my favourite part about having been married to ge*ff is that he tried SO hard to catch me cheating (i wasn’t lol). Right down to him insisting we share a fb account so (I later realized) he could monitor my activity there. Even here!!! He secretly read my tumblr posts lol. It’s my favourite bc I literally wasn’t doing anything nefarious and he just would not let it go.
#he looked for any reason to exit that marriage and not be the bad guy lol#what a mess I’m glad I’m not like that anymore#like explained to his friend in detail how he’d kill me lol#anyway hahahaha like lots of therapy has made me realize that *those aren’t the worst things I’ve experienced* lol#it all felt normal and acceptable and woah that really bums me out#thanks for letting me process shit here#it helps me#oh and he eventually just had to be the bad guy

Sunrise, Sunset
switching it up with a franklin and lamar centered fic (not exactly as a ship buuut more or less some one sided feelings?) jus a silly little idea i had that was originally gonna be a one shot sorta thing or whatever,, changed my mind tho n i’m jus gonna split it up, this is part one !!
i feel like lamar would be very oblivious about his feelings towards frank tbh LMFAOOO
//
Lamar and Franklin sometimes drove out to the highest point in Los Santos to watch the sunrise. Well, more Lamar than Franklin, seeing as Franklin preferred to sleep in. He often dragged him out of bed to go take Chop out and see the sun peak up from the horizon, lighting the city up with natural reds and yellows.
“C’mon you lazy fuck, we gon’ miss it!”
“Lamar, the sun rises every fuckin’ day! Trust me, it’ll be there tomorrow.”
“You jus’ a lazy bum who don’t wanna get his lazy bum ass outta bed. Man get up already!”
Chop barked, and Lamar nodded to him.
“Yeah, you right Chop. This muhfucker don’t wanna budge, huh? Don’t even wanna take his precious dog for a walk. You oughta be ashamed of yoself Frank.”
“Chop wasn’t even my dog to begin with!”
“Man fuck you, you became co-parent of him when you had to take him in!”
Franklin could only groan into his pillow, missing the blissful sleep he had been shaken awake from.
“Just go away Lamar! Damn!”
He felt the taller man looming over him, grabbing his shoulders to shake him further awake.
“We’re running outta time, fool. C’mon, I’ll let you ride shotgun this time.”
Chop barked in protest.
“Chop, it’s the only way we might get him out the house.”
Accepting that arguing would get him nowhere, Franklin sat up right, glaring at Lamar.
“For fucks sake man, fine. I’ll go. Jus’ lemme throw on some clothes that ain’t the shit I wore to bed.”
Lamar grinned widely at him.
“Fuck yeah! Chop, let’s go wait in the car.”
The small dog trotted not too far behind Lamar’s long legs. Franklin wondered what force he disturbed that landed him in this position. He sighed, knowing that he wasn’t exactly a saint, so there wasn’t much to wonder at all. If this was his punishment then so be it. The car ride wasn’t too long, especially not after Franklin moving out of Strawberry to Vinewood Hills, making it easier for them to get there. Minimal traffic because of how early it was helped too. Lamar never dropped his grin, just happy to do his favorite thing with his favorite person. Who wouldn’t love watching the sunrise with their best friend? Especially seeing the way the sun lit his face up, a delicate smile on his face seeing an excellent sunrise and- Woah. Where’d that come from? Lamar figured it was just his excitement to see a particularly gorgeous sunrise, using that as an excuse for the feeling that sat in his gut. As soon as they pulled up to the spot, he bounced out of his seat, keeping the door open for Chop.
“We here homie!”
“Mhm.. so where the fuck’s the sunrise?”
“Patience Frank, patience.”
“But you jus’ fuckin’ bitched at me for the last half hour about how we was gon’ miss it! Fuck you mean patience?!”
“It’s coming! Don’t ruin a moment that’s gon’ be special, F.”
He grunted in Lamar’s direction, turning around to go play with Chop for the time being. The sunrise crept up, a ray of sunlight hitting Lamar in the eye. He blocked the light with his hand, hitting Franklin with his free one.
“Ay Frank, look!”
The sunrise that crawled up from the depths of the horizon shone in glimmers of gold and pretty shades of orange. Lamar smiled again.
“Man.. look at that. It’s beautiful ain’t it-“ He turned to face Franklin, who was caught in a trance. The sun hit his face just right, and he looked incredible. Like some sort of focused statue or whatever. It was alright to admire your homies like that, right? Nothin’ wrong with admiring a dude. Franklin turned back to answer him.
“Yeah, it sure is.. you good man?”
Lamar coughed slightly, shifting his weight onto one of his feet.
“Uh.. yeah man, just thought I saw a bug crawling on yo face or sum’. But damn, I’m glad we caught this.”
“Me too. But I’m still pissed you dragged me outta bed so fuckin’ early.”
“Man what’d I say? Don’t bitch while we havin’ a moment!”
Franklin only laughed and Lamar felt something in him stir. It was good to hear him laugh.
“So now what?”
“Well, if we leave now by the time we get back into the city some of them diners should be open for breakfast.”
“This early in the day?”
“Believe it or not Frank but the rest of society does their shit earlier than you. So ya, people eat this early.”
They went back to the car, with Chop riding shotgun this time. Franklin wanted to rest his eyes until they got to whatever food place Lamar was taking them to, earning a snarky comment from him. Lamar wanted to pick a decent place to eat and eventually settled on an old diner they went to as kids. He poked Franklin, reanimating him back to life.
“Look where we at dog.”
“Ohh shit, this that diner we used to go to after school everyday! It’s still in business?”
“Guess so man. Let’s go!”
“Wait! What about Chop?”
Shit. Right. Chop looked at the two men, tilting his head sadly.
“You wanna jus’ bring the food back to yo crib?”
“Eh fuck it. Why not.”
They decided on some basic breakfast food and brought it back to Franklin’s place. The big windows in his kitchen would illuminate the room well enough, and Lamar could value the view from there.
“So tell me Lamar, why’s it you only wanna go see the sunrise? You never mention watchin’ the sunset dog.”
“Ion really know myself homie. One day I just started gettin’ up early wit’ Chop to go walkin’ n shit.”
“Can we watch the sunset sometime then? I am tired of gettin’ up at the asscrack of dawn.”
“That’s cuz you ain’t get yo 9 hours dog.”
“Man, shut the fuck up. Who the hell gets 9 hours at our age? Bozo.”
“I’m just sayin’ maybe if you got some normal sleep for fuckin’ once you wouldn’t be such a GD grouch.”
“Whatever you say bro.”
The two finished their food in comfortable silence, with Franklin scolding Lamar at least once or twice for feeding Chop table scraps.
“So whatchu wanna do now?”
“We could always go catch a movie or sum’, maybe go see that Meltdown movie ya boy Mike was talkin’ ‘bout.”
“Yeah, I never did get the chance to go see it, with all the chaotic bullshit goin’ on.”
They left Chop at home after a long goodbye from Lamar, telling him that as soon as they got back that he would get all the treats in the world and all that other mushy shit. Franklin mocked the high-pitched voice he used to speak to Chop, earning a smack in the arm from Lamar.
They arrived for a matinee showing at the the theater closest to Franklin’s house, getting a bunch of complimentary snacks and some drinks. The movie was awful, but in a way that it was enjoyable to watch. A movie so bad it was good. Franklin kept leaning in to whisper to Lamar how corny the whole thing was, saying that it was definitely right up Michael’s alley. He ignored the closeness between him and his friend as best as he could, but he still shuffled in his seat awkwardly.
“Hey uh, Frank. I’mma go to the bathroom real quick, stretch my legs n shit.”
“Aight, see you in a minute homie.”
His walk to the bathroom felt stagnant, and when he got there all he could do was look at himself in the mirror. What the fuck was his problem right now?
“Get it the fuck together LD. It’s just Frank, it’s nothing weird. Chill out.” He spoke aloud to himself.
He splashed water in his face and walked back to the room showing Meltdown. The movie was almost over and Franklin didn’t make anymore comments. Lamar sighed inwardly, just wanting to get out of there already, despite the whole going-to-see-a-movie thing being his idea to begin with. He didn’t know why he was feeling the way he did right now, and he didn’t know how to make it go away. Franklin leaned over to whisper in his ear once more, sending a chill down Lamar’s spine.
“Dog, this movie sucks and it’s almost over anyway, you wanna just get out of here?”
“Uh.. yeah, yeah. Chop’s prolly missin’ us right now anyway.”
Lamar drove them back this time, driving a lot faster than he should’ve been.
“Woah, homie slow down! What’s the fuckin’ rush for?!”
“I jus’.. Ion know I’m not feelin’ too hot right now and I really jus’ wanna get back to yo place. Maybe lie down or sum’..”
“That ain’t gon’ happen if we get in a fuckin’ car wreck though!”
He slowed it down a bit hearing Franklin’s concerned tone, frustrated by that feeling again. It was like an itch he couldn’t scratch. They pulled up into Frank’s driveway, Lamar nearly knocking over his recycling can, earning another disgruntled comment from Franklin.
“You been actin’ so weird bro, what’s goin’ on?”
“I honestly don’t know. Maybe the food we had jus’ not sittin’ right wit’ me.”
“Well, like you said go lie down or sum’. You wanna sleep in my bed for now? I’ll go take care of Chop or-“
“Uh sure, aight. I’mma go.. do that.”
Franklin looked at him like he had two heads, lifting a brow up in suspicion.
