-He bought Weekly Young Jump issue 46/2021 and thought it was hard to read Choujin X in hardcopy since he drew it with people reading it on pc in mind.

-He asked if people like reading coloured manga, like webtoon & American comics. He’s interested in coloured manga lately. Some said they like coloured version, while some prefer black & white.

-Coloured version is probably more expensive than black & white version. Itaewon class has almost 300 pages and costs around 1300 yen ($11.45), so it’s around twice the price of a manga volume. (t/n: I’m not sure if $11.45 is the price per chapter or the whole webtoon.)

-He’s still salty over the fact that they changed Itaewon to Roppongi in certain apps.

-He said it’s hard to read American comics since they are in colours. It’s probably because Japanese are used to monochrome version.

-A lot said it’s easier to understand what’s going on with colours as compared to black & white.

-He said there’s not much difference between drawing manga in colour & in -monochrome.

-He thinks for a coloured manga, having a quality like Itaewon Class webtoon would be good enough. A simple colouring rather than a complex one.

-With colour, it’s easier to differentiate characters by their hair colours. It’s hard to do that in monochrome.

-The fee he gets from magazine is considered as a revenue from advertising since magazine is a part of advertisement.

-Ishida doesn’t put ads on his videos. However, one of his previous video had ads by default. Since JJ ost was playing in the video, he got a warning from Youtube.

-His favourite onigiri is plum onigiri.

-He played a dating sim game called boyfriend dungeon, where your partner can turn into a weapon. There’s some suggestive contents in the game. He’s thinking of streaming it. The characters in the game were too flirty. He’d feel weird if the character he’s playing as was a guy instead of a woman.

-He recommends people to listen to Saito Naoki’s Concentration.

-The song he played was called My Own Road. It’s a song a fan had to sing for a choir competition, I think.

-Both the song and Concentration kinda about the same thing, finding your path and having courage.

-He said people must like songs that lift their spirits up.

-He couldn’t believe that he has fans in America. He loves America.

-Ishida Sui jokingly called his viewers wierdos because it seems like they’re happy enough with the fact that Ishida streams. He jokingly said that he didn’t have to draw manga anymore. He could just be a streamer.

-He started digital drawing since TG chapter 1. Before that, it was all analog. He changed to digital because he’s afraid accidents would happen when posting the manuscript since he’s from Fukuoka. He also didn’t need to rush before the deadline.

-He was busy when he had deadlines every week, but he did get to hang out with his staffs at that time.

-Someone commented that it must be hard to reach weekly deadlines. Ishida said you can get accustomed to this, but it’ll be pretty tough when you miss the deadline once. However, he thinks it’s easier to draw when you have deadlines.

-He got a lot of offers from people to draw illustrations for them, but he pretty much refused them. He only does the ones he wants.

-He did illustrations for Musical Touken Ranbu playbooks because he was indebted to the person who wrote the screenplay during TG. They became close after that.

-For Ishida, he prefers to have reliable people as his assistants than the ones who are good at drawing. He cares more about the person’s personality rather than their drawing skill.

-Goubaru was very decent in the beginning, so Ishida hired him immediately.

-He started looking for an assistant. It’d be great if he could find an assistant to help him occasionally.

-There were times when Ishida ordered his staffs to work from home so he could concentrate.

-Choujin X volumes would probably release later than Japan in America.

-He followed back Kojima Rurika, a gravure idol and a sportscaster that followed him on twitter. He wanted to see what would happen if he followed her back.

-He changed his icon from Ely to Tokio because he didn’t like Ely’s expression. -Then, he mentioned that Rod praised his icon.

-He purposely made the screen small so people couldn’t really see what he drew.

-Ishida talked about what series would he do next after Animal Rap ends.

-He likes Tomato. That’s probably why he drew Tomato in Choujin X.

-Ishida discussed with the viewers about different rap series they want Ishida to make eg. Object Rap, Food Rap, etc.

-Someone suggested doing Onigiri Rap, but Ishida refused since he’s already eating Onigiri every day. His life would be surrounded by Onigiri if he drew that.

-He used to hate Sushi before.

-They then talked about what kind of human food would be an equivalent to Ciao Chu Ru, which is a cat treat. Cats can’t resist Ciao Chu Ru, so the food must be something human can’t live without. TS suggested weed & Ishida agreed with him, lolol.

-They talked about Gohandesuyo, which is a seaweed paste. Ishida said he wanted to eat rice with the paste after so long.

-He had a few drinking party online before this.

-The last time he had a drink with Goubaru was about 3 years ago.

-Someone suggested him to do a drinking stream, but he said he doesn’t have friends to drink with.

-He talked about throwing a drinking party with the viewers online.

-Ishida jokingly said he’d teach his fans how to draw to infiltrate Saito Naoki’s Palette Group, a place where members can send their illustrations to be checked by Saito Naoki.

-He jokingly said he’d have his fans leave their daily lives and dedicate themselves to him. He’d create a Sushi house where he’d train his fans drawing. Overseas fans could participate as well if they came to Japan, but nobody would be allowed to leave. Those who couldn’t endure the training would be banished.

