More Lee caring for Hermes kids after Luke left.

Lee helping the Stolls settle into their role. Either they were the oldest actually claimed Hermes kids or the only ones that would step up, either way at 12-13 they're not prepared to take over the biggest cabin who's previous head counselor was 7-8 years older.

So Lee helps them get settled. They're the one who gets them use to meetings and organizing duties. Hermes cabin starts teaming more with the Apollo cabin during capture the flags. Lee helps keep an eye on both their cabins best they can.

He's attentive to Chris too, trying his best to make sure he isn't ignored/lost in the chaos. Lee's the one who catches him leaving camp, and why he's disappointed and upset, he isn't surprised. He knows how close Chris was to Luke.

When Lee finds out about Chris after he's out of the Labyrinth, he's furious. Especially right before battle. When Chris was practically on his death bed just letting himself wither. Unresponsive.

Lee stayed up day and night trying to get Chris to drink or eat something. Michael would've stayed up with him if Lee hadn't ordered him not to.

One of Lee's final moments before the Battle was trying one more time to get Chris to drink water, looking at him and remembering clearly the day he came to camp. The time he tried to shoot a bow. The times he managed to cool down Clarisse when even Luke couldn't do so. The time him and Travis had rushed into the infirmary after just managing to catch a collapsed Percy after the scorpion attack.

Just anger and guilt of seeing Chris like that. Before going into battle and never getting to see him better again.

Chris waking up after being cured, taking a moment to process and realize where he was, only to learn Lee was gone. That he never got to consciously see him again. Never got to apologize.

The Stolls being absolutely upset, though they don't say it. They're more snippy and pull more pranks. The only ones they're really chill with and listen to is Michael, Will and Chris.

Also, if Chris gets claimed before Lee dies,I imagine Lee's beyond upset. Chris spent years trying to be recognized by someone, to be noticed. And Hermes has the gall to wait until he's a shell of himself?

The Stolls, either way, would be furious as well once Chris is claimed. It doesn't change their relationship, they already saw Chris like a brother anyway, but Hermes claiming Chris then. After all that? It felt like a slap in the face.

I definitely think they be close to Chris, getting defensive if anyone questions or berates him for his history in the Titan Army. Pulling him into games and cabin activities. Doing everything to make sure Chris felt like he still belonged.

With Lee gone, there isn't as many people to defend then when people treat them like they'll turn on camp at any moment. When rumors of a spy his, everyone's eyes turn to the Hermes cabin, especially to Chris. Katie's line in tlo isn't a rare thing to hear.

When Silena is exposed,all it does is leave a bitter taste in the Stolls mouth. Chris immediately blames himself for not noticing sooner and trying to get her out of it. But Stolls feel betrayed. Especially as people label her a hero. Where was that sympathy for Chris?

Anyway dysg this turn into a big Hermes cabin ramble but I can't help it.

Chris and Stolls grieving over Lee together has my thoughts.

"Wha-... what the fuck are you talking about Luke ?" From the edge of his bunk bed, your boyfriend avoids your stare, looking anywhere but at your face. "Look at me ! You can't just drop this upon me and act like nothing is happening !" He can hear the hurt and the confusion in your voice and decides to get closer to you. He wants to hold you tight and never let you go but settles for holding your hand.

"Babe, listen to me. please." He’s the one to look at you with pleading eyes this time, one hand circling yours and the other resting on the nape of your neck. "You know how much I hate Olympus and how they toy with us just for their own benefit. I know you feel the same way, watching kids barely getting here safely only to never be claimed or only when their parent deems it convenient ! Do you think it's fair ? To be used as a puppet so you can finally be worthy in the eyes of mom or dad ? Risking your life to fix their shortcomings ?"

His emphasis on dad doesn't intrigue you, you already know. Everyone knows. His eyes are full of resentment and his scar seems so red, a stark contrast with the unmarred skin. Luke goes on and on about his supposedly great plan and you can only watch in horror as the boy in front of you looks nothing like the one you fell in love summers ago.

Hand reaching for the one still laid on your nape, you look up, brows furrowed. "Does Annabeth know ?"

These three words are enough to make him flinch. He opens and closes his mouth and that tells you everything you need to know. Your face twists with disgust and anger as you shove his shoulder enough for him to stumble back, away from you.

"Fuck off Luke !" you spit, tears cornering at your lash line. "How dare you turn your back on your little sister, on me ?" Your voice cracks but you try to put up a brave front, wiping the corner of your eyes. You can only stare at him in disbelief, even though your hands itch to bring him closer to you, to hold him and to at least try to understand his sudden change of heart.