“Aight then, holla at me when you feel somewhat better.”
Lamar basically ran down the stairs to Franklin’s room, closing the door tight behind him. He slid down the door, looking straight ahead. Why did he feel so- so weird right now? He had a pleasant day overall with his best friend, what could possibly be bothering him?? He tossed his head back, making a small thud sound against the door. Groaning out loud, he did a walkthrough of today. He drove to Franklin’s, wanting to see the sunrise. Nothing unusual, this was a common thing they did. The sunrise was pretty, and lit everything up wonderfully. Again, nothing out of the ordinary. Franklin wasn’t entirely a buzzkill when they made it there, if anything he looked tranquil, the sun making his brown eyes glow. Then what? They got food, which tasted just like how he remembered from when Frank and him were just teens. Went to a movie which they basically talked the whole way through, Franklin continuously whispering in his ear. His voice so low and close made him feel hot all over, but it was just because whispering was like that no matter who was doing it. So what the hell was his problem right now? He must not have noticed how long he was in there, because he heard a light tap at the door.
“Lamar? You good homie?”
He rushed to stand up, pretending like he just woke from a short nap.
“Uh, yeah dog, doin’ just fine. Think layin’ down helped.”
“Good. You want me to take you home or do you wanna stay here?”
Part of Lamar wanted to stay just to be around Franklin a little while longer. The other part of him wanted to run right out the door. He thought it over, and figured he might need time to himself. He didn’t think he had it in him to be around Franklin after such a strange day. At least, a strange day for him. Franklin was thankful for the fact they had one normal day to hangout without shenanigans on Lamar’s part… besides the way he had been acting up to now.
“I think I’mma jus’ head back.”
“Aight then.”
The car ride back was silent. Lamar felt like the air was suffocating him, like any minute he’d pass out. He shifted in his seat to look out the window, familiar streets coming up. He didn’t want to look at Franklin for some reason, turning away from him.
“Hey, we here.”
He sat up, getting ready to get out of the car, until Franklin grabbed his wrist. Lamar felt like he was burning him with the contact.
“Ay man, what the fuck’s your problem today?”
“I already told you, it was the food or sum’, chill out dog.”
He loosened his grip, looking unsatisfied with his answer.
“Man fine, but if you hidin’ somethin’ from me I wanna fuckin’ know.”
“I’m not, I promise you.”
“You better not be, you mysterious bitch. Remember, you dragged me out of bed to hangout today.”
He winced, feeling guilty somehow.
“Yeah F, I know.”
Lamar looked back at his house, not wanting to get caught in Franklin’s death stare.
“I’ll see ya later or sum’ Frank.”
“See ya homie.”
He turned back, watching Franklin drive away. Torn between a relieved mood, and a pang of loneliness. As he walked inside his house, he slammed the door in frustration. Franklin and him were on the same page- he didn’t know why he was acting the way he was. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he went to a last resort to get an idea of something. That stupid psychic shoutout website that was growing in popularity. At least it was free.
Hello. What brings you to Miss Marcy’s site?
fuck you think, lady. help me out here
What with?

woah, you really fuckin good lady.
Well, I know I’m a psychic, but I have a feeling I spoke to your friend already.
you did?
Since when did Franklin visit stupid sites like this? He felt a blush creeping onto his face, wondering if Franklin might’ve been in the same boat as him at some point.
Yes. I think I have the answer to your problem, Lamar
please.

Are you absolutely sure you want to hear it?
When I spoke to your friend, he didn’t seem too pleased with what I had to say.

seriously, just think it over.
SERVICE UNAVAILABLE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.
“Fuck.” He whispered to himself.
“Fuck!”
He tossed his phone across the room onto his worn down couch. That didn’t solve his problem. If anything, it just made it worse. Love? Franklin? Him? What the fuck was that bitch smoking? He threw his palms over his face, groaning. He didn’t wanna think about what the fuck she meant. Because there was no way in hell he was in love with Frank. He couldn’t be. That was his day one. His best friend. That would be wrong, right? He paced around his living room, mind racing too quick for his liking. That couldn’t be the explanation for today. No way. That’s just ridiculous. There’s no way… no way he-
Then he thought about it. Like, really thought about it. The gears in his head were running at full speed now.
“Oh shit.”
//end of pt 1!!!!! this is already long as is, and i think i’m gonna finish it in another part or so. apologies for any grammatical errors ofc 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️

Paper Bag (Request)
MCU Cast x gn!teen!co-star!reader
Genre: angst, fluff
Request Description: Hope i am not bothering you but can i request one of avengers cast x teen!reader, where the reader gets acne and they think their ugly so they put a paperbag over their face but the cast notices and they ask them what's wrong and the reader removes their bag and say that they are ugly but the cast is like its normal to have it and you're beautiful.
Warnings: insecurity, self hatred, body hate, language
(A/N): berlin was AWESOME. i slept the ENTIRETY of yesterday so today i will post as well as tomorrow and monday too! enjoy the fics (hopefully) :D
You’d been in Marvel movies as a returning character for years. Your character was growing up, just as you were, and you loved every moment spent with the cast. They’d known you since you were about 6, and your bond with them was as real as could be.
Knowing them all for so long, you’d been able to tell them most of your problems. The early problems with fame, love troubles, friendship drama, and general weird thinking about the world. They had in many ways raised you.
But there was one thing - something that brought such a dark shadow of shame over you, so maddening and humiliating you’d never ever told them. You were insecure about how you looked.
It was ridiculous. I mean, you’d always kind of disliked your body type, and as you grew, you wished you had certain other features. Some of the insecurity came with fame, but the root of it just always seemed to have been there.
That’s why when you looked in the mirror to see your first pimple, your reaction was not as simple as being bummed out. You felt disgusting. So disgusting, in fact, you stayed in your trailer and cried and cried and cried, and eventually covered your mirrors, because the reflection you saw was an evil taunt. It told you that you were ugly.
But the mirrors being covered didn’t help. You couldn’t feel comfortable with the cast anymore, not knowing a bright red pimple adorned your usually untouched forehead. Not knowing you looked so stupid. Your mood was ruined, and your reflection was seemingly everywhere to bully you.
It reflected you on smooth surfaces, like counters and shelves, in glass and in bathroom mirrors. You cried each time you were reminded of your frank ugliness. It only worsened when you got several more pimples, and you felt yourself scrambling to fix everything, to stop the taunting that was so constant in your brain.
The moment you pulled the paper bag over your head, it stopped. You were anonymous again. No fame, no beauty, no ugliness. Anonymity was a superpower.
The first time you wore it, you only wore it at home, and then struggled the rest of the day with your crippling self hatred. After two days of this, you couldn’t resist it. Wearing it to work. You knew it looked weird, but you just wanted so, so desperately to feel comfortable again.
“Woah, who’s that?” Anthony asked as you walked onto set that morning, paper bag resting on your shoulders, and three holes (two eyes, one mouth) cut into it.
“It’s me,” you said curtly. It was a fair group of people you had accidentally run into. Anthony, Scarlett, Sebastian, Chris (Evans), and Elizabeth sat in the break room where you were trying to get some coffee in. You wanted to avoid everyone as long as possible. You knew your actions would raise questions (questions you really did not want to answer), so you’d planned to not speak to anyone outside of the filming. You would take it off in front of the camera, and then grab it as soon as possible, to minimise the agony and self hatred that had caused it in the first place.
“Y/n? Why are you wearing a paper bag?” Scarlett’s joking tone signalled she (and probably the others too) thought it was a joke of sorts. A prank, maybe. You ignored her question and put a mug beneath the dispenser, pressing a couple of buttons. Coffee was dispensed. You waited silently.
“Are you okay?” Sebastian called from the couch.
“Yep.”
There was an uncomfortable silence. You just wanted to leave. If only wearing a paper bag everywhere was socially acceptable.
“What’s with the paper bag, sweetheart?” Elizabeth asked worriedly. They had probably realised by now, that it was more than just a practical joke. You panicked.
“I’m doing a.. It’s an experiment.. For school,” you lied. You went to pick up your mug, but, regretfully, you realised your hand was shaking. A lot. In fact, your entire body was shaking a little bit. They were just a little bit too close to the truth. To the shame.
You grabbed the mug and took it, backing out to exit the room, but you went to quick, hand slipping, and the mug as well as its contents spilled out onto the floor. The mug shattered and the hot, brown liquid flooded the floor.
“Hey-” a hand found your shoulder, making you jump away and shriek. The paper bag rattled at the motion. It was Chris who’d walked up to you (very stealthily, may I add) and was now looking at you with those concerned blue eyes. “Are you okay, N/n? What’s wrong?”
The mug was shattered. The coffee was on the floor. You had pimples on your forehead and you couldn’t stand yourself. You started crying.
Silently crying, but visibly shaking, you lowered yourself to your knees on the floor, grasping your head through the paper bag in agony. You hated yourself. It was such a loud feeling.
“Y/n..” you heard Chris mumble, squatting down next to you and stroking your back. The shuffling of feet came closer, until the cast was standing next to you. The paper bag rattled once more, as this time, you took it off.
“I’m so ugly. I’m so ugly, Chris, I can’t stand myself,” you sobbed, now audibly, tears running down your face and some dripping into the spilt coffee. You saw your reflection in the liquid, and shame overtook you once more. “I’m so ugly-”
“Stop. No, you’re not.”
“Yes, I am. I’ve got- I’ve got pimples on my face and I-” you croaked, but broke off into a sob once more.
