sometimes i'm like hmmm it's shitty luck that I have both EDS & OCD but then other times i really don't think it's coincidental at all
#theres not much research to say for sure#but i read a great article recently suggesting people with EDS may be more predisposed to OCD#it wasn't an insignificant link either#it was like people with hEDS are 5 times more likely to have OCD than the average person or something#im no expert but drawing off of my experiences it adds up#OCD is kind of fascinating in the sense that it's a mental illness but it's also highly physiological & can be triggered by viruses#so it makes sense to me that a full-body disorder like EDS could have some link to it.#it also makes me feel better to believe i didn't draw two horrendous health cards by a twist of random fate lol
