Thinking about when I first came out as Perseus (Percy for my irls) to my at the time long term gf and she - a week later - sat me down and made me watch epithet erased just to introduce me to Percy King, a white blonde cis cop lady often mistaken for a man but takes it in stride while having the same haircut as i did at the time and i think that's when i had one foot out the door on that relationship

#don't get me wrong Percy King is literally one of my favorite epithet erased characters next to Ramsey and Giovanni #but what i did NOT need after i had just come out was to be shown a CIS WOMAN with my same NAME and LOOK who was also a COP #it actually took me months to finish epithet erased because looking at Percy made me dysphoric and my ex gf just didn't get it?#even though she is also trans??#idk there's a pokemon character with her name so she got to live vicariously through that but there's only like two characters with my name #wild shit
