what if Dean killed Charlie himself for helping Sam with the book of the damned instead of immediately telling Dean what was happening. what if he still told Sam it was his fault for putting Charlie in harm’s way (in this scenario, anywhere near Dean with the mark on him, despite her and Sam trying to remove said mark?) what if Dean had actually killed someone important to him who trusted him and loved him?
#he should literally also have just killed Cas as well and god should have brought Cas back. again.#that’s his favorite doll right there he can’t stay dead <3 Dean Winchester would be too sad about it#anyway. Sam mopping up the blood in the library scene but it’s not the Stynes#it’s Charlie’s blood and Charlie’s body and he’s cleaning up the mess and Dean tells him at her funeral that it should be Sam burning#and Sam gets to blame himself for it <3#come on fellas if we have to fridge Charlie let’s at least give it some stakes#Dean already broke her shadow self’s arm and nearly killed her despite knowing he’d be killing the good Charlie too. what if he lost#control again. she went behind his back. Dean doesn’t react well to betrayal. and she’s Charlie! she’s supposed to be Good and Perfect!#she’s supposed to be like a little sister to him! and if dean were in his right mind he might deal with this okay#(like say. how he forgives Benny in that deleted scene for breaking and drinking from someone. when he sees Benny as a man and not the ideal#of a person who won’t ever mess up or betray him.)#but Dean is not in his right mind. and Charlie is the key to cracking the book. and he can’t let the book be cracked.#and she only came to him because she felt guilty. maybe something Rowena said dug too deep under her skin. and he’s dean! he’s still dean!#and she forgave him. (she couldn’t stay in that bunker another minute around him.) but she forgave him! he has to understand how important#it is to save him! just like he saved Sam! and Dean stands up. and you know. if this was really the show I’d still say we don’t get to see#what happens. we just get Sam mopping up the blood afterwards. that’s all.#I’m just saying. if she had to die. make it count.#spn#charlie bradbury#dean winchester

What's a Knife Between Onscreen Family // Charlie Gillespie
Summary: Filming an emotionally wrought scene on the set of your current role as a regular goes very wrong very fast. Expecting the scene to be the most taxing of the day you find yourself in the ER getting a transfusion. It’s all fun and games until someone’s holding a sharp knife incorrectly, guess it’s just something in common with co-star Jared Padalecki.
Warnings: Swearing, blood, fear, injuries, hospital, needles, angst, and fluff
Words: 3.5k (including lyrics)
A/N: I watched a part of a panel from a Supernatural con and found it hilarious that Jensen accidently stabbed Jared. So I had to write that for a Charlie Gillespie fic. Link to the video talking about the stabbing is right below this message.
Jensen Ackles Accidentally Stabbed Jared Padalecki during filming From 1:00-6:00

Masterlist
It had to be one of the most emotionally taxing scenes in your entire career as an actress on a physically demanding show. The scene had been incredibly mentally draining the daughter of a Winchester. It had been once season recurring, one series regular and now filming the third season. As the teenage Winchester, it threw a wrench in all the plans and the reckless character gave no shits.
“Okay, this is our last scene for the day!” Robert Singer, the director of his episode, called out from off stage. Standing at the top of the stairs in the Bunker, you jumped in close with a scrunched nose at the squishy sound.
Over the railing, both Jared and Jensen nodded their support from the ground level with concerned expressions. Ever since you joined the cast in season 13, they had become fathers to you. The sight of you drenched in stage blood was enough to churn their stomachs.
“I gave you the barebones of the scene so work with it. Briar’s traumatized after fighting for her life and has been gone for a while.” Robert explained, “Cas couldn’t find her. I want this to be a tribute like Dean in season 10 episode 14: The Executioner’s Song.”
Taking a deep breath in your emotions channelled into a hurricane in your chest, clenching your fingers on the knife.
“Action!”
Pacing the floor plan of the Bunker is two brothers bonded by sorrow, pain, sacrifice and love. Each throwing out locations on where Briar could be, Jack and Cas had been little help. Sam’s heart clenched tight bypassing images straight to torture. The kind of torture he had endured over the years.
Dean’s mouth opened to suggest another place when the Bunker door creaked open. The red converse appeared before the soggy jeans as the teen slowly made her way down the steps. Briar Winchester shook like a leaf staring off in the distance as the blood congealed on her face and hands.
“Briar.” Dean slowly spoke, moving towards the girl. His green eyes lit up in fury as the seventeen-year-old flinched back. Dean’s hand gently took the stained knife from the young girl.
“I-I didn’t mean to do it.” The meek voice appeared so unlike the usual confidence Briar talked with. In exhaustion, Briar’s knees collapsed, sending the teen right into Dean’s arms.
The stoic man gripped the youngest Winchester as his waist bearing her weight against his while Sam circled to be behind Dean. The choked sob echoed by another escaped the family huddle; one from Briar and the other from Dean.
“Dad.” Briar choked clenching her arms around the green-eyed adult’s shoulders, craving the safety of her father.
Ever since Dean could remember he had had a strict rule of always practising safe sex, he didn’t want a kid. Not in a world that had it out for Winchesters and not one where he might hold his child’s dead body in his arms. That all changed when Cas delivered Dean to a county jail where Briar was held just for a minor assault charge on a wealthy bully.
Dean never let himself want a future with the picket fence and the dog in the backyard but when Briar changed that. Dean would do anything for his family no matter the cost. Example: Selling his soul for Sam.
“Sh.” Dean spoke kissing the crown of her hair he savoured having his child safe in his arms, “I’ll help you to the bathroom to get cleaned up. We’ll heat some soup and toast.”
On autopilot, Dean helped Briar down the hall to the bathroom where she would freshen up and later burn the unsalvageable clothing. As Dean returned to Sam’s side, Castiel came with a sombre expression and an explanation.
“Dean. Sam.” Cas greeted them, flicking his blue gaze between the two brothers. The faint sound of the shower only picked up by the trained heightened sense of hearing from years of watching over their backs.
“Cas what the hell happened?” Dean demanded, “Why the hell is my little girl bruised and coated in blood?”
END FILMING SCENE
“Cut!” Robert called out to the large room with a big smile on his face, “I’ll watch it back. See if we need more takes.”
Jared and Jensen wiped the tears that fell from their cheeks just thinking on how wrought that scene felt. As fathers seeing a young adult in such a state severely agonized them. The duo jogged to see your back against the cold wall—a pinched expression marring your young face.
“How are you feeling after that?” Jensen asked, coming closer to squeeze your shoulders unfazed by the sticky fake blood. It was already all over his clothes from hugging you in character.
“You shouldn’t be allowed to have sharp objects.” You spoke glancing down at your knee that had been punctured by the knife. The dark jeans soaked in stage blood now concealed the real blood.
“Jensen, did you really stab another person.” Jared deadpanned his best friend referencing back a few years. Jared shoved one hand through his hair, receiving a nasty glare from the hairstylist on call.
The glare on Jensen’s face blistered the taller actor, “I didn’t stab you. You walked into the knife.”
The two bickered as they guided you back to the main stage where Robert had reached a final verdict. He had watched the replay twice along with his crew finding the raw emotion to be perfect. The little detail the three had added was well played. Dean unexpectedly consoling his daughter in tears; no threats to kill or push her to tell him what happened. The first time Briar referring to Dean as her father. Lastly, Sam’s unsure actions in consoling a young girl sucked into life like he was in his youth.
“We got a one-take winner!” Robert called out sending the entire crowd into loud applause and cheers. Jared taking most of your weight as you hobbled to the costume trailer.
The lovely costume designers helped remove the sticky shirt, jewellery and the red converse that had once been white. Only the jeans remained on your body to not mess with the wound. As much as you’d love to shower the blood off, it was near impossible, moving your knee stung and it was best to avoid aggravating it.
“Someone needs to ban Jensen from knives. Just wait till his wife finds out about this, she adores Y/N.” Martha chuckled from her sketches she designed on her breaks for a future in fashion design. Often in your free time, you would be her guinea pig with her designs using refurbished material.
Normally the banter would continue but not when your leg was bleeding, and Jared was taking you to the ER. To make time faster, Jared had scooped you into his arms to the black car their driver waited in.
“Towels are in place. Sorry, you got hurt, Kid.” Clif spoke, opening the door to the backseat where Jensen sat patiently. Unlike usual, he had seated himself in the front so you could stretch in the back.
A weak chuckle met air in the packed car from the blood loss that wasn’t overly bad but enough that Jared took the towel. His pressure on the wound caused a yelp that had Jensen flinching in guilt.
“The knife must have been sharp to cut a mouse in half,” Clif muttered turning towards the hospital close to set. Coincidently the drive took you passed the set your boyfriend currently filmed at.
“Might as well call me butter.” You retorted wincing at the throbbing pain, “You aren’t allowed any more sharp objects, Mr. Ackles.”
“Danneel already threatened to hide all the knives in the house.” The on-screen father laughed as the tension decreased in the small car. Despite the dizziness, it didn’t hide the guilt in Jensen’s green eyes.
Time flew by as you found yourself in a bed for observation and pictures for the knee. It came as a shock when the doctor requested one blood transfusion for the blood loss. The hope of being in and out had evaporated like water beads on a blistering summer day.
Julie and the Phantoms Set
Charlie adored his life as an actor where he was free to visit places, he might not have had the opportunity to do. He made friends with everyone he spoke to and even met the love of his life as an actor as well.
That being said today had been the longest one with a full schedule and barely time for lunch or snacks. Even a nap was unachievable, and he desperately wanted one for being awake for hours by now.
“Charlie! Did you know you’ve got missed calls?” Jeremy inquired, staring at the phone that went black once more. Charlie’s eyebrows came together at the mention. His family had the rough outline of times he would be unavailable to talk.
Stepping back from the craft table’s supper options, he lifted the phone from the table, bringing it to life. His lock screen showing multiple missed calls and voicemails from you, his family and two unknown numbers.
His jaw dropped further when Meghan called for the first time out of the group, “Megs?”
“Finally! Where have you been?” Meghan demanded pacing in the studio she had been using when she got the call. The pretty and successful young woman had gotten terrified at learning about Y/N.
“Filming? It’s the longest day of filming the show. It’s on the family schedule.” Charlie spoke, settling into one of the empty tables. His eyes watching the people entering and exiting the tent set up for food.
“Jesus. Mom called me when you didn’t pick up. Y/N’s in the hospital.” Meghan revealed sending the Canadian actor into a stiff posture. His hazel eyes blow wide and panic flooding his entire system.
“What?!” Charlie didn’t mean to shout nor turn paler than a piece of white paper, but it happened. The volume contracting looks from everyone in the vicinity. Owen even dropped the donut back in the box by the volume.
“She got stabbed with a knife. I sent the address earlier, and I haven’t gotten a lot of info.” Meghan told her older brother, “I know she’s getting a blood transfusion, but nothing else was released.”
Charlie couldn’t tell you what happened between Meghan telling him and reaching the hospital frantically. Nor could he figure out how Owen was in the back of the Uber with him guiding him through exercises; all thanks to Owen’s therapist for his anxiety.
His sneakers squeaked on the polished white floor in his mission to the receptionist transferring information from a chart to digital. Charlie’s painting brought him attention from the kind nurse acknowledging his presence.
“Just let me finish this one sentence.” The nurse hummed saving the information before turning their full attention to the frazzled male, “How can I help you?”
“What room is Y/N Y/L/N in? She was stabbed and needed a transfusion.” Charlie demanded deflating as Owen placed a hand on his shoulder. The Canadian’s eyes bright with panic and a deep fear
The nurse’s eyes softened, “I can’t give out information on patients unless your immediate family members.”
“I’m here-“
“Husband! He’s her husband, they eloped so she hasn’t changed her last name or updated her information.” Owen blurted out, rubbing the pad of his index finger on the black jeans he had worn for his role. The two hadn’t even bothered changing into their street clothing.
The nurse nodded their head-turning back to the computer to enter the name for the patient for the information. It took seconds before the nurse wrote on the miscellaneous sticky note of the ward and room number.
“My name is Riley. If you need any help, you can come back here, and I’ll do my best to give you answers.” Nurse Riley informed the duo with a kind smile nodding in the direction of your hospital room.
Owen’s long legs ate up the distance Charlie made in his sprint to the stairwell, “Shouldn’t we take the elevator?”
“My girlfriend is in a hospital bed. I can’t wait for an elevator.” Charlie rebuked the suggestion on the second flight. Owen’s sigh was the last sound made as the duo slammed into the door to the floor level.
Charlie and Owen appeared in the doorway of your hospital room panting from the exertion meeting the gaze of two actors. Charlie’s heart stuttered at the sight of the high volume of blood in your clothing and your hair.
The sharp gasp brought your attention to the shaking Canadian actor solely focused on scanning for wounds. His eyes barely staying on the two adult males you had been starring with for a few years. Schedule conflicts often led to no introduction to each other’s co-stars.
“What the hell?” Charlie choked stumbling to the chair beside your hospital bed next to the pole holding a blood bag, “Did you get mugged? Are you okay?”
“Char, take a breath, man.” Owen’s blue eyes shadowed with the worry as Charlie’s breathing shuddered. Owen could barely look at you covered in blood.
“Whoa! Charlie. I’m fine. This is stage blood. We had an intense scene, and there was a minor accident.” Your voice soothed the man gently taking Charlie’s hand to comfort him, “I lost a bit of blood. The doctor decided to give me a blood transfusion to bring my levels back up a bit before stitching it up.”
“How do you get stabbed accidently?” Owen questioned glancing at the two men standing silently in the corner. Due to contracts on the Supernatural set details of scenes and storylines was off-limits.
“Well, during filming, I took a knife from her, and she walked into the blade?” Jensen trailed off, shoving his elbow into Jared’s side at the scoff. It happened every time it was brought up.
“I-“Charlie blinked, shaking his head as he took a deep sigh in pushing that to the back burner to focus solely on you. His hand rubbed his face while he settled on squeezing your one hand in both of his.
The touch of your skin grounding him back to earth with the shattering visions of walking into the world without you. It would be both ways, the second his calloused warm skin brushed your hands; it was like the pain faded. Only a sense of content settled in your weary bones.
“Okay Miss Y/L/N.” Dr. Clancy walked into the room only halting to grab a pair of medical gloves, “I see your entourage grew. I’m Doctor Jim Clancy, and you must be Miss Y/L/N’s husband.”
Three pairs of eyes widened at the doctor’s words aimed towards the brunette actor turning a blushing mess. The words mouthed by Charlie to go with it gave barely any insight, but you did it. The moment you had a free minute with Charlie, you would interrogate him in the new title you had.
“Yeah, my husband.” You spoke flicking an expression to Jensen and Jared that caught on from the years together. They had taken you under their wing on your first day on set, and then you became family with their immediate family.
“I can confirm that my initial observation is that the wound doesn’t have anything that shouldn’t be in there. We stopped the bleeding, the x-ray came clean, we’ll set you up with IV fluid, and tetanus shot to be safe.”
“Nurse Gellar here will cut the rest of the jeans off, get you in a gown for a few hours of observation. Just a precaution for blood transfusions. We’ll have some scrubs you can wear when you can leave.” Dr. Clancy motioned to the tall redhead with a quiet demeanour.
Charlie’s lips lingered on your temple at the fear that flared in your expressive eyes, he would give anything to take your place. He softly sang your couple song as a whimper fell from your lips as the jean tugged the dried blood from the wound. The painful pressure felt as you guessed it had started to bleed again, the feel of liquid rolling down your skin, confirming it.
“I’ll sing anything.” Charlie whispered going through his mental catalogue of songs on your shared playlist, “Oh!”
I’m booking myself a one-way flight
I gotta see the color in your eyes
And telling myself I’m gonna be alright
Without you baby is a waste of time
The tears falling no longer came from the pain but the sheer amount of love you had for the man there. Eyes glittering with pure adoration as his voice came off absolutely heart-melting. So, lost in each other neither of you noticed Owen had been filming from the moment Charlie had said ‘oh’.
Yeah, our first date, girl, the seasons changed
It got washed away in a summer rain
You can’t undo a fall like this
’Cause love don’t know what distance is
Yeah, I know it’s crazy
Charlie’s hand slowly slid up your arms to cup your tear-streaked tacky cheeks in his warm grip. The hospital faded as it became just you and Charlie. Completely oblivious at the audience in the room.
“He loves her,” Jensen whispered to Jared out of the camera frame that the blonde-haired kid’s phone. It was such a pure moment it felt disrespectful to see this exchange but also honoured to see it firsthand.
“I’ve only seen the look in your eyes for Danneel,” Jared replied, cupping his hands over his face listening to the near inaudible wet chuckle you gave.
“As I have between you and Gen. They have the real kind of love.”
But I don’t want “good”, and I don’t want “good enough.”
I want “can’t sleep, can’t breathe without your love”
Front porch and one more kiss, it doesn’t make sense to anybody else
“Charlie.” You sobbed at the best part of your life serenading you in such a romantic moment at the odd setting—his hazel gaze greener in what would come to be a very dear memory to reminisce about.
The calloused thumb caressing your cheek wiping a teardrop away he continued to see as the doctor finished suturing the wound.
Nothing mattered other than the couple currently in a bubble.
Who cares if you’re all I think about,
I’ve searched the world and I know now,
It ain’t right if you ain’t lost your mind.
Yeah, I don’t want easy, I want crazy
Are you with me baby? Let’s be crazy
Charlie’s voice faded with the rest of the song bringing you back to reality with the nurse cleaning up around the wound. That’s how the rest of the day went on waiting for the blood transfusion and IV fluids to finish. You stuffed the tetanus shot while Charlie sang between different genres.
“Thank you.” You softly spoke with Charlie being the only one left in the room with you.
Owen had headed back to their set to finish a scene while giving the updates on you while Jared and Jensen grabbed food. J2 had been very clear they would get Martha to grab some clothing for when they came back. Jensen was determined to deliver you to your home as the first action to make it up to you.
“For what?” Charlie questioned as your index and thumb picked at the cuticles of the opposite hand. Your eyes were hidden from your boyfriend’s gaze.
“For dropping everything to be here.” The words were quiet in the room only filled with breathing and the heart machine you had to be hooked up to.
“My girl-“
“Don’t you mean wife?” You teased brushing a lock of his hair from his forehead taking in the man you had the honor of loving. Of waking up next to in the apartment, you’d been renting ever since you landed the role on Supernatural; overtime Charlie’s things had just accumulated there.
“It was the only way they’d let me in.” Charlie spoke sitting on the edge of the hospital bed, “It’s a little early to call you, but I’m excited to make you my last girlfriend and then my only wife.”
The chuckle fell from your lips, “So, you want to marry me?”
“In front of all our family and friends. Tucked away from the media to celebrate the love we have for each other.” Charlie spoke, “There’s no one else I’d like by my side for the rest of my life.”
A new flood of tears welled at the sincerity in his voice and the warmth laden in his eyes of kaleidoscope colours. Sometimes, depending on his emotion or his clothing, his eyes would be greener, or when he was happy, they had a blue tinge in the green in sadness or your favourite; brown with the swirls of green.
“How did I get so lucky to have the absolute honour to fall in love with you?” Your words created a swell of emotion in the Canadian’s heart.
“The same way whatever deities there are took pity on a boy from Dieppe by bringing him an angel.” Charlie words preceded the kiss on your lips with a grin as you chased his lips after. With one last peck, he leaned back with a fond expression.
“Seriously how do you get stabbed accidently?” Charlie chortled with that gorgeous smile lighting up the room more than the white lights.

