Helki compilation
Helki is a prisoner-turned-servant. He’s a criminal canary and was implicitly one of Milsiril’s charges, and now that she’s retired he’s become her servant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He must have gotten into Milsiril’s good graces, wether through attachment or convenience, which is a feat considering Milsiril’s a socially anxious recluse. Interesting since it’s not like he seems like the agreeable type, shifty upbeat delinquent style… We really don’t know much about him, not even what crimes he did, so there’s a lot of space for speculation on all grounds.
Edit: Shanghai QnA with Kui gave us a new juicy morsel of info!
Tumblr media
Interesting… The original answer in japanese is: パッタドルと同じような杖を使っていました。今も同じものを支給されているのですが、すぐになくすのでもはや携帯していないようです。 That it’s written in japanese seems to say that there isn’t the same double translation issue there was last QnA, so if someone wants to look at the original phrasing and word choices it can be done. Perhaps Helki-Milsiril has a more protégé dynamic undertone than previously thought… "For various reasons", meaning circumstances that made it so the squad had to choose between saving him and saving their own skin, or like, "man this guy’s personality sucks we don’t really like him"? Likely to be a mix of several things, since ‘for various reasons’ implies the situation was either complex or they had multiple reasonings. In either case, the phrasing is very much that Milsiril couldn’t abandon him herself, and so a relationship sprung out of that. Another instance of outcasts seeking out and sticking with other outcasts in Dungeon Meshi. This could mean that it’s a bit less out of personal attachment and more out of a sense of duty on Milsiril’s side as well though.
Still edit: So then maybe him staying with Rin in that comic isn’t that much because of work ethics or that he cares for kids (or maybe he does because he feels kinship to them, alone and mistreated), but because he didn’t want to join the other canaries in that room chatting and laughing… Maybe the isolation was exacerbated because he became Milsiril’s favorite, teacher’s pet style, but I’d also be careful about assuming the others disproportionately dislike him, it could be that they just don’t really care for him. Why? Could be because of his personality, because he’s seen as shifty or unreliable or annoying, if an event, who knows who knows, but I like to think because of the Rin comic that he generally just tends to be a loner, that he’s "weird" in a neurodivergent vibe, he doesn’t conform to proper social behavior which in elven society seems especially alienating. He’s the only one with Rin to think of her sake, not only worth observing/caring for but also asks her to eat, but he does this with an offputting stare, not really emoting, and then well, the infamous alone with her staring munching covered in blood panel. He stands out. I’m a fan of the theory that it was a "Helki? Not that I dislike the guy but I’m not risking my skin for him" situation… Ok end edit back to older observations.
He seemed to be acting out of his own initiative in the Rin comic, he doesn’t look thrilled to be there in many post-canary comics but he also seems content enough. He restrains Milsiril in the Mithrun cleaning comic which is interesting to think of for their relationship.
It’s fun to notice how he’s the only one that didn’t get bored of looking after Rin, and then reports back about her condition… I’d say he was getting used to taking care of kids which would come with the job of serving Milsiril, but then, not enough for him to clean the blood off himself hah. In this way it’s interesting to think about his relationship to the idea of parenthood, he’s probably the closest thing to a father figure/male role model Kabru had growing up, without mentioning the other kids. I feel like he’d consider himself an older brother, cousin or uncle figure sooo much sooner than a father, but even then I do think it’s just his job and he’s not really invested or forming real relationships with any of them much.
It’s curious to note that he’s dressed in canary uniform presumably after having been pardoned and living with Milsiril? Which you can tell by the armor bits (the yellow strips of spider silk). In the Kabru training montage and the Rin comic specifically. It seems very implausible for him to have still been a canary while being a retired Milsiril’s servant and being with her all the time, and the cleaning with Mithrun comic (where he’s not in uniform) happens after Utaya so it could happen after Kabru was taken in but around the time of the Rin comic. So why uniform? It could be one of the best outfits he has, so it’d make sense to wear it around especially if you’re sparring or getting… Blood on you? Could just be because that's how Milsiril wants him to dress. But yeah we don't know when exactly Helki becoming Milsiril’s servant happened. We do see Mithrun’s charge Cithis be tasked with taking care of him, so a charge being given a servant-caretaker role doesn’t seem all that out of the ordinary, sometimes even prior to retiring.
Imo, if he doesn't work for Milsiril he goes back to jail/the canaries/has to try and get a job instead of just tending to her, so Helki is staying with Milsiril because she's the best option for him. He’s her milsiril's personal servant and does mostly dull tasks involved in that. He’s not particularly suited to the role but they’ve gotten used to each other to him so she took him with her, and he does prefer it to canary work so it works out decent for him. I think he’s used to reading her and managing her moods and he’s one of the rare social connection she has.
Under spoiler is stage 2 interpretation stuff, bigger speculation, in a reblog I’ll make soon I’ll go over my thoughts for stage 3 interpretation lol. Helsiril I’m coming for you

Hi!! 😆
May I request TFP Yandere Soundwave x human reader?
Thank for reading this (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง✨
Tumblr media
Sorry if it doesn't have that much yandere as you were hoping for.
Okay, so, the only way I can see that you could've gotten his attention is either you're related to one of the three human charges – family or friend. Because of that, you don't know about the Autobots and Decepticons.
Soundwave was given the mission to find out more about the human pets, through humans that are close to them. Out of all of their family and friends, he chose you.
He only went through some of your info, and you're a friend of Miko's host parents that lives in a state up north, in Gravity Falls, Oregon (Yes, I'm making a little crossover with GF, but TFP came out 2 years before Gravity Falls existed, so Weirdmageddon hasn't happened yet, nor have the Pine Twins visited yet.)
You've met Miko a few times when you've came to visit, and it's best to say you don't like how loud, irresponsible, foolish, and doesn't understand people's boundaries. You were a rather quiet introverted person, and she was an overbearing extrovert, so you two didn't mix well.
When it was Christmas last year, they were at your family gathering, and she almost got your cousins hurt with firecrackers, who were mainly toddlers and young children. She even said, quote-unquote, that "They needed to live a little and not have helicopter parents deciding everything for them." The thing was that your aunts and uncles weren't helicopter parents, they were normal, calm, and understanding parents!
Miko was one of the main reasons why you lost faith in humanity, and you despised her with a burning passion. You even told this to her in her face, but she would say that you're just grumpy and should take a nap. As if you were a little child that didn't know better!
You work as an online artist that takes request for people who can't draw certain things like, animals, details, DND characters, Oc's etc.
As time went on, he was starting to get obsessed with learning more about you, and he knows more about you than anyone else you know in your life. Your favorite animal are birds, your favorite color is d/s/f/c (Dark Shade of Favorite Color), you hate people, don't like talking, have a pet European Starling named Jermey, after the crow in the Secret of Nimh because of his love for shiny and sparkly things, who is also the model for your watermarks on your designs, you like dying your hair, and so much more.
You were having a normal day, doing a live stream as you were taking requests from your viewers, when this one person in particular to do a city made out of metal, the people are robots that can transform, and even gave you an image that they "made" that was called Kaon. Interested, you took up this challenge.
It was safe to say that Soundwave wasn't disappointed with the end results of it; It looked magnificent. The image of his home was nostalgic of the good old days of Cybertron, when it wasn't just him and Laserbeak, when all of his children minicons were still alive.
The two of you kept in contact and became friends on the internet. You would tell each other about how your days went; you were told that he works as one of the higher ups in a company, has to deal with an annoying, loud, arrogant assistant of his boss – reminds you of a certain someone –, has a pet bird, is introverted, doesn't talk, doesn't like humanity- you're already hooked.
You turned a blind eye to things, like how he somehow knows where you live, find out about private accounts on social media, knows that you're talking to someone even when there's barely any people around, kind of seeming jealous/overprotective over text. The hardest one to do is when someone insults or steals your art, only to end up severely or lightly wounded somewhere between the next day to the end of the week, saying that a robot version of Slenderman or a metal bird that has an origami themed shape, etc.
There were a few things that caught your attention. How he uses the wrong terminology for things such as units time, parts of the body, even saying organics, fleshies, humans instead of people or others by their names. You were suspicious but brushed it off every time it happens.
At the beginning of Soundwave's his sire growing obsession, Laserbeak didn't even understand what was so great about you. But it changed when he was shot down by Autobots and landed out in the woods, you found him, and repaired him. During his stay, he made friends with Jeremy, and during repairs, you were gentle as you could be when fixing him up, your touched were light, you asked if what you were doing was alright, and he honestly thought of those human films where the mother would help their child when they get an injury. In this situation, he was your the child, and you were his the mother; he understood now.
Knowing Laserbeak's existence was the reason why it was a little hard to turn a blind eye to those that were injured.
When Laserbeak returned, he gave the information to Soundwave, and that's when Soundwave knew that you were the one to complete the family.
When the both of you actually met face-to-face is when you texted him that an ex of yours came back is so persistent on getting back together and won't leave you alone. When it was night, your ex cornered you, and was ranting on and on about how you should be grateful that he's giving you a second chance, even though you were the one to break up with him, only to end up dead on the pavement. You looked up to see Soundwave himself.
The first thought that came to mind didn't revolve around fear. No! It was 'Oh, god, he looks hot-'
So, you were taken aboard the Nemesis, you became a part of the Con Crew. 1.) Because you're close, in a way, to one of the Autobot's human pets; 2.) You hated humans just as much as they did; 3.) It's Soundwave. Megatron trusts him with any decision of his. A reason Soundwave gave, in public? A human to spy on the Autobots- Shut the fuck up random Vehicon, this is a human spy, not Makeshift. This isn't like Starscream's plan.
This happened only a day after Optimus Prime became Orion Pax. Soundwave had a feeling that something might happen, so he had you wear something that will cover up everything, mainly your head/face. He knows the archivist is smart, and if he were to revert back to Optimus, then he would recognize who you are.
Often times, some Vehicons would make comments about a human joining the ranks, or try to get rid of you, and they were met with an electric end.
It was only about a week later, after Orion became Optimus again, when they decided how they were going to get you in their base, and with the help of the newly arrived Dreadwing, they can do just that.
Part 2 coming soon...
So, basically this was a yandere x willing reader. I just hope you're satisfied.

Homebrew Mechanic: Meaningful Research
Being careful about when you deliver information to your party is one of the most difficult challenges a dungeonmaster may face, a balancing act that we constantly have to tweak as it affects the pacing of our campaigns.
That said, unlike a novel or movie or videogame where the writers can carefully mete out exposition at just the right time, we dungeonmasters have to deal with the fact that at any time (though usually not without prompting) our players are going to want answers about what's ACTUALLY going on, and they're going to take steps to find out.
