Sieun had done it. He'd gotten past all the bullying and the hardships and decided to throw away his past in Byuksan Middle School and Eunjang High School. He'd gotten into Seoul National University with a special scholarship given to the top 1% of the entire student body, taking the examinations in each region.

Sieun was used to being the only student who focused on his work and got good grades. University came as a shock to him as he stood in front of the noticeboard, the glass the only thing standing between him and the piece of paper. He wasn't first. He wasn't second either. He was in tenth place for the freshmens diagnostics test. Sieun couldn't believe it, as he turned to walk away from the crowd of students trying to find their names on the lower ranks. The Yeon Sieun had gotten tenth place in a test. The last time that happened, it wasn't pleasant. The name above his wasn't an unknown one. He had heard your name back when he was in high school, at cram school. He had never crossed paths with you, so he had never seen the use in interacting with you.

The boy could feel the sweat sticking his hair to his forehead. The students in Seoul National University were no joke, and it didn't take a genius to realise that. Every student had notebooks, textbooks, and most importantly, coffee. Sieun had never liked coffee, but feeling the lack of sleep every day caused him to become a crippling caffein addict.

No matter what he did, it seemed like one name could not leave his side (on results slip, of course). If Sieun was in nineteenth place，she would be in eighteenth place. If he was third, she was second. If he was sixth, she'd be fifth. It seemed as if they were binded together through the world of academics, and that caught Sieun's attention.

"The concept of biochemistry isn't something hard, everyone. Now, let's go onto sample questions," The professor spoke as the sound of pages flipping echoed throughout the lecture hall. Sieun flipped open his practice book as he read the question, his eyes widening slightly as he read the question. It definitely wasn't something easy.

"Which of the following are included in the types of glycolipids? N-acetylgalactosamine, N-acetylglucosamine, Xylose, or Cerebrosides?" The professor asked as he switched the slideshow to a practice question from the practice book.

The lecture hall was practically silent as students opened their guide books, worried as they realised that their confusion could lead to their downfall in their first year of university.

One hand was raised as Sieun turned to look at the girl who had her hand raised on the other side of the auditorium. She sat up straight as her hand was in the air confidently. She had a small smile on her face as she waited for the professor to call on her.

"Ah, one of our top students! y/n, what do you think the answer is?" The professor called out to the girl as she lowered her hand and spoke.

"Cerebrosides, they are a group of glycosphingolipids, which are the subgroup of glycolipids." The girl answered as the professor clicked on the slideshow to reveal the answer to indeed be Cerebrosides.

Sieun scribbled your name on the top right corner of the page as he rested his cheek on his palm, looking at the writing as he sighed to himself.

That was the first time you caught his eye. It wasn't something he could suppress for long. Sieun caught himself sneaking as many glances at you as he could without getting caught. He'd pretend to cough, just so he could turn in your direction to look at you or take a different route just to see you leaving the hall to the library.

You were always at the library. Similarly to the other students, you would mug till the late hours of the night.

You had your head on the table as you heard a light thud next to you, making you turn to the right to see a cup of coffee on the desk. You sat up straight to see Sieun sitting at the seat next to you, his lips in a thin line but his eyes betrayed him as he watched you, curious to see your reaction.

"Is this... for me?" You asked the doe-eyed boy as he nodded, turning to his books but his attention still on you.

"You seem tired today. You didn't get your usual coffee so I got it for you," Sieun said as you felt a pink hue engulf your cheeks as you looked away from the boy, coughing softly as you whispered with a smile, "Thank you".

That was the first time he felt his heart jump. Screw that, maybe free fall off a cliff? That feeling had him sitting at his desk at home, hand on his chest as he smiled to himself, giggling like a high school lover.

Sieun used every brain cell he had available from that day onwards to have a reason to talk to you. He'd drop his book, and you'd appear from around the corner, crouching down to help him pick it up. He'd buy you coffee every few weeks to the point that it becomes a routine.

"Yeon Sieun, second place." Sieun had grown accustomed to never being in first place. Instead, a smile grew on his face as he saw the name in first place, it was you. Sieun waited under the shade as he saw you and your group of friends at the noticeboard, reading the results as you turned away from the crowd and jumped up and down, excitement emitting from you.

"First! First again! It all paid off! Entering summer break on the best note ever!" You yelled as Sieun felt his cheeks hurting from how hard he was smiling at your antics.

