Yess!! Thank you for requesting! I like this! Also it was my first time writing for Tohma, so I hope I got him right. I was gonna do it in a different way, but I think this one is good.

This is why I asked the Y/N question, and even though it's not finished, I looked to see which one had the most votes. It's only present in Jin's and only for a brief moment.

(The funny thing is despite being bright orange, I almost always can't find Sho's banner for a minute.)

Jin knew you were famous, but he never really looked into it, that was until a random general student approached you.

They asked if you were (Y/N), and when you confirmed it, they asked for your autograph.

When you finished, Jin asked about it. When you tell him that you did some acting and modeling gigs before you got, he's honestly surprised and a bit interested.

He starts researching all the things you did. He watched all the movies or TV shows you acted in, and started collecting any magazines you were in.

He became your biggest fan all in one night.

He'd purchase clothes for you to model in, and if you want him to he’ll take pictures.

He knows you can't go back until your curse is broken, but he’ll try to help in anyway he can.

Tohma knew who you were when he saw you. He’d seen you online, but he never really looked into you.

When you two started dating, you told him that you were famous, not wanting to hide anything from him, not that you could anyways.

Tohma looked into all the movies and TV shows that you did. He'd watch them, curious to see what you’d acted in.

He’d make his lock screen a character that you played, though he had to narrow it down cause he liked all the characters you played.

He'd also look into you modeling, but it didn’t capture his attention as much as your acting did.

He’d get outfits that he'd think look good on you, and have you model them if you ever mention wanting to do it.

He’ll even manage an account for you if you ever want to post modeling pictures again.

Kaito has the feeling he's seen you before. Then it hits him, it's his favorite actor and model.

He's freaking out that he's actually met (Y/N), and that he's dating you.

He asks for your autograph when he meets back up with you.

He's showing you all the tiktok edits of you, ones that he liked beforehand.

He started watching all your movies, and loves every character you play even if most of them are background characters. He's also watching any TV shows you're in, but only the scenes that you're in.

He has every modeling picture of yours saved on his phone, and he looks at them whenever he has a bad day.

He's making so many tik tok edits of you and your characters. He's your number 1 fan.

Luca has never heard of you, at least until you told him.

He's interested in what you do, even when you tell him it's just small stuff.

He's sitting down watching everything that you're in, gushing over every character you play.

He also goes through every photo of your photoshoots that he can find, and he's showering you with all the praise he can.

He has a photo of a character you play as his lock screen, and a modeling picture of you as his home screen.

He’d be your cameraman if you ever decided you wanted to model again.

He’d follow any social media accounts you have, and like and comment on them, as he looks through them.

Alan had no idea that you’re famous, at least until Leo and other Vagastorm students recognized you.

When he asks about how they know you, you mention that you’re famous. Alan is surprised and curious about it.

He asks Leo how to find whatever movies and TV shows you've been in. He helps him and explains how to do it.

He starts watching the movies and TV shows and is immediately drawn to your character, whether that be a background character or a main character.

Leo would also show him you modeling pictures, which also interests Alan.

He's not good at technology, so he'd ask you how to like the photos that you’d post. Even still, he's your biggest fan.

Leo was scrolling through his tiktok, when he saw an edit of someone who looked like you.

He’d laugh and send a screenshot of it to you, but then you'd drop the bombshell that it was you.

He’d be so bewildered at your response for a couple minutes, but then he'd question you.

He's watching everything you did, poking a bit of fun at the characters you play, but he still loves all of them.

He has all your modeling pictures saved, and he's hoping you’d post more.

He'd post pictures of you on his tiktok, essentially bragging that he was dating you.

He'd run a fan account that’s just about you, but he wouldn’t tell anybody.

Sho’s seen you from a movie you starred in.

It was his favorite character, and he was excited that you two were dating.

He'd pester you into watching your stuff, and having a movie marathon.

He's also binging your shows. His favorite characters are always the ones you play.

He didn’t realize you did modeling too. When you tell him that you do, he's finding as many as he can.

He'd post a couple of photos of you and him, and laugh at all your fans wishing they were him.

He would be on all your socials, eagerly looking forward to your next post.

summary; putting words in jj’s mouth after an unexpected pregnancy has you uneasy about the future of your relationship along with a gnawing emptiness of what jj will think. warnings; pregnancy, one mention of throwing up, suggestive, talks of sex, fluff, all of my characters are always aged up but they had to be in school for this so i set them in high school, as seniors, making them 18. this takes place somewhat in season 3, except JJ’s house never got the eviction notice and they went back to school. also mention of luke. did it this way cause i felt like i was i need of a new setting other the chateau (rip it will be missed :/) pairing; jj maybank x fem!pregnant!reader authors note; decided to put this one out, as i have gotten a lot of requests about dad!jj and i’m giving them a separate masterlist of their own. i figured they needed to be in order lol. so i guess in a way this can be considered the first of dad!jj series. cred to gif owner !

You’re spiraling over the life forming inside of you and JJ—oddly enough is fretting about his class project final. Something that would usually be of no concern to JJ, but he actually wants to pass senior year.

Building an ancient, time-consuming model of some old landscape and having an actual child were two completely different things. From opposite worlds and of varying natures.

Spontaneous cravings all the way down to a late period.

It’s instinct really, to skip school and confirm your suspicions— though, it’s pretty much certain. JJ caught on half way throughout the school day, so wrapped up in this project that he hadn’t noticed you slipping away. Sneaking out of the exit door after throwing up rancid lunch. If he was aware, there’s not a doubt that he would have followed. He was the one that showed you that escape route from the hell site on a monday long ago when school was too much to bare— that was when the two were freshmen, for now they are seniors carrying the weight of the future on their shoulders, including the plus one in your belly.

You’d sobbed profusely into your knees, they were pulled all the way up to your chest on that tiled floor. The detrimental pregnancy test, with two lines, is sat atop JJ’s bathroom counter, taunting you in a manner of ‘now you have to face me.’ Debating whether or not to take this as life altering or life shattering. You knew JJ like every crevice in the palm of his hand, but you could never be set on his reaction for something like this. Always prominent in his ways about 'being in this for the long run', could having a baby change that?

You had to tell him, there was no other way around it. For it's always been a do tell promise that nothing goes unsaid in the relationship.

"What the fuck am I gonna' do?" Is all that curses past your lips repeatedly through choked tears.

The tears are not for the tiny being inside you; its fear. The fear of the unknown, or the uncertainty. So young, so much ahead. A small sliver of a thought that maybe you'd have to do this alone.

Your heart almost falls to the heals of your feet at the doors opening and closing, and the throwing down of book bags. Shakily pressing your finger to the phone that's beside you, the time reading 2:30 PM, meaning school was over and you'd have to get your act together to face JJ. Whom, had left you several missed calls and text messages concerning your whereabouts. Even so, it would be of no surprise to JJ that you were here; basically, here every day and home when you had to be, that's how the story goes. It's imaginable that you'll be sticking around as often as you'd be able to, because telling your parents would indefinitely make them disown you. Having a baby with the Luke Maybank's son and the towns 'well-known kleptomaniac' wouldn't exactly be music to their ears. The only positive in that picture is that Luke's not around, you and JJ have been slumming it in his childhood home since. You'd helped him fix it up so that it would be 'livable', and he adored that someone would cherish him that much to do such things. He'll have another form of adoration, soon enough though.

"JJ, a beer is not gonna' help you get this shit done."

You could hear John B mumble at JJ, and as it would to most curiosity strikes. Taking in the push and pull of the standard refrigerator, not far away, the bathroom, kitchen, and living room all but feet away from each other. Easy access to eavesdrop and hear whatever words were to slither out of someone's mouth. God, you swore the walls were bound to cave in and topple atop of you. You picture John B's mouth agape and disgusted at JJ's lack of focus.

"Get's my brain goin', y'know."

His voice that you'd usually get giddy everywhere from hearing, is now taunting you; making your insides turn to mush. Quick to your feet, you clamp your ear to the chipped door whilst fixing your disheveled hair in the mirror, by tucking it behind your ear and wiping away the salty tears with pad of your thumb. Something JJ would do impulsively. As well as, the little pink and white stick that's knocking the breath from your lungs and tucking it in the back pocket of your printed shorts.

"You ready to start?" John B sighs exasperatedly. Aware that his best friend is never prepared for anything. You aren't sure of what they are 'starting' but you can't help but wonder if JJ's caught on, if he's noticed the tendencies you've acquired since becoming pregnant. Already being hesitant on telling him of the stick you peed on, or that this is going to dictate the course of the rest of his life. Is the new formation of hormones within you causing you to twist words or is it plain truth?

