Dragon Hunters: GLACIER OF MADNESS
(PART 1)
Main characters & setting by: © Arthur Qwak, Valérie Hadida, Guillaume Ivernel © Futurikon Screenplay and artwork: Fideliada
Part1--Part2--Part3--Part4--Part5--Part6--Part7--Part8--Part9(end)
(The sound of a raging night rainstorm)
(The creak of an art brush, barely audible over the rustle of water in the leaves.)
(Gwizdo) I've got the whole house on fireâŠÂ Does anyone care about my immunity here?! By the way, no one has yet concocted a cold vaccine!
(Gwizdo)Â I wish my book lessons would be useful to her: for sure, she should read it from the bridge!
(Pitiful creaking of the front door, which has somehow obeyed)
(Lian-Chu) Zoria was in such a hurry that she didn't even take her favorite scarf⊠(Gwizdo's voice from the doorway) That's it, I've finished the sign that says "Young and beautiful unmarried dragon hunters are strictly required to enter"... the paint is moisture-resistant! I hope you'll let me sleep now?!
(Gwizdo's soft footsteps go up the stairs, barefooted.)
(Jeanneline) This is terrible! What kept her from sitting with us a little longer? (Gwizdo's voice from the second floor) Your fantasies about your step-grandkids: you know, a dragon-slaying young lady who isn't vaccinated against cholera can easily go crazy, even in a loving family. (Jeanneline) Even though my little Zoe is adopted, you can't fool a mother's heart, we won't be waiting for her like this!
(Muddy puddles squelch underfoot)
(Lian-Chu)Â Jeanneline is right: we can't go with the flow, we have to act!
(The grumble of a morning thunderstorm)
(Hector overcomes drowsiness and disgust) Urrr! SQUELCH! SNORT! (The plaintive wheeze of Gwizdo) SERIOUSLY?! Buddy, you expect to find her on foot in such darkness and all alone?! Brrr, you'll get wet again!
(The sound of rain and the roar of plasma clots among the clouds)
(Lian-Chu) Do you remember any hints about where Zoria wanted to go? Did she say anything to you in your literacy class while she was quarantined? We can't let her repeat the fate of her real parents...
(Sounds of a heavy rainstorm and Hector's half-asleep efforts)
(Gwizdo) What makes you think she likes to share secrets with me? Well, yes, in the heat, she complained that she was tired of fan letters and wanted to see the polar lands. But we're done with Neglur in the North...
(Thunderclaps)
(Gwizdo) Boy, oh boy! THE SOUTH POLE! IT'S HALF A WEEK AWAY!
(It's been a little less than the promised half of the week - the one who doesn't fuss has more time!)
(Gwizdo) The stop didn't disappoint. Now we know: the junk dealer in the repair booth complains that a girl in a coat had ruined him for canvas, bath cloths and some kind of rusty pedal-operated screw. We've just flew thousands of miles from women's tears, but we already foresee new onesâŠ
(Finally, everyone allowed the big hostess to cry her big heart out)
(Jeanneline) My brave and silly babygirl, it's ALL MY FAULT! How could I forget that your heart still hasn't healed after the pirate ship?! And now the boys have disappeared after you!
(Gwizdo) Hmm, I was lucky to have saved up something by delivering Jeanneline's concoction to the palaces. At least Noble Kayo's cholera vaccine wasn't sold out because of our hunger strike.
(Lian-Chu) The crowns are green: it looks like that valley is warming up from inside of the mount! Shall we go down?"
(Gwizdo) It's useless. I see that the warm parts of the pole don't attract our "princess Solarhead".
(Gwizdo) You know, I'd like to change the archipelago. These mountains stress me out!
(Dense multi-year snow crunches pleasantly at every step)
(Lian-Chu) Pleasant frosty air. Zoria didn't like to sunbathe, so I chose a cool time every morning when I taught her to float. Hey, judging by the paintings from that tavern at the South Pole, there are auroras, such a dancing light in the night sky... I'd like to see it!
(Gwizdo) Well, well! It's in our best interests to not test the immune system! Let this impudent girl continue to wander, warming herself and eating in her own way, until we provide her with an anti-cholera vaccine and wrap her in a carpet to deliver her back to her mom for drinking borback goulash! I won't let my plans plans to open a private school to be ruined because of someone's stupidity!
(Snowdrifts wheezing under Lian-Chu's nimble feet)
(Lian-Chu's excited cry)Â Great idea, Gwizdo!
(Lian-Chu)Â We can't stay here for long, so put your telescope away AND RUN FOR COVER!!!
(Gwizdo) Stop breaking your voice, Lian-Chu, this is an uninhabited flying iceberg!Â
(Gwizdo, instantly falling into a stupor from what he saw)Â Well then, what is... THIS?
(Gwizdo) Trepangs in rice breading! Lactating lizards! We just should...
(Artificial blizzard rings)
(Lian-Chu)Â Follow me! (Gwizdo)Â RUN FOR YOUR LIIIIIVES!!! (Hector)Â Achacha-Chu!!!
(Gwizdo wheezing through the blizzard) Kha-kha!.. We need to sit down lower, otherwise we'll freeze up!.. (Lian-Chu, weakly shouting over the blizzard) I'll try it now!
(Screams of terror and the sound of bodies hitting â well, trained ones! â on the rocks of the long ice tunnel...)
(Gwizdo) WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE THE ROPE?!!
(Three splashes on the entire cavity of the stone-ice cliff as a result of a rapid one-and-a-half-minute ride down the stone-ice hill)
(Gwizdo didn't finish speaking at the time of the dive)Â OH DEALLL!..
(Hysterical clapping of hands on water)
(Gwizdo, who didn't have time to spit)Â Chu, save me, there's warm water everywhere!!!
TO BE CONTINUED...

One Of Many- (Yandere!BNHA x Reader)
Warnings; multiple yandere, reader has quirk, hero to villain thoughts, violence, blood, stalking, obsession, choking, near death experiences, demeaning words towards reader, sexism, casual murder, fear, mention of nsfw, threats of nsfw,
~~~~~~~~
"Tell me about All for One." "Wh-where did you hear that name?" "I was reading over the history of villains." "Oh, well, he was a wicked man who could steal another person's quirk and keep it or give it to someone else." "Is he still around?" "How do you- (y/n), where on earth is all the coming from?" "Tell me more about him and I will answer your question. Fair?"
Your father sighed as he looked down at his lap, blue eyes gazing in an unfocused way as he collected his thoughts. There were so many places he could start from and he had so many questions to ask you before a thought occurred to him. The way you worded your proposal made it sound like it wasn't just about All for One anymore.
That realization sent his mind racing with possible reasons, trying to think of what you could possibly mean. He needed to remember it was also possible that you just worded it strangely and didn't mean anything about it at all. It could be very possible that you just wanted to know about the man from the legends.
"All for One is rumored to be the first among humanity who started to be born with quirks. He had a quirk that allowed him to take and give quirks, but he was not a good man. He used his ability to be the world's most frightening villain, ruling from the shadows of every villain organization ever. Some say he is gone, but others believe he has several immortality quirks that have allowed him to remain in power all this time, operating in the dark."
You listened intently to the story and your mind churned with thoughts based on the information you had received. It made sense that such a powerful quirk could easily result in a powerful person regardless of how it was used. Such an idea was the whole basis for the quirk arranged marriage idea, pairing quirks to make them stronger or merge in the child. Even beyond that, there was the potential for mutations to occur.
You had much more to think about and consider now you had been given a clearer answer on All for One and his ability. There was so much you almost forgot that you agreed to tell your father why you asked in the first place. In fact, you had been so focused on learning more that you forgot the excuse you came up with.
"Your turn. Tell me why you wanted to know."
A part of you didn't want to uphold that bargain, but you were compelled to answer after the time you've spent hiding your ability. You didn't want him to be mad at you, but you also had been thinking about becoming a hero and possibly attending a hero high school. Due to the nature of your quirk, it had taken a while to figure out and you were around ten when you finally realized you had one.
Since then you had been practicing on your own and keeping it a secret from everyone, especially your father. It had only been a few years of keeping it secret, but you wanted to help people like he always did. But to convince him, you would have to confess the secret of yours and what you have been doing.
"(Y/n)?" "Promise you won't get mad?" "... Why would I get mad at you, honey?" "Because I've been keeping a secret." "Sweet heart, there is nothing you could tell me that would make me love you any less." "But it's bad and you'll be mad." "Have you killed someone?" "No..." "Then I won't be mad. I promise."
Your little heart wanted so desperately to trust your father that you decided to believe him. It wasn't easy for you to tell your father that you had done something bad several different times and kept it secret from him.
"I heard about All for One when I looked up Quirks that could take others away... You know, ever since that crazy guy broke in a few years ago and killed mom, I've known that I'm not actually quirkless." "(Y/n), are you-?" "I'm not done yet. The guy had a fear quirk, the ability to make other people scared. I was so mad and wanted him to know what it felt like so I- I took it away from him. He broke down after he realized his quirk was gone, then you came home and- I didn't know I took it until that girl at school pushed me. I wanted her to be scared so she wouldn't do it again... She started screaming and changed schools that day." "It could have just been a coincidence-" "I've taken more and I can use all of them. I looked it up because I wanted to know if there were others like me or any heroes who could do what I can. I want to be a hero like you, but the only one I could find was him, and you said he is the worst of all villains to ever exist."
You looked down at your hands, not wanting to meet your father's gaze and trying to avoid looking at him as best you could. He hadn't said anything despite the pause, so you felt the need to fill the empty space with something. Anything other than sitting in silence with your father.
"I didn't mean to take them at first! But then after I found out I could take them and how to take them, I kept taking instead of stopping like I know I should have. It was small ones at first, but then there were more that looked so cool and seemed so helpful... I think I've taken twenty quirks in total and I have tried to give one back, but it didn't work so I... I stopped trying."
There was another long moment of silence and you couldn't help the way your eyes filled up with tears. You were terrified to think that your father was angry or disappointed in you and it hurt your chest to think about.
"(Y/n), you shouldn't have taken more once you realized what you could do. However, I don't think you did it maliciously. You are still so young that you couldn't help but use the quirk you thought you didn't have. If you really want to be a hero, I will do what I can to help you get there."
~~~~~~~~
The room was quiet as Gran Torino took in the words of his past student, looking out the window at the youthful girl he had been introduced to. There were so many questions and no answers, but even so, he felt compelled to help his student. He still had a few things to ask though.
"You are certain?" "Yes." "Have you seen her take any?" "No. I've tried to not push her or upset her about it. She is a child, she didn't know the full effects of her quirk or realize just how serious her quirk actually is." "She is dangerous, All Might." "One for All is dangerous. Quirks are dangerous. She wants to be a hero and use her ability to help others, not keep them for herself. Treating her like a villain will only make her become one. All for One is supposed to be a legend, but if villains hear of her quirk, we may all learn if that notion holds any truth to it. She wants to do good and stopping her from that may just push her to do bad." "It would be better to get her started on the right path before she decides to take the easy one."
~~~~~~~~
Getting through a hero course pretending to have a specific quirk was needlessly exhausting to you and almost seemed tedious. You had an ability only one other person had and you had to practice it on your own, far from your father's watchful eye. Most people took quite a few years to become a fully fledged hero, but you managed to cut that time in half. Even when others sneered at you, you continued on and ignored them, never once telling your classmates about your father.
It many ways, you felt like it gave you an unfair advantage and mentioning him would put more pressure on you than you honestly wanted to deal with. If everyone knew, they would compare the two of you unfairly and it would be harder to keep your true quirk a secret. You acted as if you had a communication quirk, able to have mental 'group calls' with others and trained your true quirk any time you had alone.
