a/n: this a long 4 part series, but the chapters will be released daily!! also... there is no hate to anyone mention in this story, it is a work of fiction and any hate towards the characters/people will be deleted.
Miami 2024
“Hello lovely F1 fans!” You said to the camera you were holding quite close to your face, “We’ve got a bit of a different setting today, because we are at the…” You took the camera away from your face to show the full setting, “Miami GP!”
You were a small F1 content creator who had become known for your at home ‘track-walks’. Every Thursday you would walk around your neighbourhood or get on the treadmill and walk the length of the race circuit for the weekend.
“This is my first ever GP, as you all know, and I just can’t explain to you all how excited I am. A big thank you to Liquid IV for sponsoring this trip, and this video. We are starting at the P1 box, because obviously. We’ve got a total of 5.4 kilometers to walk, so let's get to it.”
Throughout the walk you filmed information on the track, the city, the race, and even some snippets of fans who happened to know who you were. You were doing a light run when at one point in the video you saw a group of papaya and flipped the camera at them and slowed to a light jog, “I think those are our papaya boys, if I’m not mistaken.” You whispered into the mic. As you jogged past them you looked up and saw it was just Lando with some of his team.
“Good luck this weekend.” You called out as you surpassed them. “Cheers!” Lando called out with a small smile. You smiled back and continued with your jog and video. “Meeting Lando Norris, can check that off the bucket list.” You laughed softly to the camera. When you made it back to the P1 box you started to end the video. “Well that was so much fun, thank you again to Liquid IV for bringing me out here. Cheers to a hopefully amazing weekend.”
An amazing weekend it was indeed. That Sunday you watched Lando Norris get his maiden win. It was safe to say you were crying in the VIP box as he crossed the line. That night you went back to the hotel with endless happiness, your life couldn’t get any better. Or so you thought.
You woke up that morning to your phone buzzing relentlessly. Every two seconds it felt like someone was liking, commenting, and following you. You sat up in shock logging into tiktok to see that your most recent track walk video had jumped from a few thousand views and likes, to millions of each, and your follower count was soaring as well.
You went through some of the comments laughing at them saying this was your first grand prix and it was the best one ever. Some said you wishing him luck was the reason he won and you replied to those comments teasingly.
It was a few hours later when you were getting ready to head back home that you saw the best notifications.
Lando Norris liked your video
Lando Norris commented on your video
You were thoroughly freaking out. You opened tiktok for the hundredth time that day to see if your eyes were deceiving you, they were not.
Lando Norris: "Maybe this was my lucky charm. Thanks for the good vibes! 🧡"
You screamed in the comfort of your hotel room as you read it, replying back.
“I’ll need to come to a lot more races this season if this is the outcome. Congratulations! 🧡”
Hungary 2024
A few weeks had passed since Miami and everything that came with it. You still continued on your content journey with track walks and other videos with your new following. “Hello lovely F1 fans, old and new. We are here with another special edition track walk!” You cheered showing your surroundings. “I’ve been doing some overtime and made my way to the Hungaroring, so let’s go on a walk…”
The walk itself went as normal, shared some info, showed the surroundings, and made it seem like a facetime time call. It was almost comical how when you were walking off the track you actually bumped into someone, that someone being Oscar Piastri. “I’m so sorry, I was not paying any attention.” You apologised immediately. He just chuckled, waving you off. “Don’t worry about it. Making a video?” He said looking at the camera. You nodded shyly. “Yeah another track walk.” He nodded at the information, slowly getting awkward. “Well, in true fashion. Good luck this weekend.” You bid and he thanked you with a chuckle.
Once again, it was a Mclaren win. This time, it was for Oscar. You were starting to go a little crazy. How was it that everytime you came to a race McLaren won? Again your video blew up, and like clock work, Oscar commented.
Oscar Piastri liked your video
Oscar Piastri commented on your video
You opened the video and tapped on the comments to see what he had put…
Oscar Piastri: Guess I owe you a huge thank you for the good luck wishes. Let's see if this works every time!”
You giggled lightly at the comment before writing a reply back…
“I’d go to every race if I could! Congratulations !!!”
Zandvoort 2024
Over the summer break you worked endlessly on your upcoming finals for your graduation in December. You were missing F1, and needed your fix. In a last ditch attempt at getting your best friend to come with you, you ended up back in Zandvoort. “Hello F1 friends! We are here in Zandvoort, home of Max Verstappen. We’ve got lots of orange here so I’m just going to say everyone is in papaya.”
There was no meeting on track this go around, but that night just as you were getting ready to call it, you got a DM from McLaren. You thought it was just a community thing and glanced at it, but when you saw your name, you sat up quickly. You opened it with shaky hands and read the message:
“Hey Y/N!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend in Zandvoort so far! You’ve got a name here in McLaren and we want to invite you to spend the rest of the weekend with the team in the garage! If you send us a photo of yourself, we can get you your passes by morning! Just give us a call when you get there and let us take care of everything else.”
It was safe to say you might be receiving a noise complaint from your neighbours. Immediately you grabbed your camera and turned it on. “Hi friends, I’m shaking right now,” you laughed in shock. “McLaren just invited me to their garage this weekend. What the fuck?!” You showed the camera your phone where the message was still up. “Your girl is going to the McLaren garage, which means vlog time.”
You cut the video there and replied to McLaren with immense gratitude and a photo.
Walking up to the paddock entrance you had phoned McLaren and let them know you were walking up. You saw someone in Papaya and they waved at you enthusiastically. She passed you your passes over the barrier so that you could scan in. “This is crazy.” You said while she laughed. “I run all the social media accounts, and when I saw your videos I just had to pull some strings for you. You’re genuine, we like that at McLaren.” She told you honestly and you smiled bashfully. “Thank you, that means a lot.”
She then gave you a run through of everything happening in the garage, in the hub, and in the paddock revolving McLaren. The paddock wasn’t new to you, but this whole experience was strange to you. “And then you have a scooter to get around as well. Just don’t hit anyone because papaya is an easy colour to notice.” You laughed with her knowing how true it was. “I’ll do my best.”
You bounced between sides all morning, watching the teams set up the car for Lando and Oscar. You loved both drivers equally, you would never be able to choose one. You were on Lando’s side not paying much attention to your surroundings when two bodies stood in front of you. You looked up to get out of the way when you saw Oscar and Lando. “Following us now?” Lando asked with a smile. “I should ask you the same thing.” You shot back and Oscar chuckled. “They told us this morning you would be here for the rest of the weekend. It’s nice to see you.” Lando nodded in agreement and smiled happily. “It was a last minute decision to come,” you told them, “and then I got invited into the garage, it’s definitely going to be a good weekend.” The three of you laughed softly knowing the hidden meaning. “Well I’m certainly looking forward to a win this weekend.” Oscar shared. “She was my lucky charm first.” Lando pointed out. “Don’t fight!” You laughed, “I’ll be cheering the both of you on, see?” You took off your hat to show the underside of the brim. Each side had a number on it. “I stitched two of them together.” You informed. “That’s actually really cool.” Oscar said, taking the hat for a closer look.
“Your nails! Osc look at them.” Lando said taking your hands in his and showing off your nails, one hand was dedicated to Lando and his famous helmet design, and the other side was Oscars helmet design with a croissant on the ring finger. “Very funny.” He said when he saw it. “It was this or a cat.” You shrugged and Lando laughed as Oscar shook his head.
“Boys!” The two drivers looked behind them to see the clock counting down. “I will not be the reason you two don’t win this weekend so do go.” You pushed them lightly. “Thank you for coming, we’ll chat again later.” Lando said, going in for a hug. “Of course, go top both practices.” You cheered as Oscar also gave you a hug before the both of them went to their respective sides of the garage.

f1gossipofficial Who’s that? Today before FP1 both McLaren drivers were seen talking and hugging with someone in their garage. In a different view, we can see that the person is content creator Y/N L/N who has gone viral for being the duo’s ‘good luck charm’. The three seem to be very cosy considering they’ve never officially met.

The following two days of the weekend were spent filming and nerding out over being in the garage. Lando and Oscar of course got super busy over the following two days, but they still managed to give you a wave when they could. Watching the race from the garage and hearing the live feed, watching the pit crew get ready for the pit stops, the actual pit stops, it was beyond magical for you. And without fail, one of the boys won, this time in Lando’s favor by 20 seconds.
You got to celebrate with the team, some of them recognising you and saying you needed to be here more often. Days like this were what you dreamed for. In between the chaos, you never managed to say goodbye to the papaya drivers, but they did DM you.
Lando Norris has followed you
Oscar Piastri has followed you
You’ve been added to a groupchat with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri
Your eyes almost flew out of your head when you saw the notifications. This wasn’t happening, you thought but you clicked on it anyway.
Lando Norris: We didn’t get the chance to say goodbye, but we just wanted to thank you for your support and coming to as many races as you can!
Oscar Piastri: Lando’s said it all, but hopefully you can come to another race soon, and we’ll try to win even if you can’t.
You laughed at the very opposite but almost the same message from each of them. Your hands were shaking as you replied back.
Y/N L/N: You were having too much fun celebrating the win! A big thank you to you guys as well for making it so easy to support a great team. Hopefully I can get to a race soon! If not I’ll be watching from home still cheering you guys on!
Oscar Piastri: you don’t have to be so formal 😂I feel like we can call you a friend if you keep helping us win
Lando Norris: what osc said, don’t be a stranger.

You tilted your head at the comment but shook it off. You were pretty similar to Lando on the goofy side of things.
Y/N L/N: Don’t worry Oscar, when I’m not on an adrenaline high like I am right now, I’m more like you than you think
Lando Norris: great, now there’s two of you
Oscar Piastri: i’ll have to see this in person then
Y/N L/N: is that an invite I’m hearing?
Lando Norris: sounds like it to me.
Oscar Piastri: it was indeed.
Y/N L/N: i’ll see what my work and class schedule looks like and I’ll get back to you on that offer. Graduation is soon so i’m balancing a lot of things

Oscar Piastri: you’ve got a very warming personality that I’m sure all the drivers will like. If you ever need to practise, we’re here.
Lando Norris: If you twist my words I’ll know you did it
Oscar Piastri: Lando!
Y/N L/N: Lando!! 😭 I promise I won’t, this season especially really helped push me into this because I hate the way the media portrays two/three of the nicest people ever.
Lando Norris: i know we’re the two…but who’s three
Oscar Piastri: guess 🦁
Lando Norris: NOOOOOOOOO
Lando Norris: WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO MEEE

Baku 2024
Within the three weeks that passed between Zandvoort and Baku, Oscar and Lando never stopped texting you. The three of you figured out you had a lot in common and clicked like magnets. Over that time, you had plenty of new followers and decided to do a Q&A on your tiktok.
“How am I able to go to so many GP’s? Are you a millionaire?” You laughed after reading the question. “I’m not a millionaire by any means. I saved up for about a little over a year, didn’t go out with friends unless it was a birthday, didn’t buy unnecessary stuff, just was really good with not spending so I could treat myself this year. I’m in my last months of uni, which I got a full scholarship for, so not having to worry about school costs is also a great help.”
“Have you spoken to Lando and Oscar since your time in the garage? They follow you now too.” You thought quickly about it, “I haven’t no,” oops. “They were just being polite and doing their jobs when they saw me in the garage. As for the following thing, I can’t tell you why they decided to do that, but I'm not complaining.” You chuckled.
“What are you studying in Uni?”
“I’m in my final months of my sports journalism major. That's why I’m a big fan of F1, but also F1 got me into journalism, it's a circle of interest.” You mimicked drawing a circle that never ends.
In those three weeks you had also moved your group chat out of Instagram.
Osco: Is it terrible to say I miss having you in the garage?
Landito: wow Osc, straight to the point
Osco: leave me alone
Y/N: if it's anything I miss being in the garage, but no it’s terrible
Landito: what he means to say is…. we miss seeing you in person
Osco: facetime isn’t enough
Osco: come to Baku?
Landito: we took back her invite remember?
Osco: you took back your invite…
Y/N: i’ll be there already
Landito: WAIT REALLY???
Osco: is this a prank?
Y/N: yes really
Y/N: and no not a prank
Osco: answer please
Your phone started ringing just as you read it. You were in no position to be facetiming two people you now had a crush on… yeah, that also happened over the three weeks. You tried to tell yourself they were just being nice and you were caught up, but the way they acted sometimes led you to believe otherwise.
“Why am I looking at the ceiling?” Lando pointed out. “Because I am in no way showing you what I look like right now.” You laughed at them. “Yes you are.” Oscar commented. “We facetimed you for a reason.”
“Face please.” Lando asked sweetly, and you rolled your eyes. There you were in your McLaren x Reiss jacket, curls thrown up into a mix of a bun and ponytail, and glasses over your eyes. “You wear glasses?!” Lando said peeking over Oscar’s shoulder. They were always together, you started to realise.
“Yes, Lando. I wear glasses.” You shook your head with a small smile. “Well, you look beautiful as always. What’s this about you coming to Baku and not telling us?” Oscar moved on swiftly. “It was supposed to be a surprise! I was-”
“Nope, if it’s a surprise we shall wait.” Oscar cut her off. “I don’t want to wait though.” Lando groaned from behind him. “It’s in 2 days, Lando.” Oscar said, looking at the head that was now on his shoulder. “2 days too long.” He mumbled. “I promise it’ll be worth it!”
And worth it it was. After your track walk, there you were, the media pen, questions about the upcoming weekend ready, with an F1 TV microphone in your hand. F1 had reached out to you after your Q&A video asking about your sports journalism career. One thing led to another and here you were.
“Hey Max, first things first, how are you feeling this weekend?” Max smiled. “I mean, I’m feeling fine, I definitely need to get in the car to see how we do on track. Not very well if you’re here though.”
“You know who I am?” You asked in shock. “All other drivers hope you don’t make it to the races with the track record you have, but someone told me I was one of your favourites.” Of course they did. “Well they wouldn’t be lying.” You chuckled shyly.
Max leaned on the gate as you got your questions ready. "This year has seen a shift in the competitive order with McLaren and Ferrari stepping up. You’ve still proven to be one of the best drivers this season and currently lead the Drivers' Championship, with Red Bull fighting to stay at the top in the Constructors’. With three titles already under your belt, how do you maintain focus when the dominance you’ve grown used to in both championships isn’t guaranteed anymore—especially heading into a high-risk, high-reward circuit like Baku, where unpredictability often plays a major role?"
Max seemed a little shocked with the question. “I mean…” You nodded along as he answered and when he finished and the camera was off he smiled. “Those were very good questions. I look forward to seeing you the rest of the weekend.” You smiled at him. “Thank you, it means a lot.”
You got similar style compliments from other drivers and when the papaya boys walked in and spotted you they both smiled but had to work their way down the pen. Oscar was the first to get to your station. A quick glance to his eyes showed the professionalism he was using to hide the sheer excitement at seeing you again. “Hey Oscar, you’re going into this weekend with a double podium from Monza, how are you preparing for this weekend to get the same results if not better?”
Oscar chuckled. “Well if you’re here then a McLaren win seems to be in the cards.” You shook your head at him as he smirked. “But…”
“Thank you Oscar, good luck this weekend.” Before he left he reached over the barrier to give you a quick hug. “Nice to see you again.” He said before walking off. Lando quickly took his position and gave you his eye-closing smile. “Hey you.” You chuckled, shaking your head. “Hey Lando, after the double podium in Monza, it’s clear that McLaren has made significant strides this season. With the Constructors' Championship in reach with just 11 points to Red Bull, how do you approach a circuit like Baku, where opportunities and risks are amplified? Do you feel this weekend could be pivotal in swinging the fight for the Constructors’ in McLaren’s favor against Ferrari as well?"
Lando tilted his head. “You’re one of the only people who’s brought Ferrari into the Constructors fight.” He pointed out and you shrugged lightly. “You’ve said before that Red Bull isn’t your competition, Ferrari is.”
Lando’s interview came and went just as quickly as Oscars and he too ended the interview with a hug. Charles and Carlos were just after and both of them mentioned knowing who you were and to take a stop at their garage.
The weekend went really well. Any free time you had was bouncing between garages and meeting new people. And like clock work, McLaren won the race, in Oscar’s favour. You were doing post race interviews and the wide smile on Oscar’s face when he saw you made your insides warm. “Please come to every race.” He joked and you laughed lightly. “Congratulations on your win today Oscar, after some very good fights with Charles…”
Because you had to go through every driver, and then got invited to talk about your experience on F1 TV-
“We are bringing on the voice you’ve heard all weekend, Y/N L/N.” Laura introduced as you walked into the middle of the group. “How are you?” She asked. “I’m doing really amazing. It’s been such a busy weekend for me, all thanks to you guys for inviting me and giving me some on the field action.”
Will Buxton spoke next. “You’ve become a big name here, everytime you come to a race, a McLaren driver wins. How is that even possible?”
You laughed alongside the rest of the panel. “I just put 50 kilos of extra weight in everyones car before the race this time. I think I’ll run the engine out next time though. Make everyone have grid-penalties.” You joked and they all laughed again. “It’s been so nice having you with us this weekend! We hope that you can join us again sometime soon!”
-you were able to stay much longer into the evening. Making your way to the McLaren garage you saw that they were prepping for a team photo and you quickly got your camera out to snap the moment for yourself. “No, you get in here too!” Zak yelled seeing you and the team cheered in agreement. You shook your hands not wanting to spoil it but then you were getting picked up from behind by a shoeless Lando and plopped right to Oscar.
Oscar placed an arm around you with a wide smile. “This is too much.” You told him. “Nope, it’s not.” He smiled again. You shook your head but smiled and cheered for the picture as well, and then the champagne. The team member next to you handed you their bottle with a wink at Oscar. Right as the photo ended you shook the bottle and made sure to douse Oscar as he tried to run away. Lando also joined you and the three of you were getting drenched in everyone else's champagne.
“There are two of you!” Oscar joked. “Yeah you might be right about that.” Lando laughed, clearing champagne from his eyes. “That was fun!” you laughed clinking Oscars champagne bottle. “You’ve got about 5 minutes before you start to smell.” He laughed and then your face fell. “I don’t have a change of clothes!” Lando laughed as you freaked out and Oscar just hugged you. “I’m sure we can find you something to wear.”
They did, you were wearing a team kit from their spare room in the hub. It was enough to get you to your hotel room. “Want to ride with us to the hotel?” Lando asked coming to walk with you as you reached the doors to walk out. “Yeah that sounds good.” He took your hand just as you were going to exit. “We have to wait for Oscar.” He said and you nodded and without letting go of your hand he dragged you back towards the main area.
“Did you enjoy your weekend?” He asked as you two leaned against a wall. “It was an amazing weekend.” You smiled giddily, closing your eyes. “I hope this doesn’t change that.” You opened your eyes to see Lando coming closer to you, eyes looking down at your lips. You nodded lightly and he closed the gap between your lips. His teeth nipped yours, with a sense of impatience. “Just couldn’t wait could you.” You broke away with his head resting against yours. Oscar. Why did you feel so guilty? “Oscar I-” He just shook his head with a laugh coming to your otherside. “I won, does that mean I get a kiss?”
You looked at Lando who still had that dazed smile, then back to Oscar. “You didn’t tell her, did you?” He said and Lando shook his head. “We’re dating, now can I kiss you please?” He said quickly before taking your lips in his. His kiss was softer but still as impatient. “We’ve wanted to do that for so long.” He sighed when he pulled away.
“Really?” You asked softly, hand coming to press against your tingling lips. “Yes, since we started texting you. Oscar and I just couldn’t get you out of our heads.” Lando said with a small smile.
“I thought I was being delusional.” You chuckled softly. “Not at all.” Oscar's hand went to your hip softly squeezing. “Come to Singapore with us, please.” You looked at Lando who took your hand and held it in his own. “Please.” You nodded almost in a trance.

