#clawing and scratching at the walls of my enclosure LET ME OUT OF HERE#i am. generously. maybe 2/3s of the way through this drawing. and. i do not want to be here anymore aksuskshdnd#it looks fucking fantatic so far! do not get me wrong. on the other hand.#every other brush stroke feels like I'm fighting the gods themselves to continue. so#being an artist is just an infinite cycle of 'god i love being an artist they just let you do fucking whatever 😊' *does fucking whatever*#'I'm going to kill whoever let me do this' *finishes fucking whatever* 'god i love being an artist-'#i will finish this painting i will finish this painting i swear i will finish this painting-#8 hours 😭#i actually would no usually complain about a piece taking this long it's not actually particularly unusual for my bigger pieces#but there is a difference between 8+ hours split up by sketching and lineart and coloring and rendering#and 8+ hours of just fucking painting