Hey Baby (Uhh, Ahh)
Written for Lissa for Fandom Trumps Hate, Timestamp for “Nobody Puts Baby In a Corner”, 3.7k (Ao3)
Dean bounced on his toes, shaking out his arms in a useless attempt to increase blood flow to his fingertips. The blood flow was fine: it was the rampant anxiety that was making his hands tingle.
He watched the monitor backstage, trying to distract himself with some of the biggest names in wrestling having their moment – talking about the previous night’s match and setting up the challenges in the coming year.
Dean had actually gotten to see Wrestlemania the night before. He wasn’t featured – wasn’t even a name on the wind – but he’d been invited to watch the match the night before his debut on the main roster. And boy had he watched.
He’d brought Sammy to watch with him, childishly wanting to show off for his little brother. He was a part of it now. He was a part of this thing that they’d both loved. They didn’t love it the same – Sam would never audition to be a wrestler – but you couldn’t just turn off the wrestling groupie inside of you.
Now Sam was sitting off to the side, elbows on his knees, watching Dean pace.
“You’re ready for this, Dean,” he reminded him, not for the first time. “You’ve got momentum. You’ve trained for it. You’re ready.”
“Yeah, I know, Sammy,” Dean answered with a snort. “You can take the kid gloves off, it’s fine.”
Sam rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to the monitor as Dean jogged in place.
Someone shorter than Dean came up to hip check him. “Hey there, butternut.”
Dean was already smiling when he turned to her. “Charlie.”
She grinned. “You’re on deck, babycakes. This match is ending and then we’re going on commercial, letting the youngins duke it out a bit, and once we’re back, you’re on.”
Dean nodded, his heart rate picking up the slightest tick. “Yeah, thanks, Charlie.”
Her grin softened in sympathy and she patted his arm. “You’re gonna be great.”
“Why do people keep telling me that,” Dean muttered. Charlie, laughed, punching him in the shoulder and sauntering off.
“Who was that?” Sam asked, his eyes still following the little redhead down the hall.
“One of the techies,” Dean told him. “Sort of assigned to me in my move, makes sure I go where I need to.” He grinned. “And a huge lesbian so don’t even try.”
Sam shook his head, scoffing. “I wasn’t, shut up.”
Dean grinned wider.
“Befriending her is still worth it, though, if you’d like. She’s lovely.” Came a voice, coming from a different hallway than the one Charlie had just left down. “Hello, Dean.”
Dean immediately flushed. “Castiel.”
Cas smiled, gently with his lips closed, inclining his head toward Dean. He was wearing his trench coat wrapped around him, actually tied at the waste to fend off the chill of the A/C they pump through the backstage. When he goes out to the ring it’ll be gaping open, showing off his amazing abs and the tiny little trunks he wears to wrestle. Dean was very familiar.
They’d met a couple times before, though not in any official capacity. An interview once. Party of a mutual friend. They’d only been officially introduced that week to go over script and choreography.
Because Dean was moving up from NXT. He was coming to the main roster: to Smackdown, officially. And a match with Castiel was gonna get him there.
Sam cleared his throat. Dean jerked, gesturing to him.
“Castiel, this is my brother, Sam. Sammy this is Castiel.”
“The Angel,” Sam said, coming out of his chair to shake Castiel’s hand. “It’s good to meet you. I’ve been following you.”
Castiel raised an eyebrow.
Sam flushed. “I mean your career! I’m a fan. Not a stalker fan but–”
Dean cracked up. “He knew what you meant, man.” Dean turned to Castiel, his eyes dancing. “It kills me that no one else knows you’re funny.”
“I’m not funny,” Castiel told him, but his eyes were also bright with humor before looking back at Sam. “But I was messing with you, Sam. I’m sorry,”
Sam shook his head, waving off the apology. “No, don’t be, it’s fine. You’re fine.”
“Yeah, he is,” Dean said, under his breath. Cas looked over at him, his mouth tilted in a smirk. He clearly heard him.
Well, Dean wasn’t wrong. And he wasn’t going to apologize. He winked.
Castiel smirked more, actually showing some teeth.
Sam rolled his eyes. “The longer we talk, the less angelic you seem.”
Cas turned to Sam, flicking his eyebrows once in a ‘Well…’ sort of way. Then he transformed in front of their eyes.
He lost the smile, his face smoothing out into an expressionless mask, his eyes going from bright amusement to simmering righteousness. He was a couple inches shorter than Sam, the big tree, but the way he held his body, his shoulders, he was looming.
“Read the Bible,” Castiel said, his usually gravelly voice coming out even deeper and more threatening. “Angels are warriors of God. I’m a soldier.”
Sam visibly shuddered.
Castiel smiled, his shoulders slumping again. he lifted his hands and tilted his head, as if acknowledging invisible applause.
Dean almost gave him some. Almost. That was extremely hot.
“That’s where my storyline is angling now that I’m heel, anyway.” Castiel said, as if he hadn’t just brought them to church, almost literally, with that performance. “I was thinking about doing some rebranding when I turn face again. Being the Seraph instead of the Angel.”
“Sounds like a font,” Dean told him, a little dumbstruck, still.
Castiel frowned. “Yes, I feared that too.”
Sam let out a little hysterical giggle, immediately covering his mouth.
“Okay, it’s almost curtain,” Charlie said, popping her head back in. “Dean and Castiel, with me. Sam, you’ve got a seat right up front.”
Sam cleared his throat, his mouth twitching. “Thanks.” He turned to Dean, clapping a hand on his shoulder. “Break a leg.”
Dean snorted. “I’m supposed to lose.”
“So lose really cool.” Sam shrugged. “Make a splash or whatever.”
“Fuck outta here,” Dean said, shoving his hand off his shoulder, but he did move in for a hug. “Thanks.”
Sam squeezed him back, clapping him on the shoulder again as he pulled away.
They turned to Charlie and Castiel, both of whom were looking seconds away from ‘awwing’ out loud.
Sam reached forward to shake Castiel’s hand. “Good to meet you. Really,” he said, before letting go and heading toward the entrance to the floor.
The three of them watched him leave for a moment, Dean getting more and more nervous with every step Sam took away from him.
But the moment passed quickly and Charlie was corralling them both into following her to the entrance stage.
“So your brother,” Castiel starts, the two of them walking side by side. “Older or younger?”
“Younger,” Dean sighed.”But he’s so stupid tall nobody believes me when I tell them that.”
Castiel grinned. “No, I believe you. He suffers from puppy face.”
Dean barked a laugh. “Puppy face?”
“Yes. It’s not a baby face because he doesn’t look young . But when he talks to you he looks kind of excited, adoring, and wholesome. Like a puppy.”
Dean laughed again, his ears going pink thinking about it. “He is actually pretty wholesome. He’s in school to be an environmental lawyer, you know.” Dean lets out another laugh, softer this time. “Kid wants to save the world.”
Castiel hummed, his mouth serious but his eyes looking at Dean with a certain fondness.
Dean cleared his throat. “You got family?”
“No one close by,” Castiel said in a complete non-answer. “I have considered getting a pet, though. With this job, however…”
“Yeah,” Dean said. “You don’t spend too much time at home.”
Castiel hummed again, a noise of displeasure this time.
“Cats can’t take up too much work,” Dean continued. “You could get a cat. You just have to make sure someone comes in to clean the shit box if you’re away for too long.”
Castiel chuckled, eyes on the ground, smile quirking his lips. “I can certainly look into it.”
They arrived at the entrance stage, the light from the thirty foot high projection screens illuminating the back with a dull glow.
“Cue music,” Charlie said into her headset. The sound of wings flapping projected to the audience. Screams went up.
Castiel turned to Dean, his trench coat now untied and Championship belt on full view. He was sporting a wider smile than Dean had yet seen. “See you out there,” he told him.
Dean nodded but Cas had already turned away, pushing through the curtain to a gothic choir singing him to the rapture.
Dean let out a shaky breath, turning to the monitor set up just inside the door. Cas’s gait was confident and severe, stepping toward the stage with the deliberateness of a preacher walking to the pulpit.
He stepped into the ring, only deeming to duck his head to get through the ropes, but otherwise standing tall and firm. He discreetly grabbed a mic from a ref and brought it to his face, not saying anything. Just letting the audience feel his stare.
The audience booed. Well, half of them did. He was a heel; it was his job to be hated. But he was too damn lovable, he only got half the people in the stands to play along.
When the crowd had finally died down enough – not all the way, this was still a wrestling match, but enough – Castiel spoke, mouth very close to the microphone, in his deepest, most carrying gravel.
“Did you miss me?”
Cheers and jeers and boos and woos. Castiel’s face didn’t even twitch.
“How could you have missed me?” Castiel tilted his head, taunting the audience. “I didn’t go anywhere.” He spread his one arm wide. “I was champion before, and I’m champion now. No weak wrestler could take this from me.”
More noise from the audience. Castiel wasn’t as showy as some of the other wrestlers but he knew how to rile up a crown.
“I’m here, on Monday Night RAW, because I can be. Because,” he pointed out to the crowd, focusing on some lucky individual up in the stands. “You want me to be. I am the best wrestler here. We had an entire night to figure it out and last night, at Wrestlemania, I came out – I came back – with my belt.”
He pulled the belt off, raising it slowly above his head, the volume of the crowd rising with his hand.
Castiel’s presence was unlike anyone else on the roster. He didn’t saunter. He didn’t sneer. He just stood in the middle of the ring and told his truth. Like fact. Like he knew what was best and you’d just better listen.
It was captivating as hell.
“Your precious Gordon couldn’t keep it from me,” he said. “None of your supposed champions. No one who has ever been on this stage has ever had what it takes.” He pumped his fist in the air, firmly, the belt grabbing the light and throwing it back. “No one could challenge me. I dare any of you to come up here and try.”
That was Dean’s cue.
Well, the music was Dean’s cue. Four notes on a harmonica before the guitars came in, playing a vaguely rockabilly but mostly rock riff. Dean took one more deep breath before stepping out from behind the curtain onto a stage lit up with rushing colors of pink, blue, and purple.
He walked out with swagger, sweat dripping from beneath his cowboy hat but his face all cocky smiles and finger guns.
He didn’t get the same response as Cas – he was still new – but there were more people than he expected pumping their fists to Dean’s music. Screaming his name.
He had a pretty significant following already from NXT but… this was the big leagues. This was Monday Night RAW. To make his prime time debut during the Monday Night RAW after Wrestlemania was how you knew things were happening. This is where shit got real.
People were excited to see him. He was excited to see them. His nervousness melted away and he became more and more the cocky cowboy.
The last few feet, he took a running start at the ring, rollind between the ropes and popping up.
He knew the commentators now were giving the audience back home all his details. His name. His background. How they thought he would do in the big leagues. But the audience at home wasn’t Dean’s concern. He had to connect with the audience around him.
He walked around the ring, pointing at the assembly and subtly pulling a mic from a ref on the sidelines, before stepping to the middle of the ring, thumb hooked through one of the belt loops on his jeans.
He recited his opening to the largest crowd he’d ever performed in front of.
“I’m Baby Del Mar and I think y’all are mighty fine.” Dean almost stumbled. Hundreds of voices were speaking with him. He channeled the enormous grin threatening to take over his face into an arrogant smirk. “It’s time for ass-whooping” He turned and stabbed a finger in Castiel’s direction. “ He’s next in line?”
Screams went up. Wolf whistles and cowbells. Someone had smuggled in an airhorn.
They had to have known he was coming – the WWE didn’t keep many secrets – but they were reacting as if nothing so shocking had ever happened in their lives.
“I’m sorry,” Castiel said, his gruff words cutting short the people carrying on around him. “Did you say your name was ‘Baby?’ ”
Jeers from the audience. Dean wasn’t sure if it was at Cas or at him.
“I’m sure I’ll have you crying like one by the end of the match,” Cas continued his face stoic. It was more effective than any sneer or leer could have been.
“They call me baby because everyone loves me,” Dean said, spreading his arms to receive praise from the audience. And, remarkably, there was praise to be received. “And they’re gonna love me even more when I beat you, Angel.”
Dean was supposed to say his name. Was supposed to spit the word ‘Castiel ’ like it was gristle stuck in his teeth.
Dean took a… flirtier approach.
Castiel raised an eyebrow. The most emotion he’d shown in his face since he walked out. “Is that so?”
Dean winked and went off script. “Don’t worry. You’ll like it. I’m–” Dean had to cut himself off, the crowd had gotten too loud. He took the time to lick his lips. “I’m sure by the end of this, you’ll love me too.”
Cas’s face didn’t break again but for the slight creasing at the corner of his eyes, his eyes themselves bright and humorous. He was smiling. As much as he could while in character.
“We’ll see about that.”
They wrestled.
Dean lost.
It was incredible.
At one point, when Dean had broken out of Castiel’s Cupid Chokehold and stood looming over him where Cas was sitting on the ground, getting his bearings, the audience had taken up a chant.
“ Baby’s gonna kiss you. Baby’s gonna kiss you. ”
Dean had grinned, turning to pump his fist at the crowd.
He was the bisexual cowboy. Everyone knew that.
But to have people chanting…
Dean thought that may have been the happiest moment of his entire life.
And it just kept getting better.
Once Dean had been pinned, Castiel’s arm raised and belt secure, Dean pouted in the ring. Acting the baby. It was his thing.
And Castiel had turned to him and winked. Which was not his thing.
He was out of eyeline of the camera so no one saw. He maintained his eerie angelic persona.
But Dean knew.
Dean got backstage first, falling bodily into his brother’s waiting arms, both of them laughing and jovial.
“Dean that was amazing!” Sam crowed, slapping every inch of Dean he could reach. Dean was no longer wearing his shirt or his cowboy hat and was sticky with sweat but Sam didn’t seem to care. “I can’t believe you just threw your hat away.”
Dean smirked, feigning a shrug. He hadn’t gotten permission to give that hat away but “They’ll get over it.”
Sam laughed again, shaking his head. “You’re insane, man. But, damn, what a good match.”
“I agree,” came Castiel’s voice where he’d just joined them backstage. He was even smiling – a soft and crooked thing. “You’re quite the performer, Dean.”
There was nothing soft about Dean’s answering smile as it shone brightly out of his face. “Thanks, man! It felt really good being up there.”
“It always does,” Castiel said, his smile widening at Dean’s response. “And I think we worked rather well together.”
“Oh, fuck yeah, dude. It was just like,” Dean gestured back and forward with his hands, bringing them up to his head and making an explosion sound with his mouth. “Right?”
Castiel laughed, softly. “Exactly what I was thinking.”
Dean turned his grin to Sam who was also looking at Dean with more fondness than anyone over 30 should receive. “It was good, right?” He asked Sam. “Did it look as good as it felt?”
Sam nodded, slapping Dean on the shoulder again. “Yeah, man, it looked real good. I had it recorded so we can watch it tomorrow.”
Dean pumped his fist then frowned. “Why can’t we watch it tonight?”
Sam rolled his eyes, though he was still smiling. “I have an early call tomorrow. I need to go to bed .”
Dean frowned again. They were the headlining event so the night was technically over – he could hear the rustling of and shouts of the crowds as they made their way out of the arena. But... he was still super keyed up: he wasn’t ready to go home yet.
“If your brother needs to leave,” Castiel chimed in, his shoulders curved in a little, his head tilted, inquisitively. It was a weird posture on someone wearing a pair of trunks and nothing else. “the two of us could get dinner?” He smiled his soft smile again.“I’m not quite ready for the night to be over, either.”
Dean perked right back up, his chest swelling. “Yeah. Yes! I could use a burger.”
Castiel huffed a quick laugh. “I could always use a burger.”
“Awesome.” Dean was bouncing on his toes again. “Okay so… we should shower?”
Castiel nodded. “I would say, yes. Shower. Then burgers.”
“Great!” Sam said bringing his hands together in a clap. “So, Dean, I will see you at the hotel?” Sam raised an eyebrow. Nothing salacious but Dean knew what he was implying.
He blushed, clearing his throat. “Yeah, Sammy, I’ll see you at the hotel. You good to take a cab or–”
“Oh, no, I’m taking a cab,” Sam’s grin turned more wicked by the second. “I think you’re gonna want to introduce Castiel to your baby.”
“You have a baby?” Castiel asked, his head cocked (adorably) again.
Sam just winked, clapping Dean on the shoulder again. He reached forward with his other hand to shake Castiel’s. “Really good match. Great meeting you. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you again soon.”
Castiel shook back, nodding in acknowledgement, still looking mildly bewildered but too polite to press the point. “I look forward to it, Sam.”
Sam nodded, his stupid hair bouncing around his ears, and he clapped Dean once more on the back and made his way out.
“Your baby?” Castiel asked again.
Dean chuckled. “My car. You’re gonna love her.”
Castiel huffed air out through his nose in a surprised kind of laugh but gestured with his arms for Dean to proceed toward their locker room.
They showered in the unselfconscious way of two athletes, despite whatever sexual tension might be going on. They kept up a steady stream of chatter through the whole process: How was living in Japan? (Dean) What’s it like being so close with your brother? (Castiel) What’s the best burger joint in town (They had a rather intense debate about this, though a smile was never too far from either of them.)
They took the elevator down to the parking garage below the stadium – reserved exclusively for the talent. Dean hung back so he could watch Castiel see his baby for the first time.
Castiel turned his eyes from Dean, a smile still on his face and turned toward the car. He barely paused, going immediately for the passenger door and waiting for Dean to unlock it.
Dean frowned. “Nothing? I don’t get a low whistle? Not even a ‘wow’? This is my pride and joy here, Cas.”
Cas blinked, his eyes a little startled.
It was then Dean realized he’s never called Castiel ‘Cas’ out loud before now. Only in his head.
Well, that was embarrassing.
Before Dean could apologize, though, Cas was responding, the corner of his mouth twitching. “I’m sorry, Dean, I don’t know very much about cars. I didn’t need one to get around in Japan and I haven’t really picked up the habit of driving since.”
Dean put a hand to his chest, dramatically betrayed. Really he was just relieved Castiel didn’t call him on the over-familiarity. “Blasphemy! No wonder they made you evil.”
Castiel chuckled, awkwardly adjusting the grip on his gym bag. “They’re actually talking about turning me face soon.” He shrugged. “Not much more you can do with the ‘dark angel’ storyline.”
Dean snorted, leaning forward to his rest his elbows on the roof of the car. He knew it made him look casual and just a little bit deviant. He’d struck the pose a lot. “So no more hellfire and brimstone?”
Castiel smirked, bringing up a hand to tap on the door handle, not quite as bold as Dean as to lean bodily on the car. “I’m afraid so.”
Dean hummed, peeling himself off the car with a flick of his keys. “‘S too bad,” he said, sticking the key in the lock. He waited for the lock to click open before he continued. “I do like a bad boy.”
Dean took a minute to revel in the mildly shocked but definitely pleased look that came over Castiel’s face before he jerked the driver’s side door open.
“Get in the car,” he told him with a wink. “We got burgers to eat.”