“Hang on, is this about pimples?” Sebastian intercepted, stepping forward. You shook your head.
“No.. Well, yeah. But it’s just.. Everything. I always hated how I looked, and I.. This just made it worse, I guess..”
“Oh, sweetie..” Scarlett mumbled, as both her and Elizabeth pulled you up form the wetted floor, and into a hug. They rubbed your back and squeezed you tight.
“You’re such a stunning young person, N/n. In every way. And pimples! They’re the most natural thing on the planet. I had pimples, Scarlett had pimples, Sebastian, Chris, Anthony! We’ve all had it,” Elizabeth said, as your raking sobs turned to sniffles in the ladies’ warm embraces. You nodded into her shoulder.
“Please, believe me, N/n, when I say that you’re one of the most gorgeous humans I’ve ever encountered. Inside and out,” Scarlett’s voice had never seemed as comforting as then.
“For the record, we don’t think you’re ugly either. You’re the definition of beautiful. I’d let my kids date you. And that’s a huge compliment!” Anthony jumped in, semi-jokingly, but gaze as serious as could be.
You wheezed a laugh. The pimples, that previously had seemed as bright and glowing as Rudolph’s red nose, seemed less significant now. Actually, you realised you’d never felt as comfortable as you did then. The insecurity that had had so many ties over you, had been cut loose. You were free and floating.
You almost felt stupid for not telling them sooner. The confidence you felt, was something you’d never gotten to experience.
You pulled away form Elizabeth and Scarlett, smiling and wiping your eyes.
“Thank you, guys. I’m sorry for being so dramatic,” you giggled now, face puffy and cried-out, but still you felt beautiful.
“Hey, no. You weren’t being dramatic. You were struggling with something and we helped you. Simple as that,” Sebastian said, ruffling your hair and smiling encouragingly.
“And don’t hesitate to tell any of us, if you feel like this again. We will jump to comfort you at any time of the day,” Chris added, patting your shoulder. You wiped your eyes once more, smiling like a dork.
“Can I get a hug?” you asked.
They hugged you, and you felt so loved and beautiful. You truly had somewhere, you thought, that you could always tell anyone anything. You had something so incredible. You had a family.

This fic was commissioned by @mrneighbourlove, thank you so much for the support and giving me the chance to write about your character!
"Shit, come back here!" Leere called out to the small figure she was chasing down the busy market streets of Oshmel.
Five minutes after entering the town and she had already gotten lost as well as got her bag stolen. It was rather embarrassing. She might have the thought to shame herself for her naivety if she weren't pelting after the little thief.
Leere had been walking down the crowded streets, map in hand. She had been trying to find her accommodation for the coming evening when a young child had approached her. Clearly a local, the kid offered his help in leading Leere to her destination. She wasn't one to object to a kind offer, especially not when she secretly needed it, so she let the boy lead the way.
Leere had just started thinking about giving the youth a few rupees for his trouble when another kid jumped her. Snatching her rucksack with all of her things and running off, while the first boy vanished into the busy streets.
Although it did take her moment to realise just what had happened, she was soon in hot pursuit of the second child. She might not be able to punish the bait but at the very least she could recover her things
For how much she was growing to hate the brat, she didn't want to endanger him or other civilians around him by using her magic. She would, unfortunately, have to do this the hard way.
The kid quickly turned out of the busy main streets and ducked into a quiet alleyway. Leere had thought this would give her an advantage with her long legs but the child seemed to have knowledge with the area and still kept a good distance between them.
"Stop! Thief!" Leere called, hoping she might grab anyone's attention. "Get back here dammit!"
The kid kept close to the left side of the alleyway, clearly ready to skid into a turn down a different laneway in the next few paces. But to Leere's great relief, a tall man poked his torso out from the corner, to see what all the commotion was about. And the kid crashed right into him.
Leere restrained a smile as she caught up to the rascal. Catching her breath, she made sure to first snatch her bag back before the little kid could scuttle off.
When Leere turned to thank her unexpected aid, she noticed the stranger seemed unfazed by the collision. He really was also very tall, with at least two heads more height than Leere. Unrecognizable, it wasn't until she looked to the man's face - marked with a wide, excited grin - that she realised who he was.
"Teb?" Leere asked, pleasantly surprised to see her youngest adoptive brother in a place like this.
"Leere!" Tebanam grinned widely, sweeping his older sister into a hug. "What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing!" Leere answered, welcoming the embrace.
"So you were going up to Kahmel as well?" Tebanam said with surprise as he finished his meal. "Don't tell me, you were going after the rumoured treasure in the town's shrine."
Leere let out a chuckle, "I'm guessing you had the same idea?"
"Well yeah," Tebanama nonchalantly nodded. "But I was also going up there for research."
"Oh?" Leere said, pausing the forkful of food she was about to eat. "This is about that distant relative of the Gerudo, right?"
"Yeah, the Garai."
Oshmel, the city Leere and Tebanam currently occupied, was a border city. Just a few minutes by cart from the perimeter of Hyrule, this town was a mix of all cultures. It was a city filled with locals, travellers and full of people from nearly every race in the land. The settlement lived at the summit of a great mountain, one which hides within its craters an old, deserted tribal village, known as Kahmel. Some people believe the people who had occupied the village died by a plague, others by wild animals and others still believed they had been cursed. Either way, no one bothered going up the mountain. After all, nothing was up there accept the sad, abandoned ghost town.
For all the travelling the two of them did, this was their first time meeting on the road. Perhaps it was only a matter of time until Leere would run into Tebanam but it did come at a good time.
About half a year ago, Tebanam and Leere - as well as all their other siblings - had returned to Hyrule castle to celebrate the birth of Covarog's first two children. Leere loved being home with her family, she would stay there forever if she didn't feel the call of adventure.
It had been two years since Tebanam had lost Jazoh - a noble boy taken away from court for being caught having a sexual relationship with the young prince - and Leere and her fellow adopted sister Rinku had only meant to help Tebanam.
For being away from Hyrule for so long, the youngest son of Ganondorf had not seemed to recover from the loss of his partner. The sister's had sought to help Tebanam and comfort him. But at some point, they must've upset him.
Leere could not remember the exact reason but Tebanam had stood up - towering over his elder sisters - and looked Leere right into the eyes and spat, "You're only depressed simply because you want attention! My feelings aren't something I can easily turn off like yours, Leere!"
Rinku, furious at Tebanam's statement and intending to defend her sisters, had countered, "She's only trying to help you, Tebanam! You only travel because you lost your fuck toy! As if that's a good way to cope!"
Tebanam had looked furious, but the pain of hearing his eldest's sister's words cut him deep enough to shut his mouth. He only huffed and stormed out of the room, choosing to leave before he said or heard anything more he may regret.
Leere had left before confronting Tebanam about it. Although she didn't say those things, she still should've at least given him a positive farewell.
However, Tebanam happily talked about his travels, Leere could tell that he did not hold any sort of grudge against her.
"Remember that set of armour I gave papa?" Tebanam asked his pompous smirk wide. "He keeps it on display in his office, y'know." Leaning back in his chair, the half Gerudo man puffed out his chest in pride.
Leere let out a snort, "Not last time I was there. Yours was missing the greaves, remember? So it's an incomplete set." Leere loved teasing he brother and by the pitiful bummed out look on his face, she was looking forward to giving him worse. "Mama likes the golden fan I gave her."
Tebanam snorted, "Yeah but what's the point of a fan if you're not going to use it? Mama's not a shower like Papa either."
That shut Leere right up, not that she minded.
Hyrule castle held the largest collection of armour, antiques and artifacts in the land. All starting with King Ganondorf, the passion for treasure hunting had been passed down to many of his children. Both Leere and Tebanam were both proud competitors of a non-existent competition to see who could bring back the best discovery for their parents. As if her parents could love her any less for not finding a prettier treasure than Tebanam, Leere still could not quite let this immature contest go.
"I have a . . . question for you." Tebanam said, distracting Leere from her walk down memory lane. Leere gave an inquisitive look, which seemed enough for her brother to continue. "You know how you can transform, right?"
Leere frowned, she could almost see the gears in Tebanam's head whirring. "Yeah? What about it?"
"Would you be able to say . . . transform into a man?"
"Well yeah, it's a pretty easy spell actually. Even Mama can do it."
"Although the idea of our dear Mama as a man sounds really funny, that is a subject for a different conversation." Pausing to hear Leere let out a chuckle in bemusement, the brother than continued. "Do you still remember it? As in, can you still do it?"
"Yeah . . . I guess." Leere's eyes then squinted in suspicion. "Where are you going with this?"
"Well . . ."
Having found Tebanam's hotel, they had retreated to his room.
It was rather small, what with the large king-sized bed taking up a large amount of space. But Leere didn't have time to judge Tebanam's choice in accommodation when her brother was hurrying her along.
"Alright," Tebanam said, locking the door so no one could enter. "Now let's see what you can do."
Although still unaware of Tebanam's plan, Leere obeyed her little brother's wishes. With a string of non-Hyrulian words, it only took a few seconds before she disappeared behind smoke - an aftereffect of shape-shifting magic. Once the smoke cleared, Leere spoke.
"Did it - Woah!" Leere began before clutching at her throat. Her light and effeminate voice was now low and gravely. "My voice!"
"No way!" Tebanam said, his face covered with shock and awe. "It worked! I mean, you look exactly the same but . . . But a man!"