"Sieun! Good to see you," you greeted the boy as you pulled out the chair to take a seat next to him in the library. Sieun gave you a small smile as you took out your books, placing them onto the desk as you began mindlessly mugging through the night.

Sieun raised his arms as he stretched, hearing a click from his shoulders as he turned to check on you, seeing your head on the table as you slept.

Sieun packed his stuff as he tapped you on the shoulder, making you jolt awake from your sleep.

"Sieun...?" you mumbled as sieun picked up the books from under your arms，packing them into your bag as he put your bag on his shoulder, surprising you.

"You seem very sleepy, I'll send you home. Don't go home so late next time, and don't stay up too late. You're getting eyebags and...you'll make me worried, " Sieun said as you got up and pushed the chair into the table, following him as you both walked to the bus stop.

There was an awkward silence until you decided to ask him a question, "Sieun, why did you start talking to me? I mean, it's not strange, seeing as we're taking the same course...".

Sieun stopped in his tracks as he calculated in his head the chances of you rejecting him at that moment. 33.3 in a 100.

"It's because I like you." Sieun admitted as if it was a passing comment. You turned to look at him, eyes wide as you tilted your head in confusion.

"You're serious? You actually like me?" You ask him, trying to find a hint of humour in his voice, but his voice was anything but humorous.

"I can't see a day in my life without you from now on. Will you give me the honour of being the one by your side till the end?" Sieun asked as you couldn't help but look into his eyes that seemed to hold every inch of the universe in them.

That was the day that Sieun was no longer alone in his life.

Every day seemed to be filled with you. He'd pick you up from your apartment and cook you breakfast, sit with you in the lecture hall, buy you your coffee, go out for dinner, and finally, send you home safely.

Sieun would help you prepare for practical examinations while you helped him prepare for theoretical examinations, the both of you were the most envied CC.

I'm curious, in your totk rewrite, would the final fight with Ganondorf be the same, or would you do something entirely different?

somewhat, this is a bit of a different take on ganondorf though, it makes more sense in context of his changed ... or added rather, backstory;

you fight him once before, not a phantom like in canon but him physically, were hes still trying to cope with the horros he had lived through being half awake for such a long time so he isnt much for talking, at the end of it he has like a breakdown that essentially causes cataclysm 2.0 (that might even open up new caves that were previously just cracks in walls too) and which spawns the miasma/memory trees that contain his memories, all of which you need to collect to unlock the ending-

structurally the final fight is similar:

theres a horde of enemies you fight all together and the sages get taken away once you reach ganondorf; when you find him hes all calm and collected but does not allow zelda to talk to him despite her understanding how it had come to all of this and her wishing for a different solution; the fight begins but over time as he loses HP he start to act differently, less calculating and like he is in control and more and more aggresively, and more jumpy like he is afraid of something

phase two he gets too cornered and activates his enigma stone + the sages rejoin you, he is visibly just trying to put an end to you using everything he has to offer, phase two of phase two, he loses it and changes into a beast form (a miasma version of the best forms we know basically, i made a sketch of it once but it was only a rly early concept; i need to put more boar features on that

(unsure whether i want this to be his engima stone active version or the actual beast one) after he changes into beast form he charges at link and zelda and essentially burrows through the earth with them, breaking through the surface in the hyrule plains where the dark beast ganon fight happened in botw, here you fight him in the open, any weathher and time of day can happen here so its a much more diverese vibe each time; he is very fast in this form, if you are familiar with bloodborne im thinking of something akin to the first phase of ludwigs fight but a little more coordinated

this fight ends with zelda telling you to shoot at her so she uses her shielding powers (sth she can also do in the game itself) to reflect your arrow in a certain angle (reference to how ww zelda shoots an arrow you need to deflect in order to defeat gan but in reverse), it hits the ornament keeping the enigma stone in place from the side and it flings off

the battle seemingly ends with beast ganon falling to the ground, zelda tries to run and take it away but gan is still awake and sees in her how sonia sealed him way back, so in a last ditch effort to avoid the fate he had just escaped (despite zelda not wanting to do any of that) lunges for the stone and swallows it

