Ok I totally get your point and your anger toward Wtfock "big" bosses and I also agree with you but one thing you might not be agree with me and I totally understand is that at some point we need to move on from s4, they didn't give a fuck to give us pocs the importance we need, but is not just their own fault, IF we really want a change then why we pocs still accepting working with this people? Why we pocs keep consuming their trash?; If we all keep on just complaining but we don't do something then there's no point, if we all are realistic with ourselves specially us pocs we should stop watching since Kato was announced as main, Noa probably read the script so he could have said no, Nora could also said something about it maybe ask for an apology from them to us before keep on going with next season, I totally understand is not that easy because they have a contract, they are working and those jobs gives them food, they are young and wathever else you want to add but on a matter like this one just extreme reactions like this one could make the change happen. Now a lot of people says they gonna watch for Nora to support her and I'm one of those but the truth is we shouldn't keep on consuming this content after the disrespect they portrait and they still probably gonna keep on portraying even with Nora there and the white allies I love them but once the season starts we all gonna be here watching and discussing the type of content still makes privilege grow and put our lives on risk and if you see things on their side they don't have any debt with an audience already forgive them or forget when the cute couples post and if they already talked it with the cast.
Since you have disclosed that you are a person of color am going to address you specifically and very differently. I don't know how old you are.... I hope you’re young so you have alot of runway to grow and really start analyzing and evaluating the world around you and the game thats at play that you never even signed up for but we’re born into. When you utter this phrase “I totally understand is that at some point we need to move on from s4″ it actually breaks my heart a little because you are so unaware of how society has conditioned you into identifying problematic behavior that hurts you but has groomed you into just shrugging your shoulders and saying well “its not gonna change anything.
So I guess I’ll just take the abuse and keep it moving” and the grooming of problematic contentment begins at an early age and is slowly spoon fed into your cognitive behavior. So eventually you get to a place where you utter the exact phrase you just did “well I know I have been abused but [I] should move on and [I] (the victim) should let it go”. Ask yourself why are you so content to allow feelings of hurt to be pushed around? Why do you shrug your shoulders? Why do you present the idea (that you yourself know is controversial) like allowing your voice to whimper off when you are in the right? Also lets get a few things strait. Noa and also Romi because lets get all the facts out there did not read this script and okay it. The original season just presented an influencer (Kato) falling for her rival (Moyo). Thats it. They were no racial undertones to that relationship in the script. However the big bosses of wtfock thought they would try shelve out some performative wokeness and made their first time inexperienced white female writer try to write about really complex racial topics she had no experience with literally write them on the fly. They were modifying the script as the season filmed so no Noa never agreed to this script. Also another point, “Nora could also said something about it” she did say something tho. At the beginning of the season and then at the end. Also Noa specifically has commented like 4 times at minimum at how unhappy s4 made him and also when he won that award he didnt thank production or his crew Noa went out of the way to thank the fans. No other person on that s4 team would have thanked the fans but Noa because we spent all season dragging the crew for their shit and Noa thanked the fans in his speech. He did what Rutgers refuses to do which is acknowledge the fans. He said “the fans are most important”, let that sink in why he chose those words. Also you say “lets move on”, lets find a way to break bread but you know what not moving on did for Nora’s season? Don't you wonder why the last addition to the balloon squad is a black guy? Why the balloon squad is bigger than any other balloon squad that has ever been created? Why Yasmina’s noora character is also woc and muslim too. Why Noa was the person sent out to pick up that award even tho he wasnt the main of s4? Why moyo isn’t in the fight scene anymore? Why these white dudes have privately apologized to Noa for their bullshit and now you see Rutgers publicly saying on the gram that “Noa deserves the world”. All those actions are a results of the fandom not moving on and hounding these people to change and wearing them down and of course their changes are always surface but they are noticeable. So lets close this theology session out. There is a saying americans voice often which is “don't hate the player, hate the game”. Meaning just because the odds are stacked against you doesnt mean you shouldn’t support the players within the system trying to break through. There has only ever been two women in the entire history of cinema to win an academy award for best director and one foreign production team to win best picture. If people took the notion of well the academy awards are racist (which they are) why even try? None of these people would have even broke the ceiling. Support the players because at the end of the day they are just trying to identify a weakness in the system. Never stop fighting for them because if they win, we all win. I once heard a quote that has stayed with me for a long time. When all the heroes in a story don't look like you, you can never picture yourself as the hero. So dare to dream anon, and be the hero.