actress!reader reveals what’s on her phone
masterlist | actress!reader masterlist
based loosely on the glamour interview, screen time :)
“Hello, Glamour, I’m y/n y/ln and today we are going to be digging through my phone!” Y/n sang, greeting the camera with a grin!
What’s your screen time?
“Oh my god…” Y/n groaned, running a hand down her face. “4 hours and 35 minutes.”
“That’s not too bad!” The interviewer said with a sympathetic giggle.
“Well that’s good to hear.” Y/n chuckled, swiping through her phone.
What’s the story behind your lock screen?
“Awww, it’s very cute.” Y/n said, her cheeks flushing slightly as a grin spread across her face before she held her phone up to the camera:
“So it’s a picture of me, my wonderful boyfriend, Drew, and our dog Charleston.” Y/n couldn’t help but continue to smile at the photo and the memory of the evening. “This is at a beach in… somewhere in South Carolina, I’m not giving away our secret spot. But yeah, I think it was taken by one of Drew’s sisters and it’s just such a good memory of me and my favorite person… and Drew too.”
Y/n teased as she swiped into her phone for the next question.
How about a little tour of your camera roll?
“Ooh it’s about 90% photos of Charleston.” Y/n giggled as she scrolled through her camera roll:
“Well, we’ve got some photos from set, of course, but I can’t share those.” Y/n explained. “Lots of my friends and their dogs, Drew being a goof, some outfit photos… nothing too crazy.”
“The last picture of Drew?” The interviewer asked, referring to the meme of him she had saved on her phone:
“Oh my god I forgot I had that!” Y/n giggled, genuinely tickled by the meme her and Madelyn had stumbled across. “That’s Drew as Glinda from Wicked, of course. Doesn’t he just look so beautiful?”
Y/n quirked her brows, smiling into the camera as she held up the meme.
You’re very honest about your love of Tik Tok, would you mind sharing some of your favorites?
“We’re gonna have to dig deep into the archives… the personal collection.” Y/n teased, scrolling through her numerous saved Tik Toks.
“Well, I’m not shy to admit that I am a bit of a fangirl and do have quite a large folder of saved edits.” Y/n giggled, her cheeks flushing as her eyes landed on an especially entertaining edit of Drew. “Now I’m gonna preface that… yes, a lot of these are of Drew or myself or our characters. I can’t lie, I do have a bit of an addiction.”
As she watched it, she bit her lip and let out a flustered giggle. Behind the camera, the interviewers laughed at y/n’s reaction, causing her to scroll onto the next edit:
“Oh my god I forgot about this one!” Y/n squealed. “I was showing this one to Drew and Madelyn last night and we were in actual tears at the comments!”
“I just want to say, shout out to the editors and commentators on Tik Tok for being so unabashedly horny.” Y/n said, pointing to the camera with a cheesy grin.
What have you been listening to lately music wise?
“I mean… the people already know.” Y/n rolled her eyes playfully as she opened up her Spotify before turning it to the screen:
“I told y’all I was a Swiftie and I wasn’t lying.” Y/n raised her eyebrows as she dove further into her playlists and collections.
“Playlist wise, I have my go-to jams, showtunes, classic rock, rap and hip-hop… a little bit of everything.” Y/n smiled.
"I also like to make playlists for each of my characters," y/n explained. "It really helps me to get into the mind of the character and kind of... explore aspects of them that might not be surface level or obvious."
What’s the vibe on your Pinterest?
“Ooh yay! I love Pinterest.” Y/n squealed as she opened up Pinterest excitedly. “Pinterest is actually the most underrated app, I use it everyday for work, memes, funsies.”
“Fun fact, a lot of my nails and fashion genuinely come from Pinterest.” Y/n explained. “My stylist and I have a shared board and are constantly sharing new ideas.”
“Is your Pinterest public?” The interviewer asked, to which a mischievous grin spread across y/n’s lips.
“No it is not, I like to be at least a little bit mysterious and I feel like Pinterest is pretty personal.” Y/n nodded.
Who was the last person you texted or called?
Y/n giggled, not even needing to open the app to check as she pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
“Drew. He texted me right before I got here, which we always do right before either of us have an interview.” Y/n grinned, closing her phone.
“Well thank you so much for having me, Glamour, and I hope that you all enjoyed looking into the depths of my phone!” Y/n said, waving to the camera before turning to the interviewer.
“That wasn’t quite as scandalous as I thought it was going to be.” Y/n teased, winking to the camera one last time.

you don't worry that her demons will catch up to her; she'll be living with cait and vi, and she'll be within walking distance of her therapist. plus, she's done a lot of good work for herself.
the only thing you worry about is isha.
though the girl is older now, around eight years old and much more used to you and sevika than she was when you first met, isha's favorite person in the entire world is still jinx. and the feeling is mutual. so, while jinx will spend her weeks with cait and vi up top, on weekends she'll come back to zaun to catch up with isha.
it's still a rough adjustment.
isha's just... lonely. you miss the giggles that used to fill your home-- isha entertained endlessly by her older sister's shenanigans. and despite all you and sevika have done to keep her occupied-- buying her new games and pets and books-- you can tell that isha's bored all alone.
"what if we had a baby?" sevika asks one night after you've turned off the lights and cuddled into her arms.
"another cat?" you mumble. sevika laughs.
"i was thinking a human baby, but we could get another cat if you want."
you sit up in bed, reaching out to flick a light on and stare down at your wife. "where the fuck is this coming from!?" you squeal.
sevika shrugs. "isha's lonely! we should give her a little sibling."
"wh-- like our own baby?! like one of us gets pregnant!?"
"well unless isha drags home a stray kid i don't see how else we'll get one." sevika chuckles.
you gawk at her. sevika smiles up at you. "s-sevika, we already have two to five children, depending on the day." you say.
sevika snorts. "ekko, cait and vi are ours only in spirit, love, they won't ever need us in the way jinx and isha do." she says. you pout. sevika snorts. "and jinx is all grown up, now." she reminds you.
tears well up in your eyes. "no she's not." you say, your pout worsening. sevika giggles and swipes your tears away.
"look; i know we said no kids when we started dating. but we said a lot of shit back then. remember when we thought we'd go hiking every saturday? we were crazy." sevika says. you giggle. "shit happened between then and now baby. life happened. deaths and marriage and adoptions and moves-- that kinda shit changes people. you changed me. and... we bought this big ass house for our family. might as well fill it up."
"well fuck, sevika, how many babies are you planning on giving me!?" you ask through a sob of happy tears. sevika laughs.
"as many as you'll let me." she says with a shrug.
you go to the doctor to talk about pregnancy the next week, only to find out that you're already a month into your first trimester.
"wh-- i'm-- but--" you sputter.
"she's already pregnant!?" sevika squeals.
the doctor laughs. "it would seem so. good timing."
sevika bursts into laughter and scoops you out of the doctor's paper covered seat, spinning you around her office and sobbing into your shoulder as you blink in shock.
"what the fuck?" you ask. sevika cackles.
on your drive home, you look over at your wife with a suspicious glare. "did you plan this?"
sevika laughs. "you think i'm that diabolical?"
"no, i just-- you decide you want a baby and boom, i'm magically already pregnant?!"
"i can probably smell it on you or somethin'-- my instincts could sense it. like how i can smell when you're ovulating."
you giggle. "that's probably how you knocked me up in the first place."
sevika grins. "fuck yeah it is. i did the math. i think it was the weekend we sent isha up to spend with the girls."
at the mention of your girls it hits you. you're about to have a baby. another one. your own-- one that you know from the first shit it takes.
you burst into tears, and sevika laughs. "there you go, i was waiting for that to happen."
"we're having a baby." you cry, scrambling to grab the hand she reaches across the console. "oh, janna, sev-- i don't know how to change diapers! all our other kids came to us potty trained!"
"i'll change all the diapers in the world, for you, love." sevika promises, kissing your knuckles. you laugh.
"you're such a liar."
isha's one smart little shit. you and sevika decide not to tell her until the second trimester, when it's less likely that you'll miscarry.
she figures it out within a week of you and sevika getting the news.
it could be the way sevika keeps touching your stomach, or the giddy kisses the pair of you keep exchanging when you think isha's not looking-- but something tips her off.
she sits you and sevika down one evening with a frown and her arms folded in front of her chest.
is there a baby in your belly? she signs. you sputter. sevika gasps. isha's suspicious glare melts into an excited smile. is there!? she asks with a gasp.
you burst into laughter and sevika shrugs. "we thought you might wanna be a big sister." isha grins, tears welling up in her eyes as she launches herself at you and sevika, laughing and crying.
i do. isha signs. i'm gonna be the best big sister ever. don't tell jinx. or violet.
you spend your pregnancy being waited on hand and foot by all your girls. vi, cait, and jinx all come to visit once or twice a week-- all three of them enchanted with your swollen stomach and always bringing baby supplies in tow.
isha makes a count-down to your due-date, bedazzles it and hangs it on the fridge so she can keep perfect track of how much longer she has to wait before meeting the baby.
isha's also started to call the baby her baby.
how many more doctors visits do you have before you have my baby? isha signs to you one afternoon as you wait in your doctor's office. you burst into laughter.
"your baby, huh?"
isha nods. i'm her sister! she signs, before gently reaching out and rubbing your stomach.
"what makes you think it's a girl?"
isha shrugs. most of your other babies are girls.
you cackle.
isha must be psychic, because your little girl comes into the world kicking and screaming in the middle of a family potluck.
it's horrible. violet passes out. surprisingly, ekko is the most helpful, giving everyone instructions and calling an ambulance for you while you wail on the living room floor.
isha's watching with a disgusted fascination the entire time, her lips curled in horror and shock, her eyes big and sparkling as she witnesses the miracle of birth.
powder and cait help keep you propped up-- both of them toweling up all your... fluids... while sevika holds your hand and kisses your head.
one baby, a ruined rug, and an ambulance ride to the hospital later, and your family finally gets to see you in better condition, and they get to meet your little girl under better circumstances.
"aweee." your four grown kids coo as they shove into the hospital room.
"hey, no shoving around the baby!" sevika whisper scolds.
isha pushes her way through all her older siblings, crawling up in sevika's lap to look down at her little sister.
she gasps in wonder. she looks like big mama. isha signs.
cait chuckles. "she does."
"what a little fucker, comin' out lookin' like the parent that did nothin..." vi teases. sevika scoffs and you giggle in agreement.
"she really is a little fucker. ruined our dinner." jinx huffs. "i was looking forward to that potroast, y'know."
isha giggles, pinching her fingers together, then flipping off the baby and pointing at her. little fucker.
you all burst into laughter. little fucker's silver eyes pop open, and she bursts into tears.

TACTICAL DISTRACTION
Summary: Task Force 141 goes undercover at a nightclub for a mission. You wore a bold, eye-catching "Euphoria"-style outfit to distract a VIP guard, allowing the team to infiltrate undetected.
A/n: 2/10 COD fics posted! And yes, I did put some designs here and there lmao. Requests are open for COD/Tf141
The loud music vibrated through the crowded nightclub, neon lights flickering around the club. Task Force 141 was scattered across the room, each blending into the crowd while keeping their eyes on the mission. They all sported casual outfits to stay low-profile—Soap in a bomber jacket and jeans, Gaz in a leather jacket, Price looking like an unassuming older patron in a dark button-up, and Ghost opting for a simple black hoodie. But you? Oh, you stood out like a beacon, wrapped in an outfit that screamed Euphoria—sparkles, mesh, and barely-there fabric that had them all questioning the mission.
Soap leaned closer to Ghost, trying to be heard over the music. “She’s really leanin’ into it, yeh?” he said with a chuckle, gesturing to you as you sauntered toward the VIP area.
Ghost’s eyes, partially obscured by his hood, followed your path.“Bloody ‘ell, she’s got the lad starin’ like he’s never seen a woman before,” he muttered, lips twitching like he wanted to smirk but wouldn’t give anyone the satisfaction.
Price’s voice crackled in their earpieces. “Stay focused, lads. We’ve got a job to do.”
Meanwhile, you approached the guard stationed outside the VIP room. The man barely registered you at first, but as soon as you flashed a sly smile and toyed with a strand of your hair, he stiffened.
“Hey there,” you purred, leaning closer. The guard blinked, clearly trying to keep his composure but failing miserably as his eyes darted over your outfit.
“You’re not supposed to be here,” he stammered.
“Really?” you teased, brushing your fingers lightly along his arm. “I thought this was where all the fun people went.” Your tone dripped with playful mischief, and you stepped even closer, making sure his eyes were only on you.
In the comms, Soap snorted. ““She’s bloody good at this. Poor lad’s practically droolin’.”
Gaz’s voice chimed in. “She’s making it look way too easy. Remind me not to owe her a favor.”
While you kept the guard distracted with flirty banter, Price and Ghost slipped behind him unnoticed, disappearing into the VIP room. You caught the faintest glimpse of Ghost’s nod before turning your attention back to the guard.
“So,” you said, leaning on the counter beside him, “what’s a guy like you doing in a place like this? You don’t look like you’re here for the party.”
He chuckled nervously, completely oblivious to what was happening behind him. “I’m... working.”
“Oh, that’s too bad.” You tilted your head, pouting slightly. “You deserve to have some fun. Maybe…with me?”
Price’s voice crackled in your earpiece. “Good work, love. We’re in.”
You smiled sweetly at the guard, then straightened up. “Actually, I just remembered—I’ve got somewhere else to be.” Before he could respond, you turned on your heel and walked away, leaving him utterly confused and flustered.
As you rejoined the team near the club's exit, Soap greeted you with a wide grin. “Ye’ve got a dangerous talent, love. That was somethin’ else,”
You smirked, tossing your hair over your shoulder. “What can I say? I’m a professional.”
Ghost’s low voice cut through the banter. “Next time, let one o’ us handle the target, aye? You’re gonna put the lot of us in an early grave.”
You laughed, shooting him a teasing look. “What? Jealous, Simon?”
He didn’t respond, but the slight tilt of his head told you everything you needed to know.
Gaz came up next, leaning casually on the wall beside you. “You know,” he said, his voice smooth, “if you ever decide this whole Task Force thing isn’t for you, you’ve got a bright future in acting. Or breaking hearts.” He gestured to the VIP entrance. “That poor guy’s probably still trying to figure out what just happened.”
You smirked, crossing your arms. “He'll be fine...”
Price chuckled from behind his cigar, his tone playful but warm. “I don’t know if I should be impressed or worried. You might’ve set the bar a little too high for the rest of us, love.”
“Oh, don’t be jealous, Captain,” you teased, tilting your head at him. “I’m sure you’d be great at flirting your way past security.”
That got a laugh from the group, even Ghost, who stood a little apart but was still listening.
“Flirting’s not exactly my specialty,” Ghost finally said, his voice low and dry. “But if I did, it wouldn’t involve wearin’… that.” His gaze flicked over your outfit, lingering just a second too long.
“Aw, you don’t like it?” you said, feigning a pout. “I thought it was pretty effective.”
Soap interjected before Ghost could reply, grinning wickedly. “Oh, don’t mind him, bonnie. He’s just a wee bit shy.” He pulled you closer, his hand lingering a little longer than necessary. “Though if you’re takin’ votes, I’d say the outfit’s a bloody masterpiece.”
Gaz raised a hand. “Seconded. Might need to keep it on standby for future missions. You know, for ‘tactical purposes.’”
You rolled your eyes, shaking off Soap’s arm but laughing as the group continued to rib you. “You’re all acting like you weren’t ogling me from the second I walked out in this.”
Price raised an eyebrow, an innocent look on his face. “Who, us? Neva'.”
Soap leaned in, resting his chin on your shoulder. "I mean, ye can’t blame us, lass. Ye’ve got a certain… presence about ye". His voice dropped to a mock-whisper. “Dangerously distractin’, really. Almost too good at yer job”
Gaz smirked, nudging Soap out of the way to stand closer to you. “Ignore him. If anyone’s got the charm to keep up with you, it’s me.”
You laughed, hands on your hips as you looked between the group. “You’re all hopeless, you know that?”