Luke attempts to step forward but you pull back and he can hear his own heart breaking. He runs a hand over his face before answering you with a shaky sigh: "Look, I’m doing this for everyone at camp, for us ! I want us to live free of that burden. We deserve so much more than what the gods have to give !" His voice falters and he clears his throat. "I don't want to wake up one morning and find out you're gone because of them, because you went on a stupid quest for the sake of your parent who can't even bother to acknowledge you !" He looks at you fondly and sighs. "Do you remember the time I came back from the quest Hermes sent me on ? You were so scared something had happened to me. I can't let that happen again. I can't let that happen to you. I want to protect you, to protect us ! You- you're all I have."

Tears fall freely as you shake your head, hugging yourself in an attempt to calm down. "There’s got to be another way, you can’t… You can’t do this Luke ! I-" you sob.

And you feel so afraid yet you don’t know whether you’re more scared of Luke himself or of the thought of losing him to something this insane. The cogs in your brain turn and turn but you can't bring yourself to drive him out of your life, not when you've seen him at his best and at his worst, when you've been by his side for so long you can't even remember.

In a few steps, Luke is engulfing you in a hug and all resolve you had to push him away crumbles within seconds. He rests his chin on the crown of your head while you cling to his shirt. He holds you tight, as if the mere thought of you walking out of his cabin would become true and you might vanish with the wind.

"Hey hey, it’s okay, we’ll… we’ll figure it out, we still have time." he whispers in your ear and you want to believe him, you really do.

Slightly pulling back, he rests his forehead against yours, hands coming up to cup your face. With a sad smile, Luke's thumbs wipe your tearstained cheeks.

"There, don't cry," he tells you softly, "my pretty, pretty girl. You know I'll never let you go right ? I love you too much to be able to live without you."

His smile is genuine as his hand cautiously takes your own to place it on his chest, right where you can feel his heartbeat. "You’re here, always and forever, no matter what."

Luke's world had crumbled a long time ago, ever since he realized the gods were monsters in disguise. But now that he has you in his life, whatever's left of that sparkle of hope he had when he was fourteen (and when the world seemed so big yet so full of chances) shines brighter. You were the one who rebuilt everything from scratch, who fixed the gaping hole in his heart.

Your free hand comes up to brush his cheek, thumb trailing his scar. You wish you could close your eyes and pretend that the world isn't on the brink of disaster, that your Luke isn't about to change its course.

The love of your life starts again: "I'll be with you at any cost, believe me. And if anyone, so much as the gods or that new forbidden kid attempt to separate us, I'll walk- heck I'll drag myself back to you !"

His promise is sealed with a kiss and you're certain you'd follow him in a heartbeat: "for better or worse ?" you ask in a small voice, lips hovering over his.

He answers you with a smile and shiny eyes: "for better or worse."

Ever since the whole Luke betrayal, Travis puts a lot of pressure on himself to be a good role model 

For his brother, for the other Hermes kids, and for the title of child of Hermes in general 

It's gotten better over the years, but he really can't handle feeling like he set a bad example

Sometimes he just needs kisses and cuddles and reassurance

Monsters will always reform because they don’t have souls

The bathrooms are cinder block buildings with a line of toilets and a line of showers; there’s a girls and a boys

Percy feels a tug in the pit of his stomach when he uses his powers

Annabeth just watched Clarisse drag Percy into the bathroom to give him a swirly 

Luke steals Percy some toiletries from the camp store. 

Percy is not good at archery, foot racing, or wrestling

The only thing that Percy is good at is canoeing 

Percy can’t find a blade that fits right in his hand. 

Luke has been the best swordsman in 300 years

Percy bests him after pouring ice water on his head (son of Poseidon) 

Hades doesn’t have a cabin at Camp Half-Blood or a throne on Olympus. They say that it would be bad if there was a cabin for Hades. 

Sixty years ago, after World War 2, the big three gods made an oath not to have more kids.

Two of them broke it; Zeus with Jason and Thalia, Poseidon with Percy.

When Hades found out, he let out all three Kindly Ones and a pack of Hellhounds

Thalia wound up becoming a tree. 

Grover was the satyr assigned to bring only Thalia in. Thalia had befriended Annabeth and Luke, and she wouldn’t leave them behind. 

Percy thinks that Luke’s scar makes him look almost evil

Clarisse has an electric spear

It makes Percy go numb wherever she touches him with it

One of the boys in Cabin 5 (Ares) cuts Percy across the arm

Once Percy gets into the water, he’s very good at fighting

Luke wins capture the flag

Annabeth has a Yankee's cap that makes her invisible. It was a gift from her mother. 

Annabeth is the first person to figure out that Poseidon is Percy’s father.