Revised Thoughts on S4 of wtFock
This is a revised version of my thoughts about season 4 of wtfock. When I wrote this post after the season, I was extremely angry and upset about everything that had happened in the season. The whole post was all over the place with a lot of grammatical errors. I’ve taken about a year or two to reflect on my thoughts and please know that everything written in this post is very much true to how I feel still to this day about this season.
TW: I talk about s*lf h*rm and racism
Sections:
What’s Skam About?
Where Wtfock Went Wrong
The Writers Choices
Kato
Character’s Development Tanked
Unnecessary Plots
Unresolved Plots
What I Loved About The Show
What’s Skam About?
Skam is a Norwegian web series that tackles real life problems that teens and young adults face in their lives. Each season is focused on one character and highlights their struggles in the world. What made the show so loved among varies individuals from all over the world was the real life aspect of it and how relatable it was. Throughout the week, clips, text messages, and Instagram content dropped at varies hours of the day. It was as if you were in the shoes of the character which was the whole point. Everyone can relate to at least 1 or 2 of the main characters.
Season 1: Ava
Season 2: Nora
Season 3: Isak
Season 4: Sana
Where Wtfock Went Wrong
Wtfock is an amazing remake. The soundtrack was TOP TIER, the additional scenes added, the everyday clips, the beloved characters, etc were amazing but where Wtfock went wrong was when they lost the meaning of Skam. Seasons 1-3 were amazing even through season 3 had some problems (we’ll talk about that later). Even through Wtfock is it’s own remake, it’s still a remake of Skam which means you can obviously make changes and make the remake your own but don’t forget the heart of Skam.
The Writers Choices
A lot of choices the writers made throughout the course of the show was to create shock value. In addition, the writers never took responsibility for their actions or choices.
Season 3 had a lot of shock value scenes. For example, Robbe and Sander getting beat up, Robbe standing on the edge of the bridge, Robbe calling Sander the f slur word, etc. For a chuck of these scenes, the writers/social media interns didn't put trigger warnings on clips. Especially for the clip with Robbe and Sander getting beat up by homophobes. Now I will say, when the fans called them out for the Robbe and Sander getting beat up scene, they did apologize and added a trigger warning but that should've already been added before the clip dropped.
In season 4, the writers moved Yasmina’s (a muslim girl) season to season 5 and gave season 4 to Kato (a white racist) when it should’ve been Yasmina’s being that in Skam, the fourth season goes to the muslim character. Season 4 was so hurtful, disrespectful, and a spit in the face to the muslim fans and the poc fans because majority of the main characters in Skam are white so being able to have a season in the pov of a poc was amazing. Especially a muslim character because that’s something that you don’t see on TV a lot. It would’ve been okay if they gave the season to another poc character like Nia, Moyo (which I originally thought they would've gave the season too). If they wanted to wait to do Yasmina’s season like they claim, they could came back a year later or so to do her season. We fans are okay with waiting. We would rather have a season that is written well than a season that is disrespectful and hurtful.
In season 5, the writers put Yasmina through hell and made her the villain. The beginning of the season was excellent but as the season continued, they continued to have other characters say racist comments just like the previous season. But this time, they completely destroyed their character’s and made Yasmina a “crazy brown skin” girl. They made her look like the villain when she was the victim.
A lot of the writers choices shows how much they don’t care about their fans and how they don’t care about what they are teaching the audience. A lot of topics shown in the season 4 was dangerous to show. Especially to certain fans who doesn't know much about the the topics shown in season 4. The writers were basically saying that you can say racist, micro aggressive comments and use your white privilege to get what you want in life. This was the message they were spreading from season 4 to the end of the show (season 5).
Like with all writers and shows, they begin to care more about the money than what they write. And wtfock writers fell victim to this cycle. Wtfock started to care more about the sponsors than their fans. And this all started during/after season 3. The writers saw how much the fans loved sobbe, how much we loved season 3, and they got money hungry. During season 3, they sponsored in varies of clips but season 4 had an insane amount of sponsors. Season 3 was excellent and taken well among the fandom so the writers gave us wtFockdown which was awesome not only because it was during the pandemic but, it developed all the characters. With Wtfockdown being such a success, the writers took it upon themselves to write their own original season (being season 4) which we know was terrible.