To that end I'm going to offer up a few solutions to a problem I've seen pop up time and time again, where the heroes have gone to all the trouble to get themselves into a great repository of knowledge and end up rolling what seems like endless knowledge checks to find out what they probably already know. This has been largely inspired by my own experience but may have been influenced by watching what felt like several episodes worth of the critical role gang hitting the books and getting nothing in return.
I've got a whole write up on loredumps, and the best way to dripfeed information to the party, but this post is specifically for the point where a party has gained access to a supposed repository of lore and are then left twiddling their thumbs while the dm decides how much of the metaplot they're going to parcel out.
When the party gets to the library you need to ask yourself: Is the information there to be found?
No, I don't want them to know yet: Welcome them into the library and then save everyone some time by saying that after a few days of searching it’s become obvious the answers they seek aren’t here. Most vitally, you then either need to give them a new lead on where the information might be found, or present the development of another plot thread (new or old) so they can jump on something else without losing momentum.
No, I want them to have to work for it:  your players have suddenly given you a free “insert plothook here” opportunity. Send them in whichever direction you like, so long as they have to overcome great challenge to get there. This is technically just kicking the can down the road, but you can use that time to have important plot/character beats happen.
Yes, but I don’t want to give away the whole picture just yet:  The great thing about libraries is that they’re full of books, which are written by people,  who are famously bad at keeping their facts straight. Today we live in a world of objective or at least peer reviewed information but the facts in any texts your party are going to stumble across are going to be distorted by bias. This gives you the chance to give them the awnsers they want mixed in with a bunch of red herrings and misdirections. ( See the section below for ideas)
Yes, they just need to dig for it:  This is the option to pick if you're willing to give your party information upfront while at the same time making it SEEM like they're overcoming the odds . Consider having an encounter, or using my minigame system to represent their efforts at looking for needles in the lithographic haystack. Failure at this system results in one of the previous two options ( mixed information, or the need to go elsewhere), where as success gets them the info dump they so clearly crave.
The Art of obscuring knowledge AKA Plato’s allegory of the cave, but in reverse
One of the handiest tools in learning to deliver the right information at the right time is a sort of “slow release exposition” where you wrap a fragment lore the party vitally needs to know in a coating of irrelevant information,  which forces them to conjecture on possibilities and draw their own conclusions.  Once they have two or more pieces on the same subject they can begin to compare and contrast, forming an understanding that is merely the shadow of the truth but strong enough to operate off of.
As someone who majored in history let me share some of my favourite ways I’ve had to dig for information, in the hopes that you’ll be able to use it to function your players.
A highly personal record in the relevant information is interpreted through a personal lens to the point where they can only see the information in question
Important information cameos in the background of an unrelated historical account
The information can only be inferred from dry as hell accounts or census information. Cross reference with accounts of major historical events to get a better picture, but everything we need to know has been flattened into datapoints useful to the bureaucracy and needs to be re-extrapolated.
The original work was lost, and we only have this work alluding to it. Bonus points if the existent work is notably parodying the original, or is an attempt to discredit it.
Part of a larger chain of correspondence, referring to something the writers both experienced first hand and so had no reason to describe in detail.
The storage medium (scroll, tablet, arcane data crystal) is damaged in some way, leading to only bits of information being known.
Original witnesses Didn’t have the words to describe the thing or events in question and so used references from their own environment and culture. Alternatively, they had specific words but those have been bastardized by rough translations.
Tremendously based towards a historical figure/ideology/religion to the point that all facts in the piece are questionable.  Bonus points if its part of a treatise on an observably untrue fact IE the flatness of earth

Bad Batch Season 3 Episode Title Predictions
Okay, so I've poked at the trailer enough that I think I can do a series of predictions that is likely to topple like a house of cards immediately but hey what else is this month of waiting for? Here is my very rough outline of what I'd love to see in season 3 based on nothing but the trailer and Vibes.
Episodes 1-3, "Confined" "Paths Unknown" & "Shadows of Tantiss"
These three seem pretty obvious, we'll likely catch up with Omega and Crosshair first in Confined, which is likely where we'll see these clips from the trailer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As well as probably the (SAD AS HELL) discussion between Omega and Crosshair shown in the Celebrations trailer. Mix their scenes in with catching up on Hunter, Wrecker, & Echo - I'm actually really attached to the idea that Echo is searching for Tech, having not given up on him. This also parallels to Omega talking to Crosshair, about not giving up - I think that's going to be a theme this season. Can't run away, can't give up. But if Echo is searching for Tech then it might just be Hunter and Wrecker right now, likely giving us a few of their action shots together.
I do think that Omega and Crosshair's escape attempt is going to be relatively early in the season - either at the end of Paths Unknown or the very beginning of Shadows of Tantiss. I went into it more in this post and paired up a few shots of Tantiss' defense systems as well as the crashed ship with Omega and Crosshair. From the look of it, they likely don't make it off planet due to the damage and crash land and have to try to escape and, in the process, are split up and lose each other. Possibly they are able to contact the batch, who are on the way to try and get them when things go wrong.
My guess is that by the end of this three parter we'll have Crosshair reunited with the batch, or about to be, Omega on her own trying to evade Hemlock and his men, and somewhere along the line our reveal that Tech is alive because at this point I can't see them not aiming at a comeback with how hard they're trying to keep his 'death' on all our minds.
Episode 4 - "A Different Approach"
If Crosshair didn't meet up with the batch by the end of the previous three, then probably he does it here, I just get the sense that he's been gone for so long that we need to get him zipped up with the others early in the season, especially since we'll have several reunions to get to by the end of the series.
With Omega still separated but hopefully out of Tantiss at this point, they have to adjust how they plan to find her. She's now a moving target, because she's on the run still and likely unable to contact them. Echo will meet back up with them here, I think, maybe with info on wherever Tech is (my prediction: still on Eriadu in some fashion, either held with the good old pirates & smugglers or possibly by Tarkin himself, but I'm hoping the pirates & smugglers) and Rex will likely come too. I do think that they have their exchange about losing brothers here but rather than being about Tech, as the trailer implied, it's about Nemec or Fireball (or both) who possibly died getting the information. I just feel like those two are not long for this world, unfortunately.
We'll also follow Omega here, now completely alone for the first time. Previously she always had the batch, then she at the very least had Crosshair. Now she has neither and she has to try and figure out what to do. The title does dual work here, both the batch and Omega have to find a different approach in order to try and reunite.
Episode 5 - "The Return"
I feel like this is going to be a mostly Omega centered episode. Where is she returning to is the question, I still think that this refers to a place rather than a person returning. Pet theory - Cid put out several bounties on her to try and get her tracked down and rescued and she gets a blast from the past when she's grabbed by Bane a second time and taken to Ord Mantell. She of course is Not trusting Grandma Crimes anymore, but Cid is trying to redeem herself and fix what she broke.
While this is going on, the parallel return is the batch getting to Eriadu in order to set up the two parter.
Episode 6 & 7 - "Infiltration" & "Extraction
With the batch set up, they're ready to go get Tech from wherever he's been stuck! These two are likely more action oriented, with a little bit of Difficulty between Crosshair and the others after so long apart, but they find their footing well enough and begin to work together in order to get Tech out. They're 5/6ths of the way to a full family, they just have one more to get a hold of!
Episode 8 - "Bad Territory"
Getting fully into Pet Theories here but I think that this shot from the trailer
Tumblr media
is Batuu - going mostly from the distinctive looking spires here. Another possible Omega focused episode, Cid is taking her to Batuu to cash in a favor. Not one owed to her - one owed to Omega, by Roland Durand. (LISTEN HERE'S HOW INFESTED BEING RELEVANT CAN STILL WIN-)
Anyway the focus here is on Roland trying to link her up with the batch. This might be a good place for Fennec to make her reappearance too, working from the Batch's end.
Episode 9 - "The Harbinger"
I'll be real I have no idea, my ideas started getting thin right about here, but I will say the title sounds like a great place for Ventress and the Teth monastery to make their appearance (I'm assuming they'll be together) but how they would actually play into the plot if they appeared here is unclear. I do think that we'll finally get everyone together though or at least be on our way to it, in order to bring us to our next two parter.
Episode 10 & 11 - "Identity Crisis" & "Point of No Return
The team is back together and all is not well, because everyone is still suffering a severe case of the Issues. No one can agree on what to do, where to go, with the identity crisis being the batch unsure of how to move forward together. Omega of course gets immediately stressed out by it all because it seems like she finally got her family back together only for it to immediately start falling apart. Wrecker is probably right there with her. Tech & Phee have their moment together, Echo still thinks they need to fight and I think that Crosshair is going to tend towards that too. Hunter at least absolutely wants to retire to Pabu right now immediately, but as the show has been trying to demonstrate, avoiding things won't be an option because-
Point of No Return is the dreaded invasion of Pabu. The Empire followed them here in order to retrieve Omega, and they barely escape, evacuating as many of Pabu's residents as possible. Shep doesn't make it out and is imprisoned.
Episode 12 - "Juggernaut"
This is where like a full quarter of the trailer comes from because they can show us several exterior tank shots without showing who's in the damn tank. I think the point of this one will be to get Shep back, since it does look like him that Wrecker is carrying. We know that Crosshair, Hunter, and Wrecker at a minimum will go in, but I think likely Omega and Echo are there (likely together thus being why we don't see much of Echo in the trailer) and Tech might be with Phee.
Episodes 13-15 - "Into the Breach" "Flash Strike" "The Calvary Has Arrived"
Grouping these three together because I have no idea what happens here except that we're likely going to be mounting an attack to take down Hemlock and, hopefully, free all of the clones that he's been experimenting on. The time for hiding is over, they have to take a stand against the Empire. Not because they're soldiers, but because they're a family, and the other clones are still their brothers.
For the first time, we don't leave our own behind can get followed and they're going in.
The Calvary Has Arrived is not a title I can see going dark to be quite honest, it's more of a full circle moment, it's the Batch becoming who they're meant to be, a family that fights for each other and for the other clones, I will cling to the idea of a happy ending (hopefully one that sets up a continuation that might focus more on Rex and his clone rebellion) until it's ripped from my cold dead hands thank you very much. I think that after the family has spent two seasons absolutely torn apart, becoming increasingly fractured, the best ending is one that has them finally united, all six of them, for the first time.
Like Omega said. They're more than soldiers. They're a family.

