My favorite part about the Boy and the Heron was how beautifully the animation displayed human movement. Every action made by a character had such a visceral impact on the world around it, and all the characters moved in ways that felt natural and fluid considering their skillsets.

#the way kiriko moved on her boat was so beautiful and professional #it reminded me of how my coworkers and I move on our boats #and I sort of fell in love with her a little bit 😅#it felt like all the animators really studied so hard to capture each specific skill and profession
