masterlist of eagles runout grooves
some of y’all probably know about the secret messages bands or engineers sometimes stamp into records, like “tear down the walls” across the four sides of the clash’s london calling or, well, actually i did some research and there are quite a few odd examples in this article. anyway, eagles fans have likely heard about the hotel california runout groove marked “v.o.l. is five piece live,” which indicates that victim of love was recorded completely live with no overdubbing for the album. but after listening to an interview with the eagles circa 1980, i realized this was hardly the only runout groove inscription of their career, and went searching through my albums…
one of these nights
side one - don’t worry….
side two - ….nothing will be ok!
hotel california
side one - is it 6 o’clock yet?
this apparently refers to bill szymczyk’s policy against mind-altering substances in the studio until six pm.
side two - v.o.l. is five piece live.
the long run
side one - never let your monster lay down.
along with the “monster smile” in ‘the greeks don’t want no freaks’, this note is a bit of “eagle code”, the monster being “almost too many beers…but not quite,” according to joe.
side two - from the polack who sailed north.
this one is possibly a signature from szymczck, who was in the navy for four years.
eagles live
side one - is it illegal to yell “movie” in a firehouse?
side two - hello federal? …ship it!
side three - not tonight thanks….
side four - ….i’ve gotta rest up for my monster.
greatest hits vol. 2
side one - lenny and leon say…
side two - ….”everything that comes together falls apart.”
since most of the inscriptions were allegedly written by szymczyk, they continue occasionally on eagles’ solo albums (on joe’s there goes the neigbhorhood: “it’s been fifteen years and i still can’t spell szymczyk./is it one L or two?”), although some are more personal (joe’s you bought it, you name it: “welcome lucy…12-3-82. 10:12 am.”). you can find a full list on L&M’s eagles fastlane. their list also includes a secret message from their greatest hits (”happy new year glen [sic]./with love from bill.”) i chose not to include it in my list because the album was produced by glynn johns, not szymczyk, and there is no message on my copy. in the interview i linked, joe also mentions a solo album with the inscription “all you need are fleas,” but i couldn’t find any more information on it.
personally, i’m just excited to have discovered something new about records i’ve loved for years, and i don’t think there’s anything satanic in hotel california played backwards (except “skcollob,” as jeff lynne would say). but you do have to wonder about some of these phrases - the repeated “monster” theme is admittedly kind of ominous. what do you think? any guesses on meanings?
#eagles#mine#q#eagles band#don henley#glenn frey#joe walsh#timothy b schmit#don felder#randy meisner#bernie leadon#bill szymczyk#somebody who's on desktop tell me if the punctuation is fucked up#it looks fine on mobile but in my queue on my computer it looks like wingdings#long post#there should be a read more but?????

Could you do a Vegeta x Reader where the reader is short & petite like 4’11 but has an attitude 🥺
Or
Trunks x reader where trunks is taking care of reader who has like a cold or something
Hi Anon! Your wish is my command, please enjoy 😉
“Could you do a Vegeta x Reader where the reader is short & petite like 4’11 but has an attitude 🥺”
(I apologize in advance for the layout. Next time I’ll copy from my computer… tumblr mobile must hate me lol)
P.s. I’ll also write the trunks request on another post so be on the lookout for that (-:
~
“Ugh! That’s not it.” You huffed as you threw a random toaster out of your way. With a loud sigh and a scratch of your head you thought “where could they possibly be?” You were becoming very frustrated in your search.
Bulma had given you a task to find some old blue prints from a project she worked on many years ago. She sent you to a storage room filled with piles of junk and had promised that they’d be in there. You often wondered how she remembered exactly where stuff was and why she wouldn’t get it herself if that was the case. After working for Capsule Corp for 3 years, she began to trust you with more and more information. You’ll never forget when she introduced you to Vegeta and Goku, two of her friends who happened to be saiyans. Over the years you became a very loyal assistant and she would give you small projects to work on on your own. She even taught you how to work the gravity chamber and make repairs if needed. Repairs were needed often for Vegeta and Goku after an angry training session. Goku was super fun to be around and became one of your close friends. He was so silly and could make you laugh at any moment. Vegeta on the other hand was more rough around the edges and overall hard to get along with. You tried to be friendly towards him for Bulma’s sake but you found yourself rolling your eyes around him all the time.
You looked down at the layout of the storage room that was sloppily drawn out by Bulma. In that moment you realized you were holding it upside down.
With a face palm you excitedly said, “Ahhh, okay now we’re getting somewhere!” You looked up in the corner of the room and saw the blueprints under a few storage bins on the very top shelf. Shoot! How were you supposed to get up there? You looked down at your feet confirming how short you actually were. You were about 4’11 and pretty tiny. The last thing you want to do is ask someone for help.
Almost on queue you spun around to see Vegeta leaning in the doorway holding a towel to his temple wiping the sweat from the training session he must’ve just finished. You couldn’t help but jump a little not expecting to see him there. He was unphased and had his usual mean mug plastered across his face.
“I didn’t scare you did I, woman?” His stern voice sent shivers down your spin. There’s no way you were going to ask Vegeta for help. You’ve always hated having these one on one encounters with him.
“No, you didn’t,” you answered plainly, crossing your arms and popping out your hip. You didn’t want him to have the satisfaction of spooking you. “And stop calling me woman! My name is y/n” You rolled your eyes at him and spun on your heels back towards where you were standing previously.
“Bulma said I’d find you back here. The gravity chamber needs repairs” he stated, ignoring you per usual. He wrapped the towel around his neck and leaned back further into the doorway not planning to move until he got a confirmation that you’d drop what you were doing and go fix the chamber.
“Yes your ‘majesty’” you replied with air quotes hoping to actually piss him off. It must’ve worked because he pushed himself off the door frame and further into the storage room.
“What did you say, weakling?” His brows furrowed and he grabbed your arm roughly forcing you to face him. You tried to wiggle out of his hold but he wouldn’t let you. You decided to keep your cool knowing you had gotten under his skin.
“Oh, nothing… Prince Vegeta,” you replied with a flirtatious tone and a smirk, surprising both yourself and Vegeta. You couldn’t tell if he became flustered, before it could go further you finally pulled away. “Fine. Let me just grab these real quick then.” You spot a chair on the other side of the room. You grabbed the chair and brought it over to the shelf holding the blue prints. In one swift motion you stood up on the chair and reached out to grab the blue prints. You couldn’t believe it, you still weren’t tall enough. Your face became red when you realized Vegeta was still in the room. Crap.
There was silence and then a deep chuckle, Vegeta couldn’t hold it in. This was the first time you’d ever heard him laugh. “What were you planning on doing with that, woman?” He kept laughing which annoyed you more. You dropped your head in defeat, your hair fell to the sides of your face. You almost broke a sweat trying to get those damn blue prints.
With a brief pause, “Vegeta… can. you. help. me…?” You hated that you even had to ask him for help. This was so embarrassing. You couldn’t look over at him, part of you hoped he had left the room. You didn’t even know if he’d actually help, you wouldn’t put it past him. You heard his foot steps as he walked towards you. He didn’t say anything as he approached you. Stepping down from the chair you finally looked him in the eyes as he got closer. He looked you up and down once more before leaning down, picking you up wrapping his arms around the back of your knees so that his head was flush with your chest and his arms support your butt. This is not what you expected. You also didn’t expect for Vegeta to give you butterflies, why the heck were you feeling this way? He held you up high so you took the opportunity to reach for the blue prints. Finally! You tapped him signaling for him to put you down. Instead of letting you back down the way he picked you up, he allowed you to slide down his body causing your shirt to come up a bit. His onyx eyes were still locked on yours.
You pulled away from him clearing your throat and fixing your shirt. There was so much tension, you weren’t sure if he felt it too.
“Um, thanks,” you produced a fake smile in hopes he wouldn’t catch you blushing.
Vegeta closed the space between you again, he decided this time to pick you up so that your thighs were wrapped around his waist. Before you knew it his lips were on yours desperately trying to relieve the tension between the two of you. He carried you over to the nearest wall shoving you against it causing you to drop the blue prints you didn’t realize you were still holding. His gloved hand ran his fingers through your hair as he started placing kisses down your neck. A moan escaped your lips and that’s when you heard Bulma talking down the hall, you assumed she was looking for you since you’d been gone so long. Vegeta pulled away leaving you wanting more. Without saying a word to you he left the room.
On the way out of the door you heard him call out, “That woman needs to fix her attitude.” You we’re so confused. Before you had a second longer to think about it Bulma had turned the corner. Her eyebrow was raised as she smiled at you.
“Let me guess, the gravity chamber is broken again?” She giggled. You couldn’t hold it in, you started cracking up with her and eventually both of you were rolling on the floor laughing.

✻ Ichi-go, Ichi-e (Baekhyun Byun) Gets Better
📑 Table of Contents
Genre: Fluff, Crack, Slice of Life
Word Count: 1,241
Pairing: Reader x Baekhyun
World: EXO
Prompt: #22, “It’ll get better, right?”
Author’s Note: This was written for @challengingwords writing challenge.
━━━━━━༻ ✻ ༺━━━━━━
“Calm down and tell me what happened.” Baekhyun gently took you by the shoulders, his concerned eyes meeting yours.
You shook your head angrily and he was sure he could see steam coming from your ears. “No, you won’t understand!”
“You won’t know that until you tell me.” His lips met your forehead. “Breathe, baby. In and out.”
You mirrored his deep breathing, your head feeling lighter as your anger lowered to annoyance. He slid the desk chair over, motioning for you to take a seat as he kneeled in front of you, holding onto your knees to steady himself.
“Now, tell me how you feel.”
You rolled your eyes at the amused glint in his own orbs. “Not funny, Baek.”
He pouted. “You don’t like the idea of me being your therapist?”
“Pretty sure it’s morally wrong to sleep with your patients.” You clicked your tongue in disapproval. “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too, Byun Baekhyun.”
“Yeah, yeah.” He wrinkled his nose, lightly smacking your outer thigh. “Stop avoiding the subject. Tell me or I’ll be forced to cuddling you until you give me the info I want!”
Despite yourself, you smiled which made him beam with pride at his accomplishment. “I hate you,” ‘Because you always make me smile no matter how upset I am,’
“Hmm, my spidey senses say otherwise.” Baekhyun wiggled his eyebrows.
“Ew,”
“Y/N~”
“Fine!” You threw your head back and began to recall your story of woe.
━━━━━━༻ ✻ ༺━━━━━━
You loved to write stories and chose to post them on a site called Tumblr because you liked being able to customize your blog. What you chose to write was mostly fanfiction about your favorite fandoms, which helped you to meet people that thought the say way you did and liked the same things. Baekhyun didn’t know anything about this site that its users called a hell-site, but being the supportive boyfriend that he is, he always patiently listened to you every time you needed to rant about the site.
And Tumblr certainly is not a site without its fair share of problems.
You liked to keep your queue rather full so you didn’t spam your followers. That way, if you had a long day or simply didn’t feel like posting, you could relax without having to worry. You pulled up your masterlist so you update it with that day’s posts, but when you clicked on the link, however, a sense of dread filled your body. The once colorful links were now white, the default text color for your theme. Why were the links gone? You had over three-hundred stories at this point and the links were gone.
You were on the verge of panicking.
Had you messed up something when you edited the post yesterday? You were sure you hadn’t, so then why? Trying to calm yourself, you messaged your friend, sending the link and asking them to see if the links were there for them. Surprisingly, she reported that the links were fine, all intact as they should be. She also reported, though, that she believed the site had a link limit per post and guessed the number to be around one hundred.
You tried pulling up the post on your phone – the links were intact and working as they should be. So then, why were the links whited out when you pulled the post up on your computer? ‘Well… as long as my followers can see them,’ you frowned at the screen, trying to put it out of your mind.
After adding the new links, you clicked over to the tags page, relieved to see the colorful links, but after adding a couple new tags and saving, they also whited out. “You have got to be kidding me…”
You quickly debated with yourself on created an external list somewhere because the thought of having multiple masterlists and a rabbit hole of links per fandom made you feel queasy, but you worried that your followers would not be happy with a masterlist on a site outside of Tumblr. And then you remembered the existence of pages.
━━━━━━༻ ✻ ༺━━━━━━
“It’ll get better, right?” Baekyun interrupted you, feeling his temples start to throb at the tale.
“Shush, you’re ruining the mood!” You cleared your throat, picking up where you left off.
Baekyun felt like his mind was going insane, but he remained quiet, trying to keep up with the words leaving your lips.
━━━━━━༻ ✻ ༺━━━━━━
If you just added a new page with your theme rather than getting fancy with customized HTML, it should work just fine for mobile users. At first, you simply copy-pasted the list, but that did not work – for some reason, it made the text black which could barely be seen against the dark grey background of the post.
With a scowl, you deleted the page and tried again. ‘Okay, paste as plain text, then… yes, it worked!’ While the links were not there, all of the text was, which would save you some time. You did feel slightly annoyed by the lack of a header option, though, but it was fine because the preview looked quite nice, so you continued your work.
It took you nearly three hours, with distractions, to finally re-link everything and clean up your blog. The preview was perfect so you saved the page, feeling excited to finally look upon your hard work. You copied the link to the page, pasted it into the browser, and clicked enter.
Your heart sunk like the damn titanic.
The links were whited out, not a single one intact.
“Son of a bitch!” Your face fell to the keyboard with a thunk and you groaned, a mixture of frustration and pain coursing through you. “Stupid, idiotic, bastard hell-site! Why are you like this, huh?! Why are you doing this to me, huh?! Are you trying to make me lose it?!”
Baekhyun cautiously slipped into the roam, unsure how to feel as he watched his partner gripping both sides of the computer monitor, screaming questions at it as if it weren’t just an inanimate object. He had seen you freak out at the computer on more than a couple of occasions, but this? This was definitely new.
━━━━━━༻ ✻ ༺━━━━━━
“And that’s when you stopped me.” You huffed in annoyance, folding your arms across your chest as you sent your boyfriend an accusing look.
“Babe… I stopped you because you picked up a bat.”
“And? It was just wood, it would’ve been fine.”
He sighed, bringing his hand to his forehead. “That computer is expensive, you know.”
“It’s Tumblr’s fault for being such a dick!”
“If the site upsets you so much, why don’t you just stop using it?”
You recoiled back as if he had just made a move to strike you, the wheeled chair sliding back a bit. “I could never do that, Baek!”
“What?” His brow furrowed in confusion. “Why not?”
“Because I love it, obviously!” You responded matter-of-factly, sending him a look as if he should know this information.
Baekhyun deadpanned. “Why am I dating you again?”
“Because you love me~” You grinned, sliding the chair back over to him.
“That’s debatable.” He tried to keep a straight face but failed, lips curling up into a smile as he pulled you into his arms. You returned the smile, hand gripping his so you could bring it to your lips, planting a soft kiss upon his knuckles.

