This is not happening any time soon, but if I were to write a Wordpress blog about oni, would you guys follow me there
#I collect oni lore like spare change#but I don't typically bring it up here because I see how Gotouge drew from folklore themes but made oni something distinct to this universe#so even though it's fun to find similarities I don't find them direct homage worth treating as meta#BUT ALSO#it would be nice to have a nerdy project that I can actually share with people who know me irl#I mention here and there that I âi blog about Japanese culture as seen in KnYâ but I don't actually want to share it#BECAUSE I MAKE FANWORK#ya know???#but also like#if I were to do a new project which could hopefully eventually lead to publishing a book for a wide audience#it would be very nice to start with an encouraging reader base

Whenever Spotify Wrapped releases, it reminds me of this project I've been thinking about for a while.
And now, The StoryGraph released its version of wrapped for the year (at the actual end of the year, as god intended) and I always think I read a lot less than I used to when I was younger.
Except...I still read on ao3. And I am, at heart, a stats nerd, (see me: nerding out about TSG graphs) so I've always wanted to analyse my ao3 reading history. I've seen people make their own version of ao3 wrapped, but I like having comprehensive stats, so instead of doing any of my actual coding work, I made my own version (with maybe too many stats and graphs according to my horrified non-coding friends I showed this to).
And I figured that there would be some folks out there who are as nerdy about this as I am and would appreciate it as well. So I made the code shareable and hopefully something that anyone can run.
So without further ado, here is my ao3 wrapped:
https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1DikTD0T9YjwPAL-Z3DTD8bdkM5fk_TS9?usp=sharing#scrollTo=cdaded40
Some things that my code can do:
scrape your data from Ao3 and organise it in a nice neat table you can download and keep
allow you to pick a time period
sample a random fic you read from that time period
look at the total number of fics you read, and what percentage of those have been deleted
look at how many works are on your 'Marked for Later' list and see information (top fandom and top characters) about them
show you graphs of the percentage of fics you read with each type of warning, rating, and ship type, as well as your ratio of completed works read
show you the last time you viewed a fic compared with the last time it was updated
the number of fics read over time (sorted by years, months or days depending on whether you are looking at all time, a certain year, or certain month respectively)
analyse the number of words you read and words read over time (similar to fics read over time)
identify your top 20 authors, fandoms, relationships, characters and tags
dynamically choose and plot the changes to your top 10 authors, fandoms, relationships, characters and tags over the time period (by years, months or days depending on the initial overview, similar to , read over time)
see how the rankings of your top 5 have changed from the previous time peroiod, and check the ranking of a specified author/fandom/ship/character/tag in that previous time period
So anyways, have fun!
#ao3#ao3 wrapped#they won't give it to us#(which is fair enough i suppose)#but that just means I have to make my own#hey how much time did you spend on this?#don't worry about it#isn't there such a thing as too many graphs? did you really need this many graphs?#no next question

VELVETTE HEADCANNONS!
Not my usual post, but I thought I'd share! Have fun reading :)
⥠(if it wasn't obvious enough) She's a lesbian! I love the little girl-liker third wheel to a mlm couple (vox and val) her and the other vees have going on, plus the velvette x verosika art i see is ALWAYS so beautiful!
⥠referring to this post below:
She owns corsets (yet doesnt use them much because LOOK AT THAT WAIST), and one or two have definitely been stolen....by both of her male conterparts.
⥠She sews! Not ALL the time, since she's busy doing things like running shows and doing photoshoots, but I feel like it'd be a little something nice to do in her free time. Blasting some music while tailoring a new coat or something.
⥠She only wears the same colors. I know this is a little obvious from the few outfit changes she has in the show, but imagine it. A large walk-in closet filled with ONLY pink, purple, white and black. (And perhaps a singular green christmas sweater.) They're not ALL just dresses and jackets, she has pants and t-shirts too. She just likes to dress femme and throws in a masc/more casual outfit from time to time.
⥠She has a diverse music taste. I might me self-projecting here a bit, but I think it'd be pretty cute to see hee listening to different types of music. Like listening to something metal/punk when wearing an 'emo' outfit (one thst consists of mostly black) or some pop/r&b when dressing up in her normal dress-and-tights- combo. It helps her get in the mood.
⥠She has a close relationship with Vox and Valentino. This is also shown in the actual show, seeing how docile they are around eachother, but I imagine the boys and Vel having a brother-sistertjust generally close relationship, like Val and Vel would talk shit and go shopping one day or Vox and Vel talking about the shoots they're doing/planning on doing and having their nails done together. (Painting Vox's claws or sharpening them since he doesn't really have nails.)
⥠She's a little nerdy. I'm not talking about book-nerd, more likke a genuinely-invested-in-fashion-and-knows-about-its-history nerd. Like she'll read up on magazines or articles about how the kitten heel came to be or fun facts about the creator of a specific clothing brand she likes. She doesn't bring it up often, more of a random thing she'll drop into a conversation to keep it going. Also, since she's on her phone all the time, I think she'd be a little bit of a tech wiz like Vox. Like he'll give her a prototype for a new V-Phone and ask her about any bugs or special features. She'll evaluate it and Vox would give her his credit card for a day as a thank you.
⥠She has a major sweet tooth. I'm not saying she's constantly eating candy, given her figure and those crisp pearly whites, but whenever she's going out she'll get a milkshake or perhaps a little sweet treat at a local bakery. Not nicely, but still.
⥠Her full name, when she was still alive, was Veronica Barbie Hernandez, hinting at a latina/mexcian background. Her friends usually called her by her middle name or just Barb, since she had (and still does) such an affliction for having cute outfits and wearing pink. (I might draw her aswell as the rest of the vee's as humans, who knows)
⥠She has a doll body. This is a bit of a short one, but since she's based of a doll like Vox is a TV and Valentino is a moth, she has a plastic-y, smooth doll body. Specifically a ball-jointed doll body. (She can also pop off her limbs and/or head with little to no pain, using it to scare the boys during halloween or whenever she feels like it.)
⥠She's in her early 30s-late 20s, Vox and Val being around 30-40.
⥠She has 2 cats, one white cat named PomPom, and one tabby cat named Spike.
⥠Her favorite musicals are Heathers and Hairspray. (heathers fans hmu)
⥠Despite being known as 'the girly one', she grew up with 2 brothers. Both are dead and are running around somewhere in Hell, probably.
⥠She helps pick out outfits for the boys, despite them wearing (like almost every other male character) suit-like attire. She LOVES trying on dresses with Val, though.
⥠She goes out often. To shop, get food, get drunk, or to just walk around town and blog for her live feed. God forbid you bump into her though, especially if she's holding a drink (or just anything that could spill on her/something expensive she bought dropping onto the ground). She'll EXPLODE.
That's all for now! Feel free to ask for more or just anything else <3

girl who is this "My Guy" you speak of in your tags đđđđđ
ohoho do i have a story to tell you, my friend :D
basically, i'm experiencing the "slow burn friends to lovers" trope, and it is both amazing and infuriatingly agonizing. fair warning, this is going to a looooong post, so jump to the end if you want the short version.
it all started back in the spring, after i got accepted to a performing arts college, and specifically to their first-year study abroad program in Spain. i was so pumped, and determined to make friends before college started, so i found one of those [college name] class of 27 instagram accounts and as people's intros were posted, made it a point to follow and dm anyone else who said they would also be doing their first year abroad. *sigh* yes, i was shamelessly sliding into people's dms. but strictly with the purpose of friendship! anyways, this Boy's picture and little intro paragraph gets posted to the account, and he says he's in the study abroad program, so i dm him, as had become my custom -- it's a very simple "hi nice to meet you" exchange -- and he follows me back.
a few weeks later, my photo and little intro paragraph get posted to the account, and he sends me a dm. he's like "IT'S YOU" and i'm like "IT IS!" and he's like "you have such a good voice!" (because there was a video of me singing in my post) and i'm like "thank you!" and he's like "you are MOST welcome." and then, because in my intro i had mentioned that i'm a total nerd, he also says "and don't worry, i'm a nerd too." this is word-for-word accurate, by the way -- i just checked. so we messaged for a good while, bonding over nerdy topics.
a couple days later he replied to my instagram story and we had another mini nerd-out moment, and then a couple days after that i mustered up the courage to message him and ask if he might be interested in working on some creative projects together once the school year started. that was the conversation that really broke the ice, because after that, we were messaging back and forth every single day, talking about anything and everything, getting to know each other and quickly realizing that we had a lot in common. actually, the second thing we bonded over after our shared nerdiness was that we were both liberal/progressive Christians who didn't love Christian media. and we fell in love right then and there... just kidding, there's much more to the story ;)
anyways! we became really close over the summer because we talked to each other so much. now so far i only saw him as a very good friend, because i had a massive crush on a girl (who i never confessed my feelings to, but i'm pretty sure she's straight anyway. canon bisexual experience, i guess) that he was very aware of because i told him about her. i wasn't really looking at any boy as someone i'd potentially be interested in, and i was just so thrilled to have found a new best friend that i connected with and who i'd get to see every day at college. i actually said, in conversation with a different friend of mine that "i've seen who i'll be going to college with, and i can assure you, i'm not going to have a crush on any of these people." yeah, right. famous last words.
but the plot thickens. as the summer drew to a close, it started looking like i wouldn't be able to study abroad or attend this college at all because of tuition costs, and i was really, really sad. but honestly, what i was most sad about was that i wouldn't get to meet him in person just yet and would have to wait a whole year until he was at this college's US campus, which happens to be about an hour from where i live (his home state is quite far away from mine, so our friendship had developed entirely through the internet). i told him the news, that i wouldn't be joining him at college, and he was also sad because he was also super excited to meet me, but we agreed that we'd stay in touch and meet up in person someday, somehow.
summer ended, we kept talking, he left for Spain, and we still kept talking. however, there was a subtle shift in the tone of our conversations sometime after he arrived there, which is to say we started flirting. not intentionally, mind you. it just happened, in between the "i miss you" and the "i wish you were here, we would've raised so much hell" the both of us started playfully flirting, and it was so natural i didn't even realize it was flirting until several weeks had passed (that may also be because i am an oblivious fool). just subtle little things, like i would say "hey :) i miss you" and he would say "you're making me blush," and then we would playfully tease each other and laugh about it. there was one occasion where i was having a really rough day and later on he sent me the sweetest text i have ever received in my life and told me i was one of his favorite people in the world :'))
around this time he also started screenshotting my selfies that i sent him over instagram chat, and i noticed. i started suspecting that maybe he was into me as more then a friend at that point (because when a guy screenshots your face, that means something, right?) but at this point i was still in the Denial Stage of my feelings so i decided to not read into it too much. i also hadn't been physically attracted to him at first sight, so i was like "he's Just A Guy!! there's no way i can have feelings for him, because i'm not into guys right now. i just love his personality and our dynamic. that's all." yeah, RIGHT. just keep telling yourself that, Belle.
we were in mid-september by this point, and we had called a few times since he's been in Spain, and during one jet-lagged conversation while mutually lamenting that we couldn't hang out in-person, he happened to mention that even if he wouldn't be in my area for another year, there was nothing stopping me from visiting him when he goes home to the states for Christmas and winter break. internally, i thought "HECK YEAH" but what i actually said was something like, "you know what, that's a good point," and after that the daydreams began in earnest, but because i'm an idiot i told myself these were still strictly platonic feelings. we treated the idea of me visiting him as a rather unserious thing at first ("oh i just said that because i was jet-lagged and delirious, don't worry about it haha" -- yeah right, buddy, you literally just told me you miss me), but i couldn't get the idea out of my head.
and then of course, as is the way of things, i'm lying awake at night, thinking about him, and all of a sudden it hits me and i realize the worst has happened: i had developed feelings. romantic ones. my first reaction was literally "well shit this is embarrassing. i am so screwed." it was a very strange realization too, because none of it was based on his looks. i had never looked at him and thought "damn he's hot," i simply... loved him. the whole person.
(i should probably clarify that this isn't me calling him ugly or anything. he is a very good-looking person, and i knew that, subconsciously, but it wasn't a thought that really took up space in my brain because i just hadn't been looking at him that way. and now i do think he's cute! but i had to come to terms with my crush first.)
after realizing this, my first thought was that i didn't want to say anything about my feelings to him and accidentally look like an idiot ("because what if there's a chance he doesn't like me?" girl be so fr) so we just kept talking and the flirting got more and more obvious. i also started screenshotting his photos to see what would happen. what happened was more playful teasing. we called again and got all flustered with each other because it was so hard not to spill the tea. the idea of me visiting him was brought up again, with a more... uh... suggestive undertone? it was amazing. it was also unbearable.
it all came to a light one day in late september. i had told myself i wouldn't say anything about my feelings until we met in-person, but by the way we were flirting, i should have known we wouldn't be able to wait that long.
in perhaps the most random fashion, it started because his BeReal caption was "i cried to this song last night. someday i'll reveal the story" and i got a little worried upon reading that. so i texted him "are you okay? i saw your BeReal and i thought i would check in." his reply was something like "OH MY GOSH i'm fine i cried because i was super high last night," which, like, a little mortifying that i momentarily forgot weed existed, but i'm glad you're okay.
but then a few minutes later, he says "why did you screenshot my BeReal?" and my brain froze. i couldn't think of a single way to deflect or change the subject this time, so i thought fuck it and told him exactly why: "because you looked cute."
he goes "aha! there it is" and i said, "for how long have you been trying to get me to say that?" and he said "a while. i've liked you for a while."
i won't relay the whole conversation that followed because it was very long and also quite personal, but after we'd calmed down a bit from the love confession, we talked seriously about whether it would be a good idea to be in a relationship, and what things were worrying us, pros and cons, etc etc, and what we came to was that he personally needed some time to think about it all, but we would still plan on me visiting him.
and here we are! we still haven't met in person, but we will eventually, and it's nothing official yet (it's honestly kind of a situationship except we actually do talk about our feelings) but there's a lot of love on both ends. and i'm just so happy to know him at all, because if i hadn't randomly decided to slide into his dms none of this would have happened, and that would be a shame. we may be overdue for another serious conversation about relationship stuff (the flirting and teasing has continued, in addition to our more normal conversations) but that's the story so far. now you know, if i mention "the boy" or my "kinda bf" or "my guy" who i'm referring to. i can't reveal his real name here because that feels like an invasion of privacy, but it starts with an A, and sometimes i refer to him that way too :)
tl;dr -- he is a guy that i met online through the college i had planned on attending but actually didn't, we became close friends and stayed in touch and eventually developed feelings, and admitted those feelings for each other, and now we are More Than Friends But Not Officially Together because we haven't met in-person yet, but hopefully soon.
#thank you for sending this ask because i had WAY too much fun answering it :p#took me a couple days because i'm drowning in homework and because i wanted to tell the story as best i could#yeah!! he was not on my 2023 bingo card but i'm very very glad he's in my life now#belle speaks#answered asks#stories of my life

