Reading yet another book where they had the PERFECT SETUP for an aromantic character, and instead they’re like “Oh actually she’s a lesbian. That’s why she had no personal concept of romance.”
#ahhhhhhhhhhh#why??#Like I'm here for the lesbians in my books#but#ok with Agatha Wellbelove#it was 'he's the hero and i'm the prettiest girl in school that's how romance works right?'#then in the second book she even thinks 'maybe i like girls?' she asks herself while trying to force herself to like said girl#it was perfect for an aro arc in book 3 and then they were just like#nope she just likes the butch sheepherder that she's known for 5 days and insulted for all of them#now i'm seeing it in Felicity Montague#maybe the book will prove me wrong#but at SO MANY POINTS#she has expressed not understanding romance#not seeing what it's all about#and now they're introducing tension with other female characters#which would be so great if the story hadn't started with her explicitly not understanding or having experienced romantic attraction already