Kato
Me knowing that they would try to include the events that was happening in the world right now, I knew they would make her a racist. We all knew that they would do that. But it's not even that, they straight up try to act as if they didn't know they made a racist character. Not only that but, they made her manipulative, self-centered, and selfish. And they try to play it as " don't judge a book by its cover and if we are judging K*to, we are just like her" like stfu.....that’s bullsh*t and they know it. They knew what they were doing. For the last 10 weeks, they have taught no lesson!! The only lesson they have taught is "using your white privilege will get you everything that you want and when you don't, you can throw a tantrum and have everyone feel bad for you and apologize to you" like please. They have fans backing up K*to's actions and feeling bad for her. Then they tried to use the quote "always be kind because someone can be fighting a battle" to back up her actions and racist comments like nooo things don't work that way. Then they try to shove her down our throats with her problems so we feel sympathy for her. Don't sit here and introduce her mental health issues HALF way through the season, and then never talk about it. Then include a s*lf h*rm clip in the LAST episode for shock value and to have us feel sympathy for her! It was so disrespectful and irresponsible to not even put a TRIGGER WARNING on the clip!! They have people like my myself struggling with their mental health and the fact they didn’t even care to put a trigger warning on the clip is just disgusting!! And then have her manipulated Moyo so that she could get what she wanted which was to win that stupid dance competition. Which leads Moyo to crashed the car THAT SHE MADE HIM DRIVE WITH NO LICESNE!! Then fled the scene. Are you fucking kidding me!!! Then she has the nerve to say “It was just a car! I can’t dance ever again!” after she sprained her ankle! Like its a SPRAIN!! It will heal!!! Then have her make an apology video which she ends up posting on her Instagram with people who have zero idea WTH she is talking about! Literally she realized that she was a terrible person after spraining her ankle!! Seriously??? Something bad happens to her for the first time and she is like “oh man, I have been such a shitty person!” Like wtaf!!!!! She makes everything about her. She never got punished for anything. They made every character around her apologize when she should of been the one apologizing to them for everything she said and has done. K*to really believes she has changed because she has been with Moyo like where??? Where the hell is the change!? Cause I don’t see it! The season is over and we still have no idea who this girl was! Like this was a waste! And the way they sidelined every other character just pissed me off even more. They didn't even develop the other characters. Nor did they even try to make K*to connect with the other characters. K*to was just there!! There was no genuine connection at all. Because she didn't even try to get to know the other characters because she made everything about her. They had characters ooc for K*to. The unnecessary drama between Zoe, Moyo out of nowhere forgiving K*to and having him keep going back to her when the Moyo I know would never let someone say something racist to him and still be okay with them, having Yasmina sit in silence while K*to just said racist comments and the girl squad so worried about K*to’s feelings compared to how Yasmina felt. I honestly feel like they don’t try to develop the boy squad, specifically Moyo. I feel out of ever character, he has been the one who makes 2 steps forward but they always take him 10 steps back. And its beyond infuriating! Like seriously!!!  Plus she was an influencer and she literally never posted like wtf. First of all Skam is based on relatable things. Things that teenagers go through or struggle with. Tell me how we relate to K*to about being an influencer. Like wtf!! That just shows you that the writers only made her a influencer so that we would buy her clothes just like we did Sobbe’s. That’s the only reason! So they could get money! They didn’t even try to make the season make sense! Now if they would of took out her racism and made the season about her mental health and how her mental health correlates with her brothers drug addiction and/or her being an influencer, that would of worked! But no they had her say racist comments and tried to correlate her racism to her own problems! Like mental health issues and drug addictions don’t cause you to make racist comments. The fact that the writers were completely silent just shows that they didn't expect the fans to react this way. How did you think we were going to react!? We are not stupid!!  They straight up had Nora speak about what the season was suppose to be about. Which doesn’t make sense at ALL but, whatever!  I can't even believe this was a season. Like right in the middle of the BLM movement, they decided to write this😒like I can't even. They have lost so many fans and so many fans have said they would not be back to watch season 5. The fact that they did this right before their Sana season which is one of the season’s that gets the less views. Like really??  I don't blame the fans for not wanting to come back because honestly I'm conflicted. I don't even know if I want to come back to watch season 5. They have completely lost me as a fan. The way I felt so disrespected by these writers for (1) taking away a poc season to give it to another white main and (2) for being so careless about mental health issues .As someone who is a poc and someone who struggles with mental health it just felt like a spit in the face. Its not even that I am upset, I am angry and mad! With so much happening in the world, you really thought this was a good season to write. Really??? What hurts the most is that this was my favorite remake and it has become my least favorite. I love the cast and their characters except K*to. I just feel sorry that they have to be associated with this!! I don't trust these writers to take on Yasmina's season. Yeah, I know Nora is going to help them with season 5 but still. I don't know how they are going to draw back in their lost fans, including myself. We thought Skam france S5 and S6 were bad, no Wtfock S4 is worst. They didn’t even try to put time and effort in writing the script and it really shows🙄 I am so sorry to all fans that felt disrespected and triggered by things that has happened in this season. I am truly so sorry❤ My heart goes out to all of you!! And please add anything else if I missed anything!!

