When we’re in a romantic relationship, we sometimes wonder how we’re so affected by our partners, and of course, we wonder if we are also capable of pulling the strings in their hearts, wondering if they are comfortable and trust us enough to let us be the maestro of their hearts.

One card to symbolise you: The Tower

You’re currently going through something, and this message is loud and clear. However, I’m not seeing much worries? The waves are huge but you’re taking the chance and surfing on it instead of swimming your way to land. I’d say that it’s because of a certain confidence that’s in you, where you’re secured enough that the storm will die and you’ll still be safe no matter what happens. You have heard, seen or any other forms of receiving messages from your guides and the Universe, that things will pass and you’ll still be safe. You have that faith, and you let that voice guide you through the chaos and broken promises that are happening around you. For some, you may not be the one falling from The Tower, but are the spectators as you’ve heard of the warning messages and heeded them, leaving the danger zone soonest. You may be looking at the others who are struggling right now and wonder how to help them, if you should be helping them. There can be quite a few different situations and circumstances, but either way, I do not feel much chaos or pain from this card. This card is more of a statement than a description.

One card to symbolise your person: The Hanged Man

Your person reminds me of a cat, inquisitive and curious. They won’t swat every single thing on the counter down, but will take it up, observe closely, and may accidentally break it. They may have a tendency to get into certain unexpected situations, but they are very well capable of getting themselves out of them too. They’re capable of looking at situations from various angles, but they just have a habit of accidentally saying something that sides with one of the conflicted parties. It just extends further and he just gets his hair tangled on all sides to make sure that things are “fair” (same amount of pros and cons for both sides). Yet, pairing the energy of Venus and Neptune, your person feels very… Aesthetically dreamy. No, not in physical appearance, but the general vibe of them. There’s a soft charismatic energy that they have, which makes you feel like you want to nurture them. They don’t quite need it tho, despite how they look. They’re capable of masking themselves softer than they are so that the people around them will lower their guards down easier.

You do not put yourself into situations. You weigh, judge, contemplate the various issues that’s going on around you, and you’re capable of detaching yourself from things that can put you at a disadvantage. For example, you know that your neighbour needs help. You don’t mind helping it once or twice, but you also know that your neighbour will be leaving the house often and will continue to ask for your assistance constantly (based on past observations). With that in mind, you chose to not offer to help them out. You would think you’re just making a rational decision by weighing the pros and cons, but not your person. Your person would think that it’s natural to help those that are in need, and they can be upset over it. The main theme would be detachment and isolation, where you have the ability to just avoid the murky waters, or not step into the waters at all. You may also be able to get over certain emotional related issues quicker than your person. This will make your person feel bad that they’re still “trapped in the past pain” while you’ve already “moved on”. I put them in quotation marks cuz this would be their thoughts, but not what actually is.

My first thought from seeing it is that your person may be frugal, financially or skill wise. Let’s say that you want to get a technician to fix something, they’ll be like “I know how to fix it” or “I know someone, lemme get them, they owe me one anyways”, and there’s a 50-50 chance where they’ll mess it up or not get the problem fixed on time. Your motto would be if money gets the thing done, you’ll spend the money. But not them. They’ll be fixing things, preparing home cooked food when you mentioned you’re in the mood for a buffet. You know that it’s not something to be blamed, that being frugal is helpful in the long run where you guys can save up more. However, there are just times where you want to splurge on yourself, where you want to see physical and material gifts. To you, it’s something that you can see and feel, it’s something of monetary value. There will be frustration here from time to time, and you’ll need to work on balancing emotionally and getting your point across.

3. What can be possibly toxic or problematic between you two? - Five of Wands

I would say that conflicts and/or arguments can be pretty frequent in your relationship. You guys are used to your own set of values and rules, finding the other person’s set of values questionable and not aligning with yours. This is definitely due to the different upbringings you both have (family and society play a role here, yes). Every disagreement can spark fights, but some can be debates. Fights happen because of anger and how much you want to be heard; while debates happen because you want to persuade the other person to see things from your point of view. No matter the reason, you need to understand that the main outcome from this is to arrive at a common ground, to understand what are the things or issues you two need to compromise and get used to.

You two have learnt to not leave the other person, to not let them feel even a speck of loneliness, as you have gone through that personal hell yourself. It has been a long journey, but you will notice that the load gets lighter with every step taken as you cleanse yourself throughout the way.

The first thing I’m picking up here is that you have an impatient energy within you where you like starting projects even though your body is tired or you have unfinished projects currently. The cards were impatient and quite a few flew out, which I believe talks about the impulsivity and slightly annoyed energy you have towards yourself and everything around you. There’s a need for you to be able to control a certain aspect of your life, and you’re just… Unable to hold it firm in your hand. Change is often present, and it’s either things are changing around you or you’ve decided to be the catalyst of change. However, that change is external, as you’re still quite in your comfort zone where you are unwilling to move out. You can change people and/or some things, but those don’t apply to you. Some of you may have Earth placements or Saturn as one of your dominant planets.

One card to symbolise your person: The Empress rx

For some reason, I see this as… Your person’s someone who’s not very in tune with their emotional side. I need to emphasise that the word I’m using here is “in tune”. They’re someone who knows about their emotions and feelings towards things, issues and people. But, they’re unable to understand and work together with those emotions to reach an answer or a conclusion to reach an action goal. MBTI wise, it’s giving me the vibe of an inferior Fi function, where they’re unable (or to a certain extent, unwilling) to explore and express their emotions. There’s a lack of softness and gentleness they have towards themselves, but they’ll do their best to provide for you. I’m seeing some patterns of anxious attachment style, where they would want to do what’s good for you but are afraid that they’ll disappoint you, causing you discomfort as they’ve been debilitated in the past. With the gentle energy of the Empress, they’re working on it bit by bit.

