To everyone in the tags, let me introduce the Annie awards.
Maybe more than one award for the whole medium would be nice
#they’re fun!#as an animation nerd they’re kinda my oscars#the best part is they’ve got two sets of best pictures#one called best feature for big studio stuff like disney and dreamworks#and one called best indie feature where the foreign films tend to fall#and it’s great because nomenclature aside we’re pretty much getting double the nominees and winners!#AND it helps to spotlight smaller studio stuff that might not have the pull that flashier studios with big money have#it introduced me to a movie called wrinkles for example that broke ny heart i loved it#love ya annies never stop annieing