TLB - Halloween costumes - Headcanon
Tumblr media
warning : fluff, mention of smutish activities
masterlist
Info : Here is a little something for Halloween if I have enough time and motivation then I will write four smut One-Shots for them or other forms of smut because who would not wanna get a little steamy with them on Halloween.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
David: Jackyl and Hyde. I think he would have been fascinated by the relationship of the two characters living in one body since the story was first printed and he held it in his hands. Almost like himself. The outer appearance of a human and the inside of a monster. In addition, he liked the idea to have a cool appearance and to bring unscathed people un. So it was that Halloween also came upon Santa Carla and he knew exactly what he would go as. Even if he stole clothes like his brothers from the shops here and there, the end result was something to behold. He found that the walking stick that had been in his hand for hours suited him even better. The black top hat on his head and the somewhat wider shirt. It was a mix like from past time a past jahundert and nevertheless it stood to him. Above all, he used the walking stick for everything. No matter whether to point at something, to give his brothers instructions or beating his victims to death. But most of all he used the border between man and monster. Knew that his love found him attractive in the for her ancient outfit. She had dressed especially for him her long wide dress, the feathery ruffles and the tenderness that lay on it. It awakened his Hyde in him, so to speak. He could hardly keep his hands off her, the thought of ruining her as a monster, of just taking her and hunting her down. A thought that said more to the vampire than it should. Even if it was hardly different without Halloween. He would scare her either way. But if at night in Santa Carla the pumpkins shine the three vampires are on the hunt so it was David and Hyde who chased in the cave of his bride. Tearing the wide chaste dress with his claws and claiming her all for himself while the blood red moon shone on her on Halloween.
Tumblr media
Dwayne : The mummy. Tall, silent and old. The black haired one of the group almost had a little weakness for old stories. Any kind and of any culture but the ancient Egypt had done it to him especially. The thought of ruling over a country as a pharaoh, the gods, the many subjects. The sun. But also his love to serve as a pharaoh or to rule together over the desert did not miss him completely. Not only to read this lady to the small vampire again and again new miracles and dreams thus to give but also for his love. He knew that she had a weakness for his stories when they cuddled together in the cave he held her in his arms and listened to her calm heartbeat while she listened to his words. Which is why it was almost a routine for the black-haired man to always read new books. To look for new stories and in the weeks and months that passed Halloween also came. Which is why there was only one option for the big vampire. He would go as a mummy. But not like the kids with boring toilet paper which was rather disturbing. No Dwayne created his outfit from bright leather old golden wrestlers and several bright zererrisenene shirts. In addition, he picked out his best jewelry and even made up his eyes slightly dark. Before the end in front of his heart stood a real mummy. Besides the somewhat revealing varinate, he still had fun because the cold of the evening does not bother him. The best thing about his costume besides the fact that his heart looked at him all the time like a piece of candy. Was that in the deepest night he could use his leather to restrict his pharaoh a little in her movement. She contemplated while the moonlight fell on her before he surrendered to her commands. Like a good mummy.
Tumblr media
Paul : The Invisible Man. Movies were his favorite pastime besides killing Nazis and spreading happiness. Especially when the movies fit the season. Christmas movies in December, romances and comedies in summer and most of all horror movies in autumn, especially on Halloween. When all Santa Carla gathered for the car cinema and watched old horror classics together the boys on their motorcycles were always very proud. Even though it always ended with them in fits of laughter that they had met most of the actors personally. But when this year Halloween was on again, the blonde faced a small costume crisis. Too many choices and too many possibilities. Possibilities of unfolding he had costumes procured fabric and clothing. He got help from the other vampires who were working on their costumes and ended up with so many that the cave almost overflowed. Much to the sorrow of the others and his love that had to be rescued more than once from the mountain of costumes. In the end it was the black classic Invisible Man in the drive-in that gave the blond an idea. Throwing his costumes aside he took a simple suit and a pair of matching sunglasses before disappearing into the shadows. Knowing that his heart had dressed itself in the same clothes, distinguished and yet mysterious. But the best thing was that he remained faithful to his model. As an invisible man, he turned in the shadows, invisible to the unsuspecting people, and loved to tease his love. To take away one piece of clothing after the other. To give her a kiss and then disappear again. To tease her, to see how far he could go and feel how much more he could enjoy the game. Before he jumped up and pulled her into the shadows. And there they spent the endless night.
Tumblr media
Marko : Werewolf. Marko's favorite day of the year besides the beginning of the vacations which only made more people come to Santa Carla was Halloween. The day of the year when he was almost allowed to be a monster. To transform and walk around with his "disguise" like the man in the wolf coat. It was a time when an infinite amount of blood flowed from bottles, candy and bodies of his victims and his brothers. It was the time of the year when his instincts seemed to be all the stronger. It was perfect. Above all, he loved to participate in the annual fright contest and there was never a time when he lost. He always had the bloodiest and darkest of them all. Once even several had fainted something that had made him grin. But this year, he knew he wanted to do something different, a bigger bloodbath, to finally fully indulge his nature. Which is why he knew exactly what he wanted to be and would be. With a few quick hangrifts and several hunted animals, the vampire had brought a few almost too real looking ears to his head as well as a few torn pieces of clothing with a little too warm fresh blood. But not only did he manage to get the first place again also his love took a liking to her werewolf. She teased him at first and even gave him a collar for fun. But as soon as the moon showed up on Halloween so it was clear to him that a werewolf also had to look for a prey. Which is why the night became a hunt between them. He chased her through the city, she ran away from him laughing, but he knew that as soon as he had her he would claim her. The night belonged to him and he took her with his senses. More and more of her wanted. But as soon as his paws touched her body, it was over for both of them. One says that in this night even a werewolf howled.
__
Ayano had been acquaintanced with Kizana before. She whined a lot, complained a lot, but still was one of the most organized clubs in Akademi. The mix between people who liked her was cut 9% of people who genuinely liked her, and 90% of people who didn’t like her but feared her. Ayano was likely the 1% who didn't care either way.
Info-Chan hadn’t explained what else Ayano had to do regarding the gyaru’s tasks. All she claimed was that it would come in handy later. Additionally, Info-Chan suggested possibly getting a job. If not for more money, then to earn a reputation around town. Ayano didn’t understand what good that would really do, but rationalized that more money was always worth the effort.
Not that that mattered at the moment. What mattered was Kizana’s suspicious sudden interest in Taro. Truthfully, Ayano never imagined that Kizana could even be a problem. Kizana was pretty high in the popularity ranks and Taro was on a more humble scale. Not to mention she already had several students slaving after her. What could she possibly want Taro for?
That’s what Ayano hoped to find out, though, while she stood around a corner, trying her best to listen to the conversation that Kizana and Taro were having in front of the Drama Club room. From afar it seemed far too cozy for Ayano’s liking.
Kizana chuckles proudly, not surprised at all at Taro’s wish to get into the club. “Of course, I’ve seen you hovering around! Twas only a matter of time before you got the courage to approach me!” She looks back briefly to Tsuruzo, who was accompanying her throughout the day to help her properly prepare for the play. “Us.” She corrects herself, flipping one of her drilled ponytails over her shoulder.
Tsuruzo seems happy with her correction, although he doesn’t bring himself to speak just yet. Whenever a new member wanted to join, he usually left it to Kizana to do the introduction and decision-making , unless it was the case of just three weeks prior, where she was absent for a time.
“Right.” Taro chuckles lightly, seeming a bit hesitant to be interacting with someone as bumptious as Kizana. That was natural considering how quiet Taro usually was. “I’m… Well, I’m not 100% sure on joining just yet, but I was wondering if I could… I guess volunteer to help with the play this week? Maybe get some acting tips..?” He continues, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, which Kizana seems to notice. “I’ve been… interested in acting for a while.”
“Hm.” Kizana raises a hand to her chin, nonchalantly circling Taro, which visibly makes him more nervous. Before he could stutter out some other sort of response, she smiles and leans herself on his shoulder. “Oh, of course you can volunteer! It’s really just an extra hand, isn’t it? And I’m not held responsible for whatever you screw up!” She says cheerfully, booping his nose despite her last comment.
Ayano scowls at the physical contact at all, but keeps herself quiet and still so as to not be noticed by the three. As she listens in, Info-Chan suddenly texts her.
Info-Chan: You should volunteer, too.
Info-Chan: The club already likes you generally speaking, so you should try your best to get into Kizana’s good graces by working with her.
Ayano pauses in thought, and decides that that’s a pretty good idea. The only two in the club currently that don't have any significant opinion about Ayano are both Shozo and Kizana, although Kizana does have good words about her from Tsuruzo. Maybe Shozo should be someone she tries to get closer to as well..
Ayano’s thoughts are interrupted as a familiar voice calls to her.
“Good morning, Ayano.” Taro greets briefly, smiling and waving to her as he walks by.
Rather than responding in any way, Ayano just freezes in place. Her face suddenly felt incredibly hot, and Taro wasn’t even nearby any more. It was thrilling whenever Taro noticed her, but it happened so out of the blue and remained so brief. If only Ayano could figure out a way to function like any human being whenever Taro was around.
Suddenly, Ayano hears someone else call to her. “Ayano! It’s always a pleasure to see you.” Tsuruzo beams at her. He likely noticed her when Taro greeted her. “Your help last week is so incredibly appreciated.” He leans in slightly, saying in a lower tone. “I don’t think I’d ever admit this to Kizana, but we were quite behind before we received your help.”
Before Ayano could respond, a sharp clear of the throat was heard behind Tsuruzo. “Ahem.” It was Kizana, who looked somewhat skeptically at Tsuruzo and Ayano, although Ayano couldn’t place why. “We have errands to run, Tsuruzo. I fear this will be quite the full week.” She sighs, looking exhausted before even having gotten started.
Tsuruzo smiles at Kizana, stepping back to stand beside her. “I’ve no doubt that this week will go exactly as planned, Kizana.” He assures her, which she visibly appreciates with a light smile.
“Hmph. Well, I suppose it’s only right that I take your word for it.” Kizana claims, her cheeks growing slightly pink as she tosses her hair over her shoulder again.
This time, Ayano speaks up. “Actually, I wanted to know if I could continue running errands for your club.” She says, looking between the two leaders. “I think I could learn some valuable information, and I have nothing but time right now.”
“Hmm.” Kizana raised her hand up to her chin yet again, although her expression looked more disapproving and suspicious than the look she gave Taro. Part of Ayano wondered if Kizana simply disliked her. She seemed to like her when they first met, so what would have changed?
Kizana looked to Tsuruzo for insight, who seemed quite enthusiastic about the idea based on his bright smile. She pauses in thought before sighing. “Oh, alright.” She points a finger to Ayano. “You’ll stick with me and help me run errands. Tsuruzo, if you could please deal with the Taro boy?”
Tsuruzo nods, happy to help. “Of course. See you during lunch.” He waves to both Kizana and Ayano before turning to trail after wherever Taro had gone.
As soon as he leaves, Kizana’s suspicious expression returns as she looks at Ayano. “Yan-Chan, was it? What’s your type?” She asks immediately, shocking Ayano slightly.
“Um.. type? You mean… romantically?” Ayano asks, receiving a stiff nod from Kizana as the drama club leader folded her arms.
“Well…” Ayano hesitates. “I-I can’t say I have a type. I do prefer, um… simpler, more average-looking people? I..think. Why do you ask?” Ayano was really just trying to use whatever Info-Chan had used to explain Taro, but if Ayano were to honestly explain Taro, it would be in a far more starstruck way.
