#it was the contractual marketing plan

I don't like Blake Lively, never have and probably never will.
She was truly awful during the press promotion of the movie.
However I hope people remember obnoxious people can be victims or crimes too and we should not treat justice as a privilege to grant on merit.
Absolutely. The right to work in a safe environment is not just for people we like.
Also something else to consider is many of the alleged incidents happened in front of unwilling witnesses and Blake claims other women - women without the power and resources she has to pursue this - spoke to her about their poor experiences with Justin on set. This is why I worry about these public cases becoming just a popularity contest where the one who has the public on side is right no matter what. Because if sheâs right, and people allow him a pass for this because Blakeâs unlikeable, it most likely will happen again.
#ask#anon#non royal#Blake lively#also the whole light hearted floral marketing campaign was from Sony#it was the contractual marketing plan#and Justin did go along with it but then when stories started to come out he pivoted#when you think about itâs wild that any of us thought all the women in that cast didnât care about domestic violence#and only the man did

business 101
pairing: csc x f!reader | wc: 1.3k genre/au: rival ceos, fluff, humor | warnings: none | rating: pg a/n: prequel to the contractual obligations universe // based on an ask for my 101 drabble prompt game!
The lecture hall buzzed with the usual pre-class chatter. The faint hum of laptops, the rustle of notebooks, and the occasional murmur of stress about looming midterms filled the air. You sank into your chair, flipping open your laptop to the blank document titled Business 101 Project.
âGroup assignments will be randomized,â the professor announced from the podium, his voice loud enough to silence most of the murmuring. âYour task: create a comprehensive business plan for a hypothetical company. Itâs due at the end of the semester. Creativity is welcome, but analysis and execution will determine your grade. Teams will be four people each, and I expect professionalism.â
When the names appeared on the screen, your heart sank.
Group 8: Choi Seungcheol, Jeonghan Yoon, Joshua Hong, Y/N L/N
You glanced around, spotting Jeonghan waving lazily at you with an amused smirk, while Joshua offered a polite nod. Then your eyes landed on Seungcheol. His lips quirked into a lopsided grin, the kind that spoke volumesâmostly about how annoying he planned to be.
âGreat,â you muttered under your breath, earning a chuckle from Jeonghan, who had slid into the seat next to you. Jeonghan and Joshuaâreliable, at least. But Choi Seungcheol? He caught your gaze and offered a cocky smirk.
Fantastic.
By the end of the first meeting, it was clear how things were going to go.
âWe need a solid foundation,â Joshua said, tapping his pen thoughtfully against the table. âLetâs start with a service idea and build from there.â
âSomething scalable,â you agreed. âLike a subscription modelâlow entry cost, high potential for growth.â
âThatâs boring,â Seungcheol cut in, his voice casual but gratingly dismissive. âWhy not focus on a bold product launch? Something with impact.â
âImpact doesnât pay the bills,â you shot back, narrowing your eyes. âWe need a strategy thatâs actually sustainable.â
âSustainable,â he repeated, leaning back and folding his arms. âSure. Letâs just settle for mediocre so we donât have to take any risks.â
âAnd crash and burn if it flops?â you shot back, unable to hide your irritation. âThatâs reckless.â
Seungcheol leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms with a smirk. âNo risk, no reward.â
âNo risk, no grade either,â you retorted, your voice sharper than intended.
Jeonghan cleared his throat, breaking the tension. âI see this is going to be... fun.â He exchanged a glance with Joshua, who already looked like he regretted his life choices.
By the third meeting, the rivalry had reached critical mass.Â
âWho made you the CEO of this group?â Seungcheol snapped after you vetoed one of his flashier ideas.
âIâm not the CEO,â you retorted, jabbing a finger at the project outline. âIâm just the one who doesnât want us to fail.â
âFail?â he repeated with a mock laugh. âRight, because your ideas are so revolutionary. Letâs hear it for our subscription box for socks or whatever youâre pitching.â
You glared. âSocks sell.â
âNot as much as actual creativity,â he shot back.
Jeonghan sighed dramatically. âIâm this close to quitting college,â he muttered to Joshua, who nodded solemnly.
This was now less a project, and more a battlefield. You and Seungcheol clashed over every detailâbudget projections, marketing angles, even the font choices for the presentation slides. Jeonghan coined the term âWednesday Night Warâ after one particularly heated Zoom meeting, where the two of you had yelled over each other for a full ten minutes before Joshua muted you both.
Despite the argumentsâor maybe because of themâthe project came together. By some miracle, your calculated planning and Seungcheolâs riskier ideas balanced each other out. When the group received an A, Joshua and Jeonghan looked ready to celebrate.
You and Seungcheol, however, couldnât even agree on that.
âI carried this project,â he said, smirking at you as the grades were handed back.
âExcuse me?â you said, turning to him. âIf you carried it, then I was the one steering so you didnât walk us off a cliff.â
âYouâre welcome for my bold ideas,â he replied.
âAnd youâre welcome for my common sense,â you shot back, storming out of the classroom before you could strangle him.
A celebration was inevitable. After weeks of late nights and endless bickering, Jeonghan declared a house party to blow off steam. You werenât in the mood for it, but Joshuaâs pleading eyes and the promise of free drinks eventually won you over. The house was packed, the bass from the speakers thrumming through your chest. You spotted Jeonghan and Joshua near the makeshift bar, both nursing drinks and chatting with friends.Â
Jeonghan greeted you with a sly grin. âAnd here I thought you were too good for us,â he teased, handing you a drink.
âIâm here for Joshua,â you replied, taking a sip. âNot you or him.â
âYou mean Seungcheol?â Jeonghan asked innocently, his grin widening when you glared at him.
Across the room, Seungcheol leaned against the counter, laughing at something someone had said. His dark shirt clung to his shoulders in a way that annoyed youâit was unfair how effortlessly attractive he looked, especially when you could practically feel him waiting to pick another fight.
When his eyes met yours, he smirked.
You shouldâve walked away, but instead, you marched straight up to him.
âAre you stalking me now?â you asked, crossing your arms.