he transforms into a dragon snatching up the both of you and flying high into the sky, zelda can wriggle free but falls and while she could land safely with her paraglider gan is flying off with link so she makes a last moment decision to take in her enigma stone as well, she transforms, rams into gan to free link and a somwhat similar fight as in canon happens, though i would like zelda to be more openly agressive towards dragon-gan

sicne in this version gan doesnt have his stone on the forehead somehow but inside like you would expect you need to fly into his mouth to end the fight, assuming you have found the lab that held the moonbloom (perhaps kogas so tie him nicely into it all) needed for the reverse dragon medicine (bc i wanted to involve links passion for cooking somewhat i thought it would be cool if he takes the chrage on that to make that special dish), you now use it, causing gan to spit out his stone and reversing (still unsure whether he survives this or not, but i thought of the scene from spirited away when chihiro gives haku the lil herb thingy to make him spit out whats killing him when i was coming up with this) zelda catches you again and you use the second charge on her to reverse her as well, boom you got your epic falling scene, the sages also now have made their way up through the tunnel, perhaps they catch gan too

this is a super rough current concept for it, it might all change still so dont take this as the final version, still working on it all after all

I think part of the thing with the fourth doctor & master dynamic is like. unfortunately tom baker is very heterosexual, at least - and no offence to 4harry shippers or anything but he mostly radiates endless enthusiasm for Women. and obviously the show was not in a place for A Female Master yet. which is a shame because theoretically- you'd have to catch him on the right day where he isnt v busy w some divorce or another but Theoretically the fourth doctor would LOVEEEE looney tunes violence as sex. youre gonna hit me with hammers? yay yippee :D type man. they could have rly had something special

4/8/2024 eclipse notes

Overall it was a hopeful day for me despite the ever-looming sense of mourning. but the eclipse made it feel special. this eclipse was so mathematically rare because of the exact EXACT chiron conjunction. down to the minute. never experienced something so precise in my 15 yrs observing astrology.. i lit a candle for sammy & spent a while praying then did yoga n journalled outside as the eclipse waned. u couldnt see the full thing here but i saw a little ^.^

i've talked about chiron on the blog b4 but if ur not sure basically it's a major asteroid named after chiron the centaur, "The Wounded Healer". i feel that nickname sums up wat chiron's about, it's your deepest pain, isolation, rejection, & it's where your greatest potential to heal others (+yourself) can be brought forth. so chiron was turbo-activated today. it's digging up a lot of sh** for me truly. like this is rly crazy. but what i realized today is that i'm in the best place i've ever been to grieve, that was my eclipse revelation i spose.

they're the most popular places for tourists imo

there are some cool museums in içeri şəhər and a couple of good restaurants (at least imo)

in targovu i generally like going to a alt shop in Xaqani ticarət mərkəzi,,, its on the top floor but u may struggle a bit while trying to find it

on the first floor of xagani theres also like a vinyl shop,zz i bought a danger days vinyl from there last year for 100 manats,,, which is definitely a bit expensive but ehh

in sahil ofc theres deniz mall,zz nothing special there except the laser tag place and also indoor karting

im pretty sure theres like a outdoor karting grid somewhere in sahil too

maybe its bcuz ive been living here for like 5 years but imo there isnt many interesting stuff

if you're willing to travel a bit (max 2 hours) u can also go to gobustan which has cave drawings or whatever,, its pretty cool

if ure looking for entertainment id recommend going to portal games which is just escape rooms but theyre pretty fun with friends

The first night i worked barback it was like 1145 and we were dead and so we started preclosing and shit but literally as we started we got hit w a huge rush of dumbass frat kids who all ordered "the cheapest beer we had" or like tequila shots and wld tip like 1 dollar if we were lucky and they proceeded to just fuck around and play pool for an hour without ordering much else. And u know this isnt rly like out of the realm of possibility, its a college bar more or less and its sorta past all the bars on the main strip of the area. So ppl will filter down here at the end of the night and thats when shit can get kinda fucked and annoyingggg cuz theyre so fuckin loud and entitled and annoying as previously stated. Also it was crazy bc if u moved from the back of the bar to the front there was just a wall of fartsmell from these kids it was just so wack. I shld also mention that when i say kids theyre all over 21 and like my age and shit but theyre just like stupid and inexperienced and always make me feel like im old as fuck in comparison but u dont have 2 feel bad that im like infantilizing them or anything cuz theyre all lil rich boys and shit and im just a little worker.