Even when you started working on taking quirks faster and figuring out the conditions for activating it, you made sure to never take from anyone at the school. You also left heroes alone due to their intense press focus and instead began targeting people on long trips. As your father was constantly moving, you would often go with him whenever there was a break from school.
On those flights with many other random passengers you would choose a handful to watch during the trip, finding the quirk that interested you most and pursuing that person. By the time they would realize their Quirk was no longer responding, you would be long gone and no one would know.
You got faster at taking quirks and refined the conditions further to take more and use less energy. It was originally quite taxing to take one quirk, and it took more than an hour of close proximity to take. Now, you had cut the time and lengthened the distance, making it both easier and more efficient.
With your true quirk and the skill you gained from the hero course, you had become a rather terrifying force. The "hero" name you chose was a play on your true quirk and your hero focused quirk; One of Many. You had one quirk you used as a hero to make yourself a hub for information, and your true quirk let you take as many others as you wished.
Your father had kept your true quirk quiet from almost everyone as well as your familial status to let you stand as a hero without his assistance. He had not once brought up your true quirk since you started your hero training and you wondered if he had somehow forgotten. Regardless of which it was, you were feeling less and less inspired by the hero world or even the world in general. Perhaps it was because of your ties to All-Might and the ease at which you could change your own popularity that made you dislike it so much. Your father helped people and was seen as the Symbol of Peace, simply revealing you are his daughter or even just working with him would elevate you beyond what you felt you wanted.
When you thought of becoming a hero, you wanted to help everyone- not just the popular or rich- regardless of fame. Even so, the society that worshiped heroes made so many fame-seeking monsters out of a good thing and the villain side was no better. Part of you felt like the entire system needed to be reworked and the focus needed to shift, but you had no idea how to achieve that goal though.
Even as you watched the night streets with a distant expression, a sense of dread much like a heavy pressure seemed to weigh down on you the more you thought about the world. By social standards of age and knowledge you were a legal adult over eighteen, but times like that made you truly feel small and like a child.
As that pressure got worse, you began to realize that it had nothing to do with what you were thinking and everything to do with the deep feeling of danger all around you. A true killer was nearby. Someone who didn't hesitate to destroy life and someone who had already taken many lives. The very presence they had sent complete chills down your spine in a way that no other ever had or could.
"A lone hero should not be out so late at night, darling."
A gruff voice of some man sounded close to you, but you could tell this scruffy and low class villain was not the source of the impressive bloodlust in the air. If anything, it seemed as if the man had no idea there was anything wrong or nefarious nearby other than himself. But before the man could say another word, long spikes akin to metal components stuck out of the man's flesh with little rhyme or reason.
The limp body was lifted from the ground and tossed aside by whoever owned those spikes, the careless nature of the mysterious presence told you that you had found the source of the danger. Standing within a dark shadow of the building roof, far from the reach of streetlights near the edge, was a man you didn't recognize. If anything, he seemed like a regular well-built businessman, but you got a different sense from him entirely.
His silver hair was neatly trimmed and seemed to frame his bright red eyes rather well, the analyzing gaze locked onto you making you feel far less safe than you had moments prior. The only sign you got that he was likely not the age he looked were the deep circles beneath his intense eyes that told of years beyond measure. This was no man to trifle with and you felt rooted to the ground despite the intense desire in you to run.
You were a deer trapped in the gaze of a silver lion with few escape routes. The thought of fighting against such a force made your stomach drop painfully and discouraged you from entertaining the thought farther. Staying still likely resulted in the same tragic end that fighting would, leaving you with only one option that your own body fought to prevent.
Running away from danger was not exactly smiled upon in the hero world, but knowing when to quit was also drilled into your head. With the kind of 'role-model' you had in a father, running was considered to be the last option, but you weren't All Might. You were not Toshinori Yagi. You were Toshinori (Y/n) and your instincts were all screaming at you to run.
"It's a steep drop off the edge of this building, even with your skills, I wouldn't recommend it."
He looked at you much in the same way a starving animal looked at a plentiful meal and your anxieties raised. If you were to jump down and try to land, it would hurt you more than it was worth, but you must have had some kind of quirk in your arsenal that could help you. The smug and almost too knowing grin on his face told you that he was confident in having you primarily trapped.
"Don't try using that quirk of yours either, a perimeter has been set up to dampen that skill of yours. You know," he took a step forward, his full an intimidating figure seeming so much bigger at that moment, "I have had my eye on you and I think you are exactly what I need for a certain... 'Project' of mine."
You felt the cold bite of rough brick against the back of your legs, knowing you were just a poorly timed stumble away from hitting the pavement so far below you. The insane glint in the red pools of malice seemed to glimmer at you in mockery along with that patronizing smile he wore as he continued his approach. All you could do was send out a signal on your phone for help and stall for time, but you doubted it would get far if he had truly set a perimeter as he claimed.
"What project?" "Well, I have a certain thorn in my side that goes by the name 'All Might'. I have the feeling you know him quite well if your continuous meetings have any meaning." "We're friends." "More than that if my hunch is correct. The amount of time you spend around him, the meals together, I would wager something more intimate is taking place."
You couldn't stop the near involuntary gag at the idea of anything intimate involving your father in any capacity. The noise was interpreted instead as your own form of mockery and this seemed to anger the man at the perceived slight against him. That easy grin fell from his lips to a more irate scowl and his eyes seemed to turn to ice as they stared for an uncomfortable amount of time.
"Is this really the time to be playing with me, little hero?" "I-I'm not, I swear-" "So you are intimate with that nuisance." "No!" "There is no other explanation, so just admit it already." "I'm not-"
You cut off with a choke, that large hand wrapping almost fully around your fragile neck and squeezing with a clear threat of what will happen if you keep arguing. It almost seemed like the man was debating throwing you off himself before an annoying buzz rang from your pocket. He fished your phone from your hero suit with unnerving skill and looked at the contact calling you.
"If you aren't intimate, why have his number saved as 'Daddy'?" "It's not 'Daddy', you creep," you choked out as best you could despite the little air the man allowed to enter your lungs, "it's 'Dad' as in-" "Your actual father."
He dropped you suddenly and you stumbled, now up on the ledge of the building and flirting far too much with the sheer drop behind you. As you choked and hacked in an attempt to get your bruised throat to keep supplying you with oxygen, there was a clear shift in the mannerisms of your attacker. The way he now looked at you seemed all too much like the way a young arsonist looked at fire, somehow feeling even less comfortable with the monster of a man.
"You aren't his lover. You're his daughter."
His tone shifted like a hiss of realization as that grin returned, seeming so much more intimidating. The way his shock turned to delight did little for you in terms of how afraid you were feeling at that moment. So close to the edge of a steep drop you would not escape uninjured, and trapped on that drop by a man who oozed malicious intent.
"That's... Even better! I had intended to leave you a broken and bloody mess to break his overly affectionate heart, but how much easier would it be to rip that smiling idiot down by taking his precious daughter as my own personal cock-sleeve?"
The revulsion and fear burning inside of you returned with a vengeance and gave you the kick you needed to work out an escape. He knew of your hero quirk, that much was obvious, but there was no way he would expect any of your other quirks. You did have one such quirk that would allow you to flee from this man.
The moment you turned and leapt, you found yourself suspended in mid-air at least twenty feet out. You slowly drifted back to the man and fear shot through you when you realized he had easily caught you even though you had believed his quirk wouldn't help him in such ways. He seemed conflicted and almost annoyed as he easily brought you back to him with one hand.
"If you struggle too much, it will drop you straight down. But you got distance and lift with that jump which should be impossible. I know your quirk. I have seen you use it and I have studied it, flying is not your quirk. Not unless..."
He thought as he stared at your immobile form, knowing you wouldn't struggle given your own sense of self preservation. If you struggled, you would fall. He knew this and you knew this, so he felt he could take time connecting the information.
"Your quirk- as observed through your school and hero days- has been identified as a communication quirk. You should not have the sudden onset of a new ability or facet of your quirk at this point in your life. There has been no mention of flying being a quirk you have or should even be able to wield. Either you have a secret side to your quirk that makes no logical sense even in a biological standpoint, or you have more than one quirk. The only way you could have more than one is if I gave it to you... Or someone with a quirk like my own gave it to you. No one has reported such a quirk or has one recorded anywhere in the world other than myself, so what is it? What are you hiding?"
You glanced from the man to the pavement far below you, running through the mental list of abilities you had, but something he said caught your attention. He claimed to have a quirk that could take and give quirks, which you only knew one other who could have such an ability. The fear of who you were speaking with dawned on you fully and practically flooded your system with screams to escape.
"All for One..."
"You know me? Now, this is surprising seeing as so few know of me outside of legends. But," he narrowed those red orbs for a moment, "your father has One for All... Could you have possibly inherited a reverse-mutation as a result? That must be it, you have the same quirk as me because your father has one of my quirks. You are like me in more ways than I could have hoped. Another All for One I can claim as my own... As my other half. And even beyond your ability, taking you for myself will crush All Might's spirit. Put an end to the nuisance and leave him open for a killing blow..."
You were barely suspended over a deadly drop down to concrete by the whims of a man who planned to do deplorable things to you regardless. Now this man knew you were a much greater threat because you both shared very powerful and very similar quirks. A fall from the height you were at would likely cripple a person if not kill them, but to a cat...
Despite how hesitant you had been when taking such an obvious quirk, you were gone and far away in the minutes it took for the person to realize what had happened. Now you looked back on that day and cheered, knowing your own foresight had saved you once again. All you needed to do now was struggle and somehow manage to use a quirk you are not experienced with midair before you hit the ground.... Right.
~~~~~~~~
"Are you going to tell me what on Earth happened, young lady?" "Stop, or someone is going to think we're dating." "Is- is that why you leapt off of a building? Because someone thought we were dating?" "Yes and no." "Okay, start explaining because I can't think of any reason for reckless behavior like jumping 44 stories straight down!"
You were sitting up in your hospital bed with your father anxiously pacing in the room. The fall and the few bones breaking did little to deter you when it happened, but that didn't mean your father was any happier despite the top of the line healing quirks helping you mend. Truth was that you had been expecting your father to react the way he was thanks to the injuries you sustained for what seemed to be no reason.
You didn't dare report what had happened before you got a chance to talk with your father and you were honestly nervous even telling him. There was no guarantee that he would believe you, but you were hoping and betting on him believing.
Outside, people buzzed about All Might visiting the sick-bed of a small name hero and you knew that rumors would begin to spread like wild-fire among the staff. Outside of the room stood your father's one and only side-kick along with the pro hero Gran Torino, having stayed out of the room due to your father's request of privacy. But if you were certain of what happened when you met that man, you knew you would need more than just your father's help.
"Bring Sir Nighteye and Gran Torino in."
Your father didn't question your request likely due to the serious tone your voice had taken, knowing whatever you needed to say needed more ears. It was clear both men were curious as to why they were told to stay out only to be called in minutes later. You knew it would be best for everyone to be on the same page and you felt more comfortable doing that in the hospital room instead of some meeting room with countless potential for eyes and ears to be watching.
"Okay, Sir Nighteye, Gran Torino, I don't know how much he has told you," you gestured to All Might casually, "so I am going to assume nothing is common knowledge and lay the facts out here."
Though it seemed Gran Torino recognized you from the time you met him in your early teen years, you didn't know the extent of what he had been told. As you had never actually met Sir Nighteye, you figured he was as in the dark about you as any common person would be. Your father was nothing if not protective of you.
"My name is Toshinori (Y/n), daughter of Toshinori Yagi; the pro hero All Might. My quirk is the ability to take the quirks of others and use them as my own, though I don't know if I am capable of returning quirks to their original owners. As you all may have gathered, I fell quite some distance last night and it wasn't just for fun."
