I think a lot about how in DSoD we found out Bakura got the ring like...way younger than most people, or at least I, previously assumed he had. Upon his introduction I assumed that maybe he had the ring for like, max a few years? But in DSoD he’s definitely a grade-schooler or younger. It’s tough to tell how young exactly because we know Takahashi is Not Good with timelines, or designing children in a way that makes sense, but he is definitely very small. 

I guess that does partially explain why he keeps holding on to the ring? He’s literally just used to it? Ryou Bakura hasn’t been blacking out since 9th grade, he’s been blacking out since he learned how to read.