dunno if u fw tay swift but.. imagine chris and reader at a party and like they are bestfriends but they are both secretly in love with eachother. and in the song “Dress” by taylor one of the lyrics goes like “i dont want you like a bestfriend. only bought this dress so you could take it off” so basicallyyy true love and looking into eachothers eyes in love missionary type sex 😛
if this would be a bit too long to write, i apologize but i am jot a writer and i cannot execute the idea myself 🙏
𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒 > 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒
you and chris confess your love to each other through a taylor swift song, leading to a passionate exchange.
ᰔᩚ fluff, smut, unprotected p in v (wrap it b4 you tap it), passionate sex, friends to lovers, softdom!chris, alcohol consumption, use of pet names, finger sucking, creampie
ᰔᩚ w.c. 1,756
the party is a blur of laughter, music, and neon lights that spill through the house. people are everywhere—dancing, talking, leaning into each other in dark corners—but your focus is on chris. it always is—especially with a few drinks in your system.
he’s standing next to you, holding a half-empty beer, his shoulder brushing yours every so often. each time it happens, it sends a quiet thrill through you, one you’ve gotten too good at hiding.
"so lemme get this straight," he says, grinning at you in that way that makes your heart trip over itself. "you actually thought karaoke at me, matt, and nick's birthday party was a good idea?"
you laugh, rolling your eyes, even though your face is already heating up as you talk over the loud music. “it was fun! everyone had a good time.”
"you sang lauryn hill and it was fuckin' horrible," he teases with a chuckle, his tone dripping with mock seriousness. "i don’t think anyone is over that yet."
"well, here you are, still bringing it up even though it was five months ago," you fire back, smirking. “seems like you were impressed."
his grin softens into something warmer, something that makes you struggle to breathe. "maybe i was."
you can’t tell if he’s joking or not, and it’s dangerous, this game you play. this flirting that feels too real sometimes, like it’s about to shift over into something else. something neither of you can take back.
the music shifts, and suddenly, "dress" by taylor swift is playing. the melody thrums in your chest, and the lyrics weave their way into the air between you.
i don’t want you like a best friend…
you glance at chris, and he’s already looking at you. it’s subtle, but his smile falters for a second, his eyes darker, more intense.
"this song," he says, his voice quieter now, almost drowned out by the music.
"yeah," you manage, trying to keep your tone casual, even as your pulse races.
he takes a sip of his beer, but his hand shakes just enough for you to notice. "it’s like… a lot, isn’t it?"
"depends on how you hear it," you reply, your voice steady, but barely.
his eyes flicker to yours again, holding your gaze for just a beat too long. it’s enough to make your chest ache, the unspoken words between you heavy and impossible to ignore.
"you alright?" you ask softly, leaning in so only he can hear you.
he huffs a nervous laugh, running a hand through his hair that falls over his forehead so perfectly. "yeah, just…" he hesitates, his brow furrowing like he’s fighting himself. "i need to say somethin'."
your heart lurches. this is it. you can feel it, the edge of something inevitable.
"okay," you whisper, your throat dry.
he looks at you, his expression so open, so raw, it almost hurts. it feels like his usual confidence has diminished into something softer. "the lyrics are hittin' a little too hard," he hints. "i dunno if i want you like a best friend."
your breath catches, your grip tightening on your drink. “chris…”
"i mean, i do—" he stumbles over the words, his voice rushing now, like he’s afraid to stop. "you’re my best friend, and that’s fuckin' everything to me. but it’s not… it’s not all."
you blink, trying to process, trying to breathe. "not all?"
he steps closer, close enough that you can feel the heat radiating off him. "i’ve been tryin' to ignore it, but it’s you. it’s always been you. like..i dunno, kid. i guess i just don't wanna pretend anymore."
his words hit you like a tidal wave, washing over every doubt and fear you’ve carried for so long.
"chris," you say again, your voice trembling now, but he’s already shaking his head.
"it’s okay if you don’t feel the same," he says quickly, his eyes dropping to the floor. "just felt like i needed you to know."
you reach for his hand, your fingers brushing his, and he looks up, startled.
"you’re not wrong," you say, barely able to get the words out.
his eyes widen, and for a moment, he just stares at you like he’s trying to make sure he heard you right.
"this dress," you continue, your voice steadier now, but still soft. "i honestly only wore it so you’d notice."
the way his gaze darkens, the way his lips part like he’s about to say something but can’t find the words—it’s intoxicating.
"i noticed, ma," he murmurs, and his voice is rough now, full of something you’ve only dreamed about, and then he smirks. that stupid, sexy smirk he always does. the pet name sends shivers down your spine, ma, it rolls off his tongue as if he's been wanting to call you that all his life.
before either of you can think, before the moment can slip away, you grab his hand, pulling him through the crowd. he follows without hesitation, your fingers intertwined like they were always meant to be.
you weave through the hall until you reach a bedroom, pushing the door open and dragging him inside. the music fades into the background as the door clicks shut behind you, leaving just the two of you in the quiet space.
you barely have time to look at him before his hands are on your waist, his lips crashing into yours like he’s been holding back for years.
and maybe he has. maybe you both have.
his kiss is everything you’ve imagined and more—urgent but tender, full of all the things he’s never said but you’ve always felt.
his hands grip your waist like he’s afraid you might disappear, and you’re not much different, your fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer, needing him closer.
"fuck," he whispers against your lips, his breath shaky as he pulls back just enough to look at you. his eyes are wild, full of something that makes your knees weak. "i’ve wanted to do that for so long."
you laugh softly, the sound breathless and giddy. "me too. me fucking too."
he groans, resting his forehead against yours. "why didn’t we do this sooner?"
"we’re stupid," you say, grinning, your hand slipping down to rest on his chest.
you can feel the steady, frantic beat of his heart under your palm, matching your own. "clearly."
he laughs too, and it’s the best sound in the world, low and warm and full of relief.
"i was so scared," he admits, his voice quieter now. his thumb brushes your cheek, his touch featherlight but grounding. "scared that if i said anything, i’d ruin everything. that i’d lose you."
your chest tightens, and you shake your head. "nah, you could never lose me, chris. never."
"same goes for you, you know," you add, your voice soft but steady. "i was scared too. but i couldn’t stop thinking about you. couldn’t stop wanting you."
his lips curve into a small, almost shy smile, so different from the confident, teasing chris you know. "so, what now?" you ask.
chris answers your question when he has you flat on your back on the random bed, your dress hiked up to your waist, his jeans and boxers resting mid thigh. he's holding onto your thighs with a gentle yet firm grip, giving you slow, hard, passionate thrusts.
your arms are tangled around his neck, little, soft moans leaving your glossy lips, lidded eyes staring into his as he pants against your face with his forehead pressed against yours.
"you feel—fuck—feel fuckin' amazing," he groans softly, his lips ghosting yours, swallowing the little moans you breathe out.
you whine, your eyes rolling back. you knew chris would be good, all those stories about his hookups gave him a reputation, but you'd never think you'd ever be under him. you also never knew he would fuck you almost like he loves you, but not as a best friend—as a lover.
"chris," you gasp, arms moving to cup his face and cradle it in your hands, eliciting a whimper from his pretty lips. he moves one hand from your thigh to gently grip your wrist, moving his mouth to press a soft kiss to your palm that makes your body shudder.
"been wantin' this for so fuckin' long," he grunts softly, brushing his lips against yours making chills course through your body.
"m-me...too," you mumble through whines, pressing your lips to his jaw, sucking and kissing at his skin.
chris gasps softly, hissing in pleasure as he bites his bottom lip and closes his eyes, "fuck, keep doin' that and you're gonna make me cum."
you let out a giggly moan against his jaw, laying your head back flat against the bed. "m-mmph," you whine, a little more high pitched as your back arches off the bed, your gummy walls squeezing his lengthy cock. "m-m'close...chris...close..."
he grunts above you at the feeling of your tight pussy squeezing around him, tightening his grip on your thighs, his thrusts growing a little faster and sloppier, "fuuuck...gonna make me fuckin' cum, pretty girl...jesus..."
"c-chris—chris," you whine louder, your eyes rolling back as your jaw falls slack, a knot tightening deliciously in your belly, one you've felt before with other guys, but this time it's different. it's so much better.
"yeah, c'mon baby," he mutters, lidded eyes staring into your closed ones. he gently grips your jaw, brushing his thumb over your plush bottom lip. "open those pretty eyes f'me, wanna see you."
you force your eyes open, lidded and glossy with tears of pleasure, panting against his thumb as your walls squeeze around him tighter and your thighs begin to tremble.
chris smiles sweetly down at you as he gets closer, his thrusts even more uncoordinated and sloppy. "there she is, my girl," he groans softly, gently pressing his thumb into your warm, wet mouth.
his words make your body shudder, a loud gasp leaving your lips as you cum. jolts of pleasure make your thighs shake, your nails sinking into his clothed back, "oh my god," you cry out in ecstasy around his thumb, your jaw falling slack, your eyes still on him.
"i know," he coos, groaning softly at your whimpers and pants as you swirl your tongue around his thumb, "o-oh, fuck, baby, fuck...shit..." he grunts softly.
his body shakes slightly, his hips stuttering as his eyes roll back and he grunts, his fingers digging into your thigh as he cums deep inside you. you've never felt so full, your wet pussy stuffed full of his cum making you whimper in pleasure.
after cleaning up, you both step back into the party, the two of you still glowing with the electricity of what just happened, everything feels different. brighter.

If this is Jinx's official (travel) map, I love it.
Most important:
Zaun (and Piltover) - Chez Jinx - house or home of Jinx, surounded by the sun and clouds and, most importantly, hearts 💖 - She still thinks of it as home, so I have good hope she'll go back. (And back to Ekko and the firelights and connect to her sister again)
And the travel lines go to and from Zaun several times, so maybe a drop-in isn't that rare. A cycle of travel, drop in for a kiss (let me dream) from Ekko, and then cause some mayhem for Vi and Cait to deal with and then travel again.
As for the rest? Love and have to laugh at her opinions, and if she's been to these places, it says a lot about her experiences.
Noxus - des mechants - bad guys - just no - there's an image of a square headed vampire (at least he has fangs) and angry scribbles - this was clearly not a good time.
Freljord- mega trop - mega too much - probably froze her butt off (her sense of fashion is no good here), trolls and who knows what else (I'm certain someone with more lol knowledge can add) She might have had fun making a snowman or two.
Demacia - bling bling and snobs - no translation required, what it says on the tin. There's a diamond there too, why do I have the feeling she's wanted for theft? I am guessing she had a blast causing chaos and left when she deemed them all party poopers with their heads stuck up in their pompous asses. (and a google search for prout prout informs me they're farts)
Targon - trop loin??? - too far??? I can't guess here. Has it been deemed too far or has it gone to far?
Shumira - hmmm, ok. - thoughtful, there's a cactus and a spiky critter. An interesting experience? Think she might have found some lore on Janna?
Ixtal - jungle magique - magical jungle - stars and a potion bottle - feels like she enjoyed it for what it was, probably got her curious mind buzzing, if how she was with hextech is anything to go by.
Shadow Isles - Habitants Maudits - Cursed inhabitants - ghosts and gravestones and all that creepy stuff - doesn't feel like she liked it there more like - yuck creepy, interesting but not for me. (and maybe looking 'death' and a curse like that in the eye is a deeply unsettling thing)
Ionia - trop calme - too calm - there's a sleeping head there, sheep, and a game of x&o. My guess is that she was bored, good for a nap, but too much looking for balance. Reading the info about Ionia, though, there should be quite the under current of tension - or is this prehaps hinting that Noxus has not invaded yet?
Bilgewater - Pirates - with a big giant heart. Yeah, I think she had a blast here. It's also where the drawn ship is headed. Free to indulge in more of her chaotic behaviours, picking uo bounties, pestering/ running from bounty hunters, hanging out at the bar. Jup, good time. I have been informed that she'd probably get along with several of the inhabitants and possibly make friends.
#jinx#travel plans and chaos#zaun is still home#so little hints for#timebomb#and vi reconciliation#her travel probably did her good#enjoying speculating what she she got up to#arcane

so high school with rodrick heffley, pretty please
congrats on 2k!! 💞💞💞
So High School | R.H.
summary: your romcom life with rodrick heffley <3
pairing: rodrick heffley x fem!reader
includes: fluff! reader’s last name is Reynolds, kissing, making out, underage drinking, mrs. heffley being a saint, greg being greg
a/n: this one was really fun 😜
You were Crossland Highschool's best girls tennis player. You were the number one player since sophomore year. Now that you were a senior, all eyes were on you to carry the team to states. You've been practicing all summer and had indoor practices during winter until it was finally time for spring sports.
The free time you used to have was all poured into hours of countless work toward tennis. But that never stopped you from being committed to a perfectly good rom-com relationship in high school. You found your mind wandering to him every so often whenever you took your water breaks, a faint blush tinting your cheeks every time.
After all, he kept you motivated to pursue the sport.
The sun was beginning to set as your team finished practice. You had a white towel wrapped behind your neck as your friends left the court one by one, each exhausted but happy with how they practiced.
“I’ll see you tomorrow — Mmph!” You got cut off with a loving yet bruising kiss, your hands coming to rest on the chest of the person before pulling away, eyes fogged with lust before you shook it off. You smiled brightly up at the boy who you learned to love. “Hi, R. What’re you doing here?”
He smirked and kissed your temple, reaching for your tennis bag. “I caught the last bit of your practice with Jen.”
You flush and rest your head on his shoulder as he lead you away from the courts and toward the van, intertwining your hand with his free one. “Gosh, my form was bad today.”
“I thought it was absolutely perfect.” He squeezed your hand softly and tilted his head when he recounted what he last saw. “Although, you were laughing a lot.”
You bit your tongue and held back another laugh. It wasn't your fault you kept laughing whenever you served. A stupid memory kept popping up and it made you cackle every single time.
“I was thinking of dinner last week with your family.” You grinned cheekily and shook your head at the thought. “When your father made a horrid joke and you mimicked him the entire ride back to my house.”
He snorted and pulled you closer to him, resting his hand loosely around your hips. “He sounded so corny. Talking about his mini figures like they aren't toys we found at Toys"R"Us.”
You hummed and let a small laugh fall from your lips, sighing when he pressed a kiss to your forehead this time. The warmth from him felt calming compared to your three hours of practice.
“When’s your game?” He asked and adjusted your bag over his shoulder, the rackets clinking together and the loose balls rolling around the inside.
“On the fifth. It’s the final match in regionals before we move onto state.” You smile confidently. Your team has worked too hard to just lose your final match, you wouldn't allow it. Still wearing your bright smile, you looked up at him, “You’ll come watch?”
Rodrick raised his brows at you and scrunched his nose, pulling the passenger side door open. “Duh. If I don’t, you have permission to slap me across the face.”
“And you know I would never do that.” You pat his cheek and turn to enter the van, putting on a sarcastic smile and gesturing toward the van floor. “Charming.”
“I cleaned!” He protested and entered the driver's side, starting the van up before resting his hand on your thigh. He gently massaged the space and began to drive, occasionally glancing at you from the corner of his eye.
You look down at his hand and the thick ring around his middle finger, blinking furiously to rid yourself of any thoughts before you arrived to his house. “Mhm, you say that every time.”
“Like you were judging the inside of my van the first time we met.” Rodrick squeezed your upper thigh, making you hold your breath before you recounted the first day you met.
“How could I ever forget?”
Flashback
“You’re drunk, Reynolds.” Alison carried you out of the house and stumbled down the stairs to stabilize your drunken figure.
“Am not!” You hiccup and giggle when she made a face at you. Taking a strand of your hair, you twirled it in front of your face, making you cross-eyed. “Okay, maybe just a little.”
“In truth or dare, you were dared to kiss the hottest guy at the party.” She sat you down and put her hands on her hips, eyebrows furrowed like you kissed the weirdest man in the room. “You kissed Heffley.”
You sigh softly and tilt your head back, giggling when you remembered his initial reaction to you kissing him. “What? He’s hot.”
“Luckily for you, he’s sober and driving you home.” Alison patted your head gently. You pouted and gave her puppy eyes, making her cover her eyes in affliction. “Don’t look at me like that! You have practice first thing in the morning and you would hate yourself if you couldn’t even get out of bed.”
“Fine.” You huff and cross your arms, wobbling again when you stood up from the stairs. You grabbed on to her arms and giggled when you poked her cheek. “Lead me to Heffley.”
Alison shook her head and lead you over to the white van, speaking to Rodrick quietly while you looked up the sky in awe of the stars and airplanes. You leaned against the van before you felt yourself being moved into the van itself.
You look at the person and gasp, cupping his face at pulling it close to your own. You looked at his features, smiling giddily at his reddened cheeks. “You’re pretty.”
His eyes widened and looked back at your friend with a flushed face. “Uhm— Am I supposed to—?”
“Yep! Good luck! She’s a clingy drunk!” Alison called out as she raced back inside the house, leaving you to be with the man you kissed merely an hour ago.
Rodrick gently removed your hands from his face and buckled you in, holding back a laugh when you pouted. He switched over to his side of the van and drove over to your place, which was written on his hand in messy ink. He kept watching you to make sure you didn’t throw up or fall asleep on him, but you kept reaching for his hand like a baby. It was like you needed to have physical touch at all time.
Eventually, he gave up trying to keep you at bay and gave you his hand, seeing you grin happily from the corner of his eyes. You played with his singular ring and looked at the intricate details, smiling to yourself.
“Where are you taking me?” You ask and hiccup, looking out the window to try and identify where you were even in you intoxicated state. “To your place?”
He gave you a surprised look, jaw dropping ever so slightly before shaking his head. “Wow, you really are drunk.”
You pout again and lean your head back on the window, looking out at the stars and dark sky. Your laughter filled the silence until Rodrick realized what you were doing.
“Hey hey! No, you’ll get hurt.” He tugged your hand and pulled you back inside the van, pulling your window up. Your pout deepens, huffing when he shakes his head at you.
After he watched you for a little longer, you looked around the interior of the van and hiccuped when he went over a curb. “Your van is nice. I like the paint on the outside.”
Rodrick hummed and squeezed your hand gently, “Thank you. I did it myself.”
“That’s amazing!” You beam and mentally praise him for his craftsmanship.
You looked back outside the window and you noticed the houses began to blur together, making you confused. You blinked a couple of times until your vision cleared up, giggling when you caught Rodrick's eyes again.
“Wait, are we going back to your place? I like talking to you. You’re a very secure person, Heffley.” You let go of his hand and fix your hair, humming to yourself.
He glanced at you before speaking, “Rodrick.”
Your head laid on the back of the seat, tilting it when he spoke. “Mm?”
“You can call me Rodrick, Reynolds.” He parked the car in front of your house and dug in his console for a water bottle. He uncapped the bottle and watched your drink the water before helping you out of the car.
“Well then you can call me…” You tap your chin and shrug, clinging onto his arm like a koala when he led you to the front porch. “I’m not sure. But you can always call me on my number!”
“Jesus.” Rodrick chuckled at your words and held you steady, meeting your glazed eyes. “We’ll talk when you’re not drunk and confusing words together.”
“Yay!” You giggle and push up on your toes to kiss his cheek before leaving him to enter your house. “See ya’ later, Rodrick!”
End of Flashblack
Rodrick helped you out of his van and sent you a teasing smile, kiss your cheek when you stepped out. “You so wanted to kiss me on the lips again when I dropped you off.”
“I did,” You link your hands with his as you made your way to the Heffleys’ front door. You look up at him and match his smile. “But not after you took me out on an actual date — “
“Then pulled me to the backseat of the van to make out afterwards.” He cut you off and pulled you into his arms, leaning down to press a quick kiss to your lips.
“Is it my fault you look handsome?” You pinch his cheek and laugh when he swatted your hand away from his face. “Besides, I know you liked it.”
He cocked an eyebrow up and crossed his arms at you, subconsciously reaching a hand up to his neck. “You gave me hickeys!”
You copied his movements and tilted your chin up, challenging his accusation. “So did you—!”
“Hi, kids!” Mrs. Heffley cut you off as the door jerked open at an alarmingly fast rate, causing the both of you to jump back in surprise.
You blinked at her before smiling brightly, “Good afternoon, Mrs. Heffley!” She pulled you in for a tight hug, loving you like you were her own child. “How are you?”
“Oh, I’m doing well, don’t worry about me. How was your practice?” She brought you inside and gestured for Rodrick to close the door behind him. He grumbled as he did shut the door. His mother took his own girlfriend away from him the second they got home.
“It was great. I did individuals against Jen, then we did doubles with the other players on the court. I need to work on some of my backhand, but otherwise I should be set for my game.” You shrugged and moved to stand by Rodrick, feeling his annoyance toward his mother growing the more she kept you from him.
“That’s wonderful.” Mrs. Heffley reached over to squeeze your shoulder. “You two wash up for dinner, okay? I’ll call you down when we’re going to eat.”
“Yes, ma’am.” You gave her an innocent grin and make quick steps up the stairs, Rodrick's hand hot against your back as he led you up to his room. “She’s so delightful, I love your mom.”
Rodrick rolled his eyes and picked you up by the last step, tossing you onto his bed before crawling above you. “More than me?”
“When did I say that, Rodrick?” You murmur when he dropped his full body weight on you. You ran your fingers through his messy hair as he buried his face into your neck.
“Mm, just a few seconds ago.” He mumbled into your neck and slowly began kissing your more sensitive spots, earning quiet gasps from you. “Think I could skip dinner and get away with just dessert?”
“Rodrick Heffley!” You tried glaring at him but were met with a kiss to your lips instead.
He parted from you and looked into your eyes, planting extra kisses to your lips until you looked dazed. “Yes, baby?”
You mouth parted a little and you shook your head, pulling his face closer yours. “Never mind.”
In a blink of a crinkling eye, small kisses became a thirty minute make out session. You fell deeper and deeper into him as your kisses became more and more passionate. His lips covered every part of your face, neck, and above your chest, your fingers carding his hair every so often when you weren't busy reciprocating his kisses to your lips.
His hands settled on the curve of your hips, fingers thumbing the hem of your tennis skirt before you both heard stomps coming from the stairway.
“Rodrick, mom’s been yelling at you for the past whatever to get down for— Oh, my god!” Greg shouted at the sight in front of him and turned away, covering his face with both hands as he felt his face redden and warm.
Instinctively, you kicked Rodrick off of you and you gasped, looking over his bed to see him holding his head. “Sorry—!” You quickly fix your hair and adjust your top, not meeting the younger Heffley's eyes. “Greg, what are you doing?”
“W—well mom wanted me to get you both down for dinner.” He stuttered and began walking down the stairs when he met his brother's deathly glare. “I’m just gonna go!”
“You distracted me.” You pouted at Rodrick as he stood and thumbed your bottom lip.
He kissed your lips before you stood from your spot on his bed and grabbed fresh clothes of yours from one of his drawers, pushing his face away from you when he rested his head on your shoulder and met your eyes in the mirror.
“Look away, Heffley.”
Rodrick raised a brow and turned around, tapping his foot on the floor impatiently. “I’ve seen you in less—“
“Rodrick.”
“Whatever, fine.” He put his hands up, making you smile when you saw him through the mirror. You threw your skirt at him when you finished changing, making him turn around as you fixed your hair from its messy state. “Don’t sweep your hair to the side.”
“Why not?” You frown and look at your neck, eyes widening at how many hickeys there were. They were darker than you’ve ever seen on yourself before. It was like a vampire got to you. “I have dinner with your entire family soon!”
“I couldn’t help it.” He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed a kiss to your cheek, meeting your glare. “Ah, you’ll be fine.”
“Rodrick!” You rest your forehead on his chest before rolling your eyes. There wasn't much you could do now, you didn't even have any makeup to help conceal it. Sighing, you reached for his hand and crossed his room to head down to dinner. “We need to go before Greg wants to be a baby and snitch.”
“He’s just jealous.” Rodrick chuckled and earned a smack to the chest from you. He smiled and leaned closer to you when you made your way down. “Think my dad will make another horrible joke?”
“Probably.” You mumble and smile at said father as you rounded the dinner table, quietly thanking Rodrick when he pulled the seat out for you. “As long as your mom’s cooking is top tier again, I’ll be too busy to notice it and your parents will be too busy to notice the darkening hickeys.”
Rodrick grinned at you and rested his hand on your thigh. It was going to be a long dinner.