Kizana didn’t seem satisfied with that answer, but ignored her own thoughts to continue with their task at hand. “Well, anyway, let’s head to the auditorium, we’ve things to do.” She sighs, walking ahead without waiting for Ayano to catch up.
__
As the two entered the auditorium, Ayano took in just how much effort was being put into making the area look nice. The art club was scattered around, hanging up decorations while the flower club helped to put up the many, many roses they’d been growing over the past few months.
Floral decorations had been put all around. Even arches had been put up around every exit and entry, and large plants had been set up on the balcony to hang over and give a fancy, whimsical look. On the balcony, Sumire was walking around and watering the flowers that were hanging over the sides. She spotted Kizana and immediately leaned over.
“Hey, Kizana! Uekiya wants to know if the morning glories are too long!” She calls, nearly falling off the side but quickly catching herself.
Kizana doesn’t comment on that possible near-death experience and looks around at the hanging flowers, which were apparently morning glories. “I want the longer ones to be over the door way, and I want them just a few inches shorter on every one of the other ones.” She pauses before adding, “Aren’t these a bit… leafy? There are hardly any flowers!”
“Well, yeah, but the more flower-y purple flowers like clematis and wisteria are poisonous to humans, so there’s no way we could hang those around!” Sumire explained, leaning onto the railing and proceeding to almost drop her watering can.
Kizana again ignores that possible injury and sighs. “Ugh, of course. My luck is dreadful..” She sighs dramatically, leaving Sumire with a somewhat awkward expression.
“Okay, well… Scilla!” Sumire calls to the male, who was carrying another pot of flowers inside the auditorium. He looks up to her in question.
Sumire points to one of the many hanging plants. “Do you think you can cut any plant that isn’t hanging over a doorway maybe three to five inches up?” She then drags her finger over to a bucket sitting near one of the exits. “And then put them in that bucket!”
Scilla nods, placing the pot of flowers down and then pulling his favorite pair of scissors out of the pocket of his gardening apron. Ayano was unsure why he was allowed to carry that around, especially considering how many accidents have been caused because of it.
Ayano turns around, realizing that Kizana had quickly left without her, and rushes to follow her. Behind the stage, Kokona was sitting in a chair, rehearsing lines as Riku worked on one of the lights, which they had apparently taken down from the ceiling of the stage.
Kokona sighs, leaning on one of the tables next to Riku. She looks at her script. “I’m just not sure what’s wrong. I feel like my voice right now is… okay, but it’s missing something. Or, maybe I’m just… doing it all wrong? I can’t place it..”
Riku hums lightly, seeming to finish something in the light before looking up to Kokona with a smile. “Perhaps it’s because you’re mocking another narrator?” He looks back down to the light and continues working with a screwdriver. “You usually make your voice more deep and dramatic, which leads me to believe that you’re trying to sound like someone else when you narrate.”
“I-I do? Well, I guess I knew that, but I thought it was theatrical..” Kokona claims bashfully, tilting her head as she looks at the script.
“Well, Kokona always has had an ugly habit of copying others.” Kizana claims with a huff, making her presence known in her regular unnecessary manner.
“I..” Kokona starts, but doesn’t really have much to retort with that Kizana hasn’t already heard.
Riku sighs, shaking his head disapprovingly at Kizana. “It’s admiration, Kizana. If you lent Kokona a hand with her hairstyles then she’d likely be able to find a hairstyle that looked a little less than your own.” He claims. He moved aside a pile of screws and pulled a piece of the light off, looking to see what exactly could be changed to somehow fix it.
Kizana rolls her eyes. “Oh, come on. Everyone knows how to function a basic set of pigtails. A ponytail? A bun? It doesn’t have to- are you repairing the light?” She asks, looking shocked at that find.
“Yes. I was doing a light check to see if everything worked, but this one shone strangely.” Riku explained, tapping the piece he had pulled off. “This one looks badly dented, so I might have to try to find a tool in the workshop to help bend it back into shape.”
Kizana raises her eyebrows. “Is that right? That’s impressive, you’ve never told me about your hardware skills.”
Riku shrugs with a light hum. “We’ve never had a busted light. It must have dented the last time it fell from the bars.” He guesses, piquing Ayano’s interest.
“How did it fall?” Ayano asks, probing Kokona to smile and wave at her happily. She gave a brief wave back.
“I’m pretty sure it was just old. We aren’t allowed to buy any items until next Monday, so we won’t be able to repair it properly just yet.” Riku says, setting the piece of metal aside and standing up from his chair. “Ah.. I think I’m going to go check the other lights, just to be sure. It’d be dreadful if any of them were to fall on someone.” He sighs, the thought alone chilling.
Chilling to him, at least. It sounded outstanding to Ayano. If it could fall on Kizana, that would be lovely. Then Taro would have no reason to join the Drama Club, and he would no longer have an admirer or a reason to get close to anyone in the club. That sounds perfect to Ayano, in fact. She wondered how she would go about that scheme.
Kizana clears her throat out sharply, giving Ayano another suspicious look and follows her gaze to where Riku had just left. She didn’t comment on it, though, and simply went onto the matter at hand. “We can move onto checking on Shozo and his affairs now.” She claims, turning her gaze to Kokona. “I think your narration is fine for the play, Kokona, so don’t waste time doubting yourself. It’ll hold off my performance and make you more susceptible to pimples. You know this.” She hisses.
Ayano couldn’t figure out if that was Kizana attempting to be nice, but she knew that it was likely that the compliment backfired immediately as it was followed by complaining. Regardless of Kizana’s intentions, Ayano quickly followed the drama club leader out of the auditorium as they headed towards the gardening club.
__
Uekiya was busy picking seeds from flowers that seemed to have been cut previously by Scilla. She was sitting on her knees on the ground, picking up cut vines and flowers from one bucket, and then separating the seeds and leftover foliage into two other buckets. Nearby, Shozo was standing and looking at several other pots of flowers, a clipboard and pen in his hand. He seemed to be counting the amounts of plants and writing the information down.
Tucked away in a corner, Ayano hadn’t even noticed him, Geiju was sitting in a chair with an art book resting on his leg. He seemed to notice Ayano and Kizana enter the garden first and immediately stood up. Flipping to a certain page, Geiju approached Kizana and lifted up his art book, revealing several shades of certain colors like red and purple pasted onto the book.
Kizana notices him approach and lifts an eyebrow at his gesture. She stares at the open page for a moment before she looks up at him, unamused. “I know you don’t talk much, but you still talk. Use your two words.” She huffs, crossing her arms.
Geiju’s eyebrows lowered, looking equally displeased at her response. “Pick some.” He holds his pencil out to her and points to the colors. “For decoration.”
“Decoration..? Hmm…” Kizana furrows her eyebrows in thought, plucking the pen from Geiju’s hand and pulling a hand up to her chin in thought. Their interaction seems to grab the attention of Uekiya, who stands up to greet them.
“Ladies!” Uekiya beams at the two, brushing her gloves off on her gardener’s apron. “I take it you’re looking for all the details for the decorative flowers? We’ve got the flowers for the show set aside still growing so that they’re fresh once the big day comes.” She explains, giving Ayano a brief closed-eye smile as a greeting.
Kizana circles a couple colors on Geiju’s book but turns to Uekiya with a nod. “That’s right. I see you’ve grown plenty of roses.” She looks at the corner of the garden that had been specifically cared for and dedicated for Friday. It took up nearly a full fourth of the garden due to the sheer amount of rose bushes held inside. “It seems a bit excessive, don’t you think? How am I going to use all of these? Too many flowers could be a slipping hazard, you know!”
Uekiya chuckles wryly, but nods. “I agree. I was actually going to ask you about the amount specifically. Leftover flowers are really no problem, but I wanted to know where exactly we would have to gather them. And if it would be now or later.” She waves Shozo over and points to his clipboard. “I personally recommend later just for the sake of keeping everything fresh, but we do have plenty to spare, so hypothetically we could cut a few roses and then place them in a few areas for the day, see how they feel, and then decide on something special for Friday? Just so we don’t spend all day picking different patterns to put them in.”
“Hmm, well…” Kizana allows herself to look back over to Geiju’s art book as she thinks, successfully picking which colors she would like for what while directing Uekiya what to do with certain plants.
Ayano watched her jump between the two of them, before she dragged her gaze over to Shozo. The male in question seemed to have noticed something on his clipboard. With furrowed eyebrows, he scribbled something onto the clipboard with a frustrated frown. Seeing this as a chance to be helpful, she walked closer to Shozo.
“Hello, Shozo. Is something the matter?” Ayano asks, folding her hands in front of her lap with a curious expression. She wasn’t yet sure what sort of company Shozo preferred, so she couldn’t pull up a particular persona just yet.
Shozo nodded as a greeting, but his frown deepened at the question. “Yeah. Just a mistake, really.” He explains briefly, but after seeing Ayano’s curious expression, he decided to explain further. “Well… In return for the gardening club using their funds and resources to get us so many flowers for decoration, we were going to offer some of our funds in order to get them more important resources like fertilizer. Unfortunately, I misread the count of how much they needed and now they have less than we promised. We won’t be able to get any more in until next week, which is really inconvenient for them.”
Ayano frowns as well, trying her best to seem sympathetic. “That’s unfortunate. How many bags are you missing?” She asks. Her plan was to buy the bags for him, and she was wondering if she could afford it at all.
Although he looked confused as to why Ayano was asking at all, Shozo did eventually respond. “Six bags.” He says, “It probably doesn’t sound like much, but that’s 60 pounds Uekiya’s missing for the plants that we’re asking her to grow for us. And she’s going all out, even with the limited supply.” He looks a bit disappointed in himself at the mistake he’s made, but doesn’t go into it.
“I take it, it's not an option to just have someone else buy it?” Ayano asks, raising a hand to her chin in thought.
“For $120? We’d rather leave that amount for the school funds.” Shozo grins slightly, but it’s only to give a mocking scoff. “It’s not like many of us in the club have the best income from our personal lives. Whatever Kokona and Tokuko make are meant to be saved for their own personal reasons, Tsuruzo doesn’t make enough to spend on the club, I don’t even have a job, Riku’s parents don’t let him spend money on school activities, and Kizana..?”
Shozo looked over to the purple-haired girl in question as she seemed to finish up her conversation with the two club leaders. “...I mean, she is one of the richest students in the school, but she was against paying Uekiya at all. From her perspective, she was asking Uekiya to do something she loved for her using the school’s funds.”
“I see. I guess the odds are just stacked against you right now.” Ayano says, shaking her head, “Sorry to hear that.”
Shozo’s expression lightens up a bit at the sympathy and he shrugs a bit. “Snags like this happen. It’s nothing out of the ordinary.” He pauses, before nodding at Ayano, “I… appreciate the sympathy, though.”