For some reason, I’d say that you have a certain stronghold over your words and actions that can affect your person. The first thought I had when I saw this card was “cold war”, where you two don’t speak to each other, or you just choose to shut down and not communicate your thoughts to your person. I’m not saying that you will do this, but if you ever subconsciously do this (shutting down, unwilling to communicate), the damage you’ll be delivering is going to be much stronger than you or your person expected. They may experience similar issues in the past and have handled it appropriately, but if it’s you, you’re able to mess it up real bad. However, if you use that energy and engage in active conflict and resolve them, you’ll be able to benefit the relationship as you understand each other better through conflict, removing the tension as you two work things out together. You need to know how impactful you are towards your person, and to not use it to hurt them. You can build them, and you can break them, and please, for the love of God, DO NOT be proud of it. Weirdly, the first thing I’m feeling is that… Your person can be more comfortable on the financial side as they may be the main person who provides travel related assistance. They may work in fields that require them to travel a lot and hence, able to bring you along on their trips. Or with how frequent they’ve travelled, they have saved up a bunch of mileage points and can use them to bring you around. So let’s say, you guys got into an argument, they can very much easily cancel whatever trip they’ve been planning to bring you with. That kind of power. In which, it will also affect your mood and emotions, especially if you’ve made a bunch of plans and suddenly they’re all gone. However, I’m seeing that they’re a gentle person, so I don’t think they’ll be doing something like that. Still, that’s what they’re capable of providing, that’s their power over you.

3. What can be possibly toxic or problematic between you two? - Five of Pentacles rx

Financial views is something I’m picking up immediately. You two are probably prone to being career driven, which allows you two to be able to earn and contribute financially. However, how you two view money and use them can be different. For example, one of you would use it for trips (huge spending at once) and the other would use it for everyday life (fine dining once a week, or gatherings with friends often). This will bring upon disagreements and sometimes, even arguments, as you two have not properly talked things out and arrived at a middle point, where both sides compromise equally. There may also be a chance where one person earns more than the other, and the one with a lower income may feel imbalance and not know how to stand on equal grounds with the one who provides more, creating internal conflict and not resolving it. They may also end up more dependent and the codependency may worsen with time. It is very important for both sides to recognise this and to work together to resolve this crisis.

I’m seeing healing and growing, and then transforming bit by bit throughout the journey together. It’s a process that will take a long time, but you two are patient in it because you two know that results are guaranteed and it would be worth it. You two are very goal driven (or at least, one of you are, and the other is willing to go along with it). Instead of working on something that may or may not work, you two are more prone towards doing things that have a secured outcome, taking calculated risks. Whatever difficulties you’ve gone through in the past made you stand up, and this time, you’re not standing up alone. You guys don’t necessarily throw yourselves into challenges as they present themselves to you guys through shared decisions made. One card to symbolise you: The Hierophant

My first thought from seeing this card is that you’re… More inclined to the traditional values of how you were brought up with. It may not be your family’s traditional values, or the society’s traditional values. It’s more of… A certain concept, I’d say. For example, marriage is supposed to be between two people (monogamous), and you may have difficulties in understanding and/or accepting the concept of polyamorous relationships. Another example could probably be you’re a huge advocate of home cooked food as outside food is all MSG and unhealthy, which is a value that’s pretty much found in Asian families (“We Have Food At Home” by Mom). These are just examples, but if you ask yourself deep, you do know that it’s talking about you, and you don’t really listen to other people who say otherwise.

If anything, I’d say that your person is someone who’s very in tune with themselves. I would also say that they’re a person who constantly renews themselves and to make sure that their information is not outdated. They’re very welcoming to new details, but they also are rather selective, which is a plus point for anyone who sees things from a lot of aspects, making them a rather balanced and critical person. If it took you long for you to meet your person, it’s because they’ve been working on themselves to be at the right place to meet you. For some of you, your person may be your soulmate, where you’re comfortable enough to confide in them on various things.

1. What power do you have over your person? - The Tower rx

I’d say that you’ve gone through quite a lot of significant changes in your life, where you grow from your pain and challenges in life. But also, this can appear threatening to your person as you’re used to chaos in your life, and your person may not be so. Something that appears dangerous to them may be nothing to you, and how you react to it will make them feel belittled, as though you’re not from the same world. I would say that this also stems from the various family values you two have gotten and grew up with. There’s also themes of imprisonment, where your person may be used to keeping themselves in check so as to not create discord or discomfort, but you are more… “I couldn’t give a damn” kinda attitude, which may make them feel lesser than you. Weirdly, I’m seeing this as your person may be younger than you, or may be less experienced than you in terms of career and finances (they may have gotten into their desired field of work later in their life). With this, it creates a disparity or conflict where you’ll need to compromise with them more. To you, you may feel that they’re more of a responsibility than of a lover. It’s like… You love them, that’s why you feel the need to compromise certain dreams of yours. For example, you’re aiming to go for an overseas trip together in June. However, they have a training session that they need to attend, and you chose to cancel the trip instead of going alone cuz “it feels off”. It’s not like they’re doing this on purpose, but sometimes, their presence may make you wonder if you’re doing enough for them or not. You may also feel a lack of worth when you stand by their side, as you notice their potential to flourish into a King/Queen, and you’re not sure if you’ll be equals during then.