Snowy Day
Natasha Romanoff x Female Reader
You help Natasha see how fun a snow day can be
Note: Very soft Nat here. We got a lot of snow where I live and have been enjoying playing in it. Y’all enjoy!
Natasha Masterlist 1, Natasha Masterlist 2, Natasha Masterlist 3, Main Masterlist
“Natasha,” you whisper as you run your hand over her arm.
Her response is just a soft mumble. She pulls the blankets further up her body and snuggles deeper into the bed.
“Natasha, wake up,” you try again.
“What’s wrong?” She asks, her voice riddled with sleepiness.
“It’s snowing.”
No response comes from the redhead. She simply rotates to look at you.
“It’s snowing,” you repeat. “And it’s the perfect day for a snow day.”
“A snow day? Just a day with snow?” Nat asks. She’s starting to wake up more now.
“No, a snow day. A day we can get outside and do all of the fun things to do in this weather,” you explain.
Her brow raises in question. You know for a fact she’s seen snow many of times, but it dawns on you that she’s maybe never had a fun day playing in it.
“Have you not ever-“
“No,” she interrupts. And then adds, “What about my life indicates I’d have a fun day in the snow?”
There’s an edge to her voice. She didn’t mean it to come out so harsh. You frown and lay back on your pillow. Nat leans up on her elbow and leans down closer to you.
“I’m sorry, baby,” she says. “You woke me up excited and I’ve brought you down.”
“No, it’s okay. I just- I didn’t think about you not having the same kind of life as me. I’m sorry.”
“We’re good, y/n.”
Natasha leans down and kisses your lips softly. You feel her love for you spread through your body. Her soft touches linger on your skin even moments after she’s stopped kissing you.
“What does this snow day entail?” She asks.
You smile so bright that she can’t help but match it.
“Really? You want to do it?”
“I do,” she agrees.
And so, you tell her about everything you want to do today. There’s probably too many on the list, but you can’t help from excitedly saying everything that comes to mind.
The two of you ease into the morning before the big day. You find the biggest, warmest outerwear you have and help Natasha bundle up too.
“First, before our hands get cold and faces freeze let’s take some photos,” you say, getting your phone out.
Natasha appeases and smiles wide for every single photo. She takes your phone and takes some solo photos of you posing in the snow.
“Now, what would you like to do next? Build a snowman?”
“Sure,” Natasha says.
You show her how to start rolling up the snow and she gets the hang of it quickly. Not to your surprise, she’s good at everything. The two of you stack the giant snowballs together and make the perfect shape of a snowman.
“What should we decorate it with?” You ask her. She shrugs. “Do you happen to keep a magical hat around?”
“Oh, I think Wanda could conjure something up,” Natasha says, being fully serious.
“Natasha, do you know about Frosty the Snowman?”
“Oh.”
Then she bursts out laughing. You join in.
“I know about Frosty!” She says. “I just forgot.”
“You’re so very cute, baby,” you tell her.
“Shucks,” she says.
You kiss her cheek and then actually get to work on decorating the snowman. No magic is involved except for the love in the air as you two work.
After that, you know it’s getting time to go inside and warm up for a bit. But first, you practically throw yourself onto the ground.
“What are you doing?” Natasha asks. She stands over you and smiles in your direction.
“Come here!” You reach up for her and pull her down to the ground.
You fall into a fit of laughter as you tangle with her and pin her to the ground. Her red hair cascades over the white snow.
“You are so beautiful,” you tell her.
“Yeah?”
“One hundred percent. I love you, Natasha.”
Natasha’s face contorts into some mixture of a smile and a frown at how sweet you’re being. You brush your fingertips over her cheeks that are dusted in pink from the cold.
“I love you too, y/n.”
“Snow angel time?” You ask.
“Show me how,” Natasha says happily.
It’s simple, but Natasha pays apt attention to you as you show her how to move her arms and legs to make it look just right.
“The trick is getting up without messing it up,” you explain.
“I can handle it,” Natasha says confidently.
You chuckle, but unsurprisingly Natasha does get up stealthily and the snow around her angel still looks untouched.
It doesn’t take much convincing to get Natasha back inside and making hot chocolate so you can warm up. You settle together on a couch next to the fireplace.
“Are you enjoying your snow day?” You ask Nat. She holds you close.
“Mhm,” Nat hums. “Thank you for today.”
“Of course. I’m really happy,” you say, meaning more than just about today.
“I’m happy too,” Nat says. She kisses the top of your head. “We should get married.”
“What?” You lift your head off her shoulder and look at her.
“Yeah. Let’s get married,” Natasha says again.
“Right now?”
“I mean, why not? It’s snowing and it’s beautiful outside. We love today. Why not?”
Natasha stands up from the couch and starts walking down the hallway to her room.
“Natasha Romanoff, I never thought you’d be so spontaneous!” You call after her.
It takes her a minute to come back into view.
“Well, I love you and I want to marry you,” Natasha shrugs. “I should probably propose formally though, huh?”
She drops to her knee in front of you and takes a ring box out of her pocket. She opens it.
“Oh, Natasha..”
“So maybe it’s not that spontaneous, but I have been waiting for the right time,” Natasha starts. “I promise to love you forever. Will you marry me? Please?”
“Yes, yes. Without a doubt, yes!” You can’t help but shout.
Natasha slips the ring on your finger and you kiss her until you can’t breathe. You’re both so happy.
“Wait, what about a ring for you? If we’re getting married, I need a ring for you,” you say.
“Maybe Tony could make one up? Just a simple band,” Natasha suggests.
“Definitely,” you agree. “Let’s go get the team, get the party planned, and get married.”
“Best snow day ever?” Natasha asks.
“Best snow day ever.”
You and Natasha will never forget the first day she played in the snow, and the day your lives were changed forever for the better.

Frankie Masterlist I Masterlist
You and Frankie have been together for four months now, and you’re incredibly happy. Your neighbor, the man you spent a year hating, revealed himself as the best man you’ve ever been in a relationship with.
You haven't said “I love you” to each other yet, you're taking it slow and you're perfectly fine with that, you know you have strong feelings for him but you don't know if he's ready to say it and the last thing you want is to ruin the best relationship you've had because of words said too soon.
So you respect his timing without forcing his hand. And still you often think you don't even really need to say it, all you really want is to keep being with him, the man who can make you laugh in a second, with whom you like to do everything from the most mundane things like grocery shopping and running errands, to talking for hours and sharing everything with him, cooking, going to parties and concerts, even bickering.
And sex.
Oh, Frankie is a fucking magician.
The most shockingly fiery and at the same time sweet lover you've ever had.
You feel you can be yourself at all times with him, he knows your flaws and frailties and accepts them. And from where you were starting out it already feels like a considerable accomplishment. You never thought that the man who used to spend time judging you, once you penetrated his armor, was actually such a tolerant and nonjudgmental person.
You haven't moved in together, but you spend almost every night together, and yet, you are still trying to navigate your relationship without making the other one run off before taking the next step.
So when Frankie tells you that his mother would love to meet you, you get a little scared but you try to put on a good face.
"You really don't mind?" he prods you.
You can never hide anything from him; Frankie has an ability to read your mind, the talent that you had never found in a man.
His eyes scan you and he has a cunning little smile as he’s standing on the other side of the table, eating the eggs you prepared for him.
“Yeah, don't worry, it's okay,” you nod, your movement a little forced, and Frankie notices it.
“You're nervous, huh? Look it's normal,” he tries to reassure you, his hand slides across the table until it meets yours.
He squeezes it gently and then intertwines his fingers with yours.
“I'm sorry, she's been nagging me for at least a month now, I've managed to keep her at bay until now but she grilled me yesterday and told me that she was expecting us for dinner on Friday.”
“Yeah...I just feel a little pressure, you know, but it's okay,” you admit.
“Babe, she will like you very much, I'm sure.”
You look into his eyes, those big eyes the color of coffee and chocolate, and the comfortable glow they give off immediately takes away part of the weight you feel on your chest.
“Are you sure?” you murmur.
“Of course!” he smiles at you, ”Well, you're a little sassy but...”
You slap his hand “Frankie! You're not helping me!” you complain.
“Come on, I'm kidding. She’s going to adore you, I have no doubt about it,” he chuckles.
“Mmmm we’ll see” you still mumble with uncertainty.
"Come here," he says softly.
You get up and walk over to him before he welcomes you on his lap and you wrap your arms around his neck. He rests his forehead on yours looking into your eyes and repeats softly, “she will adore you…not as much as I do but she sure will”
The thing is this with him, he's been circling around that word for weeks, so you're pretty sure he's going to confess sooner or later.
"What if she doesn't like me?" you ask him and bite your lip, looking at him expectantly.
“Uh, I don't want to stop fucking you, you know... so, you'll have to stay in a clandestine relationship while I'm dating a woman, personally chosen by my mom.”
You kiss him, muttering “god, you're so...”
He giggles and asks "what am I like?" tightening his grip on your waist a little tighter and pulling you closer to his chest, your tits pressed against him.
“An incredibly lovely fucking bastard.”
________________________________________
You are in the kitchen preparing dinner, which in your case means putting take-out pizza on plates, as you hear Frankie come in.
“Hey, are you here?”
He gave you his keys a few weeks ago to make it easier for you to get around.
“In the kitchen!” you shout to him.
You hear his footsteps approaching from the hallway until he comes in with a bag.
“Hey, baby.”
You walk up to him to give him a kiss, he immediately puts down the bag and hugs you tightly. “mmm I missed you. What's for dinner?”
“Pizza,” you tell him smiling through your eyelashes and stealing another kiss, his beard tickling your cupid's bow pleasantly “And I was thinking about…uhm…your cock for dessert.”
He squeezes your butt, chuckling, “So eager, huh?”
“For you? Always,” you purr, looking into his eyes, veiled with desire.
His stomach grumbles slightly making you giggle, “Do you want to eat first?”
“Uh, no,” he whispers, and as he does so he slips two fingers under the straps of your dress and pulls it off, letting it slide to the floor.
You're in your panties in front of him, no bra, he looks at you spellbound with a smirk that unknowingly puckers his lips, "do you know how beautiful you are?"
His eyes move from your face down to the crease of your neck, your cleavage, your breasts, your stomach, slowly, as if he is drinking from your body, the source that keeps him alive.
He takes his time, still hasn't touched you but you'd swear you've never felt more caressed than now, nurtured, sensed, accepted in your body's every disheveled and flawed manifestation.
You could swear you could moan from that alone.
When his hands approach your hips you want them so badly that you instinctively lean into them to meet his palms, the warmth of his skin welcoming you.
You cling to his broad shoulders, bringing his body closer to yours.
He lifts you up as if you weighed nothing and lays you on the kitchen countertop, next to the sink.
Your legs hang over the edge as he commands, “open wide, baby,” and settles in between, still fully clothed.
“Frankie, please.”
“You know what I like?” he asks with a smirk, ”the way you light up as soon as I touch you. God, it drives me crazy the way you instantly become a needy little animal, you know that?"
You feel your eyes heavy and your voice shaky as you repeat his question, “You know what I like? The way you know exactly what I need.”
He smiles, leaning down to your neck to bite the soft skin over your pulse point and soothing it right after with his warm tongue.
He lowers himself onto you, leaving a trail of kisses on your beating chest, pausing on your tits and spreading his lips over your nipples, first one and then the other, caressing them with his tongue, swirling it around. You moan with each touch, tilting your head back as he sucks them harder, his beard pinching you gently, his warm lips enveloping them.
You pull his cap off and sink a hand into his dark curls.
He knows you so well, it is as if he has memorized your every little reaction and in his mind has written himself a manual on how to make you completely lose control.
He continues to work on your nipples, grazing them with his teeth, licking them up and down with his tongue, sucking them between his lips, hard and covering them with his saliva. His tongue goes around your areola, returning to your little pebble every time you pull his hair a little harder and mewl.
He suddenly leaves your tits and returns to your neck, you groan in disappointment but his tongue immediately soothes you trailing up to your jaw and licking over your lips, inviting them to open for him and dragging you in a sloppy, feral kiss that leaves you breathless.
His hips are rocking into you, brushing over your damp underwear while you wrap your legs around his waist, pushing him against your core.
His eyes are dark with lust as he moves one of his hands over your soaked underwear, brushing your folds with his knuckles, “I’m going to make you scream my name so loudly, baby”
“That’s exactly what I want,” you prod him, biting down softly on his lower lip. “Do your magic, Morales.”
You loosen the grip of your legs, gently pushing his shoulders to invite him to lower himself, and Frankie grumbles jokingly, "bossy".
He kneels in front of you holding his hands down on your back, just above your butt and pushes you toward him, you falter for a moment balancing on the edge of the counter but his grip is strong and secure.
You run a hand through his curls, tugging slightly.
He licks a strip over your panties, taking the fabric between his teeth, without stopping to look at you.
A fucking tease.
He stills for a moment and then kisses your clit.
Then he moves his flat tongue flat down, almost to your tight hole and then back up, again and again, lingering on your clit with quick flicks of his tongue.
The fabric of your panties is wet with his saliva as a new stream of pleasure floods you, soaking them even more.
“Oh fuck, yes,” you holler.
He looks at you mischievously. “Thinking about it… we should take some measures to make sure you stay quiet, honey, you know?” he nods to the half opened window right behind you.
You glance back and then blurt out, “oh, whatever, let them hear us.”
Frankie chuckles at your impatience. “Do you really want to put on a show for the whole neighborhood?”
“There are curtains, they can't see us,” you frown
“But do they need to hear us?” he says as he pulls off your panties, sliding them down your legs.
He sniffs them for a moment- “fucking sweet, darling” - while you wonder what he's going to do, then rolls them and stands back up, sneaking his hand behind your neck and looking at you authoritatively, his lips pursed in a smirk.
He runs his thumb over your mouth, stops in the center and pushes gently, silently commanding you to open it. The moment your lips part he thrusts your panties into your mouth. “That's it, good girl” he coos.
It’s so wrong, keeping your panties in your mouth like that, your tongue numbed with the taste of it and your body tense under Frankie’s gaze. But also fucking right.
He graciously holds his power over you, always considerate of your need while he plays with your mind in a delicious nasty way.
He caresses your cheek, moving down to the column of your neck, wrapping his fingers around it, “Don't try to take them out or you won't get what you want,” he gently orders. “Can you behave for me?”
You nod.
He gives you a smirk and gets back on his knees and admires your glistening pussy for a moment. “Always so fucking wet for me,” he whispers before sinking into you again, licking and sucking on your clit and down on your folds, his nose hitting your most sensitive part.
When you’re basically dripping on your inner thighs, he slides two fingers inside you, so easily moving over the spot he knows makes you see double.
His fingers are inside you up to his knuckles when he curls them, pushing and grasping.
You are thrown into a frenzy almost immediately as he gently hits you with his fingertips again and again, sucking avidly on your clit as you’re stifling your moans by clenching your teeth on your panties.
He laps at your folds so thoroughly, then goes back on your bundle of nerves, sloppy wet noises fill the air mixing with your gasps as he scissors and pushes into you.
He hums against you, whines evenly, you watch him through your eyelashes as he palms himself from above his jeans, seeking some relief.
He doesn’t stop until he feels your legs shake and your stifled mewls trying desperately to get out of your throat.
Your orgasm crushes over you like a wave, leaving you quivering and breathless.
He gets back up and removes the panties from your mouth, kissing you with his mouth still smeared with your essence.
“You’ve been so good, baby.”
You pull him by his shirt protesting, "You haven't got anything yet, though.”
“That’s not a problem, hun, we can eat something and then you’ll eat me. Dessert, remember?”
You giggle “deal.”
You steal another kiss from him before slipping your dress back on and setting the table.
As you eat you notice the bag he left in a corner by the kitchen door.
“What is that?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, I almost forgot, it's a gift for you."
You squint your eyes “For me? You didn't have to!”
Frankie smiles “I saw it in a store and thought of you. Open it.”
You get up and go for the bag, not before giving him a kiss.
When you open the bag you find a dress.
Very simple, black, not too low-cut, with a tulip skirt.
As you're looking at it, leaning it over your body to see the length, Frankie suggests that you could wear it to his mother's.
____________________________________________
“Are you ready, honey?”
Frankie's voice is muffled by the bathroom door as you're finishing putting on your lipstick.
“Almost, you just need to help me with the zipper.”
Frankie opens the door and peeps into the bathroom.
He stops behind you, admiring you in the mirror as you stand there with your lips parted, leaning slightly over the sink, your legs slender from your heels, you wear the dress he bought you, unzipped at the back.
“Jesus, you’re a vision,” he breathes. “Maybe we should skip dinner at my mom’s.”
He approaches you and settles his big hands firmly on your hips.
“Come on, Frankie, be serious,” you giggle.
“I'm serious,” he replies in a rough, deep voice.
He leans down to leave a trail of kisses down the exposed skin on your back, his soft lips send shivers down your spine and you are almost on the verge of giving in.
You set your lipstick down on the sink countertop and turn to look at him pouting
"You can't do this to me now, you know we can't skip it.”
“Well, it might help you relax though,” he continues to flirt, his lips curved into a little smile.
You’d fall for it any other day but not now that you’re trying to figure out how to impress someone you don’t even know.
Frankie told you something about his mom, how protective she is and overall pretty conservative, you’re the exact opposite.
You don’t know why he stays so positive about the dinner, you’re pretty sure she will hate you.
One look from you is enough to let him know how nervous you are.
Frankie leaves a light kiss on your shoulders and says. "Okay, I'll behave, turn around."
He pulls up his zipper looking at you in the mirror, “Anyway, I wasn’t lying, you look really beautiful.”
You smile softly, feeling your heart fluttering.