Going to the hotel room mirror, Leere was greeted by an adult man in her reflection. Her face was just as pale, eyes just as red and hair just as long. She even still had the beauty spot below the left side of his lip. But there was no mistaking it, she had become a man.
A tuft of brown facial hair covered her chin, a strong jawline and obvious Adam's apple made her look like a normal Hylian man.
"I'm honestly surprised," Leere said as she turned around in front of the mirror. "I haven’t used this spell in years. Not since I was a kid."
Then again, that was when she was young. Where there wasn't really a lot of difference between a prepubescent boy and girl. But looking at herself now, she would honestly not recognise herself.
She could already tell she was a bit taller but only a little, as she compared herself to her mixed-raced younger brother. Leere also felt stronger too, her arm muscles easily bulging out of the shirt she wore.
Now that she mentioned it, her clothes did seem rather tight. Especially around her crotch.
"What the heck?!" Leere shouted at the sight she saw under her pants and underwear.
Tebanam did not seem to feel any shame in joining in and sneaking a peek. And before Leere had the right mind to slap him silly, he was cackling.
"Bahahah!" Tebanam roared, holding his stomach. "I-It's like an acorn! Ahahaha!"
Leere glared at her brother, "Shut it! I'm not a giant Gerudian like you, OK?!"
But nothing seemed to reach Tebanam. He was in a fit of uncontrollable laughter, hunching over as he almost seemed to be in physical pain. Even with Leere - softly - punching him, it took Tebanam a good few minutes to recover.
Wiping his tearing eyes, the young prince sighed. Standing tall, he gave Leere another look over.
"Man, you really are a man, huh? I wouldn't even know it was you if I saw you."
Leere couldn't help but feel proud. Raising an arm and flexing her new muscles. "Are you doubting my magic, little brother?"
Tebanam chuckled, "As if, I know my place."
Leere huffed, "So you should."
"But I've gotta say," Tebanam said, walking a circle around Leere with a hand at his own chin. "You look like the sort of guy I would go after."
"Ew, gross." Leere frowned in disgust.
A look of excitement grew on Tebanam's face. "You know what?" He said excitedly, his eyes wide with excitement. "Let's go out!"
"What?" Leere blanched, "Why?"
"Why not!" His voice filled with enthusiasm. "Let's see how long your spell lasts!"
"How?"
"Let's go to a gay bar!"
"Wha-" Leere began but then shook her head. "No way! They'd definitely know."
"Trust me," Tebanam said, patting his, now, brother on the shoulder. "They won't notice a thing!"
"Wait a second," Leere said, stopping Tebanam in his tracks. Pointing a finger defiantly at her brother, "This was what you were planning from the start!"
"Nu-uh!" Tebanam objected, "I want to . . . test your magic and . . ." He was clearly fumbling for an excuse worthy of his plan but with no success.
Leere crossed her arms over her chest. "Come on, what's going on?"
Tebanam sighed, lifting an arm to ruffle his short, bright orange hair. "Well, I may have, kinda, sort of, got on the bad side of a bartender at the gay bar and got into a fight."
Leere let out a long sigh, shaking her head. "Should I ask?"
"Let's just say that you should never hit on a bartender's sidepiece."
Leere shook her head in disappointment. But this did sound a lot like what her brother would do.
"I'm not going, Teb." Leere said, not helping but sounding sympathetic despite Tebanam's stupidity. "I'm not going to be your bodyguard just so you don't get your ass beaten."
"C'mooooon," Her brother drawled, "Pleeaasee? Have you never wanted to experience what it's like to be a man? Better yet - a gay man? Besides, I'm sure it would be fun!"
Leere pursed her lips and tried to stand for her own convictions. But - for some unknown reason - seeing her fully-grown baby brother plead and implore her made her question her own decision.
Letting out a long exaggerated sigh, Leere rolled her eyes. "Fine! But I'm not the one who's going to save you if you get into any trouble."
On the other side of town, surrounded by brothels, bars and shifty-looking hotels, Oshmel's gay bar was alive with raucous laughter, chatter and music. Men of all ages and races gathered in and around the building. All seeming to be having a great night.
Leere shuffled where she stood at the entrance of the gay bar. She wore a spare pair of Tebanam's old clothes. A bit too big, Leere had made do and created an outfit that suited her new physique.
Leere felt nervous. And she didn't usually get nervous. In circumstances like these, Leere would be excited to go in and have a good time. But with her being under an enchantment, she had a fear that her magic could soon vanish and she knew the many patrons of this male exclusive bar wouldn't be welcome to a woman among them.
Besides, she didn't really know how men, more specifically gay me, flirted. She could use her feminine wiles to make men, and even more women, fall to their knees but she had doubts on her skills as a man.
Luckily, Tebanam - while holding back his clear excitement - comforted her. "You'll be fine, Leer. I promise, if anything happens, we're out."
Leere did not seem convinced, giving her brother a doubtful look.
"Alright, alright." Tebanam said, "I'll pay for your drinks too."
Leere was not one to ignore a free drink, so she grabbed onto Tebanam's wrist and lead the way inside the busy bar.
The gay bar was a nice establishment. With many tables filled with patrons, outside veranda and large dance floor, it was definitely a place Leere would happily go to. The building was dark apart from the candles or torches scattered about, making the mood of the building one of flirtation and mischief. A live band played cheerful yet slow music, a beat perfect to dance to as some patrons were demonstrating.
Going to the bar, Tebanam ordered two of the house's beer. The man behind the bar was quick and settled the two flasks on the bartop for the two siblings to take.
Leere took a hearty sip, welcoming the bitter taste like an old friend, watching over the joyful crowd.
"Hey, is Rukah here?" Tebanam asked the bartender, leaning over to see past the staff behind the bar.
The man shook his head. "No, it's his day off tonight."
Tebanam's said a quick thanks before looking to Leere with relief.
"Let me guess," Leere smiled with bemusement and took another healthy swallow of her drink. "He's the bully you're trying to avoid."
Tebanam nodded, "Trust me, I am not at all sad he isn't here."
Leere's brother then turned back to the bartender a telltale smirk on his lips. He's on the prowl , Leere thought. Not much caring, however.
Both of them finished their first drinks and quickly got a second. Whether that was on Tebanam's tab or the flattered bartender's, Leere didn't know but she was thankful nonetheless.
Just enjoying the amazing vocal acrobatics Tebanam did in flirting with the staff, Leere almost didn't notice a man take the spot on the other side of her at the bar.
"Hey, handsome," The good-looking Hyrulian said with a kind smile. Leaning onto the bartop and looking Leere over.
Tall and decently muscular, Leere would consider him as being a rather attractive man. He had short, blonde hair and soft blue eyes that crinkled when he smiled. Maybe it was just Leere's paranoia but the man looked shifty. Her suspicions didn't seem enough to think twice on it, however.
"Oh," Leere said outwardly, surprised someone would come up to her so soon after arriving. "Hey yourself." Giving her normal flirtatious smile.
It seemed to work a treat, the man only smiled wider. "I've never seen you around here before. Traveller?"
"Yeah," Leere answered with a nod, finishing the last drops of her beer. "Passing through to Kahmel."
"Kahmel?" The man repeated in surprise. His eyes not restraining from looking Leere over again. "By yourself? You must be stronger than you look."
Leere smiled, knowing well that the assumption was based on her still obvious height difference with the stranger. Only miniscule compared to that of her Gerudo siblings, clearly, it was something the man had to note.
"Trust me, I can handle myself." Leere countered, giving a wink for good measure.
The man let out a chuckle, "Oh? Can you handle another drink, then?"
"Easily."
The man got a bartender's attention, ordered and within a few minutes another pint of beer was in Leere's hand.
With already half of her third beer past her lips, she felt a hand go around her waist. The man only smiled, shuffling closer to where she stood at the bar.
"So tell me," The Hyrulian began, his voice low yet very audible over the throng of the bar. "What's your name?"
"Leere." She said, curious to see the man's reaction to her effeminate name.
He didn't seem to falter, only smiling further. "Well, Leere, I'm Rukah."
The name sounded familiar but Leere just took it to just be that it was a common Hyrulian name. Raising her glass she nodded to the man, "Nice to meet you, Rukah."
Finishing her drink in one final gulp, the hand at her waist tugged her ever closer to Rukah's side. "What are you doing after this?" His blue eyes seemed to glow in the dark lighting of the bar, making goosebumps rise on Leere's forearms.
"Well I'll probably go home with my-" She turned to point to her brother but found he was very clearly occupied. Leaning over the bartop, he had snagged a quick kiss from the bartender who seemed more than happy for another. " . . . Friend." She finished lamely, impressed yet annoyed by how distracted her brother had gotten in the mere minutes after arriving.
Rukah chuckled, clearly seeing why Leere paused, "Well it looks like your friend is preoccupied at the moment."
Just as Rukah spoke, the music in the tavern changed. Although the same upbeat tempo as the last hymn, this one was lead by a flute. Clearly a favourite of the patrons, the dancefloor was soon stuffed with new dancers.
Rukah seemed to have the same idea, turning to Leere after looking at the crowd. "Would you like to dance?"
Leere didn't need to look over to her brother to know he was still engrossed in seducing the staff so she shrugged. "Sure."
Joining the ever growing group of occupants on the dancefloor, Leere easily found her rhythm. Dancing and swaying to the beat of the song, she was a bit too inebriated to care if she was giving herself away by the rather erotic way she danced. Rukah seemed impressed and no one seemed to be planning to make a big deal out of it.