hi! hope you're having an amazing day :)
though I just really want an answers to all the questions, unfortunately itâs not how it works, so hereâs my pick (still alot, so feel free to skip any)
dw: What is your favorite line that youâve written in a fic? Have a piece of a WIP you want to share? Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?
any fandom: What is your wildest headcanon? What led to your interest in the fandom? Why did you start writing fanfic? What inspires you and your writing? Â and any of these questions you personally really want to answer (?)
Thank you @vikrik for the well wishes. It's been a pretty decent day! Hope yours was, too. I'm going to answer all your questions to the best of my ability. So:
What is your favorite line that youâve written in a fic? This is hard, because you specified Doctor Who, and while I have been rereading some of my fics lately for⊠purposes, I tend to forget a lot. But, I snickered to myself when rereading this bit: âSo, now that I have your attention, welcome to the only planet in the universe where we get to say this: theyâre on the payroll.â
Rose frowned and then sighed. âI never did properly quit, did I?â
âI wouldnât have accepted your resignation even if you had.â Kate countered.
âStill earning a paycheck?â Rose asked, but Kate merely shushed her.
Have a piece of a WIP you want to share? I will be super nice, and share this little bit from Chapter 3 of the WIP I have going: âOh, that was heavy. Why so glum?â Miss asked, halting her tune immediately and turning on the bench to watch Rose set down the two cups and pastry bag on the table between the two chairs. She then made her way to the encasement, limbs heavy with annoyance as she went to free Missy from within. âGot to switch up bakeries in the next couple years,â She grumbled as she turned on her heel and headed for her preferred chair. âGettinâ to be recognized, which doesnât bode well for me.â âUse a perception filter,â Missy suggested with a wave of her hand as she came to join Rose. âOr just, you know, murder them a little bit.â Rose let out a surprised chuckle. âYeah, howâs that gonna get me my brekkie, then?â âI said a little bit,â Missy deadpannedâŠ.
Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend? I fandom hope a lot when I read, so it's been an age since I properly sat down and read some Who fic. That said, I'm going to be a bit of a bitch (in the best way) and give a shout-out to my bestie @g-b-m-s and their amazing fic "Ommision," which is my personal favorite of their Who fics, and I would love to see them finish, so you can read it and send lots of encouragement their way. :D
What is your wildest headcanon? I came back to this one last. I almost went with a "that's not really a headcanon" answer, but then it came to me: Dhawan!Master came before Missy. Yes, I know there's an explanation of how Missy wasn't the last one, but since it's in the comics or audio and not the show I'm counting it.
What led to your interest in the fandom? I have always had an interest in fandom in a way. There are two fandoms from my childhood I still hold dear. But I didn't really come into until I was an adult and discovered that there were people online who liked to talk about and celebrate these things as much as I did. I went from someone who was sort of sheltered, who was very nerdy and told not to be, who was told fanfic was bad and to never write the first time I had even heard the term to being relatively open about it. I don't know if anything led to an interest in it, so much as the communities allowing me to accept that I had a passion for it.
Why did you start writing fanfic? I wanted a Rose stays with the Doctor fic, but without 3+ chapters of them being angry at each other, without Rose dying during the YTNW, and (frankly) smutless. I could say I wrote fanfic back in my teen years, but those were for school projects, and again, didn't know it was an actual thing, then told it was bad, and then took ten years to read it and see that the professor who told me that was full of crap. But, yeah, it came down to liking a concept, but wanting to do it different.
What inspires you and your writing? Love. Romance is always a big focus on my writing and always has been. But not only just the falling in love, but how the relationship change and grow as time goes on. It's why I haven't written any real breakups in any of my fic between the people who are meant to be together. I want to see them get through the tough times.

đ€« đ đȘĄ đ đ đ if itâs too much feel free to skip any :3 -luc (fledgling-coronet)
beloved friend forever <3 tysm (Pssssst if anyone wants to send more I'd love that <33)
đ€«- Write about a secret they share with their stuffie I think Ward tells Gale whenever he doesn't actually eat his veggies, or whenever he pretends to go to sleep and then stays up all night! Back when Gale was his stand-in "caregiver", he used to tell her about his Big feelings when he was regressed but now he just shares the silly secrets <3
đ- Do they have any outfits they like to wear while regressed? Usually he just wears a pair of PJ pants, and one of his casual shirts! He does however have several weather themed shirts, which he will never turn down <3
đȘĄ- What activities do they do while being regressed? Are any of them not 'typical' for regressors? He likes to do science projects! They're kid-safe of course, and sometimes he sits in and watches bigger science projects. He has a couple weather simulations he plays through sometimes. He's probably one of very few kids who sits and watches the Weather channel like its morning cartoons :P
đ- What is the love language between them and their caregiver like? Quality time! (Gonna get nerdy abt star trek |D here sorry) Bones is the Chief Med. Officer of Starfleet's flagship, which is to say he's pretty important, and the chaos the Enterprise crew gets into makes for some pretty consistently high stress levels
so it's nice for both of them (+Kirk about 50% of the time) when they just get to slow down and their world consists of just the two (or three) of them, and either Ward's room or Bones' room. (sometimes the Rec room areas or the holo-deck or other spaces on ship)
If Bones is super stressed and having a hard time taking a break or letting some of the other medical crew take charge, Ward can and Will weaponize his regression. He and Kirk put up thee sweetest puppy eyes, and give Bones a picture they drew together, and ask if the three of them can go do a puzzle or something
đ - Do they have a favorite place to take their regressor? Being on a ship in deepspace can make it kinda hard to have a change of scenery, or at least it would be if the Enterprise didn't have Holodecks :D They're basically a simulator room that can make any sort of environment
Bones likes to take Ward (+Kirk 50% of the time) to a place out in the rural area of Georgia (even tho he's from Atlanta i think he'd be fond of a country house in his home state) with peach trees and just acres and acres to run around in. he relaxes on the porch in the shade while the two run around like goobers <3
đ- Do they have any regression goals/dreams? (Ie owning a play room, finding a caregiver, ect) B4 meeting Bones, Kirk (and even Spock ehehe), Ward really wanted company, he's Independently Dependent which is basically like "Look at how I can do this all by myself! Are you watching? Are you watching?"
Now he's trying to convince Bones to let him get a pet that he can name Doppler!! He's... not been successful yet :P
#tl posts#character: ward#no such thing btw as asking me too much abt ward i will talk abt him forever#hes my fav little guy#ik i made him but im his biggest fan

As much as I love slutty Peter Parker fics, there is something special about those Peter Parker is a virgin ones. Tony teaching him, well, everything there is to know about sex and how good it can feel. What are your absolute favorite tropes?
Omg Iâm with you. I always write Peter as a virgin. No exceptions đ„Ž. My favourite trope is definitely virgin!Peter. And because Iâm really big on loyalty, I usually glaze over Tony being a slut in my fics too. I wonât have him with other people even if he and Peter arenât dating yet. Idk what youâd call that as a trope, but I do like the dynamic of Peter never sleeping with anybody who isnât Tony, and Tony putting away his past and realizing he doesnât like sleeping around anymore now that heâs got his soulmate Peter. đ„ș
I also love ânot actually unrequitedâ love. Like, Peter thinking Tony isnât interested, or Tony rejecting Peter, but not because he doesnât reciprocate, but because he âšdoesnât want to hurt himâš.
I am also a sucker for hidden identity. Peter and Tony falling in love as âother peopleâ and then coming together as their true selves despite all obstacles.
I also love fanboy/simp Peter because I like to project, and I am head over heels for Tony, so I like when Peter is like obsessed with him and would basically do ANYTHING for Tony. Of course, he still has to be a little feisty and backtalk Tony sometimes, but at the end of the day, heâd die for him. AND I like the same in reverse. Tony being totally whipped by innocent nerdy Peter đ„°đ. Like that meme where Tony is portrayed as Gordon Ramsay and he tells everyone (the avengers) to fuck off, and then it shows Peter, and heâs like, đ„°đđ„șđ€ and says something super nice to him. HAHAH.
Ummm letâs see. Itâs not exactly a trope but I LOVE Tony being a rich bitch but taking Peter to ânormalâ places like Burger King and 7-11, and just like strolling in as if heâs not Tony Stark, and Peterâs watching him like đ„Žđ„Ž âI canât believe Iâm hanging out with Tony Stark rn.â Or Tony picking Peter up from school or visiting him AT school and showing everybody who Peter belongs to. But I ALSO like Tony dazzling Peter by taking him to really fancy restaurants and events, and buying him suits/tech.
ALSO Peter calling Tony, âMr. Stark.â đ€đŠ
AND them working in the lab together (this can be soft OR sexy)
Part of the whole virgin thing too is Peter coming really fast and multiple times while Tony has his way with him đ©
And also Tony being secretly insecure and vulnerable đ„șđ„ș like heâs worried about his age, or his scars, or that heâs a fuck up, and Peter very aggressively and affectionately assures Tony that heâs The Best.
Idk I just really like Starker any way I can get it. Whether itâs soft đ„șor debauched đ maybe if I think of some more tropes Iâll reblog this and add to it. Feel free to share yours!!
đ€đ€đ€đ€
#starker#ask#suddenly I canât even think of what a trope is#whenever anyone asks me a question I go braindead and forget everything Iâve ever known

What did you think of Get Back (2021)?
I loved Get Back!
The Nagra Tapes were one of the things which took my interest in The Beatles to a whole new nerdy level when I first properly got into them. It felt like such a privilege to hear them interact that intimately, decades in the past, and it opened my eyes to the fact their dynamic was far more complex than any of us could comprehend. Never in my life did I think we'd get a chance to see the amount of footage which came to light in Get Back -- for a long time it was doubtful Let It Be would even be re-released. That combined with the fact I wasn't able to experience the Anthology in real-time made the whole release period truly magical.
What I appreciated most about it was that it gave viewers a chance to feel like another observer in the room. I love a good autobiography, but the downside of them is you always have to go by one person's impression of an event and the people around them. It was nice to be able to notice things that maybe someone in the room wouldn't have picked up on, and it really seemed made for the fans -- sadly a rarity.
As a George fan, the focus on him in part 1 was greatly appreciated. I've never seen a documentary center him in that way and actually make you feel what he was going through. Something else which took me (pleasantly) by surprise was the side story of John and George's relationship. Whenever George has spoken about John, it's tended to be dismissed as slightly delusional hero-worship. One-sided. I always knew John loved him, but even I couldn't quite gauge what was going on there. Partly because of an unfortunate lack of research by biographers and partly because John's public words about him were often in complicated times. In Get Back though, you can see they truly did share something unique, and I could finally understand where George was coming from. John's softness came out around him, and there was a level of ease between them I'd never seen before.
My only real gripe with the film was the lack of context it provided, and the ramifications this has had on the way The Beatles are perceived. I was disappointed, for instance, that George wasn't given credit for Billy Preston's arrival, and that Ringo was not only left out of the lunchroom audio, but was made out to not be at the table at all. Given that part 1 was heavy on the George drama, IMO it should've been equally emphasised that he played a key part in the Get Back project being able to progress. I also would've liked to have seen more scenes of him feeling relaxed, singing, and joking around so that viewers would understand his mood was for a reason and not his general state of being. With the lunchroom convo, I appreciate it was hard to navigate, but it hasn't sat well with me that everybody's been left to believe this was only between John and Paul, and Ringo wasn't relevant. It gives credence to the narrative that The Beatles were really Lennon/McCartney.
Thanks for the question. Sorry this turned out so long!