âStalking?â he echoed, raising an eyebrow. âYouâre in my space.â
âYour space?â you scoffed. âPretty sure this is Jeonghanâs house.â
âSemantics.â
The two of you fell into your usual rhythm of bickering, the tension between you thick enough to draw the attention of Jeonghan and Joshua.
âTheyâre at it again,â Joshua remarked, taking a sip of his drink.
Jeonghan sighed dramatically. âWhy donât they just kiss already?â
Joshua smirked, nodding toward where you and Seungcheol stood toe-to-toe. âWait for it.â
Back near the bar, the argument had reached new heights.
âYou think youâre so much better because you play it safe?â Seungcheol taunted, his voice low but heated.
âAnd you think being reckless makes you a visionary?â you fired back, stepping closer.Â
âYou wouldnât know a bold move if it slapped you in the face,â he shot back, his tone biting.
âDo you ever shut up?â you snapped, stepping closer.
âDo you?â he fired back, his smirk daring you to do something about it.
The crowd around you began to thin as people sensed the escalating tension. Seungcheolâs jaw tightened, his eyes locked on yours. For a moment, neither of you spoke, the air between you crackling.
Then he grabbed your wrist.
âWeâre settling this,â he growled, his voice quiet enough that only you could hear.
âExcuse me?â you sputtered, but he was already pulling you through the crowd, his grip firm but not rough.
From across the room, Jeonghan raised his glass to Joshua with a knowing smile. âTold you.â
âBet you a round they donât come back for hours,â Joshua added, and Jeonghan laughed, clinking his glass.
Seungcheol dragged you into an empty room, the noise of the party muffled by the closed door. He let go of your wrist, turning to face you with a look you couldnât quite decipher.
âYou canât justââ you began, but the words died in your throat as he stepped closer.
âCanât just what?â he challenged, his voice quieter now but no less intense.
Your breath hitched as the tension that had simmered for weeks finally reached its boiling point. âWhat do you want from me, Seungcheol?â
He didnât answer with words. Instead, he cupped your face in his hands and kissed you. It wasnât gentle or tentativeâit was hungry, desperate, like heâd been holding himself back for far too long.
You froze for half a second before kissing him back just as fiercely, your hands tangling in his hair as the weeks of frustration and tension melted away into something electric.
The rest of the world disappeared. All that existed was the way his hands gripped your waist, the press of his body against yours, the taste of beer on his lips.
When you finally pulled apart, both of you were breathing hard, your foreheads resting against each other.
âThis doesnât mean I like you,â you whispered, your voice shaky but defiant.
Seungcheol smirked, his thumb brushing over your cheek. âYeah? Keep telling yourself that.â

If you don't mind can I request any yandere you want and see reader in a wedding dress they thought reader was planning a marriage turn out she just like the dress
A/N: BAHAHAHAA this is so funny. Yes of course, im *assuming* you are referring to the MK guys? Just send in another request if notđđ
Characters: MK1 Johnny Cage, MK11 Kung Lao and MK11 Erron Black as a wild card lol.
Warnings: buffoonery and Johnny Carlton đ
Requests: always open 24/7
Masterlist
Johnny ca(needs to be arrested asap)ge
Oh boyâŠwhy did you have to get this man started?? I'm going to assume you just thrifted a pretty white dress, not realizing it was a wedding dress in the impulsivity of the buy.
When you got back home to try it on, it unexpectedly fit like a glove. Accentuating every nice thing about your body. The lace and embroidered rhinestones made everything just 100 times better. A gorgeous glam dress that youâre sure Johnny would love just as much as you do.
Excited, you waited by the front door for his arrival to show off your new purchase.
Immediately he froze at the doorstep, the sight of you in this little git up took him aback.
You stuck a cute pose and did a full body spin to show him every detail, egarly asking him what he thought.
âTa-Daaaaa! So, what do ya think? I picked it out at the charity shop down the street. I figured itâd be perfect for a special occasion..â
Girl you are so damn foolishđ© that man is going feral now
Johnny had been playing his obsession very cool this entire time. Only maybe slipping up once but now??
That âspecial occasionâ is obviously the day youâll become his wife. What day is more special than that?! Heâs so happy that you initiated this first. Heâs been wanting to make you his forever since heâs met you and obviously you feel the same way too.
See, youâre perfect for each other! He knew you were the one. Only a bit sad he didnât realize your feelings sooner or else he wouldâve taken you to Vegas months ago.
âWhen I gave you my credit card to get something nice I didnât expect for you to buy a wedding dress. Iâm not complaining tho~ it was only a matter of time until it happened.â
âŠ.what?
You had looked back down at your dress and realized that it did look oddly similar to oneâŠbut that was just a coincidence.
You explained to him that no, it wasnât supposed to be a wedding dress. You had picked it up because of the detailing, you figured itâd be perfect for the next red carpet.
Ohhhhh he sees what youâre doing here. Youâre playing dumb, this was only a hint that you wanted him to claim you. Heâll promptly propose. Itâs the traditional way of doing things. ;)
You reiterated again, more seriously this time that this was only a dress for his red carpet. Honestly more of an impulse buy if anything. You hadnât realized what the dress actually was. It was far too soon to get married and you wasnât even certain if Johnny was who you wanted to be with in the long run.
His vision of you walking down the isle in that snatched, sexy little dress was shattered⊠for a mere moment he became overwhelmed with sadness. Whaâ what do you mean that youâre not sure you want to marry him? Who else would you marry in place of him? Youâve been planning to leave him, havenât you?..
Quickly that sorrow turned to anger and a side of Johnny youâve never seen came out to bite.
His eyes were narrow and sinister as he peered down at you, over his expensive sunglasses. His voice was low yet venomously brash.
âSweetheartââ
âYou donât get to play silly little games like this and get my hopes up for nothing. Weâre getting married, thereâs no other option better than me. And if you think for a second that youâre going to leave meâhehâ-Iâll make your life agonizing.â
Oh..
It wasnât long after, that he held you down and shoved a ring on your fingerâŠahem romantically proposed and you were eloped with an insane contractual agreement.