Leere had found her stride in regards to flirting as a man, easily knowing when to give Rukah or one of the customers a suggestive glance, when to graze her hand or rear against someone else's. Overall, she was having a good amount of fun.
Sadly, the song had to change and although many people still stayed to dance to the new tune, most opted to retreat back to their tables or the bar. Rukah was one of them, offering Leere another drink before leading the way out of the thinning crowd.
Leere could not see Tebanam at the bar, perhaps already having escorted that bartender back to his hotel room. Leere did feel hurt but seeing the newest pint in Rukah's hand, she easily pushed such thoughts aside.
Leere lifted the drink to her lips and gulped nearly half of the amber liquid down before realising something was off. There was this tang at the back of her throat, something that really should not be in a normal beer.
Looking to Rukah, the Hyrulian man seemed to be looking over cautiously, as if expecting something to happen.
Shit , Leere thought. Quickly trying to take a step towards the bathroom and away from the stranger. Intending to throw up the contents of that beer, Rukah grabbed onto her wrist as soon as she turned away from him.
"Hey now," He said, putting on a look of concern. "What's wrong? Where are you going?"
"B-Bathroom," Leere uttered.
The lights seemed to be going brighter as if someone put fuel to the flames. Her legs soon felt weak, her knees eventually feeling unbalance just by standing still. Something was wrong. Something was in that drink.
"C'mon," Rukah tried to soothe her, reaching out his other hand to take Leere's freed wrist. "Don't you wanna dance a bit more?"
"N-No," Leere weakily shook her head, trying but failing to pull out of the man's grip. "There was . . . There was something in my drink."
The world was beginning to spin, disorientating Leere with even the slightest turn of her head. Whatever was in her drink, it was spreading. Pumped into the bloodstream it made quick work with the alcohol. This wasn't an accident, this was done on purpose and Leere knew just who the culprit was.
Taking a step back again, Leere tried to escape from Rukah's clutches but instead lost her footing. Perhaps due to the sticky floor near the bar or just her now feeble legs, the ground came out from under her.
But two strong hands caught her before she landed on the ground. With what strength Leere had, she looked up.
Tebanam was back and he looked worried. Placing a hand on Leere's forehead, he checked her temperature. "Hey, you ok?"
"N-No," Leere said shakily. "Something was in my-"
"He's fine." Rukah interrupted, taking back Leere's wrist and giving it a soft tug. "We were just thinking about going back to my place."
Tebanam frowned, looking from his weakened sister to the stranger. "I don't think so." Easily grabbing onto the Hyrulian's wrist, he squeezed the shorter man hard enough to recoil from his grapple on Leere, who welcomed the protective arm of her brother around her.
"W-We were having fun!" Rukah stuttered, trying to defend himself out desperation. "He'll be fine, I'll look after him. Why don't you go back to chatting with Tirill?" Nodding to the bar, clearly speaking about the man Tebanam had been flirting with. "You two were getting pretty familiar, it'd be a shame if-"
Rukah paused his rambling to scowl. Looking up, he squinted at Tebanam's face as if recognising him. "Wait just a moment . . . Do I know you?"
Even Leere could feel Tebanam stiffen. His arms squeezing ever so tighter around her shoulders as if to keep her from slipping away.
"No you don’t," Tebanam obviously lied. "I'm just a-"
"Yeah . . ." Rukah interrupted, raising a hand to point at the tall man. "Yeah, I know you alright! You're that prick who went after Rilon!"
"Y-You're wrong, I don't know a Rilon." Tebanam continued, taking a cautious step back.
"Don't you bullshit me!" Rukah angrily shouted, catching bystander's attention. "You were here before! Going after him when you knew he was mine!"
"Well, m-maybe I did," Tebanam admitted, "But I didn't know he was yours."
Leere, perhaps too out of it to truly understand the context of this fight, could not help but spare a thought of bemusement. Seeing her tall half-Gerudo brother almost cowering from the puny Hyrulian that stood in front of him.
"Shut it!" Rukah said, clearly intoxicated and visibly angry. Reaching out he grabbed onto Leere's wrist. So tight that is it made her grunt in discomfort. "Imma take your boyfriend and we'll pretend like this never happened."
"Boyfriend?!" Tebanam said, tone heavy with shock and disgust. "He's my sis-brother!" Leere could feel her younger sibling take a step backwards, trying to make space between them and the Hyrulian. "Now let go of him!"
"No way," Rukah said, shaking his head as he closed the space between them again. "I work here, remember? So you better play nice."
With one strong yank, Leere had slipped from Tebanam's safe embrace into the stranger’s arms. Holding both of her arms behind her back and with Leere's symptoms only worsening, there was no way she would have the strength to free herself.
"I'll repeat myself only one more time." Rukah said, a half-crazed smirk curling his face. "You get out of my club and leave your . . . brother with me."
With all the strength she had left, Leere crouched in her assailant's grip. And before either her brother or her attacker could say a thing, she jumped upwards and slamming the back of her head into Rukah's chin and nose.
Leere felt the arms that had been restraining her loosen and took the needed steps to get back to Tebanam's side. Rukah was on the floor, falling onto his ass from the force of the hit. He let out a pathetic groan, clutching at his face as he wriggled to get back up to his feet.
To Leere's dismay, three men separated from the onlooking crowd to join Rukah by his side. Clearly not there to negotiate.
Leere swore under her breath. Knowing her condition, she would only be able to fight off one of the newcomers. But Leere then felt the hand that held her close squeeze her. Tebanam was still with her and clearly, he'd be able to handle the rest of the rabble.
The newcomers were the first to move in. All at once, all three lept to separate the siblings. Leere kicked one in the shin, causing the man to topple. Tebanam used his large forearms to careen across and smack the other two away.
In the ensuing chaos, Leere quickly had her opponent groaning from a broken bone and Tebanam had left the other two men unconscious.
Thankfully, that seemed to be the only people who were planning to side with the now bleeding Rukah. So before any more people got any ideas, the siblings quickly pushed through the onlooking crowd and left the bar in a run.
The night sky outside of Oshmel was beautiful. Without the lights of the city brightening the heavens, the navy blue was dotted by bright stars. It was also silent apart from the soft running of the nearby river flowing through the grasslands and the soft chirping of local insects.
Too bad that was ruined by Leere heaving up the inside of her stomach into the river. Trying as best she could to get rid of any last remnants of whatever Rukah had slipped into her drink. The only comfort being the soft, comforting pat of her little brother against her hunched back.
With her stomach feeling empty and throat sore from choking, Leere laid down in the grass to rest and to stop her head from spinning.
"You feeling better?" Tebanam inquired, sitting next to her and looking over the meadow-covered scape.
"Not a lot," Leere muttered and lifted her had to squeeze it into a fist. "But my energy is coming back."
"Good," Tebanam sighed in relief. "I'm sorry, by the way. I really should've kept an eye on you."
"Yeah, you should've." Leere said dryly but then nudging Tebanam from where she lay to tell him she was joking. "But it's not your fault. It's that son of a bitch Rukah who should by saying sorry."
Tebanam let out an understanding grunt but didn't seem to quite like he had understood that he had been forgiven. Guilt still twinkled in his orange eyes as a frown played at his brow.
"Listen . . . I'm sorry for what I had said. The last time we saw each other, I mean." Tebanam muttered, pulling a blade of grass from the stem to fiddle with it in his fingers. "It was uncalled for."
Leere shrugged, sitting up to watch her little brother twist and tug at the leaf. "It's fine. Me and Rinku weren't really helping things. I don't really know where it all came from but . . . we really shouldn't have ended it like that."
Tebanam nodded, the blade of grass now tatters in his lap. "Yeah . . . me neither."
Nudging her baby brother again, Leere smiled to him. "As if I could ever hold a grudge against you, Teb."
Tebanam could only smile, reassurance being all he needed to let him relax where he sat. "We better get going then." The brother said before getting to his feet. "You can stay in my room tonight."
Leere stood up on her feet but soon felt her knees shake under the pressure of holding herself upwards. Tebanam seemed to see her dilemma and smiled.
"C'mon," He said, crouching and offering his back for her to climb onto. "I'll carry you."
Leere restrained a smile and obeyed, quickly getting into Tebanam's back. She was having a strong sense of nostalgia. They had used to do this when they were kids, only it had been the other way around. Tebanam sobbing from a grazed knee and Leere telling him off for not being careful.
"Goddesses, you're heavy." Tebanam groaned as he steadied himself.
Leere playfully hit her brother, "That's no way to talk to a girl." "But your not a girl," Tebanam retorted, smirking at Leere's still transformed appearance.
"Oh yeah!" The sister gasped, quickly muttering the needed incantation under her breath. She soon felt lighter, her clothes loosening and her chest quickly weighing her down. "Better?"
"Much so," Tebanam answered mid-chuckle.
For that one night, the town of Oshwel was treated to the sound of adult siblings laughter as the two of them, with only one trail of footsteps, ran down the empty streets.

Mr. CEO(part 2)
(A/N: i actually like the way that this turned out so i might keep doing things where i have a part one and a part two or i might even go a little crazy and start a series?!! who knows😉)
Summary: Shawn Mendes is one of the youngest CEOs’ in the world. He was also one of the most popular fighters out there. He had a thing going with his personal assistant Y/N. That was until it started going downhill. Will they be able to fix the damage?
-
-
“I knew it! Did he get punched? Beaten? By who?”
“Y/N, he broke his wrist.”
“Wait. Huh?”