One could only hope.

"M'not even ready yet, need to do so much stuff before I'm ready."

It stings; like multiple daggers had been chided at your heart or a million bee's attacking. This only makes since that he's referring to not wanting to be a father, right? What else could he possibly not be ready for? It's assuming, it's jumping to conclusions, but right now it makes a hell of a lot more sense than anything else. JJ's capable of eons of things, being stuck with you and a baby for the rest of his life may not be in his peripheral. He's confirming it right now, you just heard it with your own two ears.

Unbeknownst to you it was a about a damn silly school project and that he would've stretched time and space to keep his profound little family in one piece. If only he'd known. If only you'd told him.

There were no supplies, no class instructions, to justify that it was only a monumental historic copy for Mr. Sunn's class. Just conversation.

You physically can't allow the words to come out of your mouth, for it will be in the form of word vomit after his resonating and everlasting statement. You can't face him, no, not about the life he helped form. Too soon, and too much. Selfishly, he's not ready but you want to hang onto him a little longer. With JJ is where you reside, and you desire to bury the love he's giving you and harvest it deep down; enough for two. He's not prepared, and all you're hearing is this is this the end of all you've ever known.

World record for misunderstandings.

John B was on the verge of speaking, yet he doesn't when the bathroom door creeks open. You appear in frame, a shell of the person you were moments ago, unevident that you'd shed enough tears for a small river. The hiding is beginning, you decide to swallow it down and keep it there. Dreaming up all the ways you'd have to conceal as huge a secret as this.

Trepidation; of JJ, and for yourself and the baby; blistering, mirroring that of an open scar.

"Is that my girl?!"

You're met with John B sprawled out on the vacant leather couch, another thing Luke destroyed alike with JJ. And, JJ's practically jumping from the recliner and swarming you in a hug that makes you form a half enticing grin whilst smothering you into his large chest. His sleeveless arms bulking in size at this gesture.

"Great, now we really aren't gonna' get anything done," John B grabs at his temples in annoyance. The partnered project supposed to be the focus of today. Conscious of the fact that anytime you are around JJ loses all logic because you become the center of attention. As if half his brain flies out the window he's so invested in you, rather than anything else. He gives up on any aspiration that this replica will be finished. You still saunter on about what exactly they 'have to get done', but they are almost always up to something. JJ's out of context words were what gave need be, and you were fixed on that.

"What happened today? Been thinkin' about you like crazy."

"Nurse sent me home."

You fib so harshly that is burns past your lips, the lie is so loud you're amazed he didn't see through it. You mumble into his chest has him releasing you, only to cup your cheeks in a squishing manner. He’s disastrously anguished to maul you with affection, but he decided to spare John B the show.

"Everything alright?"

And he tries to read your wandering eyes, but still taut eye contact is there so he thinks nothing of it. It is when you won't look at him that he's concerned, however you still do.

An 'act normal' practically engraved in your thoughts. When you really want to break away from his hold and run for the hills.

"Just a bad lunch."

"Yeah, that school meatloaf'll get you, baby."

Blonde fluffed out tresses catch glance and your mixed up mind is pondering on what color hair the baby will have. Will the small child be a constant reminder that their dad 'wasn't ready?" Stood together in the open space of his connecting hallway, you'll look back on this in utter agony.

"She told me to rest."

You mutter it softly whilst JJ has a stupid lovesick grin plastered on his face, peering down at you like you are his lifeline. And you're peering up at him, with a small glint and awareness that he'd be gone with the wind when you reveal the surreptitious unknown.

"Want me to come with you? I'll have this wrapped up in like ... five minutes," he's eager that you'll say yes, mustering a middle finger at John B who is sighing in vexation. What he would give to pass senior year, John B fully know's he'll have to beg Pope to do this for the both of them.

It's an immediate no, he's 'not ready', therefore a cuddle is the last thing that needs to happen. Maybe if you wouldn't have eavesdropped you could've just lived in ignorance bliss.

Though it was never the truth.

"No!," you somewhat interject, keeping the cause of all this in mind. "No J, m'really tired, finish what you were doing yeah?"

His grin immediately falls to a pout, he can't force you if you won't let him. Instead he says nothing, shaking his head 'yes' with knitted eyebrows. Pulling your cupped cheeks in closer to feather multiple light pecks to your hairline, each one more eternal that the last.

With recollection that you'd be gulping down this hard to swallow pill on your own.

Coping; all you can manage to do.

Between punching multiple hard to find holes in your bedroom walls and covering them up with posters to gut-wrenching, pillow-screaming whimpers.

How does one ever truly 'get ready' for bringing a new life into this sought out world?

You'd been wallowing in the despair of having to be both a mother and a father, with JJ saying such things— it's nearly certain he'll be out of the picture.

Alike with you, avoiding him on any given occasion.

Saturdays were date night and he consistently topped the last date, because even if schedules weren't aligning throughout the week he'd have that day to make it up to you, how ever he saw fit.

You ditched.

Texting something about, 'parents are on my ass, can't come tonght.'

On all occasions you found a way despite your parents thoughts, so JJ's suspicion is growing like immovable fire.

With that being said, a day later, he was secure in providing you with a loving semi-guilt trip, along the lines of 'if you don't come over tonight you are confirming that you don't love me anymore,' with a dauting smiley face.

Such a baby, unfortunate that he's not prepared for one because they would've gotten along just fine.

The reasoning behind why you are hopelessly distant from JJ in his twin sized bed. He's grumbling and mumbling after you pushed him away with a 'm'too hot right now.' Blankets thrown about in such a dimly lit room, his vivdly colored TV played a miscellaneous movie whilst his bedside table lamp joined in with its yellow toned rays.

His arms behind his head, colliding with the headboard in such a sensous way, shirtless figure scanning yours in yearning. Jesus, he just wanted to delve into your skin.

How could he ever resist you.

If he can't consume you with his fondling embrace, he will caress what's in reach.

Touching hard on his thoughts, whilst the likelihood of raising a baby on your own is arising in yours.

It's roaring loudly, along with the reality that you hid it from him.

What would've been the right thing to do?

A wash of panic prods, with JJ's lingering touch now against your skin. His digits dance like clockwork, ghosting your inner thigh. Before you can even retch out a 'stop' he's beneath the material of your old Bait Shop t-shirt that he lended you. Palming the skin expertly, and while he's at it he inches closer with his breath thick against your ear. Your mouth ran dry, lying still and flat in awkwardness, prying your focus on the random film. The small twin bed not giving you enough time or space to come up with another excuse.

"Missed you so much."

His voice is raspy against your ear, igniting every filament of your body that belonged to him. The hold he had on you, sickening and you are conversant with what's about to leave his mouth.

The more he keeps circling, and clinging to the small mound of your stomach, the more his mind goes blank. It had this particular bludge to it and he can writhe it beneath his fingertips. Horror fills your irises, whilst a bewildering form of fascination filled his.

There's no right way to ask as woman if their stomach has gotten bigger or if they've been eating more. That's like asking to get beat with a bat. You just don't.

JJ has foraged every unreachable portion that molds you and that ... that wasn't there.

That undeniable little Goddamn baby bump wasn’t there.

He’s studied you inside and out, and that just wasn’t there.

It’s freshly shaped and growing with glee.

His repeated motions are coming to a halt and they pause directly in the middle. Feeling for what he deemed this to be.

What the fuck? It runs rampant in his mind— not negatively he just doesn’t know what to think, how to say it, or how to not come off as a complete dick by asking what he’s about to ask.

“Your belly is more round than usual.”

Merely thought out, and not too harsh. Just stating the obvious at the rounded baby bump that’s colliding with his calloused ring-clad fingers. The entirety of his large hand sprawled out in separated fingers. He sits straight up, hairs on the nape of his neck screeched outwardly.

“M’ a bit bloated.”

You don’t take his words to heart as it’s obviously not from that. You smile, lying through your teeth once again. And JJ senses it, this is as pregnant a stomach if he’s ever touched one. His hands fall backward, beaming down at you in longing that you’ll change your answer.

“Bloated baby? That’s— that’s not … bloated.”

There’s no interest in continuing on with this facade he’s felt it, he’s not a complete idiot. What informed John B of chants wickedly and is beckoning you not tell him. You’ve found you way back to his room with reason, so what’s the use in hiding it anymore. The bump would’ve become more noticeable anyway, you couldn’t have gotten away with it forever.

