me: so in this story I'm writing, the main villain is a tyrannical dictator who has seized power by force and anyone who opposes him is executed or put in a brutal prison. the prison is mostly underground to avoid their allies finding them or breaking them out, and the story's heroes join up with a group of rebels to release the prisoners, many of whom have been trapped underground for years. that's probably not very realistic though