“The impact of his punch was too much and his wrist snapped.”
“He’s so stupid. I cannot believe him.” I muttered under my breath.
“I know. I will text you all the details and stuff. Get there as soon as you can.”
“Alright. I’m coming.”
I grabbed my car keys and was out the door in a matter of seconds.
-
“Thanks for coming.” Brian said as I entered the hospital.
I followed him to the fourteenth floor which was apparently reserved for Shawn only. When we entered the room my heart shattered when my eyes landed on him. He looked at me and sighed.
“See. I told you she was fine.” Brian stated.
“Yeah, alright. Now can you drop her back off at home.”
I gritted my teeth and anger shot through my blood.
“I’m done with this game, Shawn. Tell me what’s going on right now.” My voice cracked. I can tell it was because I’m still very upset over the sight in front of me.
“Alright.” Shawn nodded.
“This is my cue to give you love birds some space. I will be back with lunch in about an hour.” Brian said as he walked out.
I walked over and sat down in the chair beside the hospital bed and took in what I saw in front of me. The love of my life was laying in hospital bed hooked up to IVs and a cast on his hand. He looked like he was in so much pain and all I wanted to do was take all of it away from him.
“So when I started fighting, I was apart of this gang. But after a year or so, I became an individual fighter. This had the gang I was apart of very angry. They thought I was going to let out their strategies. So they conspired to try and kill me. They sent threats to my family, to Brian. But I always made sure that my people were safe. Once I became CEO, they backed off a little bit. That was only because if the media found out about their illegal games, they’d be locked up. When they realized I have a girlfriend, that is you, they thought they could threaten me again by harming you. I didn’t want that to happen. That’s why I was behaving in this way. Because I was scared something was going to happen to you. And if anything did, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.”
“Woah.” I mumble finally understanding his what his intentions were.
“But I can’t stay away from you, Y/N. I just can’t. I’m fucking miserable without you.”
“Then don’t.” I say quietly.
“But then you’ll be in danger.”
“Shawn, I’ll be fine.”
“I don’t know if I can protect you.”
“Shawn I think you underestimate me and yourself.” I smile.
He rolled his eyes. I smacked his uninjured arm.
“I hate you, Shawn Mendes.”
“No you just hate that you love me so much.” He said with a grin on his face.
-
*Two years later*
-
After all of the ups and downs from the past two years with Shawn. Today was the day. I’m finally getting married! My stomach filled with butterflies at the thought. I’m marrying the love of my life today. I’m about to experience one of the most unforgettable moments in my entire life.
I looked at myself in the mirror one last time. I couldn’t be happier. I had my dream wedding dress on. It was exactly what I had visioned it would be when I was a little girl. I felt like a literal princess. Everything was going perfect.
“Y/N? Where are you?” I heard Shawn’s mom, Karen, say approaching the room I was in.
“I’m coming, don’t worry.” I spoke out softly, turning and looking at her as she walked into the room.
“Oh my gosh, Y/N! You look so beautiful!” She said to me. Karen was like the mom figure to me. My mom passed away a year after I met Shawn. My mom was my best friend and losing her broke me entirely. Karen eventually became the mom figure in my life almost the second I met her. I talk to her like she really is my own mom.
“Thank you! You look beautiful too. I love your dress.” I said as I ran my hands over the front of my dress, smoothing out the fabric.
“My dress is nothing compared to yours, love! Shawn will be knocked off his feet when he sees you.” She said fanning her face. I started tearing up at her words about Shawn. Oh my god, did I miss him. Everyone insisted that we couldn’t see other the day before the wedding or the day of. I hate being apart from him because he always calms me down.
“Speaking of Shawn, let’s get there. I wanna see my boy!” I spoke up.
As we walked out of the room my best friend, Aubrey came running up.
“OH MY GOD! You look gorgeous!” She squealed running up to me and Karen.
“Thank you!” I said smiling widely at her.
“I cannot believe my best friend is getting married!”
“Where is everyone else?” I said referring to all my other bridesmaids.
“Here!” Joe yelled running my way with my other two best friends, Addy and Hannah. Joe he worked for Shawn, but he was also my gay best friend. I couldn’t have my wedding and not have him in it.
My other two bridesmaids looked beautiful in their dresses. Their white dresses matched almost perfectly with mine. And Joe looked amazing in his black tailored suit. I have seen my maid of honor yet though and that kind of worried me.
I asked Aaliyah, Shawn’s little sister to be my maid of honor because she had become my best friend. I was close with Karen but I was even closer with Aaliyah.
“Who are you looking for?” Joe asked me.
“Aaliyah.” Aubrey answered him for me.
“She’s already waiting on you now. The groom and the others just left so we told her to not come back since she had already been helping you.” Addy added. I nodded at her understanding.
“Well she is Shawn’s little sister. And she told me she wanted to help as much as possible.” I said and they all nodded.
“Alright well. Let’s go make you a Mendes!” Joe shouted and all of the girls squealed. We walked outside and everyone helped me with the train of my dress. The helped me to my bridal car where I met Aaliyah. Everyone else all went to their cars and she helped me with my dress.
“Thank you.” I said to the chauffeur as he opened the door for me. I got inside and took a deep breath. The chauffeur started the engine and we went to the Cathedral while the media chased us. My wedding was labeled as the most awaited wedding of the year. I didn’t want much spotlight originally but Shawn’s parents wanted it to be grand. So we both decided to just let it happen.
When I arrived at the church I was met with my older brother at the door waiting to walk me down the aisle. He was in a black tailored tux almost identical to Joe’s.
“You look beautiful.” My brother said as he greeted me and opened the door for me. He helped me out of the car and escorted me to the entrance. I thanked him with a smile because my nerves took me over and I simply just couldn’t speak.
When the time arrives for me to walk down the aisle my hands were shaking and my palms were sweaty. What was wrong with me? My nerves were attacking me. Was this even normal?
“Relax. Everything is going to be alright.” My brother said softly to me. We heard music begin to play and that was our signal to enter and walk down the aisle.
I gripped my bouquet tightly and linked arms with my brother. He murmured reassuring words to me to make me less nervous. Who wouldn’t be nervous when you are about to promise your life for a very long commitment. As we walked, guests stood up smiling in our direction. But my eyes we set on the love of my life. He looked so handsome standing tall and proud in his black tuxedo. He smiled at me and that had me so distracted I didn’t even realize we arrived at the altar.
I was getting married. This was no longer a dream. I broke myself out of my trance and looked as his parents shook my brother’s hand. My brother and Shawn nodded at each other as they shook hands.
“Take care of her.” My brother said to Shawn. He turned and kissed my cheek before walking to his seat. Shawn nodded again and offered his hand out to me. I accepted it and took some steps up until I was standing in front of him.
-
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride!” The priest announced and everyone clapped at his words while some men whistled.
“Finally.” Shawn whispered to me. He put his hands on my waist and pulled me up against him and kissed me tenderly. I was happy.
“I love you, my angel.” Shawn whispered as he pulled away looking me in the eyes. I admired the man in front of me, who I now can call my husband, before I spoke.
“I love you too, Shawn.” I replied softly. He kissed me again.
“Let us now welcomed, Mr. And Mrs. Mendes!” The priest announced and the crowd erupted into another round of applause and whistles again for us. Shawn proudly waved at everyone with a smile plastered on his face. He looked like he was on cloud nine. I smiled and waved my hand too mentally giggling at the sight oh Shawn.
“Making you Mrs. Mendes was the greatest decision I’ve ever made.”He whispered in my ear before kissing my cheek. I looked at him and took in everything. I felt happier than a little kid on Christmas morning. Nothing could top this feeling.
Well maybe one could..

*6 months later*
-
Oh shit. This is actually happening. I’m pregnant.
Shawn and I have been trying for a baby for a little bit. I knew it was bound to happen at some point but i didn’t expect it so soon.
I cannot wait to tell Shawn! He’s going to be so happy. He has had me take pregnancy tests every time I start to feel weird or even if he just thinks I should.
He tries to play it off like it doesn’t bother him when the test comes out negative but really, he gets so bummed out. Its actually kinda sad.
How should I tell him? I have the day off today but he had meetings till about 11:30 today. I have Aaliyah and Karen over right now with me because we had a girls day. I don’t wanna tell them first though. Shawn would literally kill me if he wasn’t the first to find out.
-
“Babe? Liyah? Mom?” I heard Shawn call out.
“In the kitchen, love.” I yelled so he could hear me.
I hopped of the counter and ran to meet him in the doorway. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. He instantly hugged me back and lifted me off the ground.
“Well if that wasn’t a welcome home then I don’t know what is.” He laughed as he kissed my lips gently.
“I have a surprise for you.” I said with a big grin on my face.
“A surprise?” He asked a smile rising on his face. I nodded excitedly and smiled as I kissed him again.
“After dinner though.” I patted his chest softly and turned around then walked back to the kitchen with Karen and Aaliyah.
-
Karen and Aaliyah left after dinner and it was just us two. I was laying on the couch with a book in my hands when Shawn came over to me. He took the book out of my hands and lied on top of me where his head was on my stomach.
My hands made their way to his damp curls. He closed his eyes and smiled.
“Tired?” I said as he nodded his head softly.
“Well we can go to bed after your surprise.” His head shot up at my words. I love him.
“I totally forgot about the surprise.” He said as he got off of me and pulled me up off the couch.
