Burning Kabaddi Anime Adds Three More Cast Members to the Team
Ever since the initial announcement, cast additions have been trickling out for Burning Kabaddi (known in Japan as Shakunetsu Kabaddi), a TV anime adaptation of the hot-blooded sports manga by Hajime Musashino. Now we have three more on the team with the addition of Shinichiro Kamio, Wataru Komada, and Ayumu Murase.
The three VAs star as first-year Kabaddi Club students Nobutaka Ban, Ryuta Seki, and Yuuki Hitomo, respectively. Here's a look at their designs and a little more background on each addition.
Nobutaka Ban
VA: Shinichiro Kamio (Rio Mason Busujima in Hypnosis Mic)
Nobutaka Ban looks scary but is otherwise unassertive and has a very quiet voice. Like lead character Tatsuya Yoigoshi, he has a background in soccer and was a fan of Yoigoshi's in the past. He joined the Kabaddi Club after seeing it in action during a practice match.
Ryuta Seki
VA: Wataru Komada (Akiomi Kunugi in Ensemble Stars)
Ryuta Seki is a good communicator who made friends with fellow first-years Ban and Hitomi, and was invited to join the Kabaddi Club. As a former sumo wrestler who won a tournament years ago, he's quite the powerhouse.
Yuuki Hitomi
VA: Ayumu Murase (Ginro in Dr. STONE)
Yuuki Hitomi also joined the Kabaddi club after the practice match. He is often mistaken for a woman at first glance.
Previously revealed cast members include Yūma Uchida as Tatsuya Yoigoshi, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Masato Ohjyo, Gen Sato as Souma Azemichi, Makoto Furukawa as Kei Iura, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Kyouhei Misumi, and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Shinji Date.
The story of Burning Kabaddi follows Tatsuya Yoigoshi, a former soccer ace who gave up sports after graduating from middle school. One day Tatsuya is scouted by Masato Ohjyo, the captain of the Noukin High School kabaddi club. Tatsuya is convinced that kabaddi is just a joke, but his athletic instincts awaken when he attends a practice match and discovers that the sport is actually closer to a martial arts competition.

In This Corner of the World”.

Comedy Anime Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brings the Laughs in First PV
When Mikoi Sasaki, Aimi, and Ayasa Ito joined the cast of the Milky Holmes franchise, they probably had no idea what they were kicking off. But the trio, who billed themselves as Seiyu Sanshimai Team Y, would go on to become the focal point of Bushiroad's manga series Teppen—!!! — and, in turn, its upcoming anime adaptation.
Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! follows five trios of girls chasing their comedy dreams, with the Team Y-inspired group as the focal point. Check them out in action in the new PV:

That song you heard is "Teppen Tengoku ~TOP OF THE LAUGH!!!~," performed by the cast.
Speaking of the cast, a full list of characters and cast members has been released. Naturally, the trio who inspired the original manga are taking the lead, and the cast as a whole includes several familiar voices from other Bushiroad projects:

Yomogi Takahashi: Aimi (Kasumi Toyama in BanG Dream!)
Yuzu Hosono: Mikoi Sasaki (Royal Penguin in Kemono Friends)
Mako Shirakabe: Riko Kohara (Rokka Asahi in BanG Dream!)
Saeka Yabukita: Saika Kitamori (Riko Saginuma in PuraOre! Pride of Orange)
Hikari Jogasaki: Yūki Wakai (Iroha in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club)
Hina Kasama: Himari Hazuki (Saori Hidaka in D4DJ First Mix)
Miyu Komatsuzaki: Megu Sakuragawa (Tsubasa Kira in Love Live! School Idol Project)
Misao Ushiku: Moe Toyota (Kanon Matsubara in BanG Dream!)
Yuina Rokkatei: Nanae Kojima
Mone Ishiya: Aina Suzuki (Mari Ohara in Love Live! Sunshine!!)
Chihori Hokuto: Momoyo Koyama (Karen Aijō in Revue Starlight)
Iroha Akishika: Mayu Sagara (Kasumi Nakasu in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club)
Kana Kiyotsuru: Aina Aiba (Rockhopper Penguin in Kemono Friends)
Chitose Amano: Honoka Kuroki (Ruise Sanjō in Seiren)
And here they all are in a new key visual:
Shinji Takamatsu (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing) serves as Chief Director and Sound Director, with Toshinori Watanabe (Tokyo Ghoul:re) directing. Jun Kumagai (Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū) handles series composition, and Yoshiyuki Ōkubo (key animator, Symphogear) serves as character designer, working from the original manga by Inujun and Namamugi.
A website and Twitter account are now open for the series, and plans are underway for a live event at Tokyo's Nakano Sun Plaza.
Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is scheduled to premiere in Japan in July 2022.