Anxiety writhed in you and you didn't even bother to look at either of the two men, choosing to close your eyes and focus on getting out what you did know. They would be able to ask you questions later if they had them.
"I was patrolling before a common villain approached me. I figured it would be no problem to deal with him and continue patrol but..." You tightly gripped the sheets beneath you, "but someone else got to him first. They ripped through the man and threw him from the building into the alleyway like trash. I was mostly cornered on the rooftop by this murderous villain and he- he was-"
You were gently shushed by Gran Torino and it was only then you realized you had begun to tear up. It had been years since you had last cried in front of your father, but you were honestly scared. All you could hope was that they took you seriously and didn't chalk it up to hysteria or something else like that.
"He had silver hair and red eyes. He was about as tall as dad- I mean, as All Might. He wore an expensive suit and talked like I was nothing more than a cheap whore. He said he had been keeping an eye on me and he needed me for a 'project' of his. I tried to send out a distress signal but he had set up a barrier to prevent it based off of my hero quirk. He claimed he knew I was in an intimate relationship with All Might due to the time he and I spend together. He didn't believe me when I said he was wrong until... Until my phone rang. He saw that the contact for All Might was named 'Dad' and believed it to be a kink before realizing that it actually meant All Might is my father. When he realized this, he- he laughed. He said it was 'even better' that I was not dating All Might but was his daughter."
You were shaking again and pushed through your fear, trying to calm yourself as you spoke. There was no other time in your life where you felt as small as you did at that moment. You had done nothing wrong, but admitting what had been said and done to you still tasted like hot vinegar.
"I tried to run with one of the quirks I had taken when I was younger and didn't know better... but he immediately caught me. He didn't even have to try too hard. When I realized he had more than one quirk I- I accidentally called him by his villain name... All for One. He laughed and said I was just like him because he had figured out our quirks are similar, or maybe even identical. He said he wanted to keep me as a second All for One and..." "Go on, it's okay to be scared, sweetheart." "... He said he wanted to hurt All Might, by keeping me as a 'personal cock-sleeve' instead of killing me like he planned. I was scared- I didn't know what to do... So I decided hitting the pavement was a better fate than whatever he had planned for me..."
You trailed off, trying to find a way to explain the extra quirks you were technically not supposed to have when a rough slam made you jump. Your father had put his hand through the reinforced wall of the hospital room, his face shadowed and his fists clenched. The heart-monitor you were hooked up to squealed to life with your frightened little heart fluttering in your chest before your father seemed to calm down, turning back to you.
"Are you certain of what he looked like? Silver hair, red eyes, tall bulky figure, expensive suit?" "Yes. He didn't deny who he was either when I figured it out. He... He made it clear he wanted to hurt you by using me and if I hadn't have broken myself out... He would have taken me away with him." "Did he use multiple quirks around you?" "Yes." "And he saw you use multiple quirks?" "Yes... He had learned about the quirk I am supposed to have and figured out through my use of other quirks that his information was false. He... He said something I don't understand. He said you have 'One for All' and that it belonged to him first." "Because it did. It is a long story, and I will tell you when we next have time, but it sounds like it really was All for One who attacked you, no one else with that description could possibly know. It isn't like him to let anyone get away easily, so you had the element of surprise on your side just this once and it gave you the upper hand. I don't think you will be so lucky next time, and there will be a next time. He doesn't leave loose ends for very long."

SCP 035 - Possessive Mask (New Character)
Main Masterlist | SCP Scenarios Masterlist | My Works Masterlist | Rules | Request | Socials | My Original Post
First Encounter You first met the mask during a containment breach on your first day there. Well, you were barely there for a day, only for a couple of hours. Luckily the staffs managed to get everything sorted in just a few hours but during these few hours, you've encountered several SCPs, one being 035. The mask had possessed a D-Class cuz he was just there and you both started to bond during the short period of time you both had. After the breach, whenever either of you would be doing tests and interviews, you'd request them to allow you and 035 to meet up which made the researchers more curious about both your relationships in the foundation.
Your Feelings for Him It wasn't hard for 035 to charm his way into your heart like many playboys. However, he seemed to have a special fondness towards you and would always attempt to flirt with you like no other. You'd always get flustered and would try to flirt back, but instead, you'd stumble on your words which made you even redder. On a bright sunny day, you were talking to Cain and he noticed how fondly you speak about that mask. He asked if you had feelings for 035 to which you blushed slightly and stuttered. This made Cain giggle and he encouraged you to start a relationship with 035.
His Confession 035 wasn't stupid. He noticed your change in behaviour and he has noticed how his heart would beat every time he went near you or even thought of you. Of course, when he decided to pay 049 a visit, he too noticed strange behaviour, but within then possessed man. "Perhaps you'd like to ask her out" the doctor offered kindly as he continued to operate in the dead woman. "I would, but..." he replied. "But? Yesterday I saw a man being too friendly with her. I'd suggest you catch her before she's taken" 049 spoke with such a friendly tone to which 035 stormed out of the door to find you. "(Y/N)!!!!!!" you hear 035 shouts. You were just about to finish your conversation with Cain as you heard him. "Yes?" you replied with a curious tone. "I'd like you to become mine!!!" he spoke quickly and you were shocked and looked at Cain. "Go for it tiger" Cain spoke and gave you a wink as he left. Cain was like a dad to you so you'd always go to him for advice when you needed it. You obviously said yes to 035 and you be an to have mini dates here and there, even during containment breaches. That obviously meant that Cain would lecture you on how dangerous that was and you'd never listen like the stubborn child you are.
Date As mentioned above, you'd be having mini-dates here and there. By mini-dates, I mean like those cliche ones which made everyone cringe. Even the researchers were so done with this bug it's not like they could anything about it. Besides, this was a good thing because 035 became more cooperative when he started to date you. However, that didn't mean that 035 wouldn't stop being possessive towards you and manipulative when being spoken to in a test. During containment breaches, 035 would take you on a tour and just relax in just about every other room you'd encounter. Cain would lecture you and give 035 a warning stare which made him laugh and you somewhat terrified.
When he's jealous Whenever 035 gets jealous, he'd be possessive and mad at the same time which was rather cute. This was evident when he saw a guy being handsy on you which made him stomp up towards you and pull you to his side. 035 gave the man a glare as the man replied, "whoa, no need to look at me like that, it's not my fault that you left such a gentle soul alone", which angered him even more. 035 attacked the guy which left him all bruised up as you just stood there in surprise. They don't call 035 the possessive mask for no reason.
When there's a containment breach Whenever there's a containment breach, the first thing the both of you would do is to find each other. Then after that, you'd both just sit and relax while you ate popcorn during your entertainment. Most of the time, 035 would cause the breach just to see you, even though you both see each other on a daily basis. He misses you and doesn't want to be separated so he'd go out of his way just to stay with you a little longer. The breaches would only last a few hours to a couple of days, not as you'd mind anyways. You were having so much fun with 035 as you'd pounce from room to room. 682 even mentioned to the researchers how annoying you both were to which they surprisingly agreed about 1 thing for once.
Yandere!SCP 035 Yandere!035 wouldn't be too much of a difference from his usual self, but he'd be a tad bit more possessive, angry and violent. Like that one time when a guy was trying to flirt with you and 035 just so happened to be there and punched the man in the guts so hard he vomited blood for days. After that, he took you to his chambers and tied you up until whenever he was done thinking about ridiculous scenarios. Cain noticed something was off between the both of you and soon found out that 035 was such a Yandere. He tried to warn you about the toxic relationship in which you refused to get out of so Cain would warn the other researchers about this. They did take notice, however, that made it worse since 035 caught on quickly and became more secretive about this. The downside to this is that you're so used to this to the point you'd find pleasure in it.
How he reacts to his angry!S/O 035 would think that you're hot and cute whenever you're angry. That would change when the one who's causing you to be angry is him. One time, he said the wrong thing during the wrong time which of course angered you so much to the point you could explode and go on a rampage, which unfortunately leads to a containment breach. Scientists could see you chasing 035 with a broomstick (Yes don't judge đ) as he ran down the hallway with such a look a child would have when his mother would beat him for doing something terrible. And of course, he did do something wrong. After the whole breach has been cleared, word had spread like wildfire and everyone giggled. 035 never tried to anger you ever again.
When someone tries to steal you away from him Stealing you away from 035 is hard since he's always with you and has an arm around you at all times. However, some guy managed to lure you away from 035 and tried to use a special tactic to get you to fall for him. Of course, that didn't work since you've been around 035 long enough for you to know when someone is manipulating you and you obviously know how to uno reverse someone. 035 and other members of the facility could hear a mans cry and began to look. And yes, you were beating the living daylights out of the man for doing such a thing and 035 was proud of you.

and it was your heart on the line
Rating: Explicit
Genre: Angst/Romance
Pairing: Rivetra | Levi x Petra
Word Count: 8,706
Summary: Turns out, it wasn't a request. It was an order. If he denies again, then it's an ultimatum. Pressured to continue the Ackerman line, Levi is forced to choose between his commitment to giving meaning to his comrades' deaths or sacrificing the future of the woman who have always been devoted to him.
(Anon Ask | AO3 Link)
(It's also Smutty Saturday so here, have smut + ANGST. MOSTLY ANGST THO)
It's been a month since he learned about his true relation to Kenny.
Two weeks since he, Hange and Erwin traced his Ackerman ancestry.
A week since they found out what his last name means and how inhuman his strength truly is.
And two days since he received that fucking memo.
Captain Levi Ackerman,
We were recently made aware of the extent of your capabilities. After much discussion in the court, we believe that you will be doing humanity a great service by continuing the Ackerman line.
We look forward to your cooperation.
A great service his ass.
A few days ago, he, Erwin and Hange found out that the Ackerman line used to be the bodyguards of the royal family in the past and that the reason why they were so skilled is because they are titans in human form. They were then persecuted for shit knows what and the whole clan scattered throughout the walls in the past hundred years.
It also turns out that this ability is accessible to all Ackermans. They haven't found out if it's automatically passed down but Levi noted that there was a time when he felt something jolt in him when faced in a life or death situation (which was almost a daily basis for him back in the Underground).
Now, they want to reinstate the line to help the military progress.
The way Levi sees it, the government basically wants him to breed as if he's a cow in a nobleman's farm.
Levi ignores the memo for the next few days and when they sent a follow up for his reply, he didn't hesitate in telling them to fuck off. That's when things went south.
Turns out, it wasn't a request. It was an order. If he denies again, then it's an ultimatum.
They argued that the captain's citizenship above ground is tethered to his role in the Scouts. Denying this request would be taken as an act of insubordination, no matter how much Erwin forgives the said "offense". Moreover, it's an insult to the crown.
The greedy fucks from the top brass gave him two weeks or he'll be kicked back down to the Underground. Since he's the only known Ackerman, he can't push this responsibility on someone else's plate.
- - -
Only his Special Operations team were made aware of the situation. Erwin said that his squad deserves to know why their captain might be out of commission for at least a week... or why he'd possibly be kicked out of the scouts soon.
Levi silently took in the horror on their faces when he broke the news.
"Captain, are they even allowed to do that?"
"That's just... sick."
"Maybe there's a way to delay it for a few more years, sir?"
The only one who didn't speak up was Petra. She just watched the four men converse, with Levi and Eld discussing what the next steps are in case the captain will be leaving the scouts.
The thought leaves a bitter taste in all of their mouths. Survey Corps without Captain Levi? They can only see their success rates getting knocked down further. At the same time, they also don't know which decision to support, knowing that the captain will be sacrificing himself either way.
