dragon age update: I'm playing a qunari shadow dragon rogue because of course I am playing a rogue, it's a dragon age game, I always do a first playthrough as a rogue, need to explore the double dagger jump

I got through the first few hours, the gameplay hasn't really clicked yet (it is extremely heavy on the action-style gameplay and it's not a format that I'm used to) but so far I like what I'm seeing? it doesn't quite feel so much like coming home, as much as moving back to your hometown and into a new apartment down the street. the town's gotten cleaned up a bit, new paint in some places and entirely new buildings in others. there aren't many of the old folks left, but these new people seem nice enough. it is kinda weird that no one is commenting on your horns or assumptions about your religious practices, or your friend's ears or that quiet dalish's tattoos. there used to be a lot more commentary about your horns. you haven't decided if you miss it yet.

that asshole who lived in the creaky house is still there, still yelling at the clouds about the elven gods, and he might have broken the municipal pipelines, but that's part of the charm. you think. you really hope.

but harding is here and I love harding, so we're already in the right direction
