I'm just gonna say it again real quick:
Yes!! Iron Man is a tragedy! It has and always has been since the very first appearance in 1963 which describes itself, Tony's life, and legacy, as such.
Tony causes most of his issues himself, he is his biggest villain, a majority of his rogues gallery are caricatures of the worst versions of himself brought to life (when they're not just being racist cuz...60s...). The worst thing about being Tony Stark is that he can't stop being Tony Stark (he tried!!) That is the point.
The majority of pain Tony goes through, is pain he inflicts on himself, whether intentionally or inadvertently. That is the point.
He is not A villain (at least. Not usually. There are...some rough moments and arcs that are. Not great. As there is with any character as old as he is). But he is his own main antagonist.

My Opinions:
They could be sprinkling all these Single SSRs all over the place and totally catch us up on reruns. In fact it would make way more sense as it would force new players or people who didn't finish into a bind of spending or skipping. I just literally don't understand from a business standpoint why they'd just NOT rerun them. This ain't even a 2 reruns waiting for the special return pavilion situation. They haven't even gotten that far. Anyway it's frustrating me because I'm missing pieces from 5/8 of the singles from that year and I want to finish them 🙃 I'm so close on most of them.

Doctor Elise Qi Rong AU
in which shortly after dying in canon (i know that since his ashes weren’t destroyed that he’s probably still alive but please bear with me), qi rong finds himself reincarnated in the modern world and decides that in this life he's going to become someone that guzi would proudly call his father (nevermind the fact that the kid loves him just the way he is), and decides that in order for that to happen, he’s going to become a doctor and save lives and he ends up becoming a super accomplished surgeon with an extremely high success rate.
unfortunately while on his way home from a hospital shift, he ends up getting hit by a truck (you know i had to include truck-kun in this au!) and when he wakes up, he’s in his bedroom back when he was still prince xiao jing of xianle.
the good news is that he can be reunited with guzi again, the bad news is that he’s going to have to wait 800 years before the reunion can happen.
so because he can't really do anything but wait, qi rong decides that he's going to continue his work as a doctor and he ends up accidentally single-handedly revolutionizing ancient china's world of medicine along the way.

i deserve to kill insurance companies actually.
#i've been fucking around with this for two weeks now and i want to die#why is it legal for an insurance provider i am paying to decline a medication that i've been on for years#why does a doctor have to fill out a special form to prove that i Really Need this medication. that's just what a prescription is for.#and also why is my doctor's office closed half the week and i can't get ahold of them and they don't call me back#i'm already rationing my meds like this is not sustainable#the real bullshit is that from what i can tell my provider won't even let me pay for it out of pocket. which i don't want to do but. still.#(it's a maintenance inhaler. i still have plenty of my rescue inhaler left so i'm not like. gonna die without it. but i will be very#uncomfortable and pissed off about it.)#part of this is my own fault because i knew switching insurance would cause some Bullshit when i try to get my meds refilled#so i should have started this earlier#but TWO WEEKS SHOULD BE ENOUGH#i just want to find out what i can do bc every day i call and they go “huh that's weird that it hasn't been approved yet. i'll look into it#and then they don't call me back#well uh. with med rationing i have enough to get me to Tuesday so i fucking hope someone actually figures out what's going on today#vent#personal

i like lando norris - i actually, genuinely do - but it makes me hopping mad that he is now in the conversation to be a world champion

Also also there's something so sweet and intimate in the fact that Su Su keeps calling him Tantai Jin despite being the one who told him to forget the past and move on -- and you can see his face when she does, his little smile, how his eyes brighten (how his breath caught the first time she did it, in her room, back when they were still toeing the line between truth and pretend) because yes, she hasn't forgotten him!! she still uses the same way and intonation as the past, back when she was calling her husband, and how can he not delight in that?? how many times do you think he has dreamt of her voice saying his name in all kind of manners in the last 500 years, when he was letting himself go through the most horrific torture simply because there was the vaguest hope of her being returned to him----
And so of course he smiles and doesn't correct her, he's always going to be her Tantai Jin just as she's always going to be his Ye Xi Wu, and you can just see that he finally found peace and comfort in that simple truth.