The term “Ichi-go, Ichi-e” literally means “one time, one moment”. As explained in [this] article, it is meant to act as a reminder that we should treasure every moment because it will never recur again. I thought that was beautiful, so I decided to use that as the title for this set.

ok i have a random question to make, sorry lmao 🥺 how can I put a link on my bio
Hi anon! No need to apologise~
The best way to do it is on desktop, but if you don’t have access to a computer, then it’s possible through mobile.
For Desktop:
Go to “Edit Appearance” (under the link for Queue) for your blog, then choose “Edit Theme” where it says Website Theme.
(Do not click the “Edit appearance” link overlaid on the photo you have for your mobile theme—this will take you to the wrong place. Scroll down just a little further!)
This will take you to where you can edit your theme! You’ll be working in the first box on the left-hand side (Appearance Options) in “Description.” This is your bio.
(You’ll notice that the line(s) of text you already have in there are bookended by <p> and </p>. Don’t delete those!)
So it’s a portion of html that you’ll be putting in instead of typing just the word or phrase.
Aaaand here it is:
<a
href=“insert link here”>word you want linked</p>
Make sure to include the line break after the ‘a’. Just hit enter/return to do that. Make sure to include all elements—quotation marks, slashes, etc.
If there’s already a </p> at the end of the word you want to link, then leave that so it will still end up looking like the example above.
Choose “Update Preview” to see how it looks and if it worked, then “Save.”
For Mobile:
Make sure to copy the link you want to insert first.
Go to edit your theme from where you see your own blog.
Select the word or phrase you want to link. The options for different colours, bold, italics, strikethrough, and link will appear.
Press the link option, paste your link into the space provided, then choose “Add.”
And, of course, save your work!
Since tumblr can be pretty finicky, I’d recommend the desktop way to do this for your bio. If you’re just linking things in a random text post, mobile does it just fine. But for bios, the link will show up properly on desktop and mobile if you do it on desktop. (Wow I really sound repetitive now, but you get it).
I hope this is clear and helps! Let me know if you have any questions~
Stay cozy☺️🤙🏼✨

THE OFFICIAL DBD STORE SELLS A HUNTRESS (and shirtless david) BODY PILLOW AND IM 👀👀👀👀👀👀👌👌👌👌
Keep ‘em comin’ lads
(Haha. I do gotta say tho Anon, if you want a body pillow for DbD, please consider getting a custom one instead. I think you’d actually like it much better! The rest was meant to be under a cut but tumblr is the dumbest shit site coding wise & I made this on mobile, which will not allow you to add read mores anymore. In past this has been no problem bc I can just save as a draft & edit + post on my laptop or edit the second I post & throw in a read-more but apparently now if you make a post on mobile you can never edit it in desktop again. : ) I love that. So fucking much! But this is going to be long now & I physically cannot fix that bc it also won’t let me swap it to html now it’s posted : ) : ) : ) fuck this site : ) —anyway! On a brighter note, here’s my pitch:
Okay! So to start.
First up. Let’s look at what the devs are offering you.
Here are the official body pillows. Now, these aren’t the worst pictures of Anna and David I’ve ever seen, but they’re not great. David’s in his default queue pose, I got no idea wtf Anna’s doing, and neither of them have interesting, good, or attractive poses, lighting, expressions, or detail. Considering this is decently funded company with multiple artists on staff and full body 3D adjustable rendered models of Anna & David on every computer there, it’s lazy as hell. It’s not even as good art as their official sketches or character renders or promo art. They know how to do the work:
They’re just being lazy.
Okay, though, but you really want a body pillow, so what to do? Well, maybe it’ll be cheap enough you don’t care about the quality too much. So, how much will this cost you? For me to ship to myself in the us with the cheapest shipping option, Anna would cost me $80.
Okay, so. That sucks. But you really want this and what else can you do? There’s nothing else to pick.
OH WAIT. Yes there is! So here’s some actually good news for ya 💪
If you want a custom body pillow, you have two options: 1, buy a custom pillow case and a pillow separately, or 2, buy a custom pillow with the image on the pillow print itself. Now, you can get the second option, but it is exponentially more expensive. I’ve seen maybe 60something-70 as the cheapest option for this, although I didn’t spend a ton of time looking. Still, if you want to go full hog, it’s possible. If you don’t mind a pillowcase/the cheaper option, though, (and many pillow cases are custom to the exact specified pillow size and aren’t really noticeable at all), it’s a good deal. For example: A body pillow can be bought at many stores for about 15 bucks. There is some variance in pricing for size, shape, and material, but here I’d like to add the official DbD site doesn’t even list dimensions for their body pillow, let alone material. So, for me to get what I want if I wanted this, I could buy a $15 pillow at a store, and then a pillowcase from a place that I could get it custom made & delivered, IE price + shipping is $30 from here https://www.etsy.com/listing/653983430/custom-21-x-60-zipper-body-pillowcase?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=custom+body+pillow&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&bes=1
So we’re at about $45 right now. (eBay offers cheaper custom pillowcase options but I didn’t want to try to vet sellers for quality & reliability making this post & this is a good price).
This leaves about $35 to commission an artist for something to put on the pillow case. Now, price for commission varies greatly from artist to artist, and full body is the most expensive base option for a single subject, but there’s definitely people offering really freaking incredible commissions at this price, and sometimes even lower. Even though their art should really be worth more than that. Unfortunately, we artists gotta eat. And a lot of the people who buy commissions are also young adults who gotta eat and don’t have a ton of cash. 🤷🏻♀️ So there’s a lot of people who’d be genuinely very happy to be paid for that commission even though it kinda sucks we be there. And if you want to commission someone more expensive, sure you’ll be spending more on the body pillow than DbD officials $80ish. But uh. Would you rather give the same devs who picked the most racist Claudette design they could put into the game for the most recent costume contest $80 for one of these:
Or
Spend $37 for a David of @eggchef ‘s lookin this kinda fine:
https://eggchef.tumblr.com/post/190185302972/david-and-jake-are-both-just-rich-kids-who-said
$40 for a full body Anna of @guud-night ‘s in the style they did this: https://guud-night.tumblr.com/post/185148722468/summer
Or $42 for a full body Anna like this one by @sleazy-art https://sleazy-art.tumblr.com/post/169548091038
or $70 for a full body of @guud-night ‘s in the style of this Anna seen here https://guud-night.tumblr.com/post/165476621798/the-huntress
The fan artists do better work—I mean think of how amazing a pillow could look if your heart cries for one. Vs the low-grade renders the devs be offering. They do so much better it’s like a “Look at your body pillow. Now look at the body pillow the devs told you not to worry about” meme it truly is. TBH, you could screenshot a DbD store screen with Anna or David, edit out the BG in photoshop, and already have a better 3D image than the official offering. 😂 And with an artist? 👌 Mmmmm. Anyway, haha. There was my in-depth pitch to buy from fans instead of official. I was just very motivated to *Robin Williams Genie voice* Illuminate the possibilities! I hope it may have given you inspiration for something even more beautiful than what you thought your heart desired :’-)
#ask#anonymous#dead by daylight#i was gonna just link to posts but auto image for that kept being torsos so i screenshotted blogs including poster/description#& put that with the link each time. so#visual references of artist works are clearly screenshots of the blog in question instead of just the art itself & are lower quality#screenshots. also linked to post in question each time. however! if you dont want the screenshot up in this ask answer or do not want to be#tagged in it @ the three artists i tagged. just message me & as soon as i see the messgae ill take it down#you were all good artists whose commision info id seen/remembered & had David/Anna art up so i wanted to toss the lead your way if anon be#on the prowl for some good ass art commissions#body pillows w charcaters on them actually scare me lol#but i know theyre wildly popular so I guess thats a minority take haha#anon i saw this ask at like 4 am and it was the funniest possible thjng to see at 4am thank you#long post

Reply to @prurientpuddlejumper on this ask:
I’m sorry you’re frustrated or if I offended you somehow, but to be frank I don’t appreciate the tone you’re using here. However, to answer you anyway:
> they def meant the links to these alleged "online generators," because I am in the same boat as anon
First of all, unless you ARE that anon, I don’t think you can say they “def” meant anything, since they never came back to clarify, and I did try my best to answer them the first time, and I seemed to have helped since they didn’t come back to report any problems with my answer.
Second of all, “alleged”? That’s very rude. Just because you cannot see them on tumblr mobile, does not mean they do not exist. Plenty of other people have used them just fine, as evidenced by the many posts submitted to this blog. And as the last two people who’ve asked about mobile access before never came back with problems, I can only assume they simply went on the desktop site to use the generators instead of accusing me that it’s not accessible at all.
> post after post about how you updated the UI or whatnot with no link to the thing you updated
It was only two posts (so far anyway), and if you read them closely, you may have noticed I said I was only working on new updates, that they weren’t done, and that they aren’t out yet. And also that “the current generators are still up” so that people have a fully functional version of the generator to use, even if it’s not as pretty as the update is going to be. So no, there is no “link to the thing I updated”, because it’s not done yet. And as the point of the post was about the updates-to-come, I saw no need to promote a link to the generators that are currently available. Seeing as you want that though, I shall go correct those posts and link it, for your and future readers’ convenience.
I apologize for the misunderstanding, if I wasn’t clear enough about the updates being a work-in-progress. I was just trying to update my actual followers (of which I noticed that you are not one) that I was working on stuff, since this blog is usually pretty quiet.
> I REALLY wanna see it, and am growing increasingly frustrated about how much work you're pouring into this *thing* without giving mobile users any way to *access it*.
Again, I’m sorry this is frustrating to you, and you do bring up some legitimate feedback about the mobile accessibility. As I mentioned, I’ve answered at least two asks about this issue before, but since it’s been a few years and phones have definitely gotten more powerful I can look into developing a proper mobile version. But a lot of issues come up with making a mobile version, namely UI and responsive design (because I’d have to account for both vertical and horizontal orientation, and again I reiterate that UI design is hard), dynamic coding/image generation/data input/font importing and styling/etc., and how to save the actual generated image or at the very least the export/import save data for later use on a desktop browser. It takes a lot of work (more than most people realize, I imagine), so if you would like to help with that, let me know, otherwise you have no right to shame me for not making a mobile version, taking my time, or doing any of this.
As it is, you can actually still access the generator on mobile, just not tumblr mobile. You just have to go to a browser on your phone (there’s a reason my URL is so simple). However, as mentioned above, the template was not designed with mobile in mind, so all the fonts and effects and arrangement on the template itself just looks... not like it’s supposed to. Which, again, is part of the issue with the design, but at least you can access it on mobile, against your claims that you cannot.
Also, I mainly made this a desktop site because of how large the dimensions of the template are, in order to make sure the text is visible/legible even in the downsized preview image. Even when I view the template on my phone, I have to zoom in a lot, and with the current live version of the online generators, it would have made scrolling around to input data annoying. The PSDs, as well, would be inaccessible on mobile as far as I know (if Photoshop Mobile has improved enough to handle all the layers, masks, and effects, I’m unaware) so it was a conscious decision to make this whole thing desktop-only when I first started this blog several years ago.
> Even the "downloads" link you just shared just redirects back to this same page. Which is probably because you've hidden all the links away in "pages" which are completely invisible and inaccessible on the mobile app
It’s very much tumblr’s fault, and I really should have thought of that at first, but again, it was a conscious decision to make this a desktop site. Even if I made rebloggable/viewable posts with the links in them (which I plan to do soon, if only to satisfy mobile users like you), only the PSD download links would work (but again, not sure how well downloading PSDs work on mobile devices), as the tumblr app will still loop back to the blog, since the online generator is still one of those blog “pages”. And that is not changing for as long as I don’t have the time or money to host it on its own domain.
I can’t change the fact that tumblr mobile doesn’t automatically open blog pages in an external browser, so the only solution I can offer you is to take the extra step to copy the url and go into your mobile device’s actual internet browser, or just go to your browser and type in my URL manually.
If you actually couldn’t access the templates at all (which should not be an issue if you “REALLY wanna see it” given that not only did I offer you explanations and solutions for the tumblr app problem, but also that it IS accessible on desktop and you reasonably could have just gone on a computer) or had any other problem with them, I have made no stranger of myself and have always been open to help people. They have been polite or nice when they do talk to me, and I’ve always tried to be cordial in return. Your feedback is legitimate, and I appreciate it, but you really could have worded your implied suggestion a little better. And to be quite honest, I was offended by the rudeness of your reply, especially when you called my hard work a “*thing*”. Those asterisks imply a very negative tone, in case you weren’t aware.
I get the impression that you think that your demand will be fulfilled right away if you make enough fuss about it, but I’m not going to be manipulated or guilt-tripped because you feel bad. Maybe you don’t mean it that way, but you can “grow increasingly frustrated” all you want, because not only am I working on this for free, on my free time, and by myself, but I am also not doing this for you. You’re right that I am pouring a lot of work into this, as much work as any fan artist or fanfiction writer will put into their own works, and I’m very proud of it (both as it is now and what it will be in the future) and I have fun working on it, but this is not my job. And you’re not paying for a service.
I’m not working for anyone, and I have no reason to have made more than I originally did--originally I only made the student template PSDs for some friends, and the generator (which seems to be my most popular template, even though my original focus was on the PSDs) only came about because one of my friends didn’t have Photoshop. And I wasn’t even going to release either of them to the public, but I did, and the villain ones came over a year later because of this blog and the people who follow it. No one asked for a user interface update (in fact, more people have asked for a pro hero template), but I’m doing it anyway because I can and I want to. That’s all this boils down to. Also my free time (if you hadn’t noticed, everything on my blog runs on a queue, and when I do queue stuff it’s usually like 3am or so--including right now... it’s currently 5am actually) and motivation (I’m well aware of how few people actually use the templates compared to how many people follow and reblog the posts, and honestly it’s a little discouraging). So if I do make a mobile version, be aware that it won’t be coming out for a very long time. (Also, I think you’re the only one in several years who has complained about it, and you are literally 1 in... what, 3000+ people? Judging by the number of notes on the original post I made when I started the blog and my current number of followers. And again, you’re not even one of them. So to be honest, I’m really not motivated to work on this quickly.)
If you want it faster? Being nice when you show your interest helps, it’s how I got encouraged to make the villain templates. Though I never asked for much other than patience. Or at the very least, the respect any fandom content creator deserves--I may not be cranking out fanart daily or new chapters of a fanfiction weekly or anything, but I am still providing the fandom with something they can enjoy at no cost. And like reviews on fics or comments on art, many people have expressed that they’re grateful the templates and generators exist at all, unlike you, which is really the reason this blog continues to exist and the generators/templates to be updated with new and improved features. I could have just left my original template generator up there and abandoned it, but I know how it feels to find out a fanart you loved years ago was deleted or a really good fanfic was discontinued. So I’ll continue to work on it, and yes I’ll put mobile compatibility for the generators on my to-do list, but I’ll do it at my own pace.
Also I’m not making money off of this, but hey, if you wanna give me incentive that way, hop into my DMs or something and we’ll talk, but I’ve never asked for donations or anything and I don’t plan to. The generators and templates are free for use, and most of that is because of tumblr, which gave it a platform and a home. If I hosted it on its own domain, I’d need a means to pay for that, and I’m personally not invested enough to do that when tumblr is free and works well enough.
If you or anyone else wants to help change that, come talk to me, the ask box is always open.
Otherwise, please visit this blog page on a desktop browser or at the very least something that isn’t just the tumblr mobile app, because nothing can be done about mobile compatibility right now, and I’d hate for you to miss out on seeing the templates. Hopefully I can look forward to whatever you will create with it.