“M’pregnant J.”

You are seated upward now, facing him whilst reaching for his large hands to take them into your smaller ones. Shared hands, facing eachother in criss crossed stances on that same old twin mattress. He shakes his head back in forth in disbelief— how is this real?

“W-what?! When did you find out? How?— shit. I mean I know how … there was the time in the bathroom at the Wreck … and that one time in the twinkie … and-and let’s not forget about the time in the kitchen-“

“J, that’s not important right now, focus.”

You remind in interruption, nagging off his antics about the shared sexual rendezvous. The only only thing … the only fucking thing JJ feels right now is sheer euphoria at the moment he gets to meet the little baby.

Always envisioning of being a father and giving his children all the love he had stored away from the beckoning of Luke. The love he got from his father was convenient love, and after every fight his dreams of the future family he could have grew tenfold.

“We’re having a fuckin’ baby?!”

The fact the you didn’t tell him beforehand is in the back of his mind, but he’s overlooking it in sheer elation. Joy for what’s to come. For even that promise to tell each other everything is not enough to ruin this moment for him.

“Yes, J.”

“Let me see!”

He’s anxiously lifting the bottom of the shirt up, revealing a plump baby bump purging outwordly. And a toothy shit eating grin is plastered on his sweet lips, awe is evident and he’s stricken with amazement. You couldn’t have asked for a better reaction, a better lover. Breezing past the part of him not being ready, because clearly you read into things too deeply if this is his truthful response. And it is, it’s so genuine you feel it in your bones. As he’s colliding his hands with your stomach once more, and connecting his lips with yours in celebration. Molding and mixing them together with ease, an effortless depiction of besot.

If only he could frame this and let it drift on for eternity.

“Carrying our baby so perfect, pretty girl.”

Letting this little heavenscent angel inside of you be a reminder that misunderstandings are a bitch.

IDGAF that Elain's Feminine

"You hate on Elain because she's traditionally feminine,"

No bitch, I hate Elain because she's a self serving, ungrateful hypocrite, as I've explained in many previous posts. I hate her for how she abandoned Nesta, pushes her boundaries and never once returned the love Nesta gave her. Nesta coddling her the way she did was wrong, admittedly, but could've been solved with a basic conversation about boundaries. Many characters could benefit from one, and a lot of problems would solve themselves if they just respected boundaries.

Perhaps there are a few who don't like feminine characters, but there are just as many, if not more, who are simply indifferent since we know little about her or her opinions/thoughts. Others don't like her for the reasons I mentioned above. So saying she's hated for being feminine is a bit extreme.

Especially since my favourite characters in many forms of media are the traditionally feminine ones. Evangeline Fox is my favourite FMC, and don't really think I'll be able to move on from her when I finish A curse for true love. She's my fictional role model, from her aesthetic to her bravery to her determination.

I also adore Tohru Honda from Fruits basket, Anne Halford from Sugar Apple Fairytale, Adora, Bow, and Glimmer from She-Ra, and the Sailor Scouts (Sailor Moon).

I grew up on the muted, pastel hues of Care Bares G1, My Little pony (G1) with a hint of action from Transformers and Avengers. So as much as I love a kick ass heroine, riding off into battle or saving the world, I love the ones who want to spend all day dressing up in pretty gowns. baking and petting cute animals just as much, if not more.

So, no. I don't hate Elaine for 'being too feminine'. I would've actually loved Elain, if not for the way she treated Nesta. If nothing else, I there's a chance Elain is only doing it to avoid being nest on the IC's chopping block, in which case, I'll understand why, view her as a victim, while insisting she needs to make some serious apologies, and advocate for her to receive some serious apologies too. But until we find out what's going through her head, we can only have the version of her we see through the eyes and experiences of other characters.

Hear me out:

Zoe shouldn't exist. They should have given the Bee Miraculous to Rose or Aurore. Perfect patch up. No need for a last-minute self insert character.

It's the bad fanfic writing that gets me guys.

I hear Zoe is finally becoming her own character, tho. Good for her. Good for you, Zoe stans. Just wish she wasn't a last-minute insert made out of spite.

But if you really want Zoe to be a thing...

I wish she was introduced in like the end of season 2 right after Queen Wasp. Cut out that scene where Marinette reunites someone with their toxic family member.

Zoe shows up after Malediktator, giving Chloe more reason to feel unloved, stopping Chloe's kindness in its tracks, leaving her hurt and in pain, her desperation for attention made more clear, highlighting her Descent into Madness.

Zoe could actually genuinely try to connect with her in season 3 because Zoe at least has her own dad in America who raised her right, unlike Andre. Then show us a confused Chloe who rages out and hates Zoe for seemingly taking mom away from her all these years.

Little does she know that Audrey doesn't really care about either of them.

This is how we get Miracle Queen. Chloe actively asking for Hawkmoth to make her "exceptional" for her mom since Ladybug seems to have abandoned her, too. (Marinette notices her being difficult instead of Marinette just being jealous of Kagami like in canon) Audrey, of course, after being de-akumatized, looks the other way.

Then, in season 4, we have Lila manipulate Chloe like in Miraculer, only different. Chloe would be the one Gabriel assigned to look out for Adrien at school while he assigns Lila to "look out for him" during modeling.

Lila manipulates Chloe out of the way, which Gabriel knew Lila would do. Chloe, meanwhile, is losing Adrien in her grief and rage. Sabrina is losing Chloe to the stress of Lila's schemes to get Chloe alone and vulnerable through rumors, which isn't hard because of Chloe's past bullying. (What's that? Believable manipulation?)

But Zoe is still there, and she sees, so Sabrina goes to her. But when they confront her, Chloe sees it as a betrayal. She thinks she's lost Sabrina to Zoe like she lost her mom. So she curses them both. And who does she have left other than Uncle Gabriel.

Chloe has become a proper pawn in Lila and Gabriel's game. A sad, miserable, vindictive little pawn.

A solid tragic character. Chloe the Sympathetic Villain. (Unlike Gabriel, who we all seem to agree is a stupid asshat). Now, what will become of her?

Isn't that so much better?

as i promised lol. im just gonna point out why they're similar and some hc on what i think they would act like or do if they meet each other. i don't give 100% attention to all of enstars characters (there's 49 of them give me a break), meaning i don't analyze them in great details so please do correct me if i'm wrong on certain things.

Izumi Sena & Romeo Lucci

starting off with a fan favorite my favorites

both are famous for being harsh, bullies, nagging (according to others), and complain a lot (also according to others)

both are METICULOUS when it comes to appearance and they live in the name of beauty (maybe i do have a type)

Izumi's hobby is literally health management since he works as both model and idol but in the story he's shown to be more ambitious in the modeling industry (since it's the career he gain individually while idol is a group thing) but ofc he's still taking his idol job seriously too.

Izumi lives in Florence, Italy for his modeling jobs. ITALY!

I'll be honest with you my first impression of Romeo was "this guy is Izumi if he has a gun and can curse as easy as he breathe" since in enstars you can't really do both of them. Believe me when I say they way they talk and sound are so similar (or perhaps because im biased) that at one point i was too much in denial to let the world know that i like these two

OUT OF ANY TYPE THAT I CAN HAVE, I JUST HAD TO HAVE THIS ONE???! fml

I can see them being best friends. Izumi is living in Italy with his unit-mate Leo (Tsukinaga) while Romeo has Taiga to take care of and I just know they'd talk shit about those two like they're rats living in their apartment rent free but the second they wanna be independent they'd claim that "Your life is mine. You should've thought about that before giving it all up in the palm of my hand."

If I can ask for one thing I would ask Izumi to model for Romeo's brand. Both of them has eyes for fashion and they'd either agree on every piece or have a long argument on why something is not worth to be presented into the world. And honestly if Romeo has to listen to someone on this topic, Izumi would be the person he'll listen to despite both of them can be headstrong at times. There's just no way they don't understand one another on first meeting.

These two are TWINS separated at birth.

Kaoru Hakaze & Rui Mizuki

the way both of them actually said that they're not into guys multiple times is too funny to me. aren't you gonna address the "vampire" that's attached to your hip :/

Until I know of Rui's existence... Kaoru was NOTHING compared to him im sorry dude 😭 Rui just,,, straight up invite you to bed despite his curse and shit,, Kaoru just never did that (i think) but hey i believe if kaoru was also cursed he'd also go all out.

Rui can talk about anything to him but the most concerning part was the fact that he couldn't touch girls anymore. And I can see Kaoru sympathizing with him.

