What do you think of how they're rebooting Rainbow High, and why do you suppose they're leaving Poppy out?

Most of what I've seen so far were those leaks about the girls having those slime/crystal pets (along with having "sparkly" faces now?) and uhhhh...

...yeaaaah dunno how to really feel tbh, esp after the strong doll lines we've had throughout the year (as conflicting story-wise as some of them were during the RainbowVision/Shadow High arc). Like we're gonna go from these really glamorous, intricately detailed Rainbow Divas, Storm Twins & Costume Ball ladies to... cutesy-wootsey glitter girls? .-. Idk, hopefully they'll look a bit better in-person or maybe even get some design tweaks before their final release (like they did for Krystal Bailey way back then), 'cause otherwise... ehhhh >>;;

And I don't even get the whole Poppy exclusion either cause like... what's a proper rainbow without orange, yknow? 🥺🌈Even if her character was sadly pushed more to the background as time went on, I still found Poppy a pretty cute & relatable character imo (with quite a unique aesthetic with her monarch butterfly/music-themed focus).

As for why I theorize they're cutting her out of the main line... honestly I'm not sure, I guess they might think some kids aren't so big on orange as a doll color (or prob just feel like they’d go more for “rainbow” aesthetics like Amaya’s vibe)? Idk, still seems rather silly in my opinion so either way, #JusticeForPoppy :/

💍 RING — does your oc have any piercings? do they want any (more) piercings?

Yess she’s got 2 earlobe piercings per ear, a nostril piercing, and snake bites. I’ve drawn her with nipple piercings once or twice but I haven’t decided if that’s her heart or not. I think if she did get them she’d take them out at soon as they healed out of Annoyance. As freaky as she is she is also pretty practical and doesn’t need more shit on her body like that. I think she’d probably enjoy more face/ear piercings tho since those are a little bit less obtrusive. Tongue or eyebrow Maybe. This is one reason among many as to why she cannot easily have a real science job </3

🩹 ADHESIVE BANDAGE — does your oc have any physical and/or mental disabilities?

She’s plenty physically-abled but if her mental health status counts as a disability then….Yknow. Bpd and depression central. Severe enough to interfere with most aspects of her life and it’s obvious to anyone who knows anything about her. She struggles to have normal relationships with anyone and is reckless and manipulative and explosive. She is normally at least passively suicidal and self-harms regularly. She’s probably been Institutionalized a few times in her youth but she’s a grown ass adult who ‘doesnt believe in that’ now.

not formally but she's done her share of damage with a scalpel 🤪 she's not insane enough to get into guns being the way that she is but she IS anxious enough to at least think about it. self-defense keychain owner.

She’s a she/her cis lesbian but my future vision for her if she doesnt khs beforehand is being a almost-40 yr old she/they/it with a phd. girl you are so subversive.

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

I think maybe she’s not from Vegas but perhaps Reno??? And just moved to vegas for college. I think she plans on staying there tho. She has no strong feelings about reno except that it’s more boring than vegas and that it has bad memories attached to it (nothing super specific besides her hard hard life in general + leaving is her attempt to move on and grow). Vegas will Also have bad memories attached to it but it’s still too fresh to say <3

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

vic and the approval of vic <3 and also probably bruno to a lesser degree but i think she'd act that way towards any weird old man who validated her. i think the music scene is her most important non-person thing tho, and it's what will remain to be important to her even after this bruno vic stuff inevitably goes south. she never did and still doesnt have many friends to go to shows with but now that she's in a band she's at least got minor fame on her side if not notoriety. her studies and staying on task in her life is also important to her, but it feels like more of a necessity than something she loves. failure just isnt an option on that one (until it Is).

💜 PURPLE HEART — what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?

Man I dont think i ever picked a last name for her or anything to base this off of. she comes from a long line of uhhhhh *spins wheel* irish and polish. I don't think shes particularly genetically predisposed to anything or got much weird going on at all. all her issues are from her beautiful mind alone <3

🍛 CURRY AND RICE — what does your oc's typical dinner look like? do they usually eat dinner?

Pizza from vic >w< idk what kinda pizza she orders tho. seems like maybe a pepperoni or supreme type. if it's not pizza, i think she keeps it simple/grazes instead of eating a full meal bcz she doesn't have the motivation to do otherwise. shes not picky or terribly broke tho so shes usually got a good selection to choose from. needs those nutrience for her performances 💪

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

i think she's got a staring problem like severely LOL shes creepy. she's generally pretty deadpan when not appearing to be so anxious that shes on the verge of throwing up. slouches. laughs at her own jokes. she's a very intense performer. she is dancing around she is breaking shit she is heavy breathing into the mic and smashing it on her head and cutting herself on stage and assaulting audience members an

☘️- Yknow who I want Orca to meet? Cherrybite from ScaleClan. Cherry is Orca's polar opposite in a lot of ways (being a rough & tumble warrior who's cooled off lately and become a full-time mommy) but I think the two of them would honestly get along surprisingly well!!! I'd love to see Orca's sweetness and Cherry's humor get together for a nice conversation. I also think she would YELL at Peachpetal when she found out what a bad mom she is.

🌲- Wisteriamoon...I want at least one set of COTM full-time moms to kiss and I think it should be Orca and Wis. They're both soft but Wis is also FUCKHUGE and idk I just imagine Orcashine looking respectfully