A sharp snap of Kizana’s fingers snatches Ayano’s attention. “We’re done here, Ayano.” She claims, not waiting for Ayano to respond before leaving the area.
Ayano nods as a goodbye to the three other students, before quickly following her.
__
As the two walk, Kizana remains silent, outside of occasional responses to greetings. For some reason, Kizana seemed a tad bit stiff- or at least far more from when the two had first met. Perhaps those first encounters were just for the sake of flattery, and now she had no reason to show such politeness? That would definitely emphasize how bad of a choice she was for Taro.
Ayano’s phone buzzes, and she sees that Info-Chan has left her a bit of free information on Kizana.
Info-Chan: I see you have your eye on Kizana! ;D
Info-Chan: Thankfully, I can give you all the information you need to confirm your suspicions!
Ayano’s brows furrow as she reads the information given to her. It was already somewhat obvious that Kizana liked attention, but she didn’t know that she had a full-on crush on Taro. That explained her spontaneous interest.
Yan-Chan: So she does have a crush on him?
Info-Chan: That’s what I said :)
Info-Chan: The better question is, what are you going to do about it?
Pausing in thought, Ayano thinks. What could she do? More likely than not, Kizana is going to spend most of her time around others planning and practicing for the play. Maybe there was a way to get closer to her so she could convince her to come somewhere private. But even so…
Ayano looks up to Kizana’s back as the club leader walks as prim as ever. As she stared, she wondered how exactly she would get close to Kizana considering the kind of person she is. Doing favors was a start, but she needed to prove to Kizana that she was more than just a servant girl. But how?
As Ayano repeated the exact same question to herself over and over again in an attempt to think, Kizana’s phone suddenly rang. Kizana sighs, seeming somewhat stressed and unwilling to answer a call at the moment. Still, as she looked at the called ID, she seemed to relax, and almost seem a bit brighter after seeing whoever it was.
Kizana looks at Ayano and points a finger to her. “You stay here. We still have things to do.” She says, leaving Ayano at the entrance of the school as she walks back outside to take the call. She didn’t go too far, and her loud voice was clear enough for Ayano to hear if she took a few steps closer.
“Hello, mother! How are y..you… huh?” Kizana’s bright answer immediately dwindled down into a confused mumbled as the other person on the phone- her mother- speaks. After a second, Kizana nods, “Well, yes, I understand. Did… something bad happen..?” She asks hesitantly, raising a hand to her chest. Her demeanor immediately shrunk from confident to deathly worried just by whatever her mother had said.
Suddenly, Kizana nearly screeches, “Wh-What?! But- But I…” She pauses for another moment, allowing her mother to speak, before her voice escalates further. “..I-I know, I- I believed that would be a choice, but… I… I have- I have everything I could want here, mom, I don’t–” After another response from her mother, Kizana quiets down significantly, “...but I don’t want to. Why take such drastic measures..? I–”
Once again, Kizana is cut off, and for a few moments, her responses are nothing short of weak hums and quiet, reluctant confirmations. “I…I understand…” She mutters, hanging her head in defeat. After another mumble, she hangs up, looking down at her phone.
Kizana sighs first, before raising a hand to massage her temple with a long groan. “Perfect…” She hisses to herself.
Ayano takes this time to return to her spot and look away from Kizana, appearing as nonchalant and uninformed as possible. Kizana eventually strides back, looking practically the same outside of a more harsh gaze. “Come.” She demands simply, once again walking ahead without bothering to wait for Ayano’s reply. Bad mood or not, this proved that Kizana really just was this type of person. Not that Ayano minded. More fuel to use against her, she rationalized.
Again, Info-Chan texted Ayano.
Info-Chan: Look at you! Learning and stuff :3
Info-Chan: Now you should keep an eye on whoever seems closest to Kizana, see if she’ll speak to them about whatever her distress is about.
Yan-Chan: Right.
Yan-Chan: I feel as though Tsuruzo might be that person in Kizana’s case.
Yan-Chan: I’ll keep an extra close eye on him.
Info-Chan: As you should!
Info-Chan: And here’s your last tip of the day-
Info-Chan: Study biology and physical ed in all of your free time!
Info-Chan: You’re sincerely going to need it ^^
__
“Thanks for showing me around, Tsuruzo! It definitely seems like joining the Drama Club would be a good idea. Still, I think I’ll stick to volunteering for now.” Taro says, smiling at the taller male.
Tsuruzo nods reassuringly. “Don’t you worry! You wouldn’t be the first. Still, you’ve expressed the most interest in this club out of anyone, and Kizana seems to have very high hopes for you.” He chuckles confidently, “I’m sure we can find a way to fit you comfortably in the club.”
Tsuruzo immediately spotted Kizana from across the hall, and led Taro over to her. “Hello, Kizana.” He looks around briefly, realizing that Ayano was no longer with her. “Where might Ayano be?”
Kizana huffs, although Tsuruzo couldn’t place what exactly that exasperated action was directed to. The purple-haired girl tossed one of her drilled pigtails over her shoulder for the nth time that day and responded quickly. “She’s off running some errands. As am I. What about you and our possible-newest member?” She asks, shooting Taro a charming smile.
Taro smiled bashfully at Kizana’s attention, and nervously rubbed the back of his neck. “Well, I’m certainly interested. I’m still debating on actually joining, though. I’ll definitely need more than a day or two.”
Kizana didn’t seem too bothered by this answer, and instead shot him a confident smile. “Well, you’ve all the time in the world.” She then shrugs, “Not really, but you get my point. Take your time, darling! No decisions are good decisions if they’re rushed.”
“I agree.” Taro responds, looking happy at Kizana’s reassurance.
“If you end up being particularly talented, you could even earn the role of Romeo, you know.” Kizana claims.
Taro seemed excited and anxious about that opportunity, although Kizana didn’t miss how Tsuruzo stiffened and looked at her in question at her statement. “That sounds exciting! I’ll make sure to work hard.” Taro claims, smiling happily at the thought.
The school bell rang and Taro took that as his time to leave. “I’m going to head to class now. See you there, Kizana.” He says, waving briefly to both her and Tsuruzo.
After he was out of earshot, Tsuruzo gave Kizana a troubled look. “The role of Romeo, Kizana?” He repeated her words, although he was significantly lacking his usual bravado.
Kizana hums, her voice and expression lax as she smiles at Tsuruzo. “Oh, don’t you worry about that.” She swats her hand back and forth dismissively, stepping right next to Tsuruzo to hang onto his arm. “Consider it a method of encouragement for the poor thing. He’d have to be… be Toshiro Mifune to replace you.”
Even as Tsuruzo seems to relax slightly at her reassurance, Kizana lifted a hand to guide his face to look at her. “I’ve seen how hard you work. I’d have to be stupid not to.” She smiles charismatically as Tsuruzo’s face slowly turns more and more red. “I hope you’re not insinuating that you think I’m stupid, Tsuruzo.” She hums in a low tone.
After struggling for a moment, Tsuruzo exhales, his face far more red than he would have liked. “If…If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume that you were trying to.. distract me.” He says, again internally punching himself for not sounding as charismatic as he attempted to.
Kizana’s facade eventually falls and she forces herself to look away and let go of him before he can see the redness of her own face. She sputters, trying her best to sound as offended and confident as possible. “The fact that you aren’t distracted is insulting.” She huffs, sheepishly twirling one of her drilled ponytails around her fingers.
Tsuruzo leans over just a bit, trying to catch a glance at her face, but is interrupted by a sharp ‘ahem’ coming from behind them.
Tokuko stood with an irritated expression, her hands on her hips. She looked more tired than usual, and even her hair looked unintentionally more high-volume than it usually was. The only reason Kizana would say that it looked bad is because she wasn’t used to Tokuko doing anything different with her hair outside of performances.
“You know, teenagers like you usually do that in bathrooms or storage closets.” Tokuko claimed, her voice filled with a judgemental tone, although this wasn’t unusual for her.
With a roll of her eyes, Kizana crosses her arms. “Tokuko, I haven’t seen you all day. I see you’re starting your day with the energy of Juliet in act 5.” She grins, raising her eyebrows. “Scene 3.”
“Dead?” Tokuko guessed, crossing her arms as well, as if trying to mock Kizana’s sass.
“Unhelpful.” Kizana smirks, although she’s only rewarded by Tokuko rolling her eyes.
Tsuruzo smiles at their banter before leaning down a bit to Kizana. “I’m heading to class. See you after.” He says, briefly placing his hand on her back before leaving the two ladies to bicker.
Tokuko watches him leave and returns to glaring at Kizana. “I request more time to myself rather than practice this week.” She says, although her tone attempted to emphasize that this was something she planned on doing more than something she was asking permission for.
“Sure.” Kizana shrugs, before immediately hissing, “If you want to fail.”
“A little time away from practice won’t deteriorate my skills, Kizana.” Tokuko sighs, rolling her eyes yet again- something she found she did often when she was in Kizana’s presence.
Kizana scoffs. “It will with you no longer taking those voice lessons. Do you know what all the melodies you need to sing during the performance are? Do you have a list or an idea or a plan?”
Tokuko groans. “I’m just asking for a little time to myself, Kizana. I’ve taken on that new job- I need some time to destress.”
“Destressing, Tokuko,” Kizana begins, placing a hand on her hip and giving her clubmate a nasty look, “is for after school. Not club time. Not practice time.” She scoffs, sounding offended at Tokuko’s suggestion. “You shouldn’t choose an important time like practice for your ‘destressing’. Especially time that may drag my progress down. We’re depending on a vocalist and that’s all you do.”
Kizana points an accusatory finger at Tokuko with a strict expression. “Take all the time you need. But if your ‘destressing’ ruins our performance, Tokuko, you will not be forgiven.” She says before adding with a calmer, although just as stern expression, “You understand, don’t you?”
What Tokuko’s answer was didn’t matter to Kizana, as she simply walked past her in order to get to class. Tokuko scoffs, now left alone in the hall. Part of her feels like even if Kizana had given her the time with no questions asked, she’d still find a way to ruin Tokuko’s mood.
Before she could dwell on it further, a familiar ding tone erupted from her phone. Her mood immediately grew calmer at who was texting her- a friend she could only contact online. Equally, a friend she didn’t think she’d ever have since she was hardly online before she got in contact with this guy.
Clandestein: I sense negative energy!! :0
ToKita: You know how I just got that job?
Clandestein: Yup, that hostess one?
Clandestein: Wish I could drop by for a bite :P
ToKita: The food is revolting, don’t worry.
Clandestein: I’d pay to see you :D
ToKita: You’d pay $50 for a glass of water to see me?
Clandestein: Wtf
ToKita: Thought so.
ToKita: Aaaaanyway..
ToKita: I can’t catch much of a break since my job lets me off late, so I’m trying to catch a break while at school.