The first thing I’m picking up here is that there’s a lot of daydreaming here. A lot of “what if”s and a lot of fantasy painting. It’s like… There’s an expectation of plans to fail and you guys can go “a lil bit of daydreaming isn’t bad”. The image I have in my head has two people sitting together on a bean bag (young energy), leaning into each other and discussing plans of wedding and fun activities to do, and then leaving that as plans and not doing anything about it. There may be a hint of leaving future things for a future you to handle kinda energy. Alternatively, the daydreaming may shadow faults and shortcomings. There’s a tendency to paint everything pink or look through them through rose tinted glasses. There are a lot of hints and issues there, but you tend to focus on the prettier items and ignore the more serious questions. It will take quite a lot of time and problems to happen for you to break the bubble and to recognise the issues at hand. The lack of action is highlighted here, as well as impulsivity of choosing flight over fight. This may also be due to the power or financial imbalance existing in the relationship.

4. How can you two transform/evolve together? - Nine of Pentacles

Surprisingly, I’m seeing you two grow individually. Like, you guys go through the life lessons together, but instead of growing together as a couple, you two grow individually, as your own person, and couple together. The best example I can think of is where one’s an accountant and the other’s a painter, where your knowledge is different, but you guys improve in whatever you’re doing and still enjoy cooking together. You guys work and support each other throughout the journey, helping the other person to invest and grow into the best version of yourself. You guys also learn to communicate more to assure the other person that they’re not being left behind, that all the effort right now is worth it in the future. There are a lot of future related themes in this card, may it be building the future together, having a common goal for the future together, or building a new self together. Individuality is very important for you guys, and I’m seeing less of a compromise for each other. For you guys, it’s 1(you) + 1(them) = 1(you) + 1(them) + 1(a future built together). Hopefully this makes sense.

I’m seeing here that your life together will be very pleasant. You guys are capable of building a home together once you’ve gone through the challenges, learning more about the buttons of each other and knowing which to push at the right time. Honestly speaking, there’s less of a “trial and error” kinda vibe in this relationship, but more of “oiling the cogs” here. This card is giving me harmony and happiness, as well as a beginning together, may it be engagement, marriage, or partnership. There’s also some form of balance and groundedness here, so if you or your person was flighty or emotional, you will be more toned down and will be able to look at the earthly sense too.

6. The core values in this relationship: The Hanged Man rx, Wheel of Fortune rx

I’m hearing stubbornness here for the both of you. You two are used to your own ways, your own values as you two grew up together, which definitely lead to you two growing individually. You both have experienced stagnation and detachment in the relationship, and effort has been made for you two to evolve and find a comfortable point for each other. Do not push or rush yourself through things right now, as Destiny is realigning itself for you at the moment. Have faith that you’re the co-creator of your life and destiny, and that you will still be able to write your story however you want it. This may be a challenging period in your life, but things will work out as you pick yourself up, nourish yourself and prepare for the upcoming battles. I’d say that you’re someone who’s losing touch of your spiritual side. Not to put it in a bad way. It’s just a reminder that you should tune into spirituality from time to time. A bunch of things have been happening to you and around you, where it’s completely natural and equally important for you to focus on whatever that’s going on externally. However, take some time to perhaps pull a card or two if you do tarot, or meditate and listen to your higher self. Make spirituality a part of your daily life, let your hands feel the running water as you feel it taking away your tiredness and emotional impurities. Find the discomfort, acknowledge it, and let it be cleared out from your system.

My first thought when I see this card is that your person has a balanced air and earth and water energy here. It’s an energy that I’m very comfortable with, where they’re grounded and yet able to resonate with you in terms of emotions, and they’re smart and comfortable with who they are. This is a very assured person, knowing what they want and how to achieve it. For some reason, it feels like they enjoy cooking or making comfort food for the people they care for. Your person may also be your soulmate, and they’re pretty much educated with a lot of things, or they’ve been involved in various projects and activities and hence gaining the knowledge and experience of life. They may have a mysterious side to them as well 😎

Similar to Pile 2, you have this card here to signify the power you have over your person. However, Pile 2 is more passive aggressive while yours is more… Actively aggressive. You do not think twice about your words and can be rather blunt with how you express yourself. For some reason, I’m seeing that it may be due to you having some sort of insecurity over yourself and the relationship, or you may have some inferiority complex where you do not see yourself worthy of this relationship. I need to emphasise a little that it’s not your words that’s the power you have over your person, but the mentality of you not thinking yourself highly (or as high as they see you) that can drive your person up the wall. It’s the chain reaction that will make your person feel powerless, not knowing how to help you and to show the world to you, that there are better things in life and that you’re worth so much in their hearts.

Your person is very adamant in communication, if that makes sense. They are vocal and more structured in their speech, and will not stop the conversation there until you fully understand what they mean. This card feels… Not young. Your person has been through quite a number of things in their life and have learnt to communicate effectively, making sure that their needs are heard, and knowing what they need to do. For some reason, I’m also seeing charms? They may be quite charming, good with their words, fulfills the typical definition of success, and people may be drawn to them. That may also be the reason why you’re insecure, since they’re pretty charismatic themselves.

