I like that even though they hate him and are absolutely holding him accountable for all of his crimes, they also note they pity Tae Gu too for what happened to him and how his father let his mental state crumble to the point that it ended up like this. the drama could've just done that ~mentally ill people are scary~ narrative shows/movies oft do, but instead they made sure to talk about mental illness and how it doesn't have to lead there etc. Mo Tae Gu's trauma, father/upbringing, and lack of professional treatment ultimately brought him there
