'we could've helped [maddy]' and 'you know who killed laura? we did' like the deep crawling realization that it was ignorance - purposeful ignorance, looking away from it all - that killed laura and maddy. not stopping it and then, even further, letting leland go after he kills jacque, allowing him to later kill maddy. and its sooo. its sooo. theres a deep evil in twin peaks and they ignore it or the pretend to keep it in check all while it spirals out further and further and further and devours everyone whole.

#do i need to tag spoilers. this show is like 25 years old.#rewatched a few scenes from the earlier episodes last night and um the bookhouse boys dont do shit!#also everyone is fighting the investigation every step of the way with all their damn secrets and the only ones who seem to be horrified by #it all are albert (trying his hardest to get the autopsy) and bobby (funeral scene)#AND BOBBY....... after finishing the secret diary i have so much sad fondness for bobby.#ALSO THE SECOND COOPERS LIKE YEAH BENS GONNA BE CHARGED LELANDS LIKE OKAY LETS PROCEED WITH THE BAIL.