For some reason, I’d say that you two can be fairly new or fresh in relationships, not having dated much before, or this can be your proper first love. There’s a tinge of inexperience here, something like a young love, where you two tend to experiment much on the various aspects of a romantic relationship. You two may be prone to doing fun activities a lot, hence, ending up not talking much about the practical aspects of a relationship, for example, marriage and responsibilities. It’s through the pain and exhaustion that you learn better about yourself and your person, where you guys learn the importance of the balance of body, mind and soul. You both learn to let go of things that are not within your control, let go of things that are pulling you down. There are themes of releasing pain here, and also releasing guilt. Like,,, you’re holding onto a fault you’ve done years ago, and not letting yourself free from it, forever beating yourself up over That One Thing you’ve done when you were a teenager. The same may be for your person as well, and you two just learn to let the past remain in the past. You will need to expand your horizons, and let yourself try things you never had the chance to mess around with. Throughout this period of time, you both also learn about the tendency of being apathetic towards your own pain (you think that your pain is nothing; they think that their pain ain’t much worth mentioning). Detachment towards your emotions is a thing, making you stuck in the past. Your inner child is not healed, and this would be something you and your person will be working on, to find ways to heal yourselves, enjoying the world with its gifts for you. You’ll learn how to nurture the people around you, but starting from yourself. It’s like… Two wounded small animals hiding under a shade as they licked each other’s wounds. That, but things are promised to be better.

5. What can you two achieve together? - Strength rx, The Hanged Man rx

The Hanged Man rx extends towards this card, symbolising that by breaking past habits and treating yourself kindly, only then you’ll be able to grow stronger together. The topic and lessons about inner self will follow here as well, and may be a lifelong theme where you constantly need to nurture yourself and each other to flourish. The strength you both will gain will be inwards, where you are more gentle towards yourself, more forgiving of yourself, bandaging the wounds that your inner lion has caused. Your passion, desires and anger is the inner lion in you, and you’ll be learning to keep it in check once you understand them and accept them. Imagine going through the five stages of grief, and it ends with acceptance. That’s when you learn to live together with it as part of you. Remember that strength comes in gentleness too, and that to accept your vulnerability takes a lot of strength, energy and effort. I would also add that once you are at this stage, you’ll be able to combat self-inadequacy and doubt, learning to trust yourself and your partner. It’s a constant growing process, but you have each other to support and help throughout this journey. Together, your strength can be limitless.

6. The core values in this relationship: The Hanged Man rx, The Sun

The Hanged Man rx appeared again. I’d say that one of the core values in this relationship is to learn to open up and accept the emotions (the happy ones and the not so positive ones) you’ve been feeling. You or your person, or perhaps the both of you have had a difficult childhood growing up, where you guys have learnt to repress the various feelings for you to function. In this relationship, opportunities will open up via challenges (discussions, disagreements, compromises, failed plans, etc.), and you two will need to learn to release the pain and anger. From there, the relationship will continue to renew and become stronger, and you two will also be able to heal at your own pace. I’m seeing that one of you may have been working on it earlier than the other, and the one who’s more experienced in self-healing will be able to help the other. Followed by healing comes The Sun that’s hiding behind the rainy clouds. Another core value that I’m seeing here is that you two will learn to enjoy the small and big happiness in your life. Celebration is the theme here, where you two will learn about appreciation and gratitude, growing along the way to celebrate the small and big wins, achievements and building up self-worth along the way. Red one was a piece of shit movie.

I don't disagree with the OP's statements here, in that Seb and Chris are two different actors who approach their profession differently. Sebastian clearly thinks more about the craft of it, but I don't think Chris is choosing projects just for the paycheck. Let's examine what he's done since Endgame came out in 2019:

The Red Sea Diving Resort - I liked this movie. I know it was a little too white-saviory for some people's tastes, but I didn't mind it. It was interesting to me and felt balanced. It dealt with an interesting and at times heavy historical topic, so it's not like the story was boring or typical blockbuster fodder. And Evans was the only main character played by a big-name celeb. With those things combined, I don 't see how it it would've been a guaranteed success and therefore paycheck. I think it was a neat project to sign on for.

Knives Out - This movie was fantastic! It was an oddball genre-bender, but it had a lot of big stars in it and an outstanding screenplay. I can only praise Chris for jumping on this role, and I'd never claim that he chose this one for the money. It was just an excellent project to be involved in - and as a villain, no less! *see note in Gray Man

Defending Jacob - This was Chris' baby. He was excited to be an executive producer on it. This was a somber legal drama that, again, does not scream paycheck to me. It's likely the story and characters that drew Chris in. It gave him a chance to act in a more grounded, serious role. This was definitely not a paycheck project.

Buzz Lightyear - Come on. It's Disney. If somebody was gonna give Chris a chance to be the voice for the main character in a friggin' Disney animated movie, no way was he going to turn that down!

The Gray Man - This project had both 1. directors he's worked with and knows well, and 2. costars he's worked with and liked. And having that familiarity is enticing to all people, let alone people who struggle with anxiety as Chris does. But I believe Lloyd is the main reason Chris joined this project. Think about it: it's a dudebro spy action thriller. Not much is that unique about the plot itself, but I can definitely see Chris being excited to play the wacky nasty character of Lloyd. This was an excellent role for him to demonstrate that he is more than capable of playing the villain. I think this, along with his character of Ransom in Knives Out, was part of his attempt to ensure that he wasn't typecast for the rest of his life.

Ghosted - I haven't seen this one, so I can only go on what I've heard, which is that the movie isn't great. I thought it looked cute and fun, from the clips I've seen. But, going on the assumption that it was a bit of a dud, I think it's pretty obvious that having Ana de Armas as his costar was a big factor in him accepting the role. The impression that I get is that those two get along famously and work well together. I can totally see someone selling Chris on the genre shake-up of the man being the damsel in distress, and then Ana was the cherry on top. It probably sounded like a fun project to do with a friend.

