tbh i am still not over the discovery that retirement pension isn't rly a thing in the states. like....... how the fuck is this even legal lol
#4.txt#it boggles and perplexes me how much my backwater middle of nowhere eastern european country is better than murica#pension is a given for anyone legally employed#you have to jump through some real fucking hoops to NOT have health insurance#our servers don't rely on tips bc they have flat rates#all cities are walkable#decent public transit#education is free which includes higher education#our cashiers are expected to sit down during work#prescription meds are not advertised anywhere bc it's just straight up illegal#our price tags MEAN what they say meaning u don't have to guess how much this box of cereal is rly gonna cost#unions are generally normal#and im sure a ton of other things that come from EU regulations as well#i can't stress how many hoops you'd have to jump through to not have health insurance enough#are u a child? insured. are you registered as unemployed? insured. are you a university student? insured. are you legally employed? insured#yeah sure not all forms of employment come with insurance but even then......... insurance isn't THAT expensive