She had a sister.
// While investigating an unusual murder the boys find out Charlie has a younger sister which just so happens to be the reader.
This will be a series so be prepared for more parts.
Paring: Eventual Jack x Reader.
Warnings: Mild swearing, some blood. Nothing unusual for supernatural.
Credit: to the creators of the gifs I've used. You guys are amazing.
(I know I’ve been gone a while, somethings have happened in my life but everything has been sorted and I’m back to write more stories for you guys. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing)
College was rough. At only 19, you were on your last year. Apparently the Middleton family had brains. From what you knew, your sister had a high IQ as well. You would have finished university a few years ago had you not taken some time off to 'find yourself.' Whatever that means.
Being dumped in the foster system as a baby meant that you sometimes struggles making any connections with people. You had always closed yourself off and stayed quiet as some form of protection. Everyone you loved either died or left. You had never been in a home with a real family for longer than a month. They told you that your intelligence frightened them but you had started to doubt that a long time ago.
When you finished high school at 12, you were set to go to college and for a month, you did. You tried to block out your emotions but loneliness always crept in so you stopped your education for a while. At 14, you tried again but there was no point. You didn't feel connected to anything you were doing.
At 18 once you had left the foster system, you had managed to afford an apartment with the money your family had left you but you weren't rich by any means so you had a room mate.
Nina Kelly was a sweet, kind girl and she had managed to form a friendship with you when you thought you were incapable for being liked. She was the one that convinced you to go back to college and this time it stuck. She was the same age as you and you had been studying law together, but you had managed to surpass her by a few years. Unlike most, she wasn't jealous. Only ever supportive.
So imagine your shock at finding her cold, dead body on the floor of your apartment after coming back from classes last night. You were devastated.
Maybe it was you. Perhaps you were cursed.
It sure felt that way.
Since your apartment was an active crime scene and you had already been questioned by officers, you were staying in a run down hotel room. And the last thing you had been expecting was a knock on your door so early in the morning. Not that it woke you up. You hadn't even bothered to change out of your bloodstained sundress dress, let alone think about sleeping.
With a heavy sigh, you heaved your body from the floor by the side of your bed and walked over to the door, pulling the handle down and opened it slightly to reveal two men you had never seen before. One extremely tall and the other a good amount shorter but still taller than you.
When the figured you weren't planning on speaking, they looked at you through the small crack and the shorter one began to talk. “Y/N Middleton?”
“Depends on whose asking.” Your phone had been blowing up all day with news outlets wanting a story on the mystery murder of your best friend. The last thing you wanted was to be questioned by someone wanting to make a entertainment out of your misery.
“FBI. I'm detective Mercury and this is my partner detective May.”
They both pulled two badges out of their pockets and flashed them in your direction. Maybe not the best idea. You were smart, from a mile away you could see how ridiculously wrong they had gotten certain aspects of the badge. Granted most people could probably be fooled by it but not you.
“Okay, first of all, Mercury and May? As in Freddie Mercury and Brian May from Queen?” Their jaws dropped and you couldn't help but question why. Did they think you wouldn't be able to crack their code? Or hadn't they expected someone so young to know classic rock bands? Either way you weren't in the mood for their bullshit. You were already having a rough day. “And secondly, those are so fake. Go away.”
Just as you were about to slam the door in their faces, a foot came between the crack and forced it open. Both men's eyes widening when they caught sight of your tired eyes and the dry blood on your skin and dress. You were a mess and you knew it but you didn't count on company so soon.
“Okay Carrie...” How original. “we're just here to help, that's all.”
“Oh please, if you wanted to help you would leave me alone.” Gathering they weren't leaving, you took a step back as they walked in and you sat on the edge of your bed.
“Excuse my brother, he seems to have forgotten his manners but I'm Sam and this is Dean...” Why did those names seem so familiar to you? “we're just trying to help, we know all about Nina but we want to hear from you what happened. We're not trying to cause any trouble for you or anyone in this town, we're trying to prevent it.”
Though your mind was telling you to stay away from these people, you felt as though you could trust them. The sincerity in the taller one's eyes filled you with the comfort that you had been missing for as long as you could remember so reluctantly you looked in their direction and nodded your head along.
“Okay... what do you want to know?”
After a few questions about what was happening that night, any strange behaviour, any one who would want to harm Nina and the rest of the random bullshit you had already answered to the real cops, a question came up that immediately grabbed your attention. “Did you smell sulphur at all?”
“How did you know that?” For the first time that morning, genuine curiosity flickered across your face. “I tried to tell the cops but they said it was nothing.” By the looks on their faces, it most definitely was not nothing. They looked at each other and sighed, turning towards the door.
“Hey! I was talking to you, I have a right to know what's going on.”
Just when you thought they were going to leave, the two brothers stopped abruptly and turned in your direction. The taller one, who seemed to be the sweeter out of the two, looked at you with sad eyes. Great. You had been given that luck your entire life and just when you had gotten rid of it, someone else in your life had to die to return it to everyone's face. This isn't what you wanted. “Look, it's complicated. We'll be back to talk to you soon. Why don't you take a shower and change your clothes?”
That would have been a great idea, but you get what you pay for unfortunately.
“I would, but this place doesn't have a shower... just the basics. This disgusting bed, with sheets that look like they haven't been changed since 1942 and a toilet and sink in the bathroom.” It wasn't like you would be staying long anyway. Once your apartment was no longer an active crime scene, you would move back in.
In the mean time you would shower at the gym or something. You would figure it out.
“Jeez kid. Don't you have any family to stay with?” It shocked you when the one Sam referred to as Dean looked at you with concern.
You shrugged your shoulders and began to talk. Telling the same story you had recited a hundred times over. “No. My parents died in a car crash when I was a baby and I haven't seen my sister in years. God knows where she is know.”
The boys looked at one another and you observed them, almost instantly noticing when their eyes grew larger. It felt like they knew something you didn't. They were keeping something from you and you were determined to find out what. However before you could so much as utter a word, the kind one started to speak again.
“You can stay with us until you can get back to your own apartment.” Sensing your apprehension, he continued his talk, trying to sell you on his idea. “Come on, we have spare bedrooms and a shower that you can use. It's better then this dump and we're only trying to help.”
On paper this was by bar, the worst idea in the entire world. Leaving with two strangers after your best friend had been murdered. For all you knew, they could be the two responsible for her death. They were certainly mysterious enough for that. After weighing in your options, you nodded your head and agreed. It wasn't like you had anything to lose. If they were to kill you, maybe that would be more of a blessing then a curse.
“Great.” He smiled, although it was somewhat reluctant. “You change out of that..” He signalled to your blood stained outfit and you couldn't blame him for wanting you out of it. You probably looked like a deranged killer yourself. “and we'll wait for you outside.”
Just like he promised, the boys left the room as you pulled some clean clothes from the duffel bag you were able to fill before you left your apartment.
“Seriously dude.” Dean hit his younger brother's shoulder and looked over at him with narrow eyes.
“I know you're thinking what I'm thinking to Dean.”
The Winchester's looked at one another, having a silent conversation with their eyes. It couldn't be true. It just couldn't. Surly they would have already known who you were if it were. Shaking his head, Dean sighed and ran his hand over his tired face. He didn't want to believe it.
“Y/N Middleton? Her parents were killed in a car crash when she was a baby and she hadn't seen her sister in years. The red hair... come on Dean” It all added up. Seeing his brothers apprehension, Sam asked a question he knew Dean would answer. “What was Charlie's real name again?”
“Celeste Middleton.” He gruffly replied, narrowing his eyes at his brother. “Damn it, fine! I just hope she hurries up. You stay here and I'll phone Jack and Cas... warn them about this whole situation and see if Castiel can figure out who this demon is.”
The drive to the brothers home was longer than you would have likee, but Dean's constant need to play his classic rock made the situation bearable. You hadn't wanted to talk to either of them though so if they ever turned back to check on you or attempted to ask you questions, you pretended to be asleep to avoid it. Though it was the furthest thing from your mind, your body was tired and you weren't sure how long you could stay awake now.
It had been at least two and a half hours until Dean pulled up to the side walk. Looking out the window towards the creepy looking building caued your eyebrows to furrow in confusion at the strange sight. It looked as though no one had lived here for years.
Perhaps you were going to get murdered after all.
“This is where you live?” You questioned, stepping out of the car as the same time as the brothers. The spoke up in confirmation and you went back to being quiet, reflecting over the last twelve hours of your life.
You were still so confused, so heart broken and angry but you never let anyone see how you truly felt. There was no point. Emotions were personal and you didn't trust yourself to be vulnerable around anyone else. Being close to someone just opened opportunities to break you once more and you weren't sure how much more you could be broken down until you gave up. Instead, you kept a smile on your face, a cold exterior and hoped that everyone would leave you alone.
Dragging your body from leaning against the car, you reluctantly followed the men to the door and though you were shocked by the size of their home, you hadn't allowed it to show on your face while trailing a few feet behind them.
While you remained quiet, you heard voices down the halls and then Sam and Dean joined in the conversation as you entered what looked like a kitchen. Instead of getting involved and speaking to the two strange men you had yet to be introduced you, you leant against the wall and watched from a distance.
The youngest out of the bunch seemed to stare at you and you couldn't help but feel paranoid as to why but like always, you didn't let it get the best of you and kept silent. He was probably weirded out by the blood covering your skin which had you thinking, you really wanted to wash it off.
You were so caught up in your own thoughts, you hadn't realised the person that was staring at you before had stepped closer in your direction. “Hi, I'm Jack and that's Castiel.”
It wasn't hard to see that he was harmless, a small smile played on his features and even if you knew deep down he was just trying to be nice, you wouldn't allow him to get close. You couldn't handle it again.
So you did what you had to do and ignored the boy, trying hard to ignore the way your stomach flipped at you doing such a thing. “Sam, can I have a shower now?”
Since he was the one you trusted the most, you knew it was better to ask him. He had a kind aura and caring eyes. He made you feel safe and although Dean didn't really scare you, you felt as though you were more a bother to him then you wanted to be so Sam was the way to go.
Ignoring Jack's wondering eyes, you followed the younger Winchester down the hallway until you came across the bathroom.
“Towels are in cupboard below the sink, you can use my shampoo and stuff.” Giving him a grateful smile your gaze wondered with his movement as he walked towards the door. “Oh and before I forget, your room is directly opposite, you won't have to go far.”
“Thank you.” He silently left and you locked the door behind him, letting your bag fall from your shoulder to the floor. Your entire body still in a state of shock, you had yet to cry but maybe you never would. Maybe you had cut yourself off from your emotions so much that your body just couldn't produce tears any more.
You wished that was the case but you could feel them fighting their way to the surface. You were stronger though and wouldn't let them win.
After stripping of your items of clothing, you had the longest shower in history, scrubbing away at your skin until it turned red to ensure that you had every inch of blood removed from you. Even then you still didn't feel clean. You could still feel the blood tainting you. Just like Sam had suggested, you helped yourself to his shampoo, and though it wasn't the usual floral scent that you were use to, it still smelt incredible. The shower gel wasn't sweet smelling either but it was comforting to say the least. You weren't about to complain.
Once you had finished, you stepped out, dried yourself off and wrapped a fluffy towel around your naked form before grabbing your bag, opening up the bathroom door and heading straight towards the room Sam had told you would be yours for the next few days.
Being sad was one thing, showing it was another. You wouldn't allow yourself to be vulnerable. So to deceive the boys you dressed like always. Some skinny fit black jeans, matched with a crop top swearer and a leather jacket carelessly thrown over the top. You didn't take long on your make up but you still made yourself look presentable and quickly curled your signature red locks with the curling wand you had managed to take from your apartment while packing your clothes and make up. One look the mirror and you decided that you looked fine, hopefully now no one would ask you how you were. If you looked fine, they would think you were fine.
The hardest thing to do was pull yourself together when you felt like falling apart but you didn't need sympathetic smiles and sad eyes looking in your direction every ten seconds. Over the years you had become an expert and even though you had allowed yourself to function normally for the past year, you hadn't forgotten how to do it.
Brushing the curls behind your ear, you walked from your room down the hallway and followed the sound of familiar voice to what looked like a library. “Hey.”
The men turned in your direction and you could see their shock at how well you had managed to pull yourself together. Hell, if they had walked past you in the street they never would have known you had faced a tragedy not even a day ago.
“Are you alright?” The one you knew to be Castiel asked causing you to inwardly roll your eyes.
You probably seemed like the biggest bitch in the entire world but it's what you need to do to keep people away. These weren't just people though, they wanted to help you. Well, Sam and Dean did and you supposed that this trench coat wearing man only wanted to do the same. Guilt would eat you alive if you just ignored him, he seemed genuinely curious as to how you were. So after giving him a reassuring smile you spoke up. “Yeah, I'm fine, thank you.”
Dean and Castiel went back to reading a giant book on the table, Sam looking at his laptop while Jack sat in the corner of the room looking up at you. They all had things they seemed to be doing and you knew that involved finding the person that killed Nina. How they were going to do that you had no idea, they were regular humans with no power over peoples actions, and even if you knew your intelligence could be used to their advantage, your mind was completely jumbled at the moment so you decided to leave them to it.
“Do you have a TV I could watch?” A distraction more like it.
Sam looked up from the screen and nodded his head, pointing in the direction of another room. This place was huge. If you were alone, you were sure you'd get lost in it.
After shuffling into the room, you flung yourself down on the couch and instead of watching the TV like you had planned, you looked around. Only you weren't alone for long. Pretty soon the youngest of the men had entered the room and taken a seat beside you.
There was something about Jack. You couldn't exactly put your finger on it but just by looking at the goofy smile on his face you could tell how innocent he seemed, how pure he looked. Maybe he didn't get out much. You envied that.
Once he realised neither of you had spoken, he looked into your eyes and spoke with such sincerity you could have broke. “I'm really sorry about your friend.”
Instead of allowing your emotions to get the best of you, you decided to pretend not to care. Leaning your elbow on your knees, you leant your head against the palm of your hand and looked over at him. Though you tried your hardest, your eyes showed your pain but you hoped he wouldn't notice. “Why? It's not your fault.”
“I know.” Good. Maybe now he would leave you alone. Only he didn't, he continued to speak to you, like you had known him for years. “You seem sad, almost like there was a spark surrounding you before but it's fizzled out. You're not happy I don't like when people aren't happy so I'm sorry.”
Your eyes softened. “Thanks.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” He offered but that was the last thing you wanted to do.
“No.”
“That's okay.” God, why did he have to be so understanding? “You wanted to watch the TV, right?” You nodded your head. Quite frankly a distraction would be much appreciated. Even if it didn't become a distraction, background noise was better than silence. “I usually watch Scooby Doo but you can put on whatever you want.”
A soft laugh came from you. Jack looked close to your age and you were shocked he watched it so regularly. Not that you could blame him, it was an awesome show. You watched it as a child constantly. “Scooby Doo? I haven't watched that in so long.”
“It's my favourite.” He exclaimed, his eyes bright and happy as he spoke. “Should I put it on?”
For some reason, you couldn't say no. He seemed so excited about the cartoon, there was a light in his eyes that you wished you had and never wanted him to lose so you found yourself nodding in his direction and gave a sad smile as his grin widened. “You have a nice smile.” You complimented, finding it almost cute as a soft blush came over his cheeks.
Once the show was clicked on, Jack became engrossed in the storyline and laughed occasionally at something stupid Shaggy or Scooby were doing. You however had completely tuned out. Your wondering eyes caught sight of a few photo frames sitting across the room with the faces of the boys you had recently met. Some smiling, others not but all showed love.
This was family, this was friendship. Something you no longer had, something you craved but something you knew could destroy you in a minute. Without realising you had allowed it to happen, tears began to back their away down your cheeks.
You didn't know when it happened or why but pretty quickly Jack had wrapped you up in his arms, your head resting against your chest as silent sobs came from your body. His hand soothingly rubbed up and down your back in attempt to calm you down. He was so sweet and somehow it just felt right. You didn't wanted to be anywhere else. “Don't be sad, you have us now.” He was trying to calm you but it was doing the opposite.
You couldn't get close to another person. You couldn't! You wouldn't! Even if you desperately craved to have someone you wouldn't have to worry about losing you knew it wasn't possible. You were better off staying away from people. And sadly that included Jack.
“No, don't... I'm sorry.” You pulled back from his comforting embrace and looked up at his concerned eyes. They looked so worried but you could also see the sadness that you had caused by pulling away. You were an awful person. “I'm going to bed.”
Quickly standing on your feet, you hurried across the room only to come to a complete stop when your eyes caught sight of a picture frame of Dean and a familiar red head. Without hesitation, you picked it up and stared for a few seconds. “Celeste?”

7x23: Survival of the Fittest
The Road So Far:
I just want to give a GIANT shoutout to everyone in fandom that survived this and stuck around. I know in my heart my interest would plummet without Cas. Season 7 was brutal.
Now:
We find Crowley and Dick Roman sharing a business Scotch and negotiating how they’re going to divvy up Earth once the Leviathan master the human race. Demons get Canada. Leviathan need America though. (“They’re so fat.”)
In return for this generous offer? Crowley must give “Frick and Frack” imposter blood (as part of the cocktail that will kill Dick Roman.) They agree, and because Dick Roman doesn’t “kiss on the mouth” to seal his deals, Crowley unfurls a standard writer that stretches 10 feet. Lol.
Sam and Dean, meanwhile, are on the road trying to locate a righteous bone. Sam suggests contacting Cas again. For the record, I believe when Dean says “Dude, on my car” he’s making an oath that Cas made an appearance naked and covered in bees, not that he showed up naked, covered in bees, on Dean’s car. Either way, Dean was there and Cas was naked. But there were bees.
The boys arrive at a nunnery crypt and find the perfect bone, Sister Mary Constant. “Let’s bone this nun.” Oh Dean, always a way with words.
Crowley and Roman finish their negotiations.
Sam and Dean perform a summoning spell for Crowley. (Ah, was it during Dean and Crowley’s summer of love that they finally got him on speed dial?) Crowley doesn’t show, but Meg does. And she has a friend along with her: Cas.
He’s currently jamming out to some serious emo soft rock in the car.
(Sidenote: Cas and Jack wave the same way. My heart.)
Dean is showing very, very, very little patience for his dear, damaged friend, but I know he cares so I’ll let his posturing and toxic attitude slide for right now. Cas does have serious questions about monkeys and cosmetics. Indulge the angel, Dean.
Once inside, Cas continues to act and say strange things. In his own broken way, he lets the brothers know that the angel garrison protecting Kevin is gone. Dean, in his usual football coach aggression, scares Cas, who does not want to deal with conflict. (I do love Dean’s line “We’re worried.” His worry manifests itself through anger throughout the series.)
Meg notices the demon summoning spell materials and is about to ditch when Crowley finally makes his appearance.
Crowley is less than pleased to see the angel. Cas dives into a nice, rambling diatribe about insects and honey (and a THOUSAND Cas + bees fics were born.) There is meta out there about this but I just can’t find it right now. Sigh, it was really good. Crowley doesn’t want to torture Cas if he’s not all there, so he hands the boys his blood, or is it? He says it is, but also says not to trust anyone.
He then tells Meg that she can stay with Cas until they handle Dick Roman.
Meanwhile, Bobby in the body of a hotel maid, is well on his way to becoming a vengeful spirit.
Dick Roman makes plans in case Crowley double crosses him. It involves an arm.
We briefly check in with Kevin Tran at SucroCorp Headquarters. His allies aren’t the sharpest blades in the drawer.
The brothers soak the righteous bone in the blood.
Nothing happens so Sam and Dean have no idea if it worked. Cas flaps in (I miss his wings) to present the (I proofread that as “his”. Brb, weeping) brothers with sandwiches. (His monitoring of the ingredients and comforting the pig before slaughtering it? Don’t touch me.)
And when Dick Roman asked for the arm, he meant a literal frozen arm, wristwatch still intact.
While Kevin awaits his fate, he’s presented with dinner, a Biggerson’s burger. “I’m a vegan.” Not for long, buddy. You’re going to be living off of hot dogs soon enough.
Kevin escapes with the help of his purloined hairpins and overhears a board meeting fronted by Dick Roman. He's discussing business strategy, including how they're going to divide America up to perfect their plan of industrialized leviathan feeding. This is all delivered in a cheerfully upbeat business-speak manner as they enjoy sushi made from fresh orphan.
When Kevin's heard enough, he heads straight for the exit, but is confronted by Dick's assistant.
Dean and Sam sit in a car and tap into Sucrocorp's security cameras. (They thank Charlie for it and I smile just to hear her name mentioned.) To their dismay, they discover that Sucrocorp is now overrun with Dick Romans, or a bunch of dicks, as the show might phrase it.
In the boardroom, Dick has Polly take off her dress and draws attention to her slight build. (Gross) He injects her with a drug that will be targeted to all skinny Americans. As it takes effect in Polly, she begins to spasm and foam at the mouth. She collapses quickly to the floor.
Sam notices a truck pull up outside of Sucrocorp and recognizes the maid as she gets out of the truck. He sees ectoplasm dripping from her, puts two and two together, and bails on the stakeout so he can go retrieve Bobby. He confronts Bobby in a back alley as the security camera whirls around. Bobby brandishes the knife at Sam, telling him to leave. When Sam refuses, Bobby slams Sam against the side of the car and chokes him. It's only when Bobby sees his reflection in the side of the car that he withdraws, horrified.
Back at the cabin, we learn that the woman Bobby possessed is doing much better. Sam then switches over to talking about the leviathan hunt and reveals the multiple Dicks. Cas looks perturbed by the news. “Hey, Shifty, what's your problem?” Dean asks. DEAN
“Do we need a cat? Doesn't this place feel one species short?” Cas says, deflecting. (Me: But seriously, YES) He refuses to get involved since he destroyed everything.
“Nobody cares that you're broken, Cas. Clean up your mess,” Dean shouts. This causes Cas to flap off and Meg informs Dean that Cas is the only one who can recognize the real fake Dick. They need him.
Later, Sam and Dean spin their wheels trying to figure out how to tackle their Dick problem when Bobby appears. He tells them he's going vengeful now that he's in the Veil, and begs them to burn the flask. Cut to a little while later, standing around a bed of hot coals. It's all feelings and no hugs in this little funeral scene and Dean chucks Bobby's flask into the coals. As the flask burns, a light illuminates Sam's and Dean's face. And then...Bobby is gone.
Jump to later, where Cas is busily playing games when Dean approaches him for help. He's not asking for a soldier. Instead, he just needs a lift to get to his car. They flap into a little storage garage with a covered car. Cas muses on their approaching assault on Sucrocorp. If Sam and Dean die, they're heroes. But if Cas dies he's just doing what he can to fix his own stupidity. Although, he also entertains the possibility that he'll die and get brought back again. “It's a punishment,” he tells Dean about his last three resurrections. OUCH, man.
Dean delivers his own brand of pep talk in reply. “I'd rather have you, cursed or not. Nut up, alright? We're all cursed. I seem like good luck to you?” He's angry and defensive, but Cas starts to smile anyway. He detects a note of forgiveness in Dean. Cas vows to go with Dean and help out.
It's gray, it's rainy, but that doesn't stop Baby from squealing tires and generally being amazing. The Impala tears into Sucrocorp headquarters to the strains of Born to Be Wild.
Meg emerges, armed with borax and a knife. Dean, Castiel, and Sam are already inside, having slipped in while Meg distracted security outside. They hastily go from room to room checking for Dick Romans.
Outside, demons accost Meg. Crowley is moving in.
Sam rescues Kevin, who convinces him to stick around and blow up Sucrocorp's lab. In the lab, Dick is delicately sampling lethal creamer when Dean and Cas show up and slice up the chief lab tech leviathan.
Dean pulls out the bone weapon, Dick lunges for Dean, and Cas tosses Dean out of the way and hurls himself at Dick. Dick easily chucks Cas across the room. This gives Dean the perfect opportunity to stab Dick right in the chest, but it seems to have no effect. Dick's still walking and talking and being smarmy. But then Dean opens his jacket and pulls another sharpened bone from a front, inner pocket vast enough to hold and conceal a giant bone (who MAKES these coats and where can I find one?) Cas pulls Dick's head back, baring his throat long enough to allow Dean to stab Dick right through the neck.
Dick Roman snarls angrily and begins to pulse with energy. He cackles before exploding into black goo.
Sam picks up his head to look around the lab moments after the explosion. It's empty of anyone but him and Kevin. While it's spattered with black goo, Dean and Cas are gone.
Enter Crowley, who happily tells Sam that without Dick Roman leading them, the leviathans are easy picking for his demon army. The bone weapon had a kick and dragged Dean and Cas off to Purgatory. Crowley nabs Kevin for his own, then leaves Sam alone in the lab as he silently freaks out.
Dean wakes up in a forest to Cas tersely ordering him to wake up. Cas tells Dean that they're in Purgatory and it's full of monsters and...even worse...leviathans. Dean turns to see red eyes glowing in the woods and tells Cas it's time to go...but Cas has already flapped away, leaving Dean alone.