Poor thingâŠuse critical judgment next time youâre out shopping.
Kung lao
You were out at the markets getting some groceries and household items. Normally Kung Lao would accompany you, but after much negotiation, he decided to let you go out alone. He was well familiar with the shopkeepers and locals so there wasnât much to worry about. And he didnât fear you being hit on there as everyone in the town knew who you belonged to. Any man who was stupid enough to talk to you was a man who was certainly going to die.
Of course like any woman, after your necessities were brought, you decided to do a bit of window shopping of vendors that were in the area.
Nothing new or interesting caught your attention until an older woman pulled you into her store to show you her selection of dresses. They were all so gorgeously designed and hand crafted, they mustâve taken ages to make.
âI have something very special for you. I think this will make that man of yours very pleased.â
After searching through a few boxes, she found the one she was looking for and displayed it for you. The dress was a striking red with gold embellishments and pleats that were colorfully embroidered.
It was so well done that it almost appeared painted on. Itâd kill you to have that dress, even trying it on would be a dream in itself. But sadly, you knew that anything at this level had to be exorbitant in price. Thereâs no way that you could afford, let alone justify paying for it.
Thanking the shop keeper and complimenting the dress, you shook your head and declined. Explaining to her that this purchase would make you struggle for a couple of months.
The old lady wouldnât take no for an answer and pushed the box towards you.
âMy dear, this one was made for you. I must let you have it, donât worry about payment. Just make sure I get to see you in it.â
Shocked, you asked a couple of times if she was serious and she was very adamant about you taking it home with you. She winked at you and sent you on your way.
Excited, you rushed home and into your room. Entirely running past your boyfriend in the process to hurried try the dress on.
It was exactly your size. It was almost as if if was made exactly to your measurements. You spun around in the mirror a million times so happy to be able to own something so luxurious.
âY/N? Whatâs going on in there?? Are you okay? You didnât even greet me when you came in.â
Opening the bedroom door you surprised him with the dress.
âCan you believe it, Kung Lao? Some lady at the market gifted this to me. She said it was made for me and insisted that I take it home.â
YeahâŠummm
That ârandomâ lady wasnât so random. Heâd been planning this moment for over a year. He took out half of his savings to purchase it and have it custom built for you. All of your favorite colors and style preferences were put into this. He told the lady that whenever she was finished with it, to give it to you the next time that she sees you.
It was a surprise seeing you in the dress though. He knew youâd look beautiful but not this damn good. All of the details brought out the best in yourself. It wasnât form fitting as it was a traditional xiuhuefu but it still such a perfect fit on you. He was proud that did exceptionally well in designing this for you.
Acting dumb, he asked many questions like who the lady was and was you sure it was truly for free. So manipulativeâŠ
âI guess this is a sign of fateâŠthat we are destined to be married soon.â
UmmmmâŠ.what?
You laughed and explained how it was just a traditional dress that you plan to wear at a festival or something. What was he talking about marriage? Itâs just a pretty dress right??âŠ.right?
Girlâ-
He explained that no, it was actually a traditional dress only worn by brides. âAnd that since you was not only âgiftedâ it, but that it fit you well must mean that youâre ready to be his bride.
âOhâŠnoâŠI had no idea, Lao. I just like the dress, I donât wanna be married to you.â
Let me take a sip of my drinkđȘ
Immediately his face scrunched up in anger and he backed you into the wall.
âYou donât wanna be married to me?! Donât you know how much money I spent on this dress? Do you know how many hours that poor old lady spent on this, customizing everything for you? I even tried to make the experience receiving the dress special. And you donât want to marry me?â
He harshly grabbed your chin and pulled your face closer to his
âYou donât get a choice in this, my precious flower. Any other girl would kill to even be noticed by the great Kung Lao..donât be such a fool and make this difficult.â
Yeah..weâll at least your wedding was absolutely massive and filled with tons of yummy foods.
Erron Black
(Yes I know Erronâs mom was crappy but for plot purposes please letâs pretend he lovvveeeed her okay.)
Erron had left you back at home while he took care of some business and agreed to let you go through the attic. It was very very old and cluttered and he couldnât care less about what you did with most of the stuff. He hasnât seen most of it since he was a much younger fella anyways.
He told you there might be a few old clothes that were his mothers and sisters and you were free to take anything youâd like. You're about their size anyhow and heâd rather them on you than to be rotting in a box any longer.
You made your way through tons of old nicnacks and relics, it took a few hours of searching to find any of his old childhood things since they were in the faaaar back.
Eventually you found a hefty box that read womenâs name on it and brought it back downstairs.
Hats, blouses, skirts and accessories were all in there. Not much that youâd wear since they were all a little dated and too mature for youâbut there was one thing that caught your eyes. Something wrapped in dainty floral wrapping paper and tied with a pretty bow.
âŠâŠErron did give you permission to open whatever youâd like so Iâm sure this wouldnât hurt him.
Upon carefully unwrapping the delicately wrapped piece, the most gorgeous vintage wedding dress was revealed. Yes it was rather dated like most of the clothes with big puffy sleeves and a high neckline for modesty. Kind of gaudy as well but still an eye catching design nonetheless.
You held it up to your body and it looked like it'd be a perfect fit. This isnât too surprising, but it fit you rather well. You looked straight out of the 19th century but it was cute, you put your hair up really nice and added some of the accessories from the box to complete the look.
You strutted around the house and pretended to be some snobby rich woman on her wedding day.
âWhy yes. The orderves were made by Frederic, the renowned chef and the silk table cloths were imported from across the seasâŠ.hohoho.â
In the middle of your play time, Erron walked in and saw you in the dress. He paused and observed you up and down. It seemed as though he was a bit upset by the sight of you.
Maybe it was the wrong choice to put on this dress of all things. This was probably the one thing that was unspokenly off limits.
You quickly try to deescalate the situation and explain yourself. That you just thought the dress was pretty and you wanted to fool around in it. That you didnât think much of it or that heâd be home so soon.
âIâm not mad, y/n. For a second I got a glimpse of my ma again. This dress is perfect on you.â
You twirled around in place and asked him if he truly thought so.
