It's not news or anything but I love this Elizabeth/Darcy exchange so much:
“Implacable resentment is a shade in a character. But you have chosen your fault well. I really cannot laugh at it. #not a word there that doesn't need to be there and yet it's so easy to follow#and quick and fun and appealing without sacrificing the basic tension of their dynamic#it seems like the pop culture version of the scene always tries to amp up the tension from this#yet that always falls short to me of the much more understated original#the mutual challenge and energy and intelligence that's so charged between them#and closing out with miss bingley reminding them she exists ;jakdfkadfkj