I Want to Break Free Chapter 2
Trigger warning for brief mention of sexual assault and drugging.
Chapter 1; Character Page ; About the World
The aches and pain were what he noticed first upon regaining consciousness. Before he even opened his eyes, Dean knew he must look rough. A movement to his left made him aware he was not alone. Tensing up automatically, Dean waited. “Mr. Novak,” a carefully polite voice was saying, “you don’t need to wait here, you are not family.”
A lighter voice answered, all snark, “Dr. Milton, this man was just assaulted and his family isn’t here yet so I’m staying right here, thank you very much. And have Meg bring in some more lollipops, would you?”
Grinding teeth, probably from the doctor, accompanied the retreat of steps and the gentle click as the door swung shut. Dean’s eyes flew open and he squinted against the too-bright lights of the hospital room. His nose hurt like a bitch and the itching under his skin and slick-feeling in his charming hospital gown told him he was still in heat. There was one of those stupid finger things that tracked your pulse on him, but he was otherwise unviolated by hospital equipment. An Alpha sat close to him, though very clearly giving him space, and stared at him with eyes like sun shining through a tumbler of sweet tea. Dean was surprised again by his short stature, which didn’t seem to match the strange... bigness of the man. Like he managed to fill out any room he was in. At the moment, Dean couldn’t find it very impressive.
“You’re awake!” the Alpha half-shouted, acting like he wanted to hug him, which made Dean flinch. The man stilled and raised his palms in a placating manner, just as he’d done in the alley, “sorry, sorry. My name is Gabriel, if you remember.”
Dean nodded, ignoring the throbbing pain in his face as he opened his mouth to speak, “Dean.” His voice was mangled and nasally, not at all the smooth voice he usually was so proud of. His broken nose meant he could really only smell blood, but he thought he could get a whiff of cherry as he regarded Gabriel.
“I know,” Gabriel answered, nodding absent-mindedly and not mentioned the stuffy sound of the Omegas voice, “they already identified you, apparently one of the nurses - Garth was his name - knows you. He called your brother a few minutes ago.”
Sam. Oh god, what was Sam going to think? His Alpha brother was his best friend, but he was still an Alpha, and still prone to anger. Would he blame Dean for this? Dean couldn’t think of a reason why he wouldn’t. He should. A tear rolled down his cheek as he looked down at his hands.
It didn’t take long for Sam to arrive, he must have floored it over here. Dean’s incredibly tall brother burst into the room like the man who assaulted Dean was still there, all Alpha rage and clenched fists. The way he exploded through the door would have been comical in another situation. Angry eyes immediately found Gabriel and a feral snarl ripped through his teeth. Gabriel stood and backed up, all submissive and carely, “whoa there, I’m not him!”
His words didn’t do anything and the tree of a man before him advanced, teeth bared. Gabriel tilted his head and showed his neck, stopping Sam in his tracks. Alphas didn’t just bare their necks to Alphas or anyone for that matter. It surprised Sam enough to let Dean break through the Alpha rage.
“Sammy,” Dean spoke, wrecked voice making his brother flinch, “it really wasn’t him. He, uh, he saved me.” Instantly deflated Sam Winchester backed down, the angry turpentine scent draining out of his ink and leather scent. Though Dean couldn’t quite smell it, the relief in Gabriel’s face confirmed as much. Dean watched Gabriel frown and sniff in Sam’s direction but ignored it, instead baring his neck to his brother and mumbling, “I’m sorry, Sam.”
“No Dean,” Sam said, the wobbling in his words betraying him a moment before the tears did, “I’m sorry. I should have been there!”
Dean only shook his head, tears falling again. Sam seemed to pick up on the fact that he wasn’t helped and instead sat in the chair Gabriel had abandoned, wiping the tears and taking a large breath. Without looking at the other Alpha Sam addressed him, “thanks man. For, uh, for protecting him. And then... getting him here.”
There was a question in his words and Gabriel shrugged, “it’s Gabriel Novak. My brother is an Omega and I... it’s easy to ignore the heat scent if you think of your kid brother, you know?”
Sam nodded, surprised to hear another male Omega mentioned. Omegas were the least common secondary gender and out of every 5000 of them born only about five were male Omegas. He was suddenly incredibly grateful for this short Alpha, without him Dean would be a broken mess in an alley. Or worse. Sam shuddered involuntarily and glanced at the door, “the doctor better hurry up. I want to get you back to my house so you can actually sleep.”
Fat chance, Dean thought. It would be a miracle if he ever managed to sleep again. The news of another male Omega didn’t even interest him. Nor did the doctor. He just wanted to leave. Bobby and Charlie hadn’t shown up yet, so obviously Sam was keeping them at bay. Tomorrow he’d have to see them. To explain. Their reactions somehow freaked him out more than Sam’s, Charlie was emotional and Bobby would no doubt feel guilty.
The doctor entering pulled him from his thoughts. He was young and good looking, with dark hair and green eyes. If Dean hadn’t been so distracted he may have thought he was attractive. Through the blood scent in his nose, he picked up saline and cotton, overly clean scents that made the doctor less attractive at once. With him was Sheriff Jody Mills, looking all business and obviously trying to seem unassuming. Dean groaned and it made his brother and Gabriel growl, both moving in front of him defensively. Dr. Milton and Sheriff Mills each stopped warily. When both of his Alphas relaxed, apparently not deeming either person a threat, the doctor stepped forward and cleared his throat, “Mr. Winchester,” Dr. Milton began, consulting the chart in his hands, “all your tests came back okay, except for the Fervothyl and Rohypnol in your system. Your medically triggered heat isn’t nearly as intense as your normal one, if you’ve noticed your lack of sexual drive.”
Dean nodded, unsurprised by the drugs found in his blood. Fervothyl was the heat drug popular among Omega traffickers because it triggered an unnatural heat and made the Omegas weaker, more likely to just bend over for them. He’d never before been drugged with it and the heat it triggered felt medical and wrong.
Dr. Milton watched his reaction carefully before continuing, “Sheriff Mills is here to get your statement and then, if you’d like, you can be discharged.”
The Omega nodded and Dr. Milton took his leave, prompting Sheriff Mills forward. “Dean,” she began, “we just need to know what you can remember.”
The Beta’s voice was all sympathy as she spoke and the maternal note in it almost made Dean cry again. He knew her distantly, but the respect and warmth he felt for her made it seem like she was family. That thought made his stomach turn, he didn’t want to talk about this with someone he was that close to, “can we, uh, do this alone?” He asked, cutting a glance at Sam nervously.
Gabriel stood immediately, followed by a much more hesitant Sam. As they made to exit Sheriff Mills addressed them, “don’t leave the hospital yet Mr. Novak, we’ll need your statement too.” Gabriel nodded and left the room, sitting down on a bench across from the door with Sam beside him. The sheriff looked at Dean again and sat in the chair beside his bed, which seemed to be where people felt least threatening to him.
“Okay, Sheriff Mills,” he began quietly, nodding when she softly reminded him to call her by her first name. “Jody. I left Singer & Sons at a little after 7, when we closed. I was walking to the Roadhouse and cut through the alley between the bookstore and Cajun Cafe, I didn’t even notice the man until he grabbed me.”
Jody was busy scribbling notes in her little notepad but interrupted softly, “can you tell me about him?”
“He was taller than me, like 6’4” of 5”,” Dean began shakily, “with a scent like really sour dirt and blood, or maybe it was rust. He was dark haired with dark eyes, and an Alpha, that’s all I know. He held me down and threatened me, but Gabriel attacked him before he could... um, penetrate me.”
With a frown and nod she closed her notepad, “Alastair,” she sighed. “He’s an Omega trafficker, you were fortunate Mr. Novak was there. We’ve been chasing him for years, but it’s been almost 3 years since he was last reported to be here.”
Dean shuddered, “are you going to be able to catch him?”
Jody stood and handed the Omega a card before heading to the door, “honestly? I don’t know. But we’ll be doing everything we can, I promise you that. Get better soon, Dean, and call me if you ever need me.”
She left with that super not helpful statement and before the door swung closed a nurse squeezed through. His sense of smell was getting slightly stronger and he grimaced at the cough syrup and mint smell that accompanied a small Beta nurse.
“I’m Meg,” she held the chart from Dr. Milton but didn’t bother looking at it, “I’m here for your discharge, Mr. Winchester.” Meg didn’t seem to eager for small talk as she handed him a clear vacuumed sealed bag with what looked like beige scrubs in it, along with a small bag containing his wallet and keys. “The police kept your clothes, so we have these for you.”
Dean took the bags and pulled the blankets off of him, ignoring the bruises blooming over his skin and the ache that seemed bone-deep in his body. “Thanks, Meg,” he managed, hoping she’d get the hint and leave.
“After you’re dressed, you’re good to go,” she responded dully, “your bother handled the paperwork. Feel better, Mr. Winchester.” And then she was gone.
The ugly scrubs were at least soft and thick, hopefully they’d be able to contain all the slick coming out of him until he could get home. Already his temperature was returning to normal, it seemed as though he hadn’t been given enough drugs to trigger a full-blown heat. Without another look at the hospital bed, he opened the door and met a pacing Sam.
His brother held out his jacket for him, “I begged Jody for it back, and since you’d only been carrying it she obliged.”
“Thanks, Sammy,” Dean sighed, tucking it under his arm. “Let’s go.”
They walked out side by side, Sam glaring at every person who passed and Dean keeping his head down. He was so tired and he hadn’t even let himself really fall apart yet.
They both missed Gabriel, who still sat on the bench outside Dean’s room, head in his hands and tears rolling down his cheeks.

We Got This, Part 2
This was written for the BTZ challenge. We had to write it in pairs and I tell you what, this was fun! I learned a lot! Thanks to the wonderful @wonderange for working with me and putting up with me. And thanks to the ever amazing @atc74 for putting on this challenge. It definitely stretched me and broke my comfort zone. If you missed it here is Part 1 written by @wonderange
AU Cannon with Charlie and Jo
Warning: Some fighting.
I had been holed up in my hotel room for almost two days. I had finally found the little wretch that had been taking the men. After four days of going into the diner I realized that one of the waitresses kept leaving with men at the end of her shift, but the other girl seemed to know what was going on. One of them has to be the monster, it had to be! Now the question was what the hell was she?
I was rolling my bottle of beer back and forth across the table as I scrolled through the research I had. Nothing was giving me an idea for what she could be, well nothing distinct. She could be one of many many things.
“Come on, somethings gotta give!” I growled setting my beer up right on the table. I opened another search browser to try another angle when my phone rang.
“Heya Charlie!” I drawled into the phone leaning back in my chair.
“Hey, Jo. I have been looking, and with what you gave me, this monster could be one of hundreds. Is there anything that is distinct that you can give me?”
“Yeah, its female. I am almost positive of that. There are two waitresses at the diner down the street from the hotel that work the night shift. The one leave almost every night with a different guy. I am thinking it’s going to have to be something that is sucking blood, taking souls or something like that. I can’t decide if it is both or not though. ONly one of the waitresses leaves with anyone. The other stays and closes the diner down.” I had looked through the lore. I was down to only a hand full of things at this point, but I didn’t want to go in guns blazing for one thing and have it be something else.
“Okay, so have you looked into like a Djinn or vampire?” I could hear Charlie tapping away on her keyboard on the other side of the phone now.
“Whatever it is doesn’t seem to fit the MO of the Djinn. There was a body found in the woods a few miles from town today, it had bite marks around its neck and shoulders.” I told her pinching the bridge of my nose.
“What makes it not a vampire then?” I heard her pause.
“Nothing I guess,” I grabbed my beer and took a swig. Something didn’t seem to fit, a vampire seemed to easy and to simple.
“Jo, it doesn’t have to be this big super rare monster you know. it could be the simple answer.” Charlie had stopped typing. She knew me well enough to know I wanted it to be a big bad.
“You’re right.” I said slowly.
“From the sounds of things you’re near the mountains right?” She asked typing again.
“Yep, I’ll start looking for a lair and keep in touch.” I hung up and tossed my phone on the table. We were in a small town backing the mountains. There could be barns and all sorts of things for vampires to hide in.
20 minutes later I was sitting in the back booth at the diner, time to see who the girl left with tonight.
I didn’t have to wait long before the pretty blonde had someone “convince” her to leave with him at the end of the shift in 15 minutes.
The blonde clocked out and smiled invitingly at the burly trucker as she led him out the back door. I dropped my cash on the table and went out the front making my way down the side of the building towards the cars parked in the dark at the forest line.
The giggly Blonde and her friend were nowhere to be seen. I made sure I hadn’t missed anyone leaving the parking lot, and there were only 3 vehicles parked in the lot. I stood at the corner of the building taking in the surroundings, something was off. After 10 minutes of standing there I decided to follow them into the woods. There was no way the redhead was working with her. She would have been out here by now. Especially if they had a new tasty morsel.
I followed the sounds of the woman and her friend as they walked through the forest. He was talking loudly trying to figure out where she was taking him and asking questions. She kept shushing him as she led him further into the woods.
After a few hundred yards I figured we had to be coming up on a structure as she slowed down turning towards the guy.
“Is this where we are going?” He asked looking around the forest.
“It is,” she smiled at him seductively.
This was it. I bolted from behind my tree swinging the machete I had lugged with me. Before I could reach her she turned on me shifting in front of my eyes. Her skin turned blue and scaley, her eyes slitting.
“Shit!” I yelped as she knocked me to the side. I landed in a heap in the dirt.
“You get him, I’ll get her. She followed you out here you know?” A female voice sounded from behind me.
I moved quickly to my feet to find the redhead closing in trying to flank me. Great, not Vampires and I forgot my silver blade. I shook my head at myself. I hadn’t told Charlie or anyone else where I had planned to go, or what I planned to do for that matter. Now I was stuck in the woods fighting two Vetala.
“I thought you would have caught her before she tried to take my head off though. Clearly she didn’t do her homework.” The blonde bared her razor sharp teeth at me. She had the guy from the diner in her grasp, a nasty wound at his throat already.
“Hey bitch, when all else fails cut the head off.” I sassed her twirling my machete.
“Now now, no need for name calling.” The redhead tsked me.
“On the contrary, there is a time and place for it. This happens to be it.” I growled lunging at her. I sliced for all I was worth almost coming into contact with her neck. She easily out maneuvered me, using my momentum to run me into a nearby tree. Black exploded in my field of vision and blood filled my mouth as I came into contact with the trunk. Before I could gather my wits I was pinned to the tree.
“You should have just let us be Hunter, stayed away and let us live.” She growled in my ear as she shifted to match the other girl.
“What fun would that have been?” I spat.
“Well, for you it would have been more fun, plus you would have gotten to live. For us, we now have another take out meal.” She leaned down baring her teeth as she moved towards my neck.
Before I knew what was happening I heard a battle cry come from the woods. Something slammed into the redhead with enough force to knock her away.
“Jo!” I heard my name and spun in time to catch the blade being thrown in my direction. I caught it, spinning to attack the redhead. I fell on her, tackling her to the ground I used what weight I had to throw her onto her back. I pounced on her, driving the blade into her chest.
“Yep good time for name calling.” I smirked as I twisted the blade in her chest. The light in her eyes went out and I turned my focus to where Charlie was attempting to fight off the blond.
“Hey!” I yelled running full tilt at her. She turned in time for me to launch myself a her, taking her to the ground. The little tramp managed to get a handful of my hair on the way down, twisting my head back painfully as we landed.
“Charlie!” I growled as the blonde yanked back on my hair again.
“Got it!” She answered jumping in. She was enough of a distraction that I was able to wrangle my hand free, driving the blade into her chest with a nasty twist.
“Ha!” I whooped rolling off of her onto the forest floor.
“Jo.”
I lifted my head to see Charlie standing at my feet, a frazzled mess.
“Yeah?” I smiled at her.
“You really need to quit doing this shit.” She scowled at me.
“What?” I asked sitting up and glancing around.
“Going out alone like this.” She looked at the piles where the women had been. The guy from the diner was laying a few feet away still breathing but unconscious. That poison was nasty stuff.
“Eh I’m fine, I have you.” I grinned at her.
“Yeah, thank god. Come on let's get him back to the parking lot.” Charlie offered me her hand.
“Deal!”
I helped Charlie lug the guy back to the parking lot. We left him leaned against the back door of the diner, where there was still lights on.
“Come on, let's get you cleaned up.” Charlie arched an eyebrow at me as she started around the building. I started after her.
“Thanks for coming Charlie, I couldn’t have done it without you.” I told her putting my arm around her.
“Yeah, that’s no kidding.” She chuckled putting her arm around my waist.
“We didn’t even have to call Dean or Sam!” I laughed.
“Yeah about that…..” Charlie looked sideways at me as we rounded the front of the diner.
I gave her a confused look as I looked up. Parked right up front was the Impala. Dean was leaned against the passenger door, an unimpressed look on his face.
“Shit, damn it Charlie.” I moaned rolling my eyes. We were going to get it now.