Grand Theft Danny aka Haunted Car Au Part 20
Previous. Masterpost
While Danny had control of the car, Signal was in the driver's seat and correcting turns and braking when needed. It was a fun and terrifying learning experience. It kinda reminded him of when he and Tucker would play those games where two people would share the controls and have to work together to complete the level. Luckily for him, Signal was a LOT better at keeping them from crashing than Tucker was. Hood was just vibing, making music requests, and throwing out a few directions. They were not too far out when Hood swore and called an incoming.
The radio muted itself for the com connection, and someone was making ‘wee-woo’ noises at them. Hood scoffed and responded on his own com shouting ‘ACAB!’ Danny had gotten the idea to link the com to the radio when the guy on the com asked (rather nicely) for them to pull over. Well, unfortunately for him, Danny was not done with his driving lesson, and Signal did say to Gun It. The music choice was a song that he remembered Jason playing and singing along with with the working gals. It was on the Batmobile’s radio drive, so a bat had good taste in music.
They proceed to drive all over Gotham. Hood had an especially great time hanging out the windows when they crossed over the Narrows, Bowery, and Crime Alley. The entire time they were being chased by the blue and black vigilante, that Danny was 75% sure was not called ‘Dickwing’. It wasn't until about an hour after his first attempt at nicely asking to stop did he apparently pull out the big guns.
“Guys, please, I am going to need gas soon. If you don't stop I am going to wake up Oracle to remote the car back home.”
Signal swore and made Danny slow down to a more reasonable speed. Hood on the other hand decided to mock the guy some more.
“Oh? Going to tell on us to O? Have you finally realized that Daddy Bat isn't as effective to tattletale to?”
“Little wing-”
“Dickhead.”
“Look, what if I pay for lunch?”
Duke looked at Hood so hard that Danny could tell he was conveying that they should take up the offer. Unfortunately it looked like Hood was going to continue the argument. Luckily, Hood didn't have a choice when Danny turned on the radio and found a Batburger advertisement playing, and showed his new found ability to stop on his own. Danny decided to further his point by finding gunshot sounds and someone saying ‘How Rude’ in the most scandalized voice he ever heard.
“Wait, did you just call me rude?” Hood asked incredulous.
“Yaaaaa booooiiiiii”
“That's because you are rude Little Wing. Hey Signal, thanks for stopping.” The other guy said.
“Wasn't me, Nightwing, Danny decided to stop us.”
The newly dubbed Nightwing looked into three back, confused. “Uh, who is Danny?”
“Our new best friend Dickwing, keep up.” Hood smugly said.
Nightwing gasped “Little Wing made a friend? I must meet them!”
“Danny, would you like to say hi to Nightwing?” Duke asked, trying to stifle his laughter.
Danny knew how he would respond, he turned up the volume -
“MY NAME IS SUE, HOW DO YOU DO?!”
Nightwing went through a bunch of emotions before settling on hopeful disbelief. “Did Oracle get a helper that is remotely controlling the Batmobile?”
He blanched when the car responded with a laugh track, a ‘NOPE’, and proceeded to play the Ghostbusters theme song.

Too Perfect
Not beta read
6.3k words
You smiled as you watched the Wayne kids mess around together in the corner of the gala. They looked like they were having a lot of fun together, it was heartwarming how close they looked. The way Jason had his arm thrown around Tim has they laughed at Dick teasing Damian by holding something he wanted just out of reach. Cassandra watched from her spot in Tim’s shadow. Signing away when something came to mind. Jason and Tim would translate for the other two so she was still heard while they were distracted.
Damian ended up kicking Dick’s ankle so he could finally grab what turned out to be his phone. Jason seemed to think it was hysterical and a good method while Tim sided with Dick claiming physical violence was not the answer. Cass just seemed to be trying to make everything worse, smiling when she said something that got them arguing harder.
“Rowdy bunch no matter what I do.” Bruce suddenly appeared next to you, his tone fond as he smiled at his kids antics. “Are they bothering you?” You looked away from the kids to their father.
“Not at all. I’m happy to see them able to act like kids in high society. Most lose the chance and ability to be anything other then perfect young.” Bruce hummed, about to say something when your watch beeped. “That’s my cue to leave. I have a long day of ahead of me tomorrow.”
“It is quite late. Thank you for coming, I hope you had a good time.” He gave you his famous smiled, the one that had most girls swooning.
“I did! It was quite a lovely night. Thank you for the invite!” You returned his smile before heading out the door and too your car.
A few weeks later you found yourself at your favorite cafe. Stepping carefully, you tried to avoid the ice on your way in. The recent snow storm happening almost immediately after rain had made the roads and sidewalks horrible. The plows and salt helped but it was still a disaster.
Opening the door, the warm air enveloped you. The scent of coffee and baked goods heavy in the air, producing a comforting feeling and making you forget about the snow and ice outside for a minute. The line wasn’t long but you had left early enough it wouldn’t have mattered if it was out the door.
Your usual was punched in the second you got up to the register, the barista just chatting with you instead of asking. A testament to how often you came. Moving away after you were done paying so the person behind you could order, you hummed along to the song playing over the radio. You checked your phone for any texts about work for the day and ran through your mental checklist to make sure you were ready for the day.
Your checklist was interrupted by your name as your coffee was set on the counter. Grabbing it you took a sip and sighed. It was too early for all of this. Heading out the door, you tried to be just as careful as you were going in. Tried being the keyword. You slipped on the ice, there was no way you could stop from falling so you just braced for impact.
It never came, instead you found yourself leaning against someone. They helped you back up, hand gentle on your back as they made sure you were standing without risk of falling again.
“You ok?” Turning around to thank them, you were met with Bruce Wayne. Concern swimming in his eyes. Your coffee was in his other hand, he must of noticed your glance at it because he handed it back to you. “I figured you wouldn’t want to have to go back for another one.”
“Yes, thank you for catching both me and my coffee!” He smiled as he stepped back.
“It was no trouble!” He gave you another smile before turning around and heading into the coffee shop, you didn’t notice the steaming coffee on the ground near you as you turned and headed back to your car. Thinking about how it was odd you had seen him twice in a couple weeks.
Browsing the books in the little shop, you let out a sigh when you realized they didn’t have the book you wanted. That's what you get for slacking and waiting a month after getting the notification they had it in stock. Deciding to do the best thing and leave before you end up with a stack of books you don’t need, you headed for the door. Promising yourself you would come earlier next time.
You were interrupted from your thoughts by Bruce Wayne looking completely lost. He kept glancing down at a paper in his hand and back up at the shelf. Eyebrows furrowed as he tried to find something. He had helped you at the cafe so maybe you could repay the favor.
“What are you looking for?” He whipped around like you had just jumped out and screamed at him. You stifled a laugh but your smile still slipped through. He ran a hand through his hair, clearly a little embarrassed before squaring his shoulders and looking down at his list.
“I didn’t know you worked here… Jason asked me to pick up these books for him.” He handed you the list. You scanned through the titles, all classics. He was in the fiction on the opposite side of the store from the classics.
“I don’t, I just shop here way too much. These would be over here.” He snorted as he followed you through the store. You listened to him as he talked about his kids. Laughing at the mischief they caused and smiling at the clearly fond tone as he told you about the random little things they had done. You had alway wanted kids but every time you tried, something happened. EIther breakups or problems getting pregnant. So you found yourself living through Bruce’s stories. Imaging having your own kids who pulled similar stunts or the things they would do. Once all of the books were picked out and paid for, you prepared to split ways.
“Would you like to go to dinner sometime?” Bruce asked. You stopped and stared at him, his cheeks turning a light pink under your gaze. You reached into your bag to pull out a pen and paper, jotting down your number and handing it to him.
“I would love to!”
Dinner was at your favorite restaurant, so you knew the food was good. The conversation was a little awkward but it wasn’t long until you were easily conversing. Talking about everything from work, his kids latest adventures, to politics.
He was a perfect gentleman the entire night. Opening all the doors, pulling out your chair for you, kind to all the staff, understanding of any mistakes that had happened and still tipped them well. The butterflies in your stomach had fed on that to become stronger and make you feel more sick then nervous at times.
After dinner, you went for a walk in a park nearby. The night chill was kept away by the laughter between you too as you shared ridiculous stories. When you decided it was late and you needed to leave, Bruce walked you to your car and waited until you left to leave.
“Did you walk her to her car when you left?” Jason was the first at the door to question him. Sometimes Bruce really wondered if Jason was actually going to do his whole revenge plan with how he acts with the family now. At the end of the night he was just glad Jason was alive and around to question his every move.
“Of course I did. Who do you think I am?” Jason paused like he was searching for something to insult Bruce with as his response but Tim slid into the room and immediately started questioning him.
“Did you open the doors for her?” Bruce signed. He really should try to hide more of his dating life from them.
“I opened the doors and pulled her chair out for her. And,” He turned and looked at Damian who had just run into the room. “I asked about her day and listened.” Damian nodded like he was proud of Bruce. He just shook his head at his boys.
“But did you extend the date to go a litt-”
“We went on a walk after dinner.” Dick huffed at being interrupted but he was pleased with the answer. Bruce turned his attention to Cass so he wouldn’t miss her question.
“Yes, I did tell her she looked pretty tonight.” Cass grinned and nodded.
You smiled at your phone as you read the text from Bruce followed with a short video of Damian ranting about not being allowed to pet the tigers. You had been texting with him daily between work and whatever else you had to do ever since the date. There had been regular phone calls and now regular facetimes every night as well as your 5th date happening Saturday night.
Bruce had been nothing but a gentleman the entire relationship. Something you weren’t fully used to yet. There was nothing you would change. Communication was great, boundaries were being respected, there was no pressure, and there were no lies. It was almost too perfect.
Bruce wanted to introduce you to the kids and they all wanted to meet you. According to Bruce, despite never meeting you, they all claimed they would go with you if there was a breakup. You had just laughed it off when he told you. Figuring it was just something they were joking about as a way to tease their father.
“They’ll love you!” Bruce reassured you as you walked up to the manor door. “They were all excited to find out you were coming tonight. Dick and Jason made sure they had the night off so they could come.” You really wanted him to stop talking. He was only making this worse.
The door opened and the first thing you heard was yelling. Bruce just sighed next to you. Alfred took your coat after introducing himself, informing you it would be another half hour before dinner would be done and then leaving to go work on it.
As you followed Bruce in, the yelling got louder. You were headed towards the boys, the volume of their yelling made it obvious when you were almost there. You made it in time to see Jason holding Tim up by the collar as Damian cheered and Dick tried to get Jason to let go of Tim. Tim was interrupting Dick’s attempts to keep arguing with Jason, making his chances to get put down lower. Cass was just sitting on the couch watching everything go down, when she spotted you, she came over and offered to give you a tour of the manor. You of course accepted and left with Cass while Bruce stayed to deal with the boys.
You took the time to get to know a little about Cass, carefully paying attention when she talked slow and quietly. While you weren’t the most fluent with sign language you could normally make out what she was saying, at least a little bit. Along the way, Duke joined you, adding in jokes here and there and helping to translate for Cass when you struggled to understand what she was saying.
The tour ended in the dining room where the others waited. You felt a little better about it when Cass and Duke insisted you sit with them. It made you feel like you could do this and like it wouldn’t go too badly. After all, two of them liked you now… At least they seemed too.
Steph joined shortly after you were seated, apologizing about being late and rambling about a project she was working on. With that, Dinner was started. Along with the absolutely amazing food, you got to learn more about the kids Bruce had collected.
Dick was a police officer in Bludhaven, he had moved after a fight with Bruce that had been resolved but decided he liked it there and the freedom that came with it and stayed. He had adjusted to living on his own relatively smoothly and loved it when his siblings dropped by. He was offered a promotion recently but he wasn’t sure if he wanted it. He was also very glad Bruce was in a serious relationship because maybe he would back off on his parenting.
Jason loved books, especially the classics. He was the most obviously dramatic of them all and loved to play things up. He had gotten kidnapped and went no contact with Bruce when he came back. He had made up with Bruce recently but it was still a little rocky sometimes. His apartment gets regularly broken into by his siblings and he claimed to hate it but the look in his eyes told you he really didn’t mind it and truly liked that they felt safe coming to him.
Tim was the CEO of W.E, something he took great pride in. He also likes mysteries so he looks into police cases and tried to solve them before the police. He likes working with computers and figuring out bugs in programs, something he likes to do with Barbara. He really likes coffee, drinks more then he should but won’t stop. He doesn’t have a spleen anymore and somehow he managed to keep that a secret from the family until recently. And while he violently denied it, go as far to punch Dick when he suggested it, Tim was extremely protective of his family.
Damian loves animals, going as far to become vegetarian after saving a cow from a slaughter house. He collects pets and despite the large amount he had, he still took perfect care of them. His favorite subject in school is history but his favorite class is art. He likes painting and according to everyone he’s absolutely amazing at it. He lived with his mom until he was 10 when she sent him to live with his dad. He knew Jason first because Jason had joined his family after he had been kidnapped. While Damian claimed he disliked his brothers, it was very obvious he truly cared about them and loved them deeply.
Duke had recently moved into the manor and was still getting used to having enough money to spend on things other than necessities. He had started helping Tim figure out what charities to donate to the most and regularly worked with Jason on helping kids on the streets. He was part of the We Are Robin movement, something he spoke about with great pride as well as pain. He liked collecting cards for a game and was very excited when you asked to see his collection. He had also been arrested, something you couldn’t picture about the sweet boy next to you.
Steph was also vegetarian and she loves bubble tea and other fruity drinks. She regularly works with Human Rights Activists and wants to help as many people as possible. She loves going out for girls days and forcing her brothers into facemasks and other similar things. She’s big on quality time, one of the ones who drops by Dick’s and Jason’s apartments the most. She likes podcasts, apparently its all she listens to and she gives good recommendations. She also loves watching darmas for the sole purpose of laughing at the stupid plot points.
Cass loves ballet, she finds it fun and relaxing. Due to a bad childhood she struggles with talking and understanding words but she’s been working on it. She really likes sign language and was very happy when the rest of the family touched up their skills or learned it to make communicating easier for her. She’s also big on quality time, the other one who drops in the most. She just likes to sit quietly with other people while doing their each doing their own thing. She really likes chocolate ice cream and knows the best brands. She likes to randomly scare her siblings, she thinks its funny when they jump and scream.
The entire dinner, as you talked and listened to the kids, Bruce just grinned from his spot. Happy to have his kids and girlfriend all together and wishing the peace would last forever. After dinner, you moved to the living room where the talking continued until late in the night.
After the dinner, you spent more time at the manor and with the kids. Cass invited you to her ballet recitals and sometimes asked for a ride when Bruce and Jason were busy. Steph invited you to go out with her, drinks and window shopping became a biweekly thing. Damian would invite you to help with his animals, he would tell you things he knew about them as you worked. He would also requests rides from school when needed. Duke would tell you about the new cards he had gotten and their stats and would invite you to go hunting for rare ones with him. Jason started a book club with you, you would meet once a week to discuss what you had read and whatever else was on his mind. Tim would get your opinion on cases he was trying to solve, you would get coffee and try to solve the case. Dickwould invite you to join him for gossip, you would trade gossip about the cities and whatever else you knew.
Overall, you got along well with the kids. Something you were happy about and something that made Bruce fall in love with you more and more the more he saw you interact with them or when they would talk about everything they had done with you. His kids were his life, and to have you come in and love and care for them like they were your own meant more then he could ever hope to put into words.
Your relationship with Bruce was perfect. He was a gentleman who always treated you right an made sure you were well taken care of, His kids liked you and you absolutely adored them. He was the best partner you had ever had and your relationship was healthier then you had even thought possible. It was absolutely perfect.
Too perfect. Something wasn’t lining up. The injuries, the slow texts at night when you knew he had nothing planned and the kids were busy, the secret basement. Something was going on. Sp you did the only thing you could think of. You documented everything.
Every mystery scratch, bruise, broken bone, it was all written down. After a week you noticed a pattern. Everytime Batman got into a bad fight and was injured, Bruce had the same injury the very next day. Bruce Wayne couldn’t be Batman, it had to be a coincidence so you kept documenting. Hoping to get a different answer.
2 weeks in, your questions started multiplying. Steph had broken her leg right about the time spoiler was thrown off a roof by the villain of the week and had to be carried away by Red Hood. That couldn’t be right.
Week 3 had Damain getting mugged and stabbed the same night Robin was stabbed by a henchman after being overwhelmed.
Week 4 Jason was shot when helping a kid in an alley the same night Red Hood was shot busting a human trafficking ring.
Week 5 Cass broke her arm falling down the stairs the day after Black Bat broke hers in combat.
Week 6 Tim ran into a wall and got a concussion the day after Red Robin was thrown into a wall and was carried away by Nightwing yelling about a concussion.
Week 7 Dick was shot off duty by someone wanting revenge the same night Nightwing was shot busting a robbery.
By week 8 you couldn’t deny it. Something is going on and you wanted an explanation. So you set a time to meet with Bruce at the manor using the dreaded “We need to talk.” You met at the manor when all the kids were out and busy so it was just the two of you. Bruce was clearly nervous and unsure of what exactly you wanted to talk about.
You just handed him all your notes and waited. You watched as he read and all the nervousness practically melted off him and was replaced by an unreadable calm. A sinking feeling filled your stomach as you hoped he would tell you the truth and not lie like everyone else who had switched up like that. Bruce read silently, reading every line carefully before moving onto the next one.
Hes coming up with excuses.
Your mind supplied. You tried to push the thought away. Bruce hadn’t lied about anything so far in your relationship. He had just hidden something and he hid it because it was dangerous. Yeah, it was too dangerous to just tell people right away but you had been dating for 6 months so he could trust you with it now. He was going to tell you soon or he just didn’t know how to bring it u-
“I’m not sure why you think I could be Batman? Me?” Oh.
“Bruce, it’s too many coinc-”
“Y/n, I’m not batman and the kids are vigilantes either. Yes it’s definitely weird it lines up so well but it doesn’t mean anything.” He was lying, you could see the spark of panic in his eyes as he tried to convince you that it wasn’t real. It told you everything you needed to know. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you spoke.
“You’re right. It is a bit weird, but I believe you. I’m glad I could get some confirmation.” Bruce smiled at you, taking your hand and kissing the back of it. “I have a meeting I need to get to, I’ll see you later.” You kissed him goodbye and went straight home, blocking his number from the comfort of your bed. You weren’t going to date another liar.
The next morning, you accepted the out of country transfer your job had offered you. You packed up and left within a week. You had gotten a few texts from the kids asking how you were and you made sure to respond to them. They seemed to understand you needed space and didn’t text you much after that first week. You were thankful they understood and appreciated that they never mentioned their father to you.
Your first week in your new home you had gotten sick. Nothing seemed to help so you went into the doctor. Turns out you and Bruce hadn’t been as careful as you thought you had been. The positive pregnancy test, a testament to how nothing seemed to go as planned the past month.
Thankfully your job and doctor helped you find resources to help you get along as a soon to be single mother in a foreign country. With all the help you had been provided, it would hopefully go as smooth as possible given the circumstances.
Eleven months later, you found yourself back in Gotham. Nothing seemed to change while you were gone, the city was the same dreary city with extremely high crime rates but you had missed it. As horrible as it was, Gotham was home.
A friend had helped you move your things into your new apartment, the nursery had taken priority so Penelope would hopefully be able to sleep through most of the rest of the moving. Wishful thinking, Penny had been nothing but a handful. Her favorite activity seemed to be wailing as loud as her little lungs would allow her whenever you were trying to get any sort of semblance of rest. Sometimes, you wondered if you hadn’t connected the dots, if Bruce being around would help with the stress. If it would have made your pregnancy smoother and now if you would be able to sleep a little more.
Penelope had just settled down for a nap when there was a knock on your door. You sighed as your plans for a nap were ruined by whoever was knocking, half tempted to just ignore them. Another knock, this time louder. They would wake Penny if you didn’t answer the door so you went to see who needed you so desperately. A redhead girl in a wheelchair smiled at you as you opened the door. Barbara your mind supplied.
“Sorry to drop by so suddenly but I wanted to talk to you about Bruce and Penelope.” You sighed again, you knew this would come and that you would have to talk about it. You stepped aside and let Barbara in, closing the door behind her.
“Penny just went down for a nap so we need to be quiet. Can I get you something to drink?” Barbara got settled at the table, looking around quietly while you got her drink. She took a sip of it while you sat down across from her, setting the glass on the table and turning her attention to you.
“Are you going to tell Bruce about Penelope?” Straight to the point.
“Eventually.”
“Would you consider dating Bruce again if he apologized and told you the truth first this time?”
“It depends on what the truth is and how good his apology is.” She nodded, thinking for a second.
“Bruce doesn’t know you’re back yet. I’ve managed to keep it from him and Tim. Just like I did with all your google searches about their injuries. I was hoping he’d tell you the truth then but he’s so stubborn. I’m going to tell them tomorrow that you're back, I just wanted to get your thoughts about it before I did so I could hopefully curb anything that was unwanted.” From there you talked about random things, getting to know her and catching up on everything that had happened in Gotham while you were gone. The conversation was interrupted by Penny’s crying. Barbara left, claiming Bruce should be the first to meet Penny.
“I won’t mention Penny. I’ll leave that for you to do when you're ready.” She offered you a smile before wheeling herself out of your apartment. As you fed Penny, you thought about your conversation with Barbara. Bruce was unblocked later that night.
Your phone lit up with Bruce’s name the next night. He asked to meet and talk in a park that was always empty. He promised he would tell you the truth and apologized for lying before. You agreed.
You caught up with him for a little bit before Bruce mentioned your conversation before you left. He admitted you were right and he had just panicked. He apologized for lying again and told you that he should have never brushed you off like he had, even if it had been fake.
He told you about how it all started, how he got Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, and Damian. How he had found Steph and Duke. About what happened with Barbara. He told you about his missions, the justice league, his paranoia, and trust issues. You listened to him silently for hours.
Hours later, once he had gone over everything. You agreed to try again.
After your second first date with Bruce, the kids started reaching out to you again. You had forgotten how much you enjoyed their presence in your life. You didn’t spend as much time with them as you had used to due to needing to take care of Penny and the price of sitters being too expensive.
You had decided to tell Bruce about Penny on your fourth date. You would tell him at dinner and invite him over to meet her. Unfortunately your sitter canceled last minute right before your third date. You considered canceling but you needed to tell Bruce and there was a high chance you would chicken out later on.
So you wrestled Penny into a cute outfit and into the dreaded car seat, the one she screamed at like it was going to eat her when you put her in. She thankfully fell asleep in the car, making it easier for you to go in faster. You were already late as it was.
Bruce saw you walk in and was about to stand up to greet you when he saw the carseat and froze. You took a deep breath and went over to the table, gently setting her down while you took your own seat. Bruce looked over to you, questions clearly written all over his face.
“She’s yours. I found out a week after I moved. She’ll be 4 months old in a week. You can hold her when she wakes up if you want.” “What’s her name?”
“Penelope Avery Wayne.” He sucked in a breath, trying to hold his tears back. Penny slept through the whole meal, giving you time to talk. Bruce asked all about her and how your pregnancy went.
He followed you back to your apartment and just watched Penny sleep as you talked on the couch. When she woke up and started wailing when she realized she was still in the horrid carseat, you gently pulled her out and handed her to Bruce.
She quieted down when given her freedom from the seat, her big blue eyes meeting Bruce’s own. She smiled up at him as she shoved her fist in her mouth, inspecting him from her spot in his arms. Bruce cooed over her as he wiped the tears from his eyes as he held his little girl for the first time.
The second his other kids found out about Penny, there was a group outside your door begging to see her and offer their babysitting services. Every single one of them adored her and wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. Penny soaked up the attention like a little sponge.
Cass and Duke were her favorites but she still loved all the others. Bruce was over whenever he could be to help, taking a very active roll in Penny’s care. You barely lifted a finger, only having to feed her when Bruce was around.
You eventually agreed to move into the manor with Bruce. All the kids were ecstatic. It would make seeing you and Penny easier for them. Bruce and Tim convinced you to quit your job, Tim promised you work at W.E if you were set on working and all the others offered to bring you along when they went to help out at their favorite charities and organizations.
Bruce made sure he was open and honest about everything, including his Batman adventures. The kids all came to you when he pissed them off or made a call that they didn’t like or they thought was unfair. Things were looking up and you hoped they stayed that way.
They stayed up, in fact they went higher than you thought it could. They went higher and higher and Tim was the one who started it.
“Hey mom, do you know where my black dress shoes are? I have a meeting I need them for.” You just stared at him, trying not to cry. Tim looked up, trying to figure out why you weren’t answering him and then why you looked like you were about to cry. You knew the second he figured it out, his face going bright red.
“I’m sorry! It just slipped! I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable ot anything! I’l-” You cut him off.
“It’s ok Tim! You didn’t make me uncomfortable. I was just surprised. You’re more than welcome to call me mom if that’s what you want. You’re shoes are in the coat closet to the left.” He nodded and went to grab them.
“Thanks mom!” He called out as he stepped out the door to head to work. You couldn’t hold the tears back once the door was shut and again when you told Bruce that night. He just smiled as he held you while you cried, happy to know his family was doing well together.
Dick did it next. He had come over to celebrate finishing a tough case as Nightwing. He brushed past Bruce and came straight to you. Wrapping you into a hug, you hugged him back and waited until he pulled away to let go. Bruce let out a teasing scoff, clearly not upset but pretending to be. Dick pulled away to look at Bruce.
“I came for Alfred’s food and to get praise for my good job from Mom.” He stuck his tongue out at Bruce before coming back in for another hug. You held him tight, tears welling up in your eyes again. “Why do you look like you’re about to cry?” He inspected you closely before breaking out in a grin. “Is is because I called you mom? Aww!” He hugged you again. “You shouldn’t be crying because I called you mom, you should be crying because it means you can never leave us. You’re stuck here with us forever.”
“That’s a good thing. I love all of you so much I could never leave you guys.” Dick hugged you tighter. You didn’t mention his teary eyes when he pulled away.
Cass started calling you mom shortly after. She used it when she signed for you. It took everything not to cry at her performance when she used it for the first time. Once she started, she refused to call you anything else. You were mom and everyone knew exactly who she was referring to when she did it with the others.
Duke jokingly started calling you “Mom 2”. He had apologized later on if it offended you. He still had his mom and while she wasn’t all there anymore she was still his mom and that title belonged to her. You had held him as you both cried, reassuring him that it didn’t bother you and you had no problems with it or with him just calling you by your name. Promising him that you would never be offended over something like this and he shouldn’t feel pressured to call you anything other than your name if he didn’t want to.
Damian was next, you knew his mom was still alive and that he cared for her greatly even though their relationship was a bit rough. So you expected him to just call you by your name, it never bothered you and was something you just never thought about. It was up to him to decide what he was comfortable calling you.
“Ummi, can we take Penny to the Zoo next week? I want to show her the baby lion the was just born.” Damian had run into the kitchen to ask, interrupting your breakfast with Bruce but you couldn’t find it in you to care.
“Of course, we can go after you get out of school on tuesday.” Damian cheered and went to tell Penny the news. The 8 month old having no clue what was going on but feeding off of Damian’s excitement.
“Y/n,” you turned to look at Bruce. “Ummi means mother in arabic.” You stared at him like he grew another head. “Damian just called you mother.” Bruce pulled you into a hug as you realized another one of his kids viewed you as safe enough to be their mother. Bruce gently rocked you in the kitchen as you tried not to cry again.
Jason’s happened next, you would have been more excited if you hadn’t been so terrified. You had gotten nervous with all of them out on patrols so Bruce had given you a com so you could listen and know that they were ok. Unfortunately it also let you hear everything going wrong.
You nudged past Bruce to get to Jason. He was laying on a bed, freshly patched up after a really bad mission. He had been stabbed 3 times and shot 6 more times. He was out cold but Alfred assured you he would be ok if he took the time needed to heal. You didn’t leave his bedside for 3 days while he slept. Worried that the second you stepped away something bad would happen to him.
“Mom?” You jerked out of your thoughts and looked to Jason. He was barely awake and looked scared. He looked every bit of the little boy he had lost in the explosion and it broke your heart and made you glad Bruce had stepped out to put Penny to bed so he didn’t have to see it.
“I’m here. What’s wrong? Does it hurt?” He whispered a yes so you called Alfred to up the pain meds, staying with him until he was fully lucid and kicked you out to get some rest.
Jason stayed in the manor for a few weeks and let you, Bruce, and Alfred nurse him to help. Alfred pulled you aside and asked that in the future if any of them get hurt badly again, that you weaponize the look of horror and sadness you had when Jason tried to leave early that made him stay longer. You agreed to try, especially if it would make the chances of them healing better higher.
Bruce proposed shortly after, of course you said yes and the wedding planning began. A year later you were officially married. In that one day, you got a Husband and 7 kids, making for a total of 8 children. Well 9 if you counted the baby from the test you had taken the night before the wedding.
“Say Y/n’s Pregnant!” The photographer yelled as she started snapping pictures, perfectly capturing the moment your family processed what she had said.
Things were good. You were happy with your family and you knew that even through the hard parts, you would be ok.