Apritello Express Evidences, part 2
Khem-khem, ladies and gentlemen, we shall continue out praising Apritello's episodes. And yeah, this part will be dedicated, in entirety just one episode.
Purple jacket. April and Donnie's episode.
I really love this piece of masterpiece, because it show April and Dee relationship, better reveals them as characters, and demonstrates their connection. (My previous points at this whole situation)
The episode begins with Donnie sneaking into April's school under the pretext of helping her. Soon, April stated the reason why she called D - her science computer project. Actually, she could take a photo of the code and sent it to Donatello, and I'm sure, he would send her the correct one right away, he's coder, he's prodigy, no probbles.
But still, April just asked him to come over and help her without stating any reasons. And he, indeed, came at speed of the light.
I want you to understand what exactly does that mean.
First: April is aware how much Donnie is into human culture. He wants to study in normal human school, do some average teen stuff. Especially, he is loving school and science-related stuff, all these science school projects, visits to botanical gardens, experiments and laboratory work. Because it's his field. It's exactly his domain, where he's good at. His family does not share his interest in science, and April is only one who can understand him. Probably.
Also, April know, how badly Donnie wants to go to school, which gives him an excuse, even if not the most solid one, but an excuse, nevertheless, to visit her school again.
Why again?
Because he has no problem navigating there. Donnie went directly to April's computer class.
He loves this place. And he'd already helped April with her projects.
Even so, knowing that every time she asked guys, especially Don, for help, it turned into a cataclysm, April still called him to help.
It's just a weird, indirect way to say, " Let's hang out, I know how much you like this whole situation with science, school and etc. Here ya go, buddy"
It seems like April did that to make something pleasant to him, something small, but nice to make him feel better. Because, as I state before - he likes to help April (praise, doing something useful for April - still counts as a motivation) and he likes school.
Second: khem-khem, D came at her school, as it seems, right away she called/texted. He didn't even know the proper reason, but c'mon: April ask for help, plus, her school. Sounds legit, don't you think?
Anyway, April has always been being the reason and excuse for teetles, but especially for Donnie. Clear? Clear. Good.
Donnie also tends to not think things through when he is excited. Because he went at the daylight in place, full of people just to help April.
ROTTMNT shows us how turtles were really afraid of human reaction and possible consequences. They have plan "H" to pretend they are going to Galaxy Con, brothers have explanation why they look weird and it's definitely not because boys are mutants, uh-huh, no, plus, guys go on surface at evening or night hours, when there are not so many people, and it's dark, obviously, to cover them and keep unseen.
Yeah, of course, Donnie seems more capable then his brothers to handle the surface (he has cash, D's dressed up as old ladies more than once, according to Leo, he was in April's school before, so yeah, no big deal) and I suspect that his friendship with April is one of the reasons.
Third: do you remember how April worried about looking "normal" when she was finally invited to a school party? She even forbade Mayham to appear nearby, just not to look like the lizard boy. Because cool kids don't bring pets to school. April doesn't have many friends, or rather, there are none at school, and she's been trying to solve this problem by getting close to Taylor Martin, the coolest girl in school.
And April O'Neil just calls Donatello, an objectively strange guy (since when is it normal to be a fan of school? Pretty questionable) in place, where her reputation is hanging in a balance. Our girl does not try to hide Dee, as it usually shown in shows for kids, and April do not pretend that she sees him for the first time in her life because, you know, Donnie will catch everyone's attention being himself and may embarrass her in front of her classmates. But no - April says with all her actions: "Yes, I know him. Yes, that dork is with me. And I don't give a damn about your opinion. Your problems, not mine. And yeah, I'm fine with him being here."
I mean it, guys. The devil is always in the tiny details.
The way they behave around each other.
Donatello is way more, MORE relaxed and just being himself: dramatic dorky nerdy ninja with current obsessions. The way he sneaked in school and April's classroom, the way he behaves alone with her is contrasting the way of his attitude while his brothers are near.
Don has a specific way to shown up. Instead of texting her, Donnie used shurekens. Yes, he almost fell off the lamp, but still, that's... quite an entrance he makes there.
April worries about him, when he fell from ceiling.
Our girl feel relaxed enough around Donnie, so she winks at him.
A wink is a fairly casual gesture that shows some expression of sympathy, trust, and togetherness. It's both good for saying "We're in same boat, we're team" and show the playful attitude towards someone. Isn't that an indicator?
Ironically, that being the best friends April and Donnie do not have any secret handshake/brofist/special greeting, as it usually the besties have at kid's series. Like Kendra and Jeremy have.
I can do only one possible logical conclusion: their relationship is far beyond "friends," "best friends," and "family".
Btw, about this certain phrase about secret five.
- Nay, fair April. A secret five[...].
Once again, nice wording, Donatello. Fair April? Maybe I'm too critical, but often when someone wants to convince their interlocutor and at the same time show one's condescension to them, it's usually uses "my dear ..." or something like that. I understand that semantically the difference is not very big, but in the first case, you can feel Donnie's personal attitude, even though he uses a book word. The second is just formal politeness, which emphasizes the difference between the rightness of the disputants.
This phrase were interpreted on official Russian dub as (okay, it's really hard to choose the correct word, because there's a lot of synonyms in English that sits quite well, while on Russian it's just one word, damn) "ĐĐ”Ń, ĐŒĐžĐ»Đ°Ń (No, honey/sweetheart )". Actually, a strange choice of wording, 'cause this is not what usually friends use to say to each other. We prefer use words like " my darling", "my dear", to demonstrate leniency. And again, most often this prerogative belongs to the older generation. Russians rarely throw around such words as "honey", "dear", "sunshine", because this deprives these endearments of any meaning, and a person using them, as a rule, is familiar. Of course, there are people who use them on a regular basis, but I HIGHLY doubt that Donatello is one of them. It's not his style.
But still, maybe I just too critical at this point.
April, as it is shown, have some kind of power to cool and calm him down and bring Donnie back to life reality.
1. Don awakes from his daze while heard April's voice
2. He's literally coming back to life, when April said about his broken jetpack.
3. Dee obediently interrupts his touching farewell to the jacket when April yells at him.
Oh, and his face. I remind you, fellas, we're talking about Donatello, "I really do not like to express emotions"-guy and "I will die if someone broke my bAbEyS"-guy.
And what do we see? Donnie's emoting. And feels free to do that. He's even drooling. (What seems kinda interesting without context, if you're understand what I'm talking about ;))
Dee doesn't seem angry about broken jetpack. And his wide smile, while he's assuring April he can fix it? A few minutes ago, he was steamed when his stuff was stolen, but when the jetpack was broken, he doesn't even raise an eyebrow. Very eloquent.
April is his support
April also supports Donnie whatever he's up to. Yes, she hadn't been excited when Othello had expressed a desire to join the club. However, she also introduced him to Kendra and company. Yes, she showed by her whole appearance that she did not share his joy, but nevertheless, our loyal captain O'Neil was there for him, by his side all this time.
And her sweet facial expression. From "Srsly? Join this jerks?" to "If you dare to even think about to hurt him, I'll smash you".
And one more cute detail about Dee. Even if he does whatever he wanted so badly, Don constantly looks around at April, looking for her approval.
- Be honest, April, do I look fantastic, or SUPERBLY fantastic?
- You look like you drop a juice box in a laundry. (Play nice, April, don't be mean)
He cherishes her opinion.
April had even called him late at night just to, technically speaking, say that his tech were stolen. And what's the big deal with all his outfit? It's late night, they can just sneak out into Nakamura in their usual form. But noooo, April give a special ride on her bicycle. Just. You know. Our girl carried her own weight and his all the way without stopping. And then she went up 53 + floors running non-stop because Donnie's equipment was stolen. And then she had to chase the her classmates, dodge and jump out of the window. Because Purple dragons stole Dee's tech. Like shooting fish in a barrel, no big deal at all.
And it's definitely not because he will be totally crashed or he'll do stupid things during his anger, which will then come out sideways.
And April comes along with him to very end.
By the way, their phone conversations.
Donnie is the very case when "Call at any time of the day or night and I will pick up the phone".
When April called him when he needs D's help with Albearto, when something is definitely going on behind.
As it says in transcript of the episode:
[April takes out her phone, scrolls to Donnieâs listing and calls him. Donatello appears on screen. Behind him a flying microwave wearing boxing gloves shoots lasers at his brothers.]
Don: "You are conversing with Donatello."
April
[Crouched on floor in hiding.]
Dude, I need your help."
Don: "For you, anything. As long as it does not involve bees, or spiders, or beach balls.
[Thereâs an explosion behind him and his brothers cry out, which he ignores.]
And yeah, he took her incoming immediately, he ignores absolutely and totally everything around him, because... April? Expositions, bloody flying microwave bot turned to destroy mode, his brothers screaming and being in life-threatening situation? Naaah, it can wait.
Donatello was at Todd's, building "the puppiest place on Earth" and was very enthusiastic about to finish this thing. But he paused anyway to answer April.
We already know how obsessive with work Don can be: if something interesting gets into his field of view, he begins to do it all day long. Remember "The Purple Game" - a very revealing case. Yeah, we weren't shown how much Donnie is into engineering, but I can guess that point remains the same.
April called him at late night and Donnie picked up the phone.
April, unlike Donatello, is a teenager who is burdened with social relationship such as family, school, and work periodically, which implies a more or less strict schedule to follow and some conventions, such as " April, you can't go out late at night to catch robbers, you are underage and you have to go to school/work tomorrow). However, she was watching the news late at night, so she called Dee. ( I have a lot of questions, but I'll never get answers, as it seems)
D, in turn, doesn't have so many contacts with the outside world. I highly doubt that anyone else outside of the family and April has his number. And yet, when he hears the call late at night he takes it. Yes, he had awaken from the nightmare, but still.
And what's up with his usual "You're conversing with Donatello"? He didn't even understand what's going on, as it seems, he's too sleepy to play his usual image and playfully attitude as we could see in "Hypno Part Deux" and "War and Pizza".
Adorable couple-like D&A arguing
April very rarely uses "I told you so" against anybody, or rather, this is almost the only case. This phrase is more suitable for Leo or Donnie, and you know," I told you so! " we usually use on people we know well, and we want to tease 'em about them being wrong. Which, in fact, once again highlights and proves how close D&A are. And I don't even get started about the fact that this is more like a couple's quarrel, not a friend's.
And one more time - in the end, when April suggests using the jacket to stop Kendra.
Their teamwork
I stated that before, I'll tell it one more and more times. The chemistry of their team interaction is incredible. It's as if they can feel each other, and each knows what the other is capable of doing in the next moment. April easily adapts to Donnie's attack, realizing his plan.
Donnie also throws them both out of the window in order to continue the pursuiting Kendra on the jetpack. Don is one hundred percent sure of April, that she will understand what he wants to do, Dee trusts her with his life without hesitation, and she has never used his jetpack. He just puts her before the fact: April will be using the tech.
Up for Donnie!
I really like how this scene was made. Donatello struggles with his own tech, somewhat he made by himself, having invested almost whole himself and his soul, but what "betrayed" him in end. When Dee finally managed to shake one of his battleshell, which almost choked him, Donnie feel so scared and unsecured. We can see his anxiety - Dee's coaching position with covering his head with his hands and tucking his knees.
Defenseless, helpless, and mostly lost, and then, just in time - hero comes to save his life. She uses Donnie's name as battlecry, look how furious she is.
Funny fact: on Russian dub April yells "Don't touch Donnie! (how dare you, madafaka)
April fits in Donnie's type of girls. She's cute (obvious) and mean (not so obvious).
I can't say that meanness is the main feature of April's character, as we can say about Kendra. But this personality trait is still present in her and sometimes it does not manifest itself so widely. April's meanness is not so pronounced, it is much softer and smoother, and it is not exposed.
But April becomes really mean when someone messes up with Donnie.
She's his support and prop. Literally. Just look at first frame, okay-okay, jokes aside
She's genuinely enjoying of kicking bad guys ' asses, even letting go of witticisms and barbs.
Last scenes
Don survived a rough night: he was used, his tech was stolen, so he and April had to chase the satin robed punks. Donnie was hit in the head with a hammer, he fell from a bird's-eye view, passed out and then his battleshell tried to strangle him. And April is here to comfort him, to cheer him up.
Yes, we don't get any hugs (because it's kids show, bleh), the tactility is kept to a minimum, except for April's comforting hand on his shoulder, but they don't even look at each other. But the softness of her voice, the intonation with which she utters a phrase (that is usually sent to the friend zone, but "pal" is really neutral word, and the most important how she said that) turn the scene upside down. It is not what April did to comfort him matter, it's how she did this.
I said "yes" to you way too often
April mirrors Donnie with his "Anything for you". Yes, of course, she said this with a certain amount of grumbling, but her voice and her demeanor suggest otherwise - she is not at all averse to going to giving in him.
And the way they're look at each other.
This one
And one more detail
It's really tiny, it's hard to catch from the first watching the episode, but still, it's possible. I'm talking about graffiti on the walls of the alley where April and Don had landed.
This one
Yeah, if we speak about reality it's quite normal to see graffiti like this. But we talking about TV-series, where everything has its own place and meaning. And if there something, it must be there, it's not just whim of artist who put it in there. But this little graffiti changes the mood of scene.

âââââââââââââââââââââ
âJoonie, what are you doing? Are you busy?â Your voice comes out small as you peak around the corner into his office, sweater pawed knuckles sneaking around the edge of the door frame.
He doesnât look up at first. Perhaps you really were too quiet. Or maybe heâs just that immersed in his book. Itâs not a cover youâve seen before so it very well may be the latter. You know how he is when he has a new thing to get lost in. Ever your astronaut adrift, exploring the moons just beyond whatever new world heâs found.
He looks so at home now. Cozy in his den of words and letters. Perfectly domestic amidst lofty thoughts and paragraphs. His skin is mostly bare today, his coordinated tank top and shorts exposing a golden expanse of toned arms, long legs . Theyâre folded up and crossed, a little boy lost in wonder as he sits on his futon.
His hair is a warm chestnut this week, fringe too long around the lashes but too short to pull back. The way it refuses to cooperate when he brushes it out of his eyes, trickling silkily, stubbornly back into place, exactly where it wants to be, makes you want to chuckle.
He still hasnât noticed youâre there. Too far gone in whatever his newest philosophy is to notice the way you study the dip of his furrowed brow, how it juxtaposes against the relief of his shadowed dimples, smiling even as he frowns. He finds so much pleasure in being studiousâ just for fun. No matter how much concentration it takes. Youâve always admired that about him. Admired everything about him really.
Clearing your throat, though you hate to interrupt him, you try again.Â
âJoonie?â
Somehow itâs even quieter than before, and as he turns another reverent page, you know youâll have to physically intervene to interrupt him. You sigh. You hate to break the spell. He loves days like thisâwith the rain trickling down the windowâs glass casting shadows on his focused faceâ heâs so happy to read when it rains.
He leans forward then without looking up to take a sip of his Earl grey, bumbling when the steam unexpectedly fogs his glasses. He laughs at himself, folding his book so it splays across the seat to mark his place and removing his glasses. Itâs the first time heâs looked up. He spots you then, his face splitting into the smoothest âthereâs my girlâ smile youâve ever seen.
âHey⊠how long have you been standing there?â His voices comes low, warm, soothes something in you that desperately needs rest.
âLong enough to see you blind yourself with tea, it seems.â You try to smile back, but itâs a weak, floppy thing. Your cheeks canât seem to commit so it falls a bit too flat. His brows pinch when he sees it. Somethingâs amiss.
âHey⊠are you okay?â His inscrutable eyes analyze you, and you let him. Too tired to resist or put up a fight.
âItâs not my day, joonie.â Your voice is pitiful, even to your own ears. Youâd normally wince at sounding like this in front of anyone else. But honestly, itâs okay. Itâs Namjoon youâre with. You donât have to play games or hide things. Not here. Not with him.
âYeah?â His eyes catch yours as his palms rub the tops of his thighs. Itâs an invitation. You know the gesture by now.
âYeah⊠again. There have been so many of these lately,â you say, crossing the room to him, his arms unfolding to welcome you into them. âThey come too often and stay too long. Theyâre terrible house guests. Iâm tired of them, joon. I canât seem to get rid of them.â
Youâre scooped against him now, head on the space between his neck and his chest, fingers twisted into his tank top, bum in his lap, knees tucked up til youâre as small as you can get. Thereâs a broad palm of his on your back, fingertips on his other hand traveling the length of your arm in tender caresses as his cheek rests atop your head.
âMaybe we should start charging them rent. I bet even they canât afford to pay that in this economy.â He offers the idea solemnly, fully committed to carrying out the metaphor that your mental health really is just an unfortunate airbnb plagued with hideously mannered squatters.
âYou know, I love that about you, Joon.â
âMy inability to pay rent?â
You nuzzle a sappy no into the heat of his neck,â dummy, your very real ability to never minimize things that are hard to me.â
The dip of his chest as he exhales is oddly soothing. It makes you feel like youâre being rocked and god if you donât need to be cradled right now. âThings  have been really hard lately, havenât they?â He wonders aloud.
âIt isnât just my perception?â You look up, eyes entirely too pitiful, too round to belong to a functioning adult. No, Namjoonâs heart goes soft as he realizes heâs looking at the eyes of a very scared four year old you. The haunted gaze of an innocent girl who never got told everything would be alright. Even without knowing any more than that, it makes him want to cry.
âNo, my sweet girl, itâs not.â Closing his eyes, he presses somber lips to your forehead, scooping you close to shield youâ from the world, from yourself, from all the insidious things that took root in you so long ago youâre not even sure how they got in. His wide hands grip you tighter, a feeble attempt to help hold you altogether.
Itâs silent then. A few beats of quiet, only disrupted by the clumsy clatter of irreverent raindrops on glass. His caress stays steady against your soft sleeves, his languid fingers perpetually in motion as he attempts to soothe the wounds that sit just beneath your skin.
You look up at him again, unsure what youâll find.Â
You almost cry when you see the gentleness in his eyes. No judgment anywhere within them. Just something kind that stretches into the lines his eyes carve as he smiles. How you itch to gently peel his horn rimmed glasses off the tip of his button nose and kiss it. Bless him.
God, you donât know why heâs so nice to you, but youâre so glad that he is. The smile you give back to him is wobbly, trembly, poorly constructedâ but so so sincere that it makes your sad eyes shine. He bumps your nose with his, burying himself against your forehead as you cocoon into him.
You want to ask him what heâs reading, listen intently to him as he tells you all about it, but you know you canât. You canât decipher anything today. It all feels too heavy. You canât carry the weight of anything new with hands already full. At this point, youâve lived in this soft hoodie of his , the one you stole after his tour two years back because it smelled like him, for the past 3 days. You donât even have the energy to change. With that kind of retention rate, seems thereâs no point in asking your brilliant professor to explain anything.
Still, itâs always so nice to hear his voice. Especially with your ear to his chest like this.Â
So you ask anyway.
âWill you read to me, Joonie? Life always feels better when youâre reading.â You press your face deep into the copper of his neck, an open mouthed kiss placed against his pulse.
âItâs all kind of theoretical,â he chuckles. Heâs bashful. If holding you werenât occupying his hands, you know theyâd be nervously fiddling with the back of his neck. A nerdy boy with a too big brain hesitant to share his discoveries.
âIs it good though? Youâve already read Jung to me, and I stayed awake through that. I think I deserve more credit.â You poke his throat with your nose. Youâre not genuinely affronted, itâs just nice to remind him you're competent too. Sometimes.
His sweet chuckle then is earthy and rich, all dark molasses. âTrue. You actually gave pretty good feedback for that too. Fine. Didnât mean to underestimate you. Just⊠bear with me if it feels odd? I haven't read it before. I canât vouch for it all yet.â
âFine by me. Iâm just here for the cuddles and my Kim Namjoon audiobook.â
He can feel your smile against his skin. It makes him press you just that extra little bit tighter against him, exhaling soft through his nose when he feels you return the gesture.
Scooping up his paperback, he adjusts his glasses where theyâve slipped down his nose, clearing his throat to project like the narrator he claims heâs not but loves to be. Heâs quiet for a few more beats. You can hear pages rustling as you sink against his skin. You imagine he must be trying to find where he was when you interrupted, or perhaps searching for a passage that seems apropos. Which he chooses, you donât know, but you can feel when he settles, just before his caramel voice sweetens the thin air of the room.
âIt's the same with the wound in our hearts,â he begins. â We need to give them our attention so that they can heal. Otherwise the wounds continue to cause us pain. Sometimes for a very long time. We're all going to get hurt. But here's the trick - they also serve an amazing purpose.Â
When our hearts are wounded that's when they open. We grow through pain. We grow through difficult situations. That's why you have to embrace each and every difficult thing in your life.â
You arenât sure when your eyes opened, not sure when they began to glaze over or when you started to cry. But you did. And you are. The salty things dripping down against Namjoonâs silken skin. Your sweatered knuckles try to knock them away, but to no avail. Your cheeks are still a wet mess and now his collarbone is too.
âJoon, what is this? What are you reading?â
âOh⊠um, itâsâ terribly long title butâ Into the Magic Shop: A Neurosurgeon's Quest to Discover the Mysteries of the Brain and the Secrets of the Heart. Isn't that a mouthful?â his laugh is self deprecating, small, but still the most beautiful sound.
God, you hate how sensitive and soft you are right now. You donât want to be sitting here at 4pm in your boyfriendâs lap crying over a paragraph in a book you've never even heard of before, but here you are.
â is that⊠what the whole book is about ?â
âYou know, I donât know. I havenât read it all yet. Jackson recommended it, Iâm just now getting to it. Why - do you not like it? I can put this down. Read you something else if this is too heavy. You always like the poetry. I can grab that one anthology you like.â
You can feel as he starts to shuffle beneath you, eager to track down new reading material for you, afraid heâs scared you off, when the fluttering weight of your palm tethers him to his spot.
âNo, stay. Keep reading. I want to hear the rest.â
You can practically hear him smile. Relieved. Can feel his dimples manifest without even trying. He kisses your hair, tilts your chin up to kiss you too. The complexity of bergamot and black tea making his supple lips even more bewitching than normal. The window in the corner is cracked open, the humidity it leaks in making your skin sticky as you lean against him.
Heâs lovely like this. The rain soaked air mixing with his natural scent, a broad hand on your chin, warm thumb beneath your lip as you mold pliant into his kiss. He ends it with a peck to your lips, a tap of his nose to your nose, before hoisting you so close against him you just may fuse together.
And he reads. He reads until heâs exhausted. Til the rain has stopped, and youâve drifted to rest pressed against the skin of his chest.
He folds the book shut once your breathing has stilled, his thumb marking the page as he tips you both to lay down sideways. As he extends his pinprick tingling legs for the first time in ages, you hoist yourself around him in your sleep like a koala, and he chuckles. Thatâs usually his move.
He kisses your hair then, traipsing fingers tenderly through the escaped bits of it that brush across your cheeks. He wonders if you know how madly in love with you he is. How often heâs wondered what heâd do without you. Today, like most days lately, your light was dim, but still kelvins brighter than anyone elseâs.
He sends a silent thank you to whatever deity arranged things in such a way that he can hold you to his chest like this as the daylight savingâs darkness floods his studio office. You seemed so sad today, but he knows it wonât last forever. Itâll pass. It always does. Heâll just hold you until it does. And then some.