“CASSIE,” you screamed at the top of your lungs while you ran through the apparently empty house. “Where are you?” you sighed and stopped running, resting your hands on your hips.
You had been moving from foreclosed house to foreclosed house for about 4 months now, with your blue eyed angel. He had explained to you that using these types of houses means that there would be furniture and it would be better than staying in dirty motel rooms. How could you argue with that. Besides, most of the time the houses you stayed in were nicely furnished and clean.
The home you were currently in was actually a cabin, in the heart of the Michigan wilderness. Despite the woods that completely surrounded the structure it was quaint and quite beautiful. It was about a two hour drive to get to any form of civilization but you couldn’t complain, you liked the privacy that it offered you and Castiel.
You had been practicing your new found abilities ever since Castiel had broken the seal of your grace. It had been fairly simple when it came to the things you could always do, after all it just heightened your powers. Where it became tricky was wrapping your mind around the things not even angels could do. Warping reality definitely was not something you ever wanted to do. Castiel had mentioned that both Cambion and Nephilim could do it, but you saw no point in ever trying to change things like that. You absolutely hated using angel radio due to the high pitched ranges of the angels, Castiel had told you it would get easier but you tried to keep it off as much as possible. The one new power you did enjoy however was being able to read minds of those around you. You always laughed at the thoughts you heard by a woman at the supermarket a few weeks back. She was checking Castiel out and her thoughts were loud with what she would do to him and when you checked with him about it he was blushing. You knew instantly he had heard what you had.
You smiled to yourself and walked over to the sliding glass door in the living room that lead outside. Wrapping your arms around yourself you stood and watched as the wind blew the tree branches in all different directions. You continued to watch as a bird flew down and landed on the patio that was connected to the house. You loved watching innocent creatures live their lives in ignorance. Biting your lip you turned around and walked away from the door.
Sighing loudly you moved over to the small plaid couch, that sat in front of a fireplace, and threw yourself down on it dramatically. “Why can’t I live in ignorance and bliss?” you groaned to yourself.
“Because of your uniqueness,” Castiels gruff voice answered.
Letting out a surprised squeal, you quickly jumped from the couch and turned to face him. “Didn’t hear you come in,” you said softly, being slightly embarrassed for talking to yourself.
“Yes, I do believe it is because you were speaking to yourself,” his lip curled up in a small smiled.
“I only did it once,” you said and crossed your arms.
“Once?” he raised an eyebrow at you, challenging your answer.
“Once since I woke up,” you grumbled and turned away from him. “Where were you anyways?”
He walked over to you slowly and rested his hand on your shoulder. “With Sam.”
You turned back around and faced him with your eyes squinted slightly. “Just Sam?”
“If you are thinking I was with Dean you are wrong,” he looked down at you.
“Then who else was there,” you pursed your lips. “You don’t just go hangout with Sam unless Deans there.”
“I was with Sam, Charlie and Rowena,” he answered curtly.
“What were you doing with Charlie and my grandmother?” you scrunched your face in confusion. “Speaking of which, no one knows what I am right or that you know about Crowley?”
He shook his head. “I promised you I would keep it a secret until you were comfortable enough to tell them yourself,” he paused and raised his hands to cup your cheeks. “I would never betray your trust like that, especially with how much you mean to me.”
You stood on your tiptoes and pecked his lips lightly. “Good,” you uncrossed your arms and wrapped them around his neck. “Now what were you all doing?”
“We believe that the book of the damned has a spell that can remove the mark from Dean,” he answered honestly, moving his hands to rest on your waist.
“Seriously?” you moved away from him quickly. “The book of the damned!” you yelled at him. “I’ve been around a long time Castiel, maybe not as long as you but I know you don’t mess with that thing.”
“Honeybee,” Castiel said softly and took a step towards you. “It’s for Dean.”
You scowled. “Yeah, but at the same time you all are risking everything to use a fucking book that could kill everyone,” you growled. “How did you even get your hands on it?”
Castiel kept his arms at his sides and moved to look out one of the near windows. “Charlie found it,” he paused and looked back at you. “Dean does not know we still have it.”
“Wait,” you held up your hand and pinched the bridge of your knows. “Still have it, did he tell you guys to get rid of it?”
Castiel nodded and looked back out the window. “Sam did not wish to actually destroy it.”
“Castiel, what the hell is going on? I get it, I asked to be kept out of most of this but if this involves you risking your damn lives for a cure that may not even exist then I need to know.”
“The Stynes attacked them while they were at a safe house. Charlie was hurt and Sam pretended to burn the book but still has it in his possession. Rowena is going to use the codex to read and perform the spell,” Castiel continued to study the trees surrounding the cabin.
“The Stynes?” you questioned and received a hum as a response. “Shit, Cas this isn’t good.”
“How do you mean?” he turned to face you with his brow furrowed.
“I’ve heard of them Castiel, they’re ruthless and will do anything to get their hands on that book. You guys need to find another way to get rid of the mark and get rid of the book all together,” you pleaded with him.
“I do not think I understand,” he watched as you walked towards him.
“Castiel, where is the book?” you reached towards him and placed your hands on his biceps.
“I believe Charlie is currently looking after it,” he looked at your hand then to your face which had changed into a look of complete terror.
“Castiel, where is Charlie?” he looked at you confused and stayed quiet. “DAMMIT CAS, WHERE IS SHE?” you yelled at him.
“She is currently at a motel near where we had been trying to translate the book,” he finally answered.
“Shit shit shit,” you quickly moved away from him and began to search the room for your cell phone. “Fucking fuck, where is it?” you yelled as you frantically threw things around the room.
“What are you looking for (Y/N)?” Castiel looked at you with concern filled eyes.
“My phone,” you said before using your wings to teleport yourself to your bedroom. Finally seeing your phone on the desk in the corner of your room you quickly grabbed it and opened up the tracking app you downloaded, to track everyone’s location if you ever needed to help. Before Castiel could stop you you teleported to Charlie’s last known location.
…
You were transported in front of her room’s door. You were about to knock but decided against it due to the fact the door was open a crack. Slowly you opened the door and walked in. The room was a mess, papers were thrown everywhere and things had been knocked off of tables. Placing your hand on your stomach as it churned you walked towards the bathroom of the room.
As you got closer to the bathroom you were hit then the face with the foul smell of death, causing you stomach to churn more. You covered your nose and mouth with your hand before pushing open the already cracked door. What you saw made you want to throw up, scream, and cry all at once.
Laying in the bathtub was your best friend. One of her legs hung off the side of the tub and blood splattered the pink shower tile. You fell to your knees and crawled towards her. Trying your best to hold back your sobs you reached towards her. “Charlie?” you whispered, hoping this was a sick joke. You felt something soak through your faded blue jeans when you got to the side of the tub. Not paying it any attention you leaned forward and placed your hands on her shoulders. “Charlie,” you said in a normal voice, well as normal as you could with the sobs threatening to spill over. “Charlie,” you yelled as you began to shake her, leaning completely on the side of the tub. You felt something cold seep through your dark green cotton shirt but still paid it no mind. “No, no, no,” you couldn’t hold back your sobs any longer and felt the tears slide down your cheeks. “Charlie no,” you quickly embraced her lifeless body, still not caring about the blood. “I should have been here,” you cried.
You stayed like that for about 10 minutes, just holding her lifeless body and letting her blood soak into your clothes. Hearing the sound of footsteps and voices you finally let her go, still letting the tears stream down your cheeks. You stood from her and walked toward the bathroom door. Glancing up you saw your current state in the mirror, covered in blood from head to toe, eyes puffy and red from crying.
“(Y/N),” hearing your name come from a very familiar voice pulled you from looking at yourself.
You stood in the doorway of the bathroom, looking down at your feet. “Why are you here?” another voice asked roughly. “And why are you covered in blood?”
Looking up you were greeted with the view of none other than Sam and Dean Winchester. Sam looked at you curiously, while Dean gave you a cold hard look. “(Y/N), are you alright? Where’s Charlie?” Sam started to walk towards you, looking you over to make sure you weren’t injured.
“This is your fault,” you spoke softly and looked directly at Dean.
“What are you talking about?” Dean scowled at you.
“SHE’S DEAD DEAN,” you yelled and charged at him. “IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT.”
Dean quickly grabbed your hands before you could hit him and you instantly fell to the ground. “Wh-?” Dean was interrupted by the sound of Sam gagging.
“Dean,” Sam said softly, looking horrified into the bathroom.
Dean walked over to his brother and looked into the bathroom, only to see the sight of his dead friend. He swallowed thickly, but couldn’t take his eyes off of her.
“It’s all your fault,” you sobbed from the floor of the motel room.
Dean broke out of his trance and looked back at your heaped over self. “What happened?” he growled at you.
“The Stynes,” you said back coldly.
“Why are you covered in blood?” Sam asked as he turned back around.
“I found her Sam,” you looked up at him as tears ran down your cheeks. “I-I held her,” you stuttered and ran a hand over your eyes.
Sam looked at Dean and watched as his brothers jaw clenched and unclenched before he went back into the bathroom. A few minutes passed before he came back out, holding Charlie’s lifeless. He looked at his brother then down to you before walking out of the room with her.
Sam walked over and kneeled beside you. “We should get you cleaned up.”
You nodded and attempted to stand, only to fall back to your knees. Sam reached out his hand for you to grab. Grabbing his hand, after staring at it for a moment, you pulled yourself up on shaky legs. He quickly embraced you, not caring that you were covered in blood. “Why did you let her help you,” you sobbed into his chest.
He placed one of his hands on the back of your head and kissed the top of it. “I couldn’t stop her,” he whispered softly.
You continued to sob as you wrapped your hands in his jacket. “I should’ve been here.”
He shushed you softly. “You didn’t know and we couldn’t find you.”
You pulled away from him and wiped your cheeks with the palms of your hands. “I need to go.”
His face contoured into a look of confusion. “What do you mean?”
“I have to go,” you said before quickly running from him and out of the room. When you were sure you were far enough away from them that they wouldn’t see you, you flew back to your cabin.
…
When your feet hit the ground again you collapsed onto your knees. Your thoughts were clouded with images of Charlies lifeless body, the image of Sam and Dean finding you covered in blood. You could hear Sam calling out for you, almost like a prayer. You could hear Dean cursing you out for what he was sure your part to play in what happened, only you didn’t do anything. That was the problem, you hid from them, all of them. Sam, Dean, Charlie, Rowena, and even your father. None of them knew where you were, the only thing anyone knew was that you had been hunting on your own, at least that’s what Castiel had told them. If you had been there to protect her, none of this would have happened.
Choking down a sob you tried to anchor yourself. You knew that if you let your emotions get out of control, you may not be able to control your powers. Running your hands through your hair you gripped it tightly and pulled, trying to stop thinking about what just happened.
Castiel’s feet and trench coat became to cloud your vision as he walked towards you. “Honeybee, what happened? Why are you covered in blood?” he crouched down beside you and tried to get you to release your grip in your hair.
You looked up into his eyes, they were filled with concern and regret. “I was too late Cas,” you sobbed and fell into his chest.
“What do you mean?” he ran his hand down your back.
“She’s dead Cas,” you pulled away from him and wiped your face. “I should have stuck by them, I could have protected her.”
He embraced you tightly as you pressed your face into the crook of his neck. “It isn’t your fault, Honeybee,” he shushed you softly.
“Yes it is,” you sobbed and gripped the lapels of his trench coat tightly. “I could have prevented all of this if I just came out of fucking hiding. She was my best friend Cas,” you sobbed again, leaving a large wet spot on his collar from your tears. “I was the one who found her, I held her lifeless body in my hands. I didn’t know what else to do.”
Castiel ran a hand down your back and kissed your temple. “Let’s get you cleaned up,” he whispered softly before moving his hands under your thighs, silently telling you to wrap your legs around him.
You carefully wrapped yourself around him. When he felt that you were situated enough he lifted you off of the ground and began to carry you to the stairs of the cabin. “Wouldn’t it be faster if you just flew to the bathroom?” you mumbled into his neck, barely loud enough for him to hear you.
As he started walking up the stairs his arms got tighter around you trembling form. “I know how much you dislike using your powers when you’re upset, so I am not going to use mine either,” he responded when he was about halfway up the staircase.
You nodded against his neck and held onto his broad shoulders tightly. “Thank you.”
Keeping one of his hands on your thigh to hold you up, he moved his other to cradle the back of your head gently. “You have no reason to thank me, I need to take care of you,” he whispered into your ear and began walking down the hallway towards the bedroom.
Your chest tightened slightly as you began to calm down, causing you to choke back some of your sobs. “You don’t need to Cas, you’ve done so much for me already.”
“Shh,” he hushed you softly and opened the door to the bedroom. “I’m going to set you down, we need to get you out of these clothes.”
“Alright,” you nodded into his neck and released your grip on his shoulders. “I know,” you added as you released your legs from his around his waist and dropped your feet to the floor.
He slowly let go of you and brought both of his large hands to rest on your cheeks. “You’re going to be okay,” he said sternly and pressed his forehead against yours.
“Thanks to you,” you whispered back to him.
Dropping his hands from your face, he backed away from you. “I’ll leave you to get cleaned up.”
Before he could walk out of the room you quickly grabbed his wrist. “Wait,” you paused.
“Is everything alright?” he tilted his head, a look of pure concern etched into his features.
You nodded. “I just, I don’t want to be alone,” you looked down at the ground. You were an all powerful being, but you absolutely hated being by yourself when you were upset.
“Do you wish me to help you clean yourself then?” he raised his other hand and was about to snap his fingers.
“Cas,” you said softly, taking a deep breath. “I would still like to do this the non magical way,” you looked at him sweetly. “I just don’t want to be alone,” you shrugged.
He nodded and looked at you with soft eyes. “Then what do you suppose I should do while you shower?”
You looked at his dishevelled clothes that were now coated in blood as well. “I suppose you can join me, you’re about as bad off as myself.”
“Alright,” he said shortly before swallowing harshly. “I’m afraid I have never used a shower with another person before, my time as a human was very insightful, but in other ways not so much.”
You moved your hand from his wrist and intertwined your hands together. “It’s like a normal shower Castiel, just with another person.”
He gripped your hand gently and gave you a small smile before following you into the adjoining bathroom of the bedroom. When you released his hand to walk over to the shower you missed the nervous look he gave you. “Are you sure you wish for me to join you?”
As you slid the door open you turned your head back to look at him. “I’m sure,” you smiled at him slightly before turning your attention back to the shower. “It’s alright Castiel,” you said as you turned on the water, making sure the temperature was right before turning back around towards the awkward angel. “We’ll wash our clothes or something when we’re done, okay?”
“Okay,” he watched you carefully as you walked back over to him.
“You always take care of me Cas, ever since I met you,” you said as you ran your hands up to his chest, pushing his trench coat and suit jacket over his shoulders and down his arms. “You’ve always made me feel safe. You’ve always made sure I had what I needed, if it wasn’t for the fact you really were an angel, you’d be pretty damn close.”
You watched as his adam’s apple bobbed in his throat. “(Y/N), you don’t have to undress me.”
“Shh,” you shushed him with a kiss to the corner of his lips. “You take care of me all the time, please let me take care of you, at least in this way.”
“(Y/-,” he started but you cut him off.
“Nothing sexual Castiel, just a comfort shower. Let me take care of you while you take care of me. Please, I need to,” you reached up and gripped his tie lightly. “Please.”
“Alright,” he said as he watched you carefully tug on his tie, undoing it enough to pull it over his head. Before you could start unbuttoning his dress shirt he grabbed your hands lightly. “But only if I can help you.”
You nodded and he released your hands. Castiel reached down reluctantly and grabbed the hem of your shirt. He slowly pulled it up and stopped just below your chest. Looking at you for permission you nodded at him, telling him that it was okay before he finished pulling it up and over your head and arms. You weren't wearing anything along the line of sexy lingerie, just a plain black sports bra with a clasp, but he seemed to be in a trance by it. The trance he was under was only broken when you reached behind you and unclasped the bra. You let the straps slide down your arms and dropped it to the floor. His eyes seemed to widen slightly as he took in your half naked form. “Now I think it’s only fair if I took that off,” you said as you pointed to his shirt.
He half nodded at you as he continued to look at you admiringly. Reaching back to him you began unbuttoning his shirt, using your fingertips to ghost over his skin lightly as you went. His skin was flushed slightly and as the last of the buttons were undone, you took the time to admire his body. His vessel wasn’t as toned as Sam or even Dean but he was still built quite well. Running your hands up from his stomach to his shoulders, you slowly pushed his shirt down to join his other clothing.
Standing on your toes you pecked his lips gently before backing away from him again. He watched you with a confused look on his face until you began to remove your jeans. Before you pulled them down your body you quickly kicked off your shoes and socks. As you pulled your jeans down over your ass and down your thighs you didn’t see the look of pure lust on his face. You knew even if he wanted to he wouldn’t, you’ve never been naked in front of each other like this. He respected your wishes of taking things slow and never tried to initiate anything like he had the first time. Sure you’ve seen the angel without a shirt on a few times when he’s been hurt and needed to be healed after a fight and he’s seen you partially naked when you’ve walked around the houses you stayed in, not knowing he was there. Of course there were the few times he popped in accidentally on you having sex with Dean, but he never got an up close and personal experience with most of your body.
He watched as you turned around to face the shower, much like your sports bra your panties weren't very sexy. Just a pair of simple dark grey boy shorts that you loved because they were comfortable, but he seemed to enjoy them anyways. As you reached back into the shower to assure the water was still the right temperature you heard the sound of a belt clinking and a zipper.
Smiling to yourself slightly, you slid your panties off. Without turning around you stepped into the shower and stood under the shower head, letting the warm water cascade your aching body. You faced away from the shower door with your eyes closed so you barely realized it when Castiel finally stepped into the shower with you.
His arms snaked around your waist and he pressed his body against your back, hugging you tightly. You couldn’t help but to lean back into him when he gently kissed the crook of your neck. “I really do care for you, (Y/N),” he said in an even deeper voice than normal.
You turned around to face him, looking down slightly to watch the red tinted water go down the drain before looking back up at him. “I know,” you paused and reached your hand up to cup his scruff covered jaw. “I care about you too, Castiel,” he closed his eyes and leaned his face into your hand.
He kissed your palm softly before pulling his face away. You furrowed your brow as he turned away from you. Your eyes travelled down his strong naked back to his firm ass and you made sure to take a mental picture for later.
He turned back around to face you holding a bottle of shampoo. Your face instantly softened as he opened it to pour some of it in his hands. “May I?” he asked with slight nervousness lacing his voice.
“Yeah,” you smiled at him before turning your back to him.
Castiel slowly ran his hands through your hair as he lathered the soap into it. It felt amazing and his touch made you instantly forget yourself. His hands massaged your scalp gently and when he was sure the soap had spread evenly he moved you directly under the spray. As the soap ran down your body from your hair he moved to grab a washcloth and body wash. “Would you prefer to wash your body yourself?” he asked as he turned back around, holding the cloth now covered in soap.
“You can,” you turned your body to face him once more and stood patiently, waiting for him to touch you.
He nodded and moved the cloth up your arm and across your collarbone to your other arm. You watched his face as his eyes travelled where he moved the cloth down your other arm. He went from your hand to your stomach, avoiding touching your breasts, which made you smile at his awkwardness. Grabbing his hand lightly you moved it up to your chest. “It’s okay Castiel,” you said softly, looking into his eyes as he made eye contact with you.
“O-okay,” he stuttered out slightly as he moved the cloth along the swell of your breasts. You heard him take a deep breath as he moved his hand between them and down to your waist. He bent to drag the cloth down your leg and up the other. When his hand came back up to your hip he gazed up at you, his eyes asking for permission to touch you in your most intimate part. You nodded down at him and ran your hand through his hair. The moment the soapy cloth made contact to your core your breath hitched in your throat and you bit your lip to keep any noise from escaping your lips. “Is everything alright?”
“Yes,” you said slightly breathless.
He stood back up and motioned for you to turn around. When you felt his chest touch your back, you almost jumped with how hot his skin felt against yours. You barely registered it when you felt something hard press into your lower back but couldn’t help but smirk knowing exactly what it was. You shook your head to get the dirty thoughts out of it, right now wasn’t the time to think about this. Your friend just died, this was about comfort.
Castiel ran the cloth against your neck and shoulders, kissing where the water washed away the soap as it went. “Are you feeling any better, Honeybee?” he asked, his voice even deeper than before.
You bit your lip when you felt his hard length slid across the cleft of your ass. “Thanks to you, I am,” you moaned softly as he moved his hands to your waist.
Castiel ran his hand up your sides and onto your stomach, hugging you to him tightly. “Are you ready to get out then?”
“You haven’t even washed yourself Cas?” you turned your head to look at him as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
“I don’t require soap,” he said bluntly.
You chuckled lightly. “I know, I know. You prefer using your grace to clean yourself up, but if you’d like I can wash you like you did for me.”
He pursed his lips in thought and then finally nodded. “Alright, if you wish to do so.”
Smiling slightly you moved away from him and turned around. You looked at his wet dark hair that stood out in multiple directions and chucked softly. “I’ll start with that mop,” you pointed to his head before reaching past him and grabbed a bottle of shampoo.
“Mop?” he questioned.
“Yes, your mop top,” you squirted a decent amount of shampoo into your hand before placing the bottle back.
“I don’t understand,” he looked at you skeptically.
“Doesn’t matter,” you smiled at him and rubbed your hands together, making sure the soap was fully lathered in your hands. “Do you mind bending down a little?” you asked as you raised your hands to his head barely being able to reach the top.
He bent his head down for you and practically purred when you started to massage the shampoo into his scalp. You watched as the suds fell down his face and neck. “Now I understand why people enjoy showering together,” he grinned and looked into your eyes.
“Most of the time it’s a little more heated Cas, but yeah it’s part of the reason. Good to know you enjoy me touching your hair though,” you said as you rinsed the soap from his hair.
“Heated? Like sexual intercourse?” he asked as he raised his head back up.
“Not like sex, it is sex,” you laughed softly and reached for the cloth he had previously discarded. Quickly putting soap on it, you began to wash his torso.
“I see, do you enjoy it?” he watched your hands as the moved down his chest to his stomach.
“Uh,” you paused and swallowed thickly. “Yeah, I do. It’s quite complicated though,” you looked at his face as you washed his arms.
“Complicated how?”
“Well, uh,” you took a moment to think. “It’s dangerous, if you don’t have the right footing you could both fall and die. I mean, if you’re human anyways,” you shrugged and moved your gaze to his waist, seeing his generously sized dick. Your breath caught in your throat as you noticed it had been hard basically this entire time. Shaking your head you emptied your clouded mind once again. “Do you want me to wash your dick too?” you cleared your throat.
He looked down at his own member and frowned slightly. “I apologize for this,” he said referring to its erectness. I can’t really control it,” he sounded embarrassed.
“Hey, it’s okay,” you stepped close enough to his so your chest was against his. “I get it,” you kissed his cheek lightly. “I won’t do it unless you’re okay with it.”
“You allowed me to touch you, it’s only fair,” he responded.
You nodded and looked straight at his chest as you moved your hand, with the cloth still in it, over his dick. You slowly ran your hand down it and across his balls. His breath hitched violently in his throat at the feeling, causing you to look up at his face. You watched as his jaw clenched tightly and his eyes closed tightly. “Cas?” you said breathily.
His eyes shot open and he looked into your eyes for a moment before crashing his lips to yours. He was gently and rough all at once. His kiss was needy but passionate as he wrapped his arms around your waist. The cloth dropped from your hand as you quickly wrapped your hands around his neck.
It barely registered in your mind when he moved his hands to your thighs and lifted you up. Wrapping your legs around his waist and running a hand through his hair, you let out a soft moan. His hard member was pressed against your core, which you only just realized was wet in more than one way.
You hissed slightly and broke the kiss when you felt the cold wall of the shower door on your back. Taking the opportunity Castiel kissed down your neck, nipping and licking his way across your chest. “May I, (Y/N)?” he asked carefully, looking up into your eyes. His normally bright blue eyes were clouded and blackened with lust.
You bit your lip and nodded, forgetting everything that had happened within the last few hours. “Please, Castiel,” you moaned.
He groaned and nipped at your neck, moving one of his hands to touch your heated core. His fingers slid along your slit easily as he moved them, brushing his thumb across your clit every so often. “So wet,” he growled slightly.
You nodded and gripped his hair tightly, pulling his head back a bit to kiss him deeply. He kissed you back feverishly, gripping your thigh tightly. Moving your hand that didn’t have a hold on his hair, you gripped his dick lightly and urged it towards your entrance.
He hissed slightly as he felt your soaked folds. “You have my permission,” you whispered against his lips. “Castiel,” you said his name as a prayer.
Castiel pressed his forehead against yours and began to press into you. You moaned loudly as he stretch you. When he finally bottomed out he gave you time to adjust. “Fuck,” he cursed breathlessly.
Wrapping your arms around his neck tightly, you pressed your body against his tightly. “Move,” you whispered.
He pressed his face into the crook of your neck and began thrusting his hips slowly. “You feel so good,” he groaned as he continued his torturingly slow pace.
“Castiel,” you moaned as he moved his hips in just the right way to hit your sweet spots.
Moving one of his hands to brace both of you against the shower door, he moved the other to cradle the back of your head. His thrust started to become harder and faster, causing you to moan louder. “Fucking hell,” he cursed again.
Given any other circumstances him using hell and just cursing in general would have made you giggle, but right now you loved the sound of his voice as he did. “Yes,” you groaned feeling the coil in your stomach tighten.
His hips started snapping into yours harder and inhumanly fast. Throwing your head back against the shower door and digging your nails into his back, you felt yourself get closer and closer. You felt yourself tighten around him and you were sure he did to. “Cum for me honeybee, please.”
You nodded breathlessly feeling the coil in your stomach finally snap. Castiel continued thrusting into you a few times before finding his own released. You pressed your forehead against his and closed your eyes tightly. He kissed your lips softly, to which you smiled against his lightly.
You started laughing softly at the events that just took place. When you opened your eyes you were greeted with the blissed out look of the angel in front of you. Throughout everything you didn’t notice the water go cold, only realizing it as your body calmed down from its high. Taking a deep breath you looked into his eyes as he did yours.
Placing one of his hands against your cheeks he looked at you seriously. “I think I love you.”