An Apology
To everyone who’s been around to day and who’s had the misfortune of wondering what in the hell has been going on.
Below the cut as this is going to be lengthy af, just for the record.
Simply put: I was not aware, that on a website where the main medium by which people communicate is reblogs, that there were people who assumed that their followers would not reblog their posts.
Sometime last night or this morning, I reblogged a post from elerondo in the form of a family tree - which I mistakenly assumed was a canon depiction, but was in fact, a personal headcanon (a headcanon they did not which to see reblogged at all).
After doing this, as it was still quite early, I continued with my morning roll-call of social media (tumblr, facebook, instagram, snapchat, discord, etc), and proceeded to the bathroom, and then to shower. Upon exiting the shower, as I sat my ass down, wrapped in a towel and drying, I checked my phone again, and noticed at some point in the last hour, I had received a tumblr message - or three to be exact. You see, I couldn’t have noticed this earlier, as I don’t have notifications enabled on any form of social media. I don’t like to be tied to my phone, and I found that when I did previously, I spent more time on my phone than I would have liked.
The messages are as follows:
Now, these could of course be interpreted as polite, however, I personally felt more like this took the tone of a 3rd and final warning, as opposed to a first interaction.
Note: I have never before today spoken to the owner of this blog, as you can tell from the lack of messages prior to this morning.
Now, despite the very stiff tone of those messages, my initial reaction was to immediately delete the post, and to then go back to the message to reply and say that I had done so, only to find that I could send a message back.
I thought several things:
- Maybe they don’t have messages enabled (unlikely as they had sent me a message).
- Maybe they enabled it to send the message and disabled it immediately after (again, unlikely, I told myself, as tumbler would probably has deleted the message or something).
- Maybe I have universal messages enabled, whereas they only have “followers” enabled (which, again, is strange, because I was following them, but still, I thought maybe I didn’t remember the options clearly, and opted to send an ask instead).
The ask would have read something as follows:
The post was deleted. Could you at least tell me why, since I’m not a fan of one-sided conversations that benefit no one, and I can’t seem to send you a message back?
Note: I can’t confirm the exact wording as I didn’t copy the message before sending it.
Note: I thought it funny that the blog wasn’t loading as I went to send the ask from mobile, but let’s all be honest here, who hasn’t experienced technical difficulties with tumblr - especially tumblr mobile?
I thought it was weird, but I was in the bathroom, in the innermost part of our appartment, in a giant building made on concrete. I could be sitting by the window sometimes and not get cell reception, much less expect the wifi to travel all the way down the hall is still function at maximum capacity. So yeah, I let it go.
I got up. I dried my hair. I got dressed. I made my bed and sat down at my computer... But a thought was still nagging at me. The blog was still not loading properly on my phone an hour later, so I loaded the message on my computer. Fine. I checked the blog. Fine. I clicked-through on the pm. Bingo!
Nothing. Or whatever the tumblr message is for “you’re not seeing anything here because you’ve been blocked.”
At this point, I won’t lie, I was pretty insulted. In under an hour, I’d been sassed and blocked by someone I’ve literally never spoken to in my life, for doing nothing more than what’s expected of all of us on this god-forsaken hellsite - reblogging a post.
I was upset - angry, even - but I was nearly content to leave it be. However, going back to my first point that the messages struck me as though they were saying “you should know this.”
So I went back to the post and read it over again... No warning. I checked the tags... No warning. I checked the blog description... No warning. I checked their about page... No warning. I checked their rules page... No warning. Something similar about “interactions” - threads? - but nothing about headcanons. No warning whatsoever that this person didn’t want their headcanons reblogged.
Hence the posts you saw from me here, and on my other blog, regarding the reblog function being the cornerstone of tumblr (and elerondo, more like elerond-no).
I decided to take the matter up with a few friends. I thought, yknow, maybe I’m over-reacting? Maybe I imagined this entire slight? Maybe the message I sent is what made them block me? I don’t even know...
I recounted what happened - to a handful of people now - and each of them weighed in, each of them claiming that they hade never before heard of people not wanting their headcanons reblogged - despite this clearly being what OP was upset about.
Note also that while I made these posts on my own blogs, blogs that were blocked by the OP, I was greeted with notes from a certain thisblogisgettingdeleted.
Now listen, I wouldn’t normally have made a fuss of it, but as this person insta-blocked me (effectively making sure I wouldn’t have a means to reply to them with), but made the very clear effort to make sure I knew they’d seen my messages, I felt rightly insulted.
At this point, I decided that since the only way to communicate with them would be through a blog that wasn’t blocked, I’d need to create a new one, and in order for the message to be posted if they ever replied to it the message would need to be anonymous.
That said, it certainly didn’t come out as nicely as my first message would have:
I made this side-blog for the express purpose to reiterrating my original message, and informing them that they were mistaken in assuming that it was “common knowledge” that people shouldn’t reblog headcanons. And that I thought their manner of going about things was childish at best, though obviously left that part out.
To this, they responded as follows:
Now, I don’t know if everyone is reading this the same way as me, but my first and foremost impression of this, upon reading it was that “first of all, I wasn’t passive-aggressive. I was full-on aggressive,” struck me as an odd choice of words.
Surely, being full-on aggressive shouldn’t be something to brag about?
Note the following “you can’t accept that I blocked you,” preceeded by their creating of a side-blog to not only revisit my blog, but to interact there as well.
Followed closely by myself not being civil for not sending them a simple message... Note the steps I had to go through for them to even get this one.
Here they mention messaging me with their request, and their request not being met... An hour, guys. A single fucking hour - in which I shit you not, I was in the shower. That’s what I was given to respond to this. And yo, that’s the amount of time between when I checked my tumblr. That’s not even guaranteeing they sent me that message right after I switched apps. For all I know it could have been 30 minutes, or less.
Note: “do not reblog my ooc posts if it doesn’t include you,” still does not refer to headcanons, and I foresee them having this exact problem again in the future.
Now I was presumed to be online because I was still reblogging things... A mistake on our dear OPs part. Dears and dolls, if you’ve been following me for any significant period of time, then you know my queue is always full. Ergo, my blog is always running, even when I’m not around.
For this person whom I have never spoken to to assume anything about my life, much less to assume that I’m around to cater to their every whim, frankly astounds me. Even if I was online, which I wasn’t, I wouldn’t necessarily have seen the message right away eg. if I was on my computer and had a dozen or more tabs open, if I was in the process of looking at another blog, which cuts off the tool bar, or whatever other scenario.
Following this post, several comments were added by both OP and a follower of theirs:
After comments like these, I’m supposed to believe that “a message saying [I] have deleted of sth would have sufficed for [them] to unblock?”
Highly. Doubtful.
That said, I took it upon myself to also message the person in these comments, as they clearly weren’t going to waste any more time than OP did in finding out what happened.
As you can see from the following, they fare no better:
Blocked. Again.
Deserved? At this point, I don’t even care.
For those who were around to see it, my response to elerondo’s post was made on my personal dump as it was the only place associated with my main blog that would be able to post it.
For those who didn’t, you can find it HERE, or below:
In the end, I’m not writing this because I want this shit to keep going. I’m writing it because I got a lot of advice from various different people and the truth is this...
TL;DR:
The apology is for those of you who’ve been wondering what’s going on all day, not for the persons involved.
I did not send the message anonymously because I wanted to be anonymous. I really don’t care either way, because what I did was was not wrong. In no way is reblogging a god damn post on tumblr, of all places, wrong. However, the initial response I got, and the confirmation that it was indeed meant to be aggressive, have shown me that elerondo - and likely the company they keep as well - have no interest in being polite, or even in remaining civil, but instead are quick to insult and play the victim.
In essence...
Talk shit.
Get hit.
And if you can’t handle it, you probably shouldn’t be on the internet.
Sincerely,
Me.
#LONG AS POST#but probably the most detailed thing you'll get#because OP clearly doesn't care to wait around for more than half an hour for an explanation#andii's stuff