No wait, Grover was first and then Chiron. Well, they knew he was one of the Big Three’s son.

As soon as Percy steps out of the water, he is exhausted and in pain.

When Hellhounds die, they melt into shadow and soak into the ground.

Hellhounds are from the fields of punishment.

When Poseidon claims Percy, everyone kneels.

“Poseidon, Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Hail, Perseus Jackson, Son of the Sea God.”

Percy is miserable being alone in Cabin Three and being so isolated. He would rather get into fights every day than be ignored. People are steering clear of Percy. 

Except for Luke, who gives Percy one-on-one sword training. 

Annabeth teaches Percy Greek but she’s distracted.

Gabe tells the press that Percy is violent and a troubled kid. The newspapers say that Percy may be involved in his mother’s disappearance. 

Gabe also tells the press that Percy has expressed violent tendencies in the past.

Percy has more dreams of Zeus and Poseidon fighting. He hears Kronos’ voice calling to him. 

It doesn’t rain in Camp Half-Blood (or even get overcast) unless they want it to. 

Dionysus wants to kill Percy. 

Percy gets embarrassed when he knows something someone doesn’t want or expect him to. 

Percy has a nervous laugh. 

Illegal copies can be made of the Gods Symbols of Power.

Percy has tried to steal pizza from Gabe’s poker parties and got busted for it.

Percy is furious that the camp is being punished for his existence. He thinks he’s responsible for the gods' fight. 

The Big House attic is four flights up. It’s full of mementos from old demigod fights. 

Percy is scared of the oracle. 

Percy’s fists clench at the very sight of Gabe. 

Percy doesn’t have many friends. 

Percy isn’t afraid of Hades; he wants to get revenge and take Hades on. 

Gods can’t encroach on each other’s territories but demigods can. Gods can’t be held responsible for heroes actions. 

Percy describes his emotions as rolling glass in a kaleidoscope. 

Percy is so relieved that Grover is coming with him that he wants to cry. 

Annabeth volunteered to go on the Quest. Percy is not surprised. 

Previously, Luke told Percy that Annabeth has been harassing Chiron for a prophecy and that she’s been hanging onto all of the new campers until she’s sure they aren’t the chosen one. 

Annabeth says that Percy will mess up this quest without her even though he’s been more than adequate at handling everything that’s been thrown his way. 

The camp store loans Percy $100.00 and 20 golden drachmas. 

He’s also given a canteen of nectar and a ziplock bag full of ambrosia squares.

The ambrosia and nectar is only to be used in emergencies; it will kill a mortal and demigods will literally burn up if they overdose. 

Annabeth’s cap was given to her on her twelfth birthday by her mom, Athena. 

Luke actually runs up the hill to give them the basketball shoes. They’re the flying shoes he got from his dad for his quest when he was seventeen. 

Luke gives the shoes directly to Percy. 

Percy is worried that Luke would have been jealous of the attention he’s been getting.

Percy blushes because Luke gave him the magic gift. 

Luke seems uncomfortable talking to Percy. He trails off three times and uses “um.” And then there’s an [awkward] handshake. 

Luke pats Grover between the horns and gives Annabeth a hug.

Annabeth’s crush on Luke has been brought up three times so far. 

Percy figures out by this one interaction that Annabeth let Luke capture the flag instead of her. 

Percy thinks that he’s a brat for wanting a magical gift from his father. 

Riptide (Anaklusmos) is a gift from Poseidon that Chiron has been holding onto for the next child of Poseidon. 

Riptide is forged by the Cyclopes, tempered in the heart of Mount Etna, and cooled in the River Lethe. 

Mortals aren’t important enough for the blade to kill but it will kill demigods and anything from the Underworld. 

Percy thinks that the real world feels like a fantasy after spending two weeks at Half-Blood Hill. 

Percy thinks that Annabeth hates him. 

Annabeth thinks they have to be rivals because their parents are. 

Annabeth was also mean to him before she knew who his dad was.

Even after two weeks away from Gabe, Grover can still smell him on Percy.

This makes Percy immediately want a shower.

Grover says that Percy should be thankful Sally was with someone who smelled so repulsively human because it kept the monsters away and that Sally must have loved Percy a lot to put up with that guy.

This does not make Percy feel better but he hides his feelings; or hopes he does since satyrs can sense emotions with or without an empathy link. 

Percy is on the quest because he wants to save his mom.

He is not on the quest to retrieve Zeus’s lightning bolt

Or to save the world 

Or to help his dad out of trouble. Percy is actually really, really angry with Poseidon for never visiting or helping Sally. 

Annabeth and Percy are good at playing hacky sack. 