“Its in the room.” I spoke as I started walking in the direction to our bedroom. He followed, hot on my heels the entire way. I walked over to my side of the bed and got a small box that used to hold a bracelet I got for him. I handed it to him with a smile rising on my lips again.
“This is the same box that my bracelet was in that you got me for my birthday?” He said kind of confused.
“I just looked for a box, baby.” I said smile never leaving my face.
I watched his face closely as he opened it. Once he took in what was in front of him he looked up at me with a big smile on his face and a gorgeous sparkle in his eyes.
“Y-you’re pregnant?” He stuttered. He stared directly in my eyes as I nodded.
He threw the box on the bed and wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up. I was thrown in a giggling mess when he started spinning. He eventually stopped so we didn’t get to dizzy and he put my down but his hands traveled up to my face and kissed my repeatedly.
“Oh my god. You’re actually pregnant! Baby! YOU ARE PREGNANT!” He shouted with excitement. He was so fucking cute.
“I know! I know!” I squealed.
“We’ve been trying for what felt like forever and now its actually happening! You’re pregnant. Our baby is in there.” He said pointing at my stomach. I nodded again. He bent down and kissed my belly before speaking.
“Hi baby. I don’t know what you are you yet but I’m your daddy. I already love you so so so much.” He continued to ramble talking to the baby in my tummy.
Our family was just getting started. And I couldn’t be any happier than right now.
-
*Two years later*
-
Two years ago, Braxton Raul Mendes made his entrance into the world. I wasn’t surprised at how much Braxton looked like Shawn. It honestly made me adore him even more.
It was his 2nd birthday today so we had rented a water slide for kids. His theme was a Finding Nemo because that was just what he requested because he love that move. We even has a fish named Nemo.
“Braxy, you wanna go down the slide?” I asked him. Braxton giggled as he nodded. I started to make my way to him but I stopped as he got lifted up by his daddy and went to the slide with him.
“Mommy look!” Braxton yelled. I watched as Shawn somehow managed to fit his big figure in the little slide. As they went down it was a mixture of laughs coming from Shawn and Braxton.
“My boys are so adorable.” I cooed taking a picture of the two of them smiling and having fun.
Shawn stepped out of the little pool at the end of the slide and let Braxton go run and play with all of his friends. But instead as he stepped out he felt his sons hands wrap around his leg.
“Again, Again!” Braxton yelled. Of course Shawn obliged to his little boys needs. Shawn lifted him up and took him down the slide again. I watched as they did it a few more times while I talked to all of my other mom friends.
I got caught up in a conversation with them until Shawn walked over to me holding Braxtom in his arms. His head was rested on Shawn’s shoulder, face tucked into his neck.
“Someone’s tired.” Shawn whispered trying not to disturb his sleeping boy in his arms. I nodded with a smile and watched as Shawn started to walk away.
“I’ll be back.” Shawn spoke up as he walked into the house to put Braxton down for his nap. I got back into a conversation with my friends and Karen joined in.
Shawn came back out and wrapped his arm around my waist from behind.
“I love you.” He whispered in my ear, kissing my neck softly.
“I love you too babe.” I replied as I turned around in his embrace to face him.
“You know what else I love?” He said smiling.
“What?”
“I love our little family.”
“Me too.” I replied a smile rising on my face. I meant that too. I really did love out family. And I was excited to see it grow.
-
Everything happened so fast. I found out I was pregnant. I went to my first three doctors appointments. I even started picking out baby names with Karen, Aaliyah, and Shawn.
That was until everything came crashing down. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible stomach pains. And when I stood up I saw blood on the bed. Shawn and I rushed to the hospital and the doctor informed me that I was suffering a miscarriage.
Shawn was in the bed holding me as we both just cried together. The tears just kept coming. My whole heart was empty and broken. It felt like my whole world was ripped away from me in a second.
“You’re ready to leave now, Mrs. Mendes.” The doctor said as he handed Shawn the release papers and then walked out.
Shawn got off the bed and offered me a hand to hold but I couldn’t bring myself to move. Shawn instantly caught onto that and he lifted my off the bed and carried me out to the car.
The ride home was silent. Shawn had his hand planted on my leg rubbing it gently with his thumb the whole way. He didn’t fully understand what she was feeling but he knew her well enough to know she was hurting.
Thank god Braxton was with Aaliyah because honestly I didn’t want him to see me like this. He was such a mommy’s boy. And anytime I was upset he broke down into tears. It was so bad.
When we arrived home, Shawn came to the passenger side of his jeep and he got me out of the car and carried me inside the house. He put me down on the couch and went into our bedroom to change the sheets around.
While he was in the it was almost like a whole new wave of emotions struck me and I broke all over again. Shawn heard me almost instantly and came running to me. He was by my side and his arms were around me almost instantly.
“It just wasn’t time, angel. We have so much more time to try again.” Shawn whispered, almost like he was afraid to speak.
“I love you.” I managed to get out as I curled myself into his embrace and continued to sob into his chest.
“I love you too, babygirl.” He said kissing the top of head.
I know he didn’t quite understand what I was feeling in this moment but he had to be in so much pain too. Yet here he was holding me while I cried. My heart almost broke at the thought of that.
I picked my head up and looked at his face and took in everything. I studied it but his expression was almost unreadable. All I could see was the pain in his eyes.
“Baby..” I whispered as I saw his eyes tear up when they met mine.
“Its okay, angel. I’m okay. Life just decided that it wasn’t our time.” He said with tears falling from his eyes. I don’t understand how he’s being so strong right now. My hands held his face and I kissed him.
This kiss felt so different from the rest. It held so much emotion and desire in it. I pulled away and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“We are gonna get through this together.” I mumbled softly. He nodded and kissed me again.
My heart was so empty and so broken but I had everything I have and will ever need in life in front me in that moment. And that gave me so much hope.
-
Panic set through my veins. Multiple doctors were asking me multiple questions at once. It was so overwhelming. And considering Shawn wasn’t here I was even more on edge.
Shawn had a big important meeting this morning and I knew he couldn’t cancel it. So I have Karen here with me until Shawn can get here.
I’m at a fertility doctor. A while after the miscarriage, I’ve been having pains everywhere, I felt tired constantly, weak, and just so much more. Shawn and I decided that the safest route to take wa to get everything checked out. We didn’t want to risk anything.
After so many tests and so many questions, the doctor came in.
“Mrs. Mendes. We have your test results back,” She paused and I nodded slowly.
“I don’t know how to put this, you have fibroids and with your consent, we would like to take you into operation to remove it. But it would mean that you will not be able to get pregnant in the future.” She explained. I felt everything come crashing down again. How was I supposed to tell Shawn?
“Will it cause me any harm if I don’t agree?” I asked with tears flooding my eyes. Karen grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently.
“Its a tumor sitting of your uterus wall, Mrs. Mendes, Its honestly hard to say.” She admitted to me. I couldn’t think straight. I need Shawn. I need him right now. I can’t go through this without him.
Karen somehow got me to calm down and helped me with everything. Shawn met us at the hospital where I was going to have my procedure done. He held my hand the whole way and reassured me that everything was going to be okay.
-
Some time after my surgery. I was at home in bed and Shawn was there with me. Karen took Braxton for the weekend to give us some time to cope.
I had been doing well but today had me really down. Shawn was laying beside me and I just broke into tears.
“Angel? What’s wrong? Talk to me.” He spoke up immediately panicking that something was going wrong with me.
“I can’t give you anymore kids. I can’t give you your little girl. I’m so sorry.” I broke out in between sobs. Shawn instantly pulled me up onto his laps carefully and held me close. Shawn knew that already. He already had the idea that they could adopt. He was already planning out what the future would be like from here. But he also knew that I was in a different mindset than he was.
“Angel. Look at me,” He said as he looked me in the eyes.
“Another baby or not. I will love you until the day I die. Do you hear me? Until the day comes that I stop breathing I will continue to love you. I will always be here for you. Always. Don’t ever doubt that. You and Brax are all I need in life.” He explained. I nodded not having any words.
My lips met his and I knew that my life was complete. Broken or not, I was complete. And I couldn’t have wished for anything more in life.
-
*A year later*
-
Its just Shawn, me, and Braxton. We decided to just let it be us. We didn’t want to expand or anything. We just left it as it was because this was really all we needed. Braxton was now 4 almost 5 and he was really getting so big. He’s slowly becoming more of a daddy’s boy and Shawn loves it.
I was happier than ever with what I had in life. For a long time I was sad and broken. I was so empty. But Shawn kept me going. He helped me get through that time. He helped me where I am now. I couldn’t have done it without him.
Shawn’s family was a big help too. They took Braxton all the time. Manny was his best friend. Braxton adored him. I couldn’t have gotten through that time without them either.
But at the end of every day. Shawn and Braxton were my main focus. They were my world. I didn’t wanna ever live a life without them.
I couldn’t have wished for anything more in life at this moment. I had everything I could have ever needed right now.
“I love you Shawn. And I love you Braxy.” I said watching both of my boys playing in the backyard.
“I love you more, mommy!” Braxton yelled running around giggling to get away from Shawn.
“Yeah! I love you most, mommy!” Shawn said catching Braxton in his arms and ticking him until he was a giggling mess.
Watching the two of the made my love grow even more. I had everything I have ever wanted. A loving husband and little boy.
My life was actually complete.

PIDGANCE MONTH DAY 2
HOLY QUIZNACK, GUYS. THE LAST POST GOT OVER 50 NOTES AND IT WAS UTTERLY SHOCKING. I never expected the fic to be so well-accepted by you, guys, thank you so much!