âIâm as honest as Iâd ever be right now. What do you say we go down to the chapel right now?â
Thinking he wasnât being serious, you laughed and began to take the dress off
âYouâre not the marrying type, Erron.â
His demeanor turned from a sentimental bliss to a pissed off cowboy in seconds.
What did you mean heâs not the marrying type? He ainât no saint but heâs been good to you and planned on being so for a long while.
âWhat did you mean by that, darlin?â
He stared straight and menacingly at you with his drawing hand on his holster. Your next words better be catious.
âN-nothing. Just figured you werenât into the marriage thing because neither am I. Thatâs all.â
Thatâs all? You think you can just wear his deceased mothers wedding gown without any plans of commitment.
He suddenly pulled out his pistol out of his holster causing you to flinch. He didnât point it at you but he inspected it before putting in a cartridge that was stored on his other hip.
âDear, I know I ainât no romantic but if you think for a second Iâd let you walk out of this relationship aliveâŠyou must be one dumb broad.â
A chilling smile plastered his face as he pointed it towards you
âSo what do ya say? You going to come down to the chapel with me or go have tea with the queen in purgatory? âŠyour choice.â
Of course you had to say yes. That proposal was soâŠromantic? Hey, at least the priest down at the old chapel prayed over your soul and gave you a cross if you so ever shall need it dealing with a devil like him.

Hello RTA! I subscribe to a bunch of email newsletters for work and this was in todayâs edition of the âMorning Brewâ (talks about current events / trends / marketing). Hereâs what is said about ARO: âROYAL JAM: American Riviera Orchard has its first product: fancy, small-batch jam. Meghan Markle is planning to officially launch the brand later this spring, and everyone is too afraid to make fun of it after what happened last time.â Two things struck me 1) industry thinks her launch is a joke 2) theyâre afraid of Princess Catherine type reveal so theyâre holding back. What do you think? Does most of the industry think her brand is a joke?
1) industry thinks knows her launch is a joke
Everything Meghan has done to launch ARO/Roop is exactly the opposite of what the experts say to do. She launched without a product. She launched product without an inventory. Her marketing depends on contractual favors from "friends" using Instagram stories to skirt sponcon/product placement rules.
Of course they're laughing at her.

I finally played through The Turnabout Serenade and yes, I can totally get why it is considered one of the worst cases in the franchise (Turnabout Big Top is still rank 1 for me, simply because it makes no sense AND I hated everybody). There are good things in that case : I liked the mixing board parts, even if the performance/music was a little too long, some twists were genuinely good and I liked getting a better look at Klavier's life. With that being said :
Machi being the defendant makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Yes, he wasn't blind and could speak English, but they didn't know that when they arrested him. The premise for at least the first half of the case was that the prosecution honestly believed that a fifteen-year-old BLIND teenager somehow managed to shoot a far bigger man with a gun with a high caliber, and somehow, despite two people arriving on the scene seconds after the shooting, managed to get out of sight, climb a ladder, get in an air vent, and crawl to another place, and some time later managed to drag a body on stage, and then passed out on the platform for no apparent reasons, all of that without anyone seeing or hearing him. I know that we've had twisted plans from culprits before in the Ace Attorney franchise, but this one makes absolutely no sense!
The twist that the shooting took place in the second act and not the third one is clever at first glance, until you realize that Lamiroir was apparently so stupid that she didn't realize that the shooting taking place when Machi WAS ON STAGE was fucking relevant! And when she said "no one asked me... and I didn't understand why I wouldn't be able to hear anything if the window was closed...", what she couldn't volunteer the information?? Fot the boy she claims to consider her son?
Lamiroir being blind and not Machi was just stupid! There was simply no good reason for it. They try to justify it with some marketing "Lamiroir-is-the-painter-of-landscapes" nonsense but I don't buy it.
The case draaaaaaags so much! The greater part of the first part of the second-day-trial is to figure out the "magic trick" behind the disappearing act, a trick that the witness, the prosecution and the assistant know! And somehow protecting a magician's secret (not contractually I might add, it was just an oath) was more important than saving a teenager's life.
I don't buy the resolution/moral of the case. Apparently, this case was meant to prove that the justice system was flawed because it relied too much on evidence and thus protected the culprits. But first, this is the first case where this is a problem, and second, I get that evidence can be twisted to write the story you want, but I don't see an alternative that wouldn't have serious drawbacks. I get that it's meant to be an introduction to the jury system that Phoenix will implement in the next case, but still, it doesn't sound right to me. Third, correct me if I'm wrong but they would have had actual evidence if the police/prosecution did their job properly, like not piling up on the fifteen-year-old teenager, for example. If anything, this case shows that cases go to trial far too quickly and don't give enough time for the police and the prosecution to investigate properly and explore different alternatives, which is a far bigger problem to me.
The more I write, the more Lamiroir pisses me off, which I'm actually sad about because I feel like I was meant to like her. At the end, when she says that some darkness seems to have taken hold of Machi, bitch please, you don't know why he needed the money, and excuse him for trying to save a life, even if it went against the laws.
So far, I don't hate Apollo Justice (the game, not the character. I like the character) but I am starting to agree that the execution isn't great. I like many of the new ideas and the new characters, but the execution is... flawed. At this point, I am mostly going through the motions until I get to the next game and hopefully have a better time (I can't wait to meet Athena).

Right-to-buy council houses without specifically only releasing housing that already had a replacement built was of the most notable ways of the *many* that Thatcher et al screwed the UK.
Iâd love to have a law put in place that landlords either have to sign contracts to provide housing under council house-type contracts with rent controls to people on housing benefit etc, or sell to the local council at compulsory purchase prices.
Same for all the houses not being lived in - use to house people under contractual controls, or have to sell to the council housing central fund.
Personally Iâd start converting all the office units that are no longer needed because so many people are working remotely now into housing too.
Same for the huge city centre shops - Iâm not sure if the pattern repeats elsewhere, but I live near Glasgow and the city centre has basically died since Covid. No one is renting the huge retail stores and the place is full of unhoused folk, which is a fucking scandal. So convert them into housing; let the buildings see use, and let those folks get off the streets. Pets and kids specifically allowed too - get families out of one-room shelters and into proper homes of their own.