Pain Hustlers - Again, this one deals with a heavy topic (the opiod Crisis) that is worth talking about. I don't see it as obvious blockbuster fodder. I haven't seen the movie, but it is certainly a role worth taking, given that the subject matter is so relevant. I also want to note that Chris is taking roles in projects put out by various streaming services. This one is through Netflix, others through Hulu, Apple TV, Disney, and Prime Video. He may be trying to build relationships with all of these distributors, to help him in his career endeavors/ambitions in the future. It's a valid motivation and a smart move--especially if he wants to open up more avenues for him possibly directing and/or producing in the future.

Deadpool and Wolverine - I doubt he needed to show up for more than a day to shoot his scenes for this. No brainer! It's funny, the pressure of being the leading man is off his shoulders, and he gets to do that hilarious monologue! What's not to love? If I could make a million dollars just by showing up for a day of work, I'd do a lot worse things than a curse-laden comedic cameo to earn that 🤑🤑🤑

Red One - I wanted to like this movie, because I love Chris and I love Dwayne Johnson. But let's be real: this movie sucked. I watched it yesterday night. Other than a few cute details, it really did not impress me at all, and at some points the plot (mostly when involving Kiernan Shipka) had me wanting to turn it off altogether. It was a bad script, and it didn't embrace the ridiculous elements in the right way. But I mean, this one should be obvious too: Chris loves Christmas. He's always wanted to be in a Christmas movie, and I can so see him dreaming of being in a film that becomes a solid member of the bundle of heartwarming Christmas movies that families re-watch every year, like Elf and The Santa Clause. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. Chris probably made the mistake of jumping on the first big-budget Christmas movie that came around on offer. He should've waited for something else.

Let's not forget that Chris is worth hundreds of millions of dollars: He could retire now, no problem, and raise a family in luxury with his wife and still die rich. I seriously don't think he's in it just for the paycheck. I think he's choosing roles in a variety of types of films - some of them easy, some of them not. I think sentimentality and the comfort of familiarity have gotten the better of him a time or two, but he hasn't been choosing tons of super shitty projects just for a big payout.

As to his return to Marvel, my first thought is that it could signal his desire to stay with something he knows and is comfortable around (genre, plot, filming setup, fellow actors, friends, directors, etc.). This is something you do see in people who struggle with anxiety, which we know Chris does. But on top of that, if the fan theory floating around that he's going to play a bad-guy shapeshifter in the form of Steve Rogers is correct, then maybe he thinks the role sounds fun.

And lastly, not to be mean, but Chris simply isn't as good of an actor as Sebastian is. I think that's pretty evident if you watch a few of their movies. You can see the qualitative difference, overall. Sebastian takes roles to learn something new. I'm not certain that Chris always does. He doesn't take the craft of acting as seriously as Seb does, he's less cerebral about it - and that's okay!

I think both Chris and Sebastian have done the most important thing, which is to find what work makes them happiest. They're both lucky enough to have found success in a notoriously difficult industry, and now each have the star power required to be able to pick and choose which roles they take on, rather than accepting anything they can get. I do understand OP's point about the actors being a big driving factor in what films get made, but if I had to pick a top five list of actors who sell out for 'blah' roles just for the money, Chris Evans would not be on that list. With this new "detective comedy film" Honey Don't! in the works - wherein Chris purportedly plays a cult leader - I have high hopes that another quirky mystery film might be on the horizon for Chris.

Time will tell!

it was clear from the start that there was something between the two of you. it wasn't uncommon for megan to elbow you at practice because she caught you staring at sophia again, or for marquise to do the same to sophia for catching her staring at you

the two of you had very different personalities though, so you didn't click right away. she was more serious, a little strict, while you hit it off with megan instantly with how the two of you liked to joke around and have fun

it took a while for you two to really talk instead of just staring at each other during practice. but once the two of you did, she saw that you weren't just the goofball you seemed to be, and you truly did love what you were doing

when the final lineup was announced, and you were both included, the first thing you two did was find each other. the hug you shared felt like coming home, and you wouldn't have let her go if not for the others wanting to hug you two as well

the seven of you went out to a fancy restaurant that night to celebrate, and that was really when things came to a head for you two. you held hands in the car, on the way in the restaurant, even at the table while you waited for your food. nobody said anything, but you already looked like a couple at that point

you had asked sophia if she liked her meal, and when she offered you a bite, you couldn't help but notice the way her eyes lingered on your lips. and you just couldn't help but lick your lips to see her reaction. her eyes darkening as they met yours wasn't something you expected, but it sent a shiver down your spine

sophia would say she kissed you first, you would say you kissed sophia first. neither of you really know, because the second you got back to the dorm, you were both headed towards sophia's room and just gravitated towards each other

that night, the two of you talked about how you felt and what you wanted, but it was in between kisses, because you just couldn't really help yourself now that you knew she wanted you back

I've been working on my own Transformers iteration for a little while now and came to a realization about Optimus. One of his most common backstories is being a data clerk in Iacon, a job that wouldn't require much driving (if any) and wouldn't need him to move heavy things often. Yet his alt-mode is always at least adjacent to a semi a vehicle that is made to travel long distances with heavy objects. He is quite literally built for travel yet is unable to do so freely. It got me thinking about how pre-war Optimus and Megatron may have more in common than they thought. So I decided to lean into that in my iteration.

