FUUUCK I can't post it bc I don't want it spread online but there's this old video of me recording our TV when I was like 5-6 and whisper-yelling "Dragon Ball Z Kai" (pronounced like "dragon ball z kahhh" in a very rushed way) that I found while going through the old desktop's hard drive and like. It's so insanely funny I wish I could post it so fucking bad but I'd rather keep that as something only those close to me (who I trust not to post anywhere) get to see. But also that means nobody else will get it if I go "dragonballzeekahhhhhhhh" out loud. This pains me.
#ramblings#it used to air on nicktoons so i watched it a lot from like 5-8 (?)#theres also this video of me going ``welcome to my spongebob show ... uhmmm heres spongeeebobbb (squarepants)``#and then i just record a couple minutes of the episode of spongebob that was airing at that moment :sob:#fuuck that shits so funny. little me given a camera and allowed to go ham is actual comedy gold that i am never posting anywhere

Here’s my idea for a Saturday morning programming block:
Omega, a programming block on The CW
Here’s the programming lineup:
Starting off at 7:00 is Mew Mew Power, formerly aired on Fox’s 4Kids TV. Because screw EI, I want some magical girl anime! Yes, the dub might suck (comes with the territory of 4Kids), but seeing how we need at least an hour of this shit a day, I’d figure we’d start Omega off right!
7:30 is Powerpuff Girls Z. This show never had a proper release in the US, probably because of the hate this show got, but the original would probably get thrown off for being “too violent”, and I am not going near that reboot, so here we are! Plus, I just love this show!
8:00 is Transformers: Animated, formerly aired on Cartoon Network (and later Hub Network). This will forever be my favorite show in the Transformers franchise, G1 be damned. I really think this could have worked well on the last months of Kids WB, considering that the only shows worth watching during that time were World of Quest, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Tom & Jerry Tales. But it didn’t, and here I am talking about it.
8:30 is Hot Wheels Battle Force 5, previously aired on Cartoon Network. Now, truth be told, I don’t actually remember that much about Battle Force 5; as the only interaction I had with the show was being on the website a lot when I was six, and watching a little bit of the show. But I’ll be damned if The CW doesn’t carry at least one racing-themed cartoon, wether it be this or Speed Racer or hell, even Wacky Races would do!
9:00 is Spider Riders, previously aired on Kids WB, and later This TV’s Cookie Jar Toons. This is one of two veterans from Kids WB, and DAMN! Do I like this one! I remember watching this show on Netflix when I was, like, 6, when my mom took notice of me watching Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, and found it to be to inappropriate for my 6-year-old self, and sent me to the kids’ section, where I looked for anime and found this gem. I haven’t come back to it yet, but mark my words, one day I will!
9:30 is Code Lyoko, previously aired on Cartoon Network’s Miguzi. I remember watching this a lot with my cousin Jeremy (coincidence, right?). And it’s BACK on Netflix, where I have the entire series downloaded. I’m not finished yet, but I will be.
10:00 is Yu-Gi-Oh, previously on Kids WB, and later Toonzai and Vortexx, as well as Cartoon Network and even Nicktoons. Remember what I said about Spider Riders being one of two Kids WB veterans? Well, this is the other veteran I was talking about. You can’t have an anime-themed Saturday morning programming block without Yu-Gi-Oh! It’s unnatural! Science confirmed it!
10:30 is Zatch Bell, previously aired on Cartoon Network. I think this is kid-friendly enough, so we’ll put it here. Zatch Bell is something I discovered when my brother-in-law turned on Crunchyroll while I was on the computer (this was while I was, like, 10) and turned on this. I was hooked, at least while that show was on. Later on, I looked more into it, and I actually kinda liked it. Even wanted to make a sequel, even though my brain wasn’t smart enough to realize that wouldn’t work. But anyway, I really like this one, and I put it here!
11:00 is Dragon Ball Z Kai (the edited version), previously aired on Toonzai and Vortexx, and also Nicktoons. Dragon Ball franchise has gotten some backlash in recent years, due to the somewhat-controversial Dragon Ball Super (which is now banned in Argentina). But I put DBZ Kai on here because this isn’t DBS. And it helps that it’s been on the CW before.
Ending off at 11:30 with The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police, formerly airing on Fox Kids. This is the oldest program on the block, and one of two shows to air on Fox, rather than The CW or The WB, the other one being Mew Mew Power. I rather enjoy this one. Its zany humor really hits the spot, and it’s a great way to end off Omega.