- - -
Petra has been spacing out since that day. Sometimes, her squad needed to snap her out of it during trainings. She'd been a total recluse, rarely joining them at the dining table during their morning coffee. She'd still bring the captain's tea late at night but other than that, she looks more like a ghost floating around in their squad's side of the floor. They think it's heartbreak since her admiration for the captain is already an open secret between the five of them. No one would've even imagined what she was planning.
She was able to snap herself out of it two days after, and now she's barging into Commander Erwin's office during lunch time.
"Commander Erwin, there must be another way," Petra pleads. She rarely goes to Erwin's office alone and if she's here right now, the captain must've not been aware that his subordinate would approach this topic straight with the commander.
Erwin sighs. "Ms. Ral, I appreciate your concern for the captain. Believe me, I've personally reached out to Zackley regarding this. There's nothing much I can do. I've already swayed Levi's citizenship to our favor once."
It also doesn't help that the government sees the Scouts as the most useless of all three military branches. Learning about how powerful Levi truly is was the only thing that reignited their belief in their regiment after five consecutive failed expeditions and thousands of coins wasted.
The commander looks at Petra and he can tell from her face that the gears are turning in her head. He frowns, having an inkling of what her next words will be. Erwin knows how loyal Petra is to her captain. It's something that the commander himself leveraged and exploited during expeditions.
"Would... if I do it, will that...?"
Erwin's face softens, meeting her eyes in concern. If they were to ask for his opinion as commander, it would be a waste if they allow Petra to take the responsibility. She's one of the best soldiers in the corps and her ability to sync with any team they place her in was an asset that you wouldn't find in any other soldier.
But as Levi's friend, he'd rather not order the captain around when it comes to this matter. The part of him who's committed to humanity's survival knows what the right answer is to Levi's situation, and he knows the captain will choose what will always be best for his soldiers.
"Petra, you know that Levi wouldn't allow it."
"But does it even matter what we think anymore? Commander, they're going to take the captain away from us."
Erwin is quiet for a moment, careful eyes assessing how serious Petra truly is. "Are you sure about this Petra?"
"You know I'll do anything for our cause." Adamant and unwavering. Levi chose well.
Erwin nods. "I'll talk to Zackley what it will mean if the captain chooses a subordinate instead of a commoner. Normally, sleeping with your commanding officer would lead to a dishonourable discharge."
Petra flinches at that.
"But... we can all agree that this is a different case."
- - -
Petra comes to Levi that night. At first, he just assumed it's their usual evening tea time.
"I-I talked to Commander Erwin this morning," she starts, setting down his tea on the desk. He glances back at her for a moment before turning back to his paperwork.
"What about?" Levi said. "You do know that if you have a concern, you can also tell me. I'm the one responsible for you."
"It's not a concern," she replies quickly. "Well... it is but-"
Her hesitance finally stops him. "Since when have you held back whenever we have tea together, Petra?"
"Captain... I-I can..."
He doesn't turn his chair around, waiting for Petra to speak.
"I'm saying that if it will greatly serve humanity, I'm willing to have-," she gulps, pushing the fear from her face to look at him determinedly. "I'm willing to be the one to help you continue the Ackerman bloodline."
Levi's grateful his back was turned. If it wasn't, Petra would've seen how his slanted eyes widened with horror and concern at her words. He feels a headache starting to come along, and he schools his face before finally turning around, assessing hers. His heart fell when he finds that she somehow looks both determined and scared at the same time.
"No."
Petra deflates a little bit at that, seemingly both relieved and hurt from the rejection.
"Please captain, I don't want you to be forced out of the Survey Corps. The scouts need you. I-" She cuts herself off at that, but her silence was loud. He'd known for a while now the depth of Petra's devotion.
"Petra, are you even aware of what you're offering?"
"Of course I know!" She snaps, so unlike her to disrespect her captain outright. "Captain, I wouldn't have offered myself if I'm not aware of what I'll be giving up."
"Then you're fucking stupid for even wanting to go through with this. We don't even know how many they're demanding from me."
He stands up from his chair and grabs her upper arm in a bruising grip, almost desperate to get his point across. "You'll be forced to leave the Scouts, give up your career to take care of a-"
It's rare for him to be speechless, and he finds that the word baby can't even pass through his mouth these days.
"Sir, I just want to help..." Petra says quietly, gaze averted.
"This is not up for debate Petra." He looks at her coldly. "Leave."
"But captain-" He lets her arm go. Petra's expressive round eyes are starting to tear up.
"I said get out."
He watches her hurry out, trying to ignore the fact that she was furiously wiping her eyes as she leaves.
- - -
They went out for an expedition one morning and Levi was somewhat grateful for the distraction.
Reality only came crashing down on him again when he'd watched another soldier die. He seemed new and young, looking more like a cadet than an actual soldier. Probably fresh out of the training corps but died way too soon because he chose the wrong regiment. If Levi remembers correctly, this was one of the newer scouts who had the guts to approach him with bright and eager eyes and asked for advice.
"What's your name?" Levi asks the soldier. He kneels down beside the younger man.
"E-Ethan, sir," the soldier rasps. Levi silently nods in acknowledgement. He looks up, finding Petra tending to a fatally injured scout. Eld and Gunther was assisting a female veteran who lost a leg. He can't seem to find Oluo anywhere.
"C-Captain..." Ethan struggles with his words and Levi can see how his gaze is starting to lose focus.
"I'll avenge your sacrifice, Ethan." Levi says as he holds the young boy's bloody hand, hearing him take his last breath. "I promise you that."
Levi apologizes to Petra in his own way as they wrap up the expedition. He approaches her as she was about to mount her horse.
"Petra." She looks to him with teary eyes. She does this after every expedition, crying for all the fallen soldiers as her own way of commemorating their sacrifice.
"Yes, sir?" she replies in a gentle voice, as if he didn't just make her cry two nights before.
Levi hands her a white handkerchief. "Here."
She blinks up at him for a bit but accepts his offer. He never says sorry outright, but he and Petra have always had this way of communicating where words aren't needed to be said.
They were running out of time. Levi tried to take his mind off the problem by training until his own body gives up on him. A huge part of him have already accepted that he'll be marched back down to that shithole by the end of the week.
Hell, he already packed up the limited possessions that he has.
"Levi, you know this is for the scouts. Losing you would mean losing a battalion for the Survey Corps," Erwin argued.
"Are you asking me to force a woman to become the government's baby making machine?" Levi snaps. "Because that's sick as fuck Erwin!"
Hange told him once that there was a major decrease in the scouts' death toll since he joined. Levi didn't want to believe at first that a single soldier was enough to make that much of a difference, but Hange's numbers was more than enough proof. Since he joined, they didn't need to send 10 men on a dangerous mission when a single soldier can do all the dirty work and still live.
Erwin pointed out that many would jump at the opportunity to lie with humanity's strongest. Levi just wanted to vomit at the title.
How can something that used to boost his soldiers' morale now turn into a fucked up ultimatum that preyed on his commitment to making his comrades' deaths matter?
He supposes that there are other women. He can even just detach himself from the whole situation after the woman gets pregnant and let her raise the kid.
But Levi has an intimate relationship with abandonment. Of being used and treated as nothing more than just a tool. It was all he knew growing up with gangs in the underground, and eventually in the corps as comrades die and his strength used to the regiment's advantage.
He's not that big of a piece of shit as to use someone and leave a child fatherless until they come of age to become a soldier. If he was going to have a kid, he'd make sure that they at least have a good childhood to compensate for all the shit they'd be pressured in. He'd want to be there every time he leaves the wallsânot as a captain commanding his soldier but as a father ensuring his child's safety.
Levi also feels sick at the thought of just bedding anyone. Whenever he thinks of this option, his mind would take him back to a dark closet, deep in the underground, where he'd hide as his mother takes on another client. He'd be no better than the men who he watched come and go from his mother's room in the brothel, leaving her crying and filthy once they're done. It feels as if he'd be disrespecting her memory this way. Spitting on his mother's grave would've been more respectful than this.
The only other option is to drag the woman he'd been secretly throwing longing looks at, so willing and devoted, down with him.
- - -
The night before the government will come knocking on their doors, Petra came to his office again.
"You're up for promotion." This was his last resort.
If she accepts, then he'll be leaving tomorrow for the underground. He doesn't really know which outcome to hope for.
Levi doesn't give her the chance to reply, silently handing her a folder. He wants her to understand the gravity of this situation. Of how much of a double-edged sword her devotion truly is.
"I've already signed it and Erwin's just waiting for you to accept before he approves. We'll be raising your rank, complete with a 25% salary increase. You're still in the Special Ops, but now with the opportunity to command your own team outside of our missions, or whenever Erwin and I see it fit during an expedition. This is a step closer to fully becoming a squad leader two or three years from now."
Petra sighs and shakes her head at that. She didn't even hesitate as she takes away the folder from his hand and sets it down on his office table.
"Please, Captain." Petra pleads, hand moving to delicately hold his. "The scouts need you."
The face of the soldier who died yesterday, (Ethan, he corrects himself) flashes on his mind. Levi's promise to the young man rings phantomly in his ears.
I'll avenge your sacrifice, I promise you that.
Levi surrenders.
- - -
"Captain?" Petra removed the last button of her uniform, her eyes on the floor, leaving her in only her cotton underwear. He watches her while he sits on the edge of the bed, eyes taking in her every move as she shrugs off all her clothing.
"Call me Levi," he corrects her. "Please."
"Levi..." She closes the gap between them, climbing on the bed and reaching out a hand to cup his face to help him relax. Petra gives him a shy smile when he leans closer to her touch, while he settles a hand at the small of her back. She leans forward, kissing his jaw and sliding her hand down to his chest to feel the quick drum of his heartbeat. "It's okay, Levi. I trust you."
Petra settles herself on his lap and gently turns his face up to hers, giving him a chaste kiss on the lips. His hands trail up her upper arms and she involuntarily shivered when he cups her cheeks to deepen the kiss. Emboldened by how receptive she is of his touch, Levi trails his mouth from her lips to her cheek, gradually making his way down to her neck.
Petra's eyes are closed, biting on her lower lip. She tangles a hand against his hair to pull him closer, encouraging him further. He feels himself getting hard fast when she aligns the heat of her core against his.
"Do you want me to turn off the lights?" She asks, testing the waters by grinding down on him. He shakes his head no, tucking a ginger strand of hair behind her ear. The last thing he needs is to feel like this is a casual romp with a stranger. He wants to know it's her.
He runs his hands against her bare thighs before twisting their bodies around so she'd end up laying back on his bed. She gave a quiet huff at the impact, but Levi was quick to lean down and kiss her intensely. He fears he might come faster than they need him to if she continues bucking against him and they need to pace themselves.
Levi plans to worship Petra tonight, because she deserves nothing less. He looks down at her and meets her eyes for a bit before he's trailing down kisses throughout her body. When he's closer to her chest area, Petra removes her bra off for him and his throat goes dry at the sight. She looks up at Levi with half-lidded eyes, guiding his hands to knead her breasts. The captain doesn't waste time, groping then leaning down to swirl his tongue over a nipple before tending to the other.
Petra whimpers with his every touch. When he makes a bold move to slip his hand down her panties, that's when she gives a low moan.
"Is this okay?" he asks quietly and Petra nods. He starts to massage her clit, feeling her core starting to dampen as his strokes become more intentional.
He soon replaces his fingers with this tongue, earning him a keening sound from the woman below him. Levi only pulls away when he's satisfied at how much of a dazed mess Petra is, hands gripping his black hair to stabilize herself. He levels himself again with her and Petra latches her mouth against him, once again grinding her naked pussy against his cock, still clothed in his pants.