Over/Under
Barian had been mopping the floor for approximately 12 minutes when he was interrupted. Not that he didn't welcome the interruption, for usually cleaning was a job he assigned to someone else, but nevertheless he found himself mildly annoyed as a man materialised in front of him with a muffled crack. He stepped back to avoid getting water on his immaculately white suit.
"Please. We have a front desk for a reason you know." Barian said as he waved the smell of sulphur away. He had often wondered why he wasn't used to it by now, as despite smelling it almost on a daily basis it still forced him to crinkle his nose.
"Uhhhh...."
"Desk. At the front. Big queue, you can't miss it." At the man's continued confusion Barian sighed and dropped his mop. "Alright then, I'll help you this time. But only this time." He practically dragged the man to his feet and set off towards the door.
"Who...who are you?" The man asked with a quivering voice. He was dressed in clothes that looked tattered and torn, as though he had been mauled by a bear, and next to Barian's gelled hair and white suit he looked even worse.
"I am Barian, general manager and secretary to Lucifer himself. And you are?"
"Leo. I don't – I don't have any titles."
Barian shrugged. "Doesn't matter too much down here." As they exited the room Leo was given a sight of what looked like the entrance to a bank, albeit a very, VERY large one. A line of desks stretched into the distance, far beyond the limit of Leo's eyesight, and in front of each one was a queue of between 100 and 250 people. Behind the desks was one long wall, punctuated by doors every so often, and it was from one of these doors that the pair had come out of. Barian looked at the queues and groaned.
"I forgot, there's a war going on at the moment. Tell you what, since I'd rather sort you out quickly I'll take you to the boss myself. If anyone asks then you waited in the queue. Got it?"
Leo had enough sense to nod. "But who is your boss?"
Barian stared. "You kidding me? I even told you his name already! Come on, you seriously never heard of – ah forget it. Come on." Barian pulled out a set of keys that jangled loudly, putting one in the door they had come out of. After some jiggling and muttered curses, the lock turned and the door opened. Except it was not the same room. Inside was what looked like a large ballroom, occupied by nothing but a desk with a computer on it. A man sat at the desk, studiously typing away, and there was another empty chair for visitors to sit on. Barian dragged Leo to the chair and sat him on it.
"Did you finish up in 37B Barian?" The man asked.
"Not yet, got interrupted. Queue jumper. I'll leave him with you." Barian turned on his heel and left, the sound of his jangling keys following him. The man typed for a few seconds longer before pushing the computer to the side and addressing Leo.
"Now then, my name is Lucifer. I hear you appear to have skipped the queues out there."
"I don't know how I got here, I just –"
"Alright alright, first things first. Let me find you on the system." Lucifer typed for a few seconds, and Leo took the opportunity to look at him. He was dressed simply, a plain black shirt and jeans, hair cut very short. No rings, necklaces, jewellery of any kind. Suddenly something clicked for Leo: Barian had mentioned the queues were due to war, and the boss was called Lucifer...
"Am I in hell?" Leo blurted out. Lucifer looked up at him.
"I should think that's a bit obvious. It's not exactly easy to arrive here accidentally. Though..." He frowned. "I can't find you on here. Now it could be a computer error but Belerus assures me that is not possible. So option two is that you are not meant to be here." Leo squirmed in his seat as warmth flushed through him.
"Am I... am I dead?"
"Well now that's an interesting question. The fact that you are here suggests yes, but if you're not on the system then you are not officially terminated." Leo felt warmth flush through him again, stronger this time, and little beads of sweat formed on his upper lip. "I believe the best thing to do is to give it some time, allow your representation to –"
With a crack and a smell of sulphur, Leo disappeared again. Lucifer frowned, and after a moment's contemplation pulled a mobile out of his back pocket and pressed a speed dial.
"Belerus? It's me. I need you to run something through the simulations for me. Yes, that one. Yes, I just want to check it. Okay. No, I'm not your chef, there's a snack machine in the corridor. You asked for the damn thing. Okay. Okay bye." Lucifer pocketed the phone, sighed, and returned to his computer.
Leo opened his eyes. Or rather, he opened one of them – the other had something in it. His right arm was held in a cage of twisted metal, the bicep pierced by what looked like part of a door. One of his legs was dangling in front of him, the joint twisted beyond normal angles. He was held in place by something that he recognised as a seat belt, the ends disappearing into the broken branches and car parts around him. There was a person crouched over him, beaming. Leo couldn't quite tell what was happy about this situation, but then he did not have the context. The defibrillators should have been a giveaway.
For 2 minutes and 13 seconds, Leo Brazikin had been clinically dead.
*
"Look, do you realise the implications of what you're asking me to do?" The doctor put his pen down, giving Leo his full attention. "You're not even off crutches, let alone healthy enough to undergo this sort of thing."
"2 months ago I died, Dr Massan. I died, and I saw where I was going. Now I want to go back, and this is the only way I know how." Leo shifted in the chair. It was an uncomfortable plastic one, and with his leg still in plaster it was proving impossible to find a good position. He sighed. "Look at me. They say the leg will never heal fully, the break was too severe. I'll have problems for the rest of my life."
"The fact that you even have a life is enough reason to reconsider. You have no idea how lucky you were to live. The fact they didn't amputate that leg is even more astonishing."
"It might as well have been amputated." Leo said with a frown. "I've looked everywhere, you're the only person who could undertake this. You've been researching clinical death for nearly 20 years."
"Yes, preventing it. Not causing it." Massan dragged a hand down his face. "This is clinical death, not clinical sleep, or clinical rest. Death. The risks in doing this are immense."
"With respect Doctor, it is not your place to decide what I can or cannot do with my life."
"With respect," Massan retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "I'm not just worried about you. Let's say something goes wrong. I'm left standing over a dead body that I personally killed. Manslaughter, 5 years minimum. And there's no way out, it's only your word that can save me, and it's not like I can drag that out of you when you're a slab of cold meat on the table. This is just as risky for you as it is for me!"
"Doctor, please. I... I don't have anywhere else to go." Leo looked down for a moment, gathering himself. Massan let the silence hang in the air for several seconds before breaking it.
"If we're going to attempt this we need rules."
Leo looked up in joy. "Oh thank you so –"
"Shush. Rules. Listen. First rule is that you write a will extenuating me should you die. Unfortunately that's pretty much going to be a signed suicide note, so you cannot show or discuss this with anyone."
"I'm single and my parents are long gone. Who would I talk to?"
"Alright. Second rule is length. No longer than 30 seconds."
Leo frowned. "Why?"
"The longer you're out the greater the risk of brain injury. 3 minutes is the cutoff point for full recovery, After that it's virtually guaranteed you'll wake up with some brain damage. The only way to extend that is through induced hypothermia and I don't want to risk any further complications. You've already been through a 2 minute death, doing another one is asking for trouble." Massan stood up, pushing his chair back and walking to the window.
"Anything else?"
"Last rule." Massan turned to face Leo. "You do everything I say. If I say jump you say how high. Most of the potential damage from this will be while you're conscious, and if I can't do the proper procedures then the chances of brain damage are very high. So Listen. To. Me." Massan smacked his hand on the windowsill to emphasise each word. "I'll need to prepare a room out of the way, plus get hold of some equipment. I'll message you the address and date.
Leo stood up. "Thank you Doctor. You have no idea what this means to me."
Massan sighed and turned back to the window. "No, I don't. I never do. I just do what I think is right. Don't prove me wrong. Now get out before I change my mind."
*
"Uhh. Hi God. It's me." Leo looked up. The stained glass window above him was supposed to depict some kind of religious scene, but he couldn't really tell what exactly. He didn't exactly live in the most opulent area, and so he reasoned that it was likely done a little cheaply. "So it's been a while huh? A few years I think. Okay a lot of years. I'm not good at this." Leo looked around. He was sitting on one of the front pews of the church, bathed in orange and yellow light from the window. Or he would have been if the weather wasn't cloudy.
"I don't know if I should kneel, or like, bow. Or do something besides sitting. Not sure if it even matters. You're probably ignoring me anyway. I would." Leo sighed. "So I'm here because, well, I guess you could call it an old habit. My mother used to bring me here, take me to confession. I would sit in a booth and tell some guy that I took a chocolate from the sweet cupboard at night, and he would tell me to say some prayer I don't remember, then everything would be fine. You were supposed to admit your sins or something. And that's what I'm here for. I want to get something off my chest." He paused for a second. "Am I crazy?" He waited for an answer. For a godly sign, a beam of light coming from the heavens. But there was nothing. "I died, then I lived, now I'm about to die again. Except this time I'm dragging someone else into it. If I die, he takes the blame. I feel...guilty. You know? Like he has to deal with me because I can't. I don't know if that counts as a sin or not, but it's worth admitting I think." For a moment the sun found a gap through the clouds, shining through the main window onto Leo. Had it been slightly earlier it could have looked like a godly sign, however now it just looked like the sun shining through a slightly crappy stained glass window. Leo looked at his phone again, at the single message from Dr Massan. He sighed and stood up as the light faded.
"Keep an eye out for me God. I know I've been a dick in the past but just this one time. I'll say however many prayers you want. I'll even go to church. I really will. Do this for me and I'll do something for you. I promise. For whatever that's worth." Leo stood up and made to leave, but he stopped for just a second. He gave as much time as he dared for an answer to materialise. But nothing came, and he carried on out of the church muttering to himself. "I'm asking a goddamn window if I'm crazy. Way to go Leo, good job. Gold star."
*
"Ah there you are. Come on, quickly." Massan led Leo down, down, into the basement of the building. After a few too many stairs for Leo's liking they arrived at the designated room. It was large but undecorated, with a cracked concrete floor and ventilation pipes snaking through the roof like worms; the sort of room you held kidnapped people in, Leo thought with a morbid smirk. In the middle was a hospital bed, with several other pieces of equipment surrounding it. Most were complicated looking medical machines that Leo did not recognise, all hooked up to an extension lead going to the corner of the room. One looked rather worryingly like a refrigerator.
"Oh ignore that." Massan noticed Leo staring at it. "It's an ice machine. We'll only need that if things go wrong. Lie down please."
Leo laid down on the bed, fully clothed, as Massan began attaching electrodes to various parts of his body.
"So you're not going to be in the same position as last time. Last time was full cardiac and respiratory cessation, due to shock and having a big hole in your lung." Massan finished attaching electrodes and turned to a machine behind him. Leo could hear the beep, beep, beep of his heart ticking away. The sound of his continued existence, spelled out in monotone notes. "I'm going to induce ventricular fibrillation using a large AC shock. I would tell you how big this shock will be, but to be honest I don't want to frighten you. Take off your shirt and spread this on your chest." Massan gave Leo what looked like a tub of hair gel.
"What's this for?"
"It's so you don't have defibrillator shaped scars on your chest. At this voltage these things will burn your skin without protection, and I don't have the equipment to deal with an infection here. Plus if you show up at a hospital with defibrillator burns they'll start asking questions, which is the last thing I need." Massan pulled out two paddles, rubbing them together as they charged. They made a faint high pitched whine as they did, and Leo eyed them nervously.
"Is this going to hurt?"
"I'm afraid so. I can't get hold of any decent painkillers without going through procedures and they would never approve this. Unless you want to start downing paracetamol now I suggest you don't think about it. It's a very short shock." Massan placed the paddles on Leo's chest, pulling out a stopwatch as he did so. "3, 2, 1, clear."
Leo looked up. The roof was far above him, which meant he was lying down. But he wasn't lying in the bed. Instead he was in a big room. Someone was looking down at him. Someone familiar.
"You again. Most perplexing." Lucifer shook his head. "Alright I'll bite. What do you want?"
"I want to understand." Leo said as he stood up, his legs shaky. His chest ached, a deep throbbing pain that reverberated through his body. "What is this place? How does it work? What happens?"
"I don't deal with the technical side of things down here. But I know someone who does." Lucifer walked towards the door, pulling out his keys as he did. After a quick fiddle with the lock the door opened to what looked like a laboratory, full of giant glass tubes and computer banks. A small man in a lab coat and sunglasses was busy at one of the machines.
"What now? I'm busy." The main said. His voice was nasally and thin, tinged with annoyance.
"Leo, this is Belerus. He's our chief of technology down here, and if anyone can tell you about how we work, it's him. Now don't bother me again unless it's important." Lucifer practically shoved Leo through the door and slammed it behind him. Belerus finished at his machine and turned around, grinning.
"I heard about you. Barian couldn't keep a secret if his lips were glued together. Although being asked to run some very specific simulations was a hint."
"What exactly is this place?"
"Really? That's the question you want to open with? I should think that was pretty obvious." He spread his arms. "Welcome to Hell. Purgatory. Shak'delar. The Cycle. Whatever you want to call it. Every culture has some inkling of what happens after death, and though the words change the intent is the same. This is where you go when you die."
"I thought there was a heaven as well as hell?" Leo frowned.
"Depends who you ask. As far as I know there's only one place after death, and that's here. Thing is what you're seeing is technically a communal mental representation of what you think this place looks like. Your subconscious is deciding everything for you." Belerus walked over to Leo, and as he did Leo realised just how small he was. The man was barely 4 feet tall, his lab coat tails dragging on the floor. His smile was greasy, a little too forced. "So right now your body is a subconscious mental projection of your self. Effectively you're walking around in your subconscious body. This place can therefore be treated as both heaven and hell in a sense. It's your subconscious that decides which one you see. You judge yourself guilty or innocent. It's quite beautiful actually."
Leo felt warmth flush through him and realised Massan was trying to bring him back. "What about you? Do you actually work here? What do you do?"
"Oh a bit of this, and a bit of that." Belerus pushed his sunglasses further up his nose. "That's not important though. I anticipate we're running out of time."
"What – how do you know?"
"You're not the first." Belerus said simply. "I'll explain later but I need more time to confirm. I need you to die for longer really. I don't have enough time to run any simulations on you. Come and see me again when you can stay for longer." Leo felt the warmth again, stronger, and he closed his eyes.
*
"Come on, stay with me. ShitShitShit!" Massan threw the set of paddles to the side and pulled out another pair, these ones hooked up to a car battery. He glanced at the clock. 51. 52. 53. "Come on you bastard, get back here! Come on!" He let the charge go, Leo's slight frame jumping as the electricity contracted his muscles. And then with a gasping breath he opened his eyes.
"I – urgh – ack" Leo tried to speak but found he couldn't.
"Quiet. Lie still." Massan began lumping ice onto the bed, covering Leo in it. Once done he pulled out a syringe, and after a quick inspection, promptly injected Leo in the neck with it.
"Urgh"
"What's your name?" At Leo's blank expression Massan sighed. "I need to know if there's any damage. Your speech will recover once blood circulates, cognitive function should be immediate. Name. Now."
"Leurgh"
"Close enough. How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Fouurgh"
"Good." Massan sighed and collapsed into a nearby chair, wiping sweat off his forehead. "This is crazy. You're crazy. What the hell am I doing here performing the medical equivalent of mad science in the basement? That's it. No more. I'm done." The basement was quiet save for heavy breathing and the beeping of Leo's heart, still struggling onwards.
*
"No way. Not after last time."
"He told me I needed to die for longer."
"He could tell you to jump on one leg and sing songs for all I care!" Massan threw his hands up. "Who told you this anyway?"
"Belerus. He runs the technical side of things in the afterlife."
Massan tilted his head. "You know, at first I thought you were making this stuff up. But nobody is this exact with lies. You talk to me about the same things over and over, and you're almost convincing. But I just can't. I'm sorry, but last time was far too close. You were dead for 50 seconds, somehow you didn't suffer any major brain damage but god knows how."
Leo quietly wondered about that. His memory had been worse since he woke up, and he pondered if he really did avoid brain damage. Or if he would even notice it if it occurred. "Massan please. I'm begging you."
"You did that already, and It worked the first time. But no more." Massan sighed. "You have to understand how abhorrent this is to me. I took an oath, Leo. A code I've lived by for nearly 30 years. On top of that what you're asking me to do is something that I have been actively researching to prevent for 20 years. This is something I have dedicated my life against, and you're asking me to cause it. God knows why I even agreed to this in the first place, but it goes against everything I've lived and worked for. Please understand." He leaned back in his chair. "I don't have anything against you personally. I honestly hope you find someone else to help you in this, I really do. But it cannot be me anymore."
"I see." Leo slumped in his chair. Massan looked at him for a moment.
"Look I'll tell you what. You want purpose in this life? Let me give you something. I've got to clear all that stuff out of the basement later today, why don't you come help me with that? It'll take your mind off things."
Leo shrugged, but beneath the nonchalant exterior the gears of his mind were turning. "Guess I don't have anything else to do. What time?"
"7:30 exactly. There's a gap in the schedule that we have to hit. We'll have a 30 minute window, otherwise we'll be explaining why we're carrying hospital equipment to the next janitor. So be punctual." Massan turned to his computer, and Leo stood up to leave.
"Oh and Leo? Life is great. Trust me, I work at keeping it." Massan chuckled to himself.
"Yes. Yes it is." With that Leo left the room, crutches clicking as he walked.
*
Leo looked at his watch as he entered the basement. The equipment was all still there, the defirbillators, the hospital bed, unmade and covered in ice. It was odd to think that this was his deathbed, both metaphorically and literally. He brushed the ice off the bed, clicking on the machines as he did so. He wasn't sure what for but they felt necessary somehow. He couldn't find the electrodes however so instead of a steady repetitive beep the machine simply registered a flat monotone line. It was unsettling, as though he had already died. Another glance at his watch. 7:28. After a moment's searching he found the defibrillators, the cold metal heavy in his hands. A quick search found the switch to turn them on, hooked up to the extension lead, and Leo lay in the bed. He couldn't find the gel, so he simply left his shirt on. As the defibrillators charged with a faint whine he looked up at the roof, the fluorescent tube lighting illuminating the weathered ceiling, the silvery grey of ventilation pipes like jewellery on a scarred body. The earrings and tongue piercings of the building, Leo thought with a smirk. Funny what the mind jumps to when it's about to die. 7:29. Leo placed the defibrillators on his chest, and took a deep breath. Then another. Then another. He muttered "Clear." to nobody in particular. Then he pressed the button.
*
"How long was it between the sessions?"
"A day and a half, more or less." Leo thought back. "Why?"
"I need the data for the simulation. Come." Belerus beckoned Leo over to a large machine, typing some numbers on a small calculator he was holding. There was a screen at the bottom of the machine, and the scientist gave it a few meaningful taps. It began to show a complex mathematical formula, something Belerus evidently understood as he gave a few excited claps.
"And that is...."
"So time doesn't run parallel down here. At the point of death your mind speeds up, it works overtime to find a way to save you. As far as we can tell that overclocking of your brain carries over to down here, hence time runs faster down here than it does up there." Belerus waved his hands distractedly. "Well I say time runs faster, in fact that's a lie. You're just thinking faster. Time isn't a fixed linear progression, it's in a state of flux that varies depending on our perception of the world around us. You think that the passage of time influences your perception of the world, whereas it's the other way around. Your perception speeds up or slows down time."
"I don't get it." Leo was struggling to keep up, and Belerus sighed.
"Basically time runs faster here. The question was how much faster, and now I know." He gestured at the screen. "Taking your mental calculation speed as a base value time is exactly 12.67 seconds per second down here. For every second you spend up there, 12.67 seconds passes down here. Well I say exactly, it's pretty hard to calculate mindspeed but –"
"Wait, how long have we been here for?"
"About 20 minutes."
Leo's heart dropped. "Massan should be here by now. He should be trying to get me up. Where is he?"
"Massan?"
"Someone on the other side. A doctor. He's been getting me here. I.... I tricked him in order to come here this time." Leo looked up at the ceiling in hope.
*
"Sorry I'm late, I had to dodge a few questions. Some of my old colleagues work here and –" Massan stopped. He saw the bed. Leo asleep on it. The defibrillators half charged, dangling from the side. His formidable mind put the pieces of evidence together, sent the compiled report to his brain, and after digesting for a second it came to a conclusion.
"You didn't. No way. No bloody way." He ran over to the bed, but he knew in his heart that Leo wasn't just asleep. "You stupid, selfish, son of a-" He picked up the defibrillators left on the bed but they were still charging, useless to him. The backup pair were hooked up, and he pulled them out. The ECG was still registering no heartbeat, the electrodes dangling uselessly, and the tone mocked him as he pulled up the paddles. Without even hesitating he fired them. Compression. Wait. Discharge. Compression. Wait. Discharge. Compression. It wasn't working.
"Come on you bastard, come on. I'm not going to jail for you. Not like this. No way." He charged the paddles again.
*
"What are you waiting for?" Belerus had a notepad out and a pen poised and ready.
"It feels warm when he shocks me, like a hot flush. He should have arrived a minute ago. I should feel something, anything. But I don't." He noticed Belerus was scribbling furiously. "Will you stop that? This is serious!"
Belerus' phone rang, and he held up a finger at Leo as he pulled it out. After a moment's nodding, and a few affirmatives, he ended the call and turned to him.
"That was the boss, he rang to say you're officially turned up on the system." He held his hands apart. "Congratulations. You've officially died."
*
Massan leant back. The last charge had only produced meagre sparks: he was out of juice. The extension lead was no longer connected. He was out of options. He looked at Leo lying peacefully on the bed, the result of his endeavours. For the first time in 22 years, Massan sat on the floor and, in between muffled curses, began to quietly cry.
*
"What do you mean I'm dead?"
"I'm not sure how you can misinterpret that sentence." Belerus tilted his head. "Besides, what is one world to another? You can be perfectly happy down here. I could even take you on as my assistant."
"I can't." Leo was panicking now. "I have to get back." He grabbed Belerus by the shoulders, practically shaking the man. "You have to help me, there must be a way. There has to be."
"Well, there is a way." Belerus frowned. "Come with me. Quietly." He led Leo through a small door, closing it behind him. In the room was what looked like a table, upright, with manacles on the corners. Various equipment surrounded it, some appearing to be medical in nature, others...less so, Leo thought with a dull flash of fear.
"What is this place?"
"Nothing you need concern yourself about. Hop in." He gestured to the table. Leo stood against it and Belerus closed the manacles around his wrists and ankles.
"What happens when you kill something that's already dead?" Belerus muttered under his breath.
"What was that?"
"Oh nothing. I must thank you really. I've wanted to try something like this for a while, and simulations are only so good. After a certain point more substantial evidence is required." Belerus turned away, and when he turned back he was holding what looked like a very large needle attached to a cable. "Don't worry about this, it'll hurt for only a moment. It looks scary but it's not that bad, I assure you. I have no other way of delivering the charge to your heart sadly."
"What?"
"I'm going to kill you." Belerus said with a grin. "I don't know if this will work or not, but we shall see. Are you ready?" Leo nodded. "Alright then. On the count of three. One. Two." Belerus plunged the needle into his chest and Leo's world flashed white.
*
Massan jumped. The last vestiges of electricity leaving Leo's body had caused it to jump. For just a second he thought it had made a noise. He looked at Leo intently for a few seconds, but the body was as still as a...well, as a corpse, Massan thought with a mirthless smile. He turned away again.
*
"Wait what was that? I need longer! That was no time at all!"
"I can't." Belerus threw the needle down, the cable clattering on the floor. "What did you see?"
"I saw... there. The real word. But only for a second." Leo looked down at his chest, at the hole the needle had produced. It reminded him of a particularly nasty insect sting, not something that he would associate with a hole going towards his heart.
"The time difference. You saw it for about a 12th of a second if my calculations are accurate."
"I need longer."
"I told you I can't." Belerus frowned. "The body that you see here is a coalescence of your subconscious. I ran a large charge through it for about 2 minutes already, any longer and it'll start to dissipate."
"What do you mean dissipate?"
"It just... goes." Belerus waved his hands in the air, then grimaced. "Look I'm a scientist, I don't like admitting that I don't know something. Down here there are things that I know or things that I will know, nothing else. The coalescence just vanishes if you run too much charge through it, I think it just destabilises the brain, cauterises it somehow."
"How can you know? You've never done this before."
"I told you before. There were others." Belerus said darkly, scratching the back of his head. "I'm not a good person. But I tell the truth. And before you ask no, we can't go again. Your subconscious needs time to settle. Maybe a week or two." He walked over and unbuckled Leo from the table as he talked.
"A week!? I – woah." Upon trying to stand Leo found it difficult to even stay upright.
"You're just had a massive charge run through you for nearly 2 continuous minutes. Your subconscious will struggle to stay together for a while, so take it easy."
"I'm coming back. As soon as I can, I'm coming back. If I have to get a message up there a half second at a time then I will."
Belerus shrugged. "It's your call. Just do me a favour and get some rest in between."
"No guarantees."
*
Detective Inspector Marinetto looked around. This late nobody was in the station, which was perfect for his needs. In the room in front of him was the victim of case 1437. Cause of death apparently defibrillation, suspect apprehended and convicted of manslaughter. Though the times varied slightly, every 4 days the body would jerk and make a noise. His superior had ordered him to get rid of the body, but he was a detective at heart, and he couldn't leave a problem unsolved. So he had pulled some strings to get it and place it under surveillance. He had pieced together the recordings of each noise, and something was starting to become clear. After nearly 12 incidents he had the makings of what looked like a word.
"I'm." He muttered to himself. The body was saying something, and it began with I'm. I'm what? Alive? Here? Marinetto shivered. Eventually he would figure it out. He always did in the end. It was just a matter of time. He clicked his pen, shut his notebook, and without another sound left the station, leaving the body to wail its message into the waiting lens of the camera and the open arms of the dark night.

Best Business Phone Systems
Disclosure: This content is reader-supported, which means if you click on some of our links that we may earn a commission.
Phone communication plays a critical role in today’s business landscape. Practically every business, regardless of size or industry, needs to have a business phone system.
This statement holds true for freelancers and single-member LLCs to Fortune 500 enterprises with thousands of employees across multiple locations.
There’s just one problem—finding the best option for your business. With hundreds, if not thousands, of choices to consider, narrowing down the top pick for your business can feel like a daunting task.
Fortunately, I’ve handled all the heavy lifting for you. After spending countless hours researching and testing different business phone systems, I’ve picked the top six that I can recommend with conviction.

