#i keep wanting to go on a rant about how xena is the only truly satisfying show about women i've ever watched but idk how to word#it without getting hyperbolic and overly vehement#suffice to say i love how xena as a show does not give a shit about making a feminist point about women/patriarchy#it only gives a shit about showing a bunch of interesting + layered women killing people and flirting with each other#totally unfettered by society. plus cheesy 90s era styling is sexier to me than the current magazine cover look by far#marley on xena#text post#god i remember reading the pilot script for the attempted xena reboot and falling into despair because it was all about fucking#sex slavery and rape trauma. imagine not getting the appeal that fucking hard#even now i'm being hyperbolic but this subject genuinely kinda upsets me honestly. i feel so deprived lol
