#;musing#musing#/i saw that title on a random clip and i was like; that's g.il-#/such a concise way to describe one of g.ilamesh' core beliefs#there is nothing more attractive and worthy to him than a person / a kingdom that has a purpose#it applies for both a.rcher and c.aster ; though i think we've seen it more 'coldly' through archer#to archer humans that have no purpose in their life are worth as much as the dead#it's completely pointless to him; to him its like 'why do you live then?'#for both versions it represents humanity pushing forward for growth & the significance of exitence#as even insects have a purpose;#so he finds it fundamentally basic; its like; you were given conscience over yourself and you don't even realize it? he thinks its laughabl#and this purpose would be in the case of his kingdom to serve him first as their king#that would be the foremost purpose of a citizen to him; but-#its not only that; thats the basics ! his argument strives for the growth of the soul; no matter the purpose; there has to be one#that's true beauty to him; and as a king if he can't inspire that belief on his people; then what is he doing?#its why in the singularity; u.ruk was the last standing city; humanity's last defense#because even if all the citizens knew the beasts were stronger; their sense of purpose was bigger#the city did not surrender; not on the most bitter of ends; and he takes incredible pride in that#;ooc#ooc#;headcanons#headcanons