How to Choose the Best Business Phone System For You
Before we get into the specifics of reviewing each business phone system, you need to understand the methodology behind my research. There are certain feature sets and considerations that must be evaluated as you’re shopping around for different plans.
Keep these factors in mind as you continue through this guide and read my reviews.
Deployment Method
Generally speaking, there are two main ways to deploy a phone system for your business—cloud or on-premises. Historically speaking, most business phone systems have been on-site. However, cloud systems and VoIP technology have been growing in popularity.
If you don’t want your phone system tied to physical landlines, offices, and specific devices, then cloud deployment is definitely your best option. But if you prefer a more traditional phone line, then on-premises will work just fine for your situation.
Physical Phone Systems
Do you need to purchase physical hardware for your phone system?
Again, if you’re looking for a traditional office phone that’s sitting on a specific desk with a hardwire connection, then you’ll need to buy those phones. In this scenario, it’s usually in your best interest to buy hardware directly from the phone system provider. Hardware is rarely packaged into your plan, so keep that in mind as you’re shopping around. Actual phones, headsets, etc. will cost extra.
The beauty of cloud phone systems is that you can make and receive calls from anywhere. You and your staff can leverage your existing devices for this (laptops, desktops, smartphones, etc.).
Not only will this make your business phone system easily accessible, but it’s also more cost-effective.
User Size and Scalability
How many people will be using your business phone system?
Is it just you? Is it 5-10 people? 500? 5,000? The answer to this question will definitely have an impact on your decision. Certain systems are designed for individuals, while others are made for small teams and small businesses. Alternatively, there are business phone systems designed for huge organizations with thousands of users across multiple locations.
Primary Communication Needs
There are plenty of general-purpose business phone systems. But some are designed with specific use cases in mind.
For example, there are business phone systems for customer support centers, outbound sales, and inbound phone orders. There are even solutions built for internal communication, such as conference calling and video chat.
So determine your primary communication need, then start your search from there.
Plan Features
Lots of business phone systems try to improve their market position by giving you lots of “extras” and features included free in your plan. But these are kind of useless if you’re never actually going to use them.
I’m referring to things like visual voicemail, hold music, automated answering, call forwarding, call attendants, texting, etc. The list goes on and on. These features are either provided all-inclusive with your plan or get offered at tiered pricing levels.
My recommendation is this—don’t pay extra for features you didn’t know existed five minutes ago. Stick to the features you know you’ll use. If you get a few bonus ones, that’s great. But don’t fall victim to great marketing by these providers.
Phone Numbers
Do you want to keep your existing phone number? Are you looking for an 800 number? Vanity number? Toll-free numbers?
Some of you will be looking for all of these; others just want a single line for basic use. Most business phone systems will offer a wide range of different phone number options. But the pricing and offerings vary from provider to provider.
Just know that you might have to pay extra for things like toll-free calling and international phone numbers.
The Different Types of Business Phone Systems
Business phone systems aren’t really a one-size-fits-all product. Most people don’t realize it, but there are actually several different types of phone systems out there. I’ll explain each one in greater detail below to give you a better understanding as you’re shopping around and evaluating plans.
VoIP Phone Systems
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP for short) has quickly become one of the most popular types of phone systems for business users. As the name implies, the system is based on an IP connection. Rather than setting up complicated wires and landlines, a VoIP system just uses the same Internet connection that your organization already has.
VoIP systems are generally cost-effective and easy to set up. However, they rely on a strong Internet connection. So if you have spotty service, this won’t really work for your business.
Analog Phone Systems
Analog systems use POTS—plain old telephone service.
Think of a traditional landline phone system. That’s an analog service. It uses copper lines and connections between your system and carrier. As a result, analog phones have exceptional call quality and reliability.
However, analog phones lack the features associated with newer types of phone systems. They’ll still offer basic phone features (hold, mute, call waiting, speaker, speed dial, redial, etc.), but you won’t get too much more. Overall, analog technology is pretty dated.
PBX Phone Systems
PBX stands for “private branch exchange.” This is also referred to as a digital phone system.
It’s common for PBX systems to have an extensive feature list with lots of applications. These solutions are great for businesses that want to customize their phone system with various add-ons and upgrades.
Hybrid Phone Systems
Hybrid phones offer digital and IP functionality. These solutions have been growing in popularity because of their versatility.
Most business owners that purchase a digital phone system lean towards hybrid options. This will give them the opportunity to expand and scale in the future using IP protocols. It’s also common for hybrid systems to include features like fax and email integrations.
To ensure high-quality voice, the hybrid phone system must have a strong network connection. The quality is limited to the type of phone service that’s delivering it. A robust Internet connection is the best way to ensure call quality.
Cloud Phone Systems
The terms “cloud” and “hosted” are often used interchangeably in the world of business phone services. With a cloud system, you likely won’t need any on-site hardware (aside from your existing routers and data switches).
It’s easy for anyone to manage a cloud phone system, including your staff. All of the customization and management can be handled directly from a simple interface offered by your system provider.
The communication on a cloud phone system relies on a third-party data center (from the company you purchased from) and a stable Internet connection.

#1 – Ooma Review — Best Phone Systems For Small Businesses
Ooma offers VoIP phone systems specifically designed for small businesses. The system is easy to set up, and you can make calls from anywhere using the Ooma mobile app or desktop computer app.

Falling Playbook 1
Subtitle: Sealing the Deal
Pairings: Jeon Jungkook x Reader (Seol)
Themes: smut | college!au | friends with benefits!au
Word count: 11.3k
Summary: After a night spent together, Jungkook wants to be friends with benefits with me.
Masterlist | 01 | 02 | ...
“You should have some fun; you just sit at home and watch the TV series.” My friend, Hoseok, spoke, as he nudged my shoulder. “You’re in goddamn college; when was the last party you’ve attended to, huh?”
“Last weekend,” I replied quickly. “There were music and booze; I had such a great time.” I retorted, and folded my arms across my chest. I wasn’t necessarily fond of huge club parties, but I liked hanging out with my friends at somebody’s place or in a pub in a friendly atmosphere. “We actually emptied a whole bottle of vodka by just the two of us.”
“Still,” Hoseok carried on, and I just rolled my eyes, “you really should go with me to that party. Everybody is gonna be there. It’s the event of the month! It’s the international women’s day! Besides, you look like you’re in a need of hookup.”
I sighed, slowly giving into that idea of his. Even though I didn’t want to admit it, it’d been a lot of time since the last time I had sex. One night stands had been never my thing, and relationships hadn’t been, either. Right now, I’d rather find myself a friend who I could fulfill all desires with, and at this point, a hookup seemed like a good start.
“I’m being serious here. You either attend that party with me, or I’m signing you up on Tinder. Your call,” he challenged, and I raised an eyebrow at him, wondering if he really meant his words. Knowing Hoseok, he’d let me go if I kept rejecting his offer. For me, both solutions to my ‘problem’ were equally terrible. I despised the dull and monotonic beat of the club music which blasted through the speakers for the entire night, which you could only dance to when batshit drunk. Finding a date or a hookup online through a mobile app didn’t seem right, either. Call me old-fashioned, but I had always preferred meeting people in person.
“Why are you my friend again?” I asked, as I really didn’t want to choose. However, the real question was how the hell Hoseok obtained the authority to make such important decisions regarding my schedule? He was my friend, and he had no right to boss me around like that. He had always been a little bit persuasive, but right now, it was getting out of hand. I’d only go to that party if I wanted, and I didn’t. Wild horses wouldn’t drag me there. Perhaps, it was about time I should try to reason with him and prove him the world didn’t revolve around him and many meaningless lewd hookups.
“Which one is it?” Hoseok asked again, completely ignoring my previous statement, and I could only roll my eyes at him. This guy was incredible! “You have to live, get out of your comfort zone, get laid–whatever you call it!”
“Clubs are not my style.” I announced as if he didn’t know that already. I always repeated it, yet his simple mind didn’t seem to ever catch that. Sighing, I looked at him. He was smiling at me, as if he was hoping for me to agree to this idiotic escapade. I really wanted to turn him down, I really did. Unfortunately, no matter how strong-willed I thought I was, I’d never be able to reject his wide and gleeful smile. “Ugh, fine. I’ll go, but I’m coming back home if I don’t like it. Are we clear?”
“Crystal.”
***
The party was held the next day. It was definitely too soon. I didn’t have any time to mentally prepare myself for it. Hoseok made sure I didn’t chicken out, either.
Hoseok came to my apartment about two hours prior to the party. We agreed he’d help me find the best outfit and drink a glass of wine or two before the event just to get in the mood and, in my case, loosen up a bit.
“I didn’t know you had so many dresses in your closet. Why aren’t you wearing them?” Hoseok asked, as he threw a few dresses on the chair beside him. “These are sexy! You really should put them on more often.” He added, as he scrutinized his eyes, trying to picture me dressed in the skimpy piece of clothing he was holding in his hands.
“I’d love to, but in case you didn’t notice, it’s still winter.” I answered him, as I took a gulp of my rosé. Although it was March, and the weather was rather nice, I hoped he’d buy my excuse. “Besides, I hate the attention. Especially when I receive it only from whom I have zero interest in.” I added matter-of-factly, focusing my eyes on the computer’s screen.
“This piece of art will make everyone turn their heads toward you. I guarantee you that.” Hoseok spoke, throwing a skimpy dress at my head. I had a hunch he would choose this one. It was short and tight, emphasizing every single curve of my body. Moreover, its flowery pattern made me look more chic than slutty; and subtle cleavage was leaving enough space for imagination.
“And that’s the exact opposite of what I want,” I retorted, and tossed the dress on the bed beside me, as I focused on the website I was browsing. “Don’t get me wrong, but I don’t really fancy strangers rubbing their dicks against my ass to get my attention in the middle of the dance floor. That’s disgusting, and it’s the preeminent reason why I hate clubbing so much. Even if I tell them to fuck off, another one will approach me.” I groaned in hope he understood me.
Hoseok was speechless. He must’ve had nothing to say to prove me wrong. God, how much I loved being right. Satisfaction filled me, and I grinned, taking another sip of the wine.
“What about we buy another bottle of this, and stay at home, huh?” I proposed, but Hoseok wasn’t really enthusiastic about my idea. He must’ve really looked forward to going to that party; I almost forgot he was down to that party to get laid, too. He wasn’t dating anyone at the moment, so he must’ve seen this party as his opportunity to find someone to ease his sexual frustration with. He obviously wouldn’t be getting anything from me, so maybe I could’ve given this idea the second thoughts. It could be fun; I could be his wingman of some sort.
“Come on, don’t be like this.” Hoseok whined, as he approached me with a pout upon his face. “I rarely ask you to do things for me. Just go, it’s gonna be fun, and if it’s really going to be that terrible, I’ll make it up to you. I promise.”
“Of course it’s gonna be terrible! It’s not my first, and thanks to you, definitely not last.” I started, trying not to look at his now bright and gleeful face. At this point, I couldn’t really turn him down. He was a human being with needs, and I couldn’t bail out on him, no matter how tempting it was. He was my friend, and I’d go to this awful party to make him feel a little better. It’d put me under some discomfort, but with some alcohol in my system, I’d endure it. Or at least, it’s what I’m thinking right now due to the wine I’ve already drunk. “Fine, I’ll go. I’ve already promised that, haven’t I?”
“Cool,” Hoseok spoke, and smiled brightly at me, obviously overjoyed by the fact I was actually going to that stupid party. “Now get dressed, I don’t want to be late.”
I sighed, and rolled my eyes before I sat up, grabbed the dress, and headed to the bathroom.
It took me slightly over thirty minutes to get dressed, do my hair, pick accessories and put the make-up on. By the time I was finished, Hoseok was on his phone, chatting with his friends. I knew them, and we got along, but I only hung out with them when Hoseok was around. The same applied to my friends and Hoseok; they had never met up when I was absent.
When Hoseok noticed my presence, he stared at me from head to toe. I looked definitely better than normally, since I didn’t doll myself up every day, and Hoseok must’ve really been impressed. He didn’t say anything until I cleared my throat, wanting to get a comment from him. Knowing Hoseok, he wouldn’t let me go out unless my outfit was approved by him.
“I should definitely change my major; fashion is running in my veins.” Hoseok commented, as if I was attractive only because of his input. “You look fabulous,” he started, waving his hands a lot, trying to express himself better. “We still have some time left, and no more wine. Do you want to hit the bar before we go to the club?”
“God, yes,” I spoke with relief. There was definitely too little alcohol in my system to endure the party. I didn’t want to be a wet blanket and ruined Hoseok all the fun. Attending the party with him was the least I could do.
***
When we arrived, some people were already partying; even the ones in the queue didn't seem to mind the chilly wind outside, as they tapped their feet in the silent rhythm of the music, and smoked cigarettes.
As expected, they also had hit a bar before; nowadays people my age wouldn't be able to hold a decent conversation with an opposite sex without a drink or two; sadly, myself included. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as everyone tends to be more honest when spiced up with some booze. It was fair, actually; there was a chance that men and women, for once, were on the same page; seeking for an easy way to release their sexual needs.
Hoseok and I were standing in the line. I was sighing, staring at my shoes, while he was looking around, trying to find some friends who would probably help us nonchalantly cut in the line. Although I was fine with waiting for our turn, Hoseok seemed really impatient; he was tapping his foot and looking at his wrist watch every thirty seconds.
"Calm down, we'll eventually get in there." I chipped in, sending Hoseok a smile. It was fun to see him all eager for whatever he was going to do once we were inside. It had to be stopped, though. The girls would interpret his impatience as desperation, and only a psycho would be turned on by that. I had to cool him down if he wanted to pick up somebody to hook up with.
"Jin texted me that he and Namjoon are already inside." Hoseok said matter-of-factly before he hid his phone back into the pocket.
"So...?" I asked dully, raising my eyebrow at him. "We're the cool kids, and cool kids always come fashionably late." I added, nudging his shoulder.
"I guess you're right." Hoseok shrugged, and smiled at me sheepishly. "Shall we go through the rules?" He proposed, and I couldn't believe he just said that. I wasn't a baby, and it wasn't my first time partying with him. I knew the procedure, I didn't have to be reminded of it every single time we went out. Was he serious? Hoseok was my friend, and he truly cared about me, but I used to think I had proven myself to be responsible.
"You're ridiculous." I commented, and shook my head, hoping I misheard him. He had made me recite the rules so many times, I'd be able to list them even when woken up in the middle of a night. "I really don't understand how come we're friends." I carried on, but Hoseok continued giving me the look. I knew he wouldn't let the topic slide until I cooperated. "Ugh," I groaned, and licked my lips, hoping no one was going to overhear me. "Always keep an eye on your drink. Never leave the club without informing your friends about it. Always use protection. Never do drugs. Hoseok, for fuck's sake, was it really necessary?" I yelled at him, the embarrassment showing upon my cheeks.
"Absolutely!" He answered quickly, as he placed his hand on the small of my back, as the line finally moved a little.
We showed our student ID cards to the doormen, and after a few seconds he returned them to us, and stepped aside, granting the entrance.
As fast as it was possible, I took off my coat and headed to the cloakroom, Hoseok following just behind me.
"Namjoon says they're waiting for us by the bar." He mused, and with a smile lead me to their meeting point.
"Good, another drink is definitely going to be useful." I retorted, observing my surroundings.
The club was packed with people. A lot of girls created smaller groups where they sipped on their drinks, probably gossiping about other women who had decided to dress a bit more slutty than they thought it was adequate. I was guilty, too. I immediately judged the girl whose shirt was so short, everybody could see her thong when she straddled a man in the corner. I understood the lust, but they could've at least some decency to go somewhere private. Men, on the other hand, if they already didn't have their eyes set on a particular girl, occupied the bar nonchalantly lurking for their prey.
Hoseok quickly found Namjoon and Jin. Squeezing between dancing people, we reached the bar, and I sat on the stool which they had managed to reserve. Right now, I was the only girl in the group, and it only seemed right. Unlike the feminism activists who were pretty damn annoying these days, I had never minded having some privileges.
"Where the fuck have you been? We were waiting for like thirty minutes already!" Namjoon screamed, since otherwise we wouldn't be able to hear him. The music was awful and way too loud for my own liking, but since they kept me company so far, I hoped I'd focus on the conversation instead of the monotonous beats.
"Blame her," Hoseok pointed at me, "she was taking too long when dressing up!" Hoseok yelled into Namjoon's ear, the both of them staring at me.
"In that case, I don't really mind! She looks even prettier than usual." Jin shouted, and smiled at me.
I leaned in a little and thanked him. People rarely complimented my looks, and it was really nice to hear it from time to time. Besides, if I interpreted Jin's words correctly, I was always pretty, but today I outdid myself. Moreover, such words coming out of someone as beautiful as Jin himself was incredibly rewarding.
"We should order something." I suggested, and reached for the menu, staring at over-priced drinks. Hoseok looked over my shoulder, but I knew he was going to go with beer. The drinks were always diluted, and consisted of way too much sugar. Not to mention the three fourth of the drink being just ice. No matter how ridiculous it sounded, he knew he'd get wasted sooner if he remained faithful to his beloved beer.
"This round is on me." Jin hollered just when I was about to pull out my money.
Normally, I'd feel bad about it, well... maybe 'indebted' was the proper word, but since I knew such an expanse wouldn't be a bothersome for him, I agreed. I wasn't going to use his generosity, though. He was nice, and one drink was enough.
As I predicted, Hoseok went with beer, and I ordered Mojito, while Jin and Namjoon both opted for whisky with coke.
When our drinks arrived, we sipped on them, and chatted. Actually, they did most of the talking. They were gossiping about people I didn't know, so I was just drinking my alcohol, nodding my head from time to time. I didn't really pay attention; instead I tried to find my other friends. Hoseok had said it was the party of the month, so finding some familiar faces was bound to happen. So far, I only saw two other girls from my major. Unfortunately, they weren't really my friends; just some people I knew but didn't talk to.
My companions finished their drinks rather quickly, but being the gentlemen they were, they waited for me. Although they didn't pressure me into doing anything, I gulped down my drink, so we could finally hit the dance floor.
Once we were in the middle of the crowd, we started to dance. Hoseok, being the one who wielded the dancing kind title was in the center of attention. His moves were amazing, and it took a lot of self-restraint to not gawk at him. He danced flawlessly, and in comparison, everyone looked like they just learned how to walk. Namjoon, on the other hand, was a complete opposite; he danced as if he was trying to dodge bullets which were targeted at his legs. Jin and I were mediocre; we could feel the rhythm, as we swayed our hips from side to side in the right tempo, but it was evident we weren't pros like Hoseok, especially when he started to show off some complicated dance moves.
When the beat dropped, everyone began jumping up and down with their hands thrown in the air. It was actually fun, given all the alcohol I had consumed. I ran my hands through my hair, pushing them off my face. Suddenly, I felt like closing my eyes, losing myself completely in the melody. It was really fun, at least until I felt somebody hands on my sides, pulling me closer against one's chest. I quickly turned my head, and looked at the stranger. He was smiling as if he already knew I was going to leave the club with him and fuck him till the sun peeking through the blinds very early in the morning.
"What's your name?" The man whispered into my ear, while I tried my best not to show him how much I wanted to cringe.
"Sorry, I came here with my boyfriend." I replied, and pulled the man who was the closest to me. Thankfully, it was Hoseok, and he immediately caught my unspoken message. He could sense I wasn't comfortable with that man, so he quickly wrapped his arm around my shoulders protectively and pulled me away from him. Hoseok led me somewhere, and before I noticed, I was standing on a platform with him, where everybody was able to stare at us. Much to my dissatisfaction, Hoseok rescue mission appeared to be an out of the frying pan into the fire kind of help.
"I'm glad you're having fun." Hoseok shouted into my ears, and on cue, we started to jump again as the beat dropped.
I danced with him for like two more songs before I needed a break. Unfortunately, I wasn't as athletic as Hoseok.
Rather clumsily, I made my way toward the bar where I sneaked into a vacant stool. Thankfully, the bartender was currently busy, so I had time to catch my breath and decide on my next drink. The music was starting to sound shitty in my ears again, and I needed some poison to immunize myself with.
"I must say I couldn't take my eyes off of you." A handsome man spoke when he approached me, and propped his body on his elbow, leaning against the bar. I scoffed at his words, staring at his face. He was good-looking, perhaps out-of-my-league kind of good-looking. His eyes were as black as his hair, his ear piercings reflecting the club lights. He was wearing a simple black T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. A thin silver necklace hung around his neck, making me focus on his beautiful collarbones. "What's your name?" He asked, and I panicked for a brief moment; Jin and Namjoon disappeared somewhere and Hoseok was still dancing on the platform.
"Hwajeong." I spoke the first name that came to my mind. "Yours?" I inquired, trying to make him do all the talking. I always hated breaking the ice, so if he could keep me interested for more than five minutes and try not to immediately get into my pants, I wouldn't blow him off. He was attractive, so I didn't see a problem in giving him a chance if he played his cards right.
"Jungkook." He casually replied, and smiled at me. "Will you have a drink with me?" He whispered into my ear, each syllable tickling my skin.
"Sure," I smiled back, and he raised his hand to obtain the bartender's attention.
"What do want, Hwajeong?"
"I think we should do shots." I suggested, and Jungkook seemed positively surprised. He mustn't have expected me to go with such strong alcohol. Actually, I'd have ordered a fancy drink, but knowing how little alcohol and how much sugar the drinks had, shots were a safe bet. "I recommend you the ones with red bull. They kick, but they're sweet at the same time!" I shouted, staring at the menu.
"What can I get you?" The bartender asked, as soon as he approached us. Jungkook leaned forward, and ordered us the shots I proposed.
"What brings you here, Hwajeong?" Jungkook asked, emphasizing my name, as if repeating it wouldn't make him forget it. He had to be one of the men who felt wrong when they didn't remember the name of the girl they had spent the night with.
"I'm my friend's wingman, and I think I did an amazing job." I spoke proudly, turning around in my seat, pointing at Hoseok who was still dancing on the platform, but this time, he had two girls accompanying him.
"Whoa, I'm impressed. Can I hire you for my roommate? He didn't want to go with me to that party, while he obviously needs to get laid. He's helpless, but with such a talented wingman, he would be able to find someone." Jungkook jested, and quickly turned to the bartender to pay for our shots.
"I'm not sure he can afford my services. My friend is always going to be indebted to me." I retorted, and accepted three shot glasses which Jungkook slid toward me. Jungkook must've had some serious plans for me if he wanted to get me drunk this badly. Perhaps, I should've noticed the red flags around him, but I ignored them. We were still in the club, and if he suddenly became odd, Hoseok or Jin or Namjoon would come to my rescue.
"He's gonna be doomed without you, but fine. It's his loss he didn't want to come." Jungkook shrugged, and raised the glass, ready to make a toast. "To you who didn't blow me off the second I approached you." He spoke, and clinked the glass with me before we drunk it in one go.
"What about you? What has brought you here?" I asked, placing my right leg over the left one. My dress slightly rolled up, and Jungkook's eyes immediately noticed it. He didn't even try to be discreet about it.
"Dancing." He simply answered.
"I don't see you dance, though." I teased and smirked while running my forefinger across the brim of my shot glass.
"I'm waiting for you to teach me your moves." Jungkook talked back, and I smiled, starting to lose my hope of ever out-talking him.
"I'm impressed, you seem to know what to say what every woman wants to hear." I blurted, wishing that Jungkook could comprehend my incoherent blabber. "Even if it usually works, I prefer honesty. We both know why the majority of people are here; are we any different?" I asked, cocking my eyebrow at him, while Jungkook tried to figure out if I really meant my words.
"To honesty, then!" He hollered, and raised another shot glass, encouraging me to have another round with him. I knew he must've done this to omit answering my question. Unfortunately, I was aware that he, like the ninety percent of people in the club, was down to fuck. Even if I hadn't tried it myself, I understood how it worked.
"But seriously, honesty is the best policy." I continued, sensing that Jungkook didn't like the direction this conversation was headed. "Even if you think this will ruin the sweet illusion you tried to create, it won't. It won't with me, at least. Besides, it takes a pair of balls to be frank."
"Okay," Jungkook hesitantly said, slowly rethinking my proposition. "I really want to kiss you." He confessed, staring down at my red lips.
"Right now?" I asked for clarification, my mind clouded with the strong vodka. Jungkook nodded and I smiled. "Don't, I'd push you away. I wouldn't walk out on you, though. How easy do you think I am?" I jested, and Jungkook smirked at me, sensing that I was teasing him. "Just relax, we're having fun."
"God, you really are something, Hwajeong." Jungkook spoke, and emptied his third shot, while staring directly at me. His eyes felt as if they were drilling in mine, but I could only focus on his Adam's apple when he swallowed the liquor. Such a simple gesture made me wonder why, on Earth, I was playing hard to get. He was obviously in the club to find somebody to fuck, and he chose me. I found him attractive, so if he wasn't going to insist on banging him, I'd leave the party with him. I had never done this one-night-stand thing, and Jungkook seemed like an ideal candidate.
"Let's dance." I quickly said before I drank my shot and slammed the glass against the counter, pulling Jungkook to the dance floor a moment later. His hands were big and dry, but his grip was rather gentle, so overall it felt nice. I stopped just a second before the beat was going to drop. I sent Jungkook a faint smirk before I and everyone around me started to jump.
Smiling at me, Jungkook danced with me. Although he had stated he wanted to learn from me, his moves were better than mine. He was almost as good as Hoseok. Shaking my head at his poor lie, I brushed it off, and just focused on the music which surprisingly didn't sound like crap. I threw my arms into the air, trying to lose myself in the rhythm, but it was difficult with Jungkook's eyes undressing me. It wasn't bad, though. I was glad that he respected me enough to not turn me around and rub his sex against my bottom.
"Liar," I whispered into his ear when he was really close to me.
"I'm a fast learner," he replied, and smiled at me. Unconsciously, I mirrored his actions, his playful smirk ruining my defence against him. I just couldn't keep my straight face and pretend his facial expression didn't affect me at all. I was giving in, and he, without any doubt, could sense that.
Dancing with Jungkook was great; he wasn't too bold, and he respected my personal space. He must've applied my previous advice; he danced for the sake of dancing, not of showing me he wanted to fuck me. Very few people would be able to do that, and I was impressed.
In the middle of the second song, I needed a break. Due to the shots and all the jumping, I felt really dizzy, almost as if I was going to collapse in the middle of the dance floor. Having noticed my state, Jungkook approached me and rested his hands on my sides, pulling me toward him. "Everything alright?" He asked, and I nodded my head. I was fine, I just had to sit for a minute or two. "Are you sure? Do you want to go outside?"
It was very sweet of him to care so much. It was really endearing.
"Meet me out front in ten, okay?"