Oh and also the fact that they have vampires for dorm/unit leaders that they're in charge of

Chiaki Morisawa & Haru Sagara

These two would not think twice to save their loved ones even tho they're well aware it's going to hurt them bad. Haru never mentioned about being a hero or liking any hero stuff like Chiaki but they're both giving hero vibes to me. Chiaki is Ranger Red in his unit while Haru is literally a ranger (ik it's two different thing but let me have this).

THEY'RE SO............ IF I CAN PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE TO MAKE THEM STOP SACRIFICING THEMSELVES LIKE THAT I WOULD'VE DONE IT ALREADY! Stop taking all the burden yourself yk :<

Chiaki is called the dad of the group while Haru is the mom of the house lol. And their partners are the slow spoken, soft-looking, other-worldly human that look like cinamonroll but would kill anyone who hurt them (will be mentioned in this post)

Listen... I think Ryuseitai (the idol unit Chiaki is in) should collab with Jabberwock... like, Chiaki love to perform especially to inspire kids about heroes and Jabberwock can profit from more people coming to the safari.

Another one of their hobbies is to bother their "slacker" juniors. Midori and Ren which I will talk about in this post too.

Let's be real Jabberwock is basically Ryuseitai (minus two members)

Stupid Trio

THE REASON IM PUTTING THOSE THREE IN THE BEGINNING WAS BECAUSE I NEED YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT NOT ONLY THEY'RE INDIVIDUALLY SIMILAR TO EACH OTHER BUT ALSO AS A GROUP. Imagine my surprise when I find out that dumbass trio in enstars also exist in tkdb... and their dynamics are basically the same... Romeo, Rui, and Haru being friends from different houses is basically like Izumi, Kaoru, and Chiaki being friends from different unit (they used to be classmates in 3rd grade tho).

Romeo and Izumi is the complainer who are never satisfied; Haru and Chiaki are the always-smiling ones who would drag them towards chaos (the source of headache for the grey characters); Rui and Kaoru are the miserable playboy who is either chaos enabler or the mature one when needed (usually the chaos enabler).

Either way they're all malewives. All 6 of them. I love finding them in every universe and I hope they always do find each other.

And the reason I love this group of friends the most were because of Romeo and Izumi... the other two are such a headache for them lol (sorry not sorry romeo izumi)

I like each of them individually but I will sell my soul to see these trio interacts.

Rei Sakuma & Edward Hart

For Rei it's just a persona but he actually carry a genetic disease that makes him unable to be active much during the day. This guy avoids the sun as much as Ed does and instead of sucking blood he drinks tomato juice.

Maybe Rei is actually Ed's descendant but the vampire genetic got washed down after so many generations lol

the always-tired leaders who just sit there mysteriously as they observe everything around them. They had the wisdom and power to take over the world but they're too merciful to do so. Or maybe because they know people are too stubborn to listen to them, so why bother?

"What defines human?"

Old grandpas who rely too much on their blonde wives (Kaoru and Rui) and love to tease their "pet" wolf lol (Koga and Lyca).

Ed is every trait of persona that Rei builds around himself in a flesh I find it so funny.

Rei and Ed would understand each other so well. Rei was mature beyond his age (even when he was a kid) and it's never easy for someone to be that way. The burden they've been carrying would be enough for them to be the villain but they just... don't.

Would show off their wives like they're trophy wives and they'd even make it a competition. Believe me on this.

Kanata Shinkai & Towa Otonashi

The spouse of the hero/ranger leader lol. And they can be overly protective about it.

Looks like cinamonroll but can actually kill you.

Stronger than they look... they're just... they can be dangerous if you push the wrong buttons.

They're really weird in their own way 😭. Towa eats flowers and Kanata love to soak himself in water whenever he got the chance so that he doesn't dry up (he used to be this cult god and for a period of his life he believed he was god of the sea or something. correct me if I'm wrong)

Kanata's theme revolve around fish and sea theme (his family owns some kind of aquatic creature business(?) well, aquariums) so whenever he's seen cooking or eating fish people would call it cannibalism 😭 but then he says it's ok to eat those creatures that he "rules" 😭. As for Towa... well we know what happens to anomalies who piss him off and he's not stuttering when he says he's the big guy in the area.

very similar manner of speaking, i can't really give you links to kanata's voice lines so you can just look up his name 😭🙏

Koga Oogami & Lyca Colt

tsundere puppies who actually admires their leaders but wouldn't openly admit it in the open

so yeah they bite the hands of their leaders

and also would openly oppose their team members. Koga used to call Kaoru Frivolous Guy and Flirty Bastard and Lyca calls Rui Blond Gigolo. Fitting names tbh and they deserve a reward for it.

strong sense of smell, both of them got sensitive nose.

looks rough on the edge but have gardening and painting for hobbies. so cute <3 (i feel like they'd glare at me for saying this)

I love that they both share the same eye color

If Obscuary has a frankenstein student (*cough* Jiro *cough) Obscuary would be Undead. Similar students, similar dynamics.

Midori Takamine & Ren Shiranami

I wouldn't really call Midori a slacker tbh, simply because Ren is worst 😭 at least Midori help around with his family business (grocery store)

They openly dislike their leader (Chiaki and Haru). I mean they do pester them a lot so... Haru would enter Ren's room without permission to give him a set of tasks, while Chiaki also wouldn't respect Midori's personal space and force him to sit down and watch Tokusatsu movies as a part of his training 😭

"Torture? No way! It's part of their training!" said Chiaki and Haru in unison. These two are Ren and Midori's nightmare fr. Good thing Midori doesn't have someone who actively wants to get rid of him like Towa tho.

Ren is into b-rate horror movies and gacha games while Midori love collecting plushies. Honestly tho if they both watch horror movies together they wouldn't be scared they would laugh the entire time probably.

Midori: "Ugh this is the worst I wanna kms. Why do i have to have HIM ordering me around" Ren: "You and me both. Let's ditch."

Rinne Amagi & Taiga Hoshibami

impulsive mfs with massive amount of luck they even gamble with their life without caring how it's gonna affect people close to them but they take those risk for the sake of others anyway

I can say in confidence that the second Rinne and Taiga meet each other they would kiss and make out right there and then. God did not do so for a reason because they're too powerful together.

Surprisingly enough Rinne is more conservative than you think. He would never kiss outside of marriage and as much as I like the thought of Taiga and Romeo kissing, I think Taiga would also hold himself back until he and Romeo got married. Just my personal hc tho.

They're geniuses but their behavior doesn't want you to think they are. (I'm not RinneP myself but I'm sick when people say he's dumb just because he's from a village... dude literally spend his time in library when he's not gambling lol)

I think if they switch place for a day they would have the time of their lives. Rinne running a casino??? It would take ten men to get him out of that place. Taiga maybe wouldn't be into those idol stuff but he would get into a fight with Kohaku so fast (a trained assassin turned idol IK ENSTARS IS WEIRD I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT MYSELF). Crazy:B will no longer be Crazy:B, it will be Crazy:T(aiga/Tiger).

On the topic of game reception, what are your thoughts on the current state of pokemon?

OK THIS ASK WAS SENT BEFORE THE HUGE LEAK LOL but I have a lot to say:

I watched VHS tapes, played the games, and owned merch since a young age so the series is very special to me. But I don't like the current direction at all and it's not because of the designs or nostalgia. The quality and game performance plummeted so how can I enjoy playing when there's mad lag or low frame rate that hinders my progress and worsen the experience??

It took too many years for them to realize they need to put quality over quantity after the SWSH mess, seeing that they can get away with pretty much ANYTHING and still make huge profit. You see people say that Pokemon should've never went 3D and stay 2D but tbh, it's a series that improves it's graphics as technology advances so it's not a surprise for them to finally go 3D and personally I think that's fine but just keep it looking good and fun (though I would love a 2D/3D hybrid). XY introduced a lot of new features but still lacked in some aspects that still haven't really been solved or added.

Reusing assets is common in the industry but only to a certain extent. They claimed that SWSH was taking a while to make because they were making brand new models which turned out to be a lie and they look like bootleg figures with the new lighting. The 3DS models were ripped from Pokepark, including some animations, but a lot of them still barely have any character. They have their own in-house team (Creatures Inc) so they made the decision NOT to have pokemon properly animated or look alive.... Also they made spin-offs like Ranger, Colosseum, Pokepark, and Pokken which look AMAZING

FRLG took only one year while HGSS was being developed at the same time as Platinum and took 3 years to finish that turned into one of the best games and remakes ever made. As the franchise expands, the team also needs to add more manpower but Game Freak can definitely afford to get more resources to help them?? They can't continue having a ragtag team of like 20 people to make a game back then and do the same now then expect good results... Hire more people who know how create with current gen consoles IT'S COMMON SENSE PLS also I can't believe they had a different company create BDSP knowing how beloved and groundbreaking DPPT was?? No redesigns like the previous remakes and thought it was a good idea to keep it looking a carbon copy to the DS style...

