I wish I knew how to draw birds bc I have so many ideas for how I want Phoenix!Phoenix and Phoenix!Ryunosuke to look but animals in general are hard and I feel like I can never quite get the results that I want no matter how much I try and one of these days it's going to drive me crazy

#i drew a bird ONCE and i didn't love how it turned out #anyway you know how animals can have vitiligo/ partial abinism? I think it would be cool if the Phoenix had that but with different colors #like black-blue-purple and a more classic red-orange-gold #it would go with the heterochromia hc that is super popular for Phoenix and I want to do a less dramatic version with Ryuu #idk i think I'll have to make a moodboard and find a bird artist and give them money #i just don't know how to find artists that specialize in birds and fantasy vibes specifically #i hate having ideas that are way way past my skill level #you know how the phoenix typically has two long peacock-like tailfeathers? i want one to be blue-black and one to be red-orange #it would be cool...