Iâve heard that there would be issues putting in water infrastructure, but given the place is literally crumbling already and usage in so many areas is so low that having workers digging up the streets to install water lines wouldnât cause enormous disruption, the time to do this is *now*. Build rainwater catchment and purification systems on roofs too - we get so much rain in the UK itâs kind of ridiculous not to use it! Some of that could go directly to drip irrigation in gardens, but plenty could go right into the houses/flats too. And of course this would provide tons of jobs in construction, architecture, planning etc etc.
Install gardens and green spaces around the place while you are doing this - offer some at low rent, or to buy cheaply, to market gardeners, but specifically put spaces in for communal gardens with the idea of offering allotments and encouraging people to grow their own food.
Put solar panels on every roof and integrate spaces for smaller wind turbines amongst the houses too. Huge storage batteries in basements to make the new blocks as low-footprint and self-sufficient as possible power-wise.
It would be a *fantastic* opportunity to create genuinely accessible housing - office buildings and shops already have lifts and wide corridors ideal for wheelchairs and other mobility devices, so keep that in the design when creating housing. There is a hidden epidemic of houselessness amongst disabled people and older folk with mobility needs, so create low-rent council housing that specifically fits those needs there.
It would regenerate the areas - all the smaller shopfronts not suitable for housing conversion would fill up with people offering the things people in residential neighbourhoods need, with a guaranteed payer base. People on low incomes *use* all of their incomes on necessities, so small businesses selling those necessities will do well. Offer small businesses low rents to provide those necessities. Any that donât fill up, offer to charities and use for council staff offering the aid and advice people transitioning into housing actually *need*.
Carers are generally low-paid - so this would be an opportunity to offer them cheap housing close to a huge client base in the new accessible housing. No need for low-paid, mostly-female workers to dash constantly between clients in cars. They could walk to work and walk in between clients, who would also no longer be trapped in inaccessible homes, so people who are not actually bedbound would hopefully be less housebound.
Put rooms in the blocks for communal and co-op activities to reduce isolation - with the lifts and wide corridors, even people who are functionally housebound are likely to be able to make it to a room in their own building, and even quite young children could get to those places safely on their own if their parents are working. Wraparound childcare, paid and informal, near where folks actually live.
City centre areas that are now largely dead other than unhoused people, with limited and decreasing zero economic activity taking place and a decreasing incentive for businesses to set up there rather than in out-of-town retail parks people need to drive to, would become vibrant communities with every incentive for businesses to set up there, particularly for the small businesses that still employ the majority of people.
It wouldnât take a lot to extend this model to transform those out-of-town business parks that are currently largely empty either; nothing says the businesses that are still there would need to move, and they would have a huge new pool of potential employees living within easily walkable distance, though there would need to be oversight to make sure places like Amazon didnât attempt to buy them up and turn them into company housing. There would need to be a little more investment to provide green transport links like electric buses and trains so that it would be easier for small businesses to move in to provide services, but given the tax income that would result and the reduction in pollution the investment would probably pay itself back within a decade or so.

do u have any wenclair fic recommendations?
it's times like this when I wish I was more organised with note keeping or have the memory of something better than a hamster
I haven't been reading (for them and just generally) nearly as much as before I started writing for them. Not bcos I think it disrupts any writing process (can't disrupt no process đ) but just bcos I don't seem to have as much time
But here's my attempt at a varied-ish list in no particular order:
[M] The Sisyphean Nightmare (16ch) by HonestToBlogJuno Adult Wednesday is contractually obligated to participate in the marketing of her book, to her dismay. Luckily she is married to a werewolf with a communications degree and side-hustle in social media.
[Unrated] you could be the one that i keep (1ch) by overnights - Genie AU And Enid, whoâs wished on every star and comet and birthday candle sheâs ever seen, looks at Wednesday now and comes up impossibly short of an answer. One wish left, anything in the world at her fingertips, and all she really wants is more time to spend with this enchanted, enchanting mystery of a girl.
[Unrated] backseat (3ch) by reputationstation - Celeb AU Wednesday Addams is a failed fencing prodigy with a once promising career and a troubled past (and if everything goes according to plan, a troubled future as well) who has no intentions of becoming friends with the overly excitable, bubbly girl who calls herself a 'social media influencer', whatever that means. However, like most things in her life, her plans are inevitably thrown off the course.
[Unrated] gifts from a cat (1ch) by Rennajade the one where wednesday is basically just a cat in human form
[T] Dia de los Muertos [now with chapter breaks] (11ch) by WishaDream Wednesday invites Enid over to her house for Dia de los Muertos. It promises to be a horribly fantastic day.
[T] Shot Glasses, Tacky Jewelry (i know you mean more to me than that) (8ch) by RainbowJeff - Holiday/Mall AU Wednesday has somehow been dragged into the mall employees' yearly Secret Santa. What's worse, she's pulled Enid Sinclair as her giftee.
[G] a day like a day in summer (4ch) by poetroe Wednesday has strange ways of showing affection; Enid becomes intimately familiar with them.
[G] yours, eurydice (14ch) by hanjisgirlfriend - Celeb AU Best-selling horror author Wednesday Addams hasn't written in years. Everything changes when Enid Sinclair moves in across the hall.
[M] once bitten (try again?) (1ch) by nd_mindoir Enid learns how to touch Wednesday and why Wednesday is so much softer with her in return
There's also Our Lady of Wild Beasts by Pelgraine which is no longer on AO3 because she's publishing it into an original fiction novel. Sad for us, but extremely good for her. Huge congrats!!
Explicit recs
(I guess it warrants its own section? đ)
[E] Hysteria (1ch) by IndieBones918 Wednesday emotionally dumps on her girlfriend's best friend after her and Enid's first time and Yoko's having the absolute time of her life.
[E] Gift (1ch) by Mikkie_Mouse (Mikbates) - ABO/Omegaverse AU Wednesday's inability to understand the commitments of a relationship leaves Enid frustrated... and taking matters into her own hands.