Also it's shocking to see how fan reception can change how the devs direct the next gen ESPECIALLY when it's not even real constructive criticism?? When Unova came out, I remember seeing all the online outcry about "OH THEY HAVE AN ICE CREAM CONE POKEMON AND A TRASH BAG, THEY'RE RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS EW" then actually hear it being repeated at school.... I WAS TRYING TO SURVIVE SINCE DAY 1 IN THE TRENCHES DEFENDING THIS GAME IT WAS ALWAYS GOOD AND DIDN'T NEED 10 YEARS TO AGE WELL. It's crazy how these are the same people who want another Kanto when Trubbish is Grimer (garbage waste) and Vanillite is Voltorb (based on literal items) then you could not catch any other pokemon from different regions in the main game. And the leak confirmed that the disgruntled hate from the west made the devs not release new pokemon in B2W2 and move them over to XY instead AND NOT GIVE A SINGLE GEN 5 MEGA EVOLUTION. So we were robbed because of genwunners who were fixated on the wrong things and ignored all the great content Unova brought us. It's strange how players keep complaining they want a different and fresh game, but want it to continue being super formulaic and binary like wtf do you want make up your mind

None of the switch titles really got me invested and I always end up replaying the older games but hopefully PLZA will break the curse and finally give us a nice game. Also why don't we have more spin-offs on the switch if there's so many of them floating around like the DS had a bunch??? STOP BEING COWARDS I WANT A POKEMON NINTENDOGS GAME OR THAT FIRE EMBLEM CROSSOVER WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET. I JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN AGAIN ;w;

Literally, anything by this author is top-tier storytelling writing, and you know you are always in for a fun ride!!

If you are looking for something more lighthearted, try ХИДАН ЛАЖАЕТ. It’s a fun story about video game streamer Hidan and his secret admirer, Kakuzu.

[English] Is it Life or Art? by lilac_bramble

This story is just so much fun, London socialite/model/”personality” Hidan and investment banker Kakuzu. Truly like peak Kakuhida to me. I really enjoy their relationship here. Their chemistry just works so well. This story is nearly the same word count as Game of Thrones. I am not joking. I am obsessed with authors' in-depth, detailed little tidbits of life in London.

I love stories about characters told by someone completely unrelated, like a view from outside. I think this story does it so well. I loved seeing the tiny glimpses into how other people see them. It’s a short but a very special story. They cannot escape ‘These two really care for each other’ allegations.

It is a truly amazing story from start to finish. I couldn’t stop reading it. Cruel, funny, witty dialogue, violence, great character insight, everything juicy remains in subtext and subtext alone. Lots of fun revelations are left up to the reader's interpretation, which I really enjoyed. Great example of how a sex scene can be used to show more hidden aspects of a relationship and how the two come together. The whole premise is really unusual and refreshing.

[English] Like steps of passing ghosts by Sneakend

The storytelling reminds me of an official Naruto light novel. The same like tempo and the dynamic between them just feels very much like them. The story premise is simple but satisfying. I love it when Hidan is affected by the supernatural.

[English] In Limbs and Joints by orphan_account

Zombie AU. Loved, loved, loved the ending. I hate reading zombie AU, where characters survive for a bit too long makes everything drag on and on. This story is perfect. We get them coming in, and then the end feels even more gut-wrenching but also super satisfying. Really well done!

[English] Kakuzu and the Temple of Jashin by fauvester

Ultimate comfort story. It’s camp; it’s scary, it’s gory, it’s funny. I just love everything about this story.

on Elu Thingol

No, I'm not going (at least: I'm trying not to) engage more in the debate of Feanorians vs Sindar, because it has the levels of hostility I try to avoid.

Anyway, thanks to my husband, I think I finally got a coherent mental model of Thingol that explains all his decisions without assuming he's just stupid, and even gives him a character arc. Which is nice, because before I never could conceptualize him well. (long post under the cut)

It starts with Elu being one of the elven emissaries to Valinor, so this would eman he was open-minded, adventurous and had a good insight/vibe-check. Oh, and also he is friends with Finwë. Then he returns and falls in love with Melian, which confirms the concept of him as open-minded and not avoiding a crazy adventure (marrying a Maia).

Then they marry, he builds a beautiful kingdom, and, I think, gets complacent. And (for reasons that would make sense later) I think he gets a little sanctimonious, too. A literal divine being married him, that surely must mean he is morally spotless, right? Doriath is a mini-Valinor in a way, shielded and locked from any external influence. From any corruption, any evil, any mpurity.

I'm sure he (at this point, at elast) is very worshipful about the Valar and listens to Melian's counsuel with great fervor.

At some point, the Sindar meet the Petty Dwarves and start hunting them and later it turns out those are actual people... Hearing about this may be the first breaking point for Thingol. But that whole story semi-canon, I think?

Then everything shatters in a short time — Melian (surely) has some terrible premonitions, Feanorians come to him not willing to explain a lot, they say the Black Rider is back, he's called Morgoth now, and he killed Finwë and the Trees of Valinor, and all that. also, other Finwëans come and there is some terrible secret they aren't telling him—

And eventually Thingol learns that Feanor rebelled against the Valar and his sons (+ other Noldor) murdered Thingol's kinsmen, and since Feanor has turned his back on the Valar, he, and everyone who agrees with his agenda, is no longer welcome, no longer valid, no longer a kin of Finwë, they are blasphemers.

Galadriel and others are fine, they are Finwë's grandchildren, they are welcome, they are pure enough. But not Feanor and his kin, with their blasphemous oath,

(And don't get me wrong, it legit was blasphemous. But yes, I give to Thingol here the kind of general attitude which I really dislike, sorry, he'll get better. Also, he does have good qualities too )

And of course it must be the fault of Feanor, and likely of him making the Silmarils (who the Noldor say are holy, but who knows? capturing the Light sounds a little blasphemous) that Finwë died and Morgoth returned to Beleriand. It is a logical conclusion from Thingol's point of view.

Then Beren comes and he dares to ask for Luthien's hand, and how blasphemous is that, A filthy mortal wanting for a half-Maia, what's next, he's try to capture a Silmaril? hmmm, that's an idea (since I promised Luthien to not kill him *directly*), and my crazy rebelious daughter will be kept safe.

...

(I think this is his lowest point in the "sanctimonious hypocrite" thing. It is influenced by strong emotions, too. also, one of two low points in general, the other being influenced by a curse.)

And then he realizes, gradually that a) he ignored his Maia wife's advice on that, b) it's going to end badly, c) he's not as great and faultless as he thought. Also, at some point someone points to Thingol the irony of him having married a Maia and him now objecting to Beren marrying Luthien. And he realizes how much he'd changed, he'd grown stiff and close-minded and that is not good.

(I suppose his relationship with Feanorians might have improved at this point, if C&C didn't do all the things with Luthien.)

Then Beren returns, Thingol has a change of heart, he realizes that Men have a beauty to them. He remembers his youth. He's beautiful again and, generally, I assume he's pretty cool at this point.

(And, yes, he keeps the Silmaril and doesn't try to contact the Feanorians and give it to them. Because he believes it belonged to the Valar more than to Feanor? Because in general medieval/Silm rights of ownership work differently than modern concept of ownership rights? Because Beren more or less died for the gem? Because it reminds him of his daughter? Because he wants to spite those who tried to assault her? Because he still has a bit of that moral superiority thing and thinks he deserves it? Because Melian says it is important and it will save the Beleriand at one point and they need to keep it? I suppose it was a mix of reasons.)

And then they're gone away from everybody and then he adopts Turin, and Turin— well he does what Turin does...

…and the thing with Dwarves. Oh, the thing with Dwarves.

I think it has to do with Nauglamir and Hurin(?) cursing it, and... i don't remember, but there was some cursing there in general. It does make Thingol more impulsive and greedy.

The house is empty, his daughter gone, adopted son ran away and then died, his marriage is great but it has lasted for so long already and Thingol needs something new… to be even more beautiful, to make his kingdom even more beautiful, to erase the sorrows… he's going to wear the Silmaril, common sense (and Dwarves) be damned.

