everyone on planet earth chomping at the bit for Halloween, but i just want it to be December.
#we love Christmas so much ever since we left our paranoid & superstitious mother 3 states away#we weren't allowed to even MENTION Christmas until the exact moment she sat us down to eat Thanksgiving dinner#she had all these impossible to understand indicators of deadly bad luck surrounding so much innocuous shit revolving around xmas#her absolute worst one was hearing xmas Elvis before Thanksgiving dinner#which... if you've ever been any public place after halloween xmas Elvis plays 500x an hour#it took like 3 years to undo all the paranoia and legit fear she instilled in us regarding what is literally the best time of year lol#even then we still have pangs of panic when one of her bullshit superstitions shows up before its 'the right time'#Anyway. we now live xmas more than any other time of year since we've been able to actually enjoy it :)#💜#rant in tags