love all your headcanons, thanks for doing them!💙
could we get some for draken emma and mikey?
Thanks! Like with the three of them hanging out? They're actually quite a fun trio because someone is always 3rd wheeling with their dynamics. We have Mikey and Emma are siblings, Mikey and Draken are best friends and Emma and Draken are crushes/ lovers.
Mikey loves knowing both of their secrets, when they're all together he'll hint at their crushes sometimes and watch them blush over it.
They hang out as a trio fairly often, they work well together as a group
Emma is impressed by how easily Draken handles any of Mikey's problems (she does wonder if he just carries flags around all the time though)
One time Mikey and Draken ended up fighting some guys during one of their hangout sessions, they were both concerned about Emma but she managed to punch the only guy who dared to go after her.
Emma insists on helping with their wounds after any fights (both Mikey and Draken resist this but both secretly like it).
Draken ends up treating the siblings often
Mikey has gotten in between a few romantic moments between Emma and Draken before. They'll be having a private moment and Mikey will pop up like "Kenchin I need taiyaki"
Normally Mikey picks where they go and what they do (though sometimes he'll let the other two choose too)
Draken has a had to break up a few sibling arguments before (typically it's because Mikey has done something which has annoyed Emma).
If Emma ever says she's cold, she get's both Mikey and Draken's coats passed to her.
Emma doesn't get a lot of the things Mikey and Draken are into "why are you two talking about beating that group of guys up!?" They also don't get a lot of her interests.
One time when they went out to eat together, Mikey got crumbs all over his face so Emma wiped them off with a napkin for him. Draken didn't stop laughing or teasing him for hours after that.
And finally, in the good timeline after Emma and Draken have their baby, Mikey says happily "guess we can hangout as a group of four now!"

norstappen + wings or animal parts (catboys👀)
catboys brand new thing for me let's go (from this prompt list)
The first thing Lando registers is fingers gently raking through his curls and then trailing, even more carefully, over his ears. Thumb and forefinger tracing smooth up to the very point of one ear, and then down through his hair and across his head to tenderly stroke the other.
It's heavenly—so good that Lando squeezes his eyes shut a little tighter, nestles closer to the hand as he feels a purr building heavy in his chest. He thinks he could fall back to sleep for hours like this, with gentle pets and the rich, comforting smell of Max deep in his nose, around and all over him.
Only. Only Lando's senses begin to really kick in then. He feels the steady rise and fall of a chest beneath him. It echoes with a thunderous purr and is covered in a spectacularly soft t-shirt that absolutely smells like Max Verstappen.
Probably because Max Verstappen is wearing it.
Lando's eyes burst open as he springs up and back onto his knees.
"Good morning," Max says. His features are still a little bogged down with sleep, but he's smiling easily. Evidently he feels more calm and collected than Lando does right about now. (But when doesn't he?)
In fact, the calmest, most collected thing Lando can manage is a weak, "Uh."
Max's ears twist forward a little in amusement. Given the circumstances, it helps Lando not to take it personally when he says, "I think most people would say something like, 'good morning to you too.'"
Lando laughs weakly. "Good morning to you too."
He looks around the room and tries to find his bearings, mostly because the alternative would be looking at Max. It's not that he doesn't remember coming here—they'd had quite a bit to drink at Jimmy'z before stumbling into a car, and then stumbling into Max's apartment-- bedroom-- bed. They'd had a lot of fun. Funny how the things they'd only ever gotten up to in cramped toilets and aboard Air Max were suddenly so much less strenuous when they were able to spread out and take their time.
And then when it was over, Lando had sworn up and down that he ought to head home. Except he was worn out, obviously, and Max was warm and comfortable and stroking absent-mindedly at his tail in this way that Lando always likes (with people he likes) and so he'd made a fatal mistake:
Just gonna rest my eyes a few minutes.
Now the sun is stretching out across the bed and Max is looking at Lando like he's a bit of an idiot, which he does a lot. But he's also looking quite fond about it, which he does a lot, too.
It's all very confusing.
"I just feel bad," Lando explains lamely. "Meant to get out of your way."
"Didn't I tell you you could stay?"
Well, yeah, but that was just like. a nice gesture, Lando knows those when he hears them. Some tender part of him on the inside wilts at the very thought, and then he winces as he feels his ears wilt a little, too. His tail flickers weakly behind him, but maybe Max can't see that. Maybe he can keep from being too obscenely obvious. "I mean, yeah."
"Well I wouldn't have said that if you'd be in my way." Max stretches his limbs out with a soft groan, making his shirt ride up just enough to expose his belly. Lando barely looks – honest – but when he meets Max's gaze again, he's confronted with a deeper sort of amusement in his eyes. "I kept trying to tell you my meeting isn't 'til this afternoon anyway. I've got loads of time."
"Okay."
"And even if I had to leave early, you could stick around, okay?" Lando suddenly registers a gentle thump of Max's tail against the mattress as his expression grows playful. "If it makes you smell more like me, I'd never complain."
Lando wrinkles his nose. "Maybe I'd just roll around on all your furniture and make it smell like me."
As though to make his point, Lando flops backward and burrows into the covers at Max's feet. At first blush, at least, it's not working; he can practically feel Max's scent nestling into him deeper and deeper.
But Max giggles and springs up after Lando, slotting comfortably on top of him. "Why not both?"
"Yeah," Lando breathes, already a little thoughtless as Max ducks down to kiss him because Max is promptly petting him again, which is unfair play. There's not even any sort of expectation or immediate wanting in it—it's just soft, and a little tender, and when Max pulls away Lando misses it at once.
"Now would you stop being weird?" Max asks. "I'll make us some breakfast and then maybe I can blow you again."
Lando nearly chokes on his tongue. "Yeah, alright."

Gladly 😂🫶
Loll I'm loving how you're writing his internal monologue -- matches his quirky personality well. 😂
One thing I missed when writing Beau (although he can be a lil goofball 💚). But Dean, Russell, and SB are just bound to have more hilarious inner monologues 🤣 (Russ did remind me a lot of PH Dean because of the blatant sneakiness. He's a little shit too lol)
Again, lmao great personality color, and so freakin' relatable!
His paranoia and suspicion was so fun to write throughout lol
LOLL. That's so very Colter. 😂
He was definitely not happy with Russell in this part 😅 LMAO. Classified, indeed. 😏 Can I hope for one of your legendary flashbacks in the future??
Welp, I might have caught the flashback bug. I went with a whole prequel this time 😂 (And of course, the kitchen island story comes back up in detail 😏) Most of the references to their past are actually stories in the prequel series. Was fun (and a bit insane) to wove 'em all in 🤪
Russ just HAD to bring up Reenie multiple times, didn't he? It's feeling very much The Misadventures of Russ and Colter, and I'm so here for it. 🤣
Bahaha totally! They're a bit of chaotic team 😂 I loved writing all the teasing about Reenie. Of course Russell wouldn't let that go (also a great deflection from his own problems lol)
(Also, not the "midlife crisis beard" 🤣)
lmao it comes back too 🤣🤣
But OMG they were married?!!! And why would she send the papers just to get his attention? Good Lord, so many questions…
Hahaha I loved dropping that casual reveal in there 😆 He was already so vague about how long they were actually together, this didn't feel like a big stretch lol
Ahh, makes sense. It tracks that Russ would be hard to pry open, even to someone he loves and has been in such close quarters with him for such a long time. (LOL Denver Airport. 👌🏽)
Yes, although reader knows pretty much everything about his backstory and his family. It was more that he was pretending it didn't bother or affect him, even though she could clearly see that it did until the dorment volcano became active again... 👀
It's so sweet to think Russ had a surrogate dad that actually treated him like a normal kid, teaching him how to throw a football, etc.
Yup, my heart couldn't take him being entirely alone for every holiday and birthday for over twenty years 😭 Totally makes sense too that he would "imprint" on reader's family and view them as his 🥹
Oh my GODD. They have a son together too?? What the hell happened between them? She left and took their son with her?
Well, we get into all of that in the next few parts... 😅
My heart is truly breaking for him, and now I need to know what the hell he did to make her actually leave him, even though they have two kids. 😭😭
Honestly, writing this scene wrecked me. He didn't even know if he had a daughter or second son like... 🤯😭 But I tried to show throughout that their life wasn't "normal." It was her way of trying to help him, so it was less about what he did than what he didn't do 😉
True to typical Wayne, this is an intricate cobweb of a story, Russell AND the reader are infinitely complex, and I'm very interested to see where you take this from here. 💜
Hahaha love that I'm getting that label now! Just wait till you read the Wayn'e Version meet-cute 😂😂🫶
Thank you so much, Alex! You always make me laugh so hard! I truly appreciate this (and you) 🤍🤍🤍

