#your honor....... i spot a contradiction.....#'phoenix as the protag' 'build on from ajaa' 'dont concern yourself with past chronology' yeah this was a recipe for disaster#it goes along w the narrative i heard at least; that ajaa was wildly unpopular in japan#unpopular enough for them to not want apollo as a protag... but they couldnt just throw the whole game away#like truly... aa feels like a franchise that ruined itself by doing the number one mistake a franchise can do: listening to its fans#LOL#like dont get me wrong its not a completely bad thing to listen to and learn from feedback#but there needs to be a balance.... whenever u take a risk that wildly changes the direction of a franchise#there will always be backlash#but u cant let this backlash actually obscure the quality of the risk that u took#if u keep pandering to fans.. if u dont take artistic risks.. thats how u reach creative death#SOMETHINGGG like that omg im so exhausted