Although I said I may not be able to contribute every day because I lack the time, I guess it still doesn't stop me from trying. After all, I rarely ship characters in everything I watch but once I do, I ship hard.
Plance/Pidgance had me hooked bigtime.
Also, I think I'm supposed to tag a specific tag, and I'd be happy to! I love your notes, people! Also, it seems 'pidgance' is more commonly used than 'plance' or was it just me?
So, this may not be as satisfactory as before, but *sniffle* I tried.
Happy reading!
Day 2: Together
--------------- o
They are so weird together
At least, that was what Matt thought. It was like seeing a cat and dog as human beings, and he remembered watching a video of dogs annoying cats while the little felines were trying to scratch the pups – well, trying. They were declawed. And so was Pidge.
“But, seriously, dude. We should totally do the arms thing! Every superhero does the thing.” Lance's hands were placed firmly on Pidge's little shoulders as he went behind her with a rather exaggerated smile on his face. Matt cocked his head to the side and squinted as he watched the pair across the table, sipping his space coffee while noting down his observations.
Lance was a good guy, albeit too excited and somewhat loud. Matt didn't really have any reason to dislike him and Lance didn't do anything to hurt him. Maybe except when it comes to Allura.
Lance likes Allura. Huh.
“Exactly what is the 'arms thing'? I mean, Voltron automatically poses whenever we go in formation. Every. Single. Time.” The girl remarked, and Matt almost spit out his coffee.
Voltron poses?
While spitting out his coffee seemed like a bad thing, Matt's eyes hovered over the sight of Lance's hands still on Pidge's shoulders, fingers dangerously close to her collarbone, and holy quiznack, does he have long fingers. He felt his grip tighten on the mug and realized that he'd choose spitting coffee over breaking mugs anytime.
Pidge moved her shoulders, causing Lance's grip to loosen until his hands fell to the sides of her arms. Matt tried to convince himself that it was involuntary movement. His hands just fell. That was just it. Matt brought the mug to his lips once again, taking a sip. Did Hunk just improvise cinnamon? There was a tingly sensation in the drink, and boy, did it smell relaxing.
“We're both the arms of Voltron now, come on, Pidgey, you know what I'm talking about! We read comics in my room back at the Garrison together!”
Matt spit out his coffee.
And to his horror, the pair was staring at him as he coughed. Abort mission. Abort mission.
“Wrong throat?” Lance commented.
“Uh, you mean trachea?” Pidge corrected.
And when Matt looked at them, he swore he saw Lance squeeze her arms in a non-violent way. Dare he not say it, but it was an affectionate squeeze.
Matt accidentally broke the mug.
-------------- o --------------- o
To test a theory, experiments had to be done and variables need to be established. These were simple rules that every scientist must know and must do. All of it was to prove a theory and probably get rich and famous, considering the world would actually believe your statement. In simple research, you may only have two things to prove. The actual hypothesis or the null hypothesis.
To Matt, it was the latter.
Ho = That there isn't anything going on between Lance and his baby sister.
And Matt was the independent variable. All he needed was to interfere with the situation, and gather results. That was easy. No one will get hurt, and everything will be just fine.
The training room was larger than anticipated, Matt was sure he still needed glasses to be able to see to the farthest corner of the room. He stood in the observing deck with Coran, looking down below at the four Paladins positioned in a circle.
Man, Allura looked so beautiful in her Paladin suit. He felt a blush creep up to his face.
“Ready, Paladins? Training commence!” Coran announced, pulling down a lever. Not long after, complaints were heard over the comms, but Coran seemed unfazed.
“CORAN! WHAT THE HECK?” Lance.
“Hey, I can't see! OW!” Pidge. Matt's eyes narrowed as he watched them below, Allura accidentally bumping Pidge with her elbow.
“Apologies, Pidge.” Allura spoke, her voice amazingly calm. “This is a test of senses. We must be able to rely on our instincts to pass the challenge.”
Matt smirked. This was going to be interesting. Not to mention, the ship's technology was outstanding. It caused Matt's smirk to settle into a genuine smile, remembering how excited his sister was while showing him around, and the total mess which is her room. Yeah, her room was definitely filled with junk.
“Woah, woah, woah, wait. Who was that? Was that the gladi—AH!” Hunk's panicked tone invaded the comms, and Matt blinked as the big man fell on his bum as the gladiator swiped under his feet. This caused him to bump into Lance, who dropped his bayard from the impact.
The door behind Matt opened, catching his attention despite the comms being raided by countless screams and complaints. He turned to see his old friend entering the room to watch the younger paladins in training. “Why aren't you out there?” Matt held out a hand to Shiro, who firmly shook it in return.
“Went on patrol in search of nearby Galra ships.” Shiro simply answered, smiling at the silly sight at the training deck. Pidge was getting quick in her reflexes, swinging her bayard around so she could move around the room with ease. “Besides, these kids don’t always need me. They're tougher than you think.”
Matt wondered about that. He could see his sister using her brains while fighting, and it was a fantastic improvement. The Katie he knew didn't even know how to ride a bicycle to school, more or less, even flunked out of the ballet classes their mother signed her up for.
She had definitely grown.
And Matt wasn't sure if he was happy. Sure, he was proud of how badass his sister has become after accepting her fate as the Green Paladin, but for her to grow up means new things for her to overcome and feel.
Such as when she threw her bayard in the wrong direction, accidentally colliding with the gladiator's staff with her feet. “Pidge, look out!” He couldn't help but yell, when Pidge's quick thinking caused her to kick at the staff, sending her flying backwards.
And straight into Lance.
Uh-huh.
Matt moved towards the controls, earning a puzzled look from Coran. Before the Altean could say anything, Matt had pushed a button, to which Coran quickly protested. “Now, wait a minute there! You just activated the Geyser Mines!” Coran frantically fiddled with the controls, pushing Matt aside.
“HEY, CORAN, WHAT--" Lance was the first to react, jumping just in time when a surge of water burst from the floor. He pulled Pidge closer, and Matt felt his eye twitch.
“Coran, this isn't part of our regime! Turn the mines down now!” Allura barely made it from two geysers surrounding her on the sides. Matt swallowed.
“Okay, guys! Is the castle still haunted? Because I'm starting to have second thoughts here.” Hunk was running around in circles. Matt hesitated to turn around because he was pretty damn sure that Shiro was staring at him now.
“I-It wasn't me!” Coran shouted back, his fingers sliding off the controls in panic. Matt whistled.
Okay, sure they were in a room where they can't see anything at the moment, and a killer gladiator roaming around somewhere with them, and also, splashes of hot water that chase movement. How bad could it be?
That was when Matt looked down, and knew it was bad.
“Paladins, don't move. These are geyser mines. They track movement like regular ones.” Allura explained as she ceased to move from her spot. Matt didn't even mind what she said, utterly distracted by the sight of the two other Paladins a few meters away from her.
Lance and Pidge were clinging to each other for dear life.
Okay, this was normal. They were just scared of moving.
“Alright, Paladins. Geysers are off. You can move now.” Coran spoke, glancing briefly at Matt. The latter finally turned his head sideways to see Shiro still staring at him questionably. This was going to be a long day.
---------------- o -------------- o
The last thing Matt wanted to see when he entered the lounge was Lance and Pidge talking to a cow.
“Were you lonely, girl? Sorry we took a while to take you around the castle.” The little sister gently rubbed the bovine's muzzle, while the animal lovingly responded.
“Don't worry, sweetheart, we'll go buy some snacks for you when we get back to the Space Mall.” Lance was even more endearing to the cow. But maybe it was just their thing. Lance was the sweet dog, while Pidge was still learning to love.
A hand on Matt's shoulder snapped him back to his senses. “I get that you're worried.” Shiro's reassuring voice slightly calmed him down, but neither looked at each other. They were enthralled by the heart-warming sight before them – Pidge petting Kaltenecker, while Lance chuckled. “But even if there's something or nothing between them, just know that they will always protect each other.”
“I know.” Matt spoke, not realizing how different his voice sounded. It was calm and quiet, and he didn't feel the need to launch Lance into space with nothing but his boxers on. “Maybe I'm just not used to seeing her with people who aren't relatives. She didn't have any friends before. She was always hurt in some way.”
Shiro lifted his hand from Matt's shoulder, his chest rumbling from a silent laugh. “Well, she has them now.”
“Yeah. She has him.”
Shiro wondered if Matt misheard 'them' for 'him', but he chose not to comment on that anymore.
-------------------- o ----------------- o
They are so weird together.
At least that was Matt thought. When Lance cracks a joke, and Pidge rolls her eyes, it was a weird kind of friendship considering they go at the same scenario every day. And Pidge would hit him playfully because she was a declawed cat, while Lance would nudge her softly. Matt sipped his coffee.
And Pidge looks at Lance as if he was lost sunshine in outer space; like a fresh morning of dewdrops and singing birds back in her old bedroom. And Pidge was never a morning person to begin with. But one look at Lance and she decided that mornings aren't so bad, after all.
Matt smiled when he catches his sister looking at him that way once again, as Lance argued with Coran over which the best missions that were accomplished by their team were. Matt’s eyes followed Lance as he sat beside her, her fingers paused from typing while her eyes gazed upon the very first person outside her family who ever wanted to know her better.
Lance notices, and so did Matt.
Lance looked behind him in a confused manner, then back at Pidge. “Are you looking at something?”
And she didn't flinch nor tear her eyes away when she answers.
“You.”