The three Furies are considered the worst monsters in the Underworld. 

Percy had a chance to escape on the bus and didn’t take it. 

Alecto threatens to kill Percy (again)

Percy can speak Latin

Percy knows that the Greek Gods (Zeus and Hades in particular) are being assholes to him. 

The food at Camp Half-Blood is grapes, bread, cheese, and extra-lean-cut nymph-prepared barbecue. 

“Your head is full of kelp.”

In Aunty Em’s emporium, Percy says that the smell of her cooking makes everything else go away, however he still has the sense of mind to notice Grover whimpering, the statues’ eyes following them, and Auntie Em locking the door. 

Percy’s neck tingles when he’s in danger. 

Percy is annoyed that Annabeth is being rude to a woman who just fed them for free.

Being Blessed vs. Being Claimed

So before I go off in this headcanon I want to make it clear that being blessed is very different from being claimed, and also not a commonality. Especially since part of deals with a demigod as a baby and their godly parent.

So Luke was claimed when he first came to camp. He barely got past the barrier and it happened. He didn’t notice it, his mind was quite obviously on other things. He honestly didn’t care. He knew who his godly parent was, and the fact that Chiron can confirm it just proves that he didn’t need to be claimed, not really. Hermes had in a sense already done it when he brought Luke to camp as a baby. Doing it when he came back was more of a ritual.

So now lets move onto the blessing. First a blessing from a godly parent often coincides with being a favorite, this is not always the case. In the case of Luke, it is. Sorry sons and daugthers of Hermes Luke is his favorite, not that Luke believes him one fucking bit.

Alright the blessing. It doesn’t take much, but it must happen when a demigod is a baby, and the demigod must be held by their godly parent, and the blessing must be whispered to them. I imagine each god has a different blessing to deal with their strengths and such. The blessing is then sealed with a kiss on the top of the head of the baby.

Luke receives his blessing during the time his mother is trying to take on the oracle. Now I will say this, Luke does not know he has Hermes’ blessing. Chiron does not know concretely and has always had his suspicions. Dionysus knows, but no one asks him.

What tends to happen to a demigod that is blessed by their godly parent in this way, because I am sure other types of blessings exist, but this is like the big deal one, well they become very powerful in their own right. Part of the reason so many monsters were following Thalia, Annabeth, and Luke were because of both Thalia AND Luke, you heard me. Thalia being a child of the big three, and Luke having Hermes’ blessing attracts the monsters. Its why Luke was followed by monsters long before he met Thalia.

The reason Chiron suspects that Luke received Hermes’ blessing is very simple Luke exudes all the qualities and gifts that Hermes has. Luke is more or less a mini Hermes, with just a bit more spite because of how his father treated him, but its fine. Take out that spite, and you get Hermes in miniature form. He’s not a god and does not have full godlike abilities. But it does explain why Luke has some rarer abilities like teleportation. It also explains why Luke is a natural athlete, and more or less is like a de-powered Hermes.

This blessing actually causes issues for Kronos when it comes to taking Luke’s body. But what Kronos did to convince Luke is an entirely different headcanon, just know it causes issues.

There are other circumstances where the blessing comes into play. But I rather not get into those now especially since it entirely depends on verses such as whether Luke lives or he doesn’t. So yeah.

Coffee Shop Dalliance

Everyone who worked at and frequented J&L Coffee knew two things for sure. The first was that Simon under no circumstances should be allowed anywhere near the expensive coffee machines unless they wanted to destroy the coffee shop. The second was that the beautiful glittery man that sat in the front corner of the shop every day sketching and the dark-haired boy who sat in the back corner reading (and happened to be Isabelle the barista’s brother) were made for each other.

Also known as: the one where Magnus and Alec have been pining over each other across a crowded coffee shop for eight months and Isabelle is tired of it.

Instead of the easy victory, though, the greedy king found defeat and death, for the four kingdoms united for the first time in history, forging the Downworlder Alliance. As a result, the great families of the north were forced to deliver their firstborns to the Kings and Queens of the Downworlder Alliance, and so ensure their fielty and crush any further rebellions before they even sparkled.

Only, boring history lessons had always annoyed the Prince of Darkness and heir to the Kingdom of Edom, Magnus Bane. As the anniversary of his Mark Day arrives and with it the Victory Tournament, he figures the only good thing the Mortal War really brought was his father’s hostage, the quiet Alec Lightwood, eldest son to the once great Lightwoods of Alicante.

Good could become great, though. Magnus needs only figure out a way to get that boy away from the practicing arena and into his bed.

After all, he couldn’t possibly celebrate his day of honor without a suitable gift, could he?