Having used the bathroom and lied to Jin that I was taking a taxi back home, I collected my coat, put it on, and exited the club. Perhaps, it took me more than I had promised to Jungkook, but thankfully, he didn't ditch me for another girl. He was leaned against a brick wall, his hands in his jeans pockets. He looked very nonchalant, the leather jacket thrown loosely around his shoulders.
As soon as he noticed me, he smiled, and pushed himself off the wall with his foot.
We met halfway.
"My place, or yours?" He asked bluntly, and I started to laugh hysterically at him. If other girls would give in, I didn't plan on going easy. We were complete strangers, and I wouldn't come over to his flat knowing so little about him. His name and the fact that he has a roommate wouldn't suffice.
"Neither." I replied when my laughter died down a little. Normally, it wouldn't be so funny, but given the alcohol I had consumed, I'd giggle at almost everything. "Come on, at least I have to pretend I'm not easy." I jested, and nudged his shoulder with my elbow. "It's barely past midnight. We still have a whole night ahead of us. Let's do something fun."
I knew I said it only because I was afraid. It was going to be my first one-night-stand, and I must've unconsciously tried to stop myself before I reached the point of no return. Jungkook was hot, and he'd make a perfect person to have meaningless sex with. It was still new to me, and I was scared. Unfortunately, the alcohol didn't seem to help me with this kind of fear.
"We can—"
Jungkook wanted to propose something, but before he managed to finish his sentence, I grabbed him by the jacket and pulled him down to kiss him. At first, I just pressed my lips against his, but the second his shock died down, he started to move his mouth against mine. The kiss was messy and passionate with a lot of tongue and our teeth clicking. It was amazing, and I couldn't remember the last time I was kissed like that.
Instinctively, his hands rested on my sides, pulling me closer to him.
It felt good but wrong at the same time. For Jungkook it must've seemed odd, too. One second, I had told him to take it easy, yet a moment later, I had pulled him into a heated kiss. I still had mixed feelings about the one-night-stand concept, but now, having tasted him, I thought I was willing to try.
I was pressed tightly against Jungkook's firm body, as he continued kissing me. He was sucking on my tongue, biting on my lips, while I miserably attempted to dominate the kiss. He was in charge, and he showed it quite emphatically. We wouldn't be having it any other way.
"Whoa, that was nice," I spoke as soon as I pulled away. The kiss was amazing. We couldn't carry on there, though. I had always hated couples making out publicly, and I wasn't a hypocrite to do exactly what I truly despised. "I'd eat something." I said out of the blue, looking at him.
"There's a fast-food diner on the way to my place. I think it's still open." Jungkook answered, and smiled at me. The kiss we shared was a promise; he knew I wasn't wasting his time. My heart was beating heavily in my chest, and at this point, I didn't know whether it was because of the stress, or the chemistry I felt for him. Although we only kissed, I was sure he would take good care of me, even if it was going to last just until morning.
"Thank God, I've barely eaten today, and I'm starving. Lead the way!" I replied enthusiastically.
"This way." He spoke, showing me the direction.
Since he said it's gonna take us about five minutes by foot, we walked. I didn't really mind. The cold wind would help me clear my mind and hopefully put my racing heart at ease. It wouldn't be anything to brag about if I did or said something embarrassing which would make him completely lose his interest in me. The silence we were engulfed in wasn't a good sign, either, and although it took two people, I felt as if it was my fault we couldn't hold a decent conversation. Didn't he feel uncomfortable? I did, and it was barely bearable.
"So..." I dragged on, "what's your favorite movie?" I asked simply, hoping it'd break the ice and make him speak.
"What?" He inquired, as if he didn't hear me. "Favorite movie? Hmm... 'Iron Man', I guess." He answered with a shrug, staring at me. "Yours?"
It was going to be a long night.
"I guess it was alright." I replied with the exact interest he showed which was really close to nothing. "But I think I could name at least one hundred better films. Don't get me wrong, but it didn't really stand up. Just one of a bunch of Marvel movies."
"So which film did stand up, huh?" He asked, sounding almost offended. I had no idea I could pull a nerve with such a simple question, but right now, I was genuinely interested how it might've turned.
"It's really difficult to pick one, actually." I started, as I stared at my shoes, as I strolled slowly beside him, cold wind kissing my cheeks. "I don't have a favorite one, but I like 'White Chicks' and 'Shrek 2' regardless my humor. They always crack me up and make me feel better." I could hear him snort, but I decided to let it slide. Getting into a fight before sex wouldn't put me in the mood.
***
In the restaurant, he was a complete gentleman. He opened the door for me, bought me food, and even glared at an old man in mid-forties who was staring at me inappropriately. Although he didn't put a lot of effort, I was glad. I wasn't being treated like a princess, but he still was one of the nicest guys I had ever met.
Whatever tension or stress I had felt, it was gone when we were seated in a booth. We conversed casually, no one would be able to tell that we met each other an hour ago. Unfortunately, due to my alcohol intoxication, I couldn't really catch what he was saying. I could hear him, but I didn't listen. I felt like a goldfish—I couldn't even tell the topic we were discussing when he jumped to another one. On top of that, somewhere along the way, I forgot his name. It was embarrassing, but remembering names of people I just met had never been my forte.
When we finished eating, him, binging on his portion and two third of mine, I offered him a spearmint chewing gum and he accepted.
"You really have a beautiful smile." He said as we exited the diner. I didn't even know I was smiling, to be honest. I must've had a really fun time with him. Slowly, I started to regret that I was going to part ways with him before the dawn.
"Thank you." I replied, trying not to giggle. He was going to be a one night adventure, and nothing more. I shouldn't have raised my hopes, especially when I didn't seek for a relationship at the moment. It was ironic, meeting a great guy when wanting to focus on self-development. "How far is your apartment? My shoes are killing me."
"Why? Do you want me to carry you?" He asked, as he stood in front of me, bending a little almost as if wanting to grab me and throw me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. It was ridiculous, so I took a step back, trying to signalize I wasn't comfortable with such treatment. Thankfully, he understood the message. "We're almost there. Two more minutes."
He didn't lie. He wasn't honest, either. His flat was located on the fourth floor, and it was a real deal breaker. Especially, when the lift was out of order.
"What about your roommates? Won't they be pissed that you bring a girl over?" I asked, when he was fighting with the lock.
"Don't worry about it. Jimin is still at that party, and Yoongi is a heavy sleeper. No matter how loud you're gonna scream, you won't wake him up."
"Wow!" I voiced, as I couldn't believe what I just heard. He was surely confident; hopefully, it wasn't just hot air. "Now, you better live up to my expectations because you set the bar really high."
"You won't be complaining." He answered cheekily, pushing the doors open for me to enter first. Quickly, he followed me inside and turned the lights on. "Do you want something to drink, Hwajeong? Beer? Coke? Coffee?" He asked, as he kicked off his shoes, and hung his jacket on the rack in the corner.
"Anything from the fridge would be alright." I replied and took off my shoes and coat.
Whilst he was in the small kitchenette, I took a chance to study the interior. They kept it simple; a couch and two armchairs in front of a decent flat screen TV. It seemed quite spacious with an open kitchen and a kitchen island being probably their dining room. Behind me there were four doors; three rooms and a bathroom. I was slightly envious; this flat must've been really expensive to rent, but at least they didn't live with their parents, like I did.
"I didn't know which one you'd want, so I got you both." He said, as he set both beverages on the coffee table.
"I think I've had enough alcohol tonight." I answered, and reached for a can of coke, trying to remember how much I had drunk in the last few hours; a rosé back at home, a mojito with the guys, and shots with him. It was way too much for me, but due to all the dancing, I didn't feel any discomfort.
I sat on the couch, and he took a seat beside me, his muscular thigh brushing against me.
"It's such a nice place," I started, complimenting his apartment.
"Yeah, it is. Only when Jimin's out. I swear I'd kick him out if I could." He spoke, hopefully joking. I heard a lot of stories about annoying roommates from my friends, and I hoped that he wasn't living a nightmare with that Jimin. "We really should take an advantage of him not being here." He added, and I wanted to question him what he meant by that, but before I opened my mouth, his lips were already on mine, gently nipping them.
He tasted like a mint and beer, and I felt intoxicated almost in an instant.
I let out a soft whimper, and he used it to slide his tongue into my mouth. He kissed me slowly, and I placed my hands on his jaw, pulling him closer. At first his hands were running in my hair, but as we lost in the heat, they wandered down to my sides, hauling me onto his lap. I straddled him, and he leaned backward, leaning against the backrest.
Eagerly, I pulled my hips down on his crotch, the fire burning within me already. I was excited as never before. With just a little bit of his touch, I was set ablaze with passion. He squeezed my bottom, encouraging me to rub myself against him, and I couldn't refuse. I completely lost my mind for him, as I only cared about him and how we were going to please each other.
"You're so hot, Hwajeong." He moaned, when I pressed my sex against his boner. With the hard-on, his pants seemed way too tight, so I undid the button and pulled the zipper down to bring him some relief. "Shit," he cursed, when I didn't touch him. I leaned forward and sucked on his bottom lip. "Please... touch me." He spoke, but I wanted to tease him a bit more. It was just a one time thing, and I had to make sure he'd remember me.
I didn't fulfill his ask, but he didn't make a fuss about it. His hands slid under my dress, and pulled it up to my belly button. His fingers dug in my ass cheeks, forcing me onto his throbbing cock. I'd lie if I told this didn't turn me on. I was already dripping wet for him. He looked perfect, almost as if sculptured, and he wanted me.
"God, you're driving me crazy, Hwajeong." He confessed, raising his hips, rubbing himself against me, desperate to find any kind of friction. I stopped my actions and smirked at him when I heard his words. Slowly, I sat on his lap, and stared into his eyes, as I grabbed the hem of my dress and pulled it over my head, tossing it onto the floor. "You're... beautiful." He mused, gawking at me with admiration. "I need you, Hwajeong."
"I need you, too." I replied, and crushed my lips against his into another passionate kiss.
He was losing all his patience, and I almost didn't have any, too. Everything about him, the way he kissed and touched me was making me crazy, and I couldn't wait any longer. I needed him as much as he needed me.
When he realized I wasn't going to make it easy for him, he knew he had to dominate me. He had let me tease him, and I was taking too much time he was willing to offer. With me still straddling him, he slid his right hand under me and tugged my panties to the side, rubbing his thumb across my sex. He barely touched me, but the pressure was enough to get me moan.
"Nope, I can't wait." He spoke, and before I managed to react, he hoisted me up, and I squeezed my legs around him instinctively. Rather quickly he approached the entrance of his room. "You got me too worked up." He commented, as he gently put me on his bed, instantly hovering over me, my thighs caressing his sides.
"What can I say? I couldn't help myself." I answered cheekily, and pulled him down by his T-shirt to kiss him. He reciprocated immediately, swirling his tongue around mine. My arms touched his tensed shoulders before they slid down his chest right to the hem of his shirt. I was only in my underwear, while he was fully clothed—something was definitely wrong. "Strip." I ordered him, and he glared at me. It meant no harm, but I knew he didn't like taking orders. "What? Hurry! You didn't get me scream yet."
"Don't worry about it, Hwajeong. You'll be moaning my name so loud you'll lose your voice." He said, and I cursed under my breath.
Fuck.
Although I tried my best to disguise my mistake, he could sense that something was off. It was dark, only street lights, giving some light into his room, yet I still could see that he raised his eyebrow at me in a questioning manner.
"What's the matter?" He asked, halting his actions. With his cock pressed against my folds, he stared at me, waiting for a response.
"Nothing. Everything is alright. Let's fuck." I quickly blabbered, pulling him down again.
He pulled away instantly, and scrutinized my face, as if trying to see through my lame lie. "Oh my God! You totally forgot my name!" He yelled, both offended and amused. It must've been the first time it happened to him. "Oh my God! I can't believe it!" He hollered, and dropped his head, so I couldn't see his expression because of his fringe. Slowly, I wanted to start to panic. It was so embarrassing, but it looked like he was more red-faced. "Wow! You are really something, Hwajeong."
"Sorry, I'm not really good with names. It's nothing personal. It's all on me." I began to blabber again, but I stopped when I heard his laughter.
"This is ridiculous." He shook his head, staring at me, being propped on his elbows. "It's Jeon Jungkook, and don't you dare ever forget that." Jungkook said, sounding a little threatening. Of course, he wouldn't do anything to me, I didn't want, but he'd be pissed beyond words if his name slipped my mind again. "I'm really tempted to punish you now."
"Oh, trust me. I'm gonna make it up to you." I announced, as I smirked at him, my hands sliding beneath the waistband of his boxers. He thrust his hips when he felt my cold fingers gently running across his skin, striving my touch. Slowly, I wrapped my digits around his length, giving him a few light strokes. I could tell he wanted me to go harder, but he had to be patient.
"Just suck it. I bet your mouth's damn amazing." Jungkook urged me, and although I didn't really like his bossy tone, it turned me on even more. He didn't even wait for my consent; he must've sensed I wanted him so much I'd probably do anything to please him. Rather eagerly, he lay on his back, and entwined his fingers behind his head, waiting for me to take care of his pulsating dick.
Licking my lips, I threw my legs over his hips, straddling him. "God, I can't believe I'm doing this." I confessed, as I pulled his jeans and boxers down to his knees, staring at his erection. He was impressive; long, thick and throbbing for my attention. He was definitely bigger than any of my exes.
"You're not a virgin, are you?" Jungkook asked, and I totally understood his suspicion.
"No, it's not like that. It's just my first time with a complete stranger." I explained, and sent him a reassuring smile that everything was fine. More than fine, actually. At this point, I didn't even know how to voice my excitement. Although I had many doubts about it, it was amazing. "I should've tried it sooner. I can't believe what I was missing out on."
Jungkook smiled. He must've really liked the fact I enjoyed his company so much.
"Oh, you have no idea. The best is yet to come. I'm gonna fuck you right." He spoke, and sent me a mischievous smirk.
"I hope so. You've promoted yourself so vividly." I said slowly, each word rolling off my tongue. My hands were on his shoulders, leisurely splaying across his toned chest, as I placed delicate kisses all over him—his neck, collarbones, abs, and crotch. Yearning for my touch, Jungkook kicked his jeans off his legs, and forced his hips against my hand. He was impatient, and I couldn't blame him.
I gently squeezed my hand around the base of his cock, making him hiss. He sounded heavenly, and I wanted to discover all sounds which could escape his mouth. Slowly, I was stroking his length, staring at his face. His eyes were closed, he was smiling, his chest moving up and down as he breathed. Jungkook was handsome, but right now, completely bare under me, he was perfect. Not even a single flaw. Even his little scar on the cheek was gorgeous, making him look even manlier.
Spitting on my hand, I rubbed my saliva in his cock, using it as a lube. He let out a quiet whimper, and bit on his bottom lip when I began pumping my fist up and down his cock faster. He didn't even do anything, and I was already throbbing for him.
A little bit of precum oozed, and I quickly smeared it across his length.
"Use your mouth, scatterbrain." Jungkook groaned, and I let out a sigh at the nickname. Of course, it wouldn't let it slide, the label nailed to me, remaining until my departure. "I know you want it." He added, and I looked away. He was so confident and straightforward to the point I felt intimidated.
Staring at his cock and muscular thighs, I gnawed my bottom lip before I ducked my head, and gently licked the tip, sliding my tongue down to the base.
Jungkook tensed up due to my touch, and I smirked, looking up at him. He was staring at me, as if he couldn't wait any longer to see his cock disappear in my mouth, as I swallowed him.
"Yeah, just like that." Jungkook encouraged me with his low voice, as I started to suck on the tip. With hollowed cheeks, I took more of him at a time, my left hand holding the base, the right one squeezing and massaging his balls. "Look at me when you suck me off." Jungkook spoke in an authoritative tone, as his hand sneaked to touch my chin and tilt my head, forcing him to look at me. He urged me to maintain eye contact with him, but at the same time, he was gentle, delicately caressing my skin with his thumb.
My head bobbed up and down his length, as I swallowed him as much as I could. It wasn't enough for him, though. His right hand slid across my cheek to my hair, as he grabbed a handful, and forced me onto his cock to deep throat him. A single tear formed in my eye, but strangely, I wanted him to continue. I felt dizzy, and I couldn't wait to get fucked, just as he had promised.
"God," I moaned, as I pulled away with a loud pop. "Jungkook, please, fuck me already." I begged, staring into his eyes, hoping the way his name rolled off my tongue would convince him. He looked at me, smirking, as if planning something sinister. I was tired of playing games, he had to stop teasing me.
"How bad do you want me?" Jungkook asked, as he raised his thighs, making me fall onto his chest. I was lying on top of him, trying to prop myself on my elbows, and Jungkook only smiled at me. "Come on, coyness aside, admit how much you want my cock." He whispered into my ear, nipping the shell. Admittedly, his low voice did send shivers down my spine.
"Ah, you have no idea, Jungkook." I moaned quietly, hoping my voice would excite him at least half as much his voice excited me. "I'm all wet for your cock. Please, don't make me wait." I purred, grabbing his earlobe between my teeth, tugging at it playfully.
"Jesus Christ," Jungkook panted before he jerked up, turning us around. "You're so damn hard to resist, you know that, right?" He said, and ducked his head down to suck on my neck. I didn't want him to leave a hickey, but once his lips were on my skin, it felt too good to push him away.
Jungkook hand slid under my bra, as he cupped and squeezed my left breast. "Ah..." I moaned, and unconsciously pushed my hips, seeking for any friction as he deliberately refused to touch me. I rubbed myself against his erection, while pulling his head against my neck. "Jungkook, please." I cried out, but Jungkook was taking his time slowly unclasping my bra, tossing it onto the floor, the same leisurely movements when he took off my panties.
"You know nothing about patience, do you?" He asked, even though he already knew the answer. What did he want to prove with that? I thought we had already established how needy I became, striving for his touch.
"Ah..." I bit back a moan, when Jungkook lowered his hand to my sex, rubbing my folds with his long fingers. Instantly, I replied to him, lifting my hips up to grind against his palm, seeking more friction. "Jungkook..." I breathed out, pressing my cheek against his pillow, my eyes shut close.
"Yeah, that's more like it." He spoke, as he pushed his forefinger inside of me, and I immediately responded, trying to ride his hand. "You like that, don't you?" He asked, and with his free hand, he made me look at him, at his eyes burning with desire. "You're so beautiful whimpering beneath me." He confessed before he leaned down to attack my lips, while he added another finger, pumping it in and out mercilessly.
"J-Jungkook, please, fuck me. I need more." I panted, as he started placing moist kisses across my jaw and neck.
"God, you're so tight." He gasped, as my words must've really urged him to go further. "You barely fit around my fingers, are you sure?" He asked, and I nodded. I was dripping, and I knew I could handle his thick cock without any more stretching. "Fuck," he cursed, withdrawing his hand to reach into his nightstand in search for a condom.
"Let me," I said, as I snatched the small package from him, wanting to roll the condom down his erection.
The tip of his cock poked against my entrance, and I couldn't help but let out an excited moan. This was really happening, and I was ready like never before. This was amazing, and if Jungkook kept going like that, I was sure it was going to be the best sex of my life.
He pushed his hips forward, filling me completely with his throbbing cock. At first, he slowly slammed his length as far as he could, but gradually he picked up his pace, setting for faster rhythm. I no longer cared to keep it down; with each thrust I moaned and whimpered under him, encouraging him to pound his cock harder. My breasts were bouncing as he rocked his hips, my fingernails digging into his biceps.
"Oh, God. Just like that! Fuck, Jungkook!" I screamed, but he kissed me, trying to muffle me. His tongue sucked mine, and I completely gave into the kiss. His hips thrust with the exact speed, and I was so close to reaching my orgasm. "Can I ride you, Jungkook?" I breathed out, as he pulled away only to slam his lips against mine again.
Instead of giving my a verbal response, Jungkook stopped moving, and gave me a gentle peck, as he pulled out and lay on his back, waiting for me to climb on top of him. I quickly threw my leg over his thighs, straddling him. "Did I tell you how beautiful you are?" He asked, as his hand reached out to my breast, fondling it gently.
Smiling at his compliment, I grabbed his cock, and positioned myself to sit on it. He slid right in, and I couldn't help but moan when he filled me, throbbing. Gently, I placed my hands on his muscular shoulders before I started to ride him. I moved my hips back and forth swiftly, instantly setting a fast rhythm.
Although I wanted to be in charge for a while, Jungkook wouldn't let me, as he began thrusting from beneath me. My breasts bounce in our pace, and Jungkook couldn't tear his eyes away from the view in front of him. I couldn't blame him, I was staring as his tensed abs and thighs.
Almost as if he heard my inner thoughts, his hand ran down to my sex and started to rub my clit.
"Ah... fuck, fuck!" I shouted, a heat of pleasure hitting me, the sign of my approaching orgasm.
"Yeah, come on my cock." Jungkook moaned, his hand massaging my clit.
"Ah... Jungkook!" I cried out, my nails digging into his skin, as I felt closer and closer to my high. "Come with me, p-p-please." I moaned, feeling my walls slowly clenching around him. Millions of tiny explosions erupted in my heat, waves of pleasure running to every cell in my body, as I finally reached my orgasm. I threw my head back, my eyes tightly closed, as I continued to ride him, knowing he was close, too. "J-Jungkook!" I screamed on top of my voice, a freeing sensation ripping me into pieces.
"Fuck!" He hollered, as he tensed, filling the condom with his sperm, as he came. "Ah... Hwajeong. You're fucking amazing." He moaned, while panting as the orgasm overwhelmed him. He looked heavenly handsome with his pleased face. Especially when I knew I made him that way. It was so damn rewarding!
When my orgasm started to fade away, I joined him on the bed, breathing heavily.
"Fuck, that was incredible." I panted, as I closed my eyes, savoring every second of my high. I had never been fucked this way before, my exes hadn't felt even half as good as Jungkook did.
"I kept my word." Jungkook simply said, and although I had my eyes shut, I could feel he was smiling. "Though, I am not sure if it felt so good without your input. Girl, you're fucking amazing." He confessed genuinely, and I smiled. It felt nice being appreciated. "Give me ten minutes. I am so into round two."
I hummed in consent, as I snuggled closer to the pillow, the last bits of my orgasm still perceptive. Jungkook was panting beside me, and the sound of him lulled me to sleep. I didn't even realize when I gave into the embrace of the night.
***
I woke up, when I felt his body shift beside me. It had always taken me a lot of time to accommodate to a new environment, so when I fell asleep, I was hyper aware of his presence. Even the slightest movement would stir me awake. Although I had no idea for how long I was sleeping, it couldn't be long. Long enough for Jungkook to doze off too, but definitely not longer.
He was close to me, his arm thrown over me. Carefully, hoping I wouldn't wake him up, I sneaked out of the bed, searching for my clothes which must've been scattered all over the floor. Without any major trouble, I found my underwear and quickly put it on. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate my dress. At first, I looked under the bed, thinking it got there somehow, but then it occurred to me that we started off on the couch, and the missing article of clothing must've still been there.
I really didn't want to bump at any of his roommates, especially wearing only a pair of panties and a bra, so I checked the time. According to Jungkook's clock, it was 4:30 a.m.
The apartment was silent, I could only hear Jungkook breathing. Assuming, no one would walk on me being half naked, I twisted the knob, and exited the room, carefully closing the doors.
The lights were turned off, so either someone had been awake when Jungkook and I had been having sex, or Jungkook had switched them off when I had been sleeping. Personally, I'd prefer if the second option was true, but unfortunately, it didn't change the fact that I didn't know where the light switch was, and I didn't want to wake up anyone at this unholy hour.
I could see the outline of everything, so I carefully moved toward the couch. Thankfully, despite my clumsiness, I didn't trip.
The dress was sitting right under the coffee table. Sighing in relief, I picked it up, and put it on.
I had no idea what to do next. I couldn't really come back home in the middle of the night; especially when I couldn't check the bus timetable. It was still late, and if I walked out of the apartment, I would wait for one for at least half an hour. I didn't have enough money to take a taxi, either.
Besides, it would be rude of him if I left Jungkook without saying goodbye. The sex was great, and that was the least I could do.
I looked around the apartment, and I noticed frosted glass doors slightly open. Without any doubt, I could assume it must've been the bathroom. Quickly, I made my way toward it, switched the lights on inside, and closed the doors behind me.
I saw my reflection, and shook my head disapprovingly. My makeup was ruined; the red lipstick gone, the mascara and eyeliner smeared around my eyes, the fluid almost completely wiped off. My hair was a total mess, too. Swiftly, I twisted the faucet, and took some soap on my hands. I'd rather show myself without any makeup than having it all flaking. Moreover, if I had to take my first walk of shame, I'd try to look the most presentable I could. Hopefully, people would assume I'm going to work, not going home after amazing sex with a stranger I met in the club.
Having washed my face and combed my hair, I walked out of the bathroom. The digital clock on the cooker showed 4:49 a.m. I didn't really want longer than necessary, but waking him up didn't seem right, either. I really had no idea how to kill some time, so I just sat down on the couch and heaved a sigh. Not knowing what enticed me, I reached for a remote, and turned on the TV, instantly reducing the volume.
I flicked through channels, but nothing interesting was aired at such hour. After a while, I settled for a 'Family Guy' rerun, and placed the remote on the coffee table. I had already seen that episode, but it was fine, since it was an exceptionally funny one. Unfortunately, I only managed to watch five minutes of it before it ended.
My stomach started to growl, demanding food, and although I didn't want to, I walked to the kitchenette and opened the refrigerator.
Suddenly, I heard someone fighting with the lock by the entrance doors. I panicked, and quickly shut the fridge close, before whoever tried to get in managed to catch me red-handed. Not knowing what to do, I just leaned against the cooker, and stared at the intruder who switched the lights on.
He immediately noticed me, and I smiled at him sheepishly.
"Hello, you. Yoongi or Jungkook?" He greeted me and asked, as he kicked off his shoes and threw his jacket on the couch. I answered him truthfully, and he smiled as if he could figure it out himself. "I'm Jimin." He introduced himself, as he approached the doors of Jungkook's room, and slammed his fist against it a couple of times. "Jungkook! Wake the fuck up!"
I couldn't believe in what Jimin just did. I had tried my best to be considerate and quiet, yet he just barged in, yelling at the top of his voice.
Although I didn't say anything, Jimin turned to me, and sent me a smirk, tilting his head toward the refrigerator. "Top shelf, suit yourself." He spoke, and winked at me before he disappeared into his room.
When Jungkook didn't leave his room within two minutes, I assumed that Jimin didn't manage to wake him up, so I quickly opened the fridge to look around. I examined the top shelf, it was almost empty; a can of whipped cream, a half cube of butter, a jar of blueberry jam, and a few slices of cheese.
Sighing, I reached for the whipped cream, and took a mouthful straight from the can.
I snapped my head when I heard a noise; it was Jungkook, coming out of his room, wearing only a pair of grey boxers and a white T-shirt. His hair was a mess, yet it looked hot when he ran his hand through it. "What the fuck do you want, Jimin?" He asked, his eyes were still closed, so he couldn't see that Jimin was back in his room, and I was rummaging through his food stocks. "Oh, Hwajeong, it's just you." He said, staring at me, his eyes slowly focusing on the can I was holding.
"I've overstayed my welcome, haven't I?" I asked, when I swallowed the whipped cream, gawking back at him.
"You think?" Jungkook asked rhetorically, as he raised his eyebrow at me.
"Sorry," I smiled sheepishly, "I just wanted to properly say goodbye. Besides, I don't know what time my bus leaves." I explained, while he walked toward me, sitting on the top of the kitchen island, as if waiting for me to continue. "If I appear clingy to you, please know I am really not. I didn't mean to."
"You can act however you wish if we get to repeat the previous night." Jungkook confessed casually, and I didn't think I understood him correctly.
"What?"
Jungkook smiled. What did he mean? It was just a one time thing, and the vital point of it was that it happened only once. Besides, I really didn't want to date anyone at the moment. It was fun when it lasted, but it was over now. We both had got what we wanted, and now it was time to part ways.
"Back in the club, you said that honesty is the best policy." Jungkook started, and I nodded, being willing to hear whatever he had to say. "We really don't know each other, so I don't think we have a lot to lose. I'll be frank with you, Hwajeong. The last night was amazing, I think it's the best sex I've ever had, and I'd like to repeat it sometimes. I'm not really good at dating, but I guess, we could try something else."
"Something else as in friends with benefits?" I asked, making sure I followed his reasoning. Jungkook looked me in the eyes, and nodded. "Well... the problem is, we aren't friends, Jungkook." I pinpointed, and he didn't know how to answer me. My argument was pretty critical to that arrangement.
"But we can be." Jungkook fought back, but I wasn't having his argument.
"Yeah, but we may not click. We might be compatible in sex, but we can be complete opposites in other aspects." I spoke, enjoying the conversation with him. I really liked to argue with people, especially when the argument itself didn't necessarily hurt any of the parties. Moreover, it would be really fun if Jungkook and I continued what we were doing. Unfortunately, I was afraid we really weren't made for each other to be friends. I didn't know him, and I had no idea how good of a friend he'd be.
"I'm willing to try; how about you?" He asked, and I wanted to smack him for playing with my feelings, pressuring me to do something I didn't want. He was like a terrorist right now, pushing all the blame on me. Ugh.
"Yeah, I guess." I answered meekly, not sharing his enthusiasm about it. "We could hang out for a week to see if we can be friends, and if everything goes smoothly, we could try this whole friends with benefits thing." I carried on, and he nodded in consent, complying with my proposition. Frankly, he didn't have any other option, since he was the one who wanted us to keep seeing each other. "And my real name is Kim Seol, sorry for lying to you." If we really decided to be friends, he couldn't keep calling me Hwajeong.
"Wow!" Jungkook exclaimed, looking rather confused. "Is that all? Are there any other lies?" He inquired, and I shook my head. We couldn't build a friendship on lies, and I'd come clean with everything, but there wasn't any. "Should we seal the deal with a kiss, then?" Jungkook said in his low morning voice, as he jumped off the kitchen island to approach me. He leaned forward and closed his eyes, but I only raised my hand with the can of whipped cream, and sprayed it into his mouth, laughing.