[E] A raven's dream of wolf (2ch) by tokyocorgi - ABO/Omegaverse AU the one where Wednesday literally had a hot and steamy sex dream with a lot of feelings.
[E] I'm Just Here To Love You (2ch) by SaturnHaze Wednesday never moans during sex so Enid comes up with a plan to finally draw them out of her. Well, she and Yoko.
[E] First Time For Everything (1ch) by geekomancer, Onhirel Wednesday and Enid having been dating for what feels like ages now, but their relationship hasn't taken that final step... until now. A make out session simply doesn't stop, confronting Wednesday of the simple fact that she doesn't actually know what to do. Thankfully, Enid is there to help her figure it all out.
There you go, happy reading (or not, whatever, you do what you want) with whatever floats your boat đ„ïž

Changing the Status Quo of ToT
[WC: 2.1K]
I've been thinking about where Tears of Themis has been heading lately.
ToT is a surprising blend of otome and detective/mystery game, and because of this, it can be difficult to create a balance that satisfies both halves. By focusing too much on the main story, the game risks losing out on sweet moments MC has with the love interests. But on the other side of the coin, by leaning too much into otome, the main story risks being buried or being dragged out longer than necessary.
Am I saying that ToT is failing to hit this balance? Not objectively, because my personal nitpicks with the game could be reasons why someone else might enjoy it.
But I am saying that with the way ToT is created, I cannot help but feel they are building up for something drastic to happen. Something that shifts the way we see the story forever, something so that the characters are never the same again.
Something that changes the status quo permanently.
To be fair, if the developers have planned for this, it's a good strategy. Something absolutely bonkers happening in the main story that upends almost everything would get people talking -- and word of mouth means more people playing the game. Certain examples of massive events like these off the top of my head are Amphibia's season 2 finale and the Hatoful Boyfriend secret route.
There is a certain thing that cannot happen in ToT, of course, and that is killing off one of the four love interests: Luke, Artem, Vyn, or Marius. Although it's not impossible (and would certainly be gutsy), I'd argue that the decision would be too risky.
We all know Luke has massive death flags, but given the nature of an otome game, permanently killing any one of them would risk backlash -- especially from the players who are attached to the now-dead character.
While this decision might work out for the detective/mystery genre, it clashes with the otome aspect. Unless it's a deliberately tragic game or is used in exploration of a greater theme (see: Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly), love interests are basically contractually obligated to not die unless it's a bad ending. And ToT doesn't do bad endings, because that's what the AU cards are for.
Ultimately, Tears of Themis is an otome with detective/mystery elements. This is how I see it, and I'm pretty sure this is also how the game is primarily marketed. So instead of something like Danganronpa which is basically mystery solving with a side of dating sim elements, ToT is otome first, mystery second.
Arguably, there have been some turning points that have indeed changed the status quo we saw in Main Story Episode 1!
MC joins the NXX (Main Story 5)
The lack of a final court case in Main Story 6, and the ensuing hollow victories in Main Stories 7 & 8
But these events feel like they're building up to something. At this point, I don't think we're heading for an ending that waves a hand and tells us everyone lived happily ever after, because that would feel cheap. We can have a happy ending, of course, but it has to feel earned. And in order for a happy ending to be satisfying, the characters have to fight for it, not have it handed to them on a plate.
So that got me thinking. What are examples of events that could cause a drastic shift in the game?
1) One of the main five is a traitor
A lot of the time, revealing a mole/double agent (reluctant conspirator or not) is interesting because it forces us to change our perception of a character. A side character who turns out to be a traitor is fine because we don't care about them. But for someone who is currently part of the NXX -- including MC -- to turn against the group? That's interesting. That's something that will change the group dynamic for a long time. (Exceptions for Neil and Giann because they're a) already suspect and b) it's likely the player doesn't care for them as much as the main cast, because their primary value lies in their connection to the main characters).
Of course, care would have to be taken here if the traitor isn't MC, because you don't want to risk alienating fans of a specific love interest. In this case, the traitor would most likely be redeemed by MC or have second doubts about his choice to betray the NXX. This means all roads lead to redemption, because it probably wouldn't be a good idea to end a well-liked love interest's arc negatively.
In the same way, an important side character turning traitor would be interesting, but not as impactful as the main five. It would be a massive plot twist, of course, but on the whole, it doesn't affect the status quo as much. Unless, of course...
2) One of the important side characters (i.e. someone with a face and is positively linked to one of the main five) turns out to be the big bad
For example: Kiki Bennet is actually behind the whole conspiracy, but hides behind the guise of a cute, internet-savvy attorney-in-training.
If the developers were to go this route, it would have to be done carefully, with some foreshadowing so that the twist doesn't appear out of nowhere. It wouldn't feel earned if details about a side character were simply retconned and tossed aside. Similarly to the first point, this would recontextualize a character, but in a massive enough way that would impact the entire NXX group. Here, I used Kiki as an example because it would be fairly easy to twist her into someone who is at the law firm to keep tabs on MC, and her internet connections could be used as a cover for a hub of secrets and information.
3) The introduction of a fifth, secret love interest
We've talked a little about this in the ToT discord server I'm in (shoutout to @lukepearcing and @roshie-writes here). And yes, the character we've decided is most likely to be the additional love interest is Jerome.
This would, essentially, create a sort of villain route for MC, where she gets her true enemies-to-lovers plotline. While this may not necessarily impact the main story greatly, it would drastically change the otome part of the game -- especially if it comes with UI changes to suit the addition of a new main character.
4) The world of Stellis is not as we know it
The inclusion of Zangr is arguably enough to build on this idea. Of course, Zangr could just be comic relief, or the standard fourth-wall-breaking character. But if Zangr was right all along, and that there is a (fictional) world outside of Stellis, or that there's some kind of multiverse out there, that would change things no matter whether we liked it or not.
(I sort of talk about this idea in referencing the 2022 ToT April Fools' poster.)
