WORDS WIP GAME
another round of this! thank you @hellofanidea for the tag once again. these are from some that I plan to publish, and a couple junk drawer pieces for rainy days <3 to keep it going I'll tag ( with no pressure ) @reallylilyreally , @bcolfanfic , @moghraidhs , @saturnwisteria , & @upontherisers . your word , should you choose to accept it, is SPOOK.
T The band’s in full swing as Viv crosses the threshold, a drink in each hand. Willie’s arms are wrapped around herself; Viv knows what it looks like when she’s content though, watching people move about the floor, mingling amongst each other. She also knows that’s not what Willie’s looking at, and the thought makes her snort as she closes the distance, passing off the beer. ( dance with me baby, viv/bucky )
R “Ron,” she giggles, hands settling on his shoulders as he starts trailing kisses down her neck. / “McCarney’s gonna be the goddamn death of me,” he grunts. / “You can’t keep blaming Rita for your problems.” / “Already am.” His teeth drag along her neck as his hands squeeze at her hips, her thighs. ( sad, beautiful, tragic )
I “I’ve got it. You got your camera?” Vicki pauses as he straightens out, and she shakes her head. Hoosier huffs as he slings his bag over his shoulder and brushes past her with a mutterance of ‘Jesus Christ’ that she doesn’t get to protest against. Maybe she felt a little weird about bringing her camera when Vera probably already had a photographer. ( no one quite like you, vicki/hoosier )
C Crowding him without trying, without really doing it — he was aware of Bucky, then, for a multitude of reasons, but the space between them was one of them. He could feel the grief coming off him in waves, then, and maybe part of it was because of the lack of space between them: shoulders mere inches apart, if that. ( my house of stone, your ivy grows, viv/bucky/brady/willie )
K Kissing her teeth, her gaze refocuses on Lorraine in full. “There’s so many things you could be doing. If— If it’s just about getting away, the WAC’s always taking new girls. Or if you hate the skirts then I’m sure one of the boys down at the shipyard could get you some kind of job up close and personal with the boats. I don’t get this.” There’s another silence between them: and I haven’t forgiven you for keeping it a secret, either. Vera doesn’t have to say it for Lorraine to know she’s thinking it. ( is it so hard to say?, pre-war lorraine )