Ledger Nano S Review: Things To Know Before Ordering The Ledger Wallet
Where should I store bitcoins for maximum safety?
Is a hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano S worth buying?
Is Ledger Nano S Safe?
How does ledger Nano S work?
Why can’t I leave my bitcoins on an exchange?
These are just some of the many questions that we all go through when deciding to purchase a hardware wallet. Last year, I was also facing the same dilemma, and I wasn’t sure if I should be investing close to $120 to buy the Ledger Nano S.
This detailed and extensive review is designed so you can answer the very important question: “Should I buy the Ledger Nano S?”
But before anything else…
The backstory of how I evolved as a Bitcoin wallet user:
I always liked Bitcoin as a piece of technology, but I never intended to invest in or purchase any bitcoins. However, later on, after I discovered a few Bitcoin exchanges and became even more interested in the technology, I finally decided to buy my first bitcoins. Initially, I stored them on exchanges.
But later, I learned that this is risky as there is no guarantee that they will still be there when I want to use them.
At that time, I started using the MyCelium mobile wallet to store these bitcoins. However, we all know how easy it is to hack a mobile phone. Being from the information technology field and having a keen interest in information security, I knew it was not wise to trust my mobile phone for holding large amounts of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
That is when I discovered paper wallets, which sounded like the best option for holding Bitcoin for a long period of time, but it still seemed a little too inconvenient.
After spending countless nights learning about Bitcoin wallets and which methods would keep my Bitcoin most secure, I discovered a simple hardware wallet: The Ledger Nano S.
Based on my research, this sounded like a solid wallet, but I didn’t want to believe in another’s words until I saw it being valuable myself. By that time, I held 2 bitcoins (each worth of $1200 at the time), and my investment on that Bitcoin had already doubled, so spending $120 was no problem at all.
I was like, “What the heck… Let me order this. In the worse case scenario, I will be sharing a review and telling the world not to waste their money.” But oh boy, I was so far away from that worst case scenario…
One fine day, I received my Ledger Nano S. That same day, I transferred all of my bitcoins onto this newly purchased wallet. It was very easy. Within an hour, I was able to secure all of my bitcoins on my brand new Ledger Nano S.
“Hey, Harsh! Should I buy Ledger Nano S?”
My answer is: Definitely. Go ahead and order it right now. While this wallet gives you complete security, it also gives you something even more priceless: Peace of mind.
Order the Ledger Nano S from the official site here
Surprising Things About The Ledger Nano S
So what’s so special about the Ledger Nano S? Aren’t all hardware wallets secure in an offline environment?
Well, here’s the difference:
You can use the Ledger Nano S to store ETH, ETC, Dash, Ripple, Stratis, ZCash, Litecoin, NEO, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Cash, Viacoin and a few other alt currencies (including BTC). You can see a complete list here.
Because it’s an HD wallet, you control many accounts for all supported cryptocurrencies. This means that all cryptos stored here will be secure with the same backup key. So let’s say you are storing Bitcoin for your friends or family, you can label those account for them and keep them safe as if they were your own.
Ledger supports all ERC tokens when used with MyEtherWallet. I have already tested this.
Ledger is compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS. It can also connect to your Android device using an OTG cable.
To receive Bitcoin, your Ledger Nano S doesn’t need to be connected to a computer. You can receive Bitcoin even if your Ledger is offline.
Fine points based on our reader’s questions:
You can store unlimited coins.
When you update your wallet, you don’t need to transfer coins to anywhere. After updating and restoring, all the coins will reappear automatically.
Ledger Nano S works with Windows, Linux, Mac, Android phone.
The simple act of being able to store other cryptocurrencies on this wallet has, for me, made the whole purchase completely worthwhile.
They keep adding in support for newer cryptos for their customers, including the new Bitcoin Cash. This shows that they really do put their customer’s interests first and are not just looking to sell you things.
How About The Security Of The Ledger Nano S?
Now, let’s talk about the security of the Ledger Nano S and why it is so trustworthy. Note: For even more security options, check out its more sophisticated counterpart- Ledger Blue.
How Does The Ledger Nano S Ensure Security?
Your computer and mobile can be hacked easily. When hackers can hack multi-million dollar servers (essentially big computers), then our smaller systems should also be seen as equally vulnerable.
The Ledger has a separate chip and screen to mitigate the potential security flaw of certain apps taking random screenshots of mobile and laptop screens.
When dealing with any Bitcoin wallet, one important thing we all need to do is note down the seed key/recovery phrase. When this recovery phrase is shown on a mobile or computer screen, it becomes susceptible to hacking.
When you are using the Ledger Nano S, the seed word is displayed on the OLED screen which only you can see. And it’s no exaggeration to say that this security feature alone makes your Bitcoin holdings secure.
Moreover, most of the work like checking Bitcoin balances and account management happens through a desktop app while your Ledger Nano S is still connected to the computer via a USB cable.
When you are sending Bitcoins to someone, you need to allow the transaction by tapping certain buttons on your Ledger. So even if your computer is hacked, a hacker won’t be able to transfer those bitcoins because they don’t have physical access to your Ledger Nano S.
More Security Features:
Your Bitcoin private key is stored in a secured section of the device itself. It doesn’t ever leave the device, and hence, there’s no way for a hacker to get to it.
The Ledger Nano S is an HD wallet. This means that every time you receive funds, you get a new receiving address. This enhances your privacy to a great extent.
You can also sign a message using the Ledger Nano S to prove your ownership of the address. You may use this feature in the future when you advance in your Bitcoin and cryptocurrency usage.
There are more advantages of using Ledger Nano S that you will discover as you become more comfortable with the device.
If you are deciding between whether or not to buy, recognize that it’s going to enhance the way you interact with cryptos by a large degree.
I highly suggest you get one now.
A few more important things to know before ordering the Ledger Nano S:
Due to high demand, delivery is not instant. Thats why you should order it ASAP to get ahead in the queue.
Order Ledger only from the official site over here.
Ledger offers the Ledger Nano S and the Ledger Blue, and both are great. But if you are looking for something portable, then the Ledger Nano S is the best. Think of the Ledger Blue as the iPad version of the Ledger with the same security features.
If possible, you should order two. You can use one as a backup in case you travel a lot. This will also allow you to have even more security when dealing with cryptos.