Studying at night - Koby x f!reader (College AU)
A/N : Thanks a lot dear. I am a sucker for my pink boy, so, here is a scenario about studying with him. It came out like the first part of a series, so I might write the rest later. It was so fun and well...Please imagine it being set in La Sorbonne or something. I imagined the actions taking place there. +w+ Ok. Enough chatter.Â
« - Who have you been assigned to work with, (Y/N) ? »
«-Hmm...Let's see » you check the little paper that you have picked « the name is Koby...I don't know who it is. »
« -Koby ?! Forreal ?? Whaa, I envy you » She taps your shoulder gently while assembling her books. « He scored first for the last two years on every single test. He is like...very hardworking. And a bit nerdy if you see what I mean » She says as she mimics big glasses on her face. « He will probably do all the project, don't bother ! »
-What do you mean ? You're offending me, Nami-chan ! I won't let him do all the work...And you,w ho have you been assigned to ?
She pauses for a little while pinching the bridge of her nose, visibly annoyed then says ; « Zoro. If I let him do anything I think that I will fail this class. Guess I'll do all the work she shrugs but I will make him pay for lunch for a week in return.Â
-Sounds like a nice deal. You smile and put your books in your handbag.
-Well...I have to leave for now. I have a lecture starting in five minutes...Oh...Look there ! -She points out to a pink haired guy on one of the middle rows putting his books in his bag- that's your man, you might want to catch up with him to discuss the project. Anyways, I'm leaving now.
-See you later. I'll come back later tonight so don't wait for me for dinner.
-Alright ! See ya !
Nami and you shared the same room at the dorm, however, because of your work you always came back late. You didn't have a choice, the cost of life was really high in the capital and you didn't want to be a burden to your parents. You sighed and walked towards the guy. You had some lectures in commun, his face was familiar. You have always assumed that he were younger because of his childish features. The pink hair gave him a soft look, it reminded you of cotton candy.
You waved to him and said after clearing you throat ;
-Yo' ! I'm (Y/N). I guess that we are doing the project work together ? You point to the piece of paper on the wooden table.
-O-oh, hi. He looks at the paper and reads, (Y/N/L/N). Yes ! We are doing the project together then. Nice to meet you. I am Koby. He bows a little bit while presenting himself.
-Cool. I don't have a class right now. We could go grab a coffee in the cafeteria and discuss the project if that's okay with you.
-Ah ? Of course ! That's fine with me. I guess I have some time. He says while looking at his wrist watch.
-Nice. Let's go.
You give him a wide smile. He looked a little bit uncomfortable. The shy type for sure. You were somehow comfortable and looked at him from head to toe. Cute style ; he was wearing a green bandana on his forehead, casual pale blue blaser above a white shirt and a pair of jeans. He looked well put together, a little bit boring ; nerdy type for sure. He took a pair of huge glasses off his face and put them in a case before following you to the cafeteria.
You were now sitting in front of each other in the cafeteria. You smiled noticing how he just ordered a hot chocolate while you loved your tea black and bitter. He was looking at you, then, when you rested your eyes on him he just looked away. He seemed like an easily flustered person. You wondered if he will manage in the presentation. The project you were working on was due to be presented in front of everyone. It was about didactics.
-So, you're also a second year ?
-Y-yes.
-We don't have a lot of lectures in commun. In what major are you ?
-History. I take this lecture as an extra. Didactics sounded fun.
-Oh. You take a sip from your coffee. That's nice. You wanna become a teacher ?
-Not really. I would like to become a heritage curator.
-Whaa, really ? Sounds cool. And...very specific.
-I guess so...That is not something a lot of people would like to do. He says, smiling and scratching his neck. He seemed nervous.
-You're so tense. You should relax a bit. We are the same age after all. Anyways, about this project. You take your agenda out of your bag and open in it front of Koby. Oh jeez. I am really busy with m part-time job most days. So I am only free on nights...The library stays open all night, I don't know if it's okay with you to work at night. I don't want to impose my schedule on you.
He waves a hand infront of his face, assuring you that it's fine with him ;
-It's okay ! I live in the dorm anyways so I am free whenever you are. I don't want to interfere with your working hours.
-Alright so let's say thursday at 10 PMÂ ?
-That's alright.
-It's settled then. I am looking forward to working with you, Koby ! You make a bright smile and he  gasps a bit, taken aback by your chill demeanour. Oh I forgot. Can I have your number ?
He looked startled for a while.
-For the project. You assured.
-Oh yes sure !
You offer him your phone and he types his number. You wave to him ;
-Thanks ! I'll message you later. It was nice meeting you, Koby. »
You don't wait for his answear and head to the dorm to get prepared for your job.
(Y/N) sent a message : Hey Koby, you always down to study at 10 PM tonight ???
Kobyđ sent a message : Yes sure ! I'll book a study room in the library if that's fine with you.
(Y/N) sent a message : Sure, see you later !;)
At nine a half you were getting your books and study material ready to go join the cotton candy man. You didn't bother to take off your make up and put on a big coat over your body. You just took off your red lipstick with a babywipe and headed to the library. The place was calm and almost empty. It was rustic, it had a XIXth century style, well, like your whole university that was renovated around that time. It had a classical style that was charming and added a cozy ambience.
Koby đ sent a message : I am already in study room number 3. I am sorry I didn't notify you earlier.
This guy was too polite, you thought. You had a little smile then went to the study room. He jumped a bit in his seat when the door opened and that made you chuckle. He was easily startled.
-Hi Koby, I hope that I'm not messing with your sleeping schedule.
Despite the late hour, he seemed wide awake. He said as you sit next to him, putting your laptop on the table.
-O-Oh...No. It's totally fine. I hope that I am the one not interfering with your job.
When his eyes layed on you, he couldn't restrain the surprise that was now mirrored in them. Surely because you were wearing heavy make up ; smokey eyes and glitter that was stuck to your face and your hair. It was different from your usual naked-face look. He couldn't help but wonder for what reason where you wearing so much make up, and what you were hiding under your long coat. But he coughed loudly, trying to focus again ; the project.
-Thanks. I really appreciate how flexible you are around my hours. I owe you one ! I think that no one else would've accepted to work with me this late haha...Well, I wouldn't have minded doing the project on my own. You shrug.
-Really ?...Well...Actually, me neither. I am not too good at project working...And studying with others... He looks down with a smile.
-Oh wow, I wouldn't have guessed. You look like you are good at cooperating. Anyways, I am sure that we will kick ass !
The way you talked and how confident you were were two things that the pinkette appreciated about your personnality. You seemed like an easy going person, he didn't feel much pressure to work with you. You open your laptop and start laying some ideas, meanwhile, he takes out a notebook and a pencil case ; Oh, old-school, I see, you think to yourself.
His notes were very organized and clean. He seemed to have memorized everything the professor has said about the project and had a clear plan. However, he asked you for your opinion for everything and couldn't help but ask « are you alright with this part ? » for every idea he suggested. It was a bit annoying, but also a bit cute.
When he was studying, he was different. He had a bit more confidence and didn't hesitate to correct you when something you said seemed out of the topic or a bit repetitive. You appreciate this about him ; yes, no wonder he scored first for the two last years.
You worked for around two hours before you noticed that his eyes started looking tired. He wasn't used to studying this late, yet he did his best to come study with you at this time. You felt bad for keeping him awake.
-Koby-san ? Your soft voice snatched him out of his half-sleeping state.
-Ohh ! Sorry I just--
-You should probably go to sleep. I am sorry I gave you such a hard time. You must have classes tomorrow morning...You said with a sorry voice.
-No no, it's totally fine. I am sorry I just...well...
-No need to be sorry. Well, it's past midnight now. We should probably get going and continue tomorrow or some other day.
-Are you sure ?
-Yeah. I'm not going to keep you more. You look really tired. You shouldn't overwork yourself, Koby-san...Well...Even if technically it's my fault. You giggled a bit.
You started putting your stuff in your bag and he did the same, appreciating your presence. You had a soft aura that was really calming. He has never studied this late before, but he liked the atmosphere. It felt so dreamy.
As you were both going out of the room, you noticed a little cat keychain on the ground. You bowed down to take it in your hand. It was a cute kitty wearing a strawhat. You looked at Koby with a frown and said Â
-I think that you dropped this ?
You couldn't help but smile when you saw his embarrassed face. Yeah. It definitely looked like something he would have. He took it off your hand pretty fast and stuttered ;
-Oh thanks ! It's...Well...It's like a lucky charm haha.
-No need to justify yourself. I think that it fits your personnality pretty well.
-Huh ? He just said not understanding what you meant.
-It's pretty cute !
You were making it even harder for him not to blush and you were having too much fun looking at him struggle. It was wrong, but it just was too much fun.
-Oh. It was a compliment by the way.
You wink at him before going out of the study room. He follows you, destabilized. Your confident and assertive behavior was really foreign to him. You really made him interested in learning more about you.
Studying with you was calming, sharing that moment at night in the almost empty library, having you in full make up at such a late hour, as if you were going to a date. He blushed at that thought and felt bad for thinking that. You were there to study and you were strangers, well, university mates. He wasn't allowed to have such a thought.
You were fascinating in more than one way and you really made him curious to learn more about you. You seemed like the type of girls to hide secrets behind her immaculate day-look. He was a bit impatient to learn more. But why ? You were only working for a university project after all, and once it was done, he won't have the opportunity to spend more time with you, and that somehow made his chest tighten.