And so he died.

Also-also, Thor being the one to deliver a zinging one-liner made me laugh out loud, and the WinterHawk action fills my heart with joy. Reasons why I love it: There are so many things to love about this fic. Steve being a worry-wart, Clint and Tony salivating over Steve while Bruce despairs at them, Tony finally catching a clue at the end and immediately moving in for the kill. The bit about the assassination attempt that led to all this is just beautiful - seeing how much the team cares for Tony just warms my heart. This fic is incredible, and I bet you'll love it just as much as I did!

The Reasons That Lie Beneath by itsallAvengers

Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: T Words: 10,424 Tags: Cuddle Curse, Suicidal Thoughts, Depression

Summary: When Loki decides to be a little shit and curse Steve Rogers with a cuddling spell- the Avengers are suddenly the victims of crushing hugs and constant hand-holdings. And weirdly- Steve has a strange attachment to Tony in particular. But Loki's trick reveals more to Tony than he had ever expected, and now it's time to face some terrifying realisations that come with the curse. Tony needs more fucking coffee to deal with all this.

Reasons why I love it: You'd think a fic about a cuddling-curse would be fluffy as hell, but this one digs deep into the weeds of angst. And the way it does is fantastic. Steve's pain really tugged at my heartstrings in this one, and I love seeing how the team – especially Tony – reacts once they figure out what's wrong. This fic is amazing, and I hope you give it a shot!

Favorite thing about them:

The way he is basically suppressed, or lost, little version of Messmer! It is not just that he modelled his weapon after his spear and aspires to be like him, but also the way he speaks of Marika and feels about her! He is very infatuated, loyal and oddly.... naive, considering the context! I absolutely feel like he reflects that more hopeful, more puppy-eyed child Messmer doesn't get to be. Untouched by curse or hatred of abandoned child. I love when character serves like a window into someone else too!

Ignoring this narrative nonsense that I am probably just hallucinating, I just love how sensitive he is. Seeing how he sounds passionate or pathetic or both, I expected him to be a young man, but he is listed as 'mature'! So he is like, around 40! I love me a male who doesn't lose his sensitivity with age... to better or worse. In a better turn of events, he'd be a great poet, I can tell this. :pensive:

This is a pain to explain but whereas I love how religious-fanatical he is, I ALSO hate it? He captivated me from the first invasion (as much as I didn't want to admit it), but also I read Crusade Insignia description and was like "ohhhhhh FUCK I reeeeally hate this guy already!!!" hfhghh I suppose, it is fair to be conflicted? He falls for the type of the characters you love in fiction but would dread to meet in real life!!

I feel like he and Moonrithyll would be friends! ….that are constantly bickering with each other. XD Whereas he is very fixated on Messmer and aspires to be like him, with Moonrithyll it is similar with Rellana! Rellana believes that sky and fire should be together, after all, and Moonrithyll respects trolls as descendants of Fire Giants more than she does as just loyal friends to Carians.

But whereas things between Messmer and Rellana are very good and settled, Moonrithyll constantly lets the attitude of "pledging to the Erdtree was a cringe phase for us, at least thanks to Messmer we are soooo back baby 😎" slide. Before Queelign. *million skull emojis* But despite them often fighting, they are not enemies. In fact, maybe frienemies? They have long conversations (mostly about their leages lol) that they enjoy a lot, and they have fun... until one of them says something they really should agree to disagree on already. -_- Queelign doesn't because he is too petty to not remind everyone how he is the only one to "really" respect Marika, Moonrithyll doesn't because she is honest to a fault!

^^^ Messmer and Rellana are canonically a thing, apparently, so it is somewhere in AU drawer... but still!! There are just... a lot of things between them.

^^^ Queelign is the only Fire Knight that seems to have been "spared" by Messmer's curse; he doesn't have red hair and trademark red cape! And I like to think this is deliberate. That Messmer cherishes his "innocence", seeing him as little naive version of self. He could not take that away from Queelign, nor ruin the hair color so golden, nor he wants Queelign's heart to break upon learning that true nature of Messmer's Flame comes from something existing as anathema to the Erdtree.. He never got to be a person so blinded with faith in Marika's love, but he can allow Queelign to be this...

At the same time, Messmer pities him sometimes. He sometimes feel bitter and hurt when Queelign goes on the rant about Marika's "boundless love" and "sure return someday" and wants to snap at Queelign. He has dark enjoyment pushing Queelign to think of dread of Marika's hatred and neglect and watch him break down and cry, as Messmer is almost dead inside nor he physically can have tears. He wants him to cry for them both. He also wants to comfort him. He is uncomfortable with Queelign wanting to be just like him. He also finds solace in it because Queelign gets to be a version that isn't cursed. He cherishes his naivete. He also sometimes wants to obstruct this little sunshine and curse him too but restrains himself. There are many conflicting feelings.

And yeah, it looks a bit one-sided, right? :p Messmer has such an internal conflict over Queelign, whereas the other just admires him and thinks being like him is epitome of a proper Marika's follower. But all Fire Knights know Messmer very well, and he is not an exception. Queelign is very insistent on Marika's holiness and perfection with anyone else, but when Messmer allows his suppressed hatred and knowing Marika will never embrace them again slide? Queelign argues for his sake and not hers. He genuinely hates to see him despair. The contrast between Queelign being very sensitive and Messmer becoming oddly cold for a fire wielder is also fun x)

They have a lot of tension between them most of the time, but deep down they both know. Messmer is not stingy with affectionate words for people he trusts and values, and Queelign is no more afraid to disagree with him than one would with a very moody friend. He can tell that he has special rights even compared with other Fire Knights despite not being given direct "communion" with his flame, and when Messmer tells him it is because he cherishes him the way he is, Queelign believes that.

Either I live under a rock or fandom is yet to invent ships for Queelign to BEGIN with. xD I legit don't know which ship for him would be bad? I'll know it when I see it, I suppose...?

Random headcanon:

He constantly fucks up cooking. Like, there is no way he doesn't ruin his meals. When it is not misinterpreting recipe or adding too much due to simple clumsiness, it is that he got distracted or lost in thoughts about Marika's grace. 🙄 Every time he is determined that he WILL focus and do it right, and every time he fails. When things are inedible, like, it is charcoal or looks dangerous, he resorts to making puppy eyes to other Fire Knight so they share their food with them gghkugg They are used to it! Hilde even used to cook a bit more dinner than she needed, fully expecting him to drop by!

Unpopular opinion:

I haven't watched outsiders smp however maze au intrigues me SO!

Either take this opportunity to freely ramble or tell me about Carly if you need a more specific topic.

As much as I would absolutely love to ramble about the maze au, it's very unfinished. I've been rejecting working on it because I know that if i do i may actually never recover. So I don't have a lot to say on it.....carly on the other hand.....

To learn from the tragedies: she's doing her best. She's been through a lot but won't let that drag her down at all. She becomes a little more relevant in book two where there's a a whole massive B plot about her and Ridley. The plot of tlfft was written before season two, so she and Ridley have a very different dynamic, that is to say she absolutely despises him. Hates everything to do with him. So she starts to try and understand and like hear him out and befriend him at some point. And is also like a good like pillar of hope? Doesn't let anyone else get stressed or panicked about the past. She and Alyssa make a plan of like all the things that trigger people and how to avoid them and how to help if if to occurs anyway.

Shattered dreams: typical standard Carly. I don't think there's anything really important to say here. I really like her dynamic with the triplets here. I think that was my favorite part with her in it.

One shots/you'll live until I die: I feel like Carly is such a strong character you can really put her anywhere and she'd act the same. In most of these fics she's either not around a lot or plays a sort of role model, guiding role. Some how always coming off as a sister to like almost everyone she interacts with.

I'd like to take a moment to call out Roller Gays Carly for a minute. She's awesome. Best I've ever written her think. Idk something about whatever Danger put in to Vivian Dawn just- their dynamic is amazing and it helps me write Carly better I can't explain it but yeah. Viv is like.....cannon to most of my fics unless stated otherwise. She's not always mentioned and sometimes never even is important to plot or Cary but she exists in nearly every universe.

I will make them create my world: girl has blood lust<3 cursed with violence and rage<3 killed so many people<3 anyway she's a girlboss and deserves your respect. She died to some unknown cause by the forest that he had mistreated as a child. If there's one thing I wish I would have down for that fic, it would be to include more magical or like absurd and wacky elements. I was a little too focused on the war aspect to describe the wonderland bit.