They've both lost the initial shyness and hesitation from earlier on, now both driven by their eagerness to push their pleasure further. He's hard by this point, feeling the dampness and heat between her thighs through his clothed lower regions. Petra continues to grind herself against him and Levi gets harder at the thought of how she's fully naked and vulnerable below him. She desperately bucks up against his hips, delicate but scarred hands reaching down to finally start unbuckling his pants.
He allows her to shrug off his pants while he removes his white undershirt, towering over her. Petra watches him take off his top with a primal look in her eyes, sitting up and reaching out to pass her hands against the lines of his firm abdomen. Her eyes flares up at the sight of his cock, hand reaching out to touch before Levi grabs her wrist.
"I won't be able to last long if you do that." He says. Petra understands, opening her legs further instead to allow him in.
He positions himself between her thighs and looks at her one last time, making sure there's no doubt on her face. Petra, being the fucking amazing woman that she is, only nods at him with a small reassuring smile.
Levi grunts at how deliciously tight she is when he finally enters her, while Petra's arms found its way around his back to cling to him. It proves to be a struggle because her wet walls squeezes around him and he finds it hard to pull his head out of the pleasurable haze. He tries to pace himself, giving them both enough time to adjust to the feeling. When he feels Petra's hips slightly bucking up as if to egg him on, that's when he starts to move.
It was heaven and hell at the same time. For a second or two, he'd like to believe that this is a moment built on months of romancing and awkward dates. He lets his mind wander away from what it actually isâa task, a burden placed on his shoulders for an ability he never even asked for. And he dragged the bravest and most capable woman he knows down with him, willing as she may be.
"Harder, Levi," she breathes out on his ear, snapping his head from spiralling down in self-hatred at their situation.
Levi gives into her wishes, bracing himself by leaning down and pulling her hips closer. He starts to work towards an almost bruising pace, wanting to find a good balance between pleasure and pain for her. Her arms are encircled around him, hands running up and down the hard muscles on his back. Levi looks at the way Petra's breasts bounce with every snap of his hips, mesmerized. Her mouth was open in an o-shape, eyes unfocused as she surrenders to the heat of the moment, cheeks flushed, nipples continuously grazing against his chest with every thrust.
"Yes yes yes," she breathlessly chants. "Fuck me, Levi."
He'd dreamed of Petra like this in the past. But as her commanding officer, all he could really do is lock away those depraved thoughts and quietly steam in lust over his ginger subordinate. Being with her right now couldn't even compare to the nights he jacked off to the thought of her.
He can already tell that Petra's close with the way she's clenching him. Her pants are more desperate now and she bites on his shoulder blade as she reaches her own climax, and he eventually feels her hold on him slacken. Tired and pleased, Petra allows her head to fall back on the pillow and takes in his face to watch the emotions passing through his face.
The feel of her wet core clenching around him was more than enough to edge him closer towards his limit. The rhythm of his thrusts starts to stutter, his primal need to reach release urging him forward.
Petra starts moaning again, turned on at his uncontrollable lust. He waits until she eventually comes again, watching her fall tiredly on the bed, before allowing himself to let go.
One thrust, two, and then they tip past the point of no return. Petra makes a low noise once he comes inside her, her hips rising to meet his final thrust. Lost in pleasure, Levi had to grip hard on the bed frame above her to compose himself. Petra holds his gazeâa mix of adoration and desperationâthrough it all.
They both pant from the thrill of their coupling and Levi finally collapses on Petra. She pulls him close, allowing him to lay his head on her chest.
He didn't even know when he started crying. He only realized it when he felt Petra brushing away the tears silently running down his cheek with her thumb.
What kind of lowlife am I? Here he is, crying like a little shit when he was the one who'll be subjecting her to whatever hell that awaits them in the next few months. Female soldiers are normally allowed maternity leave but since his case is different, the higher ups demanded that at least one parent will see through the child's growth.
Everyone assumes that it wouldn't be the captain.
He didn't have to sacrifice his career and position. He doesn't need to sit around and nurture a living being inside him for almost a year. Petra will be the one who'll be taking the bulk of it all.
You're fucking selfish. You're a coward.
"I'm sorry," he whispers softly against her skin. He stays where he is, head laid on top of her bare chest and listening to the thump of her heart. Petra was just quiet for awhile, gently running her fingers through his jet-black hair as she stares up at the window and at the night sky.
"Levi... remember when you told us before to choose the choice that we'll regret the least?"
He doesn't answer back, not really knowing what to say at her hushed question.
"I chose this," Petra continues. "Because you going back to the Underground is the consequence that would kill me the most."
She gently tilts his head up so he can meet her eyes, her hand shaking from the barrage of emotion. Petra looks at his face, awe and adoration shining in her amber eyes as she traces a finger against the frown lines between his brows.
"You're a great man, Captain. I've never met someone who cares so much for his soldiers' lives more than you do." Petra continues. "I truly believe that you'll be the one who'll lead us outside these walls."
"I don't deserve you Petra."
She smiles sadly at that. "You have me either way, Levi. I'm here to stay."
- - -
The next nine months were... Well, they didn't even know how to describe it.
They decided to reveal it to their team on the first month of her pregnancy. That led to Eld's fist colliding with Levi's face. The biggest surprise was that the captain allowed his second-in-command to disrespect him in such a way.
"Eld, no!" Petra screamed.
"Captain, you told me before that you recruited Petra for her skills," Eld said. "I didn't know you'd be the type to take advantage of young girls!"
Levi understood where the younger man was coming from, knowing how Eld and Gunther treated Petra like a little sister. Oluo, on the other hand, just watched the exchange with a crestfallen look.
The guys only believed that Levi didn't force her into anything when they saw how Petra fretted over the captain's bruised face the whole afternoon. She'd constantly throw them a glare as she cups an ice pack on Levi's jaw and would constantly follow him around to make sure that he won't get attacked by the three guys. Not that they would even have the guts to attempt it, nor would the captain let it pass the second time around.
Frankly, Levi's grateful that he has a team who looks out for each other, even when they're not beyond the walls. That's one of the reasons why he trusts them. He doesn't know where he stands now as their captain and he knows these turn of events will greatly shift or even damage their squad's dynamics.
As the month comes to a close and with another mission beyond the walls in the works, Erwin pulled Petra out of all expeditions, much to the surprise of the other Scouts. Her role for the next three months were mostly to brief new recruits along with some clerical work before she closes this chapter of her life.
- - -
On the second month, they traveled to Karanese district to finally tell Petra's father. Levi had never met the man before, and the captain was quiet the whole way to her home town. If Petra didn't know better, she'd think that Levi's nervous.
The truth is that all he feels is guilt.
He knocked up the man's daughter and he was her commanding officer. What's worse is that they didn't do it because they were so hopelessly in love. Come to think of it, it would've been better if they chalked it up to them not being able to keep their hands off each other.
He'd be lucky if Petra's father doesn't assume that Levi just turned his daughter into a breeding stock.
"Petra!" The older man greets them. "Captain Levi, it's so nice to finally meet you. Petra told me a lot about you in her letters."
Levi takes a few moments to revel in the warm welcome, thinking that this day would probably end up in more heartbreak because of him.
"Mr. Ral." He accepts the man's handshake.
"Please, come in! I've prepared enough for the three of us. You're not allergic to anything, right captain?"
None of them mentioned just yet what they were there for and Levi was content just to hear Petra chatting excitedly with her father. Mr. Ral seems like a friendly man, and it's no wonder he ended up having a daughter who's such a sweetheart. The atmosphere in the room was light as father and daughter caught up on each other's lives.
Until Petra has to run to the bathroom to vomit.
He saw the rising concern on her father's face as they listen to Petra retching in the bathroom, and that whole five minutes of waiting for her to come back was absolute torture. Levi, for all his bravery when fighting titans, couldn't even meet the older man's eyes.
"Captain Levi, why are you really here?" Mr. Ral cautiously asks him.
The older man's face cracks when he finally learned the true nature of Petra's pregnancy. He couldn't look at Levi after that.
"Captain, I think you should leave." Mr. Ral says, voice cold that he couldn't believe that the warm welcome he received earlier on came from the same man. Levi didn't need to be told twice.
"Dad..."
Levi sighs as he stands up. "Thank you for the food, Mr. Ral."
"Dad, it's not his fault." Petra tries again as Levi moves to the door. "It's my decision. You know how Captain Levi is important to the Survey Corps."
"But why you, Petra?" Mr. Ral snaps. "You know, I was concerned when you told me that you were the only girl in his squad."
"Please, stop." Petra sobs.
"If I'd only known that I really did have a reason to be worried, I would've demanded you to come home."
Levi silently listens to the whole exchange from outside of the room, eyes downcast.
- - -
Petra signed her retirement on the third month. High from the mood swings brought on by the pregnancy, she cried and even hugged the commander. Erwin just awkwardly patted her head and told Petra that it might be best to let go now before Levi slices his hand off.
She also went to Mitras this month, meeting the people who forced Levi into this situation for the first time. Petra was shaking in anger as she walked inside the room, throwing the officials the dirtiest glare she could manage.
Petra didn't even bother to be respectful that whole afternoon as they brief her on what they expect from her, and what can or cannot be public information.
"I used to hope that the child won't inherit your glare but now I'm more scared to imagine if they got Ms. Ral's," Erwin whispered to Levi, watching as Petra backtalks another official.
Levi shrugs. "You haven't seen her when she gets too competitive during trainings."
On the same month, they ended up sleeping together without the goal of furthering the Ackerman bloodline.
They haven't touched each other since the doctor confirmed that Petra's already pregnant. Her every test was recorded and reported to the fuckers back at Mitras and that thought alone was enough to squeeze out the arousal in Levi's body.
Somehow, they found themselves making out in his office on this night.
"Why didn't we do this during our evening tea before?" Levi asked against her neck, peppering kisses on every inch of skin he can reach.
Petra laughs, elongating her neck further to give him access. "Gee, captain. I didn't know you wanted to be court-martialled so bad."
She's currently in civilian clothing since her last day with the scouts was yesterday. Her dress was easier to access and he'd long since unbuttoned the first few buttons that covered her breasts.
Fuck it, he thought as he moves away from his office chair and settles more comfortably on the couch, with Petra on his lap. He looks up at her, eyes alight in lust as he takes in her breasts spilling out of her dress, chest heaving and orange hair dishevelled. He hurriedly tries to unzip out of his own clothing, eagerly kissing her as she slides down his cock.
After a whole week of sex a few months ago, Levi thought he's already used to the feel of Petra around him. Egged on by their own baser instincts despite the situation, they fucked every chance they can get and it was the closest Levi had to a break. It would've been a blissful escapade if he didn't know any better, and the guilt would eat him raw every time he ejaculates inside her.
But for some reason, sex with her right now feels different. Still heated and pleasurable, because of courseâ it's Petra, but something has shifted between them. He feels lighter, freer.
He's careful as he bounces Petra above him, but still careful not to hurt her. Levi worships every part of her that he could reach without breaking away from the pace that they'd set, while Petra pulls against his hair and leaves her own marks on his chiseled skin.
It's the first time they had slept together without feeling as if someone's keeping a close eye on them.
This moment together is theirs.
- - -
They feel the baby move on the fourth month of her pregnancy.
Levi was the one who first felt it when he was laying his head on her lap. He was quietly reading a report while Petra was knitting a few socks when he felt a poke on the side of his head that was cozied up to her belly.
"Okay, stop it woman!" He scolds and sits up, thinking that she was messing with him. Levi pauses when he sees that Petra is tearing up.
"He kicked."
"What?"
"The baby." Levi's face slackens at that, eyes wide with wonder dropping to her tummy. She runs both hands over the skin, stops and smiles, before taking his wrist to place his own hand on one spot.
Sure enough, Levi did feel that faint poke. He lifts his other hand so he can place both on her belly. Emotion overwhelms him and he swallowed to keep himself at bay.