if love be rough with you - part 2
In which you and Harry are professors at a prestigious Art and Language university and the animosity of part one is discussed. Also, you fuck.
disclaimer: just a huge thank you to everyone who said nice things about part one, especially @for-fucks-sake-hâ. I hope yâall enjoy this one!
warnings: it has sex, folks. Iâm not that good at writing it, but itâs in there. also, use condoms; these intellectuals are very fictional and also horny dumbasses.Â
word-count: about 6,000 words
part 1
As the car rolled to a stop, lighting tore across the sky.
âCome upstairs,â you said. Obnoxiously loud thunder boomed, providing much needed context for your invitation. You didnât like the idea of him in your space, your privacy and vulnerability out in the open where he could pick them apart. The alternative was worse, though. Finding him annoying wasnât the same as wanting him dead in a ditch.
âNo need,â Harry said calmly, the way he did everything else.
âLook, just come upstairs and leave once the rain stops. You owe me, remember?â
He raised an eyebrow, clearly not expecting you to fight him on this. His coat was still draped over your shoulders and you had spent the last fifteen minutes in his comfortable leather seats, sipping on a water bottle he got you at a gas station. There was also a milk chocolate bar on your lap, the kind you used to eat during movie nights in university. You knew what he was thinking: if he had owed you, that didnât look to be the case anymore. But half an hour of kindness didnât erase the sound of his condescending darling making you feel small and embarrassed, especially when you were the one trying to help him.Â
âIâm not going to say please, Harry. Letâs go.â
So you walked out into the pouring rain, barely keeping from slipping and falling on your ass. His coat precariously covered your hair as you fumbled for your keys and finally got into the building.Â
Harry was right behind you, not saying a word as you climbed the stairs. The apartment looked so much smaller with him in it. You refused to feel embarrassed, but you could see him examining every corner from his spot next to the door as you dropped your purse and keys onto the counter that separated the kitchen and your bed.
"Iâ" you stopped yourself before telling him I know it's small. Having a home of your own, no matter how small, was not something you would apologize for. "Do you want something to drink or eat?"
You proceeded to take off your shoes, tie your hair back in a ponytail and brush your teeth, all while Harry stood, stiff, in the same spot without giving you an answer.
"Styles, what the hell?"
"Huh," was his brilliant response.
"Huh what?"
"You just look a little different, 's all."Â
"Must be the gin," you said. "Speaking of which, do you want water or wine?"
"Water's good," smiling to himself, he said: "Thank you."
"What's so amusing?"Â
His smile faded and you instantly regretted asking. While you poured his glass of water to the sound of heavy rain, Harry leaned on your door as if ready to run away at any second. It was a little hurtful, if you were being honest.
âYou can have a seat, you know,â you handed him the glass, hoping to sound breezy and relaxed, or whatever. It didnât come naturally. âThe rainâs not going anywhere for awhile.â
Harry nodded and sitted on one of the two kitchen stools. The fact that he was so quiet almost made you miss his usual outspokenness.Â
As he drank his water, you sorted through the drawers of your dresser in the awkward silence, pushing aside turtlenecks and pencil skirts so you could get dry and actually comfortable clothes. Two t-shirts, two boxer shorts.
âIâll change into something dry, you should probably do it too,â you pointed to the clothes you just dropped onto the bed, his eyes on you the whole time. âI figure these might fit you.â And before you could talk yourself out of it, you said: âYou can also practice saying words while Iâm in there.â
The bathroom door clicked as it closed between the two of you. Taking a deep breath, you undressed while listening for any sign that he had moved from the kitchen stool. A sign that he was mirroring your every move, peeling off wet clothing while trying to picture the other side of the door. It was foolish to project your filthy thoughts into Harry, but you couldnât help it. You just wanted so badly to believe that he was out there wanting you too, that he didnât bring up that night so often just to humiliate you.Â
The soft cotton of the old university t-shirt you wore to bed looked like something out of a time machine under the bright bathroom lights with him standing outside. How many nights had you worn that same thing and smiled at him from across whatever room, beating yourself up for not being able to just say hello? Maybe more than hello.Â
All of it seemed to have happened many lives ago.
âCan I come out? Are you decent?â you asked, barely recognizing your own voice. It sounded too casual.Â
âDecent, me?â his answer came muffled. âNever, darling.â
You walked out, only to find yourself in a scene straight out of a porno. Harry was leaning on your kitchen counter, amusement in his eyes, dressed in your shakespeare is my boyfriend extra large t-shirt and way-too-tight boxers. His lilac pants and cream sweater laid in a pile on your bed looking like an afterthought and, even though he looked so different from his usual posh self, his pearl necklace was still decorating his absolutely maddening neck. He looked so much bigger. Maybe it was the way your clothes clung to his biceps and thighs, or the fact you hadnât been this close to him without heels in years. Maybe your apartment was just too small.
âAm I wearing some other guyâs underwear?â Harry asked, suddenly serious.
âHuh?â
He looked down, pointing to his restricted and very prominent bulge, and your face was suddenly on fire. This certainly couldnât be considered an appropriate move for a co-worker, right?
âItâs mine, Styles. I wear them to bed,â you cleared your throat, looking up again. Tugging at your own, admittedly much looser, shorts, you said: âSee?â
âYeah,â his voice was rough, barely more than a whisper. You could feel his eyes all over you, like they were fingertips threatening to touch you but never quite doing so. A shiver, like the one in the pub, ran through you, and you were suddenly aware that your nipples were very much visible and poking through thin cotton. âI see it.â
You stood still as he spoke again, trying to keep your eyes above his chin. But then again, those lips and eyes were not that much better than his cock straining against your clothes.
âSorry about the weirdness earlier,â he continued. âI was just trying to get used to all this.â
âWhatâs all this?â
âYou, so careless, in your natural habitat. Itâs like the inside of this place is an alternate universe.â
-
An alternate universe, indeed. The hours of uninterrupted storming had eventually tired both of you out; you couldnât let him stand in a corner or sit in a stiff stool all night. As it became clearer and clearer that heâd spend the night, you suggested watching a movie, even though it was obvious the two of you were exhausted. The whole thing was a poor attempt at avoiding the fact that there was no place for him to sleep but your bed. You certainly could handle smirks, teasing looks, sexually charged remarks, even handle his thighs and the outline of his cock in your clothes, or the vanilla smell he would definitely leave on your nerdy t-shirt. Would sitting in bed together and watching a movie be hard? Absolutely. But falling asleep next to him crossed some terrifying line; it had happened before, and the slightest possibility of having it happen again only so heâd use it against you later was just too much.
So now you were on your bed, backs resting against the headboard as you watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. While his legs stretched out beneath the shared gray comforter, yours were against your chest; if you curled up a little more, youâd probably disappear into thin air. His slightest move could be felt by you just by the shifting of the mattress, and the movie was next to inaudible for the sole reason that you couldnât help but focus on the sound of him breathing right next to you. On your bed. Every few minutes youâd feel him staring at the side of your face, but your gaze remained stoically on the TV screen until he called your name in a whisper.Â
âYeah?â you answered, glassed over eyes still on the movie. The second task of the Triwizard Tournament had just begun.Â
âIâm sorry.â
That got your attention. âWhat do you mean?â
âI justââ Now Harry was the one looking away from you. As if talking to the movie, he said: âI know the whole darling shit I say gets to you. And I know itâs gross to keep bringing up that night.â
Your breath got stuck in your throat. The whole thing was just too much; how dare he apologize and catch you off guard like that? Out of everything in this world he could say, that was what you least expected. It was not that you found him to be disgusting and immoral, or that you believed he acted mean because he was a genuinely bad person. You wouldnât have put up with all the teasing if that had been the case. But you also couldnât have imagined that heâd be brave or mature enough to apologise.Â
Maybe that was related to the fact that you, out of pure pride and spite, couldnât see yourself apologizing to him.Â
âI think I do it becauseââ
âStyles,â you finally cut him off. âYou donât have to.â
âNo, I want to. I want to tell you Iâm sorry that Iâm a dick to you only because Iâm insecure and kind of a coward, to be honest.â
You scoffed before realizing how rude that was.Â
âWhat?â he asked. You could see him tense up, his brows furrowing, and guilt started burning in your cheeks.
âSorry,â you muttered. âItâs not funny, I just find it hard to believe you do things out of insecurity.â
âWell,â he said, âI find it hard not to be insecure when things happened the way they did.â
Great.Â
âAnd how did things happen, huh? What are you even talking about, Harry?â
He sighed. His hand was halfway up to his face before it fell back onto the mattress af if heâd changed his mind about putting something between your eyes and his. Again, braver than you figured he could be.
âLook, I donât want to fight. I guess I was just trying to make sure you didnât forget.â
Suddenly there was no clarification needed. You looked at him as he nervously tugged at his pearls after having just admitted whatever happened between you two had meant something to him. At least it had meant enough that he needed you to remember it. How could I ever forget it?, you wanted to ask him. But it was stupid and cheesy, so you settled for wondering it in silence. How could you ever forget the giggles as he shut the bathroom door behind you, or the way you gasped as he fucked you with his fingers against the wall, his warm breath on your neck and his other palm keeping you quiet? There certainly was no forgetting his gaze through the rest of the graduation party, the brush of his hand against his lips like he wanted you to see what he was thinking about.
Once the party was almost over, he had walked over to you and said Please in the softest of voices while taking your hand. How could you ever forget that?
âI didnât forget,â you told him now.
Harry must have seen something true in your expression, because he didnât say another word until the movie was over.Â
-
âShould I go?â he asked, voice thick after just waking up. He had inevitably fallen asleep during the third quarter of the movie. Also exhausted, you had laid beside him at some point, making sure to put as much space as possible between your bodies. It wasnât a lot of space.Â
The room was dark except for the street lights shining dimly through your curtains, so you could barely see him even though you were facing each other. His head was already on your extra pillow, your calves already on the brink of touching. Your comforter already smelled of vanilla. Should he go? Probably. But what would be the use of him leaving? There was more damage to be done if he were to drive on dark and slick roads without enough sleep.Â
âNo,â you murmured back. âStay.â
âThatâs what I told you,â he said, sleepiness nearly gone from his voice. âBack then.â
The shadow of a smile settled on your lips. âYeah. I was so fucking awkward about the whole thing, wasnât I?â
âNo, I thought you looked cute in my kitchen.â
You chuckled and looked at his shoulder, because it seemed close enough to his face that he wouldnât notice you couldnât look him in the eye anymore. The nervous edge to your laughter seemed to echo in the room.Â
âAnd then you laughed, just like that, when I told you to come back to bed.â
âI was embarrassed, Harry.â
âI could tell,â he said. Harry shifted a little; you could feel his leg leaning on yours as he got closer. âYou kept tugging at my t-shirt like you wanted to hide your thighs from me.â
âKind of pointless,â you said. He stayed quiet for a second too long as one of his legs found its way between yours. Your breath hitched in your throat even though there was no pressure; his thigh was just there, and if you moved just a tiny bitâ
âYeah, but I sort of appreciated it,â his hand touched your chin so lightly you could have imagined it. So much for looking away. Staring you in the eye, as stern as youâd ever seen him, he said: âI enjoyed watching you squirm.â
Fuck him. Thatâs not what insecure men sounded like. You turned away from him, your core rubbing against his thigh in the process of disentangling your legs. Hopefully the gasp leaving your lips had been made quieter by the sound of the covers moving and your body hitting the mattress. With Harryâs breath on the back of your neck, you anxiously moved, trying to find a comfortable position in which you could forget, for even a split of a second, that he was right there behind you.Â
âHey,â he said, amused. âI know I just said I like it when you squirm but maybe you shouldââ
A careless shift of your hips and your ass was suddenly right against his cock.Â
ââstop.â
And he was hard. Now still, with your back to his front, you called his name.
âHarry?â It wasnât supposed to sound like a question, but your voice trembled at the last second.Â
âSorry,â but he didnât sound apologetic at all. âWe were just talking about you in my shirt and all of that, soâŠâ
âGod, Styles.â
Harry laughed, and you felt it in the spot right under your ear. You pressed your thighs together since your frustration with his shamelessness wasnât able to end the urge of grinding back against him. Just a little bit more, and then maybe you could fall asleep and wait until he was gone to masturbate and pretend this all had been a fever dream.Â
His hand grabbed your waist harshly as you moved your ass again.Â
âAre you sure you want this?â
You didnât answer him, or ask what exactly this was, but you did push against him once more. Some stupid part of you hoped he would play along and let things go unspoken, but Harry just used the hand on your hip to keep you still as he spoke again.
âSay youâre sure,â he murmured. His mouth was closer now, and you could feel every word on his lips against your neck. The hand that rested on your waist fell to your stomach, pulling you into him. âAnd Iâll help you."
"Styles," you breathed out, looking down as he lifted your t-shirt just enough so his fingertips would brush the skin above the waistband of your shorts. "I don'tâ"
"What?" his chuckle echoed through your entire body. There wasn't an inch of space between the two of you. "Are you going to say you don't know what I'm talking about?"Â
You choked on a whimper.
"All you have to do is ask," a light kiss under your ear. That was the first time he kissed you in years, and it almost broke you. But that wasn't what did it. Harry broke you by whispering, so quietly you could have imagined it: "I won't hold it against you, love."
The realisation that you believed him was enough to make you say a soft okay.
There was no hesitation; his hand slid down the front of your boxers, the heat of his palm right between your legs. Your thighs closed around him, a moan caught in your throat as two of his fingers rubbed your clit through your panties. You were a mess, it was true, but Harry didn't seem much better. His heavy breath sounded obscene against your neck, his cock twitching at the small of your back.
"Spread your legs," he said, struggling to touch you in such a tight space. It sounded like an order.Â
"Don't tell me what to do," you said, barely disguising your lust behind annoyance. Then you spread your legs, letting Harry move his fingers in small circles that got you dripping without ever being enough. You tried shifting your hips to get more friction, but he kept rubbing you slowly as you soaked through your panties, seemingly entertained by your desperation. "Harry," you called, breathless.
"Yeah?"Â
The hand that wasn't under your clothes came to tug on your hair, and you burned. Your scalp, your skin, your pussy. He set it all on fire. One of your hands gripped his thigh, a soft moan leaving your lips as he responded to your touch by tightening the hold on your makeshift ponytail.
"Touch me."
He didn't try pretending to not understand what you meant, which you were thankful for. Then he fucked that up by muttering, ever so fucking smug, "Don't tell me what to do."
"Asshole," you hissed at the same time he moved the fabric of your underwear aside to tease your entrance with the fingers that had been touching your clit.
"Don't be mean, love," he started fingering you, slow but firm, the filthy sound of your wetness echoing in the room as his fingers curled inside you. "I know how you really feel."
There was no way you could muster up an answer; eyes hazy and jaw slack with arousal, you let him fuck you for what felt like ages without being able to form a single word. Sometimes he'd brush his thumb against you clit just so you'd clench around his hand, whining quietly as he muffled his own sounds on the crook of your neck. Once or twice he appeared to think you were gone enough to not notice as he tried to get his cock away from your body in a futile attempt of self-restraint, but each time you pulled him back by the thigh, grinding into him and getting fucked deeper as a result. Harry punished you for that by pulling harder on your hair, delighting himself in the fact that it only made you wetter, your movements more eager.
As your hips stuttered at another soft touch to your clit, Harry whispered, "Does it feel good?"
What a prick. He wanted you praising him, didn't he? Wanted you admitting how hot this all was, how you would have let him do anything to you. Harry wanted you to tell him how good he was at pushing your every button, clearing every thought on your head until him filling you was all that was left.Â
"What do you think?" you said between gritted teeth. Sweat dripped down the back of your neck as his fingers shifted in your cunt and he hit that particular spot inside you. Your glassy eyes fell shut at the sound of his voice.
"I think I missed this pussy," he said. You moaned as a third finger slid easily beside the others and the hand on your ponytail went down to your throat, over the chain of your necklace. "I think you can tell I did."
You could feel his hand hesitate on your neck, so you squeezed his thigh to assure him it was alright. Within a fraction of a second, the pressure on your throat tightened. If you could look down, you'd see your golden cross gleaming right below the hand he was choking you with. It was too much. You were going to cum and he could feel it.
"You feel incredible," Harry confessed. "I missed you."
You convulsed, a silent scream shaping your mouth as you rode out your orgasm, his three fingers still stuck between your legs. As the aftershocks stopped, you could faintly hear Harry whispering your name, the tenderness in his voice bringing tears to your eyes. But then again, maybe that was the intense orgasm.Â
âAre you okay?â
His easygoing voice, usually so grating, sounded quite comforting now. You relaxed your thighs, and the sound of his fingers leaving you was just a little louder than the sigh you couldnât hold back. You mumbled an agreement to his question, and you could feel his smile at the back of your neck as he said, âJust sensitive, then.âÂ
A beat of heavy silence, and then: âCan I touch you?â
He didnât answer right away, even though you could still feel him hard behind you, and it killed you a little bit inside. You were about to roll away from him, already forming an excuse about cleaning up, when he spoke.
âYou donât have to,â he didnât sound like he was smiling anymore. You wanted to turn and check, to look into his green eyes and try to find out what he was thinking, but you were scared. If his hesitation meant that you had been vulnerable for him when he couldnât do the same for youâ âI donât want you to think that's why I apologized."Â
You rolled your eyes at his chivalry, but were relieved by it all the same.Â
âStyles,â you said. âIâm trusting you here.â
âYeah?â
âYeah,â you finally rolled on the mattress so you could meet his eye. âNow take off your shorts.â
He smirked as you shoved the comforter off of both of your bodies, taking a second too long to admire the dimly lit outline of his body. âYâthink youâre gonna boss me around now, huh?â
âI think youâre gonna let me, if it gets you off,â you shrug.
Harry opens his mouth to argue, but stays silent once he sees you reaching for the hem of your t-shirt. You throw it to the ground and hope he doesnât notice your expression as you make a mental note to pick it up later, but thatâs obviously unnecessary since heâs staring at your chest, the glinting of the cross between your boobs and your hard nipples monopolizing his attention. His right hand, still messy with your juices, reaches out to touch you, but you lean back and make him watch as you lower your shorts and underwear in one go before kneeling back on the bed.Â
âSo?âÂ
He shook his head, unbelieving, and took one final look at your naked body before meeting your eyes. âYou love this, donât you?â
Harry undressed like youâd done; t-shirt, then shorts, then kneeling back on the bed. You wanted to look down at his cock, see the proof of how much you got to him, but couldnât leave his gaze. There you both stood on your knees, silently staring at each otherâs mere silhouettes. Like the gold of your chain, the pearls on his neck were more visible than the rest of him. âYou love talking like weâre at some game you can win,â he clarified, smiling.Â
âAre you saying you donât do the same?â skepticism dripped down your words.
âIâm saying you canât win.â
The way he could go from earnest to cocky in the blink of an eye was sort of giving you whiplash. It did make things interesting, though. He threw whatever he felt like saying your way, apparently without thinking twice; for the second time that night, you surprised yourself by thinking of him as brave.Â
His clean hand came to touch your face, his thumb brushing your cheek in the most romantic gesture you had witnessed since heâd held your hand all the way back to his place when you were graduating university. Harry called your name like a prayer.
âCan I kiss you?â
It was such a weird question, considering youâd just cum all over his hand. But it felt so fitting, so right. Being attracted to him and having teasing banter were not questionable, that was just how you operated. It had been taken to an extreme, sure, but it wasnât new. This was new. You nodded anyway.
He met you halfway, his lips tasting yours as your bare bodies touched for the first time in years. You whimpered into each other's mouths, Harry's hands tangled in your hair while you held his face like it could break. You could feel his erection between you, twitching every now and again when your tongue dragged against his, some precum getting on your belly.Â
"H," you moaned between kisses when one of his hands descended to your chest and teased your nipple.Â
He stopped kissing you for a second too long, leaving your swollen lips tingling as you waited for him to catch his breath. But he didn't kiss you again, just stood there touching your boob and the back of your neck, eyes going over every inch of your face. You could feel yourself blushing at the attention, already at the brink of an awkward giggle, when he said quietly "You haven't called me that in a while," he cupped your face gently, then planted the ghost of a soft kiss to your lips. "I like it."
You smiled and kissed him again, because you were worried about what you would say if you put that kiss into words. Each feverish movement brought you closer until you were practically on top of him, sitting on his thigh. Harry grabbed your ass, urging you to move; you gasped as he pushed you to grind on his leg, no longer able to keep kissing his lips but definitely working on making a mess of his thigh.Â
"Love," he whispered in your ear. "I really wanna fuck you. Can we do that?"
The nails digging into his back made Harry let out a breathy laugh. You made a move to touch his dick, but his hand grabbed yours right before you could. "I want you to cum on my thigh first."
"But youâ"Â
You sounded broken, legs burning as you rode his thigh frantically.
"I'll have my way with you, don't worry," he said. "So desperate to get on my dick, aren't you?"
The only sound of outrage you could muster was a low growl as you threw your head back, neck exposed for his teeth as your clit pulsed against the muscle of his leg. Harry kept holding onto you, assisting your every move as his lips worked on your neck. The sharp sting of his teeth followed by his tongue as he tended to the bruises he had just created, his soft curls on the side of your face, a tight grip on your ass and your back.Â
"Are you going to come for me again so I can fuck that pussy like I've been wanting to?"Â
Your hips stuttered and you came for the second time, whimpering and refusing to let him go as he gently laid you down on your back, still shaking. Harry tried to get up but you wouldnât let his shoulders go, and he laughed against your lips as your mouth searched for his.Â
âYâknow,â you said, voice sounding unnaturally raspy, words practically breathed into his mouth. âYou canât talk like that.â
âYeah? Why is that?â
âItâs not fair, H.â
He didnât argue with that. You felt him reaching between your bodies, hissing a little when he touched himself. âIâll make it fair,â he told you. âLike it used to be. Okay?â
Maybe you had been made insane by your post-orgasm haze, because that made perfect sense. You nodded, not a bit of hesitation, as he teased your oversensitive clit with the head of his cock.
âDonât tease, Styles,â you said, and it sounded so much more like your usual self that it brought a sparkle of defiance to Harryâs eyes. âDonât even think about it.â
He arched an eyebrow, smirking, but seemed to give in to your command. âYou know me too well.âÂ
Then he fucked into you slowly, and you could feel your cunt gripping his every inch as he bit into your neck again, muffling whatever sounds he felt like making. His pearls hung between you as he thrusted, losing all the control he had seconds ago. Harry was doing it fast and hard, a little out of it, until you caught his necklace between your teeth and he moved his hips with such precision that you held back a scream.
"Like that, huh?"
He grabbed one of your thighs and lifted it just enough to get the same angle everytime he moved into you. Your wetness made a mess of his crotch and the insides of your thighs, your eyes rolled behind your now closed eyelids, you drooled all over his pearls. Harry called your name, desperate, when you pulled his hair with enough strength to leave his scalp sore.
"I can't," he mumbled into your ruined neck, holding your thigh so hard it would be sure to bruise as he used his other arm as leverage to fuck you, fist tight on the comforter. "Sorry, love."
He moved as if he'd pull out, and you held him closer, letting his necklace fall from your lips. "No, H," you said. "It's ok."
His brows furrowed as he hesitated, torn between listening to your words or his own head, that knew better than to cum inside you. Not wearing a condom had been reckless enough, and he wasnât a stupid kid anymore.Â
âIâm on the pill,â you told him. A particularly sharp thrust followed your statement, and you turned your face away from him, staring at the arm supporting his body so Harry wouldnât see the entirely fucked-out look on your face. You kissed his bicep softly, just a drag of your panting lips against his skin. âJust give it to me.â
That was enough for him to cum with a low drawn out groan followed by a quiet whimper of your name, body shaking over your own. Barely any time had passed when he pulled out of you, spilling onto your sheets and your thighs. You shivered, feeling his cum staining your skin as he mumbled nonsense into your throat.
Apparently the nonsense meant he still wasnât done with you, because Harry started kissing down your side as soon as his legs could move enough to get him up the bed and kneeling on the ground. âStyles,â you said urgently, sitting up. âYou donâtââ
âShut up,â he said against the crook of your hip.
âDonât be a dickââ
He interrupted you by licking a stripe from your entrance, still dripping in his cum, to your neglected clit. You cried out, too sensitive, as he licked, sucked, and kissed your swollen flesh until he had you coming for a third time, his chin glistening with the mess you made together as your lifeless body fell back on the bed.Â
Harry stood up, still shaking a little, and pulled the comforter over you before falling onto the bed himself.
âNext time we do this,â he said, breathless, while you were still twitching from your last orgasm, and you found that very presumptuous of him. âIâll bring over that old t-shirt so you can wear it.â
You turned slowly onto your side so you could face him, letting him see your puzzled expression. Then you remembered what he was talking about. That morning, with you in his kitchen, you had been wearing his but daddy, I love him t-shirt. You laughed, incredulous.
âWant me to call you daddy, H?â you joked.Â
His cock twitched against your thigh. âOh my God,â you cried out, cheeks hurting a little because you couldnât help the widest smile. âI canât believe you!â
The echo of his laughter followed you to sleep.
-
Harry woke up to silence and an empty bed. From where you sat at the kitchen counter, you could see him anxiously looking around as if heâd find at any second that you had panicked and left, abandoning him in your own apartment. The moments he spent searching for you made guilt tug at your heart; he knew you could, at any second, decide to pretend last night hadnât happened.Â
But the fact that you could didnât mean that you would do it, so when he finally turned on the bed and met your eyes, you smiled softly.
âGood morning, Styles,â you said. âHow do you feel about tea?â
You lifted your own mug in a sort of awkward toast. Harry didnât seem to mind, though. He just smiled and nodded, hoping that would suffice as an answer.Â
âYour clothes are in the dresser, but you can just take mine if theyâre more comfortable.â
Harry dressed in silence, his cream sweater over your boxer shorts, as you poured his tea. You laid his mug beside your own, watching him. His hair was adorably disheveled, eyes a little swollen with sleep, and his thighs looked just as amazing as last night in your clothes. He also looked very cozy in his sweater, and the realisation that you wanted to hug him didnât scare you as much as it would have yesterday.Â
âThank you,â he mumbled, rubbing at his eyes with one hand and grabbing his tea from the counter with the other. He looked at you, fresh out of the shower and wearing a cardigan over a sundress, like Markham and your kitchenette had collided to form an outfit. âYou look good.â
You shrugged but smiled, a relatively comfortable silence falling over the both of you.
âWe should talkââ
âDo you want toââ
Harry put his mug to his lips to let you know you could speak first. You cleared your throat, at a loss for words.
"Last night was nice."
What a poet. Harry smirked, but didn't interrupt you.
"And Iââ you took a deep breath, shifting your gaze to his hands so you wouldn't have to look him in the eye. He had very nice hands. "I'm sorry for the past couple years, too. I felt like you were trying to make my life harder just for a laugh, using whatever good thing had happened between us to hurt me. It made a little bitter."
He arched an eyebrow.
"Very bitter."
"And I was very childish," he said. "I was upset that you treated me like a stranger when I got to Markham, and I became a little shit about the whole thing."
"I justâI wanted to make something out of myself here. And then you showed up and I couldn't be that person around you. It drove me mad," you finally looked up at him. "You drive me mad."
Harry carefully put his mug on the counter, then took yours from you and did the same. With warm hands, he held your face while planting the sweetest kiss on your mouth.
"We'll do better," he whispered against your lips. "Won't we?"Â
"Yeah," you whispered back. "We will."
-
But first, payback. Harry Styles could fuck you to the moon and back, or whatever it was he'd spent the last weekend doing, but he would not get away with last week's little stunt, or with robbing you of precious room 103. Your beige heels clicked on the creaking floors of the disgusting classroom where you taught on Mondays as you talked your students through next weekâs lesson plan. Was it a little beyond your qualifications as someone with a master's on Literature? Yes. Would that stop you? Absolutely not. They seemed excited about the whole ordeal, and that was enough to convince you that you weren't being a bad teacher, exactly. Good teachers were fun, right?Â
Maybe Harry had been a good teacher all along. Having that nice, kind thought cleared your conscience entirely as you proceeded with your plan.Â
The teasing between you two wasnât entirely gone throughout the week, but it did lose most of its mean edge. Calling him a fucking hippie, or whatever was something that could apparently be accomplished in a much more tender tone, the one you also used to say âFuck off, H,â when he jokingly called you Professor Umbridge. Every day of the week he had driven you home after class, bought dinner that you ate together on your bed, and kissed your neck in very particular spots. Talking to him was surprisingly easy, and you could entertain each other for hours only by telling weird anecdotes both from university and Markham, friends and professors and colleagues and students all becoming the background to the life you had lived together even though you were apart. There was also so much you still had to learn about one another, childhood and teenage years and post-grad, and the time for all of it would eventually come. Now was the time for retribution.Â
It was the next Monday, and both of your classes had started a few minutes ago. Well, his had. Your students were all standing around the corridor on the first floor, silently waiting in costume for their cue.Â
The fact that Harry was so soft spoken made it pretty hard for you to pick an appropriately disturbing time to get the plan going, but at some point you could hear a few of his studentsâ voices. Assuming that meant a discussion was taking place, you nodded towards Richard, your Romeo, and he stepped forward.
Some of the other Drama students followed suit, prop torches in hand as the scene indicated, and together they burst into room 103 as Richard, with the poise of a Shakespearean character, recited loudly: âWhat, shall this speech be spoke for our excuse?â
Khalil, head held high, walked in right after and spoke as Benvolio.Â
As the student playing Mercutio was saying something about gentle Romeo, you walked up the classroom door.Â
Harry was standing behind his desk, your golden cross shining beneath his pearls; you had put the necklace on him as a joke during your Saturday dinner and he hadnât taken it off since. His brows were furrowed and his mouth gaping as if he had forgotten to close it, while his students appeared to be mildly amused. Your kids without speaking parts were pacing between rows of desks on their way to a nonexistent ball as Mercutio, standing right before Harry, called to the Romeo at the back of the room.Â
âYou are a lover. Borrow Cupidâs wings and soar with them above a common bound.â
Harry smiled, and the part of you seeking silly revenge took the backseat for the slightest moment. He seemed to get over the initial shock of the disruption and watched them with a delighted curiosity.Â
âIs love a tender thing?â Richard asked his classmate, but he couldâve been talking to the music professor. âIs it too rough , too rude, too boistârous, and it pricks like thorn.â
Green eyes searched for you and found you leaning on the wooden door, ankles crossed nonchalantly and a triumphant smile on your face.Â
âIf love be rough with you,â Mercutio told Romeo,âbe rough with love. Prick love for pricking, and you beat love down.â
But Harry was not watching them anymore as you mouthed âGot you, Stylesâ, the scene unfolding behind the two of you as you won.Â