More Than A Hallucination (Castiel)
Prompt: “Why do I remember kissing you?”
Warnings: slight language, awkward, probably angsty (bc come on it’s me)
This is part of @waywardmoeyy‘s Awkward Moments challenge!! Happy birthday and keep up the great work!
“Crowley?” I asked, looking around at bloody walls and the rusted bars. “What am I doing here? Where are my brothers and Cas?”
Crowley looked at me with a sinister twinkle in his eye, as if I was his to play with. “Well, darling, you’re dead.” He told me, smirking. “And that means that you’re mine.”
I sat in shock for a second, processing what he was saying. Dead? No way. Sam and Dean wouldn’t let me die.
I didn’t let Crowley see the confusion on my face. In all my years of hunting, I knew how to keep a good poker face. “So what are you going to do with me?” I asked, smirking slyly.
“Nothing.” Crowley shrugged, smirking right back. “Isolation is the best torture, after all.” He added on, laughing a little afterwards, He walked away, but I didn’t complain. Crowley was never my favorite by any means. He was often annoying and condescending, and he never helped us unless he was getting something out of it. He’s a demon, and I expected nothing more of him.
But after a week, I had started to miss the company. Anybody’s company would’ve been okay. I just needed to talk to someone that wasn’t myself, someone who could actually respond. I began to look back on memories, some of them I didn’t even know I remembered.
I had many memories of my childhood with Sam and Dean. I was the oldest of the three, so many of my memories were of raising Dean and Sam until I started going on hunts with dad. That was my biggest mistake. I left Dean alone with Sam to raise him, when he was still a kid himself.
But dad wanted me out there with him. He just needed to find Azazel. And, sadly, it cost Dean and I our childhood. We tried our hardest to keep Sam a child for as long as we could. He was our baby brother, and he still is, but we couldn’t keep him from it all.
I thought of the feeling of losing one of them. I thought of how I just wanted to be with my brother again. It was always the other brother that kept me going. I was the oldest, sure, but I was never the one to attempt to cheat death. It was always them. It was Sam that we lost first. He had been stabbed clean through the spine, only to be brought back. I didn’t know how Dean did it until I went to Bobby.
And a year later we lost Dean. I had watched him die, and it was gruesome. The hellhounds tore him to shreds, leaving him unrecognizable. Sam and I buried him, and that was that. Sam went off the radar, hidden so well that even I couldn’t find him, I tried to keep looking-- he was bound to mess it up eventually.
I met Castiel five months later. At first it was strictly business between all four of us. Sam, Dean, and I each had a holy purpose, and Cas wanted it fulfilled. At least, until we convinced him that free will was more important, and he had went rogue to heaven, and became like a brother to Sam and Dean. But to me? He became everything to me.
Cas was proof that there was always an option. He showed me that we can choose between right and wrong, even when wrong was all we were taught. He protected me more than anybody else ever had-- even my own family. I quickly fell for him.
He kept me going for as long as I did. I was the only Winchester that didn’t die and come back to life. This was it for me. I was actually dead. And damn, I was dreading that day. I knew that I had done far too many bad things to be placed in heaven.
I knew that I couldn’t be saved. I knew that all I had tight now was myself and my memories.
After two weeks, I was numb to the outside world. I began to live within myself, within my own head. Crowley was right. Isolation was torture. And it was just the beginning.
“What’s wrong?” Castiel asked as he walked into my room, sitting on the bed.
“I’m fine, Cas.” I tell him, smiling forcibly. He sat next to me, placing a hand on my knee.
“You know better than to lie to me.” He sighed. “Tell me the truth?”
“Just going through the motions. It isn’t anything to worry about.”
“I always worry about you, (Y/N), you know that.” He tells me, grabbing my hand. Damn, I loved him. He always knew how to comfort me, without even knowing what was going on.
He began to lean in to me, taking me by a bit of a surprise. He looked down at my lips, and then back up to my eyes. Was this really happening? He moved slowly, making sure that I wanted this. And, gosh, did I want this.
“Hey, sis, dinner’s ready!” Sam called out as he knocked on the door. Cas dropped my hand and sat back in fear of Sam finding out what almost happened. Sam didn’t open the door, he almost never does. I sighed in relief, looking back over at Cas, seeing that he was gone.
My mind was filled with memories. Some of them with Sam and Dean, some of them with past flings in high school and through my adulthood, some of them with people like Charlie and Kevin, and a lot of them with Cas. I missed all of them, each and every one. Hell, at this moment, I would’ve taken Abaddon’s company (which was a huge thing considering she captured me and tortured me for eight months before I managed to escape and find Sam).
I drifted between reality and my head, and I sometimes hear and see things that didn’t exist. I’ve seen Dean in my cell, claiming that it was a good riddance and that they weren’t even going to save me; that they were just going to leave me to rot in hell in isolation from the outside world. I couldn’t even hear the other prisoners screaming or crying or begging for mercy. I couldn’t hear the demons as they delivered food to me through a small space beneath the floor.
I desperately wanted them to say something. Or to look at me. Smile. Smirk. Something. I just wanted them to acknowledge me, I wanted them to recognize that I still somehow existed, even if they didn’t treat me humanely. I wanted some sort of communication from someone else, because I was getting sick of my own thoughts. I wanted to scream out to Crowley to turn me, or to do something to me, anything to me. I didn’t care. I needed another conscience being. Whether that was somebody as wretched as Abaddon, Metatron, Crowley, or Amara; or it was somebody as beloved as Sam, Dean, or Castiel.
“Don’t you ever touch him again.” I gritted, throwing my hand around the other angels neck. I punched her square in the nose, using enough force to break it and cause bleeding. I grabbed her angel blade from her hand, and turned it around and cut her cheek. “If you turn around right now, I won’t kill you.”
“It is an order that I must capture or kill Castiel and the Winchester bloodline. I can not turn back on an order.”
“The hell you can’t,” I sassed. “You always have an option.” I warned her, gripping my blade. She didn’t change her facial expressions, she didn’t move an inch. It was a though she was debating with herself, before her eyes hardened. With that one little move, I knew that it was over for her. She walked up to me, holding her glowing hand out to attempt smiting me. I threw my blade, hitting her dead in the heart, causing her to collapse and die, angel wings burned into the carpet. I grabbed the blade and wiped off the blood, placing the blade in my jacket.
“(Y/N), I need you here.” Cas grunted, holding his side. I ran to him without hesitation, right as Sam and Dean broke into the room we were in. “How bad is it?” He asked me.
“You’ll be okay, Cas.” I tell him, a slight lie in my voice. He was hurt, and he was human. Those two things alone made me scared half to death. I grabbed a blanket that was on the floor, and I placed in on his side, proceeding to tie it around him and then help him stand up. “Everything will be fine. We just have to leave.” I added on.
That night, he fell asleep on me, clutching me tightly because he was scared. He was human, he was in need of a protector, and dammit was I going to be his guardian.
A year in this hell hole-- literally. I’ve lost every sense of real and fake. I have gone completely mad. The only thing that I knew was that I wasn’t going to let Crowley win. I wouldn’t cry out for him. That would prove that I was weak.
“(Y/N), look out!” Dean called, making me turn around, into the blade that was aimed at my stomach. I gasped, pain radiating through my body. I fell to my knees as I clutched on to the blade, a silent beg to not take it out. I couldn’t die here. I couldn’t leave my brothers and Castiel here.
A bright burn occurred, and the angel that had become my keeper was on the ground with an angel blade through his back. I saw Castiel, a look of worry on his face. He fell to my side, and Sam and Dean did the same, watching on as I began taking my final breaths.
“You’re going to be okay.” Sam said, grabbing one of my hands. I looked up at him, my eyes wide and scared. I have never died before, and I was so scared of what would happen. Sam and Dean came back from hell completely torn apart, souless, mentally scarred in ways I couldn’t imagine. And I was about to find myself in hell.
“Look at me, (Y/N).” Cas said, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Take deep breaths. You’re going to be fine. It isn’t that bad.” He lied. It was always so obvious when he lied to me.
“I’m not okay!” I exclaimed, feeling the room start to go dark. “I’m dying, guys. I know that I am. It’s okay. I’ll be strong down in hell.” I say, starting to struggle for any air. “It just hurts so much.” I muttered, more to myself than anything.
Something in Cas just broke. He started crying, and he cupped my face in his hand. I leaned into his touch, tears sliding down my cheek. He leaned down, his lips meeting mine. It was a momentary kiss, not lasting any longer than two seconds, but holy shit it meant everything to me.
“I love you.” He whispered.
“I love you, too.” I told him. I meant it with my entire being. I regretted not telling him sooner. “Please don’t forget me.” I begged of them. All of them. Not just Cas. I don’t want my brothers to forget me, I didn’t want Cas to forget me, I didn’t want anybody that I loved to forget me.
“Of course we won’t. Are you kidding me? You’re the best damn thing that ever happened to us. You were the only motherly figure that we ever had growing up, and you were more of a father than dad was.” Dean told me. “We could never forget somebody who practically raised us.”
I smiled, a bit of blood flowing from my mouth. I coughed a little, hating the way the blood filled my lungs so painfully. I sputtered out more blood, now unable to say anything, my vision getting darker, and eventually dimming out into nothingness.
I sat up nearly screaming. What the hell was that? I have never remembered that moment. I remembered being stabbed, and then going numb and giving up.
I threw the blanket off of me, getting out of the bed and standing in a fighting position. This wasn’t the prison cell, and I sure as hell couldn’t have been hallucinating. I looked at my surroundings, noticing my bags and my things set up like my room in the bunker. Was this some sick joke? I went to the bottom drawer of my nightstand and grabbed the gun from it, seeing it still loaded.
I turned off the safety and kept the gun in front of me, half scared to a second death. I turned around the corner, getting ready to shoot if I needed to. I continued to walk down the hallway, making sure that nobody was going to jump out at me.
“(Y/N)?” I heard a voice ask. I twirled myself around, tightening my grip on the pistol as I looked at Dean, with his hands raised upon seeing the gun. His expression quickly turned from good to bad, and he drew his gun as well. “Who the hell are you?” He asked.
“Who are you? Because you sure as hell aren’t my brother.” I tell him, placing my finger on the trigger. “My brothers are back on earth, not in hell with me.”
“This is earth. I burned and scattered my sister’s ashes a year ago. How did you get to her body?” He asked me, his voice getting louder. I saw a tear in his eye, but I knew that he wouldn’t let it spill. It wasn’t like Dean to do that. “Answer me, dammit! How did you manage to get my sister’s body?”
“Dean!” I heard a voice ask. It was my favorite voice. The one that knew how to make everything better. It was Castiel. “It’s really her.”
Dean didn’t listen at first. “It can’t be. She died, Cas. I burned her body myself.”
“I promise you, it’s actually her.” Cas assured, which made Dean drop his gun. I kept a firm grip on mine, still not trusting it. This entire thing could be a hallucination. Just like the other memories. The only difference was that all of the other hallucinations already happened. This hasn’t happened before. This entire thing was new, and more inclusive than ever before. (Y/N), pl-”
“Why do I remember kissing you?” I asked suddenly, cutting him off. His face immediately flushed, and he looked down. “Answer me.” I command, my voice low.
I physically saw Dean back out of the room, attempting to evade the situation unfolding.
“I-uh, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He told me, shifting awkwardly.
“Bullshit.” I called, scoffing slightly. “I remember you kissing me and it’s really fucking with my head right now.”
Castiel sighed and looked around. “Humans aren’t supposed to remember the last five minutes of their life.” He mumbled, more so to himself. I lowered my gun, furrowing my eyebrows.
“What?”
“I, uh, I didn’t kiss you.” He told me, cracking my heart. I swallowed thickly. “You just imagined it.”
“Oh.” I say, looking around. I was embarrassed. Confronting an angel that doesn’t handle emotions with something like this while pointing a gun at him? Not a good idea. “Am I really alive though?” I asked.
“Yes. You are. Sam would be elated to see you.” He told me, walking out of the room. I sighed, taking a moment to breath and feel the heat in my cheeks fade out.
I needed to see Sam and Dean. Walking out of the hallway, I found my way to the map room, seeing both Sam and Dean in there.
“Sam? Dean?” I asked. They both turned around, Sam’s eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
“I-I thought Dean was lying. You’re really back?” Sam asked, smiling slightly. “But, how?”
“I don’t know. But I know that I’m out.” I say, completely dropped the gun, and I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around him. “I missed you guys so much.”
“We missed you, too.” Sam said, kissing my hair. He let me go so that I could hug Dean, which I did. I loved Dean’s hugs. They were rare, and so they were special in every way.
“I don’t care how you came back. You’re here now, and that’s what matters. The last Winchester to die and come back.” Dean laughed, pulling away.
This felt amazing. Actual conversation with another person was amazing, especially when it was with my brothers.
“I’m going to go to my room and change out of these.” I tell them, looking down at my grimy clothes from my year in hell. They smiled and nodded, letting me clean myself up.
Once I got to my room, I jumped in the shower and washed up, getting out and quickly changing into my clothes. I forgot how nice it felt to have clean clothes. “(Y/N), I believe that we need to talk.” I heard, making me jump.
“Shit, Cas, you scared me.” I laughed lightly, still slightly embarrassed about the first conversation since my return.
He sits down on the bed, motioning to the spot next to him. “What all do you remember?” Cas asked me, avoiding looking at me.
“I remember dying, saying that we love each other, kissing, and then me showing up in hell.” I explain simply. “It was probably a hallucination, though. I didn’t know much of what was real and fake I suppose.”
“No, it was real.” Castiel said, actually looking over my way. “I thought that you would’ve forgotten completely. I’m a celestial being, and you’re a human. We should not share emotions like these.”
“Well, that kind of sucks.” I responded. “I’m still going to feel the exact same way, whether you reciprocate or not.”
“But what about the other ang-”
I rested my hand on his thigh in a reassuring way, making him look at me with wide eyes. “The other angels don’t scare me. You know that I’ve never been one to back down to a fight.” I assured him. “I understand if you don’t want to do anything about it, but if you do, I’m here.” I tell him, glancing down slightly. “But either way, you might want to take care of the snake in your pants.” I laughed, which made him gulp. I leaned in and kissed his cheek, getting ready to stand up.
He stopped me, grabbing my wrist and pulling me back down to the bed. He gently pressed his lips to mine, a simple kiss that still shook me to the core. “Perhaps we could try this?” He asked me, resting his forehead on mine. I smiled and nodded, kissing him again.
“Just go take care of that and then come see me.” I smirked, standing up and walking to meet up with Sam and Dean.

Birthday Tickles - a Supernatural Fic
Description: When Dean and Gabriel’s birthday plan for Sam goes awry, Dean has to think of a distraction technique, and fast. The solution? Dredging up a childhood tradition.
Author’s Note: boy this thing was a wild ride to write
“Ow!”
“You idiot!”
“Ugh- wait no no no DON’T DROP THE FLOUR- AGH!”
Sam paused, the faint agonised yelling reaching an ungodly volume. A tiny smirk found his lips as he placed his headphones on the table, rising from the lore book in his room to go and sort out the discord. As he rounded the corner into the hallway, a trail of flour and milk littered the floor. Eyebrows raised, the Winchester hesitantly peeked into the Bunker’s kitchen.
The sight that greeted him was almost indescribable.
How on earth two people had managed to make a mess of such apocalyptic standards was far beyond Sam’s comprehension. Even the ceiling had spatters of egg that dripped in yellow-and-white waterfalls onto the tiled floor. At least, the floor used to be tiled. Hills of flour and lakes of clouded water formed a grotesque landscape that had somehow been blended together, most likely by the boot-prints that littered the battleground. Sam’s eyes followed the trail of imprints, and noticed two pairs of hunting boots standing amongst the fray.
“Sh*t.” A sudden exclamation had Sam glancing upwards to see his brother and Archangel hovering by the counter like guilty schoolchildren. He raised an eyebrow.
“Um, Dean? What is this?”
“None of your Damn business! Go!” Dean made a shooing motion towards the door, which amused the younger Hunter to no end.
“At least let me clean up a bit?”
“Nope, I’ve got that covered, Samsquatch. See?” Gabriel pitched in, snapping his fingers and eliminating the mess instantly.
“Well, you two are hardly the baking type. What gives?”
“Hey, uh Sammy, that reminds me, I found something on that case, c’mon-“
“Dean,” Sam deadpanned, folding his arms. “Don’t try to divert the conversation. This isn’t something to do with my birthd-“
“Huh, sorry Sammitch? I couldn’t hear you from down here. Now hurry along, go bother someone else.” The sudden interruption on Gabriel’s part elicited a bark of laughter from Dean, following which he turned to whisper something to the Seraph.
“Ugh, come on, guys-“
“Hey, Sammy.”
“Yes, Gabe?” Whatever it was his older brother had said, it couldn’t be good. Gabriel had that gleam in his eyes again; the kind that acted as a bright red warning sign for anyone in his proximity.
“Speakin’ of your birthday, isn’t there a tradition you should be upholding?”
“W-what?”
“See, Dean-o tells me you haven’t yet received your birthday tickles.”
The speed at which Sam felt blood rushing to his cheeks was scary. Flashes of his childhood reminded the hunter of many birthdays spent scrambling away from Dean’s tickling fingers, only to be pinned down and tickled senseless; one minute for each year he’d aged. It only grew more torturous each year.
“P-please, Gabe, no!” Sam turned and sprinted when he saw the Archangel lunge towards him, legs carrying him to the war room as fast as possible. But running proved rather useless; his attacker appeared straight in front of him, and the brunette crashed into Gabriel with a panicked “No!”
Within seconds, the Hunter felt invisible bonds latching onto his hands, pinning them to the floor whilst Gabriel knelt over him and cracked his knuckles with that wicked smirk on his face. Sam felt a blush rising on his cheeks, and he kicked his legs out, already hating the confinement.
“G-Gabe, please-“A grace-feather swiping over his tummy had Sam gritting his teeth, head shaking no in determination.
“Please what? Tickle you? Well, we have got a target of thrity-four minutes,” Gabriel watched, amused, as his mojo slowly poked and prodded at his hunter – he couldn’t help but smile when the tasering sensation he’d sent Sam’s way had him twitching up off the floor and giggling slightly.
“Ahaha- Gabe! Stahahap! No, No, Nohohoho!” Suddenly the hunter was squirming on the floor, eyes closed in laughter as several hands wriggled up and down his torso. Things only got worse when Gabriel’s fingers were added into the mix; they clawed at his sides with infuriating precision, hitting clusters of nerves that sent his brain into overdrive. Back arched, Sam found he could barely get a plea in through his hysterics.
“Aw, Sammitch! This is too sweet! Why didn’t you tell me you were this ticklish?”
“Ahahahaha, nohohoho, plehehehehease! Ahahahahahahaha, stahahap!”
“Why, you too ticklish for your own good? We’re only on minute 5, kiddo!”
The teasing was taking its toll on the Winchester; Sam cursed inwardly at how damn good Gabe was at messing with him like this. In a moment of giggle-fuelled fervour, he reasoned that the guy had probably invented tickling in the first place.
All thoughts were driven from his head, though, when he opened his eyes to see six golden wings poised menacingly over his pinned frame. The light from the bunker filtered through the feathers, tainting them a pale dandelion that made Sam want to reach up and touch them despite his given predicament. Gabriel’s mojo had faded slightly, leaving Sam time to prepare for his impending doom; he met the angel’s eyes with reluctance,
“Don’t youhou dare-“
The wings fluffed up slightly, and Sam flinched – a bright snigger from Gabriel elicited an eye roll from the taller man.
“Yeesh – a little tense, are we?”
“Stoppit!”
“Wouldn’t dream of it, birthday boy,” A dirty blonde smile followed by a flash of gold was the last thing Sam saw before his senses were assaulted by one of the worst tickle attacks he’d ever experienced.
The Grace had returned with triple its previous intensity, buzzing streaks of ticklish electricity zinging and zipping from A to B, to C to D…it was overwhelming to say the least. Meanwhile, countless hands wriggled and pinched and spidered over his skin, their irritating fingers knowing exactly how to tickle each spot on Sam’s torso. A single finger did ring-a-roses around his navel, whilst another hand had formed a claw that vibrated into the soft skin. Invisible pairs of hands were stationed at his sides and ribs, tweaking and tasering any newfound sensitive spots. And the wings…if Sam could’ve shivered, he would have. The feathers somehow bypassed the barriers of his jacket and t shirt, flicking and swiping over his skin under the fabric. They swirled under his arms, bringing tears to his eyes and causing his back to arch; they were everywhere – hundreds of feathers moving in three different paths. The second pair stroked from his ribs to his hips, primary feathers dusting the nerves and making him twitch in unmitigated laughter. Lying like that on the floor, giggles and shrieks pouring from his lips, be was nothing more than an instrument.
But boy, did Gabe know how to play him. Each and every one of his tickle spots were thoroughly exploited, and not a second went by where the hunter wasn’t under scrutiny from the Trickster’s own brand of antagonising teasing.
“Oh, Sammitch, you are adorable.”
“You should see how red you’re blushing right now!”
“Now that was a cute sound! Let’s see if you can do it again!”
“Oh my – did you just squeak? That is too cute.”
The remarks and provocations were beginning to merge together, Sam having lost all concept of time under Gabriel’s fingers. And it didn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon; his laughter rang out in the war room of the bunker for what appeared to be an eternity, and the hunter had long since lost coherency, eyes screwed shut, with tears of mirth clouding his vision.
“Hey, Gabe…” A voice was drowned out by the sound of Sam’s own laughing fit, quickly followed by the onslaught quickly withdrawing. Precious oxygen flowed into Sam’s lungs, his chest heaving up and down in giggly gasps as he hesitantly opened his eyes to see Dean standing over him, holding something in his arms. His head thumped back on the floor, too tired to bother figuring out what the object was.
“Good job – I think ya broke him.”
“Nah, you only gave me half an hour.”
“Th-thank goodness for that,” Body only just noticing he could move again, Sam muttered, sitting up and grasping his torso protectively. Gabriel hooked an arm under his shoulder, yanking him to his feet.
“Shut up, Sammitch, you love it. Anyway, whilst you failed to appreciate your birthday present, Dean’s finished what we were working on.” The archangel turned, gesturing to the cake in Dean’s hands. Some icing and sprinkles lay over the top, complete with candles that spelled out “B*tch”. Sam couldn’t fight the massive smile on his face.
“Thanks, Dean.”
“Wait, you haven’t seen the next part,” The older Winchester nodded towards the bunker door, where Gabriel was greeting a number of Sam’s friends.
“Happy Birthday, dude.”
“Jerk.” Sam grinned, hitting Dean on the head as he walked over to hug Charlie. As his family came into the bunker, he couldn’t help but let his heart swell in happiness. The crowd continued growing, Gabriel coming back over and whispering something about tickling him more often.
“Ugh, stop it.”
“What’s that, Sammitch? No birthday tickles yet?” Dean was suddenly by Sam’s shoulder, Charlie close behind. The younger hunter held his hands up in defence.
“no, no- guys! Ah!”
The Bunker wouldn’t be falling quiet again for a long time.