hot take on season 4 stuff
I’ve seen a few posts circulating about season 4 of wtFOCK and the potential for a season 5. I put together this list in hopes that it will motivate people to continue their involvement in watching season 4.
1. Yasmina I shouldn’t have to say much more than this. Yasmina is an incredibly lovable character who we’ve had the delight of getting to know throughout the series. She is a solid landing place for Robbe, hinting his involvement in her season (aside from the parallels to the OG and other remakes).
Yasmina as a Muslim woman though, and as a main character, are big deals for marginalized groups that have never had that representation in a production before. The other seasons (primarily) highlighted how important this is and I’d like to stress the importance of this for Yasmina’s season as well. If we don’t support marginalized groups (women, poc, religious minorities, or any combination), it highlights our lack of interest to the entertainment world. Let’s not do that. For wtFOCK to end up in a large news paper, highlighting the 10 million views the show has gotten only for that to disappear when a Muslim woman becomes the main? That will send a message, intentional or not.
2. Potential for a Season 5
This is pretty basic. Interest in a show is one of the best ways to ensure that the show continues on in further seasons. I won’t explain more about this. That doesn’t necessarily mean being a tumblr blog dedicated to season 4 of wtFOCK but it does mean the engagement with social media and watching the show where you can. I don’t mean to say the online population is the primary source of hits for the show nor are we its target audience but there is some level of recognition that is garnered through social media. The producer has liked several posts about a Sander season 5. Does that mean anything? It may not, but why ruin our chances when it’s possible?
3. “But Season 3 was so stressful”
I have some basic things to say here. I’ve seen a number of people who said they were going to completely bow out of the fandom because of Season 3.
Unfollow people who have opinions that you simply don’t vibe with
Ignore or delete asks that complain about something you enjoyed
Don’t engage in discourse if it isn’t productive or meaningful to you
Block users that abuse the tag to spam their frustrations with the show especially if that negatively impacts you
Surround yourself with people who are respectful, thoughtful and reflective
Take frequent breaks from social media and especially the tag
This season was particularly stressful. There were moments of great writing and moments that have left us concerned or questioning. There were moments where a lot of viewers felt the writers were focused on shock value or cliffhangers instead of a full story.
While the season is not yet done and I can’t speak to those matters, I can say that I’ve enjoyed my experience by surrounding myself with people who communicate the way that I do. People who respect one anothers’ opinions, people who try to filter negativity out and only focus on the positives.
Did I see complaints on my dash about “not enough Sander” and then posts responding that it’s not his season? Yeah. But if it went too far, I unfollowed. There were a lot of posts about mental illness discourse, some of which were quite frankly really toxic. I unfollowed. Even if the user themselves doesn’t have those opinions but is spamming your dash with the opinions of other people just so they can argue, you don’t have to follow that.
You are not obligated to follow someone that stresses you out. You are not obligated to engage with people who stress you out. You are not obligated to post asks/anonymous messages of people who stress you out. Your social media experience can 100% be determined by your choices and who you interact with.
If the fandom stressed you out, seek out those people that lived in the middle ground, that celebrated what you celebrated and spoke about matters that were important to you. Your mental health is important and this show, or a section of its community, should not be apart of that.
so with this, I really hope to see active participation in season 4 of wtFOCK. I really hope that people were here for the story, the acting, the representation and I hope that they are not so caught up in Robbe and Sander that season 4 is not of interest to them.
I really hope that season 3′s success will only inspire further success for the next season which can create room for a fifth. I hope that next season, I don’t see people complaining “we had so much Zoenne in Robbe’s season, where are Robbe and Sander?” because it won’t be productive or conducive to conversations.