Clandestein: (Mission Impossible)
ToKita: But she’s super absorbed in this performance we’re doing at the end of the week
ToKita: And she doesn’t want me to take a break :(
Clandestein: Betcha she’ll take plenty of breaks.
ToKita: She would!
ToKita: She’s always been this way.
ToKita: It’s the whole reason I’m convinced that any friends she has are paid
Clandestein: LOL
Clandestein: That’d be hilarious. At least you know that you have more friends than her! ;D
ToKita: That I do.
ToKita: I wish someone would just give her a scare :(
ToKita: She’s too lax and way overconfident
ToKita: I’m usually above pranks but I’d love to scare her at this point with one
Clandestein: If you do make sure you send a video to me!!!!!
Clandestein: Imagine it’s like a stalker serial-killer moment
Clandestein: Like, she keeps looking over her shoulder, thinking someone’s following her
Clandestein: And when she finally investigates, no one’s there!
Clandestein: She turns around, “Oh, well… must have been the wind…”
Clandestein: And then BOOM!
Clandestein: Oni mask to the face!!
ToKita: I want to see that sooooooo bad!!
Clandestein: Your wish is my command! :DDDDD
ToKita: Ha, I wish.
Clandestein: I’ll send my good vibes your way!
Clandestein: Hopefully Kizana stubs her toe on her way home
Clandestein: Whoo!
ToKita: Whoo.
ToKita: lol ^^
Tokuko turns off her phone and begins heading to class. “Clandestein”- who’s real name was apparently just “Stein”- was a fun character. Not even a friend Tokuko would imagine herself having if it weren’t for his funny remarks about whoever Tokuko complained about. Although that was usually just Kizana.
Still, he did always make her feel better. And frankly, he might be the sole reason she’s still dealing with Kizana’s unnecessary sass. She wasn’t sure what she’d do without him.
Have you thought of looking at the lore of the World of Darkness? It is the overarching world of Vampire the Masquerade amd Werewolf the Apocalypse, with a lot of unique takes on traditional folklore, religion, and mythology. I'd like to see what you think of it
Unfortunately you wouldn't see much what I think" about it because when it comes to World of Darkness I usually gobble things up and loses most critical thought X)
I am a HUGE, HUGE Changeling the Lost fan, and I also do enjoy a lot the Vampire the Masquerade lore. I only have a vague knowledge of the Vampire the Requiem remake, and I need to get into it in more details one of those days - and from what I understood and saw Changeling the Dreaming was indeed a bad game that Changeling the Lost surpassed in all ways. I did take a plunge into Werewolf the Apocalypse - especially because of the big evil company led by eldritch entities of chaos (that was my jam), though I have no knowledge of its remake - and I also did plan earlier to take a look at the two Mage games (but never could for now).
All in all I am a sucker for most World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness products - in terms of lore however cause I can't play them, but from what I udnerstood a LOT of people are just here for the lore and if they have to play they use the Vampire video games.
Though if you want my opinion for the actual over-arching world - I will confess, I actually do not care. I enjoy the lore and worldbuilding and twists of each games on its own, but when it comes to tying them all together into one universe I surprisingly find it the most boring part. Unless it is very well made, I tend to skip all the sections of books about crossovers.
As for "WoD vs CoD", I am a man who likes both and thinks they complement each other. WoD was the original, the start of the trend, ad it had this distinctive feel that you can't recreate anymore of the 90s/2000s Gothic and horror and dark urban fantasy - even though it also aged badly in some aspect, and alongside its best-sellers and masterpieces it had some really bad and flat instalments. CoD learns from its mistakes, takes new fresh twists, and brings a whole new ground of thought, inspiration and art to the table - and I will be forever thankful for Changeling the Lost. But I have to admit that several CoD games also lose a bit of the specific feel and specialty that made Wod special, resulting in several instalments either feeling too generic, too simplified, or just making them look pale and weak compared to their predecessors.
So overall it is a mixed bag.
If I ever made World of Darkness posts, it would be exposition posts where I just collect all info and shoot them back again X) Not much personal critical thought. But if people dig this up, why not? My original "creepy media" posts for the spooky season were the Magic the Gathring ones - but they are not doing quite well, so I can switch to posts about World of Darkness if that's what my audience wants! I just need to conclude the series of post for Dark Ascension that is stored in my drafts, and then I could switch to the White Wolf games
I’m trying to reign in my excitement for the Pokemon legends Z-A game since it’s coming out next year
So INSTEAD
Tumblr media
I made a bingo prediction sheet. A large chunk of these are just things people have been speculating/hoping for, some are things I want, a few are things I do not want, and a few of them purposefully contradict each other
With some long winded, too detailed explanations for most of them under the read more :]
[These are just for fun, and purely speculation/hopes]
Mega Charizard Z: [/hj] For the love of fucking god GF I do not want to see this lizard anymore. I know you’re obsessed with him. I wish to be free.
Kalos Starters/Random Mix of Starters: I feel like even though we had a random mix in the first Legends game, it’s not a guarantee that they’ll be doing the same for this one; I think it’d be cooler to finally give the main three Megas instead, but I wouldn’t complain if it did end up being a random selection
Tera Raids of the box legendaries in SV: They were skipped over when they brought the older legendaries in the dlc; please, I would like to see my children again
[Fade to Black, SFX, Fade back in]: Since you’re giving the game an extra year and not forcing the Devs to spew out the game as fast as possible, that means we’re getting a little bit better animations, right?
…Right?
Set in the Future/Past: I’ve seen a lot of people go back and forth over this because of the crumbs we were given, so I figured I’d put both on here so I could win either way 💅💅
Megas are the next Nobles: I’m just going on a whim since this is only our second Legends game, so who actually knows what the plot points are going to be
Slightly Cleaner Art Style/Exact Same Art Style: This is another one I’m personally hoping for, I did really like the way the last one looked, but some things were a bit weird to me, like the light purple shadows on everything. When the trailer comes out I’ll be changing this card once I have my answer
AZ. In general.: I just wanna know more about him. Crumbs, even. Gimme info on that weird ass tall fucker.
New Megas: This is gonna be a free space, and immmm really hoping it is a guaranteed free space
Ultimate Weapon Plot Point: The emotions I felt coursing through my pre-teen body when the weapon fucking rose from the ground and knocked over several houses? Gimme that but multiply it.
More Lore of the War: Kind of a filler space, but also I thought it sounded funny when I typed it out
Emmet in Paris/Ingo: A lot of people immediately jumped to the conclusion that it would be Emmet becoming French for this game, but I’ve seen a few arguments[jokingly] for Ingo, so I’m covering my bases and putting both on here. I’m not getting my own hopes up, I’m going to assume neither are in the game juuust in case
New forms for the legendaries: I am a Gen 6-er who’s starving for crumbs. I never see my legendaries anywhere. I think Megas would be fuckin badass but honestly I’ll take a singular grain of anything
Xerneas and Yveltal fighting: God of Peace vs God of Destruction, fighting? Unheard of. Revolutionary story idea. I’d eat it up.
Diantha’s Ancestor: We got to see one champions ancestor, let’s see another’s :D However. They must be fashionable. This is non-negotiable.
Mega Mewtwo Z: Exact same as Charizard, I feel like if you give one a mega you’re obligated to give the other one as well, or else people will complain or question it too much. I put them in the same column because I feel confident that you can’t have one without the other
Volo: A lot of people are speculating this because he says some stuff after you fight him, and while I would definitely prefer to have a different antagonist for this game I wouldn’t really complain about it either
New Legendary/Returning Mythicals: Maybe a new one kinda like how we got Enamorous, but im mostly hoping that the mythicals come back for this game because I’m trying to have a living Dex in Pokemon Home and I have NONE of the mythicals. Like at all. I am not selling my soul to get them
HELLO AND @veeeffvee THANKS AGAIN FOR INSPIRATION. I LIKED YOUR GHOST FAN FUSIONS SM SO I DECIDED TO DRAW ONE. QUITE A LOT???
I even gave him a name
✨Shuffle✨
I love Chris and Kennith so much so. yeah I gave them and their fusion much info and headcanons. hope you enjoy it
let's get started
✨Shuffle✨ is the fusion of Christopher and Kennith
He loves TV shows, design, music, gothic architecture, and smashing mirrors and faces of his bullies with a metal bat.
He has a pink metal bat, a microphone and a megaphone (I thought that would be a good mix of Chris and Kenny's stuff).
Shuff is quite a joyful and cheerful fusion. Easy-going, big hearted and broad minded, but tricky if he has any intention. Usually he doesn't carry violence first— only as a defense. During self-defense, he becomes ruthless since he doesn't feel sorry for the aggressors— he will attack and move on as if nothing happened.
Shuffle is rather less (passive-)aggressive and less impulsive than Christopher but he is much more brave and sharper than Kennith.
From Christopher, the fusion has a pronounced theatricality and mannerism— it won't be difficult for him to make the right impression and play out the right emotion. The only difference is that Shuff is actually able to feel emotions unlike Chris. The latter has a long way to develop and express his emotions.
From Kennith, Shuff has a vision of the world as an opportunity to turn any of his ideas into reality. Shuff is not shy at all about experimenting with many things— the eccentricity comes entirely from Kennith.
Kennith himself is a simple boy, he is very sincere. Thus the fusion is very communicative, talkative and has zero hesitation. Similarly with Christopher— this goes well with independence from the opinions of others and the ability to protect himself.
The main difference between Shuff and both of them is that he has a basic trust in the world, although that sounds like a paradox.
Shuffle doesn't mind doing anything active and social. However, Shuff will never do what might be annoying for one of his halves. Kennith dislikes to be watched by a crowd, and Christopher can't stand to be idle, either. Therefore, we find a compromise and something in between.
Shuffle is independent from his creators, he has his own will, his own personality and own hobbies. He is not just an appendage of Chris and Kennith. Although Shuff is very impressionable and sometimes not the most stable, especially in the case of a mental breakdown of one of his halves (often Kennith).