So anyways the frat rush wore on and the bartender had me go around and do last call and like. I dont think kids these days rly get the concept of last call or maybe frat kids r just so fucking entitled they think theyll always get special privelege but literally these ppl will come up like 20 mins after u call last call amd be like pweeeease can i have another shot pwease and like the bartender kept sorta hedging it and not rly enforcing last call very well but whatever, it made it hard when we made our third and final last call bc all these guys thought thwy cld try some shit and when we finally didnt serve them they just got super indignant and loudly plotted our murders and sayin shit like they were gonna wait for us outside but ofc they didnt bc like at the end of the day drunk ppl say all sorts of shit they dont mean at all and like frat kids round here arent gonna follow thru on that shit. So they start filtering out.

10 minutes before we close this like group of kids in suits come down and theyre like pweeeease can wr play pool we just wanna play pool for 15 minutes we promise we wont order anything and leave after 15 mins. And in my head im like why do u think thats a selling point. And they were like we wont order anything and tip u 10 bucks if we can stay and i was like nah we're gonna close like i wanna go home and shit sorry man. And they were like well can we use ur bathroom at least and i was like sure whatever and then they started whispering shiftily and i was like ughhhh fucks sake and sure enough they go back and the bartender walks back there and theyre tryna break the damn paper towel dispenser off the wall cuz these dudes r so fuckin incensed that we wont serve them while we're trying 2 fucking heard all these kids out so we can close.

-ive already said this before but i very much go w the interpretation their mind worked like the fermi paradox dark forest theory:theyre extremely paranoid of any other life forms and they see them as nothing but threats to their survival, so they exterminate whole planets therefore conquering them, the good in them was essentially overshadowed by their severe self preservation urges, their failed attack on the forgotten planet and resulting consequences also served as cementing their paranoia that other species are inherently dangerous

-their origins are completely unclear to them and theyve never met another of their own species, they simply came to be one day, tbh growing up as a planet warping alien without anyone to give you an idea of what a moral compass is and whos dangerous and whos not is probably the root cause of them growing terrified of everything and seeing everyone as threats and deciding that means everyone has to die before they can even think of hurting them

-elfilis personality is weird in my view? theyre on a weird line between conscious and having no self awareness, specially when attacking, if actually given a standard healthy environment to fully form it in theyd probably be a bit similar to a (tad mean) child mindset for a while, that did however not happen so their mind ended up splitting in two because it couldnt handle it together anymore after the lab experiments (ayy i found a way to work more plural metaphors into the split), ig in a way you could see forgo and elfilin as the two ways elfilis could have resulted, one grew up in the lab surrounded by people who saw them as a test subject and entertainment source w elfilis memories and the other actually got to bond with others and be treated well

-they did however when lucid (for lack of a better term) (i mean i already headcanon forgo as psychotic so lizzie probably was too) have a bit of an ego issue with being overly confident in how many successful invasions they had done, those were very much power and safety fantasies to them at times

-they can communicate normally w full sentences! thats a forgo exclusive issue having to do w its brain mal forming from the eternity capsule screwing with its reformation and growth from the elfilis goop

-their "species" (its just them theyre the species) are immortal and fully asexual and aromantic, i think their thoughts on gender and pronouns would range from the "we use he/him for him but he doesnt really care" meme to "stop perceiving me i am going to kill you."

-the accident with them was kinda like if you put a hamster in the microwave but instead of exploding it melts into goo.and the result was also their whole ass identity split into two new ones.

-this isnt rly a lis headcanon but i just wanted to bring it up to explain the previous point:the way i see the entire "oops we split in half" accident is their body melted and split, elfilin spent most of that time after escaping as unconscious goop that very slowly throughout the years after the planets population ascended into the stars formed into the the child version of elfilis again, forgo is a deformed overgrown fetus because they tried rushing their body stability with the tube fluids, which instead trapped them as immediately conscious in stasis while their body was stuck expanding the fetus form and not becoming solid at all (i actually see that the reason its right ear is losing shape is because theyve begun straight up deteriorating from being in the tube fluids for over a century by that point)

-a consequence of going w the interpretation forgo and elfilis are separate is theres not much to say abt them bc theyre essentially a character exclusive to the games backstory since their identity died after splitting into two.i miss them </3