"Hey, kid."
On the fifth month, Levi was able to strong-arm the higher-ups to give him a goddamn house. Petra knows that this thought would continue to amuse her for years.
From what she heard from Erwin, Levi demanded that the child needs a nice place to grow up in. Since his salary wasn't worth shit despite his high rank in the scouts, it still would take him a long time to make a downpayment.
They approved the request and they moved in a few days shy of her sixth month. It was a simple house, complete with two floors and three bedrooms. One room in the first floor while another two above. Petra suggested that maybe the third bedroom can be his office but he refused.
"You're thinking of opening a pastry shop once the kid's here, right? You can use that space."
"Hmm... but that will still take some time." Petra answers, her voice taking on a teasing lilt. "Maybe we can use it to store all your brooms and cleaning solutions instead."
They once talked about what Petra plans to do once the child is born. Of course, most of her hours will be spent taking care of the baby but knowing Petra, she's not the type who'd sit around and rely on him for the rest of her life. They're still not sure if she'll be able to rejoin the scouts years from now, even when Levi tried telling her that maybe he can find a way to work around it the top brass' shitty conditions. They decided instead to focus more on what they can control now, and he suggested that he was able to save enough that they can use that as a capital for whatever she wanted to do.
As they were fixing their new house, Petra was also surprised that he was setting up his side on the master's bedroom.
Petra wanted to sleep beside him every night, of course. They've already been doing so since that first time they had sex after her pregnancy was confirmed. But Petra thought that it's just going to be her who will move in because the house was a good two hours away from the barracks, making it a hassle for Levi to go back and forth everyday. Petra tells him that she'd be alright with him only coming home for the weekends if it will save him a 4-hour commute every single day.
Levi brushed off her concerns and proceeded to set up the nursery room instead.
"Will a baby really give a fuck about all these colors?" He crudely asks, looking at all the paint palettes in his hand.
- - -
The sixth month was slightly harder. Petra thinks that it may be because the reality that she's now out of the Survey Corps, the one thing that gave meaning to her life for four years, is settling in on her.
Her closest friends in the scouts would visit her a few times every month. Hange's squad, sometimes accompanied by Nanaba, would drop by and Levi had to control Hange from turning Petra and his child into one of their experiments.
"Aww, Levi. I'm just trying to be a good aunt!"
"By trying to feed Petra one of your shitty concoctions?" He snaps back, taking the bottle with the godforsaken liquid as far away as he can from the mother of his child. Petra has to stop Levi from completely banning Hange from their home after that.
Eld, Oluo and Gunther visit her as much as they can.
"Wow, you look like a ball." Oluo blurts out when he sees Petra, earning him a slap at the back of his head from Gunther.
"Bozado, this is the reason why you still don't have a girlfriend." Eld said, smirking. "The captain has shittier social skills than you and he's now going to be a father. Up your game a bit."
Gunther grunts at Eld's quip, knowing that Oluo would take that differently. "Way to go Eld. As if the cravat's not worse enough."
Their visits make Petra feel as if it's just another morning in the barracks, except she now has a round belly. Gunther always asks about how she's feeling while Oluo would brag that he'd be the greatest uncle the kid will ever have. Eld indulges her in her cravings and always brings a basket of strawberries whenever the three of them visit.
She also learned that Levi never chose another scout to take over her place.
"Captain said that it doesn't really make a difference if he adds another member," Gunther informs Petra. "He screened a few. All of them ran away crying."
Oluo chuckles. "Remember when he screamed at them that they're all useless and would be good as titan shit on the next expedition?"
"Please, we all know he's just comparing all of them to Petra. Man's way too in love with you, Pet." Eld replies and Petra blushes.
"If you're done gossiping about me, you're all free to get your asses out here. It's late." Levi suddenly pipes up from the door. The three men shuts up, salutes and scrambles out after saying their goodbyes to Petra, along with promises to visit whenever they can.
"Welcome back," Petra greets, kissing him on the cheek.
"Did any of them give you trouble?"
"If anything, Oluo will give you more trouble." Petra giggles, having had a conversation with Levi about Oluo's tendency to imitate the captain. "He saw your parenting books by the way. I think he's setting up a budget so he can buy himself some."
Levi groans at that.
Through the months, she'd learned that bright little Nifa was recently selected to be transferred to Hange's team. Nanaba would share stories about her promotion to being second-in-command in Squad Mike. Oluo recently got a pay raise and he enthusiastically boasts that he more than deserved it, but Petra knows he's just overjoyed that it will now be enough to send his younger brother to university. Stories that are worth celebrating and Petra was all too eager to celebrate with all of them.
But when she's alone, she'd sometimes feel that time had stopped for her. She'd realize that this isn't just a simple pregnancy and she's not just on a maternity leave. At times when she really is down in the dumps, she'd bitterly question if the living being inside of her truly is worth calling a bundle of joy.
She'd shake that thought away as fast as it came, of course. She rubs circles around her rounded tummy as if to say a silent sorry to her child for even thinking of such a thing. Petra loves her and Levi's baby with all her heart. She doesn't regret any of it because this baby symbolises that Levi would continue making a difference in the scouts.
Still though, there were moments when Levi would come home and find her asleep with tear tracks on her face, hands clenching on her old green scout uniform.
- - -
She was seven months along when he first admitted that he's in love with her.
Well, he didn't admit it directly.
For someone who can easily throw an insult, Levi's shit at words. He made his love known and he didn't even say it to her.
He said it to her belly instead, and Petra almost died at how adorable it all is.
"Your mom's a handful, you know?" was the first thing Petra heard when consciousness starts to return back to her. Sometimes she'd fall asleep in the early evenings just before Levi comes back home. He'd let himself in on most days so that he won't disturb her slumber.
Hearing Levi talk to the baby wasn't something new for Petra. He started addressing her belly since the first time he felt the kid kick. Sometimes, he'd have (one-sided) conversations with her belly as if Petra wasn't even there. Hell, he was even more talkative to the unborn baby than when he's planning an expedition with their squad.
This was one of those moments.
Petra was about to pipe up and greet him a welcome back when he continued.
"If she wasn't the most reckless and beautiful woman I've ever met, I wouldn't have put up with all that shit she'd pulled." Petra's heart flutters. Levi rarely uses words of affection as his love language. He'd always made his feelings known through late night runs to resupply their strawberries just because she was craving them, or by offering to massage her swollen feet for someone who's a real clean freak.
"Don't tell your mom that I cursed." Levi continues as he settles down on the bed to rub her belly. "She'd have my head."
Levi must've been really tired if he didn't notice that she's already awake. He did mention this morning that Erwin was forcing him to catch up on a lot of paperwork the whole day. Still, Petra kept her eyes closed, wanting to hear what he says next.
"Did you know that there was this time when she broke formation to save a horse from being stepped on by a titan?" Levi said before murmuring to her belly: "I can't believe I'm in love with someone that crazy."
- - -
On the eight month, he proposed to her.
"Levi, you don't have to." She tells him, trying to stop the smile from beaming on her face. Her hand subconsciously goes to her round tummy, as if to share to the little one how his daddy can be so silly sometimes.
"Tch. What makes you think I 'have' to?" Levi says. "I want to. Now, tell me that at least you liked the ring because that cost me three years' worth of budget for our cleaning supplies."
He said it so nonchalantly but Petra can always tell whenever Levi is nervous deep down. She recently learned the truth about his past and she knows that the thought of a child of his being a bastard, the same way that he is, didn't sit right with him.
Petra gives him a peck on the cheek and presented her hand so that he can slide it on her ring finger.
"I love it."
- - -
On her ninth month, Levi requested a paternity leave the week she's due to give birth. It always amazes Petra how someone who seemed so cold can be such a great father before the child was even born.
"Are you sure?" she asks. "You won't get behind on work right? You've always been horrible at keeping up with paperwork."
"Don't get too full of yourself," he scoffs. "Just because you're not helping me anymore doesn't mean I can't get them done."
"I also don't trust our neighbours enough to take you to a clean hospital," he later adds.
Petra was excited because this means she gets Levi for a whole week. The last time they got this much time together she was still in the scouts. So she took full advantage of it, demanding that he take her out on a date.
"You won't reject your wonderful, bloated wife, would you?" Petra waddles over to him, asking him with puppy dog eyes.
"God, woman. Are you serious? What if your water broke while we're having dinner?" He snaps back.
"Come onnn. I've been stuck in this house for a week now!" She pouts. "You worry too much, Levi."
"No, I'm just not as reckless as you are." He tells with a hint of fondness in his voice.
- - -
Petra gives birth to a healthy baby boy on the 9th of June, and Levi spent the whole duration of the labor pacing outside her hospital room. His passive face doesn't reveal much since he looks like he was only frowning constantly. On the inside though, he feels his heart lurch every time he hears Petra scream in pain and exertion.
He can't remember how many nurses he'd snapped at. Some of them would even hurry away when he tried approaching them to ask Petra's condition. The head nurse was adamant he stay outside though, telling him that his wife is fine.
Hours later, they finally allowed him in and a nurse handed him a bundle. At first, he was confused because all he wanted to do was rush to his wife who's currently sweaty, tired and asleep on the bed.
It only dawned onto him that what he's holding is his child.
Levi's whole body freezes, and the first thing that came to mind is Kenny.
I'm going to be a shitty father, he thinks, mind spiralling down to the many ways for things to fuck up. I'm going to end up abandoning him and he'll hate me forever.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when the baby gave a gentle coo, eyes blinking open to reveal amber orbs. Levi stares down at his child and awkwardly reaches out a finger towards his face. His son immediately latches on to his skin, a tiny palm attempting to encircle around his finger, and Levi can feel a ghost of a smile forming on his face.
"Hi, brat." He sees from the corner of his eye that some of the nurses raise an eyebrow at that. He'd been talking to the kid for months now through Petra's belly and this is when he's speechless?
Petra wakes up to find her husband fighting back sleep on a chair beside her bed. His hands were wrapped protectively around what seems like a bundle of cloth and he's clutching it to his chest.
He snaps out of his drowsy state when he sees her eyes open. "You're awake."
Petra hums. "Is... is that him?"
Levi nods and Petra's eyes light up despite the exhaustion weighing them down. He moves to pass on the baby boy to her, leaving a kiss on her sweaty forehead before he sits back down on the chair. He's not surprised that Petra started tearing up.
"Oh, Levi... he's so beautiful." Petra leans down to pepper kisses on the child's sleeping face. "He looks just like you."
Levi had never felt peace like this for awhile. A sick and sad part of him feared that if he'll blink his eyes closed, all these will disappear once he opens them.
He received a congratulatory letter from Mitras that same evening, forwarded to him by Erwin.
"Who's it from?" Petra asks as she nurses their baby. She's glowing, and even though she's a sweaty mess right now, he can't help but think that this is the most beautiful state he'd seen her in.
"Nothing. Just some report from Eyebrows," Levi answers.
He threw the letter away without even reading. He'd rather not have his mood ruined right now.
- - -
"He's awake?" Levi groggily asks from their bed.
Petra nods, rocking little Theo in her arms. "I'm praying that he won't inherit his father's insomniac habits."
Levi sits up, opening his arms to quietly ask Petra to hand over the baby to him. "Go to sleep Petra. I'll take care of him."
His wife hums as her body hits the bed, cuddling closer to Levi who's currently sitting up against the bed frame. She throws an arm around his waist while he holds their 4-month-old child, attempting to rock him back to sleep. Little Theo's amber eyes just stares up at him, black hair tousled from all his fussing.
"Oi, kid. Let your mom rest." Levi pokes his button nose, earning him a cute little giggle from the baby. "I'm blaming you if she gets all grumpy on me tomorrow."