-Ishida was about to snap when a fan commented that he seemed to suck at teaching. He said he’d be the devil when it comes to teaching.

-Ishida had a hard time defeating the three-headed dragon in the game, so he’s amazed that Hanae Natsuki cleared the game.

-Recently, he planned to take a break from work on weekends, but he ended up working nonetheless.

-He’s the type to feel restless on offdays because he has nothing to do.

-He wants to go seitai therapy, which is a type of massage, since his left shoulder is slightly in pain.

- He had someone helping him with the background a little.

- The chibi characters are for some sort of present when the manga volume comes out later.

- Ishida was grateful that there was a butt shot almost every single time during the lady scene in Heavy Rain.

- He was so flustered over the suggestive parts during the bathroom scene.

- He ate dog brain during the stream.

- If Tokyo Ghoul wasn’t picked up by Young Jump, he’d be writing different stuff and it’d sell more.

- He said he’s anti everything. He even told people not to read TG and said it wasn’t interesting at all.

- He hates every character in Chainsaw man.

- He told the viewers not to recommend JJ to others.

- He told the viewers not to ask him about manga anymore as it irritated him. He’d only answer Animal Rap related questions. Anyone who said anything about manga would be banned.

83. Ishida bad mouthed the assistant guy from the last stream, not realising that person was in the stream as well. He then asked whether the guy was able to wake up.

84. Someone mentioned Bleach’s author, Kubo sensei, as the one who could draw super fast. He said that being able to draw fast didn’t only include the pace you’re drawing the picture. The panels were also included. Even if you draw fast, if there’s 120 panels, it’d still gonna take time. On the other hand, if there’s only 70 panels, it’d take less time. Then there’s the art style as well. Those who use great amount of Kakeami would take a longer time. He then praised Kubo sensei’s drawing.

85. Takahashi Rumiko sensei, the author of Inuyasha was also mentioned as mangaka who drew fast. Ishida mentioned that she’s full of energy. He said young Takahashi Rumiko sensei was cute. She’s still cute now.

86. SY asked what kind of vehicle he wanted to ride. He said he’s scared of trucks. He also didn’t like riding buses. In conclusion, he didn’t wanna ride anything.

87. Ishida said it’s kinda hard to be motivated with digital drawing. He did want to draw on papers, but drawing digitally is infinitely better when he wants to fix or adjust things in his works. He often uses shortcuts as well.

88. He never really felt any sense of accomplishment, so he didn’t understand people who did. He did feel relief (?) when he completed something, but he didn’t understand the feeling of wanting to experience that sense of accomplishment again. He envied those who felt that way since he never felt it.

89. SY read TG manga for the first time the previous day. Ishida was surprised by it and asked him if he thought Ishida was just a streamer. People in the chat were also shocked by it, lol. There were people who only knew about JJ too. Ishida wondered how did SY come across his streams. Sy replied that he just thought Ishida was just someone who drew beautiful illustrations the first time he watched his stream. Ishida was grateful that he’s reading it. It didn’t really matter if he read it or not. When musicians told him that they read TG, he felt like they’re just trying to be considerate, but they probably did read it. It’s okay if they didn’t read it. He always thought that every time he met new people. He wasn’t being humble, it’s just that he preferred if people could just talk to him as usual.

90. Someone said that there were people who got shocked reading TG after they played JJ.  He said it’s because JJ was a combination between his sister & him. He also already through with TG, so the vibe was different. However, he once said in an interview that it was hard for him to get rid off TG vibes inside of him when doing JJ in the early stages. This is not the full translation of the stream. I only translated the parts I could understand & interpret or parts I found interesting/important. I’m still a beginner in Japanese, so the translations may not be accurate. If you want to repost, please repost at your own risk.

1. According to his memo, he woke up at 1.30 am that day.  He started recording his daily activities, e.g. what time he woke up and what he did.

2. He got too excited and did 100 pages of draft.

3. He’d forget his goals if he didn’t say it out loud. His goal was to draw 72 pages. Since chp 8 was already 20-something pages, so he only had around 50 pages left. Then, he could release another 2 chapters. He planned to probably release both chapters on 26th sep, but it’s impossible since he had only 6 days to finish them.

4. There are 2 fans he saw had the name Take Hirako (TG’s character) as their usernames and he’s amazed of the character’s popularity. He’d never seen fans using other characters’ names.

5. Someone asked if KotaRAW was named after Take Hirako’s dog and he replied maybe since they both had the same name.

6. He actually didn’t want to play Hitman on the last stream. He just wanted to leisurely chat with the fans. He kept on looking at the comments while playing.

7. Someone asked about the 30,000 subscribers commemoration and he suggested karaoke streaming.

8. He jokingly asked people to fill his wallet with money by buying JJ OST’s album that was released on that day.

9. He’s gonna start eating fan letters bit by bit.

10. There were karaoke versions of JJ songs included in JJ ost album and Ishida didn’t know about it. He said he was probably informed by the staff about that but he didn’t pay attention to it. He was surprised when he got to know about it.

11. He continued that Broccoli might’ve not told him since they turned his illustrations into goods without his permission.

