broo they should've just made it a six of crows show why did they take away the joy of recommending the adaptation of one of my favourite books cause i have to clarify that half of the plot ISN'T about them and is just sort of. boring. i'm so sorry alina and mal i like you but you're going up against the crows that's a TOUGH competition and you started out losing

#so much of what's special for me about six of crows is that it's about a group of 'nobodies' in a universe where-#-usually you'd expect the stakes to be 'save the world' type. but it's not they're just trying to steal some shit and live their lives #and with shadow and bone they have to intertwine them with the bigger plot so they end up involved in those stakes anyway #like there can be a bigger plot that goes beyond them that's good more as a background thing that i don't have to care about #because i know the characters i DO care about don't care about it either. am i making sense #it's even more pronounced this season because there is so much more of the crows than in season 1 from what i remember #like idk they're trying to make one show with different groups of characters and i think this season it's evident that they're not matching #it feels more disjointed than season 1. i just want a six of crows spin off!!!!#u can tell this book was really important to me i didn't realize i had this much to say lmao