Chapter 3 of "I'M GOIN'..." is done! Here's the AO3 link. Or read it below. (...Or don't read it at all. I'm not your mother. Do what you want....but don't forget to brush your teeth. And get a decent amount of sleep. And brush your hair. And-)
I'M GOIN'... Chapter 3: "Friendship"
Danny went home after a couple long days in the hospital. He was glad to be home. The very first thing he did was run to his bedroom, jump onto his bed, and look up at the stars on his ceiling. He heaved a heavy sigh, naming the stars, looking for his favorite constellations. Maybe things would be back to normal soon.
He was just beginning to believe that things were still normal, that things were safe, when suddenly his arm fell through his bed. A yelp escaped him as he pulled his arm back out of the mattress. "Danny? Are you okay?" Jazz poked her head into his room, her eyebrows knit in concern. "Is something wrong?"
"Everything's fine Jazz." Danny scowled lightly and crossed his arms over his chest. He really hoped that she didn't see anything. "I just want some time alone if you don't mind."
"Oâokay." Jazz's eyebrows somehow managed to knit together even tighter. "I'll leave you alone for a bit then." She looked a little hurt, and plenty worried. But Danny didn't really care. He was too caught up in his own panic, because as Jazz left the room, his legs both seemed to vanish.
He stopped himself from screaming, and tried to make his lower-half visible again. The issue was, that Danny didn't know how to control what was happening to him.
Danny was panicking. He changed. He was different. He wasn't himself anymore. There was a flash of white light, and then he was different. He could feel it. See it. And sense it all at once. And he didn't know how to change back.
He was practically touching the ceiling and curling in on himself because he was freaking out.
Then his bedroom door opened. And shut. So quickly he almost didn't notice. There in front of him stood Sam and Tucker, looking concerned.
Danny suddenly turned back to normal, and fell hard on his bed. His panic didn't die down though. "Guys! IâŠ.it...just"
"Danny, calm down. It's okay. We're here to help." Tucker sat on Danny's bed, and put a hand on his knee. "Best friends don't leave best friends to deal with sudden mutations on their own." Danny looked over at Sam who nodded her agreement.
"We're not going anywhere."
"W-what am I?" Danny's choice cracked. "I'm notânot completely human anymore. I canâI can tell. I can feel it when I change. So what am I?" Sam and Tucker shared a concerned look.
"We'll have to figure that out together." Tucker scooted closer to Danny, and elbowed him lightly. "I'm sure your parents have something that can tell us what's going on."
"Y-yeah. You're right." Danny nodded.
Â
Tucker handed him a small acrylic pin. It looked like a classic alien head, and the bottom said 'out of this world.'
"I thought you were gonna stop with the pins for a while Tuck?"
"After everything that happened, I think this is a justified purchase." Tucker said with a shrug. "Plus Sam brought you a couple things too." Sam stuck her tongue out at Tucker before tossing a plastic shopping bag at Danny.
"Here. For your collection." Danny looked inside and saw four 'Ghostie Energy' cans in bright colors.
"Thanks. You guys rock." Danny smiled softly at his two best friends, and gave Tucker a half-hug. "Let me put these away, then we can raid the fridge downstairs."
Getting downstairs proved to be a slight challenge, when Danny's left leg suddenly fell through the second step. He almost fell all the way down, luckily Sam and Tucker had fast enough reflexes to catch him before any real damage was done.
Danny's parents were both in the kitchen working on some new project. It looked like a handheld computer of some kind. "Hey Dad, we're gonna get some snacks from the fridge and play some video games in the living room, okay?"
"Alright Danno. Just try not to make a mess okay?" Dad looked up from the blueprints he was studying.
"Sure thing Dad." Danny flashed a smile at his Dad as he opened the fridge up.
"Danny, could you Thank your friend for calling an ambulance for you after your accident, for me?" Mom had her goggles pulled down but Danny could still tell she was looking directly at him.
"Okay. Guys my mom says thanks." Danny said distractedly as he grabbed more snack foods from the cabinets.
"No, your other friend. The athletic one." Dad chimed in while writing a note.
"Athletic one?..." Danny almost dropped his armload of snacks when he realized who his parents were talking about. Then it hit him, he realized the one thing he had been trying not to think about. Kwan. Saw everything. Kwan saw what happened to him! "You mean Kwan?" Danny managed to choke out. "He's not really a friend. He was probably here looking for Jazz."
"Still. Make sure to thank him for us." Mom smiled sadly. "I don't know what we would have done if he hadn't called for an ambulance." She shuddered, and Danny nodded.
"Yeah okay." Danny nudged Tucker on the arm and handed him some of the snacks. "We'll be in the living room. We might head back upstairs in a little while though."
"Alright. You kids have fun!" Dad said, with a slightly distracted wave.