Petra lightly slaps his abdomen, a small smile on her face while her eyes remain closed.
Once his family settles down, with Petra now asleep and his son's eyes gradually getting drowsier as the minutes pass, he allows himself to drown in his thoughts. Having a son was both a joy and a sorrow at the same time.
Hange always teased him at how much of family man he's become, not expecting that a grumpy recluse like him who's willing to kick the asses of recruits would be so protective of his own little family. His motivation now during each expedition is just to come back as soon as he can to his wife and son.
He sometimes daydreams about leaving it all, packing everything up and leaving their home, his position in the scouts and finding the three of them a safe space to stay away from the military's demands and interests. Little Theo wouldn't end up getting pressured to join the Survey Corps or any other regiment once he comes of age and he and Petra can have another child or even two on their own terms.
For so long, his commitment to the scouts' cause has mostly been tied to the past, wanting to give meaning to his comrades' deaths. This is the first time he looked towards the future. For the first time, he's hopes for somethingâhe hopes for a time when his son wouldn't even be forced to join the military, no matter how decorated the title they would give him. Now, he leaves for expeditions envisioning a future where they can go beyond these stuffy walls, where he can teach Theo how to ride a horse without the intention to prepare him for a mission. It's for a future where he'd teach his son to fight, just because the boy is curious and not because he needs to survive.
He doesn't know what little Theo's future will look like. For now, all Levi can do is protect his family.

Chapter four
Bucky Barnes x Reader
Word Count: 1860
I'm bad at writing descriptions, so this is basically a reader insert into The First Avenger and then we'll see how it goes from there.

After about thirty minutes of driving, we made it out of the tunnel, after another hour we made it to the camp. When the car was finally parked I slid out of the back seat and straightened my skirt. I looked over the top of the car at Peggy, she motioned for me to follow her. She led us to one of the army's many jeeps.
âThe project recruits are in the training field, weâll have to drive over to them." She hoisted herself up into the cab and I quickly followed suit. The ride to the training field was short, but in the few minutes, it took us to get there a wave of anxiety crashed onto me.
The thought of seeing Steve here was panic-inducing. I had only just seen him a few hours before but having him see me in the job that I had kept secret from him was not fun. I had a feeling that this was going to be a long day.
As the jeep came to a stop I could see the line of recruits and there stood Steve right in the middle of them. He wasn't that hard to miss, he did stick out like a sore thumb. I leaned up between Peggy and the driver and said, "I don't think i can do this right now."
Peggy looked over her shoulder at me, "you can do this Roger's, there is nothing to worry about. Let's just go do our job." I took a deep breath and nodded, exiting the jeep.
I trailed slowly behind Peggy and stopped just out of Steve's view. I watched while she introduced herself to the line of men. As she walked down the line one of the men commented on her accent. Turning to ask his name he responded with, "Gilmore Hodge, your majesty."
Peggy then asked him to step forward and once he had done so, he was swiftly met with a punch to the face. I let a small laugh out as he fell backward.
âAgent Carter, I see youâre breaking in the candidates. I also see that youâve brought Agent Rogers as well,â Colonel Phillips called out as he and Dr. Erskine came towards the group. We both quickly gave him a salute. With the mention of my name, I knew my cover was blown and I walked out to where Peggy and Coronel Phillips stood and introduced myself. My eyes fell on Steve who looked utterly shocked.
The Coronel then proceeds to give his small speech about how we would win the war because we have âthe best menâ. When he noticed Steve he also added âand because they are going to get better.â He continued by telling the men about the SSR and what the goal of the program was. When the words super-soldier were said, I could see the men take a sharp breath in and puff their chests out. From the looks of it, I could already tell these men were not what a super-soldier should be. I continued to watch Steve as he sent me questioning looks. I mouthed to him that I would explain later and he nodded slightly.
After the Coronelâs speech was when the real work began. They went straight into training exercises, push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, every exercise you could think of. I stood back and watched, only chiming in when I saw one of the men slacking or doing something incorrectly. Steve was in the middle of the group, trying his hardest to keep up with the others, but he never quit.
Once night fell the recruits were sent off to the canteen for supper. They all trotted off in a group but Steve didnât move from the spot he had been in. I looked over at him and sighed. I waved Peggy on and walked over to my brother. He started to speak but I quickly interrupted him. âBefore you say anything I want to say Iâm sorry for keeping this from you, I was legally forbidden from saying anything to you.â
He stood there for a minute processing, mouth opening and closing like he was going to say something but then quickly thought better of it. He raked his hands through his hair and exhaled heavily. âI.. I have no idea what to say. When did you even have the time to join the SSR?â He asked, sounding a little cross.
âDo you remember when I started taking night classes down at the community college? Well, I was actually in training here with the SSR. Iâm not really sure how it happened, it just did. I really wanted to tell you so bad, but I couldnât. I hope you understand why.â My head hung low as I spoke, this and my engagement were the only two things I have ever kept from my brother and to have one less thing weighing on my mind felt like a relief.
âI understand, you only did what was asked of you,â he spoke calmly and pulled me into a hug.
âThank you, Stevie.â I gave him a tight hug back. I let go and started to walk to the canteen. âNow, here I am your superior, I can't be giving you special treatment because youâre my big brother.â
âI wouldnât want you to. So do I just call you Agent Rogers from now on? I'm not going to lie, that's a little weird,â He laughed, falling into step with me.
âYes that's exactly what you should call me and Iâll just call you Rogers from now on, maybe with a little more force.â I chuckled and shook my head, âI have a meeting to get to so go get some supper and get your things unpacked. Iâll see you bright and early tomorrow morning at 0600, soldier.â I turned to my right and headed for the main office building of the camp.
Over the next few days, Peggy and I watched over the training of the recruits. I watched as Steve lagged behind in every exercise and obstacle, but he managed to pull through. He used his smarts to get through some of the tasks, unlike the others who relied on their brute force. Dr. Erskine kept a close eye on him whenever he was present on the training field. I knew that Steve was his one and only choice out of the group to help further the experiment we were conducting.
Today was no different than any other, I peered at the men doing seats of burpees in the midday heat. âLet's go girlies! Faster! My grandmother can do these faster than this!â I yelled, pacing back and forth behind the group. To my right, I noticed the
Coronel and Dr. Erskine had arrived. They were deep in a conversation when I heard Peggy shout from the front of the group and I turned back to watch the men do their exercises.
The next thing I knew someone was shouting âgrenadeâ. The whole area went into a panic. I spotted the grenade and started towards it in hopes to reduce the damage it would do if it was just left to sit. Before I could reach it, Steve dove on top of it.
âGet away! Get back!â he yelled. I dropped to my knees next to him, my heart pounded in anxiety but the explosion never came. I realized that it was a dud, one of the grenades used to train with. Steve uncurled himself out of his position and looked over at Colonel Phillips and Dr. Erskine, âIs this a test?â I grabbed his arm and pulled him up to his feet with me.
âWell, that was interesting. I canât believe you would jump on a grenade Steve,â I shook my head.
âYouâre one to talk, I saw you running straight for it too. Even when I was on top of it you still stayed. I told you to get away,â he chided.
âSteve donât scold me, I couldn't just let you blow up. That was really brave of you though. Not many people would do what you just did.â
âMr. Rogers, Agent Rogers, please come see me for a moment,â called Dr. Erskine. Steve and I looked at one another and then walked over to the doctor. âCome, follow me.â He led us to a jeep where we hopped in and were taken to one of the office buildings.
Inside the office, Dr. Erskine pointed at two chairs for us to sit in while he went behind his desk and took his seat. âIâll just get right to the point. Mr. Rogers, I believe you will be the best candidate for this operation. You too Agent Rogers. I believe you both will be the best options for what we are trying to do here.â He explained to us. I couldnât believe what I was hearing. This project was supposed to only have one participant, not two.
âIf I may, I thought this was only going to be carried out on only one person, why choose the both of us,â I questioned.
Dr. Erskine looked at Steve and then at me. âThis is my experiment, I can choose however many test subjects I would like to perform on. Not only that but you both displayed what I would like a candidate for the experiment to have, and that's courage and a good heart. Agent Rogers Iâve known you for a couple years now and I have had you in mind for this for a while,â He paused and looked down at the papers on his desk, âI also believe that since I did some testing with your blood work that the success rate will be greater since the two of you are siblings.â
Steve and I nodded as we listened to what he was telling us. He continued to recount to us what he had experienced with Hitler and Johann Schmidt. He told us of the unfinished serum that Schmidt had taken and that there were dire consequences, he had gained power and strength but at what cost?
âThe serum,â he paused, âthe serum amplifies what is on the inside, not just physicality. Good becomes great and bad becomes worse. Not only did I choose you because of what I have seen in you but because I know that someone who is weak or has been looked down upon knows the value of strength and compassion, unlike the bully who has had power his whole life.â He poured himself a drink and then two more for us. âJust promise me that whatever happens in the lab tomorrow, you two will stay good-hearted and true to yourself, do not become the perfect soldiers they want you to be. Now, drink up, you have a procedure tomorrow no liquids or food will be allowed after 10 oâclock tonight.â He handed us our glasses and then he picked his own up. I glanced at Steve and after raising my glass in a toast I slung my head back and felt the burn of the alcohol sliding down my throat.

Kai had his hand on your back as you walked together to the room where he would once again be meeting with the league of villains, however this time he wouldn't be meeting with their leader.
This time he wouldn't be meeting with the leader but rather some of the men that Shigaraki temporarily traded to Kai over whatever business they had excluded you from when they went to talk in private.
Kai led you back to the same couch with the same glass table. Not wanting to work Kai up, you quickly took your seat and kept your head hung low.
You were sure you looked as pathetic as you felt. All scared and polite. You were hugging yourself and made yourself look as small as possible. You were simply playing the game to survive.
You weren't sure why Kai even brought you to another business meeting, especially after he excluded you from parts of the last one. You were nearly positive that Kai was letting you out of the bedroom as a reward for the way he forced himself on you the previous night.
But no amount of rewards would make up for it. No amount of rewards could make up for the way he made you feel.
It wouldn't make up for the way you flinched when someone touched you. It wouldn't make up for the way you couldn't look people in the eyes.
It wouldn't make up for the way you felt so lonely, and naked under the gaze of everybody you passed. It wouldn't make up for the nagging voice in the back of your head that said you deserved it, that it would've been avoided if you loved him better.
You truly didn't know if you wanted to hate Kai for doing it, or if you wanted to hate yourself for not fighting him better.
Kai sat down next to you and you slightly flinched. You tried not to pull away from him, but you did. You raised your head and saw him look over at you, and the look in his eyes said it all. You shouldn't have flinched, you shouldn't have pulled away. You knew once the meeting was over you would be in trouble.
You lowered your head again and bit on your lip as the group of villains came into the room. They stood across from you and you stared at their shoes, too intimidated to meet their eyes.
The first pair of shoes were brown. They stopped above the ankle and the wearer had grey knee-high socks. The second person had ash-white shoes, they looked like they were leather or latex, you weren't sure. The last pair of shoes were a pair of combat boots.
You were sure the combat boots belonged to Dabi, the villain you met at the last meeting. Your lips slowly quipped into a smile. Kai could take everything. You freedom, your dignity, but he wouldn't have this.
Kai had yet to figure out how you destroyed the ties of your dress. He would never know that it was Dabi, a random man showing you an act of kindness. This was one thing you would always have, a secret Kai would never know. Despite the naked, violated feeling Kai gave you, you could find solace in the stapled mans smile.Â
"My name's Toga and I was told to come here. Hiya."
"Long time no see, birdman. Be warned, I'll never forgive you. So happy to be on the team!"