For my friend, @darcymikaelsonblog, she’s 19 today, happy birthday you bitchy cakepie. Second chapter should be done tomorrow.
Birthdays are made for confesions
AN: Castiel/OC, Dom!Castiel, Sub!OC, part 1/2
It was really nice day. Mondays don’t tend to be nice for lots of people, but Martha loved them, so she told me anyways. Especially this one, because it was her birthday. She was wondering (her eyes glinted with anticipation, as she was talking), what she’s going to get from Sam and Dean. Our last hunt was last week in New Orleans - wendigo was slayed by the time of lunch, so they thought about buying some “girl stuff” as they called it, there. But we decided against it, because I wanted to buy her something special, because she was special and deserved more, than just some clothing or jewels. So when we came with nothing until thursday, we had a “family meeting” as Dean called it. We sat by the table in the main room in bunker and discussed what came to our minds. Martha was, fortunately, away, she said she’s having a “girls nights out” with Jane and that she’d be back on sunday. I was tempted to fly to her to check if she’s okay, but she didn’t like it, when I was, apparently, sneaking on her. She gave me this “talk about personal space” like Dean.
“What about some hair product?” Sam started.
“That would be nice gift.” I said. In the corner of my eye, I saw Dean rolling his eyes.
“No, she’s not some ordinary Joe, it has to be something awesome and long lasting, hair products tend to disapear after just few months of using. In your case weeks, Sammy.” Sam’s face scrunched in his favourite manner, something that I heard Dean calling “bitchface”. It was not a good term for him to use, not especially for his own brother’s face, but I noticed they didn’t mind using vulgarisms on each other. Or on me. I’m starting to get used to it.
“Then enlighten me and suggest something already!” Sam shouted and Dean snorted at this. I frowned. Is there something funny?
“I don’t know anything about gifts for women, okay? I never gave anything to anyone, except you and dad. You are the same case. Cas too. Or am I wrong, Cas?” He turned to me and I shook my head.
“No, Dean, you’re unfortunately right. We have to ask someone, who knows what kind of gifts tend friends to give to someone special. What about this friend of yours, Charlie Bradbury?” I suggested.
“That’s good idea, I wanted to check on her anyway. So, get this, I’ll take the Impala and find out what she knows and you guys can borrow my laptop and do some research on net.” When Dean wanted to interrupt, Sam points his index finger on him and raises his eyebrows.
“I’ll be back in mo. Don’t worry about baby, you know I can take care of her.” When he started to walk away, Dean shouted: “bring some pie!” after him.
“Stupid research, well, let’s go to my awesome brother’s room. I’ll make a mess in there, then he’ll never give me research on his laptop ever again.” Dean muttered while we were walking in the hallway. He went to the kitchen and grabbed beer and tuna sandwich. I frowned, because he doesn’t like fish meat, but I let it go, maybe he wanted to try new flavours.
When we reached Sam’s bedroom, I heard someone’s whispering my name. I stopped on door’s threshold and tried to catch who belongs to that voice. I suddenly felt ill feeling in my stomach. Something is happening. Something bad. And it’s happening to Martha. Her voice grew louder and by the time I was trying to found her exact location, she was shouting for help. I wanted to fly off immediatly, but I remembered Dean was here and he’ll be disapointed if I abandoned him without word.
“Dean, something is happening to Martha, I’m going to help her. You stay here.” I calmly said and hoped he won’t object. But he proved me wrong.
“No way, Chuckles, take me with you as a back up. If she’s in trouble, I want to help. And what if Jane’s in danger too and you wouldn’t have time to save both of them. I’m goin’.” He came in front of me with Ruby’s knife in his hand and waited for my fingers to land on his forehead.
We landed in some dark place. It looked like some old factory. Dean was clutching his abdomen and muttering “I’ll not poop for week again.” Suddenly, I heard scream behind me and I turned around. Someone jumped at me and tried to bite my neck. Vampire, to be exact. I easily throwed it away and heard how the beast screeched from pain. He got up and lunged at me again, but this time I had my angel blade in my hand and with one movement his head was no longer attached to body. His blood stained my trenchcoat, later I’d clean it with my grace.
I took down two more and I glanced at Dean’s direction to make sure he’s alright, but he was already going to check the other rooms for Martha and Jane. We hadn’t heard any sound since then, it was “deadly silence” as someone calls it. Dean opened a few doors, before someone attacked him. I rushed to him, ready to slice head of this girl, her head already in the crook of his neck, but I recognised her hair. It was Jane. I was wrong, she was not biting him, she was hugging him, actually. Dean was disoriented for a minute, before he hugged her back.
“I’m so glad you two came, if not, she’d be dead. Or a vampire.” Jane’s voice was barely recognisable for her closeness to Dean, but I heard her. I inhaled sharply and looked around.
“Where is Martha?” I asked and walked behind Dean to see her face. She had red face, probably from crying, the tears were drenching Dean’s shirt.
“She’s in that room, unconscious, but she’s okay, they just knocked her on head when she struggled too much. I checked her breathing and she’s alive.” She mumbled and I went to this dirty storage room, that she pointed her finger on. I hardly saw anything, but I could make out a body laying on the ground. I crouched beside it and it was truly Martha. Her face was bloodied and she was pale, but she was alive.
Happiness flooded through my being and I was surprised to feel it. My vessel’s heartbeat sped up for no reason (or so I thought) and I was compelled to touch her soft hair. This feeling was something I’ve never felt before. It was similar to what I felt when I was human and April looked at me, when she was pretending to have interest in me. Or when Nora asked me if I was free for day and I thought it was a date. But this was stronger. This was craving for her, for my friend to become my lover.
I shook my head and pushed the feelings away. This is not the right time. Two of my fingers touched her cheek and I tried hard to not enjoy the softness of her skin. My grace travelled from there to the wound and healed the broken cells. She gasped and opened her chocolate eyes. When she saw me, she smiled. I couldn’t help myself to smile back and I offered my hand for her to take it. When she took it with her cooler and smaller hand, my senses tingled.
“Thank God, you heard me. Thanks, Castiel.” Shiver went down my spine, when she said my name. What is wrong with my vessel? Maybe it was because she was always calling be by nickname Dean gave me. Why she used my full name was not clear to me. I suddenly remembered the state of my clothes and cleaned them with my power of heaven.
I helped her up, but she wasn’t completely okay, she certainly had concussion. So when her legs gave out, When I grabed her under back and knees, she yelped in surprise, and I carried her away from this beast hole.
Jane was still clinging on Dean and I smirked. They were adorable as bunnies in winter, hugging themselves for little warmth.
“Let’s go, hold tight.” I said before I carried us back home. To the bunker, I mean. I can’t call it home, because there was always chance that it would be destroyed. But I can call home wherever Winchester brothers and these two girls were. Even if it was just laying in the field under stars. I imagined Martha’s face in starlight. That would be the most precious sight I’ve ever seen.
My dreams were interrupted by Dean complaining about his digestion. I rolled my eyes, for his moaning was not of importance.
Then I remembered that Martha was still in my arms and my insides clenched. Her soft skin under my fingers was making my vessel’s temperature grow and breath quick. Her shirt was loose and had no sleeves and so my hand was on her bare shoulder. I tried to not look at her, but vessel’s curious eyes were soon travelling across her face. She looked flustered, her pale skin was tainted with red. We shared a few moments, just staring at eachother’s very souls.
“What are you two, frozen? Or you want to be alone?” Dean’s voice broke our trance. I ignored him and instead stealthed my grip on Martha’s fragile body.
“My mistake, I should put you in your bed, you need to rest.” She wanted to protest, but I hardened my gaze and her lips closed with defeat. I moved to go to her chamber, leaving Dean and Jane alone.
When I kicked the door open, she yelped. I found that really cute.
“My apologies, I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“You didn’t scare me, I just didn’t expect it. Well... Cas, can you put me down?” I looked at her, stunned at her question. My vessel’s brain apparently shut down and I couldn’t move.
“Cas? Are you okay? You’re not hurt, are you?” She raised her hand to my shoulder and touched it. I gasped, finally able to do something, even if it was to do the opposite of what I intended.
“Sorry, I was just thinking. I should put you to bed and then you’ll sleep.” I said authoritatively and done what I’ve said. I reached for covers and layed them on her to warm her. When I turned to leave, she catched my hand and pulled me towards her.
“Can you please stay? I’m cold.” Indeed, her hands were cooler than ice and I didn’t like it. My mind was telling me it’s a bad idea, but I couldn’t left her with so low temperature. She could catch flu. Yes, she’ll have discomfort if I left, she’d be better when I lay down and... lord, take her form from behind to press her back to my chest. Vessel started to sweat from nerves.
These feelings were very uncharastical for me. I’m an angel of the lord and fear one girl. One really beautiful and special girl. I should put end to this by resolving the sexual tension and ask her to copulate with me. I’m not afraid. What can I loose? Oh, that’s right, her friendship. I should start with kissing her. It’s what humans do, when they’re expresing their love for each other, or am I wrong?
So I took her hand and kissed the back of it. She gasped softly and turned to face me. That made things easier.
“Martha, can I kiss you?” I asked bluntly. She chuckled, she perhaps thought that I’m joking. When she saw, that I’m not, her smile slipped away.
“You mean it?” Her eyes shined again with that glint, but there was something else entirely. Wanting, longing.
“Yes. I’d like to have our friendship become more. I want you to be my soulmate, partner, love. If you don’t feel the same way, I’ll accept it. Our relationship will remain untouched like it is. But if you want more, I want to kiss you. Can I, Martha?” Her pupils were large and the brown of her eyes disapeared for moment. I was lost in her stare and she was closing distance between us.
“Why are you still talking? Shut up and just kiss me, you dork.” She smiled again and I gazed at her lips for a moment. They were soft looking and pink. No, red. Something inbetween. I gave up to her spell and sat up a little, just to get on top of her and kiss her passionately.
“So, you like to top? Can a dork like you dominate?” She teased, at first I felt offended, but then I remembered that there was thing called “pillow talk” and “dirty talk”. I’d rather use first one, because second one needs proper research.
“Yes, I can. I was a leader of an army, so you-” I grabbed both of her wrists and pinned them above her head, “-are under my control now.” Her breathing sped up and I figured out, that she liked to be dominated. So I tightened my grip on her hands and kissed her again, this time with all lust I kept inside. She moaned and I felt my vessel’s reproductive organ flowing with blood.
“You’ve been very bad girl today, Martha.” I trailed my kisses down her jaw and her throat. She was writhing under me, but I held her hips with my other hand.
“Hold still. You don’t want to have it harder for you than you’ll have it now. As I said, you’ve done disobedience. And for that you have to be punished.” She hummed and and idea came to me.
“So your punishment is to wait with copulating until you get your birthday present from me.” I said in low voice and she looked at me with frown.
“Not that, Cas! Anything else, but not that! You started this, so you better end it now!” She pursed her lips to express her hurt, but I just smirked and kissed her lightly.
“Waiting and obedience would be rewarded, until then, I’m sorry.” And I flew off.

Masterlist
Zephaniah sat at the table in the war room with her head in her hands. Dean paced back and forth in front of her, trying to persuade her not to go to Israel.
"Dean, we've been over this a million times now," Zephaniah groaned, letting her arms fall to the table. "I'm going to Israel. There could be answers there, and I have to follow them."
"You don't. Charlie is onto something she said, we should let her figure that out before the both of you risk your lives trying to fix my problem."
Zephaniah was furious; it had been a while before anger took hold of her so quickly. She shoved out of her chair with such fervor that the wooden chair fell back, slapping against the wooden floor.
"Your problem?" she seethed, "You think this is only your problem? What about Sam who had to watch you take hold of the First Blade and wonder if it was going to be you or Cain coming from that room! And if it was you, how was he supposed to know if you were really going to be you? Or Castiel, and angel and your family, who had to watch you wreak havoc as a demon. Or me, Dean. I was tortured by you, in more ways than one, while you were a demon. You may think all of that is over because you're human again, but guess what? We all live in fear that The Mark is going to take hold and we'll lose you for good while you're standing right in front of us. This is not only your problem!"
It was Dean's turn to put his head in his hands. He ran his fingers through his hair and held his hands up in defeat. "Fine. You're right. I took The Mark, and I caused the problem for everyone else. I make a mess of things and then everyone else is left to clean it up, right?"
Zephaniah rolled her eyes. "No. You don't get to do that. You don't get to pity yourself. Yes, you too The Mark, but damn it, you did it for a good reason. You did what you had to do, but instead of looking at it like the rest of us cleaning up your mess, why don't you look at as your family being behind you? We are all you have, and you are all we have." She threw her head back and tried to lower her voice. "I'm going to Israel. If Charlie comes back with something that works, you call me, and I'll be on the next flight back to the States. Until then, I'm not passing this up."
She walked out of the room, headed to pack a small bag with only the essentials she would need for her trip. Her bag was packed and zipped, and she was verifying all of her travel information when Dean knocked on her door.
Zephaniah looked entirely defeated. "All we do is fight, Dean. We fight to stay together, we fight to stay alive, we fight with each other. I don't want to fight anymore."
"I'm not here to fight. You're right," he shrugged. "It's not just my problem. But you can't convince me it isn't my fault. Which is why if you go do this and something happens to you ... I still haven't forgiven myself for torturing you in Hell. How do I forgive myself if you go on this trip and something happens to you?"
Zephaniah looked around for a moment, then shrugged. "You keep going. You keep looking for answers. You don't stop trying for one moment to be better than The Mark. That's how."
Dean didn't like it, but the matter had been decided. Zephaniah asked him to take her to the airport in the morning, and he jumped at the chance. Every second she was there could be their last together, and he didn't want to spend even one more second fighting.
They would go to the airport together in the morning, but Dean was going to spend these precious minutes with Zephaniah while he could. He trailed a hand down her jaw before brushing his lips over hers. Zephaniah let out a breath; he could feel relief ease the tension in her muscles.
Without hesitation, Zephaniah reached for the hem of his shirt and pulled it over his head. She went up on tiptoe to kiss him again, with far more fervor than he had kissed her. She played with the short hairs at the back of his head, pressed her body against his and begged him to love her.
“It could be the last time,” Dean said against her lips. He could feel a lump rise in his throat, but Zephaniah threw her own shirt off and loved his worries away.
The flight to Tel Aviv was longer and more arduous than Zephaniah was prepared to endure. With two layovers, it was over twenty hours of traveling, and she was exhausted. She arrived at the hotel there in the wee hours of the morning, and when she woke, she shouldered her bag and boarded a train to Jerusalem.
The hotel there was simple but accommodating. Zephaniah would sleep for a while she decided, and wait for J. Shamayim to show up. She was still worried about the connection of The Darkness to the whole matter, how this person had any clue about The Darkness, and what would happen if she could not stop all of it. Not to mention, the fact that the ReliQuest people would be finding her ...
Just to be on the safe side, Zephaniah sent an email to confirm her arrival in Jerusalem. She sent Dean a text to let him know she had arrived safely, then settled in to sleep. When she woke and showered hours later, it was morning. There were no messages for her at the front desk and no signs that anyone was coming to meet her. She had not planned on an extended stay overseas and wasn't interested in changing her plans.
But when she pulled up her email to write a scathing letter to J. Shamayim about making her wait, there was already an email waiting for her.
From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Meeting Location
Ms. Jordan,
As we have not been able to locate you as planned, we have set up a time and location. Go to the open market at noon, and you will receive further details upon your arrival.
Sincerely,
J. Shamayim
Zephaniah nodded and closed her computer. She had just under thirty minutes to get to the open market. The relic that could possibly cure Dean of The Mark of Cain was within her grasp, it seemed. Anticipation flooded her mind, but she tried to keep her breathing even and composed as she rode in the back of the cab to the open market.
She had been roaming the streets for only a few minutes when a black sedan pulled up next to her. Two men got out of the back of the car; one held the door open while the other gagged her and tossed her roughly into the backseat. She fought and struggled against them tying her hands behind her back, but they were much stronger than she was. Finally, she quit struggling and sat back against the seat.
As the car pulled into traffic, the front seat passenger turned around. Zephaniah’s eyes grew wide as she realized Josiah was the man staring back at her. She had only a few moments to process it all before the man who had held the door knocked her over the head with something solid and hard, and everything went black.
When she came to, she was laying on the bed in her hotel room. The two men who had accosted her in the street were standing by, and Josiah was looking out the window of the room.
“It was you,” Zephaniah sputtered out. “You are J. Shamayim.”
“The word translates to ‘Heaven’ in Hebrew. All that research, Zephaniah, and you haven’t come across it once. Or rather, you have and you chose not to think it through. Dean Winchester is quite the weakness for you.”
She coughed as she sat up, squeezing her eyes shut against the pain in her head. “You lied to me. What is it that you want me so bad for that you had to lie to get me here? Halfway around the fucking world.”
“Language, Zephaniah. You are in the presence of angels, after all.” Josiah gave her an amused smiled, crossing his arms over his chest. “Please, do get up. Get yourself a glass of water. We’ll order up room service after we’re through.”
Zephaniah got up, but re-thought the glass of water. She pulled the angel blade from under her pillow and pointed it at Josiah. The two other angels came at her, but the first one was dead before the second got to her. It was a bit of a struggle, and she was on the floor with a split lip before the other angel was killed. Eventually though, she was right back where she started, with the blade pointed at Josiah.
“I will kill you too,” Zephaniah threatened, not bothering to wipe the blood from her face, “if you do not tell me why it’s so important that I be the one to stop Dean – which, by the way, is all I have been trying to do.”
“No, Zephaniah, you’ve been trying to stop The Mark.”
“What is the difference? Josiah, the Dean you are trying to stop is the Dean I know under the influence of The Mark of Cain.”
Josiah’s smirk didn’t fade. “Well, it is that influence that keeps him coming back to you.”
The angel blade was suddenly a lead weight in her hand. “What are you saying?”
Josiah clasped his hands behind his back and carefully passed over the dead vessel of his fallen brother as he approached Zephaniah. “Your soul, Zephaniah, is the key to every realm. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory – you can walk right in, at your leisure. The Mark on Dean’s arm encases The Darkness. Do you not think that the very being of pure evil would like to have that access? Everyone in your life has been after your soul at some point. Why would Dean be any different?”
“You’re lying again,” Zephaniah said, pressing the point of the angel blade against his chest.
Josiah tilted his head. “Am I? I mean, it all makes sense, doesn’t it? Crowley knew that if you had both The Mark and your soul, you would be unstoppable.” He pushed the blade away. “Zephaniah, you’ve had many heartbreaks in this life, I understand that. I hate to impose another on you, but Dean is just a pawn in all of this. It could have just as easily been Cain himself.”
Zephaniah was hurt and angry. Her heart felt as though it was shattering into a million pieces. Every moment with Dean flashed through her mind, moments that now meant nothing.
“So what’s it going to be?” Josiah pressed. “Are you going to help us or not?”
He was growing weary of her hesitation, that much was obvious. Zephaniah decided not to hesitate anymore; she knew exactly what she wanted to do in that moment.
Few things in her life had been as satisfying as the moment she plunged the angel blade into Josiah’s chest. The remaining vessel fell to the ground, and Zephaniah threw the angel blade on top of him.
With three dead bodies in her hotel room halfway around the world from the only home she had ever known, Zephaniah felt more lost than ever. Suddenly overcome with anxiety, she found her phone and dialed Dean.
“It’s me,” she greeted when the line connected. “I’m in Jerusalem.”
“Did you meet with your contact?” Dean asked.
Zephaniah couldn’t breathe. “It was a lie, Dean. It was all a lie. There is no relic, no cure. You and I –”
She broke then, into gasping sobs. Dean did the best he could to comfort her, but there wasn’t much he could do for her from the other end of a telephone line. The line went fuzzy and disconnected before Zephaniah could say anything else. Somewhere in her mind, Zephaniah knew she needed to find a way to tell him that she was okay, but hearing his voice had only made things worse.

The Unlucky One
Summary: Dean still has the mark, you and Sam have been doing everything that you can to get rid of it. Once you realized that the mark isn't going away without a price you accept that one day you could lose Dean to his inner darkness. Sam and Castiel are still looking for a cure and in the end it got Charlie killed. Dean goes to hunt down the Stein family, but will you be stuck in the crossfire? Dean went to hunt down the Stein's after Charlie's funeral and Sam went back to Cas, but you were feeling a little under the weather so you decided to stay in the bunker. Then you heard it. The sound of voices, familiar voices it was Eldon Stein and two other men with him. "Hello? Anybody in here?" You don't answer, but you do grab your gun and hide out till you come up with plan. "Alright then. Take whatever looks interesting, then burn the rest." You didn't know what to do. You thought of calling Dean or Sam, but of course your phone was dead. Then you remembered that Dean put the burner phones for hunts in the kitchen. In your head it was easy to get there, but in reality it wasn't. It would be easy getting pass the kid Cyrus, but not Eldon and Roscoe. You analyzed your situation and just bolted to the kitchen. You thought you got away smoothly, until you found the phones. Eldon spotted you as you started to dial Dean's number. You put up a good fight but Roscoe came from behind you and made sure you couldn't move. "Well what's a pretty girl like you hiding out for? Come, watch us burn down your home. Then we can have some real fun." "Yea - imma have to pass on that." "Too bad." Eldon nodded towards Roscoe then turned around to exit the room, but you wanted him to know Dean would find him. "You're all gonna die." "What was that?" Eldon asked as he turned back to you. "You heard me. You're. All. Going. To. Die. He will find you and then he will kill you. You have no chance." "Is that so?" "Yeah it is." "Ya know I was just gonna kill you but now I think we can use you as spare parts or even make you one of us. Then your precious Dean can kill you himself or suffer watching you be tortured." Before you could get another word out Eldon took out this black powder that smelled like lavender and blew it in your face. It knocked you out cold just enough for you to be tied up to a chair and gagged. Eldon, Roscoe and Cyrus continued to scope the bunker and take what they wanted. Roscoe went to check out the 'sex dongan' then Eldon came back with a box of Dean's stuff ready to burn. Roscoe comes into the library with a knife in his back, he's dead. Dean comes up covered in blood, but not of his. "Been looking for you." "Oh yeah? Why's that? Your still sore about um, what's her name?" "Charlie, her name was Charlie." "Chuckie, well she got what she deserved. Just like your girlfriend here is gonna get. Wanna know what I'm gonna do-" Dean quickly looked over to you tied up and knocked out. But returned to Eldon with no emotion. "Shut up." "Straight to it then. I respect that. See my old man-" "Your old man's dead. They're all dead. So you can save me the speech on the three hearts, the two spleens, the seven nipples for the ladies... or the fellas, I don't judge. But even with all that you still only have one brain." "So?" Dean shot Eldon point blank in the head then did the same to Cyrus. Castiel comes in seeing what Dean had done. "Dean. What have you done?" "I took down a monster. That's what I do and I will continue to do so until..." "Until you become the monster." "You can go now Cas. I have to take care of Y/N. Those dicks did something to her and now I have to take care of it." "No." Castiel tried to show Dean what he did was wrong and that they found a cure for the mark, but of course it would come with a price. Dean tried ignoring him, but Cas tipped him to his breaking point. Dean began attacking Castiel. You wake up to the point where you see Dean coming up from Castiel's body. Your first instinct was that Cas was dead but you saw him look over at the angel blade stabbed into a book. Dean told Castiel to stay away from him then he came to get you. To be honest you were a little frightened as Dean came closer to you, but he no longer had rage in his eyes. His rage turned into worry for you. "Hey Y/N! Y/N! It's okay I'm here." "What - what happened to the Stein's?" "I did what I had to do." "You killed them?" "They got what was coming." "Okay Dean." You said with a bit of anger and exhaustion from being tied up. "Babe I'm not going to argue with you about this. It's been a long day I just want to make sure they didn't hurt you." "Okay" Later that night your still under the weather and even worse from what the Stein's did to you and Dean tells you that he's gonna leave you. "I'm gonna make a deal." "What?" "I can't keep doing this Y/N. The mark - it's taking over. And sooner or later I'm gonna go to the dark side and I don't want you to suffer." "Dean-" "Please don't, I already made up my mind. I love you so much no matter what remember that. Please don't tell Sam where I am." Dean was about to leave, but you stop him. Not to make him stay but to have him drop you off to your parents. You couldn't be around Sam if you had to lie to him. Plus maybe seeing family would ease the pain of losing Dean and whatever had taken over your body lately. Dean dropped you off and went to sell himself to Death. You were with your parents when you realized what's been going on. "Mom! Dad!" "Sweetie what are you doing here? What's wrong?" You didn't say anything, you just ran into your mothers arms and started crying. Then ran to the bathroom and threw up. "Honey are you alright." "Yea, I'm- I'm-" You couldn't get the last word out before you collapsed onto the floor as black smoke started coming up from the ground. You knew it had to do with Dean, but it would be days till you woke up and found out what had happened. "Is she alright? What happened?" You heard Dean's husky voice in a panic. "She's fine Dean. They're both fine." "Both? You mean-" "I'm pregnant." You said as you came out of the hospital room. "Y/N are you alright?" "I guess. I mean my husband who was going to to make a deal with Death is here and now I seem to be pregnant. So yeah I guess I'm alright." "God I love you." Dean says as he walks towards you and kisses you passionately. "What happened? How long was I out?" "Three days your mom said. God I'm so sorry I wasn't here and now..." "And now what? Does this have to do with the black smoke I saw coming out of the ground?" "Yes." Dean explained to you what had happened while you were out. That the mark was removed but the Darkness was unleashed and that he was connected to her. "Mrs. Winchester?" "Yes?" "Um we got some test back about why you fainted. Is this your husband?" "Yes - yes I am." "Alrighty then, you fainted because your stress level was so high. It's normal being that you've been pregnant for about three months now, but-" "Hold on three months? I didn't even know I was pregnant. I've had my period. And I'm on the pill." "Spotting can occur during the duration of a pregnancy. I do suggest that you stop taking the pill while pregnant, as it may harm the fetus. Even though you are not registered to this hospital I am going to make another appointment for you to check up on your health and please take it easy. Make your husband do all the heavy lifting." "Okay, thank you doctor." You leave the hospital and go back to the bunker with Dean. On the way back you couldn't help just holding your stomach and thinking how right, but wrong it was that you were pregnant. "So..." "So what? Y/N what's up? I know something's wrong. Tell me." "It's just... how can I have a child. We're not ready for this. Especially now that we have to deal with this Darkness. I mean really Dean we can't raise a child when we have so much more to do." "Y/N we'll get through this, we always do. Don't worry about it okay. I find this a blessing, that we can have a family. And yes the timing is crapy, but I wouldn't change this for the world. I'm here, Sam's here your not going to be alone. And if you think this is some kind of burden on me because I know your facial expressions and I know you think it is it's not. I love you so much much okay," "Okay I just don't want anything to happen. We go through so much sacrifice that I feel that something-" "Hey don't think like that. Remember what the doctor said no heavy lifting. Only relaxation for you for the next 6 months." "Fine." You and Dean get back to the bunker, Sam is cleaning the mess Dean had made a few days ago. He see's Dean holding you up the stairs as you hold your stomach. "What happened? Y/N are you alright?" You look over to Dean in a nod of approval. "Yea we're fine." "We're?" "How does uncle sound to you Sammy?" "Uncle? You mean?... Congrats guys." Sam says as he runs up to you with a bear hug. "Okay okay Sam take it easy. Y/N needs to relax for the next 6 months even with what's going on now." "Got it! Nothing but research for you." "Oh god." The next three months are rocky the Darkness is God's sister and she wants Dean to become one with her. You don't like the sound of it and with your hormones it's even worse. Cas said yes to Lucifer. This is all to much for you. You come waddling down the stairs while Dean and Sam try to come up with a plan to take down Amara. But something's not right because as you are coming down the stairs you see blood dripping. "DEAN!" "Y/N?! What's up? What's wrong?" Dean and Sam run to you with their guns. "I need to be taken to the hospital. Right now! Something's not right Dean. I'm bleeding." "Sam get the keys." "Dean" "God damnit Sam! Get the keys, now!" Sam ran to get the keys as Dean lifted you up to the impala. Not even caring about the seats he makes Sam drives as he stays in the back with you. You feel pain all over, but try to calm down. "Listen to me. Babe you're gonna be fine okay you're both gonna be fine." Dean had you believing that you were gonna be alright, but he had the feeling that something bad had happened. You get to the hospital and the doctor had to put you under right away to take your baby out. It wasn't early labor you had gone into you have had a miscarriage of a baby girl. You and Dean decided beforehand not to know the sex of the baby so you could be surprised, but this had made it even more devastating because you both longed for a girl. When you had woken up from the surgery you couldn't believe that your baby girl was taken from you. Why if God was out there hearing your prayers had he taken this precious baby from you. For a month you had gone through emotions you never thought you would have. You cried and punched your way through the loss. Dean did the same and that made it worse, but over time you both realized that loss is a part of who you are. There is obviously no way of knowing what will happen and if you will ever have a kid again, but right now all that mattered was taking down Amara. Chuck had finally shown up and revealed himself as God. Sam was amazed, but you and Dean were not at ease. "Why?" Dean had asked Chuck "Why what?" "You see all this. Tragedy, war, disease, death and yet you do nothing. I mean not to be rude here, but people pray to you man and you just sat there and did nothing - nothing. I don't know how you do it." "I saw everything Dean and I'm sorry I wasn't there for it but man needed to depend on it's self." "For what? For people to suffer from heartbreak and loss?" You interrupted. "I know you blame me for what happened Y/N, but there was no way of me knowing when that was going to happen. For that I am sorry." "Yeah me too." "Listen you're the only one whose taken down Amara can you do it again?" "I would need the help of Lucifer and the rest of the arc angels, but they're still torn out of shape. It would take to long for them to regain their power." "Then we make our own army." Casifer and Crowley handle the demons and angels, Rowena and the coven cast a spell and you all try to take down Amara. But the plan failed, hurting Chuck meaning God was going to die. After almost giving up you come up with a plan. A plan that would be far to insane for someone to live. Dean was going to be a bomb of souls and kill Amara. You and Sam did not like the idea, but it was the only one you had. "Dean don't do this. Please." "I have to." "I can't lose you too. Not after everything." "You'll have Sam and Cas to take care of you." "...Fine" You go to Dean and Sam's mothers grave before Dean's suicide mission to say goodbye. You would be strong for him but on the inside you were torn apart. After a while Chuck disappeared and the sun was put back in place. Which only meant that Dean's plan worked. You, Sam and Cas went back to the bunker Cas wanted to make sure you were okay and you were. You accepted the fact that what Dean did saved the world AGAIN and that you would be okay without him because you had family and family doesn't end in blood, but would it pay for the price of yours and Sam's? A woman from the British Men Of Letters came to the bunker and vanished Castiel leaving you, her and Sam. She had a gun, you didn't think she would pull the trigger until you heard the gun shot.

