Weird lil pet peeve of mine is when ppl draw jing yuan as an actual child in high cloud quintet yrs bc of that one throwaway line in blade’s character story that calls him a “boy” and a “youth” when he got Starfall Reverie

#it’s either a poor translation or a weird choice from cn writers (zero clue what is said in cn haven’t cared enough to dive that deeply) but #we clearly see jing yuan as a grown ass man w the quintet #and yingxing quite simply did not live long enough for jy to have aged from child to man #the timeframe between that ‘boy’/‘youth’ description and the pics we see of adult jing yuan w the quintet can’t be more than like 40/50 yrs #which is not enough time for jy to have grown from child to adult we Know that takes like 500 yrs for xianzhou natives #I doubt we’ll get full confirmation but imo evidence points to him being like early 20s equivalent during the quintet #pattering on the roof
