a lot of people in the vocaloid fandom are just reactionary about AI. I mean since forever they've lost their minds over vocaloid piracy. literally any use of AI at all = bad somehow. I don't think they actually understand what being a communist is because that is not the viewpoint I've seen most communists online have toward AI.. an extremely basic tenant of communism is the abolishment of private property and therefore copyright law. it's only a problem now because of the profit incentive under capitalism. and.. communism is a political philosophy, not doing whatever a certain community of people collectively agree is moral or ethical.

I agree with you about that video and why it was a creative use of AI. sorry I just wanted to say something because I love there's a fellow communist hatsune miku lover on this website. keep being awesome comrade

Hell yeah thank you for sending this and making me feel sane. You really put into words what I was wanting to say to these people.

I did get the "wtf you're a commie and you're posting AI?" reaction more than once and like, it genuinely baffled me how someone would think those two things are somehow incompatible. I'm still kind of a poser communist because I haven't read any marx let alone other writers, but I'm pretty sure you could color a strong argument about why AI art is actually super in line with communism and could be a really great tool in a communist society.
