just binged the majority of the idw storylines for sonic the hedgehog

#sonic the hedgehog#sonic idw#sonic comics#guys i can't describe how these comics fulfilled every wish of mine for one of my oldest fandoms#it is AGGRESSIVELY feminist in ways unseen by the entirety of the sonic franchise#every single female character is unique and a refreshing breath each time the cast is rotated#on top of the idw exclusives being a heavy skew of female heroes and male villains#obvious exception for surge but she's already making the switch good for her#on top of that i don't even need to explain the metal virus saga to anyone who knows#moral dilemmas? body horror? pseudo death and trauma? the best use of the super forms ever?#im afraid its peak#also everybody getting the panels to shine in such fun ways#except shadow and rouge they need just a lil more to satisfy me#but omega's fine i actually love everything he's gotten so far#i will be keeping up with the issues and catching up on the minis and annuals i missed#any sonic fan should read these not only are they really fun in writing the art is immaculate#archie i know you have scourge and echidna lore but your artstyle is atrocious#may return to my artistic roots and draw sonic again#goodnight tri state area
