So you know how kids can send letters to Santa (Santa Clause, North Pole, H0H 0H0)

I was talking to my boyfriend, who works for Canada Post, and I was like "It's really nice that they don't charge for postage for the letters to Santa, that's nice for kids."

And he looks at me.

And I realized.

They don't send them!! That's why they don't charge for postage 😭

The Canada Post workers will respond to the letters if they have volunteers and time to, but otherwise I think they just go into the recycling.

I don't know why I didn't realize that they don't actually go anywhere, and to be honest I was a little devastated to learn it 😂

Like, I know how the post office works, so I just assumed they sent them somewhere. Like they had a seasonal facility or something the letters go to with volunteers that write letters back.
