being able to choose to become vegan is in itself a privilege but some people aren't ready for that discussion yet

things I've noticed having gotten almost 100 hours and every achievement in Palworld (note this doesn't mean I'm done with the game; I've completed my Paldeck but I haven't found every collectible)
the game explicitly states capturing other humans is a crime
poaching is also considered a crime (try visiting the wildlife sanctuaries during the day and tell me what happens)
and this one's for the vegetarians: growing crops is more sustainable than killing Pals for meat and makes it easier to keep everyone fed and happy
just don't expect to be able to survive the game as a vegan. wool is an important resource and it's VERY hard to just find it lying around
the four primary factions are portrayed as antagonistic, because while they may do good in the universe overall their ideals are being taken to dangerous extremes... and the game makes this bluntly obvious by having you battle the faction leaders, rather than just accepting it or joining in
there's further comment about the dynamics of these groups and how nuanced they are in collectible journals (though I kinda wish the story was more prominent but also the game is still in early access so)
slavery is, as others have stated, not portrayed as a good thing
in fact the game encourages you to provide good working and living conditions for your Pals
literally the only difference between catching a Pokémon and catching a Pal is you can't ask a Pokémon to operate machinery for you
I'd argue Pokémon was worse until recently because you couldn't pet or brush them. Palworld lets you pet them and also send them on forced vacation by throwing them into a hot spring so they HAVE to look after themselves (something I have had to do frequently and my Pals have been better off for)
in fact I'd argue Palworld gives a message to work to your best strengths but also to not overwork yourself and let yourself have rest time to do your best, and that it's okay to rely on others and work as a team
in short this argument isn't the one you want to make against Palworld. there's far better arguments to make against it, and this ain't it chief
