I'm rewatching His Dark Materials and I might need to take a break for a few days, this story has too much power over my emotions.
#like listen. i genuinely think those books are what made me experience what it meant to be heartbroken for the first time#i just watched the scene where Lyra leaves Pan before the crossing#and the show didn't really even nail it you know#it lacks the visceral sense of despair and impossibity the books have#but i am still crying like a baby and clutching my plushy (which btw still the same plushy from when i first read the books)#I'm not ready to watch the ending yet#i think I'll stop the rewatch for a while and go read some fluffy fix it fic instead#his dark materials#hdm bbc