Buried masks: finally! A fighter! Despite being like theeeeeee second to last person to be brought down (they arrive in the order they died in cannon if that helps you), she makes the biggest impact. Both because at this point Sara is so tired of the waiting period and knows that Carly is very very stubborn and more importantly, rebellious. She takes matters into her own hands and jumpstarts some things to do with cheer a little early.

This isn't an entirely bad decision, as Carly would have reacted the same either way, and now Sara's made it to where she can't be a physical problem for at least a few weeks. The real issue lies in the rest of the group, but mainly Eric going like what the fuck Sara! You can't judo that to a person!

"oh but it was a gift!"

And then they realize all their 'gifts' they've collected over the years are actually terrible and weird. Which like they knew but it got blocked out over time with familiarty.

Even after Carly recovers and with Eric's help finishes Sara's whole introduction thing, she's not going down easy. This girl is a menace she gets on Sara's nerves more than anyone else and will not be sitting around and playing doll. Nope not her.

It takes some pretty intense lash back from Sara for Carly to get more in line with everybody else. I think one of the darkest moments in the fic that I keep referencing, is Carly doing something to her mask and that being Sara's sort of final straw with her.

But you'll have to keep reading to figure out what that leads into.

skating in silence/swap au: I really liked the idea of giving Carly a broken soul that represents the opposite of her in the sense that it's insecure and quiet and a little bit more compassionate over Combative. I wish more people played around with swap aus in this fandom lol, I have like 3 but broken Carly is so fun. I've been calling the "cheer" aspect of her either Cherry or Cassy and she is very sweet. Yeah the Cheer animatronic has a tendency to whatch a kid fall and skate over and slowly help them up gently with positive reinforcement only to blink and then throw them on the rink and see if they sink or swim, with no in-between.

Superhero au: She goes fast!!!! Super speed!!! She's the Vigilante Derby! She was left on the hero towers door step as a baby and Eric not knowing the correct protocol at the time took her in and just adopted her. Any way she grew up around heros and promptly hated every single one of them. She joined the training program but dropped out because of the stress it gave her. She wanted to help people but she didn't want re-ward for it. And she didn't want to deal all of the vague rules and policies that the organization had. So she talked to her father about it and he allowed her to partake in vigilantism! (She would have done it with or with out his approval but this just makes things easier) of course he has his own set of rules for her but there a lot easier to understand. Plus he helps sneak her old hero technology to use.

Ridley enters the picture at some point as a younger brother who is the exact opposite of her and absolutely adored everything hero related and went on to be one. Carly and Ridley become pretty good friends with Ben while he's there in the program.

That's all of her backstory. She appears every now and then for fighting reasons or to cause Eric stress but she's mostly ok! She teams up with Damien, Oliver and Ben later for their mission because she's in pretty good standings with all the other vigilante s in the area and after everything the organization did to Eric and Ridley she's more than happy to take it down.

Steven universe au: she's a Corrupted carnelian. I like to think her corrupted traits have like green and yellow coloring. How does she go from monster to semi-normal gem with out a bunch of diamond magic????? I- just uhhhhhh.... Idk? It happened. Well figure it out.

Anyway she hates Ridley and is super jealous of him because Eric is her guy! Eric's all excited to see her again and Ridley had no clue who she is. And it just sucks for all parties. But they get over it. Likely through celio and Wiatt stepping in.

Because Carly is corrupted she's prone to lashing out and getting agitated easily. Meaning the rest of the gems have trouble connecting with her. She is also very very anti-homeworld and completely pro-crystal gems. This causes problems with people like the triplets and Ben and sometimes even Damien tho he'd never dare admit it.

She also doesn't know lewis was a diamond. So. That's not great.

All of that will sort itself out over time. Right now where I'm currently writing and working on the plot she is in a bit of an interesting situation. After flying to home world to Save lewis and minimum wage trio because the Sara can't go five minutes with out doing unethical sciences. The crystal gems land on homeworld and begin to be chased. Unfortunately, Carly and Mask get taken by their pursuers and are Rejuvenated (memory wiped)

Now everyone is freaking out! And I don't know how I'm going to fix it yet so for the time being she's just like that!

Maze au: HALF DEMON CARLY MY BELOVED!!! She's so silly. Got sentenced to death maze for speeding/hj. I don't know why yet but that's what I've been telling myself cause it's funny. Anyway she's definitely a runner. Best one they have if I'm honest. She thrives in the maze and running helps her blow if steam so she doesnt loose it at her clearing mates. Eric wasn't her father before the maze, in fact they come from different districts but in the maze she looks up to him and respects him more than anyone else and he feels a large sense of pride in her and they are just very sweet.

Oc au: so Carly is Alive!!! And is with Winnie in his old arcade! A lot of her character has been explained through other posts already when it comes to that subject so I'm going to on a quick ramble about earlier Carly in this au.

I think one of the first scenes we ever did was Twins vrs Roller gays race? Right after everything with lewis. Anyway imagine this, your doing your average routine if spreading ghost stories about the caves beneath the facility. (I full heartily believe all of the rummers in that video tape were the twins fault.) Anyway your doing your thing and these two decked out lesbians appear behind you and ruin your story with logic! How dare they!

And then! They have the audacity to challenge you to race, in your own turf. On the rink you may have been beat but their taking you on in your grounds, they want to race you through the maze. You laugh and say easy you could beat them blind folded.

And so they hand you a set of blind folds. And yeah this race just becomes more absurd until both sets are bind folded and have their hands tied together.

Ready set go!

Twins take off! Roller gays immediately toss off the blind folds and put on skates. Their plan? Follow the twins but faster and then just lie at the end and put the blindfolds back on.

As you can see, every party involved is very mature and responsible and nothing bad happens during this race at all what do ever. No one gets injured :3

(ok so maybe the twins also cheated a little and decided to use the employee short cuts, which aren't as safety regulated as the rest of the maze, and maybe one of the mad house employees forgot to shut the plot convenient electrical hazards box And maybe they ran right into it on accident and roller gays had to take them To Oliver to help first aid with the electrical burns.)

I love the oc au so much it's so silly.

Anyway hope you enjoyed the Carly Head cannons!!! I would recommend outsiders but I'm not entirely sure if it for everyone, its 21 hours long! But if your thinking about getting into it but not wanting to make that commitment, I forced Theater to whatch it with me over the sumer with a very speedran version of the series the cut out everything that wasn't a major plot point. A Commentary on Kenosis

Like all good ideas, Kenosis came to me in a nightmare. The very night the subtitles for Episode 5 dropped, I went to sleep with the words “let’s reset these memories, one more time” haunting me as I gave spin after spin to the implications. I dreamed up the events of Ch1 a few hours later, a very close match to what ended up written. It was an unforgivingly clear nightmare, yet somehow it was hazy in that way that you can only experience while under a high fever. Must’ve been some real-time hours of swapping between N and V’s perspectives while living through a torturous loop of physical sensations.

Next day (a Sunday), the first thing I do after my morning coffee is hunt for fanart, and I find this piece – one of my absolute favorites (whose source I neglected to save).

The message couldn’t be any clearer. The world was hammering into my head that I had, needed to write this nightmare.

Writing it was torturous. I’ve never done gore before, and I discovered right here that I have an ill tendency to get too much into the role while picturing a character’s perspective; for the first time in my life, my writing physically affected me, and after each session of writing V’s surgery I’d end up hurting in a vaguely similar way. The nocebo effect was insane, really. I’d heard plenty of stories about the insane ways authors connect with their stories (a favorite one of mine is hearing the voices of their characters narrating the events to them, forcing them to stop when the narrator would break down crying), but I didn’t really buy them before. I guess this is my Special Cursed Power Technique unique to me or something.

What’s worse, each passing day the idea would spiral further and further and develop into an actual plot I couldn’t help but feel enthusiastic about. SIGKILL and The Waves appeared in my head either the same day or one day and the very next, and one too many sessions of listening to ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn (that’s an actual song title, and the phonetic spelling of Attack on Titan) gave me the finisher that The Waves demanded, though the events that’d become I Mak Siccar were always much more fuzzy in my head (which I think is easy to tell on reread), then later a Tumblr post by multiversal-pudding (who’s awesome) made me realize I couldn’t end it in such a shit note and handed me the right way to do it on a silver platter. If it weren’t for them, this story wouldn’t be half as good as it is.