FAQs About The Ledger Nano S
Q. What will happen if you lose your Ledger Nano S?
A: You can order a new one and restore your funds using your seed key. You can also restore your seed on any other popular Bitcoin wallet like MyCelium, GreenBits, Electrum, and CoPay.
Q. If Ledger supports a new cryptocurrency token (Ex: Monero), do I need to order a new Ledger?
A. No, you can store newly supported cryptocurrencies on your existing Ledger. This part is easy, and you can learn this from watching the above video playlist.
Q. How many cryptocurrencies do the Ledger Nano S support?
A. Ledger supports BTC, BitcoinCash, ETH, ETC, LTC, Dash, Stratis, Komodo, Ripple, and zCash. They keep adding support for new cryptocurrencies every few months.
Update: Now there more than 700 cryptocurrencies/tokens right now supported by Ledger Nano S.
Q. Will the recovery phrase recover all of the additional cryptocurrencies?
A. Yes. A single recovery phrase supports all cryptocurrencies. You can restore any cryptocurrencies (that you are using on your Ledger device) using the same recovery phrase.
Q. What if you forget the Ledger Nano S pin code?
A. You can reset your Ledger Nano S to its factory settings by entering the wrong pin 3 times. You will then need to restore your wallet using the 24-word backup key.
Q. Ledger Nano S or Ledger Blue: Which one should I buy?
A. Ledger Blue is an extended version of the Ledger Nano S, and it is costlier. The Ledger Nano S is portable and easy to move around with. If you don’t need portability and want to connect your Ledger to your devices using Bluetooth, the Ledger Blue is a good choice. Otherwise, the Ledger Nano S is better. You can also order both devices and use the same seed key to configure both of them. This way, one device can be used as a backup device.
Ledger Nano S Review: Is It Worth It?
Obviously, you can tell that I’m a huge fan of this little device. It has completely changed the game for me as I no longer have to worry about my coins becoming hacked or stolen.
Unlike a normal wallet that stores cash, even if someone steals this wallet, they won’t be able to get the funds because they won’t know my pin or seed key. This makes it truly secure.
All in all, if you’re looking for the best hardware wallet, there’s nothing better than the Ledger Nano S.