"Dabi."Â
Despite the second man's half peppy sentence, you could tell the group of villains weren't happy about being here. You wondered what it was Kai must have done to them to cause such anger, but it wasn't hard to guess.
"Wonderful. Sorry about the whole Magna thing. It's unfortunate, I didn't wanna kill him."
"You mean her."
"Don't make that mistake again."
You could tell Kai wasn't really remorseful, he was just playing nice with his new lackeys. If anything, he was remorseful because he had to get his hands dirty.Â
"Anyway, this is no time to be making grudges, we're on the same team now. I want your help with my plan."
"Bastard, you tried to play it cool the first time we met too, like you don't care about anything. So what are our orders?"
"Just follow what I tell everyone else in the organization. But first things first. I want the details of your quirks. It'll be easier for us to work together if I can fully understand what you do."
You couldn't help but let your eyes linger on Dabi's face. You knew you shouldn't stare, especially with your boyfriend next to you, but you couldn't find the will to care. The more you thought of Kai or anyone associated with him, you thought of the way he held you down. But when you looked at Dabi, you thought of the way he smited the ties off your dress. You thought of the way he helped you.Â
"I think I'll tell you about my powers when you need to know about them, and just so we're clear, I don't like you people."
"I agree with Toga, we'll tell you when we feel like it. Won't get anything outta me. No way. My lips are sealed."
"What is your quirk?"
Memento, using his quirk, forced the ash-colored villain to talk.
"I can make doubles of anything. I can make two doubles at a time. Huh, what just happened. It's like the words just tumbled out of my mouth."
"So much for my lips are sealed."
"What is your quirk."
"If I drink someone's blood I can turn into them. If I drink lots of blood I can turn into multiple people."
The girl, Toga, looked shocked that the information was pulled out of her. Memento turned his eyes to Dabi, ready to force him to pipe up with his own quit. However Dabi spits the information out willingly, he must have realized Memento had a quirk which could force his words.
"Cremation. I can create blue flames from my hands."
"One more thing. Did Shigaraki say anything about betraying me."Â
The three villains each say different variations of no in unison. You wondered if they were lying based on their body stance, but Dabi seemed calm. Although, you suspected you could kill someone in front of him and he would be calm. Something about the teal eyed villain gave you vibes that he was a chill guy. Â
"Alright then, I'll accept you as members of the Shie Hassaikai. You'll be part of my temp squad, except for you. Your staples are too attention-grabbing. I want you to stay inside the facility and watch her. Follow her around wherever she wants, just don't let her leave or see Eri."
Kai leaned down and whispered in your ear.Â
"See, good girls get rewards."Â
It wasn't a reward but a punishment. Punishment in the form of a reward. A punishment for flinching away from his touch. He knew this would kill you. The ability to roam around the base but not being allowed to see her, not even being allowed to break his rules because his dirty little worker would be watching you. It was going to kill you.Â
Kai got up from the couch and beckoned for Toga and Twice to follow him, leaving you and Dabi alone. Dabi sat down pulled his shoes up on the couch and you had to smile, Kai would so strongly disapprove of it. But as quickly as the smile came, it disappeared. Â
You hadn't noticed it at the time but Dabi was observing your expressions, just as he had been observing them when he first met you.
Dabi couldn't help but notice how you smiled at him, but this was a different kind of smile. This with the type of smile he remembered from his childhood. The kind of smile he remembered his mother showing people. He only hoped that the circumstances of your expression were different.
"Who's Eri?"
"Eri is my little sister."Â
"How come Kai said your not allowed to see her?"
"His whole operation revolves around her, and I don't really condone or support his actions."
Dabi gets off the couch he was sitting on and walks over to the one your on. He peered down at you and held his hand out for you to grab.Â
"I told your little boyfriend Shigaraki wasn't planning to betray him. That didn't include me betraying him. Let's go find your sister."Â
"Really?"
Your lips quipped up into a huge smile and Dabi looked away as his cheeks heated up. Your smile was so wide and bubbly, it was ethereal. There were only three people who smiled like that because of Dabi, but they were long gone from life. He liked the feeling he got when he made you smile, it reminded him of his childhood.Â
"Yeah. It'll be a secret between us."Â

7 17 2015
The most Scariest and Blessed day of my life so far.
I have never been so scared in my entire life until that day came. Iâll tell the whole story here on tumblr.
My due date was on the July 15th of the year 2015. 2 weeks before the due date, my awesome OB performed and IE and told me that I should walk at least 200m to 500m a day to avoid a cesarean section. So on those past few days before due date, I managed to walk to some parts of our village and completed what the ob said.
On our second to the last appointment, I was still 2cm dilated, our ob said after the IE. Still in dismay, I asked questions on how to resolve the problem and might want other plans just in case. She said that we still have our last week to adhere to the parameters needed to have a Normal delivery. If it didnât work, sheâll have to induce the labor to avoid stress to the baby. Also she saw some white-ish particles in the ultrasound (white ink on the ultrasound is what you can see on the ultrasound like the baby, some particles and other thing-y, and the black ink particles there is the water.) It could be the babyâs poop or the water level is too thick. (The water is too mature and starting to degrade *not a healthy sign when the baby is still inside*)
Then the next day, I started to walk twice the length of the first prescription. Then the last check up came. It was July 15, 2015. OB performed IE and still, i was still 2 cm dilated. I am expecting that I am at least 4-5 cm dilated. I was so disappointed that day.
Then, our OB gave us a choice to wait for a week or to perform an Induced Labor the next day pronto. We decided to get the baby out the next day. I arranged my things, phone, towel and the baby bag.
On July 16, 2015, Me and The Husband went to the hospital. We filled up the sheets and all, while Iâm still waiting for my natural labor to come. After 2-3 hours, the nurse put on an IV on me. I canât remember what it is I think Oxytocin. My sister came and sheâs all out support. (goodie)
I was hungry so Hubs went to buy noodles. Then My OB came and said I canât eat anymore due to the IV. ughhh. Fast forward, I was being induced that moment. It was 4:00 pm. I was transferred to the 2nd floor. where the labor room, operating room, and the nursery/NICU room are. Then thereâs so many nurses and I was still in bed. Then they transferred me to another wheeled bed and I waited for like an hour outside the rooms. I canât feel any pain. Then, they attached some things on my Belly. Itâs a machine that can monitor your contractions.Â
Itâs like a lie detector test but attached to my belly. Once the thin needle draw earthquake like readings, I just felt some tingling sensation. Then they said, thatâs it, itâs a contraction! But I said, is that it? I mean itâs not painful at all. They said, I have a strong pain tolerance. Other mumâs out there felt that painful enough to push. (I felt those tingling sensations 1 and a half weeks prior to this scenario so I guess i was unconsciously having contractions for like 1 and a half weeks until this. :> )
Next thing I know I was transferred again to another room, the Labor room where I had to be induced until the next morning. That whole day was a tiring day since you've haven't had any food, when I was inside the room, that's where all the pain started. The contractions are getting bigger and stronger and longer to the point that I'm making painful gestures with all the wires attache to me and my belly because of the IV Drip. I took a photo of my belly dull of stretch marks to ease the pain. The contractions were a 5-10minute apart. And the nurses are always there, friendly and always checking on me. They even turned off the lights so that I could sleep.
The next day came, July 17, 2015 5am and no progress yet. Still 2cm dilated. Oh by the way, I had 2 female nurses and 1 male nurse which is very friendly and all out support on me too since he knew my sister, he was always on my call. So glad! If it wasn't for him our bills had started to sky-rocket! He said it's the nurses' prerogative to check for the used meds and all but this male nurse, he came into conclusion that I wasn't even in the OR yet and still inside the Labor Room which is BTW has minimal charge unlike if I was staying in the hospital room sooo, yep, good point nurse!
Also, since I haven't eaten anything since yesterday, he said, he will give me food(thank you po lord) but it's our(and the female nurses) secret coz we're not allowed to eat in here. Lol
The monde's mamon and 1 skyflakes pack is all I got to munch on but nonetheless, it sufficed.
Then every 5 mins of all the hours remaining until 6pm in the afternoon is painful since the ob said we need to add dosage to the IV so that I could be in total-labor. That's a total bummer.
3pm, I saw a woman on a hospital bed i think she's injected with anesthesia and the sleeping drug already since she's very calm and she was just on the room for like 5minutes and after that, she went straight to the OR and then performed scheduled C-section. After about 2-3 hours, she was on the labor room again and she's groggy due to the operation.
(I think much better to go with the scheduled one so you wouldnât endure the pain of an induced one, still, the choice is yours!)
Fast forward, I was very stressed due to the contractions and I haven't eaten anything yet since yesterday and I was all alone in the room without the husband nor the sister. We just communicate through texts.
6:10pm the ob came and said it's time to do the inevitable.
***Cesarean-section***
so I was in labor for a total of 24 hours plus+++++. đ
I was very nervous that time. So many what if's and all. Someone gave me papers to sign for the approval of doing the c-Section procedure. And then they proceeded to put me into the Operating room. Hubby isnât allowed at the OR idk why I think, hispital rules? The nurses transferred me to a cross like operating bed and waited for the anesthesiologist to inject some on my spine.
They said this part was a very painful one but It doesn't friggin' hurt. I think i just felt an ant bite on my back but it doesn't really hurt. I think I just had the best anesthesiologist in town.(and a pricey one too đ)
Anyways after that it immediately spread unto the lower part if my body until the ob came and she said to fasten my arms to the crossedâ bed and they're checking on my bp. I had High BP that time since I was very nervous. And the aircon was on my feet. Its very cold and I dont know what to expect. Also the very unexpected shoulder dance! After they injected some med on the IV, My shoulders started to shudder like crazy! Itâs like I was limbo rocking in the OR ofc without any prizes and consolations. The doctors inside told me it was perfectly normal. But wth I didnât know about and didnât signed up for that. LOLâ
Anyways, we waited for my bp to low down until the ob sent the go signal.
This time They put a green barrier on my chest and lower stomach so i can't see how they slice up my belly.
Then the ob asked what would be the type of cut I want, bikini or normal cut, she said it doesn't have a difference in terms of the price since it's always up to the doctors to put their price tag on that, so I said, âOkay Doc, Bikini Cut!â
Then she started. They were chatting while cutting me! Theyâre like conyo and laughing but I donât mind, it eases my mind and their conversation felt comfortable, theyâre also chatting with me a little (para mapa-kalma ako) the anesthesiologist and my ob. And then after 20 minutes or so, she said,
âOh, that's why he hasn't gone down on you because he's had two umbilical cord on his neck!â
2 rounds of umbilical cord on his neck?!â
When I heard that, I was like, WTF! You wanna die even before you're born? Lol Anyways. I was shocked and at the same time grateful to my ob since she didn't hesitate to decide on doing the procedure later.
The I heard him crying! Goodness gracious! It was a very tearful moment but I didn't cry. Lol he was put on my chest and unto my breast to start latching but I dunno he can't but whatevs. (We did delay cord-clamping, best decision ever)
After that the anesthesiologist came and put on the sleeping drug so that they can continue to the operation and stitched my belly back.
After 1 minute, I was very sleepy and blacked out for realzz. The moment I woke up I was in the Labor room already and the pedia checked on me and told me my baby was on the NICU and my husband was with the baby and all things doctor-ish that I can't totally remember because I was friggin groggy. Then after that I passed out again, I was then transferred to my room at about 10pm that day and I can't stand nor put my upper body up because it's so painful and the doctor advised me not to get up yet.
When the baby's there, I canât see him kasi the cot is high so I got my phone and took a picture of him while laying on the bed. Lol.
But this momma is pasaway so she got up and tried to breastfeed the bear, hence the photo below:
Anyways. That's it!
Welcome to the cruel world with your crazy yet awesome pair of parents,
Nathan James!
