found your blog and i think your opinions are interesting and correct (attempting to pick up warriors after like 2 years of not keeping up) anywayy can i ask for your opinions on thrushpelt? (yes i believe people would like him less if he was female but thats not his fault it's the erins')
I kinda like Thrushpelt! I don't have super strong feelings on him. He reminds me of fernsong in that i think the fandom puts him up on too big a pedestal for being the absolute bare minimum of a "decent guy", but unlike fernsong he has the advantage of feeling like an actual character rather than a cardboard cutout or missed potential. I think the whole idea of bluestar not being able to tell him (some of) her kids are alive and having to watch him go through that grieving process is genuinely tragic and compelling for both parties but i think a looot of that is held up by fanon. Haven't read BP in a while but I don't think it goes super in depth on that.
(in regards to the gender thing, I think he would just be a lot less remembered if anything. Warriors fans have always seemed pretty desperate for a "good dad" character to latch onto- which, fair I guess, because there really aren't many to the point where i have seen people make ridiculous stretches over the years to fit various male characters into that category- and considering that's one of thrushpelt's biggest defining qualities I think that portion of the fandom wouldn't care as much if he was a girl.)
#for some reason I woke up to Tumblr telling me I had 10 messages in my inbox but it was just this one#it nearly gave me a heart attack lol I thought id done something#but instead it was just a nice message and fun question. yippee!

For the 200 Follower, Dogma/Hardcase and either Platonic/QPR or Tattoos, depending on what is or isn't available.
I hope you like this because I had no idea what I was doing lol. I rarely write Dogma and Hardcase, so this was definitely pushing me out of my comfort characters and letting me try something new. Thank you so much @persephoneofhades I had a lot of fun writing this.

Dogma didn’t bother to look up when the door to the barracks opened since so many other troops walked in and out. That was his first mistake. His second was to ignore the ruckus. He didn’t get a chance to make a third.
A piercing war cry startled Dogma, but before he could even look up from his datapad, a heavy weight crashed into his body and nearly knocked him off the other side of his bunk. His datapad disappeared in the ruckus as arms burrowed under him and around him until he was held firmly around his stomach. Dogma wheezed as he tried to get his heart rate to settle—it wasn’t every day he got body-slammed while on his bunk.
It wasn’t difficult to figure out who his attacker was. Only two people really would jump on him like that, and Tup usually asked before sliding onto his bunk with him. Dogma sighed and ran a hand over the freshly shaved scalp, smiling a little as Hardcase hummed and nuzzled against Dogma’s stomach. Really, he should have expected Hardcase to come for cuddles; he loved getting his head scratched after a shave and he always claimed that Dogma gave the best scratches. Dogma didn’t really believe him, but he also wasn’t going to complain. Too much.
“You are too heavy to jump on me like that,” Dogma grumbled.
“And here I thought you liked cuddling with me,” Hardcase pouted. He shifted and propped his chin on Dogma’s stomach so he could attempt his tooka-face again. No matter how many times Dogma, Jesse, Fives, Tup, even Rex told him that he just looked like a constipated bantha when he tried the Kicked Tooka Look, Hardcase did it anyway. He was absolutely convinced that everyone was just messing with him.
To be fair to Hardcase, Fives and Echo had managed to convince him that his back tattoos had been done in hot pink for a full ten day before he’d finally been able to go to 79’s and use their mirror to check his own back. There was a precedence of messing with Hardcase, just a little. In this case, however, Dogma knew that not a single one of them was joking. Hardcase could not look cute and innocently sad like Tup or the one Ghost ARC trooper could.
Dogma shoved Hardcase’s face and couldn’t help the small smile at his enthusiastic giggles. Hardcase spread enthusiasm and joy everywhere he went, and Dogma was certainly not immune to his infectious laugh. That did not stop him from flicking Hardcase’s ear or jabbing his knee into his side on principle. Dogma had a reputation, after all.
“Alright, alright,” Hardcase laughed. “I give!” He settled back down and grinned up at Dogma. “What were you reading this time?”
“Some kind of Mandalorian/Jedi romance thing. It’s ridiculous, but it’s nice learning more mando’a phrases than we already know,” Dogma said. “The plot is weird though?”
Hardcase hummed. One of his arms shifted and Dogma’s datapad reappeared on his chest from somewhere. He didn’t even want to know how Hardcase had managed that one. “Tell me about it? It sounds interesting.”
Dogma couldn’t help but snort. “Interesting is one way to put it, I guess. It honestly kind of reminds me of General Kenobi and Commander Cody if they were in a completely different universe.”
“Or General Secura and Commander Bly?”
He conceded that addition with a nod. “I suppose so. Either way, it’s about a Jedi that gets stranded and a Mandalorian that needs some help.” Dogma talked quietly, telling Hardcase all about this novel he’d found on the holonet and even reading a few of his favorite passages. Throughout the entire explanation, up to the point where he was at in the novel, Hardcase remained attentive, asking questions or making lewd comments about the Jedi’s “lightsaber” that Dogma nearly pushed him off the bunk for. It was nice to have someone listen to him so attentively. Others did too, but with Hardcase it was special. Something that just the two of them shared in the quiet moments when they found themselves sharing a bunk.
It was Dogma’s favorite post-campaign ritual, and one that he would never get tired of.