Part 2: This Is a Russell Mission
If Russell hated one thing in this world, it was playing The Waiting Game. The thought of being helplessly stuck inside a car with his hands metaphorically tied behind his back nearly wrecked his sanity. Well, whatever was left of it, anyways.
Colter had a point. Russell knew he could be a little paranoid sometimes, but considering everything he’d seen and done in his life, who could honestly blame him? It was only natural to feel a certain level of paranoia in his particular line of work. It kept him on his toes and, therefore, alive.
But maybe it had nothing to do with the job as he had always told himself. It might have been just a family trait he had inherited. And, well, he hated that fact even more than The Waiting Game.
As he impatiently watched a set of doors once more, he pondered if he was still seeing things clearly or if his kooky mind was playing tricks on him. Adjusting to civilian life wasn’t always easy.
What normal people would see as a perfectly nice, faithful woman picking up mail from the post office, Russell saw as a dead-drop pick-up.
There was a construction crew about three hundred yards to his right that seemed to be on constant break by their lack of work ethic. They also took turns to watch the supermarket closely. Ever wondered why there was so much street construction seemingly everywhere and yet America’s roads were still full of potholes? Russell didn’t.
And then, there was the cashier who handed you a flyer of some sort, which you accepted with a polite smile and stuffed in your purse. Live drop, Russell noted as he watched you walk out of the store hand in hand with your supposed husband.
It was all so abundantly clear to him, he almost couldn’t believe no one else could see it. It certainly worried him that Colter couldn’t.
What if…
What if he was in fact seeing things? Things that weren’t actually there. Ghosts of his past. No drops, live or dead. No secret surveillance in disguises. No fake husband – just a very real one.
Was that even legal? He figured it was under your new identity.
Russell shook the uncomfortable thought out of his mind and concentrated back on you. You stopped short by a row of shopping carts, exchanged a few words with your “husband”, and headed back inside. His little brother, of course, was hot on your tail, following you back in too.
That was when several alarm bells went off in Russell’s body. His head felt like the Liberty Bell on the Fourth of July. Experience told him: If it smelled like an ambush, it usually was.
Jumping into gear, Russell’s gaze snapped to your husband, who not only unloaded the groceries into the trunk of the car but also loaded a pistol and hid it underneath his sweater vest before heading toward the supermarket again.
Russell sprung into action rather quickly then, snatching his own semi-automatic from the glove compartment. Soon enough, he heard two familiar voices flowing out from a back alley behind the main building. There was no doubt in his mind that it was you and Colter.
As he rounded the corner, he had to stifle a laugh once he saw his little brother down on the ground, straddled by your legs. Russell had found himself in similar positions with you, but they had been mostly out of pleasure.
“If it helps, my name is Colter. Colter Sh–”
“Shaw.”
Russell watched as your hold on his brother swayed and shock claimed your expression.
“Hiya, sweetheart,” he greeted your eyes with a cheeky smile as warmth spread through his heart.
Fuck, he had missed you.
“Russell?!”
Your jaw had fully dislodged itself as you slowly got back onto your feet and let go of your prisoner. But the shock of seeing your ex here of all places didn’t last long till it made way for your anger.
“Are you fucking insane?” You stormed towards him, shoving his chest. Whoa, broad! Shit, what had he done? Spent more time at the gym? “No, wait, don’t say anything. I already know the answer to that one!”
“I’ll second that,” Colter chimed in with a groan and dusted off his jeans. He stretched his sore muscles briefly before glaring at his older brother, who only offered him an apologetic smile and a half-assed shrug of one shoulder.
“Did you tell him to follow me?” you asked and pointed an accusatory finger at his younger brother while still glaring daggers at Russell. The similarity between them suddenly struck you, and you cursed yourself for not putting the puzzle pieces together sooner. “What was the plan here, huh?”
“Oh, trust me, he had no plan,” Colter muttered sourly, still recovering from your attack.
Russell clicked his tongue and sighed, scratching the back of his neck. “Look, he’s right. There wasn’t a plan. I just-… I had to see you. But once I did, well… here we are.”
Full disclosure: There might have been a little bit of a plan. Just tiny, really. Not worth mentioning at all.
You scoffed and shook your head. “You, of all people, should know better. You could’ve blown our cover. Months of work down the drain…”
“I think your cover’s still good,” Russell assured you with that same old lazy grin of his that was scarily charming and glanced at your partner. “Might wanna call off the cavalry, though.”
You shared a look with Tom, your partner during this mission.
“I’ll signal them. Clean up here,” he said, unamused, and disappeared back to the parking lot.
“Road crew in front of the store?” was all Russell asked. You confirmed it with a simple nod. Internally, he celebrated his little win. His instincts were still intact.
You exhaled a deep breath and threw your hands up. You had been so incredibly relaxed before that menace of a man waltzed back into your life – with a goddamn wrecking ball, no less. Now, the tension was crawling back into your shoulders.
“Russ, what the hell?”
Your question wasn’t filled with anger, however. You were just exhausted by today’s surprising turn of events. The life of a spy…
And probably the life with Russell, too.
“I know. I know, okay?” Russell held up two placating hands. Large hands. Warm. “Can we just talk? Somewhere… I don’t know.”
With some reservations, you still nodded. “There’s a church picnic at First Presbyterian tomorrow. It starts at one. We can talk there.”
There had never been a day in your relationship where you had denied that man a thing – till that last day at least.
“Church picnic?” Russell cocked a brow but was only met with your glare.
“Don’t mock. Be there,” you told him firmly and walked back inside the building. You still had to buy that damn milk. Covers were complicated to maintain – much like relationships.
Once you were out of sight, Russell let out a long sigh of relief, followed by a laugh of happiness. Step One was done. Only when the high of his meeting with you subsided, did he notice his brother’s exasperation.
Colter threw his hands in the air and stared at his sibling with incredulous eyes. “What the hell, Russell? What was that, man?”
“Right, yeah.” Russell bobbed his head calmly, smacking his lips. He knew he owed Colter an explanation at this stage of the mission.
“So, I’m guessing she’s not an old Army buddy of yours,” the younger Shaw started.
“No, not quite. She’s in the CIA,” Russell explained at last. He couldn’t help the grin. He was sure Colter would laugh about it eventually, too. Well, here was to hoping he would. “We worked together when we were both stationed in Baghdad. You know how it goes. We met, and a couple of hours later, we were doing it on the kitchen island of some safe house.”
Well, alright, that was braggy. There was a lot more going on than that. Best night of his life, really. But Russell considered it classified.
“Romantic,” Colter scoffed with sarcasm lacing his voice. Honestly, a part of him was happy for Russell. Another part, though, was incredibly furious for obvious reasons. “But I’m sorry – you had me stalk a CIA operative? During, what I assume is, some elaborate undercover mission?”
“It’s actually not that elaborate,” Russell quipped with amusement. “You shoulda seen half the things I’ve seen her do, so…”
“Oh, hilarious!” Colter shook his head at his childish brother. “Are you nuts?!”
“I think we’ve already established that,” Russell chuckled.
“You know, if Reenie finds out about this, she’s gonna kill me,” Colter said, and Russell swore his brother seemed close to breaking into a sweat. “Oh, you think this is still funny, huh? Guess who she’s gonna kill right after? You.”
Russell rolled his eyes at the unnecessary theatrics. “She’s not gonna find out unless you tell her, brother.”
With pursed lips, Colter nodded in defeat. “Can’t say I like you a lot right now, Russell.”
His older brother only snorted a laugh in response. “Oh, c’mon!”
“You probably would find it less funny if you had been beaten up by a 5’4” woman,” Colter continued and pressed a hand to his ribcage, wincing. “Yeah, pretty sure she cracked a rib or two…”
“Don’t be a baby. Soldier up! You’re fine.” Russell patted his back roughly and inspected the swelling nose for good measure, causing Colter to groan in pain once more. “And by the way, pretty sure she’s only 5’3”.”
“What?! No! She’s at least… 5’4”, okay? Probably even 5’5”,” Colter argued, following Russell back to the truck.
Russell’s lips rose to a teasing smirk. “Yeah, you keep telling yourself whatever gets you to sleep at night, little brother.”
“I will, thank you,” Colter deadpanned and unlocked the car. “So, you’re gonna go to this church picnic thing tomorrow?”
“Oh, no, not just me. We are going to this church picnic thing tomorrow,” Russell said with a cheeky grin and slid into the passenger seat.
“Well, you know, technically, I’ve already… found her. This is usually where my job ends,” Colter said with a tight smile and popped the key into the ignition.
“Yeah, well, not this time,” Russell replied, chuckling. “This ain’t a Colter mission. This is a Russell mission.”
“Oh, I got that, yeah. Thank you,” Colter said with a laugh that made his bruised ribs ache. “You know, you could’ve at least told me she was in the CIA.”
“Yeah, probably. But this was more fun,” Russell grinned.
“Did you know this whole time this was a clandestine operation?”
Russell sheepishly twitched his shoulders. “Well, not when we first got to town, but once I saw her in that outfit, I had a pretty strong inkling. I’m tellin’ ya, even if she had changed her entire life and personality, there’s no way she would have accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. I mean, maybe if she suffered a traumatic brain injury…” Russell mused and then grinned. “Or if she got abducted by aliens!”
“Oh, not the UFOs again,” Colter sighed with a shake of his head.
“It’s UAP, man. U… A… P,” Russell corrected him once again and let the last letter pop from his lips for emphasis.
“Uh-huh… Did you even need me for this?” Colter leaned back against his seat and quirked an eyebrow.
“Hell yeah!” Russell assured eagerly before changing course. He dialed his enthusiasm back a little. “Well, honestly, I just needed your op analyst. I could’ve used one of my guys, but then that would’ve flagged it with someone upstairs, so… But c’mon! This was fun, right?”
“I don’t know, Russell. I usually prefer my fun to look a little different,” Colter deadpanned.
“With Reenie?” Russell wagged his eyebrows. The huge smirk on his face spoke volumes.
“Would you stop?!”
“‘Sides, this is nice, isn’t it? Us… hanging out?” Russell’s sly grin then morphed into a much softer and genuine smile.
“I guess, yeah,” Colter reluctantly agreed and shrugged his shoulders. But the tiny smile on his face wasn’t missed by Russell.
“Alright, let’s get some fuel,” Russell announced and playfully slapped his brother’s chest. “I’m starving. We also need to find a place where we can park that Airstream of yours. Maybe get a nice fire going, drink a few…”
“What is this? A sleepover? Did you just invite yourself?” Colter really wasn’t used to family members dropping in like this, but he couldn’t deny that it felt sort of nice, too.
“Yeah, I am. I mean, you didn’t offer. Would’ve been the polite thing, you know, considering I saved your ass last time,” Russell retorted puckishly.
Colter exhaled a humorous breath, shaking his head with a chuckle. “Alright, okay… Consider yourself invited.”
“See? Wasn’t so hard now, was it?”
Russell’s nerves leaped through the roof as he set foot onto the church grounds. A part of him expected his boot soles to leave burn marks in their wake on the perfectly green and trimmed lawn, considering his extensive list of sins.
Families, children, couples, and the elderly had all gathered in front of the church. There were picnic tables, blankets, even balloons and a banner. His green eyes, however, landed on the giant buffet, his mouth already beginning to water.
That’s also where he spotted you, handing out cupcakes and slices of pie with a pious smile on your face. Your hair was stuck behind your ears, a headband keeping it tightly in place. Your dress looked the same, only the flower pattern varied, with a tight cardigan around your shoulders that hid any naked skin.
Deceptively innocent, Russell thought, causing his mouth to water for a different reason.
“You okay? You nervous?” Colter checked with a curiously raised brow.
“Nervous? Me? No.” Russell gave a quick shake of his head, but his eyes were transfixed on you. “Gotta admit. That outfit’s doing something to me, though.”
Colter patted his shoulder blade. “Yeah, might wanna keep it in your pants, Russ. Pretty sure you get kicked out for impure thoughts.”
Russell snorted a laugh. “Yeah, probably.”
The Shaw brothers then made their way over to your stand. Russell’s heart thumped louder with every new step he took towards you. And once he was so close he could smell your irresistible perfume, his smile only widened.
You, on the other hand, played your role flawlessly and pretended you didn’t know either brother in front of you. Your brows knit in question, but your devout smile remained the same.
“Gentlemen, how can I help you? I don’t think I’ve seen you here before,” you said and subtly gestured your head to the pastor next to you.
Russell’s brow raised in understanding. He cleared his throat. “Oh, me and my brother just moved here. Looking for a new church. Heard this is the place,” he stated loud enough for the pastor to hear. “You know, we are very devout Christians. I mean, especially my brother here. If he doesn’t pray at least ten times a day, he gets real cranky.”
Colter threw him a look but decided to play along. “Oh, yeah, I just-… I hate that. Can’t pray enough, right?”
“Amen,” you said with all the sincerity you could muster. On the inside, however, you were bursting with laughter. Leave it to Russell to make you smile brighter than the sun.
“Well, you’ve certainly come to the right place,” the pastor chimed in with a cheerful smile that spelled kumbaya all the way through as he shook the brothers’ hands. “I’m Pastor Jeff. Welcome to our little congregation, folks.”
“God can never have enough sheep, am I right?” Russell quipped and wondered how long you’d already been undercover, playing your dutiful role as a Christian housewife. Five sentences in, and he already was at his limit.
“That’s right!” The pastor grinned broadly. “Please help yourselves to our delicious buffet.”
“Well, lookey, what do we have here.” Russell’s eyes zoned in on a plate of apple pie, rubbing his palms in delight.
“Oh, you have to try the pie,” the pastor eagerly suggested and put an arm around your shoulders. “Our Nora here is an excellent baker. Her desserts are a real trend in our community. It is downright sinful. But shhhh, don’t tell the big man upstairs.”
“Secret’s safe with me, pastor,” Russell grinned slyly before meeting your eyes for the briefest second. “Say, do you do marriage counseling too?”
The glare you shot him had enough power to kill him from afar. You might as well have ordered a missile strike on him.
“Oh, my, yes, of course!” the pastor eagerly replied, causing your frown to deepen. “Are you married? Having a little trouble with the missus?”
“You could say that,” Russell earnestly played along and propped up his hands on his hips. “Everything was going fine, you know? And then one morning, just whoosh, gone. No explanation, no letter, no anonymous call from a pay phone…”
“Wow…” The pastor was stunned and enthralled by Russell’s colorful storytelling at the same time. You weren’t, however.
“Well, I’m so sorry to hear that,” you feigned your sympathies with tight lips and a fierce glare at your former lover. “But you know what they say, the Lord giveth and he taketh away…”
“You know, Nora here is right. Our Lord does work in mysterious ways,” the pastor chimed in agreement.
“Amen, Pastor Jeff,” you said, smiling contentiously. “Do you have any idea why your wife left?”
“Oh, I’m afraid she’s as mysterious as the Lord,” Russell replied.
Crossing your arms over your chest, you forced a tight smile. “I don’t mean to overstep, but it sounds like someone was having a little trouble with commitment.”
“It does,” Pastor Jeff agreed. “Why do you think that is?”
Clearing his throat uncomfortably, Russell’s head bobbed, his tongue poking the insides of his cheeks. He was definitely feeling a spotlight on him. Even Colter seemed to curiously lean in. Then, the oldest Shaw clicked his tongue. “Rough childhood.”
Amused, Colter scoffed under his breath behind him. “You could say that.”
“Oh no.” The pastor sent the brothers a pitying look and turned his attention to the younger Shaw. “And what do you do?”
“Oh, uh… Well, before I moved in with my brother here, I lived in a trailer and traveled all over the country.”
“Sounds… lonely,” Pastor Jeff stated worriedly.
“Yeah, this one is a big lone wolf. He has commitment issues too,” Russell replied, earning him a scolding look from his brother.
“Uh, I don’t think we need to overshare, Russ.” Colter gave an awkward smile, turning to you and Pastor Jeff. “He’s kidding. I don’t have commitment issues.”
“It’s a sin to lie, Colter,” Russ noted. His tone was serious, but the twinkle in his green eyes was impish.
“What happened to your face there?” The pastor cocked his head and inspected the younger Shaw’s injuries.
Oof, he looked rough. The skin under his eyes and bridge of his nose were swollen and bruised, ranging in color from blue, purple to black. A thin burgundy line also graced his throat. You had done quite a number on him.
You should kick Russell’s ass for setting you both up like this. Who would do this to their little brother?
“Uh, you know, moving boxes…” Colter stammered with a shift of his weight from one foot to the other, pursing his lips.
Russell was a better liar than him, you noted.
“Yup, walked straight into one of those wood planks,” Russell added, oozing just the right amount of charm and humor to wrap the pastor around his finger. “Tiny thing, honestly, but still got him good.”
Oh, he was so proud of that too, you could tell. He smirked right at you. Well, they were both terrible liars.
“Not that tiny. Big, big plank,” Colter corrected. Apparently, you had bruised his ego, too. “Lucky to be alive, really.”
Yeah, he really was.
“Well, speaking of taking things away, I still have to get the eggs from the chickens,” you said, segueing the conversation to an exit strategy. “Excuse me.”
“Oh, you have chickens here?” Russell enthusiastically slapped Colter’s arm. “Did you hear that? They have chickens.”
“Yeah, uh, very exciting,” Colter said, subtly clearing his throat.
“We’ve always wanted chickens,” Russell clarified for the pastor, joining you by your side as you rounded the table. It wasn’t true, though. The brothers actually had a chicken coop at the cabin when they were kids and hated it. The hens were noisy, the rooster was the worst, and it was always a mess to clean up. “I love those clucking little buggers. And now that we have a big backyard… Mind if I come along and check out your setup?”
“Not at all,” you replied with a friendly smile.
“Great. Be right back,” Russell told his brother, hurrying after you before he eloquently made a U-turn back to the stand and grabbed a plate of pie.
“Take your time,” Colter said through a pressed smile, although he wondered how long he’d be stuck here for with the pastor and your fake husband.
“Clear,” you said and held the creaking wooden door of the coop open for Russell to follow inside. As soon as it fell shut behind you two, you crossed your arms. “Okay, talk.”
“What? Here? Now?” With squinted eyes and a cocked brow, Russell looked around the small and dark space full of farm fowl, hay, and feathers.
You threw your arms up in exasperation. “You said you wanted to talk, so talk. What’s wrong with this place?”
“Nothing,” Russell said timidly and swallowed. He scratched the back of his neck. “You know, I just imagined this conversation a thousand times in my head, and it never happened in a chicken coop on church grounds.”
“Adorable,” you commented unamused, your brow knitting even more.
“All I’m sayin’ is, this just takes some time gettin’ used to…”
“Get used to it faster.”
Russell sighed. Then you did.
You softened your stance, crossed arms falling freely to your sides. “I’ve missed you,” you said earnestly and gifted him a small smile, taking in his changed appearance for the first time in detail.
He was hairier than you remembered. That you knew for sure. If you went back even further, he was also a lot broader, too. When you’d met, he was just a kid – as were you. It was only in the last few years of your relationship that he started to gain some serious muscle and really began to fill out his uniform. And all of a sudden, the tall and broad-shouldered soldier became more threatening – and more protective.
Now, clean-shaven, young, somewhat naive, and rule-following was replaced by a rebellious, midlife-crisis beard and the matching hair.
Ah, the t-shirt… Mötley Crüe. He found that thing eleven years ago at a thrift store in Arizona. It had a (bullet) hole on the left side of his lower back that you had patched – thrice. Once even with teething floss in a tent.
“How have you been?”
Russell’s head bobbed. He shrugged. “So-so.” Then he smiled. Soft and warm. The first few rays of sunshine on frozen winter skin. “I’ve missed you, too.” Then, the smile disappeared from his lips, replaced by contempt. “Got your divorce papers. Not signing them, by the way.”
“Good.” You smiled weakly. “I didn’t want you to sign them. I just sent them to get your attention.”
The relief that surged through Russell’s body was ineffable. For months, he thought he’d lost you – that you’d finally given up on him for good.
“How’s the new job working out?”
Russell’s lips drew a smirk, flirtatious charm glimmering in his forest green eyes. “What, you keeping tabs on me, sweetheart?”
You matched his expression. “Who do you think recommended you, huh?”
Russell stumped for a beat. His lips pursed, eyebrows drawing into a wondering v. “Well, they said someone did. Just didn’t think it was you.”
All this time, he’d believed you had crossed him out of your mind with a red pen as soon as you’d walked out the door that very morning.
“I told you. I’ll always look out for you,” you replied simply, a caring smile dancing on your lips. “So? Did it help? Are you any closer?”
“Yeah, guess so…” He paused for a moment, his gaze focused on the tips of his boots as he thought. “Not sure it was worth it, though. Actually, I’m fucking sure it wasn’t.”
You exhaled a long breath. You knew this day would come eventually. You knew he’d come back for you. Granted, you had expected him on your goddamn doorstep years ago, but he never showed. Sending divorce papers was a last resort in hopes he’d wake up then. That had been nine months ago.
“Why are you here, Russ?”
“Things have changed.”
Ah. That made things perfectly clear.
Lifting a brow, you crossed your arms again. “Is that why you brought your little brother along? As a show of good faith?”
“Kinda.”
“Poor Colter… How’s his nose?”
Russell wiped your sincere concerns away with a shrug. “He’ll be fine. Don’t worry about it. Just a scratch.”
Just a scratch…
“It’s weird… seeing you two together,” you said. For more than fifteen years, you had wondered. A part of you thought this day would never come, so maybe Colter being here was indeed a show of good faith and Russell was finally, finally dealing with his shit.
That man could easily fill the Denver airport with his baggage.
“You look good,” you noted. You were trained to control your heartbeat, but he had always made your job harder. “Different.”
His fingers brushed his beard as if to emphasize the newness. “Yeah? You like it?”
“Well, uhm, I don’t hate it,” you said rather coyly. Did you want to give him a win? No. But if he stepped any closer, you would falter. Your cheeks blushed as the tip of your shoe drew circles in the sandy ground. Why did your ears suddenly feel so hot?
Russell smiled as heat crept to his cheeks as well. “Your new look is somethin’, too.”
“God, shut up.” You rolled your eyes at him but couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face.
“Oh, I don’t think you’re allowed to take the Lord’s name in vain here,” Russell teased. “Don’t let good Pastor Jeff hear ya.”
You laughed, scoffing. “I hate that man.”
“Pastor Jeff? I can tell,” Russell chuckled in amusement and finally stuffed his face with the first bite of pie, chewing a mouthful as he spoke. “But c’mon, he ain’t half bad.”
“Really? You don’t wanna shoot yourself after spending five minutes with him? ‘Cause I do. And it’s been months for me,” you said. “You don’t know what that man does in his office.”
“You bugged his office?”
“And the confession booth. Two words: game changer,” you said, wide-eyed. Russell whistled lowly. You narrowed your eyes at the half-eaten plate in his hands and the pie crumbs in his beard. You raised a scolding brow. “Did you really have to bring the pie?”
“Do you even know me at all? Of course I did.” Russell then shoved the last bite into his mouth to prove his petulant point. “Did you actually bake this?”
In expectant offense, you stepped back a little, crossing your arms again. “Why?”
“‘Cause it’s good.”
“Do you even know me at all? What d’you think?”
“Thought so.” Russell gave a shrug of his shoulders. “The first bite of this didn’t give me immediate food poisoning.”
“Fuck you. I’m a great cook,” you huffed but couldn’t help the grin on your face. You had missed this – the bickering, the bantering, the fun. And Russell, the sly asshole, knew that, judging by his own smirk.
“There’s a lot of reasons why I love you, but your cooking skills ain’t one of ‘em, sweetheart,” he quipped.
“I’ll use you as shooting practice, Shaw,” you threatened playfully. Russell laughed, but it sounded more secretive than a laugh about a joke. “What?”
Russell’s eyes found yours. “Nothing. This is nice, right? We slid right back into it. Like the last three years never happened.”
“Russ…” You sighed, your heart hurting. For you, they happened.
“Just saying it was easy. That’s all,” he said with placating hands. “How’s the family? How’s your dad?”
That caused you to suck in a breath. You had wondered when he would finally dare to ask. You knew this was the real reason why he was here. “Dave finally married Jill last spring. It was a nice wedding. Florence, Italy. Got to wear a sun hat.”
“That’s good.” Russell smiled softly, although it stung that he wasn’t invited. He had always imagined he would be, once your brother popped the question to his longtime girlfriend. After all, Russell was the one who introduced the couple in the first place.
“They wanted to do it sooner, but because of the pandemic…”
“They shoulda done it ten years ago. I kept telling him to lock it down,” Russell quipped, the irony not entirely lost on him. He knew even if something was locked down, didn’t necessarily mean it would stay forever.
“You did,” you remembered with a fond smile. “They wanted you there,” you added, noticing his saddened expression. “It’s just-…”
“No, I know. Don’t worry about it,” Russell brushed it off with all the coolness he could muster at that moment.
“Russ…”
“I said it’s fine,” he repeated and forced another smile. “So, how’s the old man?”
Silently, you bit your lip and sent him a look that spoke volumes.
“Uh-oh. That bad, huh?”
“It’s the reason why I moved back here. To be closer… As close as I can be with this job. Figured it was best for everyone,” you explained. “In the beginning, he had a lot of good days, you know? Now they just all seem… bad.”
“Yeah… I’m sorry,” Russell replied, dumping his empty plate by the chickens. He stepped closer.
Uh-oh. Now, you were in trouble.
“I’m sorry, too.”
Russell’s brow jumped up. “What are you sorry for? It’s your dad.”
“I know. But… he kinda was yours too, right?” Russell’s green eyes meeting yours confirmed your statement. “He still talks about you on his good days. God knows you couldn’t throw a football before you met him.”
“Hey, that’s not true. I could throw the old pigskin around perfectly fine,” Russell defended.
You snorted. “You could not,” you argued with a teasing smile. “You knew how to kill sweet little forest critters and turn your pee into drinking water. But you did not know how to throw a damn ball.”
“You’re never letting the pee thing go, are you?”
You shrugged. “It was a very memorable trip.”
Russell laughed at that. Then the melancholic sadness returned to his face. “How’s-, uhm, how’s Lewis?”
He’d made it through the list of your relatives, finishing with the most important one. And it stung so unbearably much it broke your heart for him. But in the end, you knew he’d done it to himself.
Fighting the tears in your eyes, you forced a smile to your lips. “He’s good. He’s a sweet boy. Keeps asking questions about his daddy that I don’t know how to answer…” you scoffed humorlessly but decided to forgo the pettiness. It would be so easy to be mad at him, but not even on your darkest days could you do it. “He’s starting school this fall.”
“School, huh?” Russell huffed a devastating chuckle, the tears brimming in his eyes as the lump in his throat only grew. “Shit…”
It was getting to him, you could see, and he hadn’t expected that it would. Knowing Russell, he probably figured he could push through the pain and be fine. But he had never really been fine since the day you met him – and he wasn’t this time either as he squeezed his eyes shut, trying to blink the tears away, and turned his back to you with a hand clasped over his mouth.
“Should I stop?”
It felt like you were torturing him with a cruel new method of some PsyOp. Even if you had cursed this man for the past three years, your heart refused to see him hurt.
But Russell shook his head, finding your eyes again. He offered you a weak smile. “No, uh, don’t. Just tell me something about him, okay? I’m fine. Please.”
Sighing, you nodded in acceptance. “When my dad was better, he and Dave would take him fishing a lot. He loved it. He’s in his ‘backyard adventures’ phase,” you said, giggling softly. “He’s catching frogs and releasing them in the house. Never imagined I’d wake up with an amphibian on my head. It’s been a delightful experience.”
Russell laughed, but it was feeble at best. “I can imagine…”
And I can’t imagine I missed it all, he thought self-punishingly. But the hard part still hadn’t come yet.
“And, uhm…” Russell wrung for words, taking a deep breath. “How’s the baby? Is it–”
“She,” you stated, watching him swallow upon your correction. “Her name’s Amelia. She turned two in April.”
“Huh, girl…” His heart beat faster, grew bigger, and painfully yearned. His feet trembled to get home, wherever that was, and see them, but he knew he couldn’t. It wasn’t so easy, after all. “Guess I was right…” he said with a sad smile.
You had been sure you’d have another boy. However, Russell had bet you ten meatball subs – your craving at the time – that it wasn’t.
“What happened to Ann? Thought that’s the name we picked,” Russell teased in hopes of lightening the mood.
“Yeah, well, if you wanted a say, maybe you should’ve been there…” you retorted.
Russell should’ve known winning you over wouldn’t be as simple as spelling the ABC.
“You’re the one who left,” Russell muttered finger-pointing-ly under his breath.
“Don’t pretend you don’t know why,” you bit glaringly.
Russell swallowed lightly, nodding. “You’re right. I do. I’m sorry.” Pausing, his eyes glanced around the coop before he gestured with a hand at your outfit, looking you up and down. “So, speaking of the kids, what’s going on here? Thought you were done with the deep-covers,” he changed the subject with a clear of his throat.
He knew if he continued talking about what he’d missed, he wouldn’t make it out of that chicken coop for the next several hours, sobbing uncontrollably in the hay with the hens.
“I was. Had a desk job. Kinda…” A desk job in the CIA still never really was a desk job. “I was station chief in Paris.”
“Paris, huh? Fancy,” Russell said, but the joke didn’t reach the crinkles around his eyes.
“It’s the job I took after I left. We only moved back to the States in the beginning of the year,” you explained. “The kids loved it there, though. Lewis still gets a craving for crêpes every once in a while.”
Russell chuckled, even though every story added another bruise to his heart.
“Anyways, I got a job at Langley. Desk. Bought a house not too far from here, actually. It’s nice. Got a big backyard. Even bigger oak tree,” you told him with a smile. “Lewis wants me to build him a treehouse, but I’m not sure I can swing it.”
“I could help,” Russell offered, trying to keep his eagerness at bay when truly all he wanted was to race there and build the damn thing now. “I mean, if I can come by sometime…”
Your heart sank. “You can always come home. You always could, Russ.”
Home.
That four-letter word filled him with so much warmth and longing it brought back the tears in his eyes.
“So, uhm, why are you here and not there then?” This time, he switched the topic because he would’ve kissed you if he hadn’t. “You running a sting on the pastor or…?”
“One of his sheep.”
“Ah.” Russell nodded. “Need any help?”
“From you and Colter?”
“Yeah.”
“No, thank you.”
“Oh, c’mon, just lemme help. The faster you get this done and over with, the sooner you can stop clutching your fake pearls and get home to the kids,” Russell reasoned.
You sighed, knowing he was partially right. You did hate your disguise as much as you hated the annoyingly nosy pastor. Moreover, you missed your children a fucking lot. It had already been three months. Fall was coming soon, and you had promised your son you’d be home by his first day of school.
“C’mon, how did they lure you back in, huh? Who’s the naughty little sheep you’re working?”
“Can’t talk about this here,” you told him, automatically lowering your voice. It was hard to remember who you were right now, when what you were used to be was standing right in front of you.
Russell quirked a brow. “Did you bug the coop, too?”
“No, the pastor’s scared of the chickens, which is why I didn’t bother. But you never know if someone else isn’t listening. We’ve already shared too much. We shouldn’t do this here,” you insisted, and Russell nodded in agreement. He knew the dangers as well as you did.
“Then where?”
You exhaled a deep breath and thought for a moment. You wanted to see him again. You knew he didn’t just come find you to catch up and then leave again.
“Come by the house tonight. Make it look natural. I’ll invite you guys to dinner as a sort of friendly welcome wagon to the neighborhood. The pastor is gonna buy it in a heartbeat. Just give me a good reason to invite you over.”
Russell nodded in understanding. “Alright.”
Part 3: This Is a Heart-To-Heart – SOON 💚
Welp, seems like Russell omitted having a wife and two kids... 🙈😂
I'll post the next part in the beginning of the new year or straight after Polaris has finished. We'll see ☺️
Enjoy the rest of your holidays, loves! Can't wait to read your comments on this one 😉🤍