Is this a good twist? Honestly, it would be very difficult to pull off. Tropes like "it was all a dream" or "all of it was fake" are extremely hard to execute well. With the main conflict currently linked to the NXX drug, though, I don't see this as something that is likely to happen. I won't rule it out of the picture, but as of now, it's thematically pretty unlikely.
5) Time travel / MC is looping and she doesn't know it
Is this a trope that has been done heaps of times? Yeah.
But it would change the story -- and would allow for love interests to actually die (e.g. if someone uncovers the NXX and assassinates each one of them, resulting in MC looping back to a certain point in time). I don't really have much evidence to support this apart from the prologue, which implies MC has been through some horrible things, and the continual exploration of memory as a theme. (I elaborate a little on the memory theme in my Giann sprite theory.)
For some reason, I always find myself returning to that prologue. Maybe it's metaphorical and has been all along. But I cannot help but feel that in some way, it was meant to foreshadow something that still looms over our main cast.
6) The group dynamic changes in some way
This is perhaps not as impactful as some of the points above, but would still significantly shift things. I've spoken about the potential for an NXX schism in my post about Vyn, responsibility, and trust. The NXX breaking apart, either as individuals or into groups would definitely make for a change in the main story (and would probably not affect the otome aspect as the game will probably let MC be an intermediary and not pick a side).
Alternatively, adding people to the group would also dramatically change things. Some examples of new people could be Darius or Vincent, but the additions also be old members like Neil and (just maybe!) Giann.
The current NXX has been slowly growing together over the last couple of team events. Perhaps something could happen to slow this growth, or something could happen to accelerate it.
7) MC isn't who we think she is
This is very similar to the MC is a traitor point above, but in this particular idea, she doesn't have to be a traitor. This time I'm thinking of something more akin to the twist in Bee & Puppycat season 1, or something connected to her identity or parents. Maybe she isn't just an up-and-coming attorney who believes in hope and justice. Maybe there's something in her memories that she's blocked out and can't remember, or something that she's deliberately hiding from everyone else. If something like this is done, it would completely recontextualize MC, and it would be significant because she's the protagonist. If there's anyone we think we know, it's her.
8) Protagonist switch
That said, is MC/Rosa truly the main character? I mean, she kinda has to be -- she's the girl the main four guys are in love with.
But imagine, even if for a single episode, we play as Ingrid Rosworth, or any other character that isn't part of the main five. If the NXX conspiracy is bigger than we think it is, it could be interesting to step aside for a minute and peek into someone else's perspective. Baldr is kind of a joke at this point, but what if they weren't? This is somewhat connected to the idea of side characters becoming more important, and seeing them influence the plot could impact the direction that the NXX takes. Is this something that will dramatically impact the status quo? Probably not. Is it still an interesting idea? I like to think so :D
-
When trying to break down ToT, I think it's almost inevitable to separate the slice-of-life romance from the main mystery at hand. It's pretty much a given that most of the card stories and solo/couple events branch off after the first anniversary, and maybe even before that.
What this means is that the romance cards/events cannot actively impact the main story, and the main story cannot select a 'canon' love interest for MC or do something that will impact the romance timeline(s) too heavily. And hence, if we were to encounter a significant twist in the main plot, the romance aspect is unlikely to be affected too much. This is probably why a lot of dramatic events happen in the AU cards, because they sort of test the waters -- and allow the developers to see which ones the audience enjoys and which they don't, because the AUs do not directly influence the story.
Overall, that means that the type of plot twists that are likely to happen are limited. This does not, however, mean that the potential to be interesting is lessened, because there are still a number of ways the main story could go down. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I hope the writers have a good ending in mind. Because there is a lot of potential in the threads that they have given us, and rather than continuing on for years with the general pattern of "culprit of the episode", I want to believe that the main, overarching plot they are promising is going to be satisfying, or at least carefully thought out.
There is so much potential here, and I wouldn't be rambling on this much otherwise. Even if the status quo never shifts drastically, I'd be happy with a good story. Maybe that's all I want from the main plot.
#tears of themis#I hope this lengthy post was entertaining to you! Thanks for reading all of this if you did :D#ToT genuinely has the potential for really good lore -- I mean that's why Sam and Romo have a theory post in the first place#but even if the story doesn't live up to our expectations I suppose there is always canon divergence :)

Reminder: The company is NOT your friend. You are just a customer.
Iâve never seen anyone ride for a company like I see with this fandom. Bighit/Hybe is not their family. Itâs the company they are signed to. The company where they have contractual obligations.
A company that sole purpose is to make money. Do companies always do the right thing, NO. If so, I would still have a BlackBerry.
Not sure if anyone is actually listening or reading Bangâs interviews. Heâs telling you exactly where his company is heading. His goal is to bring Koreans to major pop markets and not Kpop specifically to those markets. To show the market that Hybe and Hybe America are working cohesively.
Bang PD âK-pop's business growth has slowed or even turned negative in some markets.â
Artists that donât want to go the POP road will not align with his plan.
So what happens when you have an artist that doesnât align with your new business model? Popularity has nothing to do with it.
Michael Jackson called out Sony for not promoting his album enough. Michael said "The recording companies really, really do conspire against the artistsâ
[Additional Note: Jackson accused Sony Music chairman Tommy Mottola of being racist and exploiting black artists for his own gain. Responding to those attacks, Sony issued a statement calling them "ludicrous, spiteful, and hurtful" and defended Mottola as someone who had championed Jackson's career for many years. Sony ultimately refused to renew Jackson's contract and claimed that a $25 million promotional campaign had failed because Jackson refused to tour in the US for Invincible. ]
Prince changed his name to a symbol and wrote slave on his face because Warner Bros. was not giving him creative freedom.
Backstreet Boys sued Jive for focusing on one member too much.
Never put a company over an artist. Contracts are always going to protect the company. Artists make sure you read yours before signing.

This is not my usual tumblr nonsense, but I was talking to someone on the ferry back to Aomori about places in Japan that I particularly love. So in case any of you are planning a trip, in no particular order, these are my current top 5 places in Japan.
Ise, Mie Prefecture (location of the Ise Grand Shrine, the most sacred Shinto site. Visit the outer and inner shrines, check out the Meoto Iwa/married rocks, eat udon and mochi, and buy some pearls.)