Functionalism is still a thing but it's less based on your alt-mode and more based on the unique advantages your frame has. Data Collectors have naturally strong processors that are able to store and recall information faster than other frame types so they are kept indoors to record events that they get from other sources. War-frames are known as the lowest of the low so they are sent out to do menial tasks such as helping in the mines after an accident, being temporary guards, and so on. Their most common "job" however is being a gladiator in the gladiator pits.

Below the cut is how my Orion Pax and D-16's first conversation goes

Orion walked up to the the large silver War-frame without a hint of fear as his optics shined brighter than they had in lunar cycles. "Woah! That fight was incredible! I've never seen moves like that before and I've watched a ton of the ancient holovids on fighting," Orion exclaimed practically bouncing with barely contained excitement.

D-16 stared down at the red and blue mech. He appeared to be about the same age as him though he only came up to around the middle of his chassis. D-16 let a smirk take over his faceplate as he said "Thank you. You must be a Cultural Surveyor right? It's not often we see frames of your type around the gladiator pits. What brings you here to watch us hm?"

Truthfully D-16 was slightly worried. Cultural Surveyors hardly bothered with coming to the gladiator pits unless Sentinel Prime was there and they never visited the gladiators personally. That was unless they were spying on them. He had to stop himself from stiffening at that thought. Countless War-frames had made the mistake of venting their frustrations at the conditions they found themselves in around a Cultural Surveyor and were never seen again. He wondered distantly if word had somehow gotten out about his plans but before his thoughts could fester any more the smaller mech spoke.

"You’re welcome, but I'm not a Cultural Surveyor I'm just a simple Data Collector. Heh. Truth is I'm technically not even supposed to be here right now," Orion said as he rubbed the back of his helm with a nervous chuckle. He had barely managed to convince Jazz to cover for him while he snuck out, only being able to do so by promising the mech he would be able to play whatever music he wanted in their shared living quarters for the next few solar cycles. It was definitely worth it though.

This peaked D-16's interest. He had never met a mere Data Collector before though now that he looked at the mech he could see the slight differences between him and Cultural Surveyors. He seemed to have less bulk and was slightly smaller than any Cultural Surveyor he had ever seen. His optics, though still bright, lacked the typical sheen that indicated if they were recording something. D-16 let himself relax. This mech was simply a fan of fighting and had no ill intentions. His plan to liberate all War-frames was still safe so he decided to indulge the mech in some playful banter.

"You still haven't answered my question on what brings you here, Data Collector?"

Orion jumped slightly at the question and began to curl in on himself as he answered, "W-Well you see I just, uh, n-needed to get out of the Hall of Records. I spend so much t-time in there and well transforming isn't exactly allowed within the Hall, like at all. But I really needed to j-just get out and, you know, drive and I just c-couldn't wait until my next scheduled solar cycle off as it's not for another lunar cycle or two so I convinced Ja-a friend of mine to cover for me and once I started d-driving I just couldn't stop and then I-I ended up here so..."

D-16 felt his spark twist as the mech rambled on. The mech who seemingly had no fear as he walked up to the War-frame was now as skittish as a cyber-mouse and looked as if he might bolt if D-16 did so much as vent wrong. The more he talked the more dread started to pool in his tanks. 'He wasn't allowed to transform for lunar cycles on end?! That has to be terrible.' D-16 had heard the horror stories of Seekers going crazy if being kept from transforming and flying for too long and had always wondered if something like that existed for grounders as well. He had never been able to find out as War-frames needed to be able to transform constantly otherwise they wouldn't be able to bring out their weapons. 'Maybe he just has an alt that isn't well suited for driving.' Yeah that had to be it. After all War-frames were treated as the worst of the worst and yet they still kept their ability to transform at any moment.

"If you don't mind me asking what exactly is your alt-mode," D-16 asked making sure that it sounded as casual as possible. His question seemed to snap the smaller mech out of his spiral as he froze before turning his helm towards D-16.

"Uh I g-guess I could just, uh, s-show you it," Orion said before taking a step back to leave room for his transformation. He exvented harshly to try and stop his shaking before letting his instincts take control as he turned into his alt-mode.

'Oh Primus of all the alt-modes to have...' It was worse than D-16 could have imagined. The mech before him had an alt-mode D-16 had seen countless of. Any bot he had seen with this alt he heard talk relentlessly about how much they adored being able to drive freely carrying tons of things behind them from city to city rarely staying in one place too long unless they were with their family. He could hear it so vividly how they said that their family was the only thing that kept them from going insane from being in one place for so long. D-16's spark broke for the mech just before a thought struck him.

'If this is how they treat their spies how do they treat everyone else.' That sobered him up quick. He had never bothered to think about how any of the other frame types could have been abused under the Council's heel. How could he have when all he ever heard was how good they had it and how him and his frame type were the scum of Cybertron, but now? Looking at the mech in front of him was all the proof he needed. The Council needed to go and not just for his fellow War-frames but for all Cybertronians. They all needed to rise up together.

As Orion transformed back into root mode a arm was suddenly swung around him pulling him off the ground and close to the silver mech who said, "Tell you what how about you and me go have some energon and drive around the Gladiator pits some before you head back yeah? And if you manage to beat me I'll tell you a few secrets, but you have to swear you won't record anything or else I'm kicking you out got it?"

Orion looked at the mech with wide optics as a blush started to make its way across his faceplate. One of, if not the, greatest gladiators (definitely hottest) of all time was offering to get a drink and race with him, and he took him seriously! Oh Primus please don't let this be a dream! 'Sorry Jazz gonna be a lot later than I thought!'

