Sunlight filters through the curtains of Jeongguk's bedroom, on the bed you peacefully nap but the former is no where to be found. A set alarm rings next to you, Jungkook's sweet vocals of 'Euphoria' filling the bedroom and echoing off the walls. You, of course, hadn't been expecting it and awake with a confused start, turning off the alarm on your phone only to notice the envelope next to it that simply reads, "Come find me~" in the males signature teasing way. Upon opening the envelope you're met with a card, and once you flip it around the following words are scrawled in Jungkook's handwriting:

"Ah, you've found the very first clue, my love. Lucky me that you're the curious type, right? "Why would Jungkook have an envelope here?" Is that what you're thinking? I'm glad I managed to pique your interest with the note~ But anyway, get ready, love. I'm about to bring you down a trip down memory lane in a fun way... which means leaving my apartment. But it will be worth it, trust me! answer: the park where i made you wait in the rain for a badly made cupcake.

it's not often she wakes up without her lover clung to her side, his tight embrace feeling warm despite the season—yet, this time around she seems to be greeted with the cold sheets and a persistent pout on her lips. honestly, she trails herself back to sleep on and off for who knows how long. she simply didn't want to think about him not being beside her given the.. recent announcements from their company.

but, as always, the boyfriend keeps his common trend of interrupting or surprising her in the oddest of ways.

her phone blares a familiar tune that forces her to jump up in the bed. it takes a moment for her to fully process what's happening until her gaze traces to her phone buzzing on the night stand in rhythm with the song. chaewon wasn't sure what to think, really only expecting him to remind her to eat in a cute way. the thought made her giggle, really, the idea he invaded her phone so that she'd still wake up to him one way or another. if it be pixels in a screen or his dumb sleepy face.

obviously that wasn't the case, when her hand reached to turn the alarm off and a suspicious envelop caught her attention. now it'd be wrong of her if she didn't peek into it given the handwriting scribbled onto the paper. clearly, this was meant to be for her, right? there's no harm in opening it. besides, she was positive even if it wasn't for her that he wouldn't mind her frequently nosey self peeking through his things.

it'd be hard to describe the smile that spreads across her face after that.

a gift? a date? a surprise? any of those options would be something exciting to her. like he said in the note, they're not the type to leave his apartment, and usually staying for dates within those walls— but this? she's more than intrigued with a happily beating heart in her chest. simply seeing his handwriting and cute teasings raised her spirits a little too easy. it's just something he's always been able to do for her.

this answer would probably be the easiest one out of all the riddles he could have possibly made. it brings back memories of meeting him in the park, showing up incredibly late, offering him a personally baked cupcake he hated, then some time bonding at an arcade.. as friends? yeah. back then she already knew her feelings for him and how much she adored his bunny-like smiles.

chaewon grew impatient with herself by finally pushing out of bed. she can feel her nerves tingling despite not usually being one for surprises; but she was sure this one took a lot of thought and she wanted to experience it the way he intended. what was she to wear? what should she expect? should she do her makeup? oh, she's going to be late to that park again over her common indecisiveness.

at least he's not expecting her to bake another cupcake.. right?