Iya Valley, Tokushima Prefecture (one of the most remote places in Japan. Take a river cruise through the Oboke Gorge, visit a historic village, walk across one of the vine bridges, and eat soba. Caveat: best experienced with a car.)
Yamagata, Yamagata Prefecture (walk up the 1,000 steps to Yama-Dera, relax at Ginzan Onsen or Zao Onsen, go to the Three Mountains of Dewa, eat beef and cherries, if they're in season. If it's winter and this is your thing: ski.)
Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture (visit Matsumoto Castle, which is original not a reconstruction, go to the art museum and the ukiyo-e museum, check out the historic shopping streets, cafe hop, eat oyaki and soba.)
Hakodate, Hokkaido Prefecture (see the view from Mt. Hakodate, check out Motomachi, the old European quarter, walk around Goryokaku Park, eat seafood at the morning market, and don't skip the milk flavor ice cream. Hokkaido is famous for dairy.)
You may have noticed that there are food recommendations attached to all of them. Everywhere in Japan has at least one local speciality that you are contractually obligated to eat. I don't make the rules.

You should add to your Blake Lively post a comment to direct attention to Exhibit C in the lawsuit. It explains the Marketing Plan for the film Blake was contractually obligated by Sony to follow. The marketing plan she was forced to follow is still causing people to "side-eye" her and continue to spread part of what the smear campaign wants to spread, that she is "tone-deaf" and doesn't care about real domestic abuse survivors.
thanks, I'll check it out later.

Just to weigh in on the Jam/Jassad promo issue...I don't work in the industry but I know some who do. And apparently these decisions (as to which cast members do promo together) are often dictated by an actor's billing on the show, their agent, contractual factors and such. Also logistical factors like the actor's availability. I'm not saying the story and 'ships' are irrelevant, they're things the marketing team are no doubt aware of, but they aren't the only consideration. But as Loustat are the main couple narratively, and Jam are also the two top-billed actors on the show, it kind of makes sense on every level to put them together!
Also, this part is just my speculation and I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but if the s2 promo is anything to go by, I wouldn't expect Joseph to feature as heavily as the more established cast members in the run-up to s3. Marketing campaigns strongly favor performers the wider audience recognizes and is already invested in. I imagine he'll get more interviews as s3 starts airing (as Roxanne did during s2) but Nicki isn't currently much of an audience draw except for book fans, and AMC's spoiler policies might make it hard for Joseph to speak too in-depth about his role ahead of time. Nicki's death is already known to the audience of course, but the events surrounding it have been left vague on purpose, and that could be tricky for him to navigate in interviews, depending on how much the writers plan to play up the 'mystery' angle there. I hope I don't come off as mean or overly pessimistic there. I'd be happy if they proved me wrong, or just greatly increased their promo budget so that everyone featured more heavily. I'm not saying he'll be totally absent from the promo btw, I just don't want fans to have super high expectations about his prominence and end up disappointed!
Yeah, that is more or less what I think will happen, too. It will be interesting to see who will be at SDCC :))

Cancel Timeshare Legally
How to Cancel Your Timeshare and Get Out of Timeshare Hassle-Free
Owning a timeshare can initially seem like a dream come true, offering you the opportunity to vacation in luxury destinations year after year. However, many timeshare owners eventually find themselves wanting to cancel their timeshare and get out of the timeshare obligations due to rising maintenance fees, limited availability, or lifestyle changes. If you're one of those people looking to cancel your timeshare and get out of timeshare commitments, this guide will walk you through the process.
Understanding Timeshare Cancellation
Canceling your timeshare can be a complex and daunting task, especially if you're unfamiliar with the legal and contractual aspects involved. It is crucial to understand your timeshare agreement and your rights as an owner before proceeding. Many timeshare contracts have a rescission period, usually within a few days to a few weeks after purchase, where you can cancel your timeshare without penalty.
Explore Your Options to Get Out of Timeshare
There are several ways to cancel your timeshare and get out of the timeshare contract. The most common methods include:
Rescission Period: If you are still within the rescission period, you can cancel your timeshare contract without any financial penalties. Make sure to act quickly and follow the cancellation procedure outlined in your contract.
Timeshare Exit Companies: These companies specialize in helping owners cancel their timeshare contracts. They typically charge a fee for their services but can handle the legal complexities on your behalf.
Sell or Transfer Your Timeshare: You can sell your timeshare on the secondary market or transfer ownership to someone else. This option can be time-consuming and may not always be successful, especially if there is an oversupply of timeshares in the market.
Donate Your Timeshare: Some organizations accept timeshare donations, which can be a viable option if you are unable to sell or transfer your timeshare.
Legal Aspects of Cancelling Your Timeshare
Before you cancel your timeshare and get out of timeshare commitments, it is essential to understand the legal implications. Reviewing your contract thoroughly is the first step. Seek professional legal advice to understand the terms and conditions and to explore the best legal options available. A lawyer with experience in timeshare law can guide you through the process and help you avoid potential pitfalls.
Avoiding Timeshare Exit Scams
Unfortunately, the timeshare exit industry is rife with scams. Be wary of companies that promise guaranteed results or demand upfront fees. Always research the reputation of any company you consider hiring and look for reviews from other timeshare owners. A legitimate company will have a track record of successfully helping clients cancel their timeshares.
The Emotional Impact of Timeshare Cancellation
Canceling your timeshare and getting out of timeshare obligations can be an emotional process. Many owners feel a sense of relief and freedom once the burden of their timeshare is lifted. However, it can also be stressful and frustrating, particularly if the process is prolonged or complicated. Having a clear plan and seeking professional help can alleviate some of the stress.
Conclusion
If you find yourself needing to cancel your timeshare and get out of timeshare commitments, know that you have options. Whether it's utilizing the rescission period, seeking help from timeshare exit companies, selling or transferring your timeshare, or seeking legal assistance, it's possible to free yourself from the burden. Remember to research thoroughly, understand your rights, and seek professional advice to ensure a smooth and successful timeshare cancellation process.