Smitten Kittens
Long Time No See;;
Angie and Dean meet when he is hunting without Sam, both hunters working on a same case, a nest of nest vampires. [timeline: season 5]
From there on out, Angie occasionally teams up to help Dean, or both of the brothers on a few of their cases, this carrying on for quite some time. [timeline: season 5 to some time onwards]
Dean and Angie kept professional boundaries, though shared late nights and their fit flirtatious manners constantly testing their professionalism, hashtag oops?
One night of unprofessionalism. Angie realizes she had grown attached, and far too attracted to Dean. Resulting Angie to flee with a single note to Dean, without ever saying goodbye. Cue leaving her feeling guilty, Dean thinking one night was all she needed from him. [season 7 timeline, early season???]]
Feelings were hella mutual, though they never spoke them aloud.
Marked And Bound;;
Sam and Dean come across with Angie while working on a case related to Abaddon. A case related to people ending up soulless, enough to attract attention of many hunters. [9x17]
While meeting Sam and Dean going out to their own war, Angie has only heard rumors of someone big and bad, not knowing the entire story.
Dean is already with the mark and the blade has been found, although the Blade is behind, while the Winchesters are in search to find Abaddon.
While continuing to work with them and to help in their search, Angie realizes Sam and Dean are hiding something from her, lying to her. Confrontation happens when she walks in on Dean clearly /not okay/, and after witnessing him on a hunt taking great pleasure in killing a vampire to a heated leading conversation, cue angst. ALL OF THE ANGST. [somewhere after 9x19]
Angie is there when they kill Abaddon, witnessing the brutal nature of the Mark and how it is affecting Dean. After this Angie continues to try to help them, and especially Dean, to cope with his Mark after learning what is happening to him.
Angie is not there when Metatron stabs him to death, though she receives a stressed call from Sam, telling her to come to Bunker and what happened to Dean. When Angie finally arrives, Dean’s body is already gone and it leaves the two hunters confused and grief written.
All Souls Lost;;
Due to his little death Dean has turned into a demon and riding it alongside Crowley. In the meanwhile, Sam and Angie are together trying to find out what happened to Dean due to his Houdini stunt. Sam and Angie try to find Dean together, eventually leading them to Dean just like in the show.
While Sam and Dean are trying to find out what happened to Dean or to his corpse, Crowley has been taunting and tested Dean about his loyalty by putting thoughts inside Dean’s head, telling the two are looking for him and that he should get rid of the package of them on their backs, he’s even planted a thought into Dean’s head about Sam and Angie being more than just a tag team to find Dean.
Angie and Sam find out that Dean is a demon and with Crowley just in the way it is written on the show, except there’s no Cole to mess things up for them. Just like in the show, Crowley sells Dean out to Sam and Dean and tips the town Dean’s gone off to, Angie finds Dean just before Sam is able to get there.
While Angie calls Sam that she had found Dean, Sam tells they should go in together and for Angie to wait for him to get there, but of course that’s not what Angie does and she goes in to confront him despite knowing the risks because love makes her a fool. Going for him, little cat and mouse play happens and whatnot, they talk and Dean is. all for taunting the blonde until there’s a wee fight between the two, even offering Dean a chance to off Angie but his teensy bit of humanity and feelings for her stops him from doing so, eventually, just at this time Sam eventually comes in the middle of and is able to cuff and contain Dean. Moving to the Bunker.
There could be a scene shared between Angie and Dean while Sam is out there getting the blood work they need for purifying him. This is hella Dean trying to manipulate her and just be hella rude to her feels, though this is also when Angie no longer takes none of that shit and Dean is unable to take her off her guard at least for the most part. Dean is all there taunting Angie about the thing she’s agreed to do when Sam in order to find Dean, she may have not been all involved in everything, but her haands aren’t clean from it either, while he could also get to taunt her about the little, vague slip about her feelings for him that she made when she first came across with the demon bean.
After Sam and Angie began to inject Dean with blood to purify him (we spoke she’d even be the one to give him his first shot like the bad ass boss she is because Dean has made her frustrated and angry). Maybe because we don’t have Hanna, and Castiel is getting weaker, Angie at one point leaves the Bunker to get Cas since he’s getting close but also worse.
Canon events go down, Crowley getting some grace into Cas and Dean escaping and the games, shit goes down, Angie gets to Cas just in time to witness Crowley putting the holy spirit into Cas, and after Angie and Cas pop back into the Bunker just in time to stop Dean from killing Sam.
It Is Time For Purification;;
Angie is still around when Dean turns into a human, though she bolts almost right away after making sure Dean is alive and considerably well. She’s not in the room when Dean returns back to himself, she’s angsting outside the closet room. This time Angie doesn’t just leave without saying goodbye, so there’s that awkward ‘I’m glad you are okay.’ line with an extreme poker face and then kbye exits with an excuse, probably all of the lingering by Dean room’s doorframe.
How bad was it while Dean was a demon? He would probably think she wants nothing to do with him, if it was hella bad? While she has somehow convinced herself that Dean doesn't have any feelings for her, especially after her slip. Hashtag babes are angsting.
Angie eventually returns back to the boys after being away for a wee while, her reason to return would probably be Sam calling to her and telling her that Dean’s once again acting on his Mark. All this time she’s probably been low key keeping up with how Deans’ doing through Sam, Sam trying to convince her to return even earlier, but she’s been full of excuses.
Reunion happens though, we talked about the hug which spokes for all is forgiven and forgotten though still not talked about??? Things basically continue like they used to, Angie is occasionally present while they’re trying to find a way to get rid of Dean’s mark aside from Dean bean tryna suppress the aggression and hunt. Big part once again comes in Angie serving Dean distraction and looking out for him, witnessing his nightmares and also not sleeping very much due sometimes watching over him when he’s having nightmares (all this without Dean knowing just how much she’s there).
Once Sam and Dean discover the Book of the Damned, Angie is called in again, and after them canon events, Angie begins helping Sam in his attempts to hide it from Dean. Angie is both babysitting Charlie and Rowena, but also keeping Dean occupied while Sam is doing the runs to keep the situation under control.
We’re back to the canon event transcript with the Stein fam coming after the book while Angie is present in the room, Charlie dies like she did canonically while the creep fam captures Angie because they think that is their way to get the book in a form of trade, and probably in the means to slice and dice her.
Dean busts in rolling and saves the day, but he is also too far gone and almost completely taken over by the Mark, which is when Angie witnesses his merciless slaughter fest. Although Dean frees Angie and they leave the mansion of the psycho fam together, they wound up having a heated argument about Angie keeping secrets from Dean, doing things behind his back like Sam had been doing and about everything that comes to Sam and Angie’s attempts to save Dean from the Mark. They part ways after the argument.
During a time jump takes place Cas/Dean facing each other off like they canonically did in the Bunker upon Dean’s return to see the damage, that’s when Dean flees to hunt alone and Deal with his problems not so splendidly, eventually realizing there’s no fighting the Mark and. he comes with his own solution to get rid of it.
Angie and Sam go on a search to find Dean once again after they hear a rumor about his brutal hunting ventures, after witnessing what Dean’s left behind him, they separately go to search for Dean across the town as they believe to cover more ground that way; this is how Angie finds Dean first, just about to leave to give himself to Death in order to stop himself from doing any more damage.
This is where their conversation takes place, Angie begs Dean not to do it while trying to convince that they find another way. Dean, however, is not convinced by her initial speech, which is when Angie is desperate and lays it all out of him, her feelings for him and going beyond begging while trying to make his stay. Dean responds to her feelings, though he lets Angie believe she’s gotten through to him, the two share a very emotional moment with Dean ending up taking advantage of the moment and knocking Angie out just so he can go to give himself to Death.
Basically, the scene with Death follows, while Angie wakes up realizing what Dean’s gone to do, and she thinks that’s it; Dean is gone because he went through his plan. Little does she know about what’s actually going down between Death, Dean and Sam.
The next time they meet one another after Sam has called Angie to let her know that Dean alive and the Mark is gone, but something else happened instead with a mysterious black smoke and infected people attacking innocent people, and of course, at this point they are only vaguely aware that Amara is out and.

My Super Special Awesome Sauce Supernatural Re-Watch -- Season 1 Episode 5, Bloody Mary
Welcome to my Supernatural Re-Watch project in which I'm re-watching every episode of Supernatural. Why? Because I want to. I've kind of made a name for myself in the Shadowhunters fandom for my love-hate relationship with the Freeform show. So I thought, hey, since I'm reviewing a sub-par show that constantly disappoints me (Shadowhunters), I should also review a show that I love. This way, when I'm critical of Shadowhunters, my audience can get an understanding of where I come from. What it is I look for in good story telling. Or they could think I'm a hypocritical idiot. Either way, I'm doing this. And also, I love Supernatural and I'm really just looking for an excuse to watch the show and then talk about it. Here we have Season 1 Episode 5, Bloody Mary. As always, these are my own thoughts and opinions. Please respect them and please no spoilers for Season 13 as I have not seen any of it yet.
RECAP
This episode kicks off with a teaser opening of some pre-teen girls having a slumber party and proceeding to play Bloody Mary. I'm sure most of you know how the Bloody Mary game works but in case you don't, I'll go over what happens. One of the girls is dared to go into the bathroom and say Bloody Mary three times. Theoretically, if you do this, it'll summon Bloody Mary and then she'll proceed to scratch your eyes out. But what happens here is one of the girls summons Bloody Mary but it's actually her father that dies the horrendous death.
We move on to Sam laying in the car and having a nightmare about Jess' death. Which has been an ongoing thing throughout the previous episodes. Dean asks if Sam had a nightmare and Sam jokingly responds that at least he's getting some sleep now even if he is having nightmares. The two pick up this case in Toledo, Ohio and visit the morgue to find out how the victim from the teaser died. After some small scale bribing (there's a life lesson for you, kids, if at first you can't get the information you need, you're totally within your rights to bribe a public official), the resident shows them the body and tells them the guy most likely had a stroke as bleeding from the eyes can happen with strokes. Sam and Dean move on to visit the wake at the victim's house and they hear from the daughter that her father is dead because she said Bloody Mary. Everyone is quick to tell her that couldn't be possible. Bloody Mary is just an urban myth, after all. Thankfully, urban myths are our heroes’ specialty.
Sam and Dean check out the bathroom where the man died but are eventually caught by a girl named Charlie. And no, this is not Felicia Day Charlie. Felicia Day Charlie doesn't show up until Season 7. I'm sure it's pure coincidence that both of these characters were named Charlie as they’re not too terribly similar. Charlie agrees not to say anything so the boys can continue on with their investigation. Later on, another girl named Jill, summons Bloody Mary but instead of someone else getting the hit, Jill is actually the next victim. The boys are understandably baffled by what's going on in this town. People are summoning Bloody Mary and some of those people are dying and sometimes other people are. It eventually makes sense when Charlie sneaks them into Jill's room and they take a black light to the mirror the summoning happened at. They find a name written. After some research, they find that the name that was written was the name of an 8-year-old kid killed by a hit-and-run. Charlie realizes that the party responsible was Jill.
This spurs the Winchesters to check the mirror at the first victim's house. Sure enough, it's the name, Linda Shoemaker. The victim's wife. The Winchesters are lead to believe that the first victim killed his wife and this caused Bloody Mary to kill him just as she killed Jill for the hit-and-run.
Sam and Dean do some research and realize that the origin of Bloody Mary started in a town in Indiana where her dead body was found in front of a mirror. They talk to the now retired police officer and ask him for what he thinks happened. He believes that Mary was killed by a man she was having an affair with. She was going to tell everyone about the affair but the man killed her before she could. In her last dying breath, she tried to write out her killer's name in blood on the mirror she dies in front of. That's how Mary chooses her victims. It's not necessarily the summoner who gets it, it's if after the summoning, she sees someone who has a secret about the death of someone. Because she couldn't expose her killer, she now feels like she needs to expose other killers. Now, Sam and Dean are still a little confused with Mary popping up in multiple mirrors. If she can really do this, why isn't this happening wherever or whenever people play Bloody Mary? It's a pretty common thing to do at sleepovers. I, myself, played it a few times growing up. They find out that the mirror Mary died in front of was just recently sold to an auction house in Toledo, the city where the deaths started. So this started happening because the mirror was moved to Toledo.
Meanwhile, one of Charlie's friends summons Bloody Mary and now Mary is out for Charlie. Charlie begins seeing Mary everywhere there's a reflection. Charlie calls the Winchesters for help. They take her to their hotel room and cover everything that could give off a reflection. Charlie then has to come clean about her past. After all, Mary wouldn't be bothering her if she didn't have a pretty big secret. Charlie reveals that she had a boyfriend she cared about but sometimes she was scared of him. One day she decided to walk out on him and he threatened to kill himself if she did. She walked out and he killed himself. Not really her fault but as Sam says, "Spirits don't exactly see in shades of grey." Charlie had a secret where someone died and that's good enough for Mary.
The boys leave Charlie in the hotel room under strict orders to not look at anything that could give off a reflection and they're now off to the auction house. On the way there, we get some nice Winchester drama. Sam brings up that it may not be enough to simply smash Mary's mirror. That since she moves through multiple mirrors, they need to be sure she's actually in her mirror before smashing it. Sam suggests he summons her to the mirror and Dean flips his lid. Dean doesn't like his brother being bait and he's also sick of watching Sam beat himself up and not being able to help his brother with this. Jess' death is slowly destroying Sam and Dean doesn't know how to fix it and he's frustrated. Dean also points out that this plan isn't going to work as Dean knows about Jess' death and the secret part is the only thing Mary cares about. Sam replies that there's a secret he hasn't told Dean about Jess’ death.
They go to the auction house, Sam summons Mary, he almost dies (the secret being he had nightmares of Jess's death days before it happened) and Dean smashes the mirror. But instead of this killing Mary, it actually sets her free. Because her dying in front of a mirror caused her soul to be trapped there and now that the mirror is broken, she can now roam freely without mirrors. As she tries to kill Sam and Dean with her weird psychic eye-ball liquifying powers, Dean picks up a mirror, points it at Mary and now Mary is having to answer to herself pretty much for all the people she's killed and this causes her to pass on. Karma's a bitch. Dean then breaks the mirror and the two leave town the next day after knowing that this whole mess is resolved and Charlie is safe.
Thoughts
Supernatural in it's many, many episodes goes through a variety of genres. And of all the episodes that has a horror themed genre, this episode is probably my favorite. They took a new spin on the Bloody Mary legend, the characters arcs in here were great, and this episode really plays like a horror film just condensed into 42 minutes. The musical score is very horror centric, the way this episode is shot is very reminescent of horror films. And how do I know this episode succeeded in what it was trying to do? The fact that I am going to be scared to death of looking at my reflection for the rest of today. Seriously, the first time I ever saw this episode, I was freaked out. And to make matters worse, I was living in a dorm room at the time so there was literally no place I could look that didn't give off some sort of reflection. I live in an apartment now so I have more options but still, I'm a little creeped out.
I really like the Winchester drama that plays out in this episode. Honestly, this is probably the first episode where it didn't really feel like the drama was being too terribly shoe-horned in. With this episode, I feel like the writers were starting to figure out the formula. And what's the best way to deal with Winchester drama? Have them work a case that's symmetrical to their issues so therein they have to deal with it. And this episode does a really good job with it. It deals with death and feeling responsibility for death which is what's going on with Sam. He's falling apart because he can't find a way to get through this, to get away from his guilt. But in helping Charlie, he's able to find at least a little bit of closure in it. That by accepting sometimes bad things happen and there's nothing you can do about it. And then we also have Dean who so desperately wants to help Sam but he doesn't know how because he can't really understand it because Sam is keeping secrets from him.
Favorite Quotes
"Do I look like Paris Hilton?" I love pop culture references, what can I say?
(Dean looks at all the broken mirrors) "All of these mirrors, it's what? 600 years bad luck?" Perhaps this is why they're about to suffer through 13 years of crappiness. Although, through that crappines, they are going to eventually meet their best friend, Castiel, so maybe luck is subjective here. Destiel fans, stow your torches and pitch forks please. I do ship Destiel, just in a different way. I'll get to it once it becomes applicable in this re-watch.
"Sometimes bad things just happen." I talked about it earlier but I just like this line in what it represents for Sam's character arc in this episode.
"Some secrets I need to keep to myself." And here begins the long tradition of Winchesters keeping secrets from each other. Seriously, if these two would stop keeping secrets from each other, they could avoid so many mishaps that occur in future season. But if they did that, we wouldn’t have their man-pain that we love them for.
There you have it. That's Bloody Mary for you. I'd give this episode a B+. It's a solid episode. It's probably my favorite episode within the horror genre that Supernatural does. It's great and I love it regardless of how badly it freaks me out.
So if you have any thoughts on the episode, I'd love to hear it. Just be respectful of everyone and their opinions. Also, Destiel fans, if you're going to make a mean-spirited remark on me calling Castiel Dean's best friend here, just know I'm most likely going to ignore you. I'll get to how I ship Destiel once it becomes applicable and if you get all heated up here on this post, I'm just going to make you look stupid in later posts. So please, cool your jets. I do ship Destiel. No spoilers for Season 13, please.
