Listen, I always want to talk about your fics Iโm a gluttonous gal when it comes to your writing. Therefore I have TWO requests:
Can you tell me a bit more about my favourite guy ex-husband!dieter - what do you have planned for him?
Would you please be able to share a snippet from your Dave York fic? ๐๐ it is one of my favourites and I must be fed ๐งโโ๏ธ
Bye, love ya ๐
ask me about my WIPS
ella i adore you to bits <3
about ex-husband dieter: i currently have a story i'm working on that covers the history of ex-wife!reader and him: where they met, how they married, why they divorced, etc, etc. i don't have any definite plans for him, not really. he sorta came to me one day and i've just been riding that wave as it strikes my fancy. i will maybe shoot myself in the foot here and tell you that he and his ex-wife aren't getting back together. i think they are much more interesting as two people who have grown apart, but still love each other immensely, sometimes platonically, sometimes a little more than platonically. it goes even beyond romantically, at times. as a writer i find it nice to explore different types of relationships like that, especially with a character like dieter bravo.
as for the dave york story: i'm SO happy to hear you like that one. it was a lot of fun to conceptualize and its got a special place in my heart. having said that, i did kinda abandon it in favor of other stories, so i don't have much for what comes next with that one. i was putting my hands in a lot of cookie jars and not finishing much, so i've decided to narrow in my focus on in one story and then gradually go back and finish the others. i'm happy to tell you that after fade into you is done, goodbye, baby is definitely the next one that will be finished. i plan for it to be on the shorter side, maybe six chapters max, and i think i might just finish it all and then post it, a chapter a week or something like that.
here is something that i wrote though, just for you:
The city is sticky, clogged with dirty air and a bored indifference Dave has never been able to really stand. He turns the amber liquid in his tumbler and frowns at his mirrored reflection in the window pane. Thereโs a dull, ceaseless thud in the back of his skull. Ada Perez. The circulatory nature of his thoughts regarding her gives him pause. Really, itโd be easier he just killed her. Fired her. Ruined her. Instead he anticipates her. At first it had been simple, explainable: he liked the power, relished her the way a cat does when they meet a worthy advisory in a too-quick mouse. Intellectually, he found her stimulating. She was quick witted and sharp, had a professional stoicism that bore none to well with his brand of sadism -- which only made it that more inciting. He knew from the moment she had stepped into his life that she was going to be an asset. Dave had recognized the glimmer of her narrowed focus when she stuck out her hand for him to shake. She had been so little in that made-to-wear suit of hers, but already she had mastered what had taken him a lifetime to understand: big personality. In equal measures, he hated her for what she was and relished her for what she wasn't. He knows that it's beyond the simple strokes of hate and disgust now -- even beyond the shades of like and love. It's muddied by lust, by want, by human fallibility. Desire is as good as a self afflicted gun shot to the temple. He needs to squash it, get rid of her.