Other shows could include Speed Racer: The Next Generation, Skylanders Academy, Men in Black: The Series, Jackie Chan Adventures, and The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Top 10 things that would make Nickelodeon great again
Hey guys! Since it's close to the American inauguration, I thought I's count down not-Lincoln Loud's top ten things that would make Nickelodeon great again. If you like what you read, don't forget to reblog so more people are aware of this: 1. Treat nothing like SpongeBob. Every show isn't SpongeBob. Each show has it's own individual touch. Harvey Beaks was off-beat and unconventional in it's humour. Invader Zim targeted an older audience, Avatar and Korra were both story-driven action cartoons. Just because it isn't SpongeBob, doesn't mean it won't sell. Just look at the success of The Loud House. Everyone loves that show! Nickelodeon has so many different series that they brush away and forget about. Specifically Yu-Gi-Oh! and TMNT. Those are some of the most well known franchises in America. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of the most well known anime franchises (along with Sailor Moon.) You could walk up to anyone on the street and ask them about TMNT and there's a good chance they will have at least heard of it. 2. Put Kamen Rider on the network. If they practically own every other thing that aired on the 4Kids blocks back in the day (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, Winx Club, TMNT, etc.) then they should put Kamen Rider on the network. Nickelodeon already has Super Sentai (known as Power Rangers here in the states.) I personally think that any Kamen Rider series (Ghost or EX-Aid in particular) would attract an older audience and boost ratings for them. 3. Branch out. Listen, I think everyone understands that Nickelodeon's age group is around ages 6-11; but they have to remember that kids aren't the only ones that watch the network. These kids have older siblings and parents that watch shows with them. 4. Treat shows with respect. This is one of the reasons that Nickelodeon is the definition of scum on Earth. Once they realise a show isn't working, they move it to the Nicktoons channel, which eventually gets it cancelled. I've seen this done with an array of shows. The most notable is "The Legend of Korra." After getting moved to Nicktoons, Nick aired the last episodes exclusively online. 5. Give new franchises a chance. This is happening more recently. Everyone remembers when the network turned down Adventure Time twice, for Fanboy and Chum-Chum. Adventure Time went on to become majorly successful on Nickelodeon's rival network: Cartoon Network. They seem to be giving more things a chance however. The Loud House has done well, I have hope for the new Mysticons series (even though it seems like the most corporate show of the new decade. For those that are confused, Mysticons is being developed by Nelvana, Nickelodeon, Playmates, and the Topps Trading Card Comapny.) 6. Be more flexible. This has worked very well for Cartoon Network, who saw a change in the game with shows such as Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, and most notably: Steven Universe. Disney had an animation revolution with Gravity Falls. What did Nickelodeon have at this time? Why, they had SpongeBob, Sanjay and Craig, SpongeBob, Fanboy and Chum Chum, SpongeBob, and SpongeBob. They also had Korra, which they treated like crap. They had Harvey Beaks, which did only slightly better than Korra. If the Nick execs. were more flexible when it came to content, then a lot more people would be watching Nickelodeon. 7. Go back to cartoons. Dear Nick, I used to watch you all of the time back in the day. I loved getting up to watch the old SpongeBob, the old Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, MLAATR, Avatar, Chalkzone, etc. But then once I saw your other side, I was disgusted. Don't get me wrong; I loved Drake and Josh and Ned's Declassified. But then you became Disney Channel, but worse. I try sifting through all of your garbage just to watch some good shows. I see sitcoms all of the time on the Disney Channel. (I like Girl Meets World, and now it's ending.) Everyone loved you because of your quality animation. You had it all: Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Ren & Stimpy, CatDog, Rocko's Modern Life (love that theme song!) But now all I see is Henry Danger, School of Rock, Game Shakers, etc. I left out The Thundermans from this list because I think it has the potential (for reference, please go watch their "Secret Revealed" special.) to be a good show. You used to be all about the animation. Now you have two animated shows on your main channel: A good show, and modern SpongeBob. 8. Stop trying to be Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon, Please, I can't stress this enough. You ARE NOT CARTOON NETWORK! I don't care if Teen Titans Go! is working for them, you shouldn't be following the same formula. You want ratings? Look at Gravity Falls over at Disney. That show attracted people of all ages! I understand that people hate you, but that's because you have disgusting quality, just like Cartoon Network. Avatar did well. What happened to the sequel? You threw any hope away, just because of ratings. 9. Care about content. I cannot stress this enough. My generation grew up during the golden age of animated television. We had Powerpuff Girls, Danny Phantom, Samurai Jack, Avatar, Invader Zim, etc. What do the kids of today have to watch? They have Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, and modern SpongeBob. They also have The Loud House but that show is good. 10. Make it so every show has a chance. Nick moved Fairly OddParents to Nicktoons. Not only that, it got moved to 9PM EST. Since Nicktoons functions on Eastern Standard Time, we West Coasters have to remember to watch it at 6PM. This isn't the only instance. I try to watch Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V on Nicktoons. They say it's on at 10. I have to wake up at 7 just to watch it (good thing I can watch the subbed version online for free somewhere...) It's like they want these shows to get cancelled. In the end, I understand that this isn't going to change Nickelodeon in anyway. I'm just optimistic is all. If you finished this list, then good for you. It would be swell if you could reblog this so that it gets more attention. Let's hope for a better Nickelodeon in 2017 (P.S. If for some reason someone who is currently working for Nickelodeon does read this, then pay particular attention to number 2.) Ciao.