~Headcanons~
▷ Christopher is 190 cm (6'3") tall. Kennith is 165 cm (5'5") tall. Shuffle is 267 cm (8.76), very tall fusion
▷ Christopher plays in the theater. Kennith is passionate about technology and works in a modest electronics store (he graduated from high school and gave himself a couple of years to save money for college). Shuffle has skills in both of these areas but he isn't such a fan of electronics. He prefers social and active work
▷ Christopher is still able to transform into his shadow (distortionist) form or simply summon dark arms from his back. Shuffle can do that too :))) and this is the best feeling for Kennith in the fusion, and outside of it too, hugging and cuddling with six arms is great
▷ Crispy's sharp tongue and his perception greatly affects Kennith both in the relationship and inside of the fusion. Learning self-defense and reflecting back on himself, so to say
▷ His pronouns— Shuffle uses both 'I/me' and 'we/us' depending on his mood
▷ Shuffle has scars on his body. On his hips and arms most of all, the wrists, forearms and elbows are covered with striped scars. But Shuff doesn't have burn scars— he is afraid of fires
▷ Shuff looks at his scars with severe sadness. The scars are a reminder of his most difficult time when everyone was against him (Kennith, honey, all these b!tches will burn in hell which you will set up for them together with Chris). Shuff felt how helpless Kennith was during that time, and feels bitter that he couldn't help him
▷ Shuffle likes to wear colorful socks
▷ Shuffle likes to crunch his fingers and all bones
▷ If you think about their relationship, Christopher felt very bad about Kennith's scars. Usually a sense of justice only works towards Crispy, but he was surprised when he felt the same towards Kenny. Chris is of the same sexuality as him, and he would have smashed all who disagreed, to pieces with a metal bat. Also Christopher taught Kennith how to use a bat don't change my mind
▷ If Chris acts on a momentary decision, Shuff thinks about his feelings here and now. That is, first he feels, and then decides. Chris lacks empathy (which he began to develop in the relationship), but Shuff has enough of it, especially for himself
▷ Shuff knows how to be cheeky, this is both toxic from Chris and hostility to the world from Kenny
▷ Shuff drinks a barrel of wine at once. He doesn't get drunk at all
▷ Yes, Christopher loves red semi-sweet wine
▷ The first time Chris and Kennith fused, Shuffle was unstable and had a slightly different design. For example, unstable Shuff had pink hair with parts of white and chaotic mixed clothing from both members
Sooo I watched all four days of Crufts this past weekend and was possessed by the urge to draw various dog breeds. Child me would be so proud. (I still have the book of dog breeds I was obsessed with as a kid, and I still have an old little paper inside it with a list of dog breeds I wanted to draw... and pretty much all of these were there) Info about all of these people under the cut thingy:
Brelyn: A Grand Augur of necromagic. Probably will replace Morrok as Sellatrix's master and head of their team because I like her. Gentle and easygoing, likes to see innovative projects, hence her being okay with taking Verloren into her team. A powerful mage, much more deadly than she looks. Might be a witch as well or at least respect witchcraft. (Rip Morrok the owl, didn't even get a chance to exist and was already replaced, I might reuse the concept for another char or smth) Silverstrand: Was supposed to be a Grand Augur of necromagic but he has SUCH a geomage vibe that I'm not sure anymore. Either way, he's very serious and strict, and prefers things done "the right way" rather than experimental weird stuff. Basically the opposite of Brelyn a bit. If I make him a Grand Augur of geomagic, then he might be head of Lazuli's team. One of the king's most trusted Grand Augurs, warned him that exiling Verloren was a terrible idea (but got ignored anyway). King Harlin Devandell III of Houndsdagger: Proud and stubborn, likes to show off his power and skills. Grew up hearing that his mother the Queen never did enough, so he tries to do too much. Doesn't know much about magic and severely underestimates it. Ended up killed when Verloren didn't take being exiled very well. Wasn't too old, probably just a bit older than Verloren, so not even 50 yet when he died. Pommie: Finella's personal maid since she was a teenager. Very kind and caring, often felt more like a mom to Finella than her real mother. She's a household-wizard (someone who helps with trivial magic tasks, such as preparing baths with warming crystals and fancy fur potions or lighting up light orbs around the house) and taught Finella some basic magic when she asked her. The only one of this batch that I actually already had a full concept of for a while, even the breed, I just hadn't drawn her yet. Nivenyr: One of Sellatrix's witch friends. He's from the village and not related to the castle or any noble business. He works as a mage, making spells and stuff that he sells in his little shop. Somewhat cryptic. Possibly younger than he looks, I have no idea what's his age yet really. Might be more fit for my other setting that's about edgy emo witches (I mean he has emo hair even on his hands) but I'll try to keep him in this setting because Sella can't be the only witch around. Lazuli: A geomagic augur, friends with Finella. Calm and collected, she doesn't say much but judges everyone silently. Kinda tired of everyone's crap but tries to be non-violent, despite sometimes wishing she could kill some people. Her parents were jewelers and when she learned she could do magic with crystals and gemstones, she became a geomage and also learned to make art with magic crystals. Cyrus: A phytomagic augur. Extremely average guy. Obnoxious with his hate of necromagic. Was married to Finella at one point and he constantly tried to prove her how phyto is so much better than necro (Finella is a necromage, she just tried to ignore him when he went on a rant). When Verloren took over, Cyrus was among the phytomagic augurs who tried to ambush him and take him down, and was defeated and killed like all the others. Finella had mixed feelings about the incident. There were more people I wanted to make, like a pumi guy that I couldn't settle on a design for, and a girl that'll be either a papillon or a spaniel of some kind. But yeah I love dogs.
Hi Jenn, if you don’t hear back on an R&R with a publisher, but you get an offer from someone else, do you need to contact the publisher who made the R&R and formally withdraw the manuscript? If so, what wording do you use? Or can you just go with the new offer and forget the non-responsive publisher? Or does it depend how long it’s been, whether weeks or months? I suppose I’m also curious on a similar question if this was with an agent, not a publisher, and if there’s any difference in either case. Thank you.
Regardless of whether or not it's an R&R or just a regular submission to a publisher or agent, if I got an offer from somebody else, I'd give the other folks who have the material and haven't yet responded the opportunity to do so. That goes for an editor or agent with an R&R, an editor or an agent with a full, or an agent that I have queried but it was recent enough that it is still definitely in the "will respond by" window.
The check-in email would be something like, "Hi, I have an offer from another [publisher/agent]; if you have the chance to read and are interested in this as well, can you let me know by [x-date/the end of next week/two weeks from now/etc]? If you need more time, let me know, but if I don't hear from you, I'll consider it a pass. Thanks so much, etc."
(Obvs you can make it more flowery or whatever your style is -- this is just the basic info! And see the *** paragraph below for an extra addendum that MIGHT come into play for an R&R!)
If they don't reply in that timeframe, then you can consider it a pass and move on.
!!Etiquette point!! You didn't ask this part, but it comes up when talking R&Rs, so just for people who don't know: Generally speaking, if you've agreed to do an R&R ("revise and resubmit") specifically for an editor or agent -- i.e., they have provided fairly extensive and rather specific notes for you, you have revised to those notes****** -- it's typically expected that they will have an exclusive on that revised version for a period of time. (If the old version is still out with other people, that's fine, you don't need to pull it or anything.)
Because of this, the polite thing to do when you are turning in an R&R is to thank them so much for the notes, and let them know that, though the previous version is still with some other folks, this version is exclusive to them for a period of time (say, 8 weeks for a novel?) -- and you'll let them know if anything should change. Then after that period of time, you don't need to PULL IT from them or alert them or anything like that -- they can still consider it if they are still considering it! But you are fine to send that new version to more folks if you want to.
*** SO, let's say you get an offer on the old version of the ms, and they are the only ones considering the new version -- IF that's the case, I would probably add to my note something like, "I really appreciate the time you took with this already, so I wanted to make extra sure you had the chance to look; just so you know, the offer is for a previous version of the ms." (or something that is truthful and nice and in this vein!)
******* "But what if they didn't call it an R&R, it was just kind of like "if you decide to revise down the line I'd love to take another look", the notes weren't that in-depth or multiple editors said the same things, so I want to revise but it isn't really FOR THEM, it's just a revision?" -- In that case, I wouldn't offer it back to them exclusively. In THAT case, when I resubmitted it to them, I'd say something like, "Thanks so much for your kind words about this ms, and for offering to look at it again. It turns out that several editors had very similar feedback, so I decided to go back to the drawing board on some of these elements (or whatever); I do think it is much stronger, and I hope you enjoy!" -- that way you aren't promising them exclusivity, they are aware other editors may be in the mix, etc.
MHA Boys w/ 5ft Tall S/O (Reader)
This was a request I had from a while back that I'm reposting
Katsuki (5’8)
Tumblr media
-his initial instinct wasn’t to recognize them as any sort of threat due to their height - he knows logically it's a bit of an assumption so he *should* still keep an eye on them (they're in the hero course after all)
-until of course they quickly went on to prove they could pack a punch even with such a small frame and he hated to admit it but he was pretty impressed
-cue constant teasing about their height - Bakugou generally likes to get under people's skin partly because he's just a confrontational dick like that and partly because he can further assess them that way - their reactions, emotional disposition, how confrontational they are etc. he makes a mental note of it all. He tells himself it's because it's useful info to have that'll translate well to how they are during a fight or stressful situation. Definitely not at all because it's the only way he knows how to get their attention on him - nuh uh couldn't possibly be that
-short stack/short stuff, smalls, small fry, half pint, pipsqueak, ankle biter - honestly it seems like he has a new name every day for them. He gets a kick out of their reactions since they do have a bit of a temper of course that also means they tend to retaliate which left the rest of the class having to defuse the situation
-(honestly liked that they weren’t scared to stand up to him or talk back so that and their general strength are what he respected about em from the jump +drew him to them)
-overtime he develops his crush and he wants to hit himself in the face for thinking that them being short is something endearing - honestly it probably stems from the ego boost he’d get anytime he had to help them get something off a shelf or help them up during training. Sure he'd give them shit for it the whole time but he was always the first to rush to help them when they asked for it.
-when they started dating the names didn’t stop of course but some more appropriate pet name ones occasionally got thrown into the mix too (firecracker, mini, lil bit, etc.)
-he likes that they’re able to fit under his arm perfectly when he puts his arm around them when they walk and that he can pick them up like it’s nothing - the laughter he’s able to get out of them when he does it is cute as hell. Of course his favorite thing is that they have to get on their tip toes a bit when they want to kiss him and he’ll often tease them by not leaning down for them
-(what then ensues is them climbing him and tryna wrestle him down to their height or if they’re annoyed enough to the ground - how successful they are varies day to day)
-(if he’s irritated with them he’ll hid their shit in the top cabinets and on top of the fridge - after several instances of him yelling at his classmates they’ve learned to not interfere and help his s/o)
-(his s/o buys a stepstool)
Todoroki (5’9)
Tumblr media
-honestly doesn’t think much of it, has no strong feelings about it either way as he’s kinda oblivious to these sorts of things unless they’re in relation to a fighting situation or efficiency - it’s just how he’s been taught to process things tbh
-so, he things its kinda a disadvantage to not be able to reach things or to have to work harder to keep up with him when he’s walking - but they’re also able to hide better and could probably do infiltration missions better, so that’s cool
-of course he makes sure to tell his s/o this anytime they ask him to help them get something down - he thinks their reactions are pretty funny tbh
-he does like being big spoon tho and watching how comfortable they are all wrapped up in him, that’s pretty cute
-one time they mentioned how it was kind of a pain to always have to strain to kiss him so he lifted them up a step so that they were a equal height before asking them to kiss try kissing him then (kinda becomes their thing after that - if his s/o wants to initiate a kiss they’ll look for something to climb or sit on before doing so)
-idk it’s not really something he thinks about - he likes his s/o because they’re them and so he’ll find anything about them physically appealing. It’s not more complicated for him than that.