"Uh y-yeah! Sure! I-I'd love-I mean like to! Um, what's your name by the way?"

A soft smile cracked through the taller mech's cool facade as he began walking off with Orion still held close, "You can call me Dee."

"Oh well I'm Orion! Nice to meet ya Dee!"

“sixty days, and we’ll see each other again here,” the cowboy muses in agreement, trying to sound cheerful and optimistic even as his heart begins to protest — SIXTY days! that’s an eternity! and a lot can happen in sixty days! but he refuses to dwell on it now, focusing on making some wonderful memories that will hopefully make the separation less painful. he puts on his playful demeanor once more, eyes slightly bloodshot and swollen but already lighting up. “lucy gray? lucy gray, where are you?” he pretends not to see her, glancing around and stifling a smile. their height difference will never not amuse him. she’s so petite that he feels like a giant next to her. “oh!” he eventually looks down, beaming because it’s impossible not to. “here you are, little dove! giddy up.” he crouches down as her slender arm coils around his neck, figuring it may be easier for her climb onto his back if he’s not standing straight. once she’s behind him, his calloused hands ready to take hold of her thighs, his own expression drops. just for a moment. life’s so unfair, he thinks to himself. but before he can tear up all over again, she laughing and calling him a sailor. he’s more than happy to play along, as most who never got to be actual children would be. it was fun to play house with her teddy bears and dolls last night and it’s fun to pretend they’re in a fairytale now.

"yes, it will." agreeing firmly as a small smile pulls at her lips when his nose bumping into hers tickles and little dove. like in poems, and through lord's prayer. she'll pray each night he stays safe through these dangerous terrains out by his lonesome, because until he returns, she'll be worried sick. the feeling of tender thumbs on her cheeks causing a warm swirl of butterflies fluttering through out her chest, wishing she could chase the feeling forever. no male's touch had ever been so kind and soft, she wasn't used to it and for that– it felt even more emotional. it nearly puts her in a trance until he stands, eyes peering up at his offered hand.

trusting he won't let her drown, hand places in his bigger one and she rises to her feet. standing at chest height in front of him. just a few steps over to reach the water again and arm gingerly curls around his neck once lucy gray gets behind him. a saddened look she was hiding on her face revealing itself once she's hidden behind him, little does he know– burning with an urge to kiss him too but biting her lip to keep from acting on it. she doesn't want to in fear of losing him, her emotions can't get attached to no one like that. "thanks, sailor. what a kind human you are for givin' a little ole mermaid like me a ride." lucy gray gently laughs, loving how her imagination gets to live in that childlike imaginative state of mind again because of him and willing to play.

Hello, loving you're rewrite of RBTI so far!! If I may ask, what was Turbo up to before he bumped into Ralph and Vanellope? Also, how did he run into those two? That must've been such a 'lovely' reunion, hehehe.

Turbo was up to a.. LOT of stuff

His first go on the internet was quite literally a rabbit chase. BEV detects him as a virus due to the Cybug coding. Like stated previously(?) he can’t control it despite WANTING to.

Did I mention this entire AU is based off of ONE simple Ralph Breaks the Internet concept art spread?

In the back you can see while Ralph is looking for directions on the Darknet, there is a Turbo Torrent sign! So naturally it’s canon to this AU too :] we love a man who hates capitalism and promotes piracy. So in this rewrite he ends up becoming a menace to the Darknet, striking fear into most Netizens who inhabit or do business there. Thankfully they live in somewhat peace since Turbo leaves to do his own thing, but he’s got a decent business going on. Picking up on how to code was VERRRY beneficial to him even now, he has skills some can’t even dream of (while arcade coding is much different he managed to pick it up quick on the internet. Probably manipulated Knowsmore into it too)

This is 90% of what he was doing before Ralph and Vanellope accessed the internet. Their ‘reunion’ goes as follows, roughly via a shitty comic

((I haven’t come up with a plotline other than the wheel to sugar rush breaking. But that is VERY much probably subject to change until I think of something more creative. I don’t like it for multiple reasons, main one being it feels throw away since Sugar Rush in WIR was a two player console but for RBTI it was one player just so they could retcon and do the movie how they did 😒))

But! All that to say FOR NOW Spamely is still sending them on quests for money. Though instead of Shank and Slaughter Race (arguably my LEAST fav part of RBTI) there is now a ‘game hub’ with a multitude of games instead of just… one… game in the middle of the internet?? And there’s a rare upgrade in it people are willing to pay a LOT for!

Gotta give Turbo credit, he knows how to race! Though yeah he swipes it from Vanellope, places first, and garners the attention from Ralph who is probably gonna beat the filling out of him for real this time.

Nyoka Information & Class

(Gonna assume that’s a typo. Meme here.)

Class: Who is your twst OC's classmate(s)? How would you describe their relationship? Did they have different classmates in previous year and did they get along?

Nyoka is a third-year student in Class D. The only other cast member who is in that class is the Malleus Draconia. Their relationship is… classmates. Will interact a bit inside the classroom due to circumstance, but not so much outside of it.

Small talk may be exchanged if Malleus or Nyoka has something to say. Nyoka would never disrespect royalty, so he treats Malleus accordingly. Malleus treats Nyoka with courtesy as well, as he’s expected to.