just finished interviewing bellini for one of my finals in my comedy class and i'm losing my mind over bellini going on a tangent about how if he were grading my comedy over the past year he would give me an A+. like i didn't ask him to say that and it wasn't related to any of the questions i asked but you better believe i'm leaving that in to be like see professor? BELLINI gave me an A+!!!
#it was very sweet lmao and a great conversation over all#last time i was in town i told bellini a one-liner i came up with about the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym having the exact qualifications#for a strong password (8 letters a number and a special character) and he said he's repeated it to several people#and it's always gotten a big laugh!! which is so cool!!! i'm not typically a ''joke'' writer my stuff is usually character-driven#so that's awesome that both bellini AND scott really loved that line!!#bellini in particular has been such a fan of my comedy since we first met (across multiple eras now)#like we met while i was working on my musical ''other girls'' and he was so excited to hear about it when i first mentioned it#and had me send him the recording as soon as i got it#and he's been so helpful in developing aubrey as a solo sketch character too#it's so cool having a professional comedian (especially one with such a meticulously good ear for comedy like bellini)#be as excited about my work as i am and be able to help me refine it into something even better#and especially as a queer comedian today who's finding it difficult to navigate this landscape of being ''bad representation''#bellini having been an openly gay comedy writer for almost double my lifetime is such a great resource to have!!#of course a lot of this is true for scott too (tho scott hasn't actually *seen* any of my comedy yet. he's just heard me tell jokes from it#but bellini is such a special mentor for me and i'm so happy we randomly connected over mouth congress over a year ago

Especially today that T/witter and G/oogle have basically become unusable.#Literally. Literally. I've been doing official content archiving since I was 11#(because that's the very specific kind of mental illness I have)#and let me tell you that the quality of web search and especially reverse image search only got worse–#in a way that is very evident and noticeable. Which is crazy tbh and not how things should work.#If anyone would like to start a bsd-central kind of blog I'll be the first one to follow.#Actually if anyone actually wants to establish it feel free to contact me and I'll be more than happy to share the resources I have!!!!#It just needs to be something multi-modded for a series of reasons I won't get into right now#I just can't personally do it (not as main admin at least) because that would be modding my FIFTH active bsd blog–#and that's a little too much even for me.#On top of some ethical concerns I have regarding whether it'd be fair for me to mod a fandom central bsd blog–#when I feel like I can't genuinely share the same amount of love for the franchise other fans share#On top of. You're fine! thank you for asking, sorry I've been slow as usual with updates, I still think about Mine every day but right now I'm struggling to balance my college work and my personal life. It's my first semester and I'm a little slow at getting into the hang of it. I also just recently got a significant other so I'm also trying to give them my time as well. That said I haven't had much time to draw so when I do I feel like I've lost a lot of skill. I want to get to a point where I feel both comfortable and confident to finish the refs, but I still would like to get out colored mini sketches of the rest of the cast. That said asks will also be completed slowly, I'm so upset, I got a valentines day ask and i wanted to finish it in time but I got busy with college work :( I also wanted to celebrate White day this year but it most likely wont happen on time. Other then that I've been well, thank you for asking. I hope you and everyone else has been feeling well and taking care of their physical and mental health!

There's only 3 weeks left till art fight begins and that Demauria reference redesign/redux is still in its extremely early stages
#only got the digital sketch down- still needs to be adjusted/fixed- and the new outfit hasn't been started on design yet either#it irritates me cause I WAS GONNA WORK ON IT BACK IN MAY BUT THEN *gestures to all the bs this entire spring and now summer is throwing*#I'm trying to be kind to myself cause with what's gone on it can't be helped but it doesn't make it any less maddening#while I WANT to participate in art fight this year idk if I'll even be able to do a single art attack in all of July with all the bs#vent#whining