This is not, has not been, and will not be the Robbe and Sander show. Robbe lived with Zoe and Senne, making their interactions a pivotal part of his growth, relationships and every day life. Will Robbe and Sander be part of Yasmina’s life? Most likely but she will be the focus, just as Robbe was our focus now.
If we ever want a Sander season, I suggest that we learn to love the main as we move forward and let the story be theirs.
thanks for coming to my tedtalk

Okay so against my better judgement even after the shut show of s4 I still had hopes for wtfock cause they said Nora dari had played a part in the making of the script or whatever and I'm not gonna lie they really had me in the first half of the season but now I guess they reully are living up to their name
I genuinely expected them you turn around and ditch the girls quad say F U to blonde ambition and have yasmina be friends with people that actually care about her because that would be logical no?
If they'd done this the season would be semi decent I mean there was no reason why they had to make her suffer so much just to prove this point and then ruin yet another character but this is genuinely the worst sana season
At this point I'm convinced that they Could've made a good season but they made a conscious decision not to and instead painted the poc woman of colour as a victim for what reason I don't understand
Anyway my only take aways from this season are Nora dari is a queen that we just don't deserve (wtfock definitely doesn't) and I believe in youmina superiority and that's all the positives I've seen
See I also wanted to have faith in the season bc Nora deserved it and it was the last sana, the fact that we had to wait for wtfock to do it right already had us on thin ice, but yeah I’m an optimistic person 🤷🏼‍♀️ but we shouldn’t have.
In typical Wtfock fashion, they took the og storylines and took it to 1000, just drama on top of drama on top of more drama. I always knew that they wouldn’t let yasmina drop the squad no matter what, but they made all of the characters so irredeemably awful that it feels like a joke if you expect your audience to believe it or be satisfied ?
And what they hadn’t done before was try so hard to get the audience to believe the main is in the wrong. We are all waiting for something that won’t happen. Ever since yasmina created the account, they took every opportunity to have every single character point out how awful and wrong she was, blame her for stuff she had nothing to do with, ignore her, gaslight her, having her beg for help from the same kind of ignorant character she was trying to expose, hell even younes said she could “fix it”. There’s nothing to fix, yasmina had every right to do what she did but the writers never intended for us to feel that way. They want to push yasmina into a corner until she apologizes for having hurt white people’s feelings. That’s a terrifying message.
And about Nora, I have conflicting feelings about the whole helping the writers thing. Because while its great that they listen to her, you can’t put all the weight of a season on the shoulders of a young aspiring actress who represents just one person and one perspective out of an entire community, you can’t hide behind her. And as much as we were told that she had a say on stuff, we can clearly see how little that mattered, how little they listened and how this story was never written with Muslims and poc in mind. I love Nora and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her, Wtfock did her dirty

Will I ever understand what possessed wtfock to hire another unrealistic, unrelatable skinny white model looking girl into their cast following the backlash of season 4?
They are their own worst enemy I stg.
Keisha was literally right there to be part of that group if you needed someone. New girls not even “blonde” as if that was the criteria 🙄 (well aware the white model thing wasn’t S4s main issue by any means but you know what I’m saying)
I’m just really struggling to find any enjoyment in anything they’re doing leading into this season at this point. Dead/boring Pinterest socials, absolute no hype for Yasmina, more white casting (I know I know we have new pocs too, but that’s bare minimum for a Muslim leads season), and what sounds like a bunch of plot points I have no faith in them delivering in a non-offensive way... yeeesh.
Help me Lucid, I’m losing faith.
similar anon: Auntie Lucieee I’m boreeeeeed 🥱😩
I am not losing faith per say but I think this run up has been hella boring. Like people are back in the tag but I am missing like the spark and i get we may get the spark once we see yasmina on Monday but I wish I was more thirsty ya know?? Like I want to be absolutely on the edge of my seat for a clip to drop and I am just not and that's because wtfock pacing for their run up is so trash. I am sorry it is. Like lets build momentum and then go silent for 3 days and drop once basic picture of artificial vanilla who no one is checking for. Its like ughhh can you please give us interesting in-canon content. This has been one of the most lackluster approaches to building narrative hype for a main ever. They have provide almost no character social content and its so dry..... i am not losing my patience because am excited am losing my patience because am yawning and am about to fall asleep waiting for shit to happen. Also the actress kesha pretty sure left wtfock or she just hasn't been on set at all. I know because I asked about her several times and no one has seen her.