Meanwhile, Kwan tried not to think about everything that had happened at the Fenton's. Over the past few days he had been mainly attempting to pretend that it hadn't happened, and that he has been in no way involved. Although that didn't really happen, because The A-List inadvertently "adopted" Jazz into their group...at least tentatively.
Kwan looked up as Dash entered through his front door, dragging along a slightly confused looking Jazz. "Hey, Kwan." Dash tossed a football softly at him. "You wanna hang? The other girls already packed an entire picnic." Kwan couldn't help but grin at that.
"That sounds great actually. But, when did Star have the time to pack a picnic?" Kwan and Dash both knew that Paulina wouldn't pack anything herself unless she was forced to, and Val was absolute trash in the kitchen. Dash shrugged.
"No clue. 'Lina just called me about half an hour ago, and asked if we could all hang and have a picnic, I said sure, got Jazz, and now I'm grabbing you." Dash grinned as they started making their way toward their usual picnic spot in the park. (Luckily Kwan lived close by.)
As they reached the picnic spot the rest of the girls were all doing their own things. Star was weaving together flower crowns, Paulina was reading a fashion magazine, and Valerie was laying on her back on the picnic blanket, watching the clouds.
"Hey! Did we miss anything exciting?" Kwan skipped a little bit as they got closer.
"Nah. Star made PB&Js for everyone except 'Lina." Val said, sitting up to make room on the picnic blanket.
"No worries though! I made her a very nice sunflower butter and honey sandwich." Star dropped the flower crown she was working on and leaned over to hug Paulina.
"You guys do this kinda thing often then?" Jazz asked as she sat down.
"Not all the time, but whenever we get the chance." Kwan told her, he sat next to her and smiled. "How's your brother doing?" He didn't want to think about all the things that happened, but he did want to make sure that the Fentons were all doing alright.
"He's doing better, thanks for asking. He's back to kicking me out of his room, only talking to his friends. So that's a big plus." Jazz gave a half-hearted shrug.
"I'm so glad things are getting better!" Star beamed. "If you need anyone to talk to, you're welcome to talk with us." As if to prove her point, Star placed the crown she'd been working on, on top of Jazz's head.
Kwan looked over at Dash and Paulina, he knew those two worked hard to make sure the A-List was only the most popular kids in Casper High. Dash looked uneasy, and Paulina looked like she was working out who could possibly be bumped out of the group. While Jazz and Star kept talking about the picnic, Kwan pulled Dash and Paulina aside to discuss it.
"Guys. I think it's fine. We don't have to be an exclusive group. Plus, we all know that Jazz is cool. No one would question her hanging with us." Kwan kept his voice low.
"It's not her that we're concerned about." Dash admitted softly. "Her parents really take her down the social ladder." The football star sighed. "I just don't know if she's got enough to stand on her own in the social climate."
"Plus she's just a tad nerdy." Paulina wrinkled her nose. "We don't want nerds. That takes us from the A-List, to like⊠the F-List."
"Guys. She isn't that nerdy. Plus we've all needed her help with homework plenty of times." Kwan defended. "She's good at moving between social groups anyway. So we don't have to make her an official A-Lister. We just need to be open to talking with her in public." Dash and Paulina still looked unconvinced. "We have been hanging with her for the past few days already. We brought her along on a picnic for goodness sakes! Get a grip! We're the only ones who care about social standing!" It took everything in him not to yell. Kwan had to stop and take a deep breath, otherwise he might have snapped.
"Kwan. We can let her join peripherally. Anything more than that and...you know how it is." Dash held his hands up in surrender sign of mock surrender.
"Dash. You're my best friend. I would jump off a bridge for you." Kwan narrowed his eyes. "But if you're lying to me. If you don't put your best effort into making this work out. I'll step down and let her take my spot on the A-List." Kwan didn't know where this was coming from, but he did recognize that Jazz needed friends. Especially right now.
"I'll do my best. Let's get back to the picnic and have some fun." Dash lightly punched Kwan on the arm, and Kwan relaxed. He knew Dash would keep his word, he may have overreacted a bit.

Co-Conspirators
Pairs: Aaron Hotchner x Reader
Words: 5421
Summary: Getting your career at the BAU started gets interesting when you realize you're attracted to your boss.
Warnings: None
Notes: Left completely gender-neutral. I had been interested in watching Criminal Minds for a long time, but a friend of mine finally got me to start it. Suffice to say my damn ass completely fell for Hotch. Was there other things I was planning on writing⊠Yes⊠but I couldn't help myself. Hopefully, now my obsession will chill out enough I can work on other projects for a bit.
I found this writing prompt @witterpromptsâ and went with it. The original prompt is below.
"Look, I think it's a fairly simple question. Do you or don't you want me to work with you?"
Continuation of Co-Conspirators âPart 1*âPart 2âPart 3âPart 4âPart 5 âPart 6
You had initially gone to college for something completely different. Or at least you planned on using your degree for something else. One of your classes had Jason Gideon come in as a guest speaker, which sparked an epiphany. So you picked up some extra classes and buckled down, reading as many books as you could on the subject, David Rossiâs books were among the ones you read. Whatever college social life you may have had was put on the back burner, so you could pour all your energy into learning. It took a lot of hard work, but you managed to do it. You wanted to help people. This seemed like one of the best ways you could do that. When you were ready, you pushed ahead and got an interview with the Behavioral Analysis Unit at Quantico.
You had been beyond nervous. For the past few years, you had been training for this moment. So you steeled yourself before going into the FBI building. You made sure to wear something very professional, wanting to make an excellent first impression. Walking into the building was easy enough. When you got into the BAU area, you saw some of the other employees there. They were already watching you. It was easy to tell that they knew you were there for the job opening. While you walked up the stairs, you tried to absorb all the information around you. You reached the office and knocked on a door that read 'S.S.A. Aaron Hotchner', the man who would be interviewing you. You heard a voice call you in. You were thrown off when you entered Hotchner's office. He was older than you, but even with that scowl sculpted into his face, you immediately found him attractive. So that caused you to begin your interview precariously. You knew he was a profiler, so you did your best to bury your attraction to him. Agent Hotchner was your boss. You were going to handle this professionally. You closed the door behind you, "Nice to meet you, Agent Hotchner." You introduce yourself as you take a few steps closer before stopping a respectable distance from him. Hotchner motions to the chair on the other side of his desk, "Sit. Despite what the other profilers might say, I don't bite." You chuckle, moving to sit in the chair. Hotchner moved some papers around on his overflowing desk, âHotch is fine.â He looked over what seemed to be your personal file. You weren't sure what to expect before you came here. There were rumors about the team and gossip sure. Agent Hotchner was supposed to be intimidating and mean. While he gave off those vibes at first glance, that wasnât the feeling you got from Hotch when you took a second to read him. Hotch looked up at you from your file, âYour look qualified for the job, but youâre young. What makes you better for this job than other applicants with more experience.â You hum, quickly thinking to yourself. You make sure to thoroughly look around the room, trying to get every detail. You look back at your interviewer, âThere are no other applicants.â You said with a very matter the fact tone. Hotch leans back in his chair, a ghost of a smirk on his face. âWhat makes you say that?â You sit up enough to get another look at the files on his desk, âAll these files are paperwork for cases, the dates, and how they are labeled. Applications arenât labeled like that.â Hotch narrows his eyes at you, signaling for you to continue. You smile, âYou donât have any other applications on your desk. Which means either Iâm your last applicant or there were no others. â You glance down at your watch, âJudging by the time of day, the stacks of paperwork on your desk, and the bags under your eyes, you donât have a lot of time for interviews. This is why youâre doing this on your lunch break, and I donât think youâve actually eaten lunch yet. I imagine you would have scheduled all your interviews in one day to get it taken care of quickly. Limited time, limited people you are willing to bring in and try to fit into your already busy schedule. I'm guessing that I am the only applicant.â You pause and shrug, âI suppose I could also be the only application you deemed had enough potential.â Hotch leaned forward again, closing your file, âCan you start tomorrow?â
You curiously peek at the papers on his desk. Interestingly trying to see if you missed anything as you respond, âI can start right now if you need me tooâŠâ You pause for a second, before looking back up at Hotch, âWas I right?â Hotch tucks your file away, âYes.â You perk up. You had done exercises in classes and during training, but you always found them too easy. So being able to test your skills on something more challenging and being right was exciting, âWhich one I am then? Only applicant?â You assumed you were the only one. Figuring if someone with more experience had applied, they would have easily won out over you. Hotch shakes his head, âThe only file I saw with enough potential to bring in was yours.â You slowly stand up, making a curious noise. âThank you, then.â You reach out your hand. Hotch raises his eyebrows and shakes your hand, âDonât thank me yet, You'll still have to prove yourself in the field.â
That was how you got your job with the BAU. To start out, Hotch partnered you and him together a lot, you were assuming it was a probationary situation. You did some cases with other people while you were learning. After you had been at the job long enough to handle yourself, you were still partnered with Hotch most of the time. Part of you chalked it up to the fact that you could handle Hotchâs grumpy and bully-like behavior. Quickly the whole team became your family. You spent most of your time at work, which meant you spent all your time with the team. You enjoyed hanging out with everyone on the team.
Emily would help you learn new languages if there was time. You found it oddly soothing listening to Reid talk about whatever he was excited about at the moment, plus you usually learned something. Rossi shared a love for classic art, the two of you also shared a love of snarky banter. You and Penelope shared anything nerdy with each other, whether it was movies, shows, or comics. Derek would discuss books with you, and he would introduce you to new music. You were always happy to look at pictures of Henry while talking about family life with JJ. You and Hotch were workaholics together. Hotch got onto you about it a few times, but you always turned it back on him. It was hard to explain, you and Hotch kind of just gravitated to each other. There was always a calm mutual understanding between the two of you. Working so closely with Hotch didn't exactly help with your attraction to him. You were a professional. So you ignored it for the most part. You had resigned yourself to the fact that Hotch wasn't interested in you. Even if he was interested, he was such a stickler for rules that it wouldnât matter.
You had been good at remaining professional for a few years. However, you slipped up one night when you and the team went out to celebrate. A case had gone really well, and you all knew you deserved a break. Emily and Derek were the first two to get the idea rolling. Soon everyone was ready and willing to go, except Hotch. Since you both worked way too much when the team went out, it was usually down to either you or Hotch to be what Penelope lovingly referred to as the âdesignated buzzkillâ. You agreed to go but kept wondering if you should invite Hotch. Reid quickly caught onto how you were glancing up towards Hotchâs office, âShouldnât we invite Hotch?â Everyone except you and Reid made a face. It was a collective look of âWe could try, but heâll just say no.â Their skeptical looks sealed it for you. You moved away from your desk and to the stairs, âIâll ask him.â Penelope let out an excited squeak, practically bouncing as she spoke, âYouâre the only one of us who can speak fluent âHotchnerâ. You can do it, sugar.â You chuckled and rolled your eyes as you walked up the stairs. You knocked on Hotchâs office door but didnât even wait for a response before going right in. You and the team had only been back for maybe 30 minutes, and Hotch had already buried himself in paperwork. You walk over and sit in the chair in front of his desk. Hotch doesnât even look up as he addresses you, âYes?â You shift about in the chair using the sweetest voice you could muster, âWe have all been talkingâŠâ Hotch looks up, cutting you off âA night out? I have paperwork.â Hotch had his scowl on, but it no longer affected you unless he was mad at you personally. You grin at him, âIt will be fun.â Hotch just stared at you, waiting. You sighed and rolled your eyes quickly, dropping being overly nice, âWhy do you make me do this?â Hotch leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. A smirk threatens to slide onto his face, Hotch still just stares at you. You glare at him, âFine, you asked for it.â Hotch just waits, already knowing he pushed you to the point where you lose your verbal filter. While he had gotten onto you before for your lack of filter on cases, you think he enjoyed it when you spoke candidly in more casual situations. You point to his desk, âWhen is the last time you went somewhere that wasn't this building, the plane, or a company car?â Hotch goes to protest. This time you cut him off, âThis stack of paperwork has been like this since you hired me... What two years ago now? You always do all your work. Go above and beyond. The files have changed, but the stack remains the same size. It can wait twelve more hours. At which point, youâll realize trying to sleep is pointless. You'll come into work early anyway.â Hotch makes a face, doing what he does best and avoids the main parts of your argument, âItâs been two years and six months.â You open your mouth, ready to argue again, but are temporally confused. âWhat?â Hotch moves some papers around, âItâs been two years and six months since I hired you.â You gave him another confused look, âYou remember how long it has been?â Hotch once again dodges the main issue. âAlso, Iâd like to point out that you also havenât been anywhere other than here or on a case in a while, either.â You scoff, âI totally haveâŠâ Hotch rolls his eyes, âSleeping in your car in the company parking lot doesnât count.â You grumble and lean back in the chair. You decide to do what Hotch does and just avoid that statement, âWhat if I promised you I would help you with the paperwork after the teamsâ little night out?â You could tell you were starting to win when Hotch sat up in his chair. Hotch motioned to the paperwork on his desk, âThis is important.â You stand up and put your hands on his desk, raising your voice in a nonaggressive manner, âMental health is important too.â You glare down at Hotch, âAnd I swear to god if I have to drag Reid in here and make you listen to the statistics about mental wellbeing and overworking yourself, I will be so pissed.â You get a bit more dramatic with your voice, âAaron Hotchner, I already got that lecture from him the other day. If I have to listen to it again just to get you to go to the bar with us, I will.â Hotch puts his hands up in defeat before pushing himself away from his desk, âPlease donât subject me to that.â Hotch stands up, and you start grinning, âThank you for caving.â You walk to the office door, waiting. When you looked through the window, the whole team automatically looked away. Trying to hide the fact they had been watching. You chuckle, shaking your head at how bad they were at âacting casualâ. You walk down the stairs, âStop pretending you weren't paying attention. Bossman agreed to join us.â Derek claps you on the back, âThe boss whisperer has triumphed for us once more.â You roll your eyes, going over to your desk. âWhy do you all act like Hotch speaks a completely different language?â JJ giggles, commenting, âAsks the only person who understands him half the time.â Hotch walks down the stairs from his office, âLetâs keep it that way. If the rest of you catch on, then Iâm doomed.â You laugh. Now that you all were ready, it was time to go. The team went back to their excited chattering as you left the building as a group.
At the bar, the team stayed together for the first few drinks. After that, though, everyone slowly splintered off on their own. You flitted from each small group for a while until like always, you ended up sitting next to Hotch. Hotch was nursing a drink while watching the rest of the team have fun. You ordered another drink. After a few moments of comfortable silence, you spoke up, âWe are supposed to be having fun.â Hotch chuckles, âIs sitting over here with your boss your definition of fun?â You smile leaning back against the counter to relax, âActually yes.â You take a large drink from your glass, turning to look at Hotch, âBut you knew that already.â Hotch turns to face you, âI do. Itâs the âwhyâ I could never figure out.â You laugh, playing with the small amount of alcohol in your glass, âYouâre a profiler, you tell me.â Hotch glared at you before taking another drink. You couldnât help the cocky look that fell onto your face. Hotch looks back out at the mixture of people floating around the room, âReally want to go down this road?â You scoff, getting another drink, âHit me with your best shot Hotch.â
Hotch motions to all the people mingling in the bar, âYouâre as bad of a workaholic like I am. So you donât have a personal life.â You make a fake offended noise, but let Hotch continue. âYou find flaws in anyone who would be considered a potential romantic interest before even speaking to them. Convincing yourself, there is no use in trying.â Hotch glances back over to you, âIt's why you like hanging out with me that I don't understand.â You cock your head, âIâll answer that after I correct you on a few points.â Hotch crosses his arms, leaning back, waiting. You chuckle, âYou guys are my personal life, my family. Your right about the romantic interest part, though... Hard to stay interested in someone when you can profile them in one glance...â You pause before knocking back your drink, âI like grouchy, serious people. Lots of nice silence that isnât awkward gives me time to think. No bullshit, youâll tell me if I did something wrong or whatever else. Plus, My mouth normally gets me in trouble but not around you. I can be a sarcastic asshole or brutally honest.â Hotch makes a noise, âYour mouth is a huge problem.â You nervously rub the back of your neck and chuckle, âI mean⊠Iâve at least gotten better when we are on the job.â Hotch smirks, âYou have.â He pauses for a second, âWhat else? Youâre leaving something out.â This is the point where you would usually come up with a convincing lie to hide the fact you had feelings for Hotch. You were a few drinks in. You could handle your liquor, so you werenât drunk per se, but you had drunk enough that you didnât really think about the need to lie. You smile to yourself as you let out a small hum, âBecause⊠seeing a sullen person smile⊠and I don't mean smirking⊠a genuine smile... Itâs a special thing to be able to see that.â You realized that was the first time you had said something like that or even admitted it to yourself. You let out a curious hum. Turning back around in your seat, facing the counter. When Hotch turned around, thatâs when you notice the two of you were shoulder to shoulder now. You glanced over at Hotch. He had a real smile on his face. It made you happy seeing him like that. You forgot where you were and that there were rules against fraternization at work. Hotch was so close to you, so when your eyes met his, all logic left your body. You closed your eyes before leaning in and kissed Hotch.
Hotch even kissed you back. It felt so right that you got caught up in it. Both of you kept kissing each other. That was until your brain quickly started to catch up to what you were doing. It only took a split second for your bliss to come crashing down. You had just kissed your very handsome, regulations focused boss. At a party with your coworkerâs nonetheless. When you realized that you just put both your and Hotchâs job on the line, you pulled away. Hotch looked confused. You couldnât tell if it was because you kissed him or because you stopped kissing him. Not sure what else to do, you decided to bolt. Digging cash out of your pocket before putting it on the counter to pay for your drinks. You avoid looking at Hotch, âI⊠I have to go.â You said it so fast it sounded more like one word then a sentence. You didnât wait for a response. Booking it out of the bar and straight to a taxi to take you home. You were mad at yourself. You managed to stay professional for over two years. Then it only took one night out for you to ruin that. Though deep down, you knew the real reason you were so upset was that kissing Hotch had felt perfect, but there were multiple rules against things like this. You didnât want to forget about that moment but thought it might be easier if either you or Hotch just forgot about it by the time morning rolled around. As soon as you went home, you went straight to bed, hoping to sleep it off.
When you woke up a few hours later, you hadnât forgotten. It was actually the first thing you thought about. Making you realize that maybe it was more than a crush you had on Hotch. You pushed the thought back in your mind and decided to just go into work. Knowing you couldnât go back to sleep even if you wanted to. Even though you were walking into work a few hours before anyone else should be there, you werenât surprised when you saw Hotchâs car already here. You had your fingers crossed that he had forgotten about last night, and you never had to think about this ever again. When you walked into the bullpen, you got your answer. Usually, when you came in early for whatever reason, especially helping him with paperwork, you would sit in Hotchâs office while you both worked quietly. However, today Hotchâs office door was closed. The paperwork you had promised to help him with was sitting on your desk. Last night may have just fucked up your usual routine and, even worse, a friendship. You sighed to yourself and just sat down at your desk and worked.
Over the next few months, it only got worse. Where you and Hotch typically gravitated to each other, now you were both constantly apart. He no longer paired you two together on cases, never sat next to each other on the plane. The worst part was probably the early and late hours both you and Hotch always worked. You both were the only two in this part of the building at those times, and still, there was no real communication between the two of you. Just basic, stiff sentences. Neither you or Hotch talked outside of team meetings and cases. It was a shock to your system considering how close you two had been before that night at the bar. But you felt you had no one to blame but yourself. You also felt lucky you still had your job considering Hotch could have fired you.
You reached your breaking point one random morning after a few months of this. It just hit you how much you actually needed to know what was going on. You didnât even care what the answer was, you just wanted to know. So while you and Hotch were still the only two at work, you barged into his office. Before you could even get the door closed, Hotch spoke up, âYes?â You closed the door and crossed your arms, âIf youâre pissed at me, could you go ahead and just say so?â You shouted that louder than you meant to. Hotch furrowed his brow and looked right up at you. You didnât give him a chance to say anything just yet, âI was really drunk, okay? So donât think anything of⊠ofâŠâ You tried to think of what to call it because calling it a kiss reminded you how much you enjoyed it. You subconsciously touched your fingers to your lips. As soon as you noticed, you dropped your hand and continued, âthat situation⊠It meant nothing.â You didnât even believe yourself and knew that Hotch saw right through it too. As an effort to hide more of your feelings, you let out a loud, annoyed huff before standing there and staring at Hotch. Hotch narrowed his eyes at you, testing you. âThen why are you yelling at me about it?â You scoffed a few times before you started walking around. You stayed mindful enough that it didnât look too much like pacing. You calmed your voice, âBecause I feel like Iâm in the dog house because of it. You stopped partnering with me, practically stopped talking to me altogether.â You sigh, âI understand you could have fired me for that drunken mistake. You didnât, and I appreciate it. But if you really hate working with me that much now, just tell me.â Hotch leaned back in his chair and watched you. There was some emotion in his eyes you couldnât pinpoint at the moment. It almost looked like he was amused as he spoke, âYou weren't that drunk.â Hotch moves some papers around on his desk, âYou know, normally anyone else on the team would think being partnered with me constantly would be the punishment. Not the other way around.â You think for a moment watching Hotch, âI donât feel that way about it.â Hotch nodded, âI know.â He looked a bit too amused for your liking. So you started speaking louder again, "Look, I think it's a fairly simple question. Do you or don't you want me to work with you?" You paused, but your nerves got the better of you. You let out a loud sigh before adding mostly to yourself, âI knew my mouth would get me in trouble one day⊠this just isnât the kind of trouble I thought it would be.â Hotch chuckles at your comment, âIâm not mad at you.â You scrunch up your face, confused. Hotchâs voice turns more serious as he finishes, âI do want to work with you, but I separated us because youâre a distraction.â You glare at Hotch, âWhat the fuck do you mean a distraction?â At this point, you may not have been thinking too clearly because you automatically took offense. You fully turned to face Hotch, your body language and tone reflecting your irritation, âWe have worked with each other for over two years. Suddenly Iâm a âdistractionâ?â Hotch stood up, crossing his arms and staring you down. You dug your heels in, âAm I really that bad at my job that Iâm affecting your or the teamâs work?â Hotch started walking over to you, âWill you stop and listen to me for a second?â Hotch had raised his voice just enough to get your attention. It was stern with no real anger behind it. You let out an exasperated huff but stayed quiet. Hotch stopped a few feet in front of you. Even a few feet away, Hotch seemed to tower over you. The serious look that was normally stamped on his face was softer than normal, âYouâre a distraction because I have feelings for you as well.âÂ
You falter for a second, âWhat?â Hotch lets a smile slide onto his face, âYou heard me.â You take a minute to think it over, âThen why didnât you say anything before.â Hotch shrugs, âYouâre the one who ran, and I wanted to cover all my bases.â You glare at him, wondering if this was a joke. Hotch wasnât one for jokes, so it was unlikely, but part of your brain wouldnât accept he was telling the truth. So naturally, you challenge him, âSince when?â Hotch raises his eyebrows at you, âDoes it matter?â You give him a firm nod. Hotch looks off to the side, âLonger than I would care to admitâŠâ Hotch knew you wouldnât be satisfied with that answer, so after a pause, he looked back at you with a smirk on his face, âThe first time you yelled at me. I was able to see how passionate you were. It started then.â You start laughing, âReally? You also wrote me up for that.â Hotch nods, âIt was still against regulations, so, Yes.â Hotch pauses, âWhat about you?â This time the laugh that leaves you is a nervous one, âSince my interview.â You rub the back of your neck, âTall, Dark, and Handsome. What else can I say?â Hotch makes a curious noise, âI just read that as regular nerves, not attraction.â Hotch smirks at you, âIf I had known you had such poor taste, I wouldnât have hired you.â You scoff and roll your eyes, âShut up.â You look out the window down into the bullpen below, âIf âpoor tasteâ is liking a man who is constantly pushing himself to do the right thing and can be an ass at times because of that. Then sure, I have âpoor tasteâ.â Hotch scuffs, âThe word I think you meant to use was jaded.â You smile, looking back over at Hotch, âNope.â You say it very matter of factly, letting the âpâ pop as you speak. You tilt your head and give Hotch a cocky grin, âSo you like being yelled at?â Hotch rolls his eyes, âOnly when you're the one yelling. If I didnât, I would have fired you by now.â You chuckle but then have a serious thought, âHow much trouble are we in?â Hotch sighs, âNone⊠at the moment, but if Strauss catches wind of thisâŠâ It was finally time for other people to start showing up for work, just some background workers. Drawing both you and Hotchâs attention to the window watching over the bullpen. You think, âSo we donât let Strauss catch wind of this.â You tap your foot on the ground. âEveryone on the team hates the bitch, butâŠâ Hotch nods, finishing your thought for you, âBut⊠If we keep it a secret from the team, it will at least buy us time.â Hotch glances at you for a second before looking back out the window, âWhat do you suggest?â You tilt your head from side to side as you think, âWe build upon what the team already knows about⊠We have clearly distanced ourselves from each other. The team has noticed⊠So we make it seem like we are actually mad at each other.â Hotch nods, agreeing with you so far, âAn event about two months ago that would cause this âriftâ...â Hotch scowls while thinking about it. You laugh, âIt is us we are talking about. There are too many things to choose from. The team knows you can be a hard ass, and they know I have a smart-ass mouth.â Hotch chuckles, looking over at you. Your eyes meet for a second, and you canât help but smirk. âAre you willing to get this elaborate with lying to our friends and colleges?â You were joking at first, but you had a serious thought. Your tone quickly changed, âIn all seriousness⊠I donât want to put your job on the line⊠Donât get me wrong I want this, but not so badly that Iâm willing to risk your career without both of us being on the same page.â You look over at Hotch. He furrows his brow, âItâs not just my job. Itâs yours too.â You let out a melancholy chuckle, âIm young, I haven't built up my whole career yet. I could find somewhere else to work.â Hotch shakes his head, âYouâd be miserable.â You shrug and smile, â âMiserableâ is a relative term.â Hotchâs frown sets in deeper on his face, clearly he was starting to rethink things. So you quickly spoke up, âI just want to make sure we are on the same page. Iâm more than willing, but if you want to back out before we break any rules, I want to give you that chance.â Hotch stares at you for a very long moment, âWhat event are we going to use from two months ago?â You smile softly, relieved that he wanted to proceed with things. You thought, âI cursed out that cop which you got onto me for even though the guy totally deserved it.â Hotch smirks, âHe did deserve it but still inappropriate.â You chuckle and nod, âWe could use that⊠act like someone in the department complained about it more and is riding your ass about it. Could combine it with several other things for more drama or leave it at that.â Hotch nods, âWe can work with that.â You move away from the interior window, âWhen everyone gets in, we fake an argument and let the team see it.â Hotch moves back over to his desk, âThey will see it and shouldnât ask too many questions about it.â You sit in the chair in front of his desk, âFrom partners to partners in crime.â Hotch glares at you and rolls his eyes, âCrime makes it sound much worse than it is.â You chuckle, âFine. Why donât we plan something fun then? Maybe it will make you less grumpy.â Hotch sits down, crossing his arms, âSomething fun?â You roll your eyes, âA date. I mean, we literally put all this effort into the lie to cover up something that hasnât even really happened yet.â Hotch smiles, âTomorrow night, we are supposed to have it off.â You give him a smug grin, âItâs official, then Aaron, we're co-conspirators.â With a sigh, Hotch leans back in his chair. As he rubs his temples, you can see a large smile on his face.