12. Someone asked if he’d get any money from the karaoke. He heard that the fee was around 1 yen per play, but the money probably would go to Mr. Kosemura as well. (t/n: Kosemura Akira is JJ’s composer.)

13. Someone asked him if he’s watched midnight summer. He said he’s watched it. Later in the stream, he googled to see if there’s a movie called Midnight Summer. It turned out OP miswrote the tittle. It’s supposed to be Midsommar.

14. He wondered why people like to ask him or other streamers if they’ve watched this or that. If he said he didn’t watch them, people would keep asking him every single stream, just like with the Tower of God. (t/n: There’s a fan who used to ask him if he’s watched Tower of God every stream.)

15. Someone commented that they probably interested to know if Ishida watch the same thing as them. Ishida replied by saying it didn’t really matter whether he’s watched it or not. Rather than asking him that kind of question, he’d like people to write their reviews about the movies/series.  Tell him the greatness of Tower of God.

16. Ishida checked on one of his former staffs’ manga that’s currently on Tonari Young Jump. It’s something with library in the title. There was a lewd scene between the MC and one of the female characters, but the MC was expressionless throughout the scene. He thought that the MC should be wilder while he’s at it. (t/n: I tried to search for the manga title, but couldn’t find it. If anyone knows, feel free to share it in the comment.)

17. Apart from drawing 100 pages of draft, he did the colouring for magazine as well.

18. SY asked him about the typhoon & he didn’t notice it, so someone asked him if he purposely ignored SY’s question. He later told SY that he was bashing the boy for leaving the stream while he’s giving advice on the last stream.

19. He felt scared when people wishing him to be healthy or to live a long life since he felt like it was foreshadowing him falling ill.

20. Ishida passed the stages in the game easily, so he felt the game was too easy for him. He wanted to play games where he could die and retry multiple times.

21. Someone commented that Hanae Natsuki also did a playthrough of this game. He said he should’ve watched Hanae’s playthrough first before playing the game to know what kind of game it was. He also mentioned that he watched Hanae’s PUBG’s playthrough and Hanae died a lot times in the game.

22. Someone said that Hanae died in this game as well and Ishida said that Hanae wasn’t much of a gamer then.

23. He was drinking the same sake as the last stream, a honey-flavoured sake.

24. He said he might not be cut out for game streaming. This game would be fun if he were to play it before sleeping, but not at the moment. He played this game because he wanted to experience playing it for the first time with the viewers, but he’s had enough of it already. He wanted to play games where he could go crazy & be noisy.

25. He wanted to play games leisurely, but the game made him panic. If it was Hitman, he could play it in a relaxed manner since it was light. He mentioned that Resident Evil Village was a great game.

26. He’s gonna watch Hanae’s playthrough of the game later.

27. Someone commented that Hanae is noisy. He replied saying that Hanae did that to entertain the viewers. Besides, with Hanae’s voice, it’s nice listening to him talking. The way seiyuus scream was on another level.

28. There were two loli characters in the game. People asked him if he hated kids, and he said he really liked them.

*One of the villains used hypnotism on animals to attack people.

29. He said he couldn’t forgive people who do bad things to animals. The villain was coward for using those sinless animals to do his dirty works. Hearing this, people in the comment was like “sensei is angry.” He kept on saying how he didn’t like it and how pitiful the animals were. He’s gonna write a complaint to Nintendo.

30. He’s not keeping any pets at the moment. He couldn’t even take care of himself.

31. Ishida really liked the one of the loli characters and he confirmed himself to be a lolicon.

32. He goes to the gym now and then.

33. He used to go to a rock climbing place with his staffs in Shinjuku. Goubaru was really sick at that time, so he slept on a chair there. Then, Goubaru got moody when he teased him. He got sick from eating tempura in a nearby restaurant.

34. Ishida fanboying over a character name Ashley.

35. TS liked also liked Ashley & Ishida was disappointed in him, thinking he was different.

36. Someone asked how old is TS. Ishida told that person that TS wasn’t gonna answer it. Instead, he’d return the question back at them. He’d use the phrase “On the contrary”.

37. He said he has a bias view against men who like female characters like Ashley because she’s too moe, though he understood why people like her since she’s cute. It turned out Hanae also liked this character. He ended up fanboying over Ashley as well.

38. He went to the toilet for a while and people were guessing what kind of flowers did he pick this time. Last time it was dandelion, so they guessed flowers such as daisy, lavender, etc. When Ishida came back, he told them it was pansy. He mentioned that there was a grand prize, which was just an acrylic keychain, for the person who could guess it right. Unfortunately, no one did.

(t/n: The term Ishida uses whenever he goes to the toilet is “Ohanatsumi” which literally means ‘flower picking’. This term is used usually by female whenever they’re going to the toilet. That’s why people were guessing what flower did he pick this time.)

39. He’s drinking makgeolli after he just had a sake.

40. He wanted to have a drinking meeting with 500 ppl.

41. Someone thought that his idea of eating letters was just him being drunk, but he’s just hyper because he’s taking a proper break from work. He truly intended to eat the fan letters. He wasn’t drunk. He was like that even before he drank.