They will be paired up often because the rest of the class fears Malleus on principle due to his reputation and overall presence, and Nyoka can carry an unapproachable aura too despite his docile behavior. He’s not scared of Malleus per se, just reasonably cautious. He certainly wouldn’t willingly venture to Diasomnia, though. I can imagine Malleus in his weird-fae-way teasing an invite every now and then if Nyoka ever asks a question (like, say about the loud reptile who keeps escorting Malleus to class every day). It’s probably a real offer laced in mild ironic humor, but it’s hard to tell. Besides, a Savanaclaw student waltzing into Diasomnia? Absolutely not.

I’d probably describe the relationship as amicable. Not unpleasant, but neither really go out of their way to hang out. They’re both kinda stiff and dignified, but Malleus has a cheekiness that Nyoka lacks, I think. Malleus can be kind of in his own world, and Nyoka is just going through the motions. Reptile solidarity 🤝 Sort of. Not friends though. It’s not a thought that crosses their systems.

It’s hard to say if Nyoka ever shared a class with anyone else in previous years because I don’t really know how NRC is structured in that regard. It’s possible, but I can’t be sure with certainty. I won’t rule it out, so I’ll put a pin in it. Might’ve crossed paths with Rook though in previous years, for sure.

Inspiration: Is your twst OC inspired by any villains? Concepts? Anything Disney-related?

YES! Primarily inspired by Ushari the Egyptian Cobra, secondary villain in season 2 of “The Lion Guard.” Visually, though, I focused more on the real species and some legends attributed to it.

So artistic liberties were clearly taken. Blud looks more like an Indian cobra. BUT! I will let it slide because red/purple hues are more visually eye catching for a cartoon snake than black (and in some lightning, looks gold), so I can kinda see the thought process there. I didn’t wanna nix that red/purple entirely so I just threw Ushari’s og color scheme and pattern into Nyoka’s eyes and eye makeup. That was my compromise. My little subliminal bell to ring.

I think the closest Disney-ish related concept that I also incorporated in subtext is something I can’t articulate too well.

Maybe it’ll be brought up in some future material.

Eddie spits Steve's name at the window and the passing trees, their leaves blurring into inky smudges. You watch his jaw tick, eyes flashing from the road to the rear-view mirror, but never to you.

His resolve falters with the press of your hand against his on the gearshift.

"Really? ‘Cause I was going to ask if this was about Patrick Swayze?”

The speedometer ticks up for a quick beat, and then drops, and Eddie squirms in his seat.

He steers off to the right, and the van shakes as the tires bump off the smooth pavement to the gravel edge of the road, little twigs snapping off on the trees outside against the fading paint.

"Fuck," Eddie grumbles, quiet, like he's having a conversation with himself. His fingers catch in his curls when he takes the other hand from the steering wheel. It's dark out here, away from the street lights, but you still catch the shine glazing his lower lashes, the way he blinks to keep any tears from pooling there.

"I mean, it's no big deal," you tell him, petting over his knuckles with your thumb, "I just wish you would have said something."

You're not sure what lies were spread to make sure the goofy little pre-teens didn't show up for movie night and try to break down Steve's door. You just knew that—for once—everybody piled on the couch in the living room was of legal age.

It seemed like an exciting prospect when the night started, but everything was pretty much the same: just more beer, and fewer voices shouting about whatever movie you were gonna watch.

Nancy and Robin were a united front when they pulled out Dirty Dancing, and you joined them, mostly to annoy Steve when he pretended he wasn't interested.

Eddie grumbled about the choice, arm slung around your shoulder, but he came around, eventually. Nobody can resist the allure of Johnny Castle.

However many beers you had may have been one too many, though, because as soon as the credits started rolling, Steve had yanked you from Eddie's grasp and onto your feet as Nancy and Robin were cheering jump jump jump and you ran, stumbling into Steve's arms with a surprisingly powerful leap. Then you were floating, high above the living room with a bird's eye view of the crushed beer cans and Hostess wrappers littered over the carpet for one glorious second.

Until you landed in a giggling heap with Steve groaning beneath you, the room shaking with laughter to the point of tears, until Robin threatened to pee her pants.

Now that you've sobered up a little, you recognize that Eddie hadn't been laughing along.

He lets his head fall back against the headrest, eyes big as saucers, pathetic like a little dog who's about to get yelled at for pissing on the couch, and he twists the hand that's resting beneath yours until your fingers intertwine, gives you a squeeze—a move you recognize as an apology before he's got the words for what he's feeling.

"You know I'm not interested in Steve, right?" you ask, squeezing back.

Eddie nods, but his eyes tell a different story. He carries this thing with him—a kind of self-conscious bewilderment each time you reach for him in a crowd, press your lips to his, call him your boyfriend when there are people around to hear it.

It's kind of funny how much it doesn't make sense to you, how you assumed that, deep down, Eddie knew that you loved him, but also how badly you wanted him. That it wasn't some kind of fluke or coincidence or apathy that kept you here.

Eddie's breath catches in his chest, like he's trying not to cry, and you know you were wrong. You're not doing nearly good enough a job at making Eddie feel half as loved as he is.

You slip your hand from his, resting it just above his knee—an innocent start for your more illicit plans—scooting in your chair until you're almost nose to nose, lower your voice into a whisper.

"I'm serious, honey. You've got nothing to worry about."

Your plan is working already. Eddie swallows hard enough you can see his adam's apple jump in his throat, and his gaze keeps flickering from your eyes to the hand you've got on his thigh, climbing higher with each soothing stroke.

"Yeah, I-I know, baby, it's just—" his breath hitches, but he's fighting to get the words out, wet lips parting with a heavy breath as your fingers travel higher, thumb in the crease between his thigh and his crotch, "it's Steve Harrington."