I don't know if you answer this one or not. If so, I'll go look for it. Which Highschool cliques would the Batfamily fit into? IE: Goth, Jock, Prep etc.
Dick: the track and field jocks that are really nice and will jump out of the classroom window if they a dog outside just so they can pet it
Jason: the super tough kids who are into something nerdy like literature or board games, but who are so scary that nobody dares make fun of them
Tim: the geeky kids who run the D&D club and trade Yu-Gi-Oh cards under the desks, but who are actually pretty well-respected by the popular crowd
Damian: the uptight, preppy kids who care more about grades than a social life, but are open and willing to help non-preps with exams and tutoring
Duke: the kids who take really good notes and shares them in the class group chat and who make publicly available 200-flashcard Quizlets for the final
Stephanie: the kids who blend in with any group and are pretty unassuming, but they have the most ridiculous Kahoot nicknames and win every time
Cassandra: the kids who go through the lunch line multiple times without ever getting caught and who get straight Aâs despite spending half the class asleep
Harper: the kids who are always lugging some kind of project around, like rolled up poster board or a scale model of Kilimanjaro that takes up an entire table
Carrie: the kids who keep accidentally taking things from the school without returning them. Pens? Library books? The teachersâ bathroom passes? All them
Barbara: the kids that walk teachers through how to use technology and cringe when the teachers fullscreen a video but donât move the mouse out of the way
In case you canât tell, I went through the American public education system

Emma catches a small cold, and after falling asleep at school (and partially on the building), she's sent home, so Avery brings her her homework, and ends up volunteering to hang out with her and help her out with stuff until she feels better, which is a lot harder than Avery initially thought, because Emma's house is difficult for her to navigate without Emma... But she really wants to help so tries to get around without her, hiding the difficulty she's having
-
Big fear/ A crushed dream;
Emma has a nightmare in which she hurts her small friends accidentally, and can't stop thinking about it the next morning. Avery goes to her house to confront her on it, which only makes things worse...
-
Cat fight/ Sibling rivalry;
Andy and Andie are fighting, more than usual, and decide that just because they're siblings doesnt mean they have to be friends, and end up spending some time apart.

Emma and Avery's friends work together to put the two through various scenarios in an attempt to make them finally become a couple, believing they need a push to make it happen. When all else fails, Andy foolishly uses a love bug to get the two to confess their love, as messed up as that is, it gets even worse once he loses the bug.
-
Big problem/Little problem;
Emma gets frustrated at being so big, and wants to be shrunken down, just for a little while. She asks Avery for a potion, but Avery refuses to give her one, causing a fight between the two, it escalates to the point where Emma steals a potion from Avery, that she doesn't know how to use, causing a little problem...
-

This causes her to be split into two versions of herself, a neutral good version, and a chaotic evil version. One Avery keeps running off to help people, while the other keeps running off to hurt people. Unable to tell them apart, people are confused as Avery comes over and causes a problem, then runs back in and fixes it. The two need to be together to be able to reverse the potions affects, but getting the two together and keeping them around long enough to undo it is much easier said than done.
-
Snow way to the dragonlands/ Snow way home;
During the holiday season, Avery is eager to go to the dragonlands and participate in the Fire Festival, but due to heavy snowfall surrounding Tradeskeep, travel is nearly impossible. This makes Avery incredibly upset. That night as she packs a bag, steals several potions from the shop, and leaves to go to the dragonlands. Her parents go to check on her, and when seeing that she was gone began to panic and call around, trying to figure out where she could've possibly gone. Upon receiving the phone calls, people began to go out and look for her. It begins to snow again, meanwhile Avery isn't doing as well as she thought she would, she's cold, tired and hungry, and soon she's lost. Everywhere she looks is just blankets of snow, and new snow fall quickly covers her tracks. There's no way home now, and it's getting colder.
-
Avery, Andy, & Drew;
Avery Andy & Andie have basically known each other since birth, this story basically explains how they grew up together, and how they've changed over the course of time. Andy goes from awkwardly trying to be extroverted and cool to being comfortable with being a quiet nerdy introvert, Drew becomes her true self, Andie, and Avery, well, Avery never really changes. The three of them have been through a lot together, and this slice of life side story just tells some of those tails~

Audrey starts flirting with Emma, and, uh, Emma doesn't seem to be arguing it... Avery tries to brush it off, Audrey sorta just has a flirtatious personality and Emma's really nice... But literally everyone who sees them talking thinks they're hitting on each other, making Avery's anxiety worse about it. She's really worried about Emma seeing how much better Audrey is, and she starts to become genuinely concerned that Emma is losing interest in her... She tries to keep her jealousy and insecurity in check, but Emma can tell somethings up. When they talk about it, something happens that shows Emma how Avery really feels, and Emma tells her that she feels the same way, so though Avery is still mildly annoyed by Audrey, she's not really worried about Emma breaking up with her or leaving her for some one else anymore. After what happened, she realizes how silly she's been.

A head in life/ Do you need a dullahand?;
Frustrated, Sofia shares some of her struggles as a dullahan, which Avery mistakes as an ask for help. She attempts to find ways to help Sofia out, but Sofia just sees it as Avery treating her really weird. Sofia gets mad at Avery, and the draconic thinks that she's not helping enough, so this goes on for a while until Sofia gets really mad, and Avery realizes that she was just venting, and didn't actually need anything. In the end they just sorta laugh about the misunderstanding and become closer because of it. At least now Sofia knows she can a ask Avery for help when and if she needs it.

Mercenaries Micheal and Kalvin are in search of treasure they were hired to find. However, they weren't alone, as pirates came to find the same thing. The treasure was in a booby trapped dungeon with a multitude of traps and dangerous wildlife, but the mercenaries were ready for anything, unfortunately, one of the pirates weren't. A member of the crew, a fairy, got captured in a carnivorous plant with no chance of an escape. While Michael went after the treasure, Kalvin saved the fairy. This fairy was named Sapphire, and after Kalvin saved her life, she decided to join them and became their partner in hired crime. The two journey to Tradeskeep together, and the man adjusts to his new life in a small town as a black smith and a father, and neither was as easy as he thought it'd be. Things are made easier though when Michael meets up with some old friends, and Sofia makes some new ones.
