today i am thinking about how young rick sanchez is
#he was so young when he lost diane and beth... like in the grand scheme of things#it makes me very emotional to know that diane was writing her phd thesis and didnt complete it before she died#like that is so... idk#continuing tertiary education feels like an early stage in life. to know she hadnt moved on from that before she died is Harrowing.#and by extension rick was sort of just trying things out in his garage#like they were both fucked up individuals before rick prime showed up dont get me wrong#but its such a fucked up turning point to happen in a person's life and it happened so early#also#makes me sad to think about how much everything that has happened to rick since then has aged him#also i want to fuck that old man but that old man isnt even the oldest man i have ever wanted to fuck#rick and morty
