We painted a new Shiranui zodiac piece this year featuring all the brush god constellations!
(Shiranui themself is in front of the Hanagami, but we did paint them. They're still there. It counts)

Another Okami remake! This time featuring Shiranui. Honestly, his design is very chaotic. I hope the newer version is a little easier on the eyes.
(New on the left; old on the right)

Day 1, Inkpot
Tumblr media
First entry for @wicked-rambles’s Okami Inktober :)
Wanted to make an Issun focused piece since he’s an artist too. Takes place before he ran away when Ishaku was said to be pretty harsh on Issun.
Not all of these will be comic pages like this. I I don’t have it in me. There will be some more in the future, just most will be single illustrations.

chibiterasu & ishaku, drawn with black & white markers + gouache.
(the blue flowery thing is van gogh themed washi tape and I love that it's perfect for decorating my okami drawings)

I'm not gonna tell anyone what to do, but I feel like a non-insignificant chunk of the Okami fandom either somehow never realised or just completely forgot that it's pretty exclusively just Issun and Ishaku who call her "Ammy". No one else calls her that lmao

🌙 Finished piece on my main blog 🌙
This is a picture I finally finished and posted in 2023 (Check link above) but I actually did the first sketch in 2018. I started the redrawing process in 2022, I find it interesting, seeing the differences between 2018's "cuter" style and 2022's style leaning more towards semi realistic, which is my current take for this kind of pieces, then again, it depends on what I want to convey and style I want to explore. Anyway, 4 years do make a change, I guess, I figured out the style I wanted to use, the one that worked better for me, in that period of time.
I always liked the concept and wanted to post something regarding this rarepair of mine (That makes totally sense lore-wise, but anyway 🤷‍♀️) so I took it as a challenge to redraw it and see how things had changed.
As I said here, I think the hardest part was trying to figure out how Kaguya's kimono looks like, since she wears a Bamboo obi in the game and getting the camera to see inside of it is very hard (Lol, that doesn't sound good), and there are still some parts that are completely hidden.
I did a color test mostly because of their eye color, since Okami's style doesn't show irises or pupils, I wanted to add it here because why not x3
I'm really considering drawing them again, as I'm fully aware of how rare this is and have some ideas about them xD
I added Amaterasu later in the process, as you can see lol.

amako hc : the difference between shiranui and amaterasu
for my particular portrayal of amaterasu, i write her prior to the events of okami, within the nebulous timeframe of her time-travelling aid lent to her reincarnation and chibiterasu.
to separate the two, i refer to 'shiranui' as amako, the nickname given to her by ishaku, and her reincarnation as ammy, the nickname given by issun.
amako is a far more solemn version of her counterpart. while at the peak of her power, she is tired, worn, and has seen and experienced much tragedy. ammy is her purer self, shed of this grief due to memory loss, and is a prime representative of how amako had been--playful, heroic, and headstrong.
as shiranui, amako was focused upon her duties to the point of personal neglect. no longer did she romp and play in the grasslands with her denizens, slain by orochi, nor did she lay down and enjoy the sun that shone because of her. her self-punishment for perceived lack is pure, undistracted focus upon the goal of orochi's destruction, and that of all evil that plagues the land and took so much precious life.
glimpses of amako's old self--or even 'new' self, when looking at ammy--can sometimes be seen. she softens up around young ones of all species, becomes gentler with those in need of a tender touch, and can occasionally summon back her playful spirit.
her poncle companion, ishaku, has noted this during their travels together. he became truly aware of the shining sun she had once been when they time travel to save ammy, seeing the contrast in their personalities and attitudes. towards the beginning of their travels together, she had been a much brighter spirit, but by the time of her death, they both grow more solemn and committed to the end, no matter what it may be.

The details of the 15 charges brought by the EFCC against former governor Darius Ishaku were presented in a federal high court in Abuja on Thursday.
In counts one and two, it is alleged that Ishaku and Yero improperly took a total of N1.10 billion from August 25, 2015, to March 21, 2016. In counts three and four, the defendants were accused of having “dishonestly diverted” a total of N1.1 billion in state funds for their own personal benefit. Count five pertains to the N193 million that the defendants are accused of misappropriating between…

Deadass the next dnd character I play is just gonna be legally distinct Waka like straight up, I love that man, uggghhhhhhhhhhh
He's genuinely the perfect example of a character I'd wanna see more of (spoilers below the cut)
He never really shows it in game aside from one of Ishaku's scrolls but he's been tortured by his own guilt for 200 years by what happened on the Celestial Plain and Ark of Yamato, and the one person/wolf goddess who could possibly understand the full extent of his suffering sacrifices herself following a prophecy that he gave her and it's heartbreaking like my poor guy
Also, during the ending, you can just feel how much he and Ammy care about each other, like how as soon (and im talking like frame 1) as she sees he's okay, she jumps on to him and starts licking him and he's just so genuinely happy to be with her I'm just so normal about them

ok i dont know why it never occurrd to me that issuns legs would be hella strong
Poncles are really strong just in general, but Issun's particularly ripped 'cause he travels a lot, a year of which he did so on his own, so without Ammy as a mount. It's probably like that for all the Celestial Envoys since they get out the most.

A Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Superintendent of Police (SP) Osemwegie Lilian, at the South Ibie Police Station, Auchi, has been accused of shielding a police officer, Sergeant Abraham Ozuobor, who allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old girl in Edo State. Reports indicate that Sergeant Ozuobor, working closely with the DPO, had significant influence over her operations. It is alleged that SP Lilian attempted to protect him due to her impending retirement this month. Inspector Edith Uduma, in a statement to SaharaReporters on Wednesday, detailed how she found Sergeant Ozuobor in a compromising position with the teenager, who had been detained for allegedly stealing a mobile phone. Read Also: University of Africa Toru-Orua (UAT) Recruitment 2024: Academic and Non-Teaching Positions Now Open On October 7, 2024, Inspector Edith, serving as the Charge Room Officer (CRO) during her night shift, recounted that Sergeant Ozuobor requested access to the cell key. She instructed the cell guard, Constable Moses Ogedengbe, to comply with his request. However, both officers failed to return the key promptly, which raised concerns. "I inquired from Constable Moses about the key’s whereabouts, and he stated that it was still with Sergeant Ozuobor, who was supposedly taking a statement from a suspect," Inspector Edith reported. "After a prolonged wait of over 30 minutes, I began searching for him." Inspector Edith noted that she checked various offices and found the admin office unlocked, despite it usually being secured. Upon entering, she discovered Sergeant Ozuobor partially undressed and the young detainee lying unconscious on a chair. The inspector recorded a video of the scene as evidence. She tried reaching out to the DPO but was unable to connect. Instead, she contacted the Station Officer (SO), Adamu Ishaku, who arrived at the station later that night. Inspector Edith stated that the SO instructed her to return the girl to her cell and promised to inform the DPO the following morning. Inspector Edith alleged that when the DPO, SP Lilian, was informed of the situation, she reacted angrily and confronted her. According to Edith, the DPO attempted to dissuade her from reporting the incident, warning her that it could jeopardize both Sergeant Ozuobor’s career and her own. "The DPO asked me what I hoped to gain by reporting Abraham. She told me not to proceed with the complaint, but I refused," Edith recounted. "She then threatened that if Abraham were dismissed, she would ensure I faced repercussions as well." Inspector Edith further claimed that the DPO ordered the immediate release of the teenage girl, seemingly to avoid further complications with the victim’s family. The matter was escalated to the Area Commander, who summoned everyone involved, including the DPO, to his office. After reviewing their statements, the Area Commander directed the detention of Sergeant Ozuobor and ordered that all officers, including the DPO, submit written statements. Inspector Edith shared that during the meeting, SP Lilian reportedly pleaded with the Area Commander to drop the case, expressing concern about her upcoming retirement. The case eventually caught the attention of higher authorities, and the Commissioner of Police (CP) was notified. Following further investigation by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), SP Lilian was criticized for failing to detain Sergeant Ozuobor immediately after the incident. Inspector Edith expressed shock at her DPO’s actions, stating that instead of condemning the misconduct, the DPO seemed intent on covering it up. She claimed that the DPO accused her of attempting to extort money from Sergeant Ozuobor, which she vehemently denied. The Edo State Police Command, following an internal investigation, confirmed disciplinary actions against the officers involved. Inspector Edith Uduma and Sergeant Abraham Ozuobor were both dismissed for misconduct. Additionally, Inspector Ibrahim Mohammed, Edith’s husband, was demoted for his alleged involvement in attempts to conceal the incident.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu, issued a statement detailing the disciplinary measures taken, emphasizing the importance of maintaining professional standards within the force. According to the statement, "The officers involved breached the Nigeria Police Force’s Standard Operating Procedures. Their actions warranted strict disciplinary measures to uphold the integrity of the police service." Yamu noted that the officers faced an orderly room trial, leading to their dismissal. He stressed that the command remains committed to addressing any form of misconduct by its personnel. [embed]https://twitter.com/i/status/1857028513141854610?new[/embed] The incident has sparked public outcry, with calls for thorough investigations and justice for the victim.
