I keep seeing this one same tweet get dragged thru the mud on twt that's basically like "the left pushing the "kill all men/all men are evil" narrative has done more damage than not because it helps push younger men down the alt-right/misogynistic pipeline" and like

On one hand, of course I get it. Of course women/marginalized people/etc are going to Not want to coddle people from the same demographic that abuses them. It SHOULDNT be left up to largely women to teach men that "sexism is bad actually" and we SHOULD live in a world where "the good men" are capable of realizing that "kill all men" doesn't apply to them, and said good men are ready willing and able to call out their peers on evil behavior.

But also like. The original tweet is right!!! I really think it is!! I truly do not think that any long term good will come out of pushing "all men bad if ur not a woman ur evil!!!! Kill men!!!!" Because like. Kids are stupid!!! Kids are emotional and fragile and incapable sometimes of looking at statements like "I hate all men they should choke" and going "ok I know this isn't about me personally, it's really about how society continues to punish people who aren't cis white men" etc etc like no this lonely angsty teen boy whos feeling sorry for himself is going to see random internet user 59 post "men should die. All of them" and then internalize that, resentment is going to build, and then that's how actually genuinely evil fuckheads like Andrew Tate or Ben Shapiro or whoever the right coughs up next worm their way into these young kids brains and get them convinced that yeah actually minorities/women ARE the enemy. They want us to DIE. aren't they fucked up?

Like fuck man I WATCHED my sibling fall down that pipeline pretty far. He's always struggled with self esteem and depression and the like and he fell for the shit that alt right YouTubers push and for a LONG time he was spewing the same bullshit like "feminists bad pronouns stupid woke is ruining star wars" and I can guarantee it all started with these content creators preying on his very real loneliness and emotional pain!

And it's just like. What do you do then. What do we do. Neither """side""" wants to budge and I really do understand why because FUCK man why should it be up to women to teach men something that should be an innately human trait! We shouldn't have to spell out "actually boys, abusing and raping women is bad actually :)" bc Jesus Christ but also to ignore the very real fact that a non zero number of these younger boys who subscribe to alt right views simply because they've been told over and over essentially that "there's no point in doing otherwise because you're a man, therefore you just ARE evil" is kind of foolish to me.