I wasn’t sure if the concept had any life in it, so I posted Ch1 with the idea of it being a one-shot. Much to my dismay, it was pretty widely enjoyed, much more than any of my previous work anywhere. Another of the many special signs from the universe I got while writing this was that a friend DM’d me Ch1 on Discord saying “I think you’ll enjoy this one” and only realizing who wrote it when the AO3 embed with my nickname popped up. Really, I was just bound to writing the full thing now.

The way I wrote V from SIGKILL on is heavily modeled off my mom. This is intentional — V’s mood swings and impulses largely come from how she’d treat me earlier in life. Partly by planning, partly by discovery, Kenosis was supposed to be closure for my relationship with her, an attempt to work through the ways she felt when I lived with her, and when I moved with my dad. Their ways of talking are quite similar, too, so that saved me a good bit of dialogue torture — I wrote a good chunk of V’s dialogue just picturing what my mom would say and MDifying it a bit.

But sometime during writing The Waves, I had to draft out an abstracted hallucination of the real events in Ch1. I don’t recall where that bit ended up, it’s something about a hole opening up in V’s torso, and things pulling stuff out of the hole then shoving new, weirder stuff in. It clicked then, a quarter of the way through writing the chapter, that I was drawing imagery from a real event I’d repressed. I recall that the moment it clicked, my stomach wrenched.

This isn’t to imply that the actual events in the fanfic are an allegory or metaphor — fuck no. That’d have some abhorrent implications that I absolutely repudiate. It does mean, however, that I ended up connecting to V a lot more than I'd ever done with my characters (more than I wanted).

Slowly, Kenosis started growing and growing, occupying more and more of my head. There were stretches where I’d procrastinate through days of uni work because I couldn’t put my mind off it until I’d written enough to tire my fingers (not that much, I have little stamina most days). It even started haunting me in the twilight zone between laying in bed and falling asleep, wrenching my gut at times. It was not long before I finished The Waves that it registered that pouring this much of myself into a fanfic series and suffering that much for it was a wonderfully silly predicament to be caught in. The robot goobers really didn’t need to live through my abstracted deliriums of trauma.

I’m still not happy about it. There were much easier, healthier ways to process this trauma, but hey; what’s done is done. I’ll have to live with “projected deep personal trauma onto fanfiction” in my sin record. A year from now I’ll come back to this and laugh at how self-serious and melodramatic I got about these characters, how desperately I wanted to write V a happy ending, but right now I’m also very proud of how much I managed to achieve here.

It was tough, it was personal, it took a lot out of me, and I’ll never forget that month or so where I categorically refused to work on this stupid project until I’d gotten back on track with uni, right after I Mak Siccar, with V at her absolute worst and the end still an entire chapter’s worth of suffering away.

In our journey past trauma, we find ourselves back there over and over, and the things we find strength in can sometimes hurt us too. There’s definitely wrong ways to overcome it, and it leaves us pained and hobbling for a long time — but with time and friends on our side, healing is always at hand. God, that’s such a cheesy way to put it, but this whole thing’s cheesy as shit. I think that’s just the way I am.

I’d like to think I made it through just like V, and this is a recounting of my journey rather than a fantasy of victory. I don’t know yet. I might never. I just really, really want to hug her.

At first I meant for Kenosis to be just a quick test before moving on to larger projects where I could express myself better. Now I doubt I ever will. I’ll miss writing this dearly. I adore Uzi, N and V deeply and I hope I can keep this connection I’ve built to them for a long time.

6-2 magical turnabout

I gotta admit I was deeply skeptical of this one, because it felt weird to jump back to Apollo and Athena and Japanifornia after the tutorial, and I'd heard about the uh questionable way Phoenix and Trucy's relationship is handled, and the Gramarye retcon stuff was a mess ...

but I actually really liked it! At least as much as Turnabout Academy, where I think they are similarly "so dumb it loops back around to being fun" (not a bad place to be for an AA filler case). What gives this one the edge is that SOJ has actual gameplay again. Thank fucking god. I can click things! I can investigate! There are minigames! I have to solve puzzles myself instead of waiting for NPC Athena to do it for me! These are the most basic elements of an AA game and somehow Dual Destinies had none of them, making SOJ feel like a revelation. So I think that makes this my fave case since AA4? Wow

Anyway let's get into it

I like the idea of defendant Trucy. Trucy was so ignored in AA5, and even in AA4 where she was a major player we rarely dealt with how she honestly feels about things. So it was nice to explore that a little more. Being a defendant is a rite of passage for an Ace Attorney character. She's all grown up now.

A magic show as the scene of a murder is a really fun idea also. It just gives great excuses for the shenanigans that take place in any murder case, and the solution feels less contrived bc it is with a perpetrator and a set design where those things are expected and facilitated naturally without a shit ton of contrivances and coincidences.

Apollo and Athena, for all my complaints about how they cannibalize each other's screentime just by simultaneously existing, are a fun team. And this time we actually got a lot of interactive banter because we actually got to CLICK STUFF wow so great much gameplay.

I do really enjoy Athena. I wish this franchise would get out of the habit of creating these interesting but half-baked characters just to park them immediately in the next instalment to create more interesting but half-baked characters. I have the rest of SOJ to go but I don't imagine Athena will have much of a role to play in it, just like how Apollo got shafted in DD to make way for Athena, and Trucy fared even worse. The main cast is so bloated the games can't balance everyone.

I am THRILLED Ema is back. Some of her new sprites are sf cute too. Overall, I have to compliment SOJ's sprites, which are very detailed and have lots of different animations. Many characters have new/more expressive ones, and they look way better than DD's 3D models.

The Gramarye lore is a hot mess. I do not believe the new writer remembered that Trucy is a Gramarye on her MOM'S side, since apparently the "Gramarye creed" was "passed down from my father, from his father", making it... the Enigmar creed. I also, generally, could probably have done without some of the way the Gramaryes were discussed here. They were pretty obviously a toxic shitshow nightmare in AA4, and Phoenix explicitly wants to protect Trucy from the truth of that. Here, we introduce the Jonkler out of nowhere, and have him cursing Magnifi and taking his revenge on ... the toddler... and it's all just a little bit weird. The poster of him being CANCELLED is the funniest thing I've ever seen though so I can forgive a lot of it just for that.

Also where is my man Valant. Why the hell would Trucy invite the Onceler to her show and not him lmao. Justice for Valant!!

I've also never wished Apollo knew his heritage more than in that last bit where Tony Stark was raving about how he defeated the "last" Gramarye lmao.

Nahyuta is ... fine so far. Honestly I know he's so unpopular in fandom but he's kind of fine so far? Not an immediate fave, but not even in my bottom two. The bit where he talks about studying Japanifornian culture made me think of the Dalek that "knows everything" because it downloaded the internet in 2013.

I've been semi-spoiled for Apollo and Nahyuta having a history together, and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised that the game is not concealing this, but teasing it right from the off. I liked that in Apollovision his dialogue box is labelled "Nahyuta" even though everyone in-dialogue is calling him by his surname. I suspect this might be more a game dev limitation (character limit?) than anything else, but even if that's the case, it's a happy coincidence. The real test will be if they manage to stop Nahyuta and Apollo from feeling like a redux of Edgeworth and Phoenix, or Athena and Blackquill. Much of my issue with the end of DD was that it felt like we were just revisiting the trilogy's greatest hits without the same depth. But... whatever. I'm intrigued enough, at this point.

The biggest problem with this case, the elephant in the room, is Phoenix, who is inexplicably not there for his daughter's debut, did not even send flowers (apparently), and does not even talk to her on the phone in the last scene. This is exceedingly stupid and reeks of a total narrative oversight because they're not even trying to make some kind of point about Nick being a bad father. It's just a total lack of thought or effort. But ... anyway I have a whole other post written up about how Trucy and Phoenix's relationship is written in all the games, so, more on that another day, I guess. TL;DR Canon is a liar sometimes.

The "Gramarye[Enigmar] Family Motto" stuff, which is already so similar to the Mia Fey wisdom, could've just been collapsed into one thing: Trucy as a performer adapting that lawyer motto to her own life would be a nice way to show how Trucy is influenced by Phoenix, as well as Apollo and Athena. But uh, well, the game doesn't seem to care much about Trucy and Phoenix, so. I also find the "smile though your heart is breaking" mantra, including the JUDGE telling Trucy to look happy lmao??!?!, is like, kind of weird tonally, to the degree where I wonder if there's a culture gap happening. But I don't know enough about Japan to say.

Overall, though, I enjoyed this case. SOJ is off to an OK start with me so far, at least in comparison to DD.