Midoriya (5’5)
Tumblr media
-he’s not really used to being *that* much taller than folks so it secretly pleases him that you’re short. He treats it as if it’s some guilty pleasure or something because he doesn’t want it to seem like he’s demeaning you for something you can’t control, he just think it’s so adorable that you have to look up at him or stand on your tip toes to kiss him or ask for his help to reach things!
-(midoriya loves to feel needed and it just really reiterates a feeling of being a hero because he’s able to help you with stuff - even if it is just small tasks)
-how small your hands are in his is what does it for him tho babyyy - makes him feel better to have your hand engulfed in his so that he can keep you safe
Shinsou (5’9 )
Tumblr media
-he’s used to towering over classmates so it’s not something he pays too much attention to but he does find it pretty cute
-he teases you about it from time to time (not to the extent Bakugou does - normally just using you as an arm rest or some “if you want me to reach that or help you up you have to pay the toll” (changes from being one kiss, saying he’s the best and is better than you at everything, etc. - the things you do to get to the top shelf smh)
-the first time he tried to kiss you he was so nervous that when he leaned down he missed completely and ended up just kissing your forehead - tried to play it off as intentional but it was pretty obvious it wasn’t lmao
-forehead kisses do become a thing for y’all though
So, remember Wraith AUs? GUESS WHAT, MY BRAIN GOT ONE
So, this Au is for the Ground and Stars FanPik, but it can go pretty much on any story about Pikmin if y'all get inspired (Go wild home slices) and the huge new thing is Mixed Wraiths (see more below) so I'll just tag it "mixed wraith au" to not overflow the Pom Wraith AU.
In which, I should probably explain the whole Mixed Wraith thing. In short, it's when a Wraith mixes or fuses with another creature, most commonly another Wraith. There is more info on how they work and some new wraith types.
It is based off of that so @splitster thanks for getting me a bit too obsessed over this concept (Read more for the art and stuff)
Tumblr media
(More art and Mixed Wraith lore below!)
So, as you can see, stuff has changed. This AU really starts at Chapter 9, the first 8 chapters are basically the same. Pom is now a wraith, and is hiding among the crew as a totally real space person. Pom himself is called what is known as a Mixed Wraith, or the mixture of a wraith and another creature, most commonly a wraith. Pom is specifically the mix between a Plasm Wraith, and a Water Wraith, which creates the Oil Wraith.
Tumblr media
Mixed Wraiths are a bit complicated, but simply, there are mainly two kinds. The first one is the mixed wraith, but two streams of consciousness . This type of Mixed Wraith has the consciousness of both wraiths, and they work together to keep themselves safe. (Let's call this Type 1 Mixed Wraith) The second kind is what is known as the Combined consciousness Mixed Wraith, which is the two wraiths that make up the mixed one coming together and making a new Combined Consciousness (Or CC). Of course, these wraiths can take over separately at any time, but they usually just use the CC to get closer to prey. (Let's call this Type 2 Mixed Wraith) Pom is the second type of Mixed Wraith
Tumblr media
So there's more wraith lore. There are four main types of wraiths, Liquid, Solid, Gas, and Plasma. Each one acts and behaves differently from each other, and some of which are not total assholes.
Tumblr media
(The Liquid Wraith includes things like the Water Wraith, the Honey Wraith or Colored Ink Wraiths. Solid Wraiths include things like the Reflection Wraith, the Gemstone Wraith, or the Floral Wraith. The Gas Wraith includes things like the Oxygen Wraith, Chloroform Wraith, and the Iodine Vapor Wraith. The Plasma Wraiths include things like the Plasm Wraith, the Star Wraith, or the Flame Wraith.)
Tumblr media
Wraiths survive with their cores, which are practically their hearts. These are generally the same as the Pom Wraith AU, but if a Mixed Wraith's Core breaks, then the two wraiths/creatures that made it up will separate, taking half of the core with them.
Also, depending on the personalities of the Wraith and the other creature, they might fight from time to time. If the two created a combined consciousness, and they fight, the consciousness is kicked out of control and one or both of them take over. If it gets too unstable, or the Core is broken in half, then the two Wraiths will split up, in most cases leaving any wraith perfectly fine and the other creature dead.
There is also a way to fix a broken core, but those who try to do so will probably be hunted down by several angry Wraiths. (Wraiths look down at this, as they think if you died, you need to stay dead)
Tumblr media
Wraiths are also garbage at disguising themselves, like really. Most forgot that ears exist, or they have some sort of wild color for skin, like grey or pink. Though, thank god Pom was able to find a human before he lifted off into the stars.
I do have more wraith lore, but those will be separate post, probably without art because I've already made several pages of this stuff, and it's more fun to draw characters compared to lore (Sorry lol)
Oh yeah, and I do have wraith forms of the Rescue Corps, don't worry. THEY AREN'T SAFE FROM THE BRAIN ROT EITHER! (But they will be for later, as I have to get through a far amount of other posts about this AU first. Sorry about that.) MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ow my back
Its coming up on a year since I started using this blog, so its time for a little reflection I think. Long rambling thoughts after the cut.
When I started posting here I had three goals: To motivate myself to improve, to motivate myself to share more of my stuff, and to havge a sort of archive of my models. The results have been mixed.
I do think I've improved, maybe not a lot but enough that I can see it. My texture work in particular I feel way more confident in, both in creating the textures themselves and applying them. Unwrapping models for textures has gotten easier too, so that's good. Besides that tho I can't really tell if I'm getting any better.
I'd say my weakest point is still animation. Frankly I think my animations suck. Most if not all of my attempts look mechanical or awkward, which can work for the aesthetic of old video games, but I want to be able to animate well. I have so many projects in mind that are being held back by my animation ability and my improvement has been sloooooow.
Now the second and third goals have been less successful. I spend most of my free time making these 3D models, and have for a few years now, but I never used to share them, not even with friends. No goals, just the joy of creation. At some point I started thinking about that, and how if no one ever sees them they aren't really real. I decided that if I started sharing them it might push me to share more. That has not been the case. In the past year I have made at least double, maybe triple, the amount of stuff that I have posted. Some of them I don't feel are good enough, which is understandable, but for a lot of it I either feel like no one would be interested, and I don't want to waste their time, or I have no reason not to share. I don't know why I do it, but I'll finish a project and then just, do nothing with it. I'm not sure how I can start getting past it, but I do want to try.
I also find myself thinking of things in sets, and I hate the idea of not finishing a set. When I made Raz, my brain said I had to make all the campers. When I made a Motobug, my brain said I had to make ALL the classic Badniks (I did get past that by lowering it to just the ones from Sonic 1). It gets frustrating because I have several models done that I don't want to post because the either the set isn't done, or I'm not motivated to continue the set, and my brain HATES the idea of not having the finished set posted. As for the actual experience of posting, its been fun overall, but I find myself sort of struggling with how to post. If you look back you'll see that sometimes I'll just post a model, and sometimes I'll talk about my thoughts on it. I have no clue what anyone wants to see, so I've been sort of flip-flopping on that. If anyone has actually read this far, feel free to let me know: what would you like to see? Should I include more info about my models? Do you want to see the poly counts? Wireframes? Textures? Or should I stick to just the models and let them speak for themselves.
Just wanted to write this to get my thoughts in order, and hope if you stick around that you enjoy what you see.
also, also —
I wrote out so many quotes 'cause your language is beautiful and you manipulate it to express complicated figures with simple words so easily is breathtaking. SO I took many quotes and one seriously got on my mind
"would you forgive him just as readily if he were to kill someone in front of you?" I feel like I'd need you elaborate on that one. The thought looks curious as an idea for a situation but at the same time I understand how easily forgiving reader would be borderline ignoring severance of the situation(maybe??? Im still not sure how this works since we got fans already knowing he unalives ppl easily in the first place + the whole setting does collocate with high death rate so...) and on the other hand, abandoning him is just gameover. So I thought the closest to actually getting through this situation without being too unrealistic would be two options
First one is probably classical "y/n already knew it before and them getting close to FMN was with that fact taken into account" and the second one is (mourning the loss of life then) turning to him to adress the issue and try to figure some other ways to "win" without killing anybody(paralyze potion??? More mind games? idk). As if it's _our_ problem and not just his. tldr: jokes on him we are not getting off of that ship.
sorry for this getting too big. you've awakened a dog and it's rabid
NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS, I LOVE LOVE LOVE DISCUSSING THINGS IN-DEPTH WITH PEOPLE! this is us right now, we're sitting and talking about FMN's unstable mental health together and we're holding hands and we're having fun
Tumblr media
when I wrote that oneshot, I wanted to keep everything as vague as possible when it came to the reader - this includes their involvement with FMN's and how they tackle the ticking bomb that is his personality and moral compass!
the only thing regarding the reader that I wanted to come across is that the reader cares about him to some degree - the depths of those feelings are pretty much up to you and how you feel about FMN
the SECOND thing I wanted to come across is the fact that FMN lives in his own head, so everything HE perceives about the reader is either projection or wishful thinking, like. you CANNOT take him at face value because everything he thinks and says is a contradiction. he's obsessed with you but both denies it and revels in it, he spends so much time observing you but also misses INCREDIBLY OBVIOUS things about you. he loves you and he hates you. etc etc.
so when FMN starts thinking all that shit about how would you react if he were to kill someone in front of you, that's all intrusive thoughts. they make no sense and are fueled by impulse and things he doesn't actually want to engage in (but might, just because he's one hair away from constantly ruining his own life in one way or another, FMN is self-destructive above all else)
the message underneath is that he simply just wants to keep being awful and irredeemable because he wants to show you that he's ugly inside and outside because he's STILL pretending to be a smooth and very hinged person. it wasn't meant to establish that the reader NEVER saw him kill or commit any other atrocities, or that they're willingly blind or anything else - again, those aspects are left vague for whoever reads this to fill in the blanks AND FMN cannot be trusted in here, especially when reading his POV
ultimately, I can't start elaborating on how the reader would react if they saw FMN kill people fireworks style after this oneshot - because YOU are the reader, I don't control your thoughts or perception. in this oneshot, the character of the "reader" lacks any sort of backstory, motivations, or any solid info to even start thinking if they'd forgive FMN or abandon him or whatever, if that makes sense. I didn't establish if they're an arcanist or human, if they're mixed or infected, if they're willingly siding with Manus or are blind to FMN's affiliations with them, etc. it's all up to you in the end! you get to pick how you'd react in the aftermath!
if we were talking about more specifics like, "how about a reader who rejects the foundation and believes in manus?" or "can you write about a human reader caught up in the crossfire?". those things I can deffo work with because there's context for me to start from
hope this made sense, and ty for the asks!! always a treat to see more FMN fans <3