pairing// matthew gray gubler and reader || wc// 942
summary// you're surprised you're being rung first for once
"Your phone's been vibrating."
You look up at the girl, holding your flour-stained hands up as she laughs. "Answer for me?"
"On speaker?"
"Well I sure hope it isn't a stalker."
"It's a facetime."
"Can you prop it up on the counter?"
"Yeah."
"Is there a caller ID?" The other girl raises a brow.
"Some... white guy."
"Well, that makes one of two people." You nod as she answers, and you raise a brow when Matt's voice rings through.
"Well what do we have here?"
"Flour-stained hands that are about to smear the screen if you say something that could get us jailed." You wave, mixture stuck to your hands as the other girl turns around at the sound of a man.
"A MAN!?"
"Oh, my god. He's white too." She slaps a hand over her mouth, and Matt laughs.
"Who are you with?"
You introduce your friends, pointing to each one of them and motioning for another to come in, hand still working at the dough as the other girls look over to see him. He waves, and you hum. "This is Matt. He's my fourty-four year old white man best friend."
"Forever twenty one, excuse you." Matt corrects.
"Yeah, yeah, and I'm pushing fifty." You roll your eyes, squeezing at the dough.
One of the girls speaks up. "Did he dethrone white boy?"
"No. Matt's a man, unfortunately." You hum, staring at the dough. "I have him saved under fav white man."
"The dough's ready to rest. Go catch up with him." One of the girls shoo you.
"So you hate me."
"How'd you know?"
"Guess I'll just go kill myself, then." You roll your eyes, reaching to the side to wash out your hands.
"Hey, that's no fun." Matt hums. "Am I on speaker?"
"Yeah. I'll grab earbuds in a second." You nod, wiping your hands clean of the water.
"No rush."
You get your earbuds and settle on the couch, curling up.
"What were you guys doing?"
"Making dumplings. One of the girls wanted to try making them for the first time. I think you can tell just based off of..." You trail off, humming. "Why'd you call?"
"Wanted to see what you were up to. I've been at home these days and you haven't been calling." He hums.
"Yeah, I'm cramming in a handful of things before I start classes again." You look up at one of the girls on her phone and poking holes into the dough, holding back a laugh. "I think I overkneaded the dough."
"Hey, nothing a little science can't fix." He hums back. "You been alright?"
"Yeah." You raise a brow when you finally catch a good look at him, raising a brow. "Are you shirtless?"
"God forbid a man be shirtless in his own home."
"This is why you're not pulling."
"Don't be mean." He points, pouting. "Don't be mean."
"Sorry, dad." You roll your eyes, catching one of the girls staring at you. "If a rumor starts that I have a daddy kink you're gonna be reading my obituary very soon."
"I doubt it." He hums.
"Are you coming back soon?"
"I'll call you when I do. Do you wanna come grab me?"
"No car." You shake your head. "I'll pick you up on the subway, though."
"Not scared of my fans?"
"I think there's a fair chance that most people know you have friends anyway." You roll your eyes. "You been alright? Not too busy?"
"Not too busy at all." He shakes his head. "A short break."
"That's good." You hum. "I'm surprised you're not out wandering."
"I wanted to call to check if you're alright."
"I'm not home, but my family's fine. We're a little more south. I have... friends, and I'm sure you do too, who have had to evacuate." You rest your cheek on the back of the couch, staring at your friends.
"That's good."
"You alright? Family and friends?"
"A lot of friends have evacuated, but everyone's safe. Recovering won't be as nice, though." He hums.
"A lot of homes are going to have to be rebuilt." He sets you on the bedside, camera facing the ceiling as you look at your watch.
"Is it not dinner time for you?"
"It is."
"Did you eat already?"
"Went out with some friends."
"And you missed me?" You raise a brow.
"Yeah. Wanted to hear your voice. We haven't called in a while."
"I suppose so." You hum. "Missed you too. Can't wait to get you back here in the city."
"You'll be my first stop, promise."
"Awww..." You hold a hand to your chest, feigning comfort. "You say that as if you're not gonna book it to the indian place first thing."
"Hey, I'll be booking it and then you'll be joining me, obviously." He rolls his eyes. "How's the camera?"
"Clicking." You hum. "I took photos earlier."
"It's nice to think that I'll get a glimpse into your life outside of our calls."
"Hope my camera's serving its purpose too."
"It is. Always." He hums. "I'll let you go. I'm sure your friends have questions."
"One of them thought you were my high school classmate." You roll your eyes, humming.
"Which account did you change?"
"My discord." You watch as he picks up the phone again, waving at you.
"Tell her I'm honored."
"Oh, I'm sure you are." You hum, waving back. "I'll see you in a bit, Matt."
"Hey, you gonna come pick me up, yeah?"
"Of course I will." You smile. "I'll go with a pick up sign too."
"Then I'll be waiting. See you."
"See you. Love you lots."
"Love you too."

Football Incident(Beth Mead & Vivianne Miedema)
Warning: injury
Summary: Beth & Viv watch their daughter play in her first football game & things don't go as planned.
It was supposed to be a fun family day, watching Mira play in her first soccer Game. Little Mira was four years old now. Spoiler alert it wasn't such a fun day.
Beth woke Mira up in the morning around 7am, they had to leave at 8:15am to make there in time. "Mommy? I am really excited and i am gonna play my bestest game just like you and Mama always do!" Mira told Beth with a soft smile. "I know you gonna do great munchkin. But remember it's important to have fun, okay?" Beth answered. Helping her daughter to get dressed. Viv walked in smiling from ear to ear "there is my little Football Star!" She said and picked you up kissing your forehead. " Yes Mama that's me!" Mira hugged Viv close. "Mommy said it's important to also have fun!" Mira explained to Viv. "Well your mommy is not only gorgeous but also very smart, cause what she told you is very true!" Viv stated and kissed Beth gently. Beth kissed back. "Still sweet talking me after all those years i see!" She answered which made Mira giggle. "I am gonna have fun for you cause you are my mommies and for all my aunties coming to watch me Play!" Mira let them know. Looking down at her football kit. "I even look cool like you!" The little one sure could be a Chatter Box.
After Mira had toast and a banana for breakfast they drove to the football field. When they got there all her aunties were already there. Jill,Leah,Lia,Alessia,Caitlin & Katie waving at Mira. "Mama! Mommy! Look aunties!" She said and ran over. "Slow down, munchkin!" Viv yelled out. Intertwining fingers with Beth. "I am careful!" Mira yelled and ran into Katies arms. "Auntie Katie i gonna have lots of fun cause mommy told me it's important! But also i am gonna kick some Butt and Score a Goal!" The little girl let Katie know. "Mira Anouk Miedema Mead Langauge!" Beth told her daughter. "Sorry Mommy!" The grown ups were all laughing.
The game started soon and Mira played really well. She did in fact score a goal. Which was surprising cause the Team they played against looked like they were all around two years older then Mira and her Team. When Mira got the ball again. Ready to Pass it to one of her teammates a Girl from the other team tackled Mira and landed on top of her. The sound of a crack filled the air which was followed by Miras loud Scream. "Munchkin!" Viv yelled out and ran over to her daughter, followed by Beth. Leah and Katie were ready to start beef with the child who hurt their niece and Caitlin really had to try hard to Stop her fiancee from getting into Trouble. Lia also held back her pregnant wife. "Mommy, Mama! It Hurts!" Mira sobbed out and carefully climbed into her Mamas arms. Viv held her close. Making sure not to touch the arm that caused her daughter pain and for sure looked broken. "I know Angel. Let's get you to the hospital. They gonna make it all better there!" Viv kissed her childs forehead gently. "Mommy is gonna drive and Mama is gonna sit in the back with you my darling." Beth replied and they walked to the car with her. Her aunties all followed and would also drive there in their own cars.
Viv held Mira the entire time, they listened to Taylor Swift Songs and the little Girl ended up falling asleep in her mothers arms. "Our poor Baby." Beth breathed out. "This is heartbreaking, isn't it?!" Viv replied. Sighing sadly. Around 25 minutes later they parked in front of thr Hospital and walked inside. Soon followed by Miras aunties. Beth & Viv stayed with her the entire time while everyone was in the waiting room. Only time her moms left her side was for the x-rays. Turned out the arm was indeed broken but good news it was a clean break, so no surgery was needed. Just a cast and regular Check ups for the next 5 weeks. All of her aunts promised to check on her daily.
"you were such a brave little girl at the hospital." Beth told Mira when they were back home, cuddled up on the couch while Viv made some lasgana. cause it was her daughters favorite. The little girl was hiding her face in Beths chest, her legs one on each side of her mommys Body. "it was less scary with you & Mama there! Cause i know you wouldn't let them hurt me! They made you and Mamas knees all better at the hospital!" She explained. "They did indeed!" Viv agreed as she walked into the living room from the kitchen. "Ready for some lasgana?" She asked. "Yes Mama! Thank you for making my favorite!" The little girl held her arms out for Viv to carry her so she scooped her into her arms. Careful not to hurt her daughters broken arm, that was wrapped in a red Cast. She held Mira with one while taking Beths hand with her free hand leading her into the kitchen.
After they had lasagna they watched some paw patrol with their daughter before putting Mira to bed. She was allowed to sleep in her mommies bedroom tonight.
Today sure didn't go as planned. But at least things were fixable.
